We were very happy with the dealership's willingness to work with us to come up with a price that was acceptable on a vehicle with all of the equipment we desired. Krista was kind, understanding and worked to ensure that we were taken care of fully. The process was smooth and hassle free. We will be returning to consider Mercedes when we purchase another vehicle. The GLC we purchased is an outstanding vehicle. With less than 2,000 miles on my car, the engine light came on. Called Dan Moreau before leaving my drive & he said just bring it in. Being just a little "weepy" over having to make a service call in less than 4 months of buying the new car, Dan walked me through the steps of getting a loner car (another 300) and assuring me he would keep me posted of what was "wrong" with the car. They needed to change the spark plugs as 1 miss fired.

They provide 5 star service, but their sales people, well suck! They ignore potential buyers in the showroom based on how you are dressed! Blow off the E or S buyer dressed super casual (waiting on service), then suck up to the A or C class buyer wearing a suit. I sat in 4 cars, spent an hour in the showroom while my 2013 E350 was being serviced, and not 1 person approached me! The one I approached to ask about the new E350, blew me off, I ended up buying an Acura RLX-SH (Advanced package) 3 days later! They could have gotten a sale, but apparently, I wasn't dressed like a high end Benz buyer, so my money went elsewhere.

I was in the market for a new car to replace a car I had purchased from American Service Center. I was a longtime customer of American Service Center and was very surprised with their unwillingness to work with me on the purchase of a new vehicle. When I went back to them to purchase a new vehicle they gave me the run around and were not willing to entertain a reasonable purchase offer I had made. I was told that the dealership could not make the deal since the numbers were too far off and not even remotely close. After being a loyal customer for 20+ years, I was shocked and decided to visit other dealerships. I was able to purchase the same vehicle with the exact specifications that I wanted at a dealership in Maryland for the exact same offer and trade-in value.

American Service Center in Arlington is very accessible and conveniently located near my home. I purchased my car nearly eight years ago and am pleased Dan Moreau has always been my service coordinator. All contacts with him have been exceptionally well managed and pleasant. Wondy, also in the service department has been particularly helpful. too. When my car's body was damaged a few years ago, ASC service was quite efficient. My initial acquaintance with ASC sales was quite nice. Mark Zetlin and the entire staff have been, too. Courtesy washing is appreciated.

My experience with my first MB (a 2013 SLK-350) was outstanding. I enjoyed working with the salesman (Larry Haney) and the car's performance for 3 years was everything I could have hoped for. My only wish is that our weather could have provided more days to enjoy the features of the SLK's convertible!I had seriously worked with all of the area's MB dealerships in attempting to get the best deal. MB-Arlington was the most persistent-without being a nuisance-that ultimately led me to buy the 2013 SLK. When my 2013's lease expired, I similarly contacted the local dealers for the best deal. In this case. Larry Haney was the most responsive and it quickly led to the lease of another SLK-this time a 2016.

Since purchasing my vehicle on 2003 at ASC, Mr. Burk was assigned to me as my service advisor and has continued to demonstrate professional, personable and accommodating service to me over the 12 years. Even when there were bumps along the way, things ended smoothly and I was satisfied. I must recognize the car cleaning/detail staff. I am always impressed with their service to my vintage vehicle. I was concerned when I retrieved my auto that there was a message on the dashboard screen that I could not remove in order to see the digital speed. I called back to the service and was told to bring the auto back. I asked to talk to the service manager because of a similar occurrence a few months back The service manager was very helpful (as he had been in the previous incident) and gave me specific advice how to remove the message instead of coming back into the dealership. I offered a customer's perspective on the incident, and he seemed very accommodating to improvements in ensuring that the auto controls be returned to the customer almost exactly as they left it...esp. dashboard screen/controls and exterior light settings.

Initially, my wife and I went to new car sales to see what convertibles they had for sale and none of the new car sales personnel acknowledged us as we were walking around so we decided to leave and saw a convertible on the pre-owned lot. This was supposed to be a simple deal we saw a convertible car we loved and decided to purchase it from this dealer. The dealer agreed to purchase our SUV, and so we left our SUV with the dealer while we overnight test drove the convertible. We took the convertible back because we discovered a leak. We were given a loaner when they promised to fix the leak. Two days later we went back and not only had they not fixed the leak yet, they claimed to have sold our truck. Then they said they paid off the truck and could not give us a check for the sale of the truck because the finance office was closed. So now we don't have the truck, we don't have the money for the truck, we don't have the new car and now manager can't speak with us without getting angry because we called the SUV lender and was told that the manager had lied and the SUV loan balance had not been paid off. He was trying to get us to turn the whole thing into an argument so that he could call the police and have us put off the lot. As customers, he initially did not grant us the respect and decency to discuss the situation in his office he wanted to discuss in the parking lot. It was until my wife complained how cold it was and refused to continue the discussion inside did he relent for the discussion to be continued in his office

Mr. Cross from the Service Department was very knowlledgeable about the service involved; he was courteous and friendly and gave me the exact time for the completion of the service. My car was washed and cleaned from the inside and took the service department exactlly one hour and a half to do the work. Accordingly I was able to maintain my work schedule thanks to the ponctuality of the dealership and the service performed.

Would have been a five star rating except for the charges (for labor and parts). Garry Burk went out of his way to provide unexpected service -- he volunteered to fix my ignition key (battery had to be replaced) as I was walking out the door -- he did so personally without charge. Nevertheless, the charge for parts and labor for fixing my sideview mirror seemed excessive. Not the fault of the service department, however.

