My daughter's 2013 Chevy Malibu started leaking light pink liquid on the ground the Friday before the car was brought into Merit (9/19). Neither my daughter nor I are mechanics, plus the fact I'm single, so having Jeff Michaelson available to consult by phone helps out immensely. I called Jeff on Friday and he said the car should be looked at, so Jeff got me in the following Monday. Brought it in and it turned out to having to replace the water pump along with (2) transmission cooler lines. As soon as the mechanics figured out what it was, Jeff called me. He let me know right away that the water pump would be taken care of under the power train warranty (I think that's what it was called.) We would have to pay for the transmission cooler lines and Jeff always gives me an approximate price so I'm not hit when I pick up the car. I gave him the OK to go ahead and it was fixed that day. I am the one who brings the 3 Chevy's in for repair/maintenance since I work so close to Merit. On a side note, my son's Impala was being worked on in the body shop that day, so I had a rental. I always have my manual in the car with me so I can tell when certain code signs come on so I know what's wrong. The rental car didn't have one that I could see, so simply called Jeff to ask what that was. I had accidentally hit the cruise control button on the steering wheel. (I don't use cruise control that much). My being able to call him for simple things like this add to the service he provides and why I ask for him each time I go there ... another plus for the service department at Merit having someone like Jeff to work with.

Took our car in for a recall notice. Talked to John about an issue we have been having with the car not starting in the morning, usually when there is an excess of dew on the hood. He said they could check it out. A couple of hours later he called to say they couldn't get the car to start. This was odd to me since it only happens in the morning and never during the day after we get it running. He said they noticed a loose battery connection and when they tightened it they got it started. This is also odd, since I just checked the battery connections earlier in the week when I had to give a neighbor's car a jump. They charged us a fee for a diagnostic check and the car still has trouble starting in the morning.

Daughter's car's engine light wouldn't go off. First thought it was a gas cap put on wrong, but kept doing it. Called Jeff at Merit and was able to get it in the next day. Apparently it was something on the "recall" list so was able to get it fixed with no cost. As I've said in the past, working with Jeff is great. He got me in right away so I could get my car back from my daughter. The next day, the passenger van had left already. When it didn't come back for a while, I checked with Jeff, who in turn called the driver. Apparently he was stuck on the freeway behind an accident with no hope of moving soon. Jeff checked with management to see if myself and another gentleman who work at 3M could get a ride in one of their service vehicles and upon their OK, found someone in the service area who drove us. When I called to be picked up, I hit it at a bad time again. The passenger van was out with a number of passengers having to be picked up. Jeff was kind enough once more to see if he could stop by and get me. I get nervous if it gets past 5PM, when Jeff leaves, that I might be stranded. I have heard stories of this happening to other people at other places. He was able to and got me back to Merit. I take this time to talk to Jeff since he handled the service call so was able to do this, rather than talking to someone else who may not know the repair info as well. Besides keeping my car in running condition, I appreciate the personal service I receive from Jeff, a service agent I see each time I go to Merit, and shows me Merit recognizes me as a loyal customer. Jeff's help, makes Merit go above and beyond!

The whole experience starts with your service agent ... if you are assured he knows what you are talking about ... knows to let you know of any additional work necessary or to be handled the next time you come in (and lets you know about it)...can answer your questions in a knowledgeable way ... your concerns are laid to rest ... and that's what Jeff does ... along with moving my car right outside the door so when I come to pick it up I'm not having to wait. Even my ride to work was enjoyable as Greg drove me and I've known him for quite a while. I can chat with him so it's not like getting in the van with a stranger ... and I appreciate that ... both Jeff and Greg are Merit's customer service and they do it well.

Brought 2010 Impala for usual 6,000 mile check up. There were 3 additional things Jeff called be back about, 2 of which were each over $1,000 to repair. We went over each of the problems and decided on 2 of them. Jeff made me comfortable with the discussion that the 3rd could wait. It was near the end of the day and I called and asked for the driver at Merit to pick me up. With all the construction on the highways going on which results in back-up, I called Jeff as well and left a message that I would be waiting outside. Jeff leaves at 5PM and the driver hadn't returned yet so he took it upon himself to jump in a loaner car and come pick me up himself ... now that's service ... and I really appreciated his thoughtfulness. Also want to mention to other people at Merit ... Joe, the person who drives people from Merit to their workplace, etc. in the AM and Greg. When I dropped my car off at Merit, my son was waiting for me to take me to work. Joe was going to leave and came to check with me first to see if I needed a ride. Greg always calls me by name, even if just to say hi. I can ask him things about vehicles too ... which is appreciated.

Pat was great to deal with in your body shop. I had my truck in after a accident that wasn't my fault. she dealt with the adjuster ,kept my wife and I informed and worked internal with the shop staff to cover all issues with my truck. I was working out of town and Pat went out of her way to keep my wife in the loop. Merit and staff was there when I needed them from start to finish. When I called from the accident late Saturday afternoon to have it towed , to picking it up a week later. Great , Great Service , Special Kudos to Pat

While Merit Chevrolet went out of their way to call us to schedule a test drive we were very disappointed that despite them knowing that we were coming from several hours away this past Saturday they didn't call to let us know that the vehicle we were interested was sold. We realize that the vehicle could sell prior to us getting there but it would have been really nice for them to let us know so we didn't waste our entire day. Even if we were half way there we could have turned around and saved at least part of the day and driving expenses.

I inquired about information I wanted on the car. A woman responded quickly to my request; however, I was delayed in getting back to her. When I returned her call she was out and left a message. In stepped a different salesman same day as my message that wanted to get involved. Even thought I told him on numerous occasions that I wanted to deal with my first contact out of fairness since she had spent time on my request, he continued with high press to take over. I finally had to tell him that he was "I my face, not listening to me, rude and that I would not deal with him." He continued pressing by saying he just wanted to help. I hung up. New car sales manager called me and said they were just tying to help me and I said that was fine but the salmon would not listen to me and kept pressuring me to work with him. No apology was offered! Worst car buying experience ever.

