Exceptional customer service skills and gratitude go out to Javier & Harold. Thank you for your patience and due diligence in finding the Sante Fe color I wanted "Java Expresso". We worked long and hard before coming to a mutual agreement on numbers that worked for ME!!! There was no pressure working with these gentlemen. Any questions I had, they answered and believe me I had a lot. They never expressed any frustration while working with me and I appreciate that. I was in need of a car after an accident. Amirdeen was friendly from the start and answered any of my questions. When I returned to negotiate a deal, Frank told me they just sold the car. No one called me to tell me after I had done research on the car. Frank was not empathetic at all. Amirdeen showed me a new car and took me on a test drive. We found that it needed new tires. Frank could not give me information about the new to make a good decision, claiming parts dept was closed and service could not tell me the type of tire. We made arrangements to have the tires put on and have me drive the car to an independent mechanic. The tires were not done on time and I wasted time trying to pick up car. Amirdeen took the car for me and had it checked out. We completed the deal and the car was delivered as promised. Amirdeen was always friendly and answered my questions. He made sure I knew everything about the car. I would recommend him to others. I would not recommend Frank due his tone with me and inability to get my info.

I had an exceptional experience in returning my Lease-end 2013 Hyundai Elantra to Meriden Hyundai, from which I had originally leased it, ( my first automobile lease,) and determining that my best option for obtaining alternate transportation would be to lease a new 2017 Hyundai Elantra. My Sales Representative, Sterlynn Robbins, gave me excellent service, was highly professional, clearly expert in his knowledge of both the leasing process and of the automobile that I was considering, thoughtful, considerate of my budget and driving needs, and most courteous. He has continued to offer me great service, as I have needed to return to Meriden Hyundai to have some of those features, particularly the CarPlay and phone, explained to me in greater detail. I was very happy, also, with the service I received from Hyundai Motor Finance , USA's Customer Service staff, who explained the lease-end process to me clearly and who, in all of my prior dealings with them, had proven to be excellent resources. From the time I stepped into the dealership to the time Eli greeted me, it must have been maybe two seconds. In my mind, I said great here is a car salesman, who is probably not going to get me what I want but instead what he wants me to get. But I was wrong, I had visited a few dealerships before I got to Eli, and Im unsure as to why but I just felt at ease and not pressured after I started talking to him. After we talked about what I would like, and Eli showed me the 2017 Sonata it was like it was crafted from my mind and became a reality. I instantly fell in love with the car, materialistic of me I know but I grew up a foster kid and never really had my own clothes let alone a house, so when I say Eli helpped me feel like a number one draft pick, I mean it with my entirety. I am a customer for life now, thanks Eli :)

It was easy, mostly because I knew what I wanted. The negotiations were reasonable. The one thing I'm not happy about is that I was told I would get door protectors and etching, which did not happen. I have not gotten a follow-up call yet. That's why I gave them an 8.

We went to Meriden Hyundai to look at a 2015 Santa Fee sport. A sales rep ( Sterlynn Robbins ) came to greet us. He was very friendly, polite and best of all wasn't pushy at all. We took a few Santa Fee sports out for test drives and Sterlynn was very knowledgeable about the cars and explained all the options very well. We had fun and was like we knew for a long time. We went there with intent on buying a used car, and ended up buying a new 2017 Santa Fee sport. Sterlynn showed us what the payments would be on the used car versus the new car. With a little more down payment we were able to get the new car for almost the same payment amount.He answered all or phone calls and texts promptly with questions we had and was very helpful. It was because of Sterlynn's nice personality and professionalism and him not being pushy about it that we bought the new car. Great job Sterlynn.

I purchased a Genesis in 2009 from this dealer, leased a Santa Fe in 2015, leased an Elantra in 2015, and bought an Equus in 2016 - so I am very familiar with this dealership.Everyone I have dealt with has been professional, courteous, friendly and they have all gone above and beyond the call to take care of me and my family. Habib, Harold and Mike were all terrific. I believe that in all cases I got very good deals on excellent vehicles. We are a Hyundai family now, in large part because of the service from Meriden Hyundai. I had one problem with my Genesis outside of warranty: the brake master cylinder. Hyundai stepped up and covered the repair, So I have positive feelings toward the manufacturer as well.