Great service with buying......all numbers disclosed prior to purchase, and no surprises at delivery. Their Assistant Manager, Mike Fisher, reached out to me to make sure my purchase was satisfactory, and it was.This is where it gets great.....A year later, I moved to TX and someone keyed my S400. My car is Magnetite Black....a color hard to match. I reached out to Mike Fisher and he immediately send me the exact paint and clearcoat to touch up. Check this out........I am not in VA any longer, chances are, I wont drive 1500 miles to Arlington to buy another car from them, but he had the good conscience to feel my pain and send me the right paint! He didn't have to do it, but he did.I highly recommend Mike and his team. If you ever consider buying an MB, please stop by and ask for him. He will make it happen for you.I really hope MB reads my review and recognizes Mike for his exemplary service and commitment. I hope Mercedes-Benz of Arlington gives him the appreciation he deserves. Needed service on non operating rear turn signal. The bulb housing had "melted" (how is that possible?). Had to be replaced at a cost of $500. Sure hope it doesn't happen on the other rear turn signal! Also had the rear brake pads replaced. All work was done satisfactorily.

Great experience, friendly service, quality work. There is nothing I hate more than walking into a service department with a problem and the representative who I initially talk to sighs, shrugs up his shoulders, while pulling up the wait band of his pants. When I walk into my M-B service department with my various "It happens" issues, the representative in nodding his head, has a smile on, and sets the tone of "no problem". That is why I go to M-B service, they take my problems away, and do it quickly.Thanks for making owning a car fun, not a hassle.

Over the past 5 years I have the pleasure of living around the country, I have gone to numerous dealerships and this one ranks literally the worst dealership I have ever encountered. This coming from someone who does not have high standards and will give people the benefit of the doubt. I scheduled service for my Mercedes a week in advance. Went in and the service manager was rude. Ok no problem has had a bad day. Told me describe the problem which i did, Car shakes at higher speeds, Rattles under break. BTW this a car that is barely two years old and has 16000 miles on. Get a call after 2 hours telling me that it will cost me a sweet $1700 to fix all? Say what? I asked for what- The advisor very nonchalantly told me that the brake rotors cost $960- I asked if this was normal? He said no and you're rotors are fine but think ( not sure) thats why car shakes and we can change it. Ok so i am spending $1000 on a break rotor for a barely used car and even then it might not go away? Yes sir. At the end he told me they couldn't do anything and thats that. All of this for a very expensive 2 yr old car that is still under warranty. apparently they close at 2 pm on Saturdays ( their website says 6 pm) - I got text at 2:15 pm saying my car was ready. What ? So when i called there was no one at the service center- Now I have to wait till monday - Gets better- The incredibly rude receptionist told me that you will also have to pay for the loaner now if you dont return it in 24 hours- but how can i return it in 24 hours if my car is still with you guys and you are closed tomorrow? Well sir this is why we dont give loaners on a saturday- My response was- well but you did- She said no we didnt- Incredible! Then how did i get this Car??? Realizing that she had no clue about she was talking about- She became even more aggressive. I am in the consumer business and 99.9% of the time i'll let things slide well because i have been on the other side of the fence too. Its my life's rule to be very nice to people, give them a smile- A smile and being polite can really make someones day. With the fact that I was extra nice to them and I have one of their high end cars and this is how i was treated- Remember i still get 2 yr old car back and they have not fixed it- I cant imagine how they treat people who buy normal mercedes from these people. Stay away from this dealership- Dont buy - They are not even worth 2 cents and if you have been unfortunate enough to have been scammed by these people. Do yourself a favor and dont bring your car in for service here. I would also implore everyone to read their reviews on other places too. Had i done that- i would not have ended up here.STAY AWAY under all circumstances.

I purchased my Mercedes at a dealership (located in Owings Mills, MD which I will not specifically name as I have nothing good to say about them). They failed to enter into the system the information pertaining to my warranty. Therefore, when my tire blew out, even though I had purchased the tire and rim replacement warranty, there was no record of my purchase in the system. As a result, I had to physically produce my invoice and warranty information in order for Mercedes Benz Arlington to process my claim. But - my service advisor, Kit Cross, handled it. Yay! He was pleasant, professional and he ensured that my service issue was resolved. My only regret is not having purchased my vehicle at Mercedes Benz Arlington in the first place.

It is frustrating to have a system malfunction on an S550 (the pumps for the air shocks on the suspension), which required me to have my car towed from the office parking garage, but I was very impressed with the way Dan Moreau took care of the situation and got the failed system replaced. Buying/leasing a car can be a headache, subject to all the tricks and gamesmanship people dislike. My experience, however, was smooth, professional and enjoyable. I had worked with Frank Namin before and had no hesitation reaching out via email. I explained what I was thinking about, he knew what I liked and when I stopped by at lunchtime, he had pulled a car from inventory for me to see and take a short test drive. I me with John, the Finance Manager, to discuss pricing, said I would think about it, and told Frank I was interested, but asked him to have a look at the numbers. The next day, one more round of emails and we had a deal. The following day, I filled out some forms, paid the money down and drove out of the showroom with the car I wanted at a price I was prepared to pay. The entire experience was smooth, courteous and professional, with a total time away from my office of less than four hours. Frank, John, and everyone behind the scenes made it easy and pleasant.