I bought a 2015 Silverado last year and when I was considering buying a new car for my wife, I knew that I would go to Merit. The sales staff were friendly and did not pressure me at all. They gave me a good deal for my trade and I feel they treated me fair. I have previously purchased from a large dealer with many locations but I really like the service that I have gotten at Merit. I will be a lifetime customer.

Jerry at Merit stuck with me as I test drove nearly every truck on the lot. He listened to what I was looking for, put up with my indecisiveness, and helped me drive home (sell me of course) the truck I both wanted and needed. He even talked me out of a couple that weren't right for me! He understood that higher mileage vehicles would have a few issues, which didn't worry me, and had the knowledge and experience working on cars to really speak honestly to the vehicles condition. I picked the on I wanted BECAUSE it was the only one on the lot that needed a few MINOR repairs, which of course saved me even more $$. Most of the trucks were in too perfect of condition for my taste, as they really take pride in their inventory. And, being a mechanic, I went with a purpose and Jerry helped me see it through. To top it off, over 1/2 of the trucks weren't from auctions, but instead they were trade in from precious Merit customers! How about that for loyalty! Overall, I couldn't be happier with my buying experience at Merit unless they gave their vehicles away! They now have a lifetime customer.

We purchased a per-owned Impala from Merit Chevrolet. We found the car on the internet and traveled the 150 miles to purchase it. Adam was our salesperson. Because of the high mileage, there was no warranty. The first day we realized there was a problem with the transmission. Merit Chevrolet had no responsibility to help us out, but chose to help us by having the car towed into the dealership and putting in a new transmission. I cant speak for others, but our experience with Merit Chevrolet and Adam, were totally over and above when it came to customer service. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who asks. They certainly did right by this customer.

Brought 2010 Impala in for 6,000 mile check-up. It was close to 100,000 miles so Jeff, my service consultant I request each time I go, recommended 2 other things that needed to be done to my car. Off the top of my head, I can't remember what they were, but since we work together each time I bring my car in, he stated I could do the 6,000 mile and one of the things, leaving the other one for the next time I come, since whatever it was had been done at 50,000 miles. Jeff's consultation like this makes me feel comfortable, especially after what you hear about other places who take women for more than they need. There's a trust in his knowledge, him knowing I want my car kept up, but being single, I do have a budget. Jeff also remembers I take Friday afternoons off and stated he would be sure to have my car done by then. Of course, there's always having my car up front, not having to wait for someone to bring in up, that's an added touch. He does a great job!

I searched the internet for the specific truck I wanted. Must be a 2500, have bucket seats. Color was not important, price was! Found one at Merit, was going to have my local dealer bring up, but would need to put down a deposit.I decided to drive to Merit, and see it for myself. After test drive with Julie, I was unsure about purchase as it had standard car mirrors on a 3/4 ton truck! Ron stepped in, gave me a better deal on the truck, and said he would put the camper tow mirrors in at no charge! Just brought the truck home, and the mirrors are awesome and now it looks like a 3/4 ton truck!! I know he took a hit on promising me the mirrors ($1200), but you now have a new customer and I will definitely refer people there. It was an hour away for me but well worth the drive! I had a sensor replaced that was covered under warranty. I was pleased to learn that the ded. was waived because the issue had a special policy on it. Sadly, the check engine lights came back on the next day so it will have to go back to the shop again sometime this week.

Our first visit for vehicle issue was handled poorly by the female service person working with us, poor service and the issue was still present when we picked up the vehicle. We had to then bring back the car to the dealership the next day, service person John gave us great customer service and fully resolved the issue. Had it not been for him I would have rated 1 star based on 1st experience, but John totally changed my opinion back to a 5 star rating.

A little background, I have bought new Chevy pickups every 3 years from 1965 until 2001 when I semi retired. The 2001 is the one I am referring about. I had a clonk noise in the drive train and took it to Merit Chevrolet, they test drove it and said it was a bad transfer case but they needed to have their tech check it out to be sure. That would cost me $ 135.00. Thirty minutes go by and I ask the service writer to check on my truck he comes back and tells me it is almost done. Twenty more minutes go by and I ask him again to check, he comes back and tells me they are wrapping it up. Finally after the third time I ask him to check on it he tells me they are taking it off of the lift as we speak. So I wait outside of the garage and I see a guy go to the back of the parking lot and pull my truck out of the back parking lot. It obviously was never on the rack. He was lying the whole time! Ahh now the for the real rip off. While I was waiting the service writer wrote up the estimate : $1800.00 for the transfer case, $1100.00 for labor. I had already called Merit Parts to get an idea what a transfer case and/or a transmission would cost. I was quoted $1500.00 for the transfer case not $1800.00. By this time after waiting needlessly for an hour and getting a bogus estimate I just leave. I take it ti another garage and was quoted $1100.00 for parts with a much better warranty then Merit offered and labor was only $400.00 but he says it is NOT the transfer case, he says it is either the u-joints or more then likely it is the transmission. So being I paid Merit $135.00 for a professional diagnosis I took it back there to double check the problem. This time the service manager and 2 techs look at it while I am there and using a stethoscope assured me it is the transfer case. I went back to my mechanic and told him Merit was positive it was the transfer case. After replacing the u-joints (wishful thinking on my part) he said it had to be the transmission. Unfortunately I trusted Merit Chevrolet to know more then a small neighborhood mechanic, how wrong I was! Long story short I had the transfer case put in and it turned out it was the transmission and now I am out the $1500.00 for the transfer case I never needed. By the way, after complaining to the service manager he told me the service writer would be reprimanded for over charging, Yeah right! You know they do that to everyone and if you do not do your homework they RIP YOU OFF as well. Merit is by far the best dealership in Minnesota I have been to. I have purchased other vehicles from them in the past, however my last truck I bought from Mauer. I figured all dealerships were the same. I could not have been more wrong. Everything I took for granted at Merit was missing at Mauer. Merit has excellent and knowledgeable people everywhere, from sales and finance to service. I will never go to another dealer again. The transaction process is like a well oiled machine, extremely smooth and quick. Typically people dread having to go to their dealership, but with Merit, I look forward to it. Kind of feels like going to visit old friends.

