Our first call to inquire about a vehicle was not a great first impression. We are seasoned buyers and knowing these things work. After researching a used vehicle online for my son and willing to purchase and pay cash we contacted McGrath. The dealership was an hour drive but we were willing to do it if the price was right, we knew what was fair and willing to pay. First, clearly newer sales person did not do a great job of getting someone who was highly interested in said vehicle to even take down our contact information after she was told they could only drop a bit on the price…basically just said “okay”. Shocked and a bit disappointed I called back and spoke to a sales manager Ray who was willing to work with us and negotiated right on the phone. From that point on it was painless. A few hours later we drove in, test drove and signed the paperwork to purchase. All done in the matter of 2hours! Glad I called back but man they need to do some better training with their new sales staff. Very happy with the new ride!

I was very pleased with the service I received from Kevin. The whole team worked to give me a fair deal on my trade and a fair price on a new car. It was obvious they wanted to earn my business but also that they appreciated it. If I find myself in the market again I will certainly use them!

I enjoy going to this dealership. This is not the closest one to my house, but I go out of my way because they have the best price for an oil change. People working here are kind, and always get you in and out fast. Definitely would recommend to get your oil changed here! I also purchased tires here (was cheaper than going to Costco!).

Al was great. He was very easy to work with and had the best attitude ever. I’ve been to a lot of dealerships and I have always gotta people who don’t care about you and who just want to sell you the car and get you out. This was not the case here. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. They made the whole process very easy and fast. If I ever need another car I will definitely be coming back to see “Asian Al” as he called himself. :)

I just bought my car on 8/13/2021. I had such a great experience that I wanted to leave a review. My sales representative was Mike Malak. He was absolutely amazing! He was very nice, honest, not pushy, and I saw that his interest was to help me find a car that fits my needs. I had told him that I will come back to look at the car with my mom, he was very understanding and was NOT pushy with trying to sell me the car that minute. I did come back and decided to buy the car. After I bought it, he even spent the time to help me learn about the features of the car and how to connect my cell phone to the car. A few days later he even called me to let me know that they have found the second key to the car and that he had sent the owner's manual to my email. I even had a great experience during the process of signing the paperwork for the car. David Pounds was very kind and provided me with lots of information about whether buying extra warranty would be in my interest. To be honest, I was shocked how smooth the process was and it was even fun which is typically not associated with buying a car. I would highly recommend McGrath Honda in Elgin. I felt that they were not just trying to sell me a car but that they understood that this is big purchase and I need to feel comfortable with it.