Rating Review Reason:I came in to replace the Crankshaft Postion Sensor. The customer service and repair was overall very good. Max is friendly and the repair is pretty straightforward. Why it wasn't higher was that I worked with Porsche dealerships for a while. They often would do basic checks and evaluations for free. I was told that they charge for everything. Besides the above, my issue is the cost which I know dealership is usually more expensive. When I came in, I asked about the hours required for the Crankshaft Position Sensor replacement. Max told me right off the bat it would be 3.5 hrs of service which I questioned. He told me that it required a lot of additional checks and verifications. I used to be an Insurance Adjuster and checked with a buddy to validate the time. He told me it was .6 hours for the entire work. This was validated when I checked various websites. This is about 6x mroe expensive than normal. I can reasonably expect 2x (1.2 hours). Edward

Brian Cahill is very friendly and professional, an asset to your company. I was not able to pick up my car when the body shop was open, so was not able to go over the work with Brian, so here's my feedback: They did a nice job on the paint work. My only complaints are that there is still a hunk of metal on the inside of the door lip (you can just see it when the door is closed) where the door was repaired; one edge of the front quarter panel shows clearly where the car was painted (it should have been sanded smooth, it's very rough), and you can tell on the roof where the paint ends. I don't mind paying a higher price for the work, but I did expect it to be perfect for the price. I will use the body shop again, as the work is *much* better than other body shops I've used.

The service provided was precisely what I requested - no more and no less, which is what I like. The wash and vacuum is a nice touch which I appreciate very much. I don't like the attempts to sell me service agreements at the beginning of the appointment. You should find a better way of communicating those offers.Your feedback survey is bogus. If I need an account at ASC to provide feedback, you will only get feedback from your regular customers. You exclude occasional customers because they won't register for an account just so they can provide feedback. If you want honest feedback, you should receive it from all customers, whether they have accounts or not.Also, when the survey form requires additional information, certain elements are reset (like the vehicle brand serviced) and need to be selected again. Very poor survey design.

I cannot say enough great things about Larry Haney, I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure, yes I said pleasure, dealing with him when purchasing my 2014 E550 Cabriolet! Mr. Haney took every opportunity to go above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. The car had to be located and he kept in constant contact with me every step of the way! Mr. Haney did many things that made him stand out in the crowd. I have bought many cars in my many years of driving and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. He was kind and accommodating during the entire process AND beyond. He has kept in contact to see how the I like the car! Fast forward to this past week, my car, which had 3900 miles on it began smoking and failed to start. Fortunately I was in a safe location. I called roadside assistance and they arranged for a towing company to come and get the car. The closest dealership was NOT Arlington, so they had made arrangements to take it to a closer dealership, since they were all closed. Between the dealership and the towing company I was able to have it towed to Arlington, where Mr. Haney had made arrangements with the General Manager to let me leave the lot with a certified used car since Enterprise had closed. Needless to say, Mr. Haney made sure that I was taken care of, one of the gentlemen on the overnight shift, Lamont, took excellent care of me too, he had the car keys ready and papers needed for me to sign and get on my way quickly. The service advisor, Kit Cross, also kept in contact with me about the status of the car. They did not stock the starter that was needed to be replaced so they needed to keep the car over the weekend. Mr. Haney and Mr. Cross were able to make arrangements for me to keep the used car until it was fixed due to the inconvenience of time and distance!I have not had an encounter with anyone at the dealership that was anything but accommodating and I would highly recommend Mr. Haney, Mr. Cross and Lamont (sorry I did not get his last name!!) to take good care of you and your family.We will definitely consider buying another car from this dealership and salesman! This was one of my more pleasant car leasing experiences. My wife and I researched the inventory of this dealership online and decided to travel to Arlington to view a car, which matched our requirements. We met Mr. Haney, who offered to retrieve the vehicle for a test drive per our request. He was extremely cordial and both my wife and I appreciated his "no pressure" approach in dealing with us. The test drive went well with Mr. Haney explaining the features of the car and responding to any r specific questions we had. Returning to the dealership after the test drive, my wife and I agreed to lease the vehicle. We were introduced to Mr. Papadopoulos, the Financial Manager. Both he and Mr. Haney worked with us on a great leasing deal. We started initial paperwork and returned the next day to sign all paperwork and complete the delivery. The car was ready upon our arrival and it took very little time for both gentlemen to conclude their business with us, before we were able to drive off in our new 2014 C350 4-Matic Coupe. The entire experience was just great, thanks to Mr. Haney and Mr. Papadopoulos.

I previously had felt that the Mercedes repairs were expense, overly conservative in their recommendations, and I was being up sold.I understand how there is a significant and lucrative clientele who value and can afford high touch turn-key service. For myself, I appreciate the German engineering and have more of a tolerance to more selectively have repairs applied. Technical service at ASC is excellent, bar none. They have Enterprise rental car right in the service bay, which they use for loaner cars, and that is very convenient. Customer service is very good, and they've started using a new automated online portal for service status, but it is not always up to date. Cars are not always ready when they say they will be and the checkout counter sometimes has difficulty finding the paperwork and car keys. Staff at parts counter is excellent. The real negative, and it is a big negative, is that their service prices are ridiculously high, and their service technicians work on commission. One example: replacing an oxygen sensor that costs $105 online was priced at $620, and their labor estimate was 2.5 hours for something that took me only 40 minutes. I think their desired customer is someone who doesn't know much about what service should cost, or is so rich they don't care.