Very good experience. Sales staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Only negative experience was time it took to get into finance to sign papers. Once in there the gentleman was fantastic and we were out very quickly.

They are also willing work out the best options for the work that needs to be done and the pricing on parts. I did not rate the service 5 stars this time because I started an oil consumption test and my engine was overfilled. I had to return the next day to have oil removed.

I was in for an oil change, a smelly air conditioner and a klunk in the rear of my 2014 Silverado. All three services were taken care of. The Tech drove my truck three times to figure out the klunk and fix it. Last oil change I had done there, I mentioned the smell and the klunk. Neither was taken care of. I'm very happy this time.

I have a 2015 Tahoe purchased from Merit and I called to see if I could get in for a quick oil change the same morning. When I called and was transferred to the appointments/service dept. and the woman was very pleasant, but she seemed to be very new to the job. I stressed that I only had a quick question, ie. are there any openings this morning for a quick oil change? She was very polite, but din't answer the question, instead she asked for my phone # to apparently bring up my account. Then we went through a verification of which vehicle (very appropriate), then she asked to verify my email address, then my home address..... Then she asked when I would like to bring in my Tahoe, offering that there were openings each day through Wednesday, so again, I reminded her that I wanted an appointment today (Monday), if possible. I believe she then offered me a special on windshield wipers and then mentioned about a tire sale. Really? My Tahoe is new :-( Anyhow, the appointment was finally made after 4 1/2 minutes on the phone. As usual, the service department team was friendly and the turnaround on the service was excellent, something I have experienced over the past 20 years and new four auto purchases. I'm providing this feedback so you can coach your customer service people to be quick and efficient to maintain your great image. Thanks. P.S. I came in for my 6,000 mile check-up. Due to the low number of miles I drove since the last time, Jeff advised me that I only needed the basic oil change. That was nice ... it cost less than I thought it would and shows that Merit isn't one of those dealerships that states you need everything when you don't. Again, having a service agent like Jeff, you trust in what he tells you ... and it makes it feel like he's not looking out for Merit, but he's looking out for you, his customer. When I picked my car up, Jeff was at lunch, but my car was up front, ready for me to drive it away.

My engine light was coming on. They diagnosed it and I brought it back to do the work. Engine light is off now and everything seems good. The day before when they did the engine diagnosis I had recall work done. They made the mistake of charging me for it and also didn't use the coupon I brought for an oil change. Instead of crediting me for the work they charged it again. Someone in the office noticed it and called me at home to get it corrected. I think there was a new person working in the cashiers office.

What I value most is your service department and the ability I have to work with one service consultant. No one likes to bring there car in for a repairs but Duane eases the pain with he timely updates suggestion. One thing GM needs to fix is there pricing on parts. I believe my service is good. However, I find the shuttle service not so user friendly. I waited over an hour for a call back. He had another run and then get to me which meant it would be almost 2 hour wait for a ride back to Merit. That was way too long for me and I ended up getting a co-worker to take me there to get my car picked up.

The time on my repairs was insane. I was esimated 2 hrs for each recall. So I decided to just have 1 done and it only took 25 mins. The other took 2 hrs. Seems as thouhh a better tine coikd be estimated. I would have really been annoyed if they had brought me home had it only taken that shirt amount of time. Otherwise the service writer did a great job..p

My car's frontend would shake when I applied the brakes while driving on a freeway. I had an appointment the Tuesday after Memorial Weekend. I arrived at 10:00 a.m. for my appointment. They were really backed up. They said they could not look at my car until after lunch. They gave me a ride home and called me later to tell me I needed front rotors and brake shoes and pads. My frontend also needed an alignment. They told me my car would be ready before they closed at 8:00 p.m. Since they were backed up, because of the holiday weekend, I think this was great. service

The service was great and the waiting room was clean and well stocked with coffee, water and snacks. I appreciate a good cup of coffee in the morning. It was very busy for coming up on the Memorial Day weekend, but my appointment went as fast as expected. Most important was the peace of mind that I had regarding the travel that I had to do for the holiday weekend.

I visited Merit Chevrolet to have my first of four oil changes done as part of the 2-year maintenance program provided for the new purchase of my 2014 Silverado. I like that you can drive right in the service entrance as you pull up to the dealership/service overhead door. I had a question about some quaint squeaks I thought were suspension related. With a little over 5000 miles on the truck, I was a little concerned that I was hearing those noises already on a new truck. One of the service reps took me on a drive to see if we could determine what the issue was. We drove for about ten minutes and determined that the semi-metallic brake pads was what we were hearing and that that is a common thing with those type of pads. They had the service tech person make sure the pads were positioned correctly(which they were) and the service was performed as usual. The truck was ready in less than an hour and I was on my way.

I had a problem with the remote entry on my Corvette and Jeff contacted me to discuss the problem and offer a low cost solution. I opted to replace the part and he initially told me the part would need to be ordered and I would need to schedule another appointment. He later called me back to report that they had the part for another customer that I could have due to the fact that the other customer needing the part was not scheduled until the next week and they could reorder the part to arrive in time for that customer. The extra effort was appreciated and singles Jeff and Merit out for the service I have come to expect.

I have also bought a number of other new cars from Merit, including a 1997 Blazer, a 2007 Impala LTZ, and now the Equinox. I have never tried to buy cars from you on the "cheap", and have found your sales staff quite fair. Otherwise I would not have remained your customer all these years. I have always liked your service staff, although a lot of them have gone. A few of them still recognize me. I may be one of your oldest customers.

