Great experience! I drove 3 hours to look at vehicle and Chris handled everything great! I knew the vehicle had a lot of interest and Chris was gracious enough to hold it until I could make it there. I did purchase the vehicle and was thoroughly pleased with how the transaction went. I also looked over several of their other vehicles and I must say, they are very particular about the vehicles they put on the lot. All in great or excellent condition. Would definitely buy from them again in the future

My daughter recently purchased a vehicle here and her negative experience resulted in an avoidable safety issue. We test drove the vehicle and I told them I had concerns about the brakes. They did not want me to take the vehicle to Etowah to be checked and claimed the vehicle could not leave Athens. They assured me the vehicle had been inspected and everything on the vehicle with less than 50% use had been replaced and that is how the vehicle qualified for the 6 month/6,000 miles warranty they purchased for it. I continued to express concern over the brakes, and they were so confident the brakes were good that if there were any problems for 30 days, then they would take care of the repair or replacement. They continued to stress that the vehicle was, after all, covered under warranty. I took the vehicle to a trusted mechanic I have used for 10+ years. He said the brakes, pads, and rotors (front and back) needed to be replaced. The front and rear rotors had been glazed and the front brakes had very little use left in them. I took the estimate to McMinn Motors. He said he would not pay for any repairs, questioned the judgement of the mechanic, and accused him of overpricing the work. He said he would examine the car and if HE determined that work was needed then he would do the work since he is a “certified mechanic.” He did not disclose any of this information when he was making his false promises to take care of any brake issues and the warranty was worthless too. I refused to allow him to work on the vehicle. He lied about the condition of the brakes and he misrepresented how he planned to fix them. There was absolutely no way I would trust him to fix a brake problem he had lied about. How could I even trust that he would fix them correctly, or at all, at this point? If he is a “certified mechanic”, as he claims, then he would have known about the brake condition and that makes his sales pitch even more deceitful. I share this experience with you to warn you not to trust what these men tell you about the condition of a vehicle. For my daughter, this was a safety issue. If we had trusted what they said about the condition of the brakes, she could have been in an accident and injured herself or others. Thankfully, I had the vehicle checked and had all the necessary repairs done by the person I do trust. I would encourage anyone that has bought a vehicle from them to go and have their brakes inspected for safety. There is always a risk when buying a used vehicle and the buyer must accept a certain level of risk. If he had told me the condition of the brakes was unknown and I still bought the vehicle, then that would have been a risk I accepted. Instead, he chose to be deceptive and misleading and for this I will never do business with them again. I hope you will consider shopping elsewhere, too. As a side note, we traded her vehicle with them. He went over a long list of items wrong with the vehicle and stressed that it had those faults because it was so cheaply made. I doubt he disclosed any of that to the new buyer since he advertised it as a “beauty.” This is just another example of his deceitfulness. SHOP ELSEWHERE!

My parents have purchased four cars from this dealer and my brother one. After searching for several months, I located the perfect 2011 Toyota RAV4 Limited at this dealer. The car appeared to be in excellent condition in the on-line photos and to my delight the condition was even better when I visited for a test drive. It didn't take long for me to decide that I loved it and made plans to secure financing and return on Monday. I called about a specific vehicle and received a very detailed description about the car and the dealership. I was pleased to learn that McMinn Motors is a family business and that they had been in business for over 30 years. We set up a time to test drive the vehicle. Everything was as described and the vehicle performed perfectly. The sale took only a few minutes. One person handled everything. It was nice not to have to talk to two or three other people to make the sale. We compared this vehicle with many others, and it was the best deal. We are very satisfied.

My wife was bitten by the "Mazda Miata MX-5" bug. After weeks of searching for suitable vehicles on local dealer lots and on line we found a car we were interested in at McMinn Motors. We finally decided to make the nearly three hour drive to see the car first hand and pleasantly discovered that the car looked exactly as described in the 32 photos and the write-up that we viewed on McMinn Motors web site. The entire team at McMinn Motors is a pleasure to deal with. They are a family business that takes great pride in their reputation. Chris is a great young man that is enthusiastic about his job. He maintains and updates the website daily. His dad knows the business end of closing a deal very well and makes the buying process very easy. He even traveled with us to the local County Court Clerk's office to help us register the car after the purchase. His two uncles also work there and they were very helpful to assist in whatever way was needed. They do not try to pressure anyone into making a purchase, and they have an excellent attitude toward customer service when making a deal. They rightly deserve the A+ rating they have from the Better Business Bureau. You owe it to yourself to visit McMinn Motors if you are looking to purchase a used vehicle. My daughter and I found a great car online at McMinn Motors. I was worried that the car's description was too good to be true, and this was a concern since we were traveling 2 hours to get there. When we arrived and checked out the car we were pleasantly surprised. The car was as good as its description! Additionally, we noticed a number of good looking used autos available. See Chris; he's an enthusiastic young man who is proud of his family's 30 years in business and he wants to keep their strong reputation in tact. We've had the car one week, had it put up on a rack and checked by mechanics and all is good. We are happy campers!

McMinn Motors Inc. helped me end my many months of searching for an amazing car at an amazing price. I only wish I had known about their amazing deals sooner. When I got on the lot I found myself surrounded by "too good to be true" deals on almost all the vehicles. The best part is that they are the real deal. Also, all of the staff was extremely helpful. When my bank in Chattanooga had forgotten to sign the check, one of their staff members drove all the way down to Chattanooga with us to get the check. I know where to look first for my next car now.