If you are looking for a Hyundai, or find a car at their dealership of another make, I would strongly suggest going to Meriden Hyundai. It was my first time actually buying a car on my own (I leased before), and I cannot tell you enough how great the staff is. That makes ALL the difference when you are buying a car. Every single one of the employees is friendly, and says hi, holds the door, makes a joke, is excited about your purchase, etc. My experience was worthy of more than 5 stars - I worked with Ed and not only was he knowledgeable, he went the extra mile for me. Eli Torres was great. He sold me my Santa Fe 11 years ago and he remembered me. One thing that I was disappointed in was that they gave me three prices before I agreed to buy. If I had said no, were there more offers still to come? I'm still not sure that I got the best price. Another part of the sale that I did not like was when I signed a contract and was sent to fill out the rest of the paperwork, I was given a high-pressure pitch on purchasing extra insurance for paint, rims, tires, etc. I told him that I was not interested but he continued to tell me th.e advantages. I told him no again; but he still didn't stop - he had to go through the entire presentation. If I buy a car from them, I will refuse that part of the presentation

This is our second time dealing with Sterlynn Roberts. My wife leased her Veloster from this dealer a year and a half ago and I guess it was my turn. Sterlynn is a very pleasant person to deal with and goes above an beyond to make the transaction an easy and pressure free one.Walter (sales mgr) came and asked me if there was anything that he could do to make it a better deal and possibly close the deal then and there. He was not pressuring at all but was still doing his job as I did wind up leasing the car that same day. Jesus is the financial person, quick and dirty. He explained the process and what we were signing pretty well. He also made us feel comfortable. Great dealership.

After a previous bad experience in a different Hyundai dealership, I came to Meriden with little hope of finding the car I wanted at a price I could afford - but they were more than happy to prove me wrong! The staff was extremely warm and friendly, with a good sense of humor, and did not try to take advantage of me in any way just because I was a female. I came in with numbers I could work with, and they made an even better offer after running all the finances and my credit report. Even though it is much farther than other dealerships closer to my home in Bloomfield, I would definitely recommend Meriden Hyundai to anyone looking to buy a Hyundai.

Eli greeted me immediately when I arrived at the dealership. I explained to him that my car had been stolen and needed to replace it. As a women in the past I have been treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and they tried to back me into a payment and not giving me details about the exact cost of the car. Eli didn't do that. When I picked up the car everything was ready to go and papers to be signed. I am a former AVP of a bank and customer service has always been a top priority of mine.

Everyone at Meriden Hyundai was wonderful! My husband bought his Santa Fe there about a year ago and had a great experience (someone who was especially memorable to him was manager Walter Cloud - GREAT and funny guy) so we decided to go there again to get a Sonata for me when my car completely died. My salesman was Joe Connolly; he was very nice and presented me with exactly what I was looking forwith no pressure. He knew my car was dead, but he didn't try to upsell me or try to get me to buy a different car or package than I wantedit was great to work with him. We worked with Walter Cloud again and he is just an awesome person. Walter was able to get us a price that we could afford with as many rebates/deals as he could; he is just someone whom you know you can trust to be honest with you! We only dealt with Jesus for a few minutes at the end of the day, but he seemed like a cool and nice guy, too. Overall, this is a great place to get a car.

I had a good experience at Meriden Hyundai. There was no pressure to buy anything at anytime, it's a generally laid back approach. My only small complaint was the speed of service. There were a couple times I was waiting at the salesman's desk for 10-15 minutes (I was there on multiple days, didn't happen in same day). I understood he had other things to deal with, but in general it just felt like it was taking too long for some aspects of the sale. Really not a big deal to me, but could be a big deal to others.