The services took longer than I was quoted, and I came back to the dealership to check on my car without being called. I was told THEN that my car was ready. When I went to the receptionist to retrieve my keys, she told me that she had paged me in the waiting room. I had never been in the waiting room. In addition, I had included a windshield wiper blade change on my service request. It wasn't performed. I am a longtime customer of Merit, and have been very happy for years, but things seem to be slipping.

I set up an appointment for a tire rotation and a 30,000 mile air filter change. They told me after I got my car serviced that they did not have the filter in stock but went ahead and did the tire rotation. It is very disappointing that this is not the first time that they did not have parts in stock for a simple 7500 mile service.

I brought the 2013 Malibu in for the 5,000 mile check-up (or is it 6,000). I got a ride into work with my son, so didn't need the shuttle then. As always, I want to work with Jeff as we have a good working relationship--he knows what I want & treats me like a customer he has gotten to know. I called in the PM to get a shuttle to Merit. I usually talk to Jeff, but he must have been busy, so I left a message. I thought about it and called back in case he would be tied up for a while. Here's another reason why I like Jeff...I asked whoever answered if the shuttle driver was there, he said no, but should be back within 15 minutes...and left it at that. When I called back, I wanted to see if Jeff was available yet, and he was. What Jeff did from the message I left earlier is found the shuttle driver who must have been dropping someone off and told him to come get me before stopping back at Merit. Just that little extra step he took meant something to me. Lastly, when I picked up my car, paid my bill, Jeff was with someone. The girl called the runner to go pick up my car. I told both her and the runner that Jeff usually parks my car up front so it's ready for me. She asked which Jeff and I pointed him out. She then gave me the keys. I took them, not paying attention, and when I got to my car, and clicked the button to open the door, it didn't work. I looked down and noticed I had the keys for a Honda. I walked back into Service and Jeff was finishing up. By the time I got to the girl, Jeff came over to see what was up. When I told him, he personally went into the office and got my keys. Another extra effort on Jeff's part, so it didn't end up taking up longer, which I truly appreciate.

Based on my recent experience I would definitely recommend Merit to my friends and family. However, a year ago I was given a recall notice and I called Merit 2 separate times about the recall and was told both times that it had already been fixed. During my latest visit to get my oil change (which I was concerned about because the last time I got my oil changed at Merit, my car started leaking oil) I was informed that I did not have the recall issue fixed. Of course, I was floored by this! I will most likely start going to a different provider.

Terrible. Purchased my used vehicle but before signing I had to point out the RECALL on the ignition to the sales person....I should have just walked away at this point. They called me several weeks later to replace the RECALLED ignition. BEFORE they even had the right parts, they tore apart the ignition. Logic dictates you do not start a project before you have the right parts. Strike 2. They put me in a "loaner" car for 2 months. When they finally replaced the ignition I dropped off the loaner car and gave my car a good once over. Over the 2 months my car sat in their parking lot the lights went bad...yes, Merit is responsible. Spent $140 for them to tell me it wasn't their problem and nothing was fixed. A week later the wheel bearing went bad and I suspect my car sat in a puddle of shi* during the summer. A week and a 1/2 after picking up the car, they call me up and tell me that the loaner had front and rear accident damage and that they need to file a claim....No, it did not and I have a plethora of pictures to prove it. I'm no idiot, I take pictures. LIARS! First, I had no choice but to take the loaner because of their stupidity. They then threaten me when I told them about the lemon they sold me and the lack of response from anyone at that xxx business.All in all, I will NEVER purchase another car from these losers. They are scummy and deserve to have their business shut down.

The service adviser knew I was coming and what the problems were from when I scheduled the appointment. He was honest with me on what it would take to diagnosis the problems and gave me choices on how best to take care of things. Then the service technician found the problem much quicker than expected and performed the repair in less than half the time I was told it would take. Appointment for GM recall on Impala keys. Fixed, but was given someone else's car remote control fob on my key chain. Because keys were already in car I discovered this later and had to call service department and then drive back to return the remote.

Andy Eckert handled my recent 6 day experience at Merit Chevrolet. He actually had to push my dead car in the garage Wednesday evening, provided me with a courtesy car, which was very much appreciated. Friday am. my car was towed in and parts could not be obtained before the weekend so he provided me with another courtesy car until Monday when my car was finished. He was courteous, prompt, and very accommodating. The frustrating, hectic days of my car in and out of the shop were nothing thanks to Andy's excellent service and accommodations. I came in around 11:30 on a very busy snowy Sat. morning with a car whose windshield wipers suddenly stopped working. My daughter needed her car back for a drive to La Crosse later that afternoon. The service writer and others I spoke with at Merit were so open to helping us out and taking the car in to work on it. They fixed the problem by mid afternoon. This kind of service is why we bring our Chevy into Merit when it needs service.

This service experience was excellent. I just did a survey on my other Chevrolet so I will respond re: most recent purchase with my 23 yr daughter, Agira. Oct., 2013 Agira purchased her 1st car at Merit. Diane was her sales consult. I only offered advice as Agira purchased her 2013 Cruize. She was very pleased with the entire experience! Chris Rinkle allowed Diane to sell the car at a very good price. Finance found extremly goog terms and low interest. Agira loves her Cruize, now a year after purchase!

My appointment was for just an oil change. There were several other things that popped up...not needing immediate action, but needing Merit's (Jeff, my service agent I request all the time) opinion on. Dealing with Jeff, he doesn't get nervous, jump the gun, and state "we won't have time for this". He realizes I don't expect this, which is great customer service...rather than get shut down before you even say something. We went over my concerns, and made another appointment for the additional work needed. I should also mention here, the service manager (I believe that's his title). He's worked there a long time and Jeff wasn't afraid to ask for his opinion on something. He didn't just give his answer without looking at my car ... he went over and looked at the history of work done on my car and was able to add support to something I needed done. He's been there quite a while, recognizes who I am, that I've been coming there a long time, which I appreciated. In fact, every time I see him, I remember the time I slid up on a guard rail because of the ice that day. I had a blazer at the time, so once was lifted up and off the guard rail, I drove to Merit. The service manager put my blazer up on the rack and looked under it...water was dripping all over him, but he didn't care. He assessed that nothing happened to the car and away I went. That's something when you remember things someone has done for you as a customer, or how they treat you every time you come in. Why I keep going to Merit : )

I was pleased that Merit put forth the effort to get me my refund, as I had experience a drop in coolant level this spring and subsequently had a pressure drop test done for $75, and gained nothing. Then, as usual, GM sends a letter after the fact stating this could occur from an air bubble at the factory.

