Mercedes Benz of St. Louis gave me the absolute worst service experience of my life. I originally went in for an airbag recall, an acceleration problem, and a small oil leak. After “fixing” my acceleration issue and paying 2,400 dollars, my car drove worse than when I brought it to them. Now my car was shaking and not accelerating correctly, while driving. I took my car back a second time, they tried to return it while it was still having the same issues and claimed it was fixed. After driving for five minutes, I noticed it was still broken. On the third time of bringing my car back up the somehow we able to “fix” my car. When I received it from the service department, there was no paperwork stating what was fixed. It has now been a little over a week since I’ve had my car returned and it is now getting serviced at a Honda dealership to fix their mistakes. By all means, avoid this service department and dealership! There customer communication, integrity, and business is complete garbage!

I have been looking for a car to purchase for quite a long time and had difficult experiences with pushy salesman, being treated like I’m not even worth their time, or down right rude. However my experience Fromm my first call to Mercedes St Louis on Hampton was just amazing. Lesa my saleswoman went above and beyond and the finance managers were also amazing! As a previous Mercedes owner I knew what I wanted and they gave me options but I never felt pressured and they gave me even better terms than I anticipated. I will highly recommend this place! The front desk receptionist was so lovely and sweet and the process was expeditious! Other dealerships should have me waiting 8 hours (yes that happened before) to only show me vehicles that I did not even come to look at and were no where near what I wanted nor in my budget. I felt like I was treated with dignity respect and they went out of their way to not make me feel pressured. I highly recommend! If I could give more than 5. Stars I would.

Just bought a certified pre-owned MB E550 from Forrest Knight. I bought it over the internet as it was the only one in the country that was exactly what I wanted. Long story short. Bought 2007 clk550 amg 4 years ago from brother in laws estate.(original owner). About 80k miles on it and I have only put on an additional 6 k miles. 2-3 inch pile of service records from these guys when they were in Ellisville. Since I've had the car I've had one or two services at Plaza, Nothing major. Thought I'd try them now that they're on Hampton. Great service rep. Great service shop manager. But I spent just shy of $1k to have de laminating radio replaced Not exactly a wear item and well documented problem for this vehicle. I asked for some partial offset or consideration. Parts manager acted like since I wasn't a "loyal" customer I could take a flying hike. How much service could you expect in 6k mile? I do my own maintenance to the extent I can. MB customer care got involved and with dealer stated they would refund $300. Great I thought. That helps. $100/year radio to keep it stock assuming similar performance... Well. That was in November. Now getting to end of January. Nothing. Go figure right? I'd shop around based on this experience. Sorry to submit this because this business seems to want to be first rate.

My husband and I were negotiating on a used Lexus RX350 with Todd the "Internet Sales Manager"...We went to the dealership, drove the vehicle, and spent about an hour talking with Todd and receiving a quote on what they would offer us for our trade. We were told they would hold the vehicle for us through the afternoon while we went to eat lunch and look at 1 other vehicle my husband insisted on seeing first. We agreed that I would contact Todd before 5 EITHER WAY to finalize the deal. When I called in 2 hours to let Todd know we were on our way back to the dealership and wanted to buy the car, we were told that they had just sold the vehicle. Even though I had the accepted offer on my cell phone via text, the sales manager refused to honor the deal. We took the time to try and speak with Brian the sales manager, show him the phone texts that occurred while we were driving back to the dealership to sign the papers, and were told "sorry, I cannot help you".....buyer beware of this dealership, integrity is a not a priority here.

I purchased a CPO 2010 CL550 from Joshua Gould last night. I contacted the dealership through an email and almost immediately I had a response from Mr. Gould. He gave me some information on the vehicle the fact that it was a one owner, non smoker, clean carfax, and also went into how immaculate the car was. I almost did not believe him.. You always hear all the dealers tell you how they have the nicest car, and its "perfect" just to get there and the car looks terrible.. I made an appointment with Josh to see the car the next day... I showed up, Josh had the car Pulled up out front.. as I walked around the car I was ASTONISHED to see the car was everything that he described and more. Im not sure how this dealership buys the used inventory but this car looked brand new. I walked in and immediately the receptionist greeted me with a warm smile and a hello, I felt actually welcomed into the store like I was an old friend. She called Josh and he came over with a big smile and a great handshake.. Again I felt like I was speaking to an old friend. We walked out to the car and started going over everything, He answered EVERY question I had with NO HESITATION. I was impressed to say the least.. We drove the car and I was sold. We sat down to the deal, and came to an agreement that I thought was fair. Josh Started preparing the paperwork for the F&I guys...After the finance stuff was finished Josh had the car cleaned up, Filled up with fuel, and went over the ENTIRE car with me and how to use everything. He even set up my Bluetooth for my cellphone. Josh and Tri-Star have earned me as a customer for life. I was so impressed with everything. He even introduced me to the GM, and the service department so I would know who to ask for when I came in for my first service. I know they are opening the new store in about a month and I cant wait to come visit it. Mercedes-Benz of Saint Louis is I believe the new name... If you are looking to have the red carpet rolled out for you, and receive some of the best service I have ever gotten.. Trust these people. BEST CAR BUYING EXPERINCE I HAVE EVER HAD. Took my Mercedes in to have my brakes fixed bc they squeaked. A couple thousand dollars later (Had A service, rear brakes replaced and some other recommended maintenance items) and my BRAKES STILL SQUEAK. I was then told by John Cordes that a glaze" built up on the brake rotor, and the squeak is when the brake pad touches the rotor. So I just needed brake a little harder than I normally would when coming up to a stop, to help remove the glaze." Guess what? Ff course that didn't work. Just wish they would have fixed my brakes when I took the time to bring my car in. They obviously didn't take the time to test it out before calling me and telling me everything was done. Customer lost.