Overall our experience was very good. Ketsana was great to work with. We generally don't care for the stereotypical car sales approach when buying a vehicle and we're pleased that we were not at all up-sold or pressured into anything. Our only negative was that we had a monthly payment we were comfortable with which we were strongly assured could be met however when we went to get the vehicle, we found the payment far beyond our comfort level. This happened after the vehicle was personalized for us (Bluetooth, etc). I know this is part of the game, but we were so encouraged to not have those games, that when it happened, it was disappointing. After private discussion, we ended up agreeing to the higher payment and are very happy with the vehicle. My only wish would have been for them to negate the stereotype throughout the experience. Despite that, I would highly recommend this dealership and Ketsana.

Every other time I have purchased a vehicle it has been almost an all day process, I spent 2 hours max at the dealership. The finance process was also quick and easy it took at the most 15 minutes to sign all the required paperwork, the electronic signing made the process so much faster. On 10/17/15 I walked into Meriden Hyundai not really knowing what to expect due to my credit not being good. My sales Rep Edwin took me outside to find a car that I liked and once I test drove it, I knew that it was the car! I told him that I loved it and he said "Let me see what I can do. " So we went inside and started the paperwork, me, still not knowing what the outcome was going to be because of my credit. Some time went by as they tried their hardest to get me a loan. To make a long story short, I drove off the lot with a 2016 Hyundai Elanta Value Edition all on my own with no co-signer. Im sooo happy!!! Everyone that I had to speak to or go through to finalize the deal was very friendly and helpful. I have never experience this type of atmosphere with any car dealership when I purchased my previous cars. Great job!!!!!! And THANK YOU!!!!

Went to Meriden Hyundai after a terrible experience at a Subaru dealership where they were in no way willing to budge on price or work with us. I have owned a Hyundai for 13 years and it served me well. When we arrived we were not swarmed by salesmen/women. We were able to freely explore the lot and see what the pricing was like. After about 10/15 minutes we were approached by Edwin (best salesman I have ever experienced). He pulled up all the cars we wanted to test drive and was very educated about all of the models. He worked with us until we were able to get a price for the car we wanted that fit in our budget. We had a tough start in that we got an honest, likeable salesman, but very inexperienced. Sadly he was let go after our second meeting and the next salesman was a complete jerk who was rude on the phone,spoke like a thug, and tried selling us a downgrade of a car we had no interest in. Finally on our third visit we found Sterlin and he was a wonderful, honest, and well knowledged salesman. He did little things like have the AC running in the car so it was comfortable to enter when viewing it on 92 degree day. He addressed both my husband and I about our ideas and concerns. He went into great detail about the different options available, which we did get. After that we bought our new Santa Fe. The head finance officer was excellent and explained the deal very thoroughly. The price was fair and I got a good price for my old car as a trade in. The only other flaw in the process was the wait time to view the vehicle when I had already called ahead to say which specific model I wanted to look at. Plus the excessive wait from the time I agreed to purchase the vehicle and signing the document. Overall the transaction was a success. I believe it would have been a better process if we started off with a better trained salesman. This is the first time someone in my family has bought a Hyundai. I love that the company stands behind the quality of their product with longer warranty periods. My family used to make fun of the brand and nicknamed it "High and dry". Now that they have been for a ride in the 2016 Santa Fe they love it and all its high tech features. They are even considering buying one in the future! Wherever we go people are admiring it and are surprised it is a Hyundai because it has the look and sophistication of a higher end brand, but without the killer price tag.

I purchased a used 2012 Chevy Equinox on May 1st 2015 from this dealership Within a month of having the vehicle it was in need of major repairs on the transmission which took two months Once I got the vehicle back my 60 day/ 3000 mile warranty is now up. Now the Vehicle is back in the shop with major repairs needed. It proves that Hyundai did not have the equipment needed To check the CHEVY equinox before they sold it to me!!!

When we brought our vehicle there for repair, not only were we gouged for a part but were instructed to pick up and drive the vehicle home when it was unsafe and dangerous to drive! He said it would be impossible to find parts for it. So as a last attempt I went to Meriden Hyundai. The process to order the parts was easy and simple. The prices were a little high, but that's to be expected from any dealership. The staff there was friendly. Overall I am very happy with the experienceand will continue to go there for any other parts my car wold need in the future.