I have to say it was a very good experience. It started with my wife and I walking around the truck area of the lot Sat. morning looking for a blue topaz 1/2 ton truck. Bill Camden came buzzing over on his unique looking golf cart telling us he would check out back for one. He came back telling us there was not, but said that they could do an area vehicle search of the twin cities and have it delivered out to Merit. This delighted us for the simple fact that we would not have to waste our own gas running around to the different dealers. Bill's personality gave us both laughs and positive feelings of a potential good day. We all went into the building to start the search and get the ball rolling. We had also just purchased a chevy captiva for my wife with the help of another sales associate, Jeff Maas who was also very helpful and had a comforting personna to make us feel welcome. Bill found four trucks and I rated them one thru four priority wise. We went through some preliminary numbers and paperwork. Bill was very confident that we would get the truck we wanted in a couple of days. We did get the 1st priority truck we wanted. It was there on Monday and we picked it up Tuesday. Thanks to everyone at Merit for their expertise and professionalism. It made it another great experience of purchasing a new vehicle within six weeks of each other. Bravo!!

Even after the paperwork was signed, an issue was found on the truck before I left. It was taken care of by the dealership. I came in to have some recall stuff done plus I had a cluster rattle and a Bluetooth issue with iPhone 5. I'm guessing all is good with recall portion but extremely please that they found the rattle and fixed it. While the Bluetooth issue isn't fixed I was please with their effort to do some updates that might fix it. I have also been working with my link on the Bluetooth issue so hopefully we find a solution.

I brought my car in for its usual interior/exterior detailing before winter. I had called my service person, Jeff, and set it up last week. When I arrived, Jeff was ready for me and even had the guy who was going to do the detailing with him so I knew it would be started immediately after I left. The guy who did the work did a great job. My car is still sparkling. It was done before the day so I could pick it up after work. Jeff, as always does a wonderful job taking care of me and my car. He even made extra points as after I paid my bill, he was in the back service area at the time. We usually converse about what's been done about the car, but since he wasn't there, I just walked to my car (which was right outside for me as usual, which I greatly appreciate). I heard my name and turned around. There was Jeff, making sure I was satisfied what was done and making sure any other questions I had were answered. That meant a lot...that Jeff doesn't just think of me as a number, but as a true customer. A big thanks to Jeff and the guy that did the detailing. I'm happy and my car looks great !!!

This visit was due to Jeff's advice earlier this summer...that the car would need tires before winter...providing me time to put aside $ for instead of dropping the bomb they were needed immediately. Merit is close to 3M where I work, which does help. However, Jeff in the Service Department, provides the outstanding service each and every time I bring one of my two cars in for service which I appreciate. I can buy a Chevy anywhere, but a Chevy dealer's service department is what makes the dealership in my eyes. Back in 2012, I did buy a new brand new Chevy from another dealer because of the $ and the salesman I dealt with was great--looking for me to be satisfied, not his wallet. I even tried out their Service Department as the person I was dealing with at Merit left. I can tell you they didn't provide the service I was used to at Merit. I've been working with Jeff about a year now. He was working at Merit when the other service person I worked with was there. When that person left, I knew right away who I would go to when my cars needed service. He's courteous, knowledgeable, very easy to talk to. I always need to be picked up at the end of the day and brought back to Merit. I call Jeff to have someone come and get me and he'll have my car close to the service area so I don't have to wait for someone to go to the "back forty" to get it. After paying my bill, I always stop and chat with Jeff to go over any questions I have regarding the service that was done and is the reason for my loyalty to Merit Service Dept.

They had to fix a stabelizer link at under 40,000. I didn't think it was something that should have worn out already but it did and they got on it right away and fixed it for me and got me back on the road in no time.The cost was something I didn't think I would be putting out with that few miles on it. But than, that is why I am looking at other makes and models that have 100,00 mile warentee on them to replace my trail blazer.

Everyone was friendly and my service ultimately was good. The only issue I had with this specific appointment is that the estimated 45 minute wait ended up being 1 1/2 hours. At 1 1/2 hours I went out to the desk to check on my vehicle and saw it sitting outside. I don't know how long it had been sitting there finished but no one told me my vehicle was ready.

I came to have what I thought was 2 burnt out headlights replaced but they said it was some kind of electrical issue. They did not have a loaner available for my that night but made arrangements for me to get one the next day. As it turned out, I only needed the loaner for a couple of hours because they were able to diagnose the problem and get it fixed. They need to keep the car over the weekend because they had to order parts. A loaner was offered to me but I declined. The car was supposed to be done on Monday, but the part had not arrived. Then I did take the loaner (sweet ride, by the way...nice Impala). Came back Tuesday afternoon and car was done, but there was a charge on the bill. Service Manager checked in the computer, saw that my car was still under warranty, and deleted the charge. He was very helpful and it only took five minutes. So there were definitely some good aspects to this service visit, and some slightly unpleasant ones. Regardless of the situation, every employee I dealt with was top-notch and professional. But will you please buy the cashiers an automatic stapler. They do a lot of stapling and have only a cruddy manual stapler. It would make ergonomic sense.