The actual service work on the auto was really great except for the difficulty in contacting my service specialist, Dan. I wanted to talk to Dan before bringing the car for service. I tried for two days without any success and then brought the car directly into the shop without any appointment. The front desk needs to be a little more friendly and proactive in working with the customers--I don't like talking to answering machines.

My review is like a tale of 2 cities. First the good-JT was excellent. He was professional and knowledgeable and made my experience the day I returned a pleasure. The dealership also finally made right by me but only after I wrote a review here. Now the bad-Frank Azimi. He was the initial salesman who after making a deal with took $3000 off what he offered me on my trade clawing that the lower figure was what he offered me. I left to leave the dealership and after his assistant told him I was right he only offered to add $2000 of the $3000 back. When I got in my car to leave he yanked open my car door. I wrote a letter to the dealership but no one in management responded to me and Frank sent an apology full of lies. Only after I wrote a review here did a person from management contact me. He wanted to make me happy and offered me an extra $1000 off the original deal and a$100 gift card for my daughter who went with me and felt insulted by Frank. So I am satisfied with the overall deal and highly recommend JT and will use him if I am in the market for a per owned Mercedes as my next car. I on the other hand would not buy a stick of gum from Frank. In the bend ASC did well by me and would use again.

I was stranded in DC with my car having to be towed, your dealership/service department opened the doors for me after hours, had a loaner car all set up when I walked on the door (even though it was well after closing time), helped me unload my suitcase from my car to rental. That all sounds simple, but they were so kind and helpful. The service team went out of their way to help, Dave called me first thing in the morning to discuss what my issue was, stayed in contact with me during the day and personally met me when I picked my car up. Your service team and sales people went as far as helping me pair my phone to the loaner car's Bluetooth. I cannot say enough about your people and your team, everybody was professional, treated me with respect and went out of their way to be helpful. I don't live in DC, but I have already told this story to two of my relatives who do. This was one of the better experiences I have had with this dealership, likely because of the service representative with whom I worked (I have worked with others who were gruff). The car went in for a maintenance service but, as usual, the service technician found other things needing or about to need fixing. When the service representative called to inform me of work, he was honest in telling me what really needed to be done now and what could be deferred (the mechanic is looking to get a car into near perfect condition - this car has 97,000+ miles so not all work is essential as there is normal wear and tear). The price was reasonable because of the coupons that had been sent to me from the dealership otherwise I would have considered not using the dealership. All in all I was very pleased with the service and cost - and knowing that a Mercedes technician worked on the car.

I called and made an appointment but when I arrived they did not have an appointment for me. I know I called the right place because they gave me directions to your location. They weren't too happy about trying to accomodate me, but they did. I'm not sure why because they shuttled me back to my office and I asked the driver if they were busy today and he said "no, not at all." Once they dropped me off, it took them a long time to call me back with their diagnosis. I had sent an email to my Service Advisor and never got a call back. Since I am a short walk to the dealer, I stopped by after I ate lunch around 1:45pm. I was angry and ready to tell them to give me my car back so I could go elsewhere. My advisor (Dan) was somehwat surprised to see me and said that he didn't know what was going on with my car since he had just got back from lunch as well. I guess they get really long lunches or he had a late lunch and failed to talk to the mechanic before he left for lunch. At that point, I asked him if he received my email and he said yes. He said he did not pass the information along to the mechanic because he would tell him to "F" off. Those are the works he used for verbatim. Even know I am easy going, I thought it was very unprofessional for an upscale delaership. The mechanic did a really goof job of diagnosing and fixing my issue but my overall experience was poor.

Garry Burk provide excellent customer service. Explaining all issues and cost. Had an appt. for 9:30 and my car was taking in on time. My only concern was I didn't have an alternator issue before I went, but had one when I left, car shut down before I got home and I had to have it towed.

In brief, this dealership seems to just seems to be far superior to the others in the area. I shopped 2 other dealerships in Northern Virginia and one in Maryland. I live in Vienna and work in the Chantilly area, but choose to make the extra trip to Arlington where I felt confident I would receive superior time and attention for my car. My servicde advisor got me in and out. My sales person from when I bought the car came by to ask how I was liking my car and seemed to actually remember who I was and cared about my commnents. I am certainly a satisfied customer and will continue to use Mercedes Benz of Arlington and have recommended it to friends. David Banner

Most pleasant experience I have ever had buying a car. It was a good experience overall, however, I had to spend the entire day at the dealership due to that a malfunction was encountered on the left tun signal on the left mirror. The service lane is indoors, which is very nice considering it was 25 degrees outside when I dropped of my SL550 to have a blown out tire replaced. I was on a tight schedule during my lunch hour, so Max had me in and out in about 10 minutes with a loaner car from Enterprise next door. My experience with Enterprise was surprisingly good too. Max called me later that day to report that I had damage to 3 tires, one which was less than 6 months old that I had purchased at another dealer. I faxed the receipt from the other dealer and also gave him the contract number of the wheel and tire protection I had purchased with the car and next thing I know he replaced all three tires under warranty. The only thing I had to pay for was to have the front end realigned (pothole caused all my problems.) My only very minor complaint was that when I went to the cashier to pay, both ladies had their backs to me, one working on something, the other surfing the net. But in the end the valet brought me a freshly washed vehicle, and the spare and tools had all been put back where they belonged. A very good first experience with this dealer.