Everyone at Tri-Star are very nice. The sales staff answers one's questions without being pushy, but also ask appropriate questions to better answer your question. My recent visit was to get a price estimate on my Mercedes and I received somewhat what I had expected.Tri-Star's service has always been good. I have a low mileage vehicle and they are willing to work with me on the necessary services based on mileage instead of time (which the reminders on the vehicle pop up).I would use Tri-Star again if I buy another Mercedes (two so far).

I experienced my service in TX at MB or Boerne, and the 'ambience', 'amenities', and other accoutrement at that dealership were 'top of the line'. For example, a Type A service included a fairly extensive breakfast (if you stayed at the dealership), a loaner car (if you did not stay), and/or a greatly reduced massage at a spa ($20, if I remember correctly). That was not the case at Tri-Star when I went for service in November 2013. The bar had been set high in Boerne, and was very different at Tri-Star. I realize the dealership is moving, and no one in business wants to sink money into business services that will be relocated. But, the above, is just an observation. BTW, the people I dealt with were very nice and very friendly, and very helpful (which is the most important part.)

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2010 Mercedes from them even though I live out of state in California. Josh Gould, the sales representative, was extremely nice and helpful. Although I was apprehensive about purchasing such an expensive vehicle sight-unseen, Josh went out of his way to patiently address all my questions and concerns. Todd Cherry, financial services, helped me through the financing process and it was a breeze. Sure enough, the car arrived 3 days later and it was absolutely pristine!! Everything they had described it to be and more!! I would wholeheartedly recommend Tri-Star Mercedes Benz to any of my friends and family. I would most certainly buy my future cars from them as well even though I am in California and they are located in Missouri.

I went to Tri Star because a engine light was on in my Mercedes. I was unable to pass inspection with this problem, Tri Star had my car for a week, and I paid over $1100.00. I picked my car up and the engine light was out, and drove 10 minutes an the light care back on!! I canceled the check and brought this problem to Tri Star. I was told to bring the care in after payment was recieved by their department. I sent payment in, but never heard back from Tri Star. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

After dealing with several people at the dealership, from service advisors to GM's, my overall opinion was that the dealership was not up to par with what I would expect from a Mercedes-Benz Dealership. I was given the runaround on service issues several times and spoke with several different managers. Then low and behold here comes Darren. What a great individual to work with. Don't get me wrong, the service advisors have always been courteous and kind, but managers never returned calls or the ones that did never followed up or through. For a sales person it should not be just about the sale, but the overall experience a customer has. Denise was great until the contract was signed, and I havent heard too much back. Promises were made and never delivered upon. Dont get me wrong Denise is a strong salesperson. I think she is one of the best in the business, but stay true to your game and dont become that used car salesperson we all made fun of (through movies in the 80s.) For a sales person it should not be just about the sale, but the overall experience the customer has. That to me is what sets Mercedes-Benz apart from all the other car manufactures. Kind of like Where you are in the dash of your life for example youre born and you pass, but what matters is that dash in between those two dates on your tombstone. Thats what people remember the most. Once again Darren, thank you, much respect due. In the end service was taken care of and promises were kept, but it shouldnt have to take weeks of waiting and hours of phone calls. Thanks again Tri-Star.

Neil Hopson is a consummate professional. He was very helpful and patient. He explained all aspects of the car including a major deficiency.The finance person, Mr. Coleman initially made suggestions regarding financing that was not commensurate with my financial history which was somewhat disappointing. This is why quality of work has a lower rating. However, once I expressed my dissatisfaction, he went beyond expectations to satisfy me.

I have been to this dealership many times. Living over two hours away is nothing for the great service that Denise has given us. We have been in the market for a new Mercedes and wanted to up from a C Class to an E Class. She always is willing to go the extra mile and in a prior email to her thanking her, I was glad and quick to thank her for the service. In many dealers, you buy a car and they seem to think after that you are just a number and income to them, at Tri Star you are more, you become family once you pull into the lot. Denise and the entire store have been great to deal with and am very glad there is a dealer out there that still takes the time to make the sale great even AFTER the sale!