Recognizes the importance of establishing a repeat customer vs one time repair.I have really noticed the change in your service department over the last couple of years. I feel much more a like a valued customer there thses days as opposed to a minor inconvenience. The staff is much more personable and great follow through I was really impressed with you guys getting Vehicle One to cover my CV boot. This saved me the effort of haggling with them which I was fully expecting. Ease of doing business is one thing many companies forget about these days, and Merit is doing a super job here. Jason did a great job of showing me all available model Silverado's I was interested in and explained the differences. He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed buying decision. My only complaint was with the company LinX that installed my bed liner. It took way too long for them to complete this simple installation. Purchased truck on a Thursday and truck wasn't returned to dealership until late on Monday. I couldn't arrange pickup late on Monday, so I actually took ownership on Tuesday, 5 days after purchase. I suggest working with LinX or another company on a faster turn around for new customers.

I went to drop my vehicle off a couple hours before my appointment since I had other things to do. I parked outside and went in to give them the keys, etc. First no service rep would acknowledge me. Finally, after one got off the phone, I informed her why I was there and she told me I had to drive my vehicle in and to get in line. By this time several other vehicles had gotten in line. This made me delayed for my other engagements and cost me valuable time.

My salesman Jason was awesome. I purchased a brand new car and he catered to all my requests. He was very patient which can be hard with me as I change my mind a lot and wanted to see every car. The dealership did not have the color I wanted so Jason went out of his way and made sure to get the color I wanted. He definitely went above and beyond. Definitely would refer my friends to Merit. The finance department was also very helpful and informed me on all the warranties that I could get. One thing I loved is I never felt pressured to purchase anything I didn't want. Great job!

Daughter hit a pothole night before and tire totally blew. Had to have tow truck tow it to Merit. It was after hours, but I called and left a message for my service person I always deal with -- Jeff. Told him what was happening and that I'd be in the following morning, but would need a new tire on it and to let me know if anything else was wrong. Working with Jeff all the time, I feel confident that there wouldn't be a hold up as he works with me and knows I want the best for my car. I stopped in the following morning, and Jeff had already ordered a tire for me. He called me once the work was done and assured me everything else looked OK. I stopped back that afternoon and paid for the repair. Told both him and the cashier that my daughter would be by to pick it up after she was done with work. As the lot is open at that time and I had paid for it, I was assured there would be no problem. Jeff walked me out to the car and showed me the new tire, answering an additional question or two I had. This makes for the good working relationship I have with Jeff/Merit. Working with someone like Jeff, I'm not just a number in the Service Dept. with Merit, I'm me! I'm a Chevy person. I could buy a Chevy anywhere else, but would always bring it to the Service Dept. at Merit because of the Customer Service I receive and well as the repair jobs that the technicians do on my car.

Brought 2010 Impala in for oil change/tire rotation ... Make my appointment with Jeff in Service as he and I have a good working relationship which makes the service appt all the more comfortable. He knows I want the best for my car but don't want $$$ all at once in order to fix something. Jeff called and told me that my tire(s) would need replacing by this fall, but not to worry they should hold out till then...just make sure I do before winter. He called to say my car was done, but knows I wait till the end of the day to pick my car up before I go home. I got carried away at work and didn't realize the time. It was after Jeff went home so when I called Jeff to tell him I needed to be picked up, someone else in Service picked up the phone and said he had gone home. She immediately addressed me by name and said someone would be over to pick me up shortly. She wouldn't have known it was me so I figured out because I asked for Jeff, he made sure the Service Dept. knew I would need to be picked up and didn't want me left hanging. Told them to watch for my call and send someone over. Now that's service!

I though they did a good job explaining to me what needed to be don and helped my prioritize. The documentation was good. They only piece I did not like is that the quotes was fow $710, I had a 50$ off. I would have expected to pay $660ish. My bill was $728.22. After I told them about the Coupon they added over $50 in Misc charges. If I had not had the coupon and would have been quotes $710 and actually owed almost $800 - yikes. I think a $60 swing deserves a second call.

I've been coming to Merit for almost 7 years. I moved up to the cities the week after my hometown was flooded in 2007, with my parents inundated with worrying about how they were going to repair their house, buy a new car and figure out how much insurance would pay (not a lot!), I tried to ask for them for as little of help as I could. Whenever I needed my car repaired I went to Merit. Oil change, new tires, random dings fixed in the repair shop, Merit is where I went.When the time came to buy a new vehicle, I knew that Merit would be on the top of a very short list of dealerships that I would want to do business with. Wen i brought my Aveo in for an oil change, I didn't think that I would be buying a new vehicle that same day. When we first walked around, Jerry came out and introduced himself and gave us is car. No pressure, just friendly. We continued to look around by ourselves and sought out Jerry when. We found a vehicle we wanted to know more about. We drove a couple cars and discussed the options. Jerry (and Chris) gave us a couple of estimates, still no pressure! We left to discuss and go over options and came back to make the purchase. You didn't have the exact model I was looking for, but were able to find it very quickly and close by. I'm glad that everything happened the way it did and still no pressure from anyone. Everyone always hears stories about car salesmen pressuring to buy, up selling, trying to get you to buy the most expensive, the highest high end, but not there, no pressure, a lot of help from Jerry and Chris.Also, the finance department was great! I was only in there for a short time, but the employee that helped was also top notch! Merit is my dealership and you will continue to have my business for many years to come!

Staff is always friendly. Our regular service person was not avail. so another helped us. When I called the night before Dwayne was able to schedule us the next a.m. Job was done quickly; however my only negative is after leaving I drove out & heard a noise in the tires & had to turn around to have them fix it AGAIN. Something didn't get put back together correctly. After a few days I can still hear it a bit & will bring it back again. A test drive should've been done before completing the work ~ But I will always bring my Tahoe to Merit. It's reassuring to know they're service dept. is amazing A++.

Have been using Merit Chev going on 12 years not only for routine service work and auto body work/repairs but also for purchasing vehicles. Everyone I've encountered has been friendly, honest, and trustworthy. If additional work needs to be done they'll let you know and contact you, if it doesn't need to be done at the time they're honest enough to tell you that also. They go out of their way to treat you right, have always been fair in their dealings, and they are always there when you need them. Will continue using them as long as they're around. Duane? was very professional and helpful: showed me waiting room, snacks, cashier... Found Merit internet, watched some Ellen, visited with others waiting and was on my way in an hour. Happy girl!