Gary was very patient with the warranty company and worked closely with them to get them to use the MB parts for the repairs. There were some issues about diagnostics cost which Alfred personally reviewed. All in all, a great experience.We also just purchased a 2012 GL 450 from your pre-owned unit (first owner titling). In excellent condition and Alex helped us through the process. Betty (Finance Manager) in the pre-owned unit was also very good to us. This is our fourth MB from ASC (E320, S430, S550 and GL450) since 2002 and we are very happy with the customer service. We have the S550 and GL450 now.

American Service Center (ASC), Arlington, VA has the worse service department I've ever encountered! In particular, their "service advisor" Max KIA is not only clueless about products, but to make things worse arrogant and dishonest. My experinece is based on two horrible enounters -- there will be no potential for "third time is a charm!" 1 - a few years ago, I entrusted my CLK to ASC's Max KIA to not only have service done, but also provide me a quote for repairing a scratch. He called me when I was scheduled to pick it up and told me that the car had been an accident, but no worries, he would ensure it was repaired quicky and completely and I could keep the loaner while the body work was being done. I agreed and told him I would expect that while repairing the damage they caused to my vehicle they would paint the scratch on the door at their expense. He told me no worries, he would take care of me. When I arrived to pickup the CLK, I was presented with a bill that showed a 10% discount on the repair of the scratch I initially sought their help to fix. Max was no where to be found, nor was a manager. So, I paid for the car drove it home. I tried to contact Max and ASC management about the situation after the fact and got no where. So, I chalked their service department up to a bunch of crooks and took my business elsewhere. Ironically, when my husband recently traded that car for a new car, ASC tried to discount the value of the car based on the "shoddy repair work". Fortunately, the deal had been cut and the salesperson, a true professional, honored the original offer for the CLK. (My husband, of course, explained the fiasco with ASC service.).2 - Today, the keyless entry on my new ML 350 failed, and since I was in the area and had recently purchased the ML 350 from ASC, I drove into the service bay and asked for help. After being shuffled around, I was finally directed to Max KIA. Max KIA reinforced his character as clueless, arrogant, and dishonest! He acted bothered to have to help a customer and then accused me of not knowing how to use the keyless entry. As he walked around the car, he showed me how the touchless sensors work. (I've been driving the car with no issue for a month, so I know how it works... but today it failed and could not be opened by me nor the MBRACE app, nor the MBRACE on-call people. He suggested I use the key to enter the car in the future. The only saving grace was KIA didn't crash my car nor try to charge me this time. All I got was his attitude!So, MB ASC, think about it ... maybe you need to get your service department up to MB standards -- and get rid of KIA!

I was also very impressed with the Marcus, the Sales Manager. We were able to agree on a price quickly, with non of the back and forth non-sense. The Finance Director, Debbie, was able to complete the paperwork in 10 mins and I was on my way home. Everyone I dealt with was easy to work with.

I worked with this dealership over the phone for several weeks looking for a specific year/model used Mercedes. They received one in stock and contacted me to come in and take a look. I had to wait several days because the car was "getting its Certified Pre-Owened inspection and detailing". I was told it was pristine and I wouldn't be disappointed. They pressured me to place a $1000 deposit over the phone to be sure it wouldn't be sold before I arrived (I refused).I went to see the car and took it for a test drive. The car's dash was dusty and certainly not recently detailed, but no big deal. Upon further inspection the inner third of the left front wheel was worn to the belts (eventhough the car had a brand new VA inpsection sticker on the window) and the front air dam was cracked and damaged. But what really made me run away was when I opened the hood of this car -- that I had to wait days to see while it was being meticulously mechanically checked -- only to find a rodent's nest of shredded paper and leaves sitting right on top of engine manifold!When I pointed all of this out to the salesman, his reply was "Well, it is a used car" -- that's not the answer I expected when looking at a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes.

I have been taking my current used Mercedes to ASC since I first acquired it from a large multi-brand dealer chain. I wanted to try an actual MB dealer for service, and compare it to my prior--mostly bad--dealer service experiences with other brands. I've used ASC ever since that first repair, due to what has been superior customer service and excellent quality of repair.From the time you pull into the garage-like, yet open service drop-off area, to the quick approach of an ASC associate to help you, all the way to the clean, repaired car you pick up, and the email/phone follow-ups, the service experience at ASC has been a world of difference from other dealer service I've had.While that customer experience is all well and good, the quality of repair at ASC has been excellent. I don't recall *ever* having to take my car back because something wasn't done properly, or *ever* having to argue with anyone about things done that shouldn't have been done, or things not done that ought to've been done. And while that certainly should be the norm, my prior experience with dealer service--as well as most independent repair shops--marks this as particularly noteworthy. I was lucky enough to have Dan Moreau as my first service advisor/assistant service manager, and I continue to call on Dan whenever I have service questions or issues to resolve. Dan has listened carefully to my questions and requests, and has answered honestly and thoroughly. Dan has also helped secure MB-USA coverage for items that might not--technically--be covered, but which an owner shouldn't really expect to pay for. (Overall, and happily so, this Mercedes has been far more reliable and even economical to maintain than either of two prior cars, a Honda and a VW.)As with an earlier reviewer, I live in DC, and find ASC convenient to Metro. Should you not wish to walk the three blocks to/from the Ballston station (Orange line), ASC offers shuttle service.I will certainly lean toward Mercedes for my next car, and will definitely continue to have them serviced at ASC.