This was my best car buying experience! From the moment I walked into the dealership they were friendly and helpful. I love my new GL but I also love that Steve has followed up to see if I have any questions and I never feel like I am bothering him when I do have questions. What a great experience I had buying my car. I've bought many cars over the years and this is truly the first time I can say that. Chris Strom was knowledgeable, gracious, and friendly. She put me at ease immediately and in in room full of 150K cars.....that ain't easy to do, my friend. She made me feel, as if, I was buying one of those cars and not an 8 year old used one. She introduced me to the service tech that will be the one working on my car. She introduced me to her manager. They were both kind and gracious men. My car was as clean and shiny as any of the new ones on the showroom floor. Chris showed me every bell and whistle on my car, and in the rain. I know I'm babbling on but believe you me I have never had this kind of experience buying a car. Thank you.

I have owned Jaguars and BMWs for many years and decided it was time for a change and thought I'd give MB a try. Changing dealerships was a stressful consideration as I am very particular and the BMW dealership I dealt with over the years was always good to me. Tri Star is close to my home so I called and Denise answered the phone and helped narrow down what was available in a pre-owned MB in my price range. I visited, found a car I wanted, and we came to an agreement on my trade. I purchased a 2007 S550. The purchasing experience was pleasant, professional, and fair. The finance department (can't recall the gentlemen's name) was very helpful as well and found the best terms from a local credit union. Simple, straight to the point, and got the job done quickly. No complaints; an enjoyable experience.Now onto service...the true test of my future experience with the dealership. I was assigned to Dan in service. I like the fact that the advisor is assigned to you for the life of the car. This provides continuity between visits and the advisor gets to know the idiosyncrasies of the car, and me the owner. Dan and the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. I appreciate the attention to detail and they kept my car inside during the weeklong visit to address some issues under warranty. I was simply hoping my experience would be as good as my dealings elsewhere, but, in fact I think this will work out better. I gave 5 stars for my first impression and initial service experiences with sales and service. Car drives like it was bran-spankin!!!!

Just purchased a GL 450 through Steve at Tristar. Service is excellent, even after the purchase. Dealers all have to make their money, but Tristar is a little more straight forward on pricing compared to the others. Friendly but low pressure atmosphere. I almost paid down payment at another dealer, when I decided to give Steve a call just to get a quick quote. He and the finance guy together got me a car that equiped better, but cost less.

Great overall experience with Tri Star. I worked with Steve Emerson (sales) Jeff Martin (manager) and Dave Chapman (finance) to get the perfect pre-owned C Class and the perfect price. I was amazed at how attentive and professional everyone one was from the moment I arrived at the dealership until the moment I drove off in my new (to me) car. As a female 1st time car buyer, I was a little apprehensive about the whole process, but the staff at Tri Star put me at ease. I left feeling like I got a good deal from a great dealership. I went to this dealership one afternoon to look at a few cars on the lot. After taking one for a test drive and making an offer, I told the salesman I would like to bring my dad out to the dealership the following day to look further into buying this car (This would have been my first car purchase). His reply to me was insulting and rude, implying that bringing my dad was childish. I never returned to the dealership and instead took my business elsewhere.

WOW!!! The previous review sure blasted Tri-Star. I fortunaely had a great experience and will definately do business with them again. I recently purchased a used ML55-AMG from a private party in St Louis. I needed a few things, ie: Navigation disc, new keys, etc. The parts department spent over an hour with me. They went so far as to look up and print out a complete service record on the car (even though it had never been in their dealership), order the keys, gave me some touch-up paint for a few small nicks, and explained a lot to me about the car. When the keys came in Chris Roberts came out and programmed them and told me it was no charge even though I had agreed to pay for a half hour of service time. Overall it was a very pleasurable experience, much better than the local BMW dealer who I have purchased 4 cars from in the last 20+ years. I will definately do business with them again.

Please be careful if you do business with this company. I purchased a preowned clk 430 from them. The car had remainder of warranty and came with additional star marked certified warranty. It started having problems with the rear suspension, so I took it in. They would work on it all week and give it back on Friday saying it was fixed. Every time I would drive it and take it right back in because they did nothing. They even managed to create a problem with the front of the suspension. This went on for two months, then when I threatened with lemon law, they had the corporate guy come out and fix the rear suspension problem. The front was still broke. When asking other people for advice on how to fix the car, they said it sounds like the car had been wrecked. When I bought the car they showed me a clean car fax. I talked to the sales manager who sold me the car, and he assured me that the car was fixed and the car had never been wrecked. After him telling me he was going to help me out for a few weeks, I decided to trade the car in and get a audi or bmw. While trying to trade it, both dealers told me it had been rear ended, and showed a car fax proving it. I decided to wash my handls of this car and of this dealer and bought an Audi for the time being. Long story short..... They sold me a wrecked mercedes certified car, lied about car fax, took months to fix a problem, and still did nothing to get me into another car or fix mine. Don't use or buy from this dealer!!