This was the fastest one by far. However, there was no recommendation or suggestion what I should do from the service receptionist. Usually they recommend what is the best thing to do. Duane was the one I usually work with, but he wasn't there at the time.

I have mentioned in previous surveys about Merit however that offering complimentary car washes as part of a service visit (like many of the foreign car dealerships do) would be a great idea in keeping customers satisfied AND retaining their long term business

When I had my Truck dropped off they had no record of any appointment. When I made my appointment I was told it would take at 4 days to complete, You had it for 14 days. I understand things come up and problems occur, just wish I would have been contacted instead of me contacting you to find out where the repairs were at. When I did contact them, twice, I was told on the second phone call, again that they had no record and that I would have my phone call returned. Never received a call. I like doing business with you but when these things happen I would hesitate next time.

I bought a new car at another dealership I used their service on several occasions and had unfortunate negative experiences. I think it's because I've always gone to merit chev until I bought this car and the standards that they have there were so high it was my expectation going to another facility...At merit they dot their I's and cross their t's and I never go home after having a repair unhappy. I have learned my lesson and I will stick with Merit! Just make sure you always have good coupons and i will continue to be a happy customer!

The dealership is fabulous but the cost of the parts to fix a newer vehicle are outrageous. Our car is not that old and an element went out in the heated driver seat. The cost to fix is $375.00 which I find way too expensive.

My experiences with the service department have always beeen excellant. I request Dwayne everytime I come in he knows his stuff and knows how to take care of Merit customers. I can remember when Bruces dad was still around I had an issue he too new how to take care of his customers and apparently it rolls down hill. Wouldn't buy a vehical or have it serviced anywhere but Merit. By the way I live in Eagan so it is not like Merit is close to me but the travel is worth it. :)

Just came in for oil change and wiper blade change. Technician said I needed an alignment, which I did as well. Had two coupons sent to me, one birthday and one other. Told I could just one coupon, I had three services done, so thought it would be helpful to use more than one coupon for more than one service. Was told I could not, by two young girls who commisserated about this before giving me an answer.

It had been a while since my last visit to Merit as I purchased my current vehicle from Mauer. My truck had some vibration noise that I wanted to get looked at. I was under a bit of a time crunch and Mauer was unable to get me in. I placed a call to Merit and they were able to get me in at the time I was looking for. The service representative (I think his name was Brock???) was outstanding to work with. He was very knowledgeable and explained all of the options I had once the cause of the vibration was known. Great experience that makes me wonder why I went to Mauer in the first place. I will certainly be going to Merit for anything I need in the future.

I went in for an oil change and asked about my exhaust system which is partially apart. I was given a high estimate. My car is a 2001 with 177,000 miles. I asked if the apart area could be bolted back together. I was told no as only GM quality parts could be used and they would have to replace the entire system. I understand this. It is hard when you have older vehicles you want to keep running as long as possible. (I just would like to be able to have a conversation while driving.) I bought my car new from Merit back in 2001.

Bill Camden is very nice/pleasant to work with. He was dealing with another customer and us at the same time on a Saturday afternoon. He helped us pick out a car, and then was helping another customer. We waited in the pleasant child room with our two kids eating popcorn and watching a kid movie. He efficiently dealt with two customers at the same time. Once we bought the car, he explained all the features. He is very pleasant and knowledgeable. We always have great service from this Dealership from buying cars to maintaining our cars.

I have gone to 2 other chev dealerships for oil changes. at the other 2 dealerships in addition to the oil change and inspection they always washed the cars of the customer. I really like that additional feature. There was no cost for this service. Everyone at Merit were very nice and accommodating. I came in without an required appointment and was treated the same as if I had an appointment.

I brought one of the 2013 Malibu's in for a 5,000 mile check up. As in the past, I made my appointment with Jeff for a day that he was in. Being able to work with one service consultant makes me more comfortable. They know that you bring your car in regularly to ensure the best care for your car as you are looking for reliability. Jeff is the contact between me and the mechanic that works on my car. The mechanic may not know me, but Jeff does. He provides great customer service and I can call and talk to him even when my car isn't in the shop. I call him when I'm ready to be picked up and driven back to Merit. With Jeff, and only Jeff, my car is right outside the door for me to get in and go. I don't have to wait for someone to bring it from the back...I never had that before, it means something. Don't forget Joe and Greg, my drivers that bring me to my workplace and pick me up add a great deal to my comfort in working with Merit. They are personable, recognize me, and we can converse about everything and anything. It rounds out my service appointment on a pleasant note.

The computer in my car indicated one of my back tires was low on air. I came in to Merit Chev an air was added and I was told if the tire lost air again to come back in and they would look at the tire. In a couple of days, the tire lost air again so I came in without an appointment on Monday morning 12-16 and was taken care of right away. I was very impressed that the tire was able to be repaired quickly and without an appointment. Also, I was very pleased that the cost was very affordable. Great work everyone! I will let my friends know how well I was treated and recommend Merit Chev to them.

I was pleased that Brook was able to get Chevy to cover the cost of a repair that actually started when it was still under warrenty and a bandage is all that you did to it before. 6 months later my warrenty ran out and the problem was back. It should have been properly fixed the 1st time. Then while there I am told I needed another 1500.00 in repairs (2 tires - tie rods etc). So you hit me for costs anyways. I can say my sons (who are mechanics) were upset that I went ahead with the repairs. They feel I was taken advantage of. I am happy the work is done if it was needed. Just alot of cost I could not afford at this time. I am grateful to Brock for getting some of my repairs covered by Chevy. He did a good job, just worried everytime he called me and said something else was wrong. For all that was done on my car you should at least wash the car before returning it to the customer. My old car dealership always did that.