I requested diagnostics because the Check Engine light was on and agreed to pay $ 120 for the diagnostic.The diagnostic was not completed and instead the service center put a Virginia inspection rejection sticker on the car (which is registered in Massachusetts and has a valid inspection sticker).When I questioned why I should pay for uncompleted work I was told "that's your problem"I registered a compliant on this companies web-site. I received one voice mail - which I returned but only reached their voice mail. The service center never bothered to follow up after this, even though I clearly stated I was unsatisfied with the work. Here are the reasons why this service center gets a bad rating:Customer service - very bad Poor response to customers questions Apparent lack of interest in resolving the issue.Quality of work - very bad The work was simply not done, even though it was paid for. Probable breach of contractFriendliness - very bad Apparently predatory behaviorOverall Experience - very bad Customer paid, but no actual service providedPrice Paid - very bad Nothing was achieved for the amount paid.

I live in DC. I use ASC because of the convenient location in Arlington, VA. I also like that a metro station is only a few blocks away from the dealership making it very convenient to drop-off and pick-up my Mercedes. ASC does offer pick-up and drop-off service as well as loaner vehicles if needed. I recently took my Benz in to have a window regulator replaced, which if you have owned more that 1 Mercedes you know this is a common problem. ASC was running a full vehicle interior and exterior beautification treatment special that I added on. I was astonished. It looked like a brand new car! They cleaned the interior and got out grime and dirt I thought would be there forever. I deal with Dave Smith as my Service Tech Advisor everytime I take my car in for service. He is the best. He knows my car better than I do and I consider myself a Benzo. The quality of work and atttention to detail ASC gives you and your vehicle from start to finish would make Mercedes' German engineers in Stuttgart proud if not a little jealous. ASC prices a very competetive even with independent non-certified vehicle repair shops but it is the customer service that ASC gives you which makes the choice clearly in their favor. When it comes time to buy my next Mercedes I will give ASC the opportunity and see if their sales department can hold a candle to their serivice department.

Very accommodating with test drive ESP with cars that had options I was interested in but not sure if I wanted. Greg made sure I was able to drive two different cars which combined had all options I was interested in. I ended up getting all the options I experienced and really like them. Jack Rolo spent a good hour discussing my options when my previous 15 year old Mercedes was needing to bre replaced. His insight and knowledge was invaluable in my decsion. He also enabled my old car to keep running till the new one I ordered arrived.Dave Smith has been my service advisor for the past 10 years and has always been there for me. Dave Smith has been our customer service manager for 12 years. When he moved to the Pitt St. location, we moved there as well to be with him. When he returned to Glebe St we returned there with him. He is the BEST. He Always takes care of both my husband and myself in an efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and prompt way. We consulted him when my husband bought his 2006 Mercedes and when he just recently bought a 2011 Mercedes wagon. Dave is the person who handles the care, service, and maintenance of my automobile. Dave is knowledgable, patient, courteous, helpful, efficient, honest, and personable. Dave has always given me solid advice about the care of my car; he distinguishes services that are necessary from those that can be deferred; and he is candid about costs. He is always willing to take time for an explanation, and he very understanding about the high price of service. I would be content to have Dave as my service person for the rest of my driving days. I intend to purchase my next car from American Service Center, in large part because of my positive experience with Dave. I heartily recommend American Service Center generally and Dave in particular.

He explains very well and makes arrangement to fix the problem. For minor things, I can just drop by and he takes care. I have been having the regular service for my MB at the service department of this center for the last 7 years, I had always a very positive impression.

Have worked directly with Dave for ten years taking care of our 2001 E320. We always come on time for each service, and he has always given us a complete background and what our choices are each time. He tells us when he is not sure and when he is. He tells us what can wait and what can't. That way we know what is coming down the line. Great advice, thoughtful and concerned. We have been able to keep and maintain this car because of his outstanding attention to us and the car. His track record has been remarkable. The car now has 170,000 miles and it continues to perform well for us.

I had worked with Calvin Hicks in the past, so I knew he would be reliable a second time. He had actually stayed in touch over the years checking on my satisfaction with the car I leased, an ML 30 Blue Tec. Unfortunately, I underestimated the mileage I would need and I went over my mileage. True to his word, he was able to work out a deal to make it more beneficial for me to get into a new car lease, instead of the fees to increase the mileage on my old car. Even after the deal was done, I made a last minute change and decided on a larger SUV, the GL. He was patient and kind and accommodated my request. The office staff was also kind and offered their personal office space for me to change and feed my newborn child who came with me. Overall, a great experience. Best of all, I know I am getting a quality car!

The American Service Center dealership was very convenient to work with - especially because of their proximity to my home. My sales representatitive - Mr. Calvin Hicks, Jr. - is exactly the type of salesman everyone hopes they'll have the pleasure of dealing with during new car selection and negotiations. He is unerringly honest, tireless in his efforts to please his customers, and very accurate in his assessment of when a new car order from the German factory will actually arrive at his dealership. My GLK 350 is being stubborn in its refusal to retain the bluetooth settings from my year-old Verizon cell phone, but Calvin has repeatedly re-connected the phone with a positive attitude and complete willingness to remain at the dealership after his scheduled work hours have ended. His kindness has convinced me to buy a new cell phone - which will be helpful even if the GLK still will not retain its bluetooth settings.By far the most important source of my satisfaction with American Service Center is the professionalism of Calvin Hicks. Of special interest to me is Calvin's unflagging admiration for Mercedes Benz products - even while we struggle to make my new one work as advertised. I went in to test drive the C63 AMG and ended up buying the E550 Coupe thanks to his patience with me test driving cars on the lot. The rest of the sales team was similarly helpful. I have bought several cars from this dealer and the reason is the service. There is never a problem getting a quick appointment for routine service. When something breaks, I bring the car in and they fix it without an appointment. A loaner is always available, either from them or a rental company(at no charge).The work is done quickly and correctly and the car returned clean. The prices are fair.The entire staff is easy to deal with and will do what is necessary to please the customer.