My wife and I were very impressed with your dealerhip and its staff. Ou relationship started in December, 2012 when I met Sterlynn and asked for a 2013 catalog. He was very cordial and accommodating. He accepted and respected our decision to hold off buying a car until spring.We made our second ontact with him in March, 2013 and asked if my wife and i could look at a 2013 Sonata to see if it would be a car we would like to consider. Again, he was most accommodating not only in the showroom but also bringing cars in into your service entry to look and try getting in and out of especially since my wife is somewhat handicapped. He also gave us important information concerning features between the basic vs the limited model. At that time we were given the opportunity to test drive the Sonata which up to then I had not driven one. We finally sat down with Sterlynn and Tim Costello and worked out a satisfactory price relating to the new Sonata and our trade. Although they were anxious to complete a deal, they respected our decison to think it over. We did not make our decision until two days later.Our relationship with you dealership, especially Sterlynn and Tim made the process of buying a car an enjoyable experience. As you may know this is not the norm in buying a car. When ever we came into the dealership we were put at ease, We were treated with respect.Our concerns were addressed. I set up an appointment online to test drive a car. I was then constantly harassed by the two media girls daily, Victoria and Kayla. The day I had an appointment to test drive I received an e-mail from one of the girls saying to "schedule a test drive today." I came in and my salesman took over, His name is Nick. He was very pleasant however his knowledge was not the best. The car I test drove has a driver selectable steering wheel that changes the amount of forced used to turn the wheel. He stated the setting also changes the handling as well as the suspension, which is false. I decided to buy that day however they didn't have the car I wanted so they had to find one for me. 2 days later, I had my car. After purchasing the car, Nick has been really bothersome. He doesn't want me to talk to anyone else at the dealer besides him. Most times he has been really rude too, like not calling me back or taking a phone call while having a conversation with me. I had 4 serious problems in 4 days of ownership. I got corporate involved and everything is seems to be fixed now. Cathy from the service department is really nice. She is informative and really great. After my car was in the shop, I noticed the dash wasn't properly fitted together. I had to pop my dash together. This questions the quality of repair. The dealership was recently redesigned and is very nice. The waiting room is filled with donuts, juice and a big screen TV. Vending machines are available as well. Since there are many other Hyundai dealerships in CT, my advise would be to go to a couple and really feel comfortable with the salesperson.

I called Meriden Hyundai and spoke to Christine Folcik, the so-called Business Development Manager to try and get some prices for comparison to Brad Benson Hyundai in New Jersey. She gave me the standard television commercial lease price when I asked her what the best they could do was. I told her what my deal at Brad Benson was after speaking with them. She then told me to go to Brad Benson because they are going to add on all of these extra fees and not honor the deal they gave me over the phone. She also asked me where I was going to get the car serviced if I bought from New Jersey, as if it would be impossible to bring the car in to a local Hyundai dealer to have work done. I responded with "Any dealership that I want!" She told me to go to Brad Benson and to bring a cooler filled with waters because they will keep you sitting there and will not care about you and you will be waiting there while it takes hours to get the deal done. Well, she was right with one thing...the deal did not go as expected. When I went to Brad Benson, the deal was 1000 times better than I could have ever imagined and I am soo glad that Christine actually encouraged me to go there and give them my business. The deal was in and out and was well worth an hour and a half drive to pick up the car. In fact, I would make the drive again any day of the week to go back there for the way Brad Benson Hyundai treated us! We even told them what Christine from Meriden, CT had said about them and they said to me "Watch this....because your CT dealers are giving us such a bad rap and bashing us, we are going to show you how we do business here...your 36 month lease is now a 35 month lease! They paid for the first month of my lease out of their pocket and said don't worry about it, it's on us! They also threw in additional opitons that were not discussed in the deal for free such as a remote automatic start and door moldings at no charge and made sure the car had a full tank of gas. They also had a message for Christine and her CT dealership. The message was...and I quote..."STEP UP YOUR GAME!!" They couldn't have been more right! I would NOT recommend Meriden Hyundai or any CT Hyundai dealer for that matter to anyone. If you want to get the best price around, that Meriden could not even come close to and get treated professionally and with respect, which is how people should be treated then go to BRAD BENSON!! You will be amazed! They have over 1200 cars on their lot, where Meriden probably had 60! The service experience, attitude, fast deal, and cars will blow you away. I couldn't believe that Christine, who is the business development manager at Meriden would be so quick to turn business away and not say what she should have said which was...."come to us and we can try and work something out." You mean to tell me that Meriden Hyundai is doing so well and moves so many cars that they could just turn away business and treat people like that??! Well I am so thankful that she did! Thanks again Christine! And everyone else....go to Meriden Hyundai for the highest prices around and not to mention the best, most sarcastic employee on the phone who is doing so well at her dealership that she doesn't care about your money and business! I really could use the sarcasm after a long day of work too! Brad Benson Hyundai...there is no way in the world you could be disappointed after going there. PS...we also got a ton of free Giants autographed souvenirs too!