MB dealership in Arlington is absolutely dishonest, disgraceful and incompetent. I brought my E320 in to get the catalytic converter replaced. In 2007, I brought it in to replace the other one so I was familar with the problem. I made the appointment 3 weeks in advance for 9 am. When I dropped it off, my service advisor stated that they would not be able to look at it until 1pm! I told him that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced and it was still under warranty so I would need a rental car. He told me that since I did not purchase my car at the dealership and he did not know it truly was the catalytic converter then he refused. He was rude and disrespectful! Needless to say, I got a rental car and left. Hours later, my service advisor calls and tells me it is the muffler NOT the catalytic converter. I was shocked! I decided that since I was treated so poorly that I would pick it up and told them not to fix it. He was FURIOUS! I picked it up without it being washed and greasy paper seat covers left in my car! I took it to another mechanic to get the MUFFLER fixed. He called me back and told me that NOTHING was wrong with the muffler it was the CATALYTIC CONVERTER that needed to be replaced!!!! I decided to call the GM to voice my grave concerns/treatment. He called me back after hearing my story and gathering info. He told me that "For some reason, we can't find the test for the catalytic converter"!! Can you believe it?? He started raising his voice at me when I got angry and said "What do YOU want ME to do?" There should be laws to protect customers for wrongful behavior. He took me as a fool. STAY AWAY!

Never in a million years will i recommend this piece of trash of a service dept.These people should be ashamed of themselves for calling themselves professionals. My car's suspension was never fixed properly and each time, they answer, well drive it for a week and let us know. Can you believe that is the actual answer i received. After dealing with these jokers, i will never come back here and you can bet I will tell most of my friends and colleagues who drive benzes never to get their cars serviced here.

Very Poor Customer Service, Quote Low repairs but when you pick your car up the quote is out the window and they also left off the online coupons I brought in. It took a bad rating I gave ASC for the General Manager to call me directly to correct every issue I had with the entire experience. Generally overpriced and timeliness of repair is poor.

In September I went into American Service Center to have my car service for recall items and sounds on the wheels. After being there decided to purchase a new car(2009). I wanted 2009 E class, with a pamorama sunroof, and fold in sideview mirrors,white if possible. The sales person I was talking with said I should keep my car. I left my car for service and when I came from work it wasn't ready. I had to rent a car. The next day was the same thing when I came from work. This time they give a me a MB to use. I spoke to Edward concerning purchasing a new car, he said that they didn't have any in white, with panorama sunroof, and they stop making the fold in side view mirrors on the E class. He side I don't sit in the back.I told him I didn't like the car that I had. He never showed me any cars. The day before I was to pickup my car the manageer call and said that they had a car I might be interested in. It was a 2008 demo that she was using. (no PR,) Edward showed me the car with the managers clothes still in it. I test drove the car and liked it. He said they would give me $30,000.00 for my car. But when I went in to the director of finance(John S. Monro) they would only give me $28,000.00. At no time did Edward come into the office with me. I purchase the car, and then had to go back twice, once for the car mates and the next time for the Blue tooth to be install. At times I felt that I was brothing him. The Saturday that I went back to get the blue tooth install, there was a stain on the side by the door.When I mention it to him, he side the car had been clean, but not detail. I guest not, a few weeks later I open the console in the back, and to my surprise there was ceral and a doll in the back. As of yet I haven't heard from them, not even a service call to see how I like the car. I was anger, that I never wanted to go back there ever again. I trun the car in a purchase the car I wanted. It was wroth the money to beable not to have to go back there again. I can see why there are not cerify dealers for MB. They shouldn't even be able to sell them. Service like that will give the company and other dealers a poor neme.I wonder If they would have treated a man that way?B.L. Hargrove

I take my car in for service at 10:30am on 2/5/2009. At the time I am typing this, guess what, I still don't have my car. Why you ask?Because MB of alrington has lost the key to my car. Here is the story. I pay for the service done to my car at 6:55pm. I give the guy the ticket to my car. After waiting for 26 min, he returns without my car. He says that he was not able to locate the car.After wait for another 10 min, I asked the cashier if he can have one of the other guys help this guy locate my car. She looks at me as if I am being rude. I asked again. There was 6 people in the show room at this time. I guess it was to much to ask that another person help find my car. After an hour of waiting for my car, he returns. This time he tells me, Mr. Harrelson we located your car, its was not in the parking spot provided on your ticket, it was on the third level, but now we can't find the key?WTF? How does one misplace your key to your car. Ok, I am one whom understands that things happen, but this type of service at benz dealership was shocking. As much money as they charge you at the stealer-ship, the car should have been washed an delivered to me. As I type this, I am still waiting for the key to my car to be found.

ASC (along with MB of Alex.) is owned by an extremely wealthy, extremely greedy family. They didn't get that way by softball negotiating or by being kind and sweet to customers. This place will take your money but once they do, you're on your own. And with cars as unreliable as late-model Mercedes, you really need someone on your side. Better look elsewhere. I recommend Lexus.

This dealership sold me a "Certified" used MB that I found out 21 months later had been damaged and repaired. It cost me $1000.00 in trade in value, not to mention the extra they charge for "Certified". They also do not tell you that Mercedes WILL NOT refund unused extended warrantees. Mercedes and ASC both tried to say I had damaged the car( I didn't) and REFUSED any assistance. I also took this car in for service 3 times for transmission issues, and they didn't fix it. Alexandria MB finally fixed it. I am disabled and the bottom line is that this dealership, as well as Mercedes screwed me. DO NOT buy a Mercedes, and if you do, DO NOT buy from this dealership. They are absolutely AWFUL!!!!!! And a Mercedes is nothing but trouble.

First off, I should never have bought a Benz. I have owned many european makes/models and my CL500 was the most unreliable, troublesome, most expensive mistake of my life. When I took my car to the dealership ( i bought it there), they never diagnosed the issues correctly with ABC suspension, electrical, or transmission related problems.I always got the run-around from service and found myself depressed for the horrible service I received. to think the service rep is supposed to be knowledgable/helpful, but I found this to be the opposite. I finally had it and took it up w/ their Service Manager but to no avail. I called MBUSA Customer Service, and they send me a free keychain. Thanks..but no thanks. I recently sold my benz.. I am a much calmer, happier person.Avoid MB-Arlington..please for your health and well being!

I agree with you all. I was in an accident and they "Fixed" the body but the car was still running like CRAP! I TOLD them from the begining that the car was shaking (after the accident) and they did not fix it. They had the insurance company pay for the alignment but thit didn't solve the problem. It seems like we go there and come out with another problem. Besides, the guy is a total JOKE because he doesn't listen. THE CAR DIDN"T SHAKE BEFORE THE ACCIDENT and it DOES after the accident SO FIX IT! Just because there was no damage to the engine doesn't mean that the ACCIDENT didn't cause it! SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to MB of ALEXANDRIA! They know their stuff!

Every time we took our car into American Service Center, we received terrible service. They are terrible at diagnosing problems, their prices are way too high and their service people are rude and incompetent. Parts have not been installed correctly and screws have been left out during reassembly. The service manager is really just an order taking salesperson and couldnt care less if your car is working correctly when it comes back. If they didnt do a good job the first time, they will be happy to charge you to try and fix their mistake again. Watch out for double billing! Vote with your dollars go someplace else. ASC is making so much money that they just dont care.

Bought a CPO car from MB of Arlington. Car was terrible. Constant problems and could not be fixed. Their pre certification program does not do a good job for certifying cars to be sold.I had a very bad experience. I would not recommend benz to anyone looking for a reliable car. Do NOT take your car here for service!!!Do not buy a used mercedes from them!!!! These people are rude, haughty and they charged us $2,000 but didn't find a problem I KNEW existed and they INSISTED didn't. I then took our car to Don Pool and their mechanic found the problem immediately!! American Service center also tried to sell us a mercedes that had been in an accident and sustained MAJOR rear end damage. They didn't disclose this information until AFTER we contacted the previous owner and brought it to the attention of the American Service Center sales snake.

Took car in for noise in front, dealer stated that a part needed to be replaced that was replaced a month prior. the problem turned out to be simple issue that a local repair shop fixed for free when doing an oil change. I was charged a $100 fee to even look at the car at American Service Center.

This Service center does not get your car back to you when promise. Because my car was not available when I expected it, Mr. Treadwell told me that my service ticket will be mailed to me. It has been over two weeks, and no ticket or receipt has been mailed to me. I stood there on two occasions and Mr. Treadwell Never introduced himself to me as my service advisor. I met him by chance when i was there to pick up my car on the second trip for service, after it sat there all day for something that should've taken 1/2 day.

I am a regular customer, and have seen the rapid decline in service quality. Most recent experince required two trips to repair. But even worse, employees scratched the paint on the car. No response from dealer, no apology, nothing!ASC is good at taking your check, but not service after the sale.

Cash purchase. Sales' "tags & titling" person didn't put both my wife and me on the title as was clearly typed on the purchase order. No paperwork at all on the expensive MB Extended Warranty purchased with the vehicle. Three faxes and one phone call to the general manager received only one call-back but still no action 30 days later. If they can't get the purchase transaction correct after almost five months, why would I ever chance taking the vehicle there for service?

Much experience with this dealer re: both sales and service. Their attitude is astonishing... it's like "throw us your money and shut up" ... they won't lift a finger on the sales side, it's take it or leave it... if the salesman discovers you're not eager to pay list pric-- or over--he suddenly acts as if he doesn't know you... part of the problem with that is that there's too much money floating around the Washington area, so people come in and pay premiums ... but still a salesman should be willing to look up his inventory instead of just saying buy one of these....<br><br>On service, they took a perfectly-running car for a look-over and returned it barely running. Took it back and they fixed it halfway, then I decided to cut my losses and use another mechanic. BEWARE THIS PLACE!!!

Went in to look at a Mercedes and the salesman made me feel like I was at a used Yugo lot. The pressure was ridiculous, they treated me like I did not know anything about cars, pricing, financing and even colors! I am a race car driver, a silent partner in a car dealer, and a finance lawyer. I wanted a blue car and the salesman said he had one coming in. It was metallic black, but he was trying to convince me it was blue! It was clearly black. Then he played the stupid trick of "what would you pay?" "If we gave you this price, would you buy it now?" I hate those games and can't imagine who enjoys them. That is not the experience I would expect at a Mercedes dealer. I bought a BMW.