I love my new Hyundai Tucson!!!!From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in we were greeted with a smile! The dealership was unexpectedly busy and Haley was called in! She was great! She was so happy to help us! We were so grateful!We knew exactly what we wanted, so got right down to business. Haley did not harrass or pressure us. She was straighforward, along with Jesus and no time was wasted. She was kind, a great sport, and EXTREMELY friendly. She made me feel very comfortable. Not bad at all. I went to Meriden Hyundai with a quote from another dealership, which they quickly matched, but without trying to sell me nonsense like window itching (which is what the other dealer did). Got me the car I wanted, with the exact options I wanted, and the exact color within a few days. No tricks and gimmicks as far as I can tell. Pretty straightforward.I am not sure I got the best possible price, but based on the research I did, I think I got pretty close. The salesman I worked with was very helpful, straightforward guy, who delivered what he promissed. They did mess up the paperwork by misspelling my name, but they went out of their way to correct it as quickly as possible. And they did correct it.

We went to Meriden Hyundai because I saw a used 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe there on cars.com. We went on a Monday. There, we met Tommy Ortiz. He thought that this car was sold. We test drove a new one, but unfortunately wasn't in our budget. He then informed us that the Santa Fe I wanted to see was still there, but needed some detailing. We went back on Wednesday. We took the SUV for a ride. I loved it and so did my husband. We sat down with Tommy, exchanged a few numbers and we said yes. Signed some papers, put a downpayment and it was easy. We went back on Friday and picked up the Santa Fe and it looked awesome! I am very happy now with my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe!! I would recommend the dealership, very professional. Tommy was great - never pushy, just mild-mannered, relaxed and told us the truth about the SUV. He was great!! My experience with Meriden Hyundai was awesome!! Thanks so much! Sandy & Chic

This was the first dealer I went to when looking for a new car. Was having trouble deciding between Hyundai and Kia. I scheduled a test drive, and when it was time they gave me the keys and didn't need to accompany me. I was surprised they were so trusting. We talked about price and went back and forth a few times, until we reached a price that was fair but I wasn't ready to buy yet, not having driven other car brands. Also the car wasn't on the lot so I didn't feel pressured to jump into the sale. So I went to several other places, had terrible experiences at all of them, and came back to Meriden. After all my bad experiences I was expecting to be lied to, treated poorly, put on hold, but I was pleasantly surprised. We went over the same offer, nothing had changed, and I said OK it's a deal. Left my deposit and was told the car could be here in 3 days. I was skeptical, but then James called me up and it was actually there on time! The car was perfect, they didn't sneak in any extra charges or features, exactly what I asked for. They even had VIN etching on the windows and didn't charge me for it! I met with Mike in finance and he walked me through all the paperwork. I took my time and read everything (this is my first new car) and he was very understanding. Despite all the horror stories I heard from friends and family, the numbers on the PO were penny-for-penny what we agreed on, and everything matched up. I got in my car and they took a picture and waved me off :) I was treated very well and I owe Meriden my thanks for a truly wonderful car buying experience. The whole time the staff was friendly and accommodating, and despite some discomfort with the initial price haggling (unavoidable if you don't want to be an overpaying schmuck!) the entire process was very pleasant. I highly recommend Meriden Hyundai, especially James in sales!

I have purchased 5 Hyundai autos since 2001 and 4 of them were purchased at Meriden Hyundai. John Bogdan was the salesperson I dealt with for the last 3 purchases and I cannot say enough great things about him. John is personable, friendly, helpful and works with other staff to get you the best deal possible. John will do his best to make the sale work for you and at the same time he is honest and does not pressure you. Most people dread the car buying "game" but I have always found that John makes it a pleasant, enjoyable experience.I continue to buy Hyundai vehicles for the value and the warranty, but the main reason is for the service I receive at Meriden Hyundai. I always deal with Kathy Cruz as my service advisor and I cannot say enough great things about her. I first met Kathy at another dealership when I owned another brand vehicle and she constantly battled with an extended warranty company to get services covered for my vehicle. Kathy always goes the extra mile for her customers.My dealings at Meriden Hyundai, whether sales or service, have always been exceptional.

I have to say Nick Inman was the greatest car dealer I have ever come across. He was funny, he was honest, he was reliable, he was comforting, he was the Man!!!He was very knowledgable to all my questins and concerns. He was very very good at his job!He worked with my limitations and got me more than what I thought I could get.He could sell ice to an eskimo!!!He presents himself well, does not beat around the bush, and never told me anything that he could not promise in the end. He is a straight shooter and he made me laugh the whole entire time. This dealership is so lucky to have him!!! I will recommend him to everyone and he just makes your dealership look Awsome!!!!! On another note.....Mike Busch was a very kind man however he told me our appointment is at one and he did not end up seeing me until 1:45pm. I was on my lunch break and late to work. He went back on his word and told me he could get me the payments I wanted for the downpayment I told him I could put down. The day I got my car I ended up putting down an extra $1000 dollars and he still did not meet my needs of the monthly payments I asked for. In my mind he told me what I wanted to hear and frankily lied. Nick told me straight forward even if it was not the answer I wanted. I respect that.Otherwise Mike was a nice man just a little inpersonal and unreliable.

My family has owned 4 hyundais, all purchased from Meriden Hyundai. We have had 2 sonatas, one elantra and 1 santa fe. We still own 3 hyundais, 2 of which have over 160,000 miles. When buying the cars we were given the best possible price up front....no "got to talk to the manager" deal. I do my research on consumer reports and KBB and know how much I should be paying for a car. As far as the service goes, you can't find a better service dept in CT. I am 57 years old and have purchased many cars from many dealerships. Kathy Cruz is the most knowledgeable service advisor I have ever dealt with. If for some reason she cannot answer a question she is quick to research and get back with an answer. Although the entire service dept is very good, I always ask for Kathy when I need to bring my car in.

I love this dealership. From Kathy Cruz and all the guys in service, to Mike Russo in sales, and Jesus in finance. They make it easy to buy and service a car. Kathy and the service department make it very easy for me to have my car serviced. When I have a problem, it is always bring it right in, and if they need to keep my car for work, they are always so accomodating with a loaner car. I would highly recommend this dealership.

Meriden Hyundai is the worst of the worst of Hyundai dealerships in CT. Lea Hyundai of Hartford is next in line. The service department is not even capable of returning phone calls after leaving messages. The first problem is that they don't even answer their phone in the serivce department and instead you are forwarded to a voicemail almost everytime. Don't bother leaving a message because you'll never hear back from them. When I spent $26k on a ne Sonata last year I expected much more. I should have know that the car and company were too good to be true. Great warranty coverage but what good is it if you cannot get the reapairs and recalls performed??????? I am not forced to drive 45 minutes away to Key Hyundai in Vernon to get service performed on my vehicle

I highly recommend speaking with Allison from the Internet Inquiry Dept. (you only can get her quotes if you inquire through the internet), or Frank Kimball in the Sales Dept. Both went above and beyond to help me in my new car purchase. If you want the best deal of any of the Hyundai dealerships out there, it is definitely worth a shot to give Allison and Frank Kimball a call. I did A LOT of research, and they were the most helpful, and most honest with information. I only wrote "good" for the overall facilities question because it is an older building. They are in the process of purchasing a brand new building or remodeling the one they are currently in. So, pretty soon that category will be "excellent" as well.