Merit did a great job. I was amazed that my HHR had so many issues with only 47k miles on the vehicle. I do appreciate that Merit lets me know that issues I have with the vehicle would be the same issue even if I had the item replaced (power steering motor)

Merit Chevrolet is simply amazing. When I came in totally panicked about having a nail in one of tires of the car, they took care of everything. They checked my oil and rotated my tires in addition to fixing the tire. I am extremely happy and lucky to have bought my car from the Merit Chevrolet. On top of it all, I thought I was going to be late for work and have to wait a long time because I had no appointment. They first told me it may take an hour, but they got done in like 45 minutes. Time went by so fast. I waited in the customer lounge, which is fantastic by the way. I made it to work on time. How awesome was that? I do not think there is any dealership out there that can top Merit Chevrolet.

Bought my car from Merit about a year and a half ago and have brought it in for routine service since then. Great communication from the techs during service. At my last service they came accross some unexpected repairs and were able to find me a loaner car in a pinch while they fixed it. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car! Customer for life!!

Hello, I just bought my 1st brand new truck at Merit Chevrolet and I am so happy that I just wanted to share my experience. In my profession I have used Merit Chevrolet for the past 14 years for my companys service work. I work with Mike Straley in Service. I have built a very good relationship with Mike and I truely trust his judgement when it comes to the required work it takes to repair and maintain our equipment. Mike is good people/A #1. I have saved my money and talking with Mike I have shared my desire to purchase a new Chevy pick up truck. I must admit that I am turned off by sales people. Mike told me that he would recommend that I speak with Ron Hogan. He told me that he was the person to speak to and so that is how I met Ron. Ron called me and we briefly talked as I explained what I was looking for. I told him I would submit my requirements and then we would talk. I went to the dealership and met Ron and from then on everything that he told me was right on. He showed me 2 different trucks. He explained in detail and addressed every one of my concerns. He also pointed out 3 different things that he would recomend and I added all 3. I shook his hand and said lets do this. From then on he explained when my additional items would be installed and everything went just like he said. The truck was prepared and I inspected it. Perfect!!! It was clean/fueled up and ready to go. All of the paperwork was right on. I could not have asked for anything better. I cannot explain in words how I felt as I drove my truck off the lot. Ron met us out on the lot where we were looking at chevy Implias (used) ,At this time they looked really great ,Ron Said I have the perfect car ,It was a 2011 chevy implia that wasn't quiet their at the lot yet ,(The car was his uncles) But the salesman that he is Ron pretty much sold that car with out me seeing it . Ron Hogan is very easy to work with and did a great job of helping us find the right vehicle color at a price we liked. He worked through issues with Florida to get the Suburban licensed there. I would definitely recommend this dealer and Ron to any friends that are interested in purchasing a car. I have been very happy with the service department in the past when they serviced our Yukon and Trailblazer and will continue to use them in the future.

I love going to Merit. I always try to get my vehicle serviced in the evenings because of Duane. He takes the time to answer questions and explain what is going on. If I don't stay and wait, he always calls to give an update and advises you of any additional work that may be needed. I prefer to go through Duane whenever I need answers or to set up an appointment.

I researched the vehicles I wanted online and found that Merit stocked a large variety of Chevy Sonics in the 6 speed manual, which is what I wanted. I emailed Jason on Sunday night, and Monday morning had an appointment for a test drive in a new Sonic that met my specifications. Jason quoted me a great price, as well. After my initial test drive I went to try some other vehicles, and Jason was thoughtful enough to follow up via text message with a couple questions I had, and proved VERY knowledgeable. I am the type to cram a subject for three days and then be a temporary "know-it-all". Meaning that in several situations I knew more about vehicles than the salesman did, but Jason proved quite knowledgeable and helpful.I actually returned later in the same day, but Jason was unavailable, so I worked with Jerry through the rest of the process. We went for another test drive that day, I came back the next day and we test drove yet ANOTHER Sonic, and decided to close the deal. Jerry was helpful and informative throughout the entire process. Getting the money from my bank took a couple days, and Jerry kept me well informed of progress, and even got me an additional $500 discount! When I picked up my car, Jerry gave me a great tour of the dealership, the service area, the waiting area (which is REALLY nice), and the Sonic I bought before I drove off.Everything about the process with Merit was great, from start to finish everyone was professional and courteous. I'll definitely be going back for my first oil change (since they pay for it), and will definitely take it back for warranty service thereafter!

My family has purchased 6 vehicles from Merit Chev, all from Ron Hogan. What we really appreciate about Ron is his customer service and friendly attitude. Always happy to see you and asks how he can help. This particular purchase was for my wife's work van. She does at home daycare for 12 children. The first issue was while we had a van in mind, Merit didn't have that type of van on their lot. Ron, says no problem give me the day and I'll see what's out there. Not even by the end of the day Ron called back with a van. Which was priced better then another van we were looking at and had less miles. Ron's just able to do those type of things for his customers. Look at the big picture of inventory available, and cut thru the bull with the other dealers that we'd have to endure ourselves. Another issue was we had an existing van to trade in but it was extremely difficult for my wife to make it to Ron for him to appraise the vehicle and show my wife the van he had found for us. Ron says, no problem, I'll bring the van to you guys and appraise your van while I'm there. AWESOME! Took the stress right out of the entire transaction! We signed the papers at home, done deal. It's obvious Ron loves what he does, and loves making 1 time customers turn into customers for life.Ron's customer service acumen was evident the first time we met Ron 10 years ago when we bought our first vehicle. We drive past a lot of car dealers, to get to Ron Hogan and I have no doubt everyone who deals with Ron respects his efforts, his integrity, and his customer service attitude. Thanks a ton Ron! I stopped by Merit to see what they would give me for a trade in on my truck. I've purchased vehicles from them in the past and always had a great experience. There was no made up numbers and back and forth trips to the managers office for negotiations. It was straight up with the numbers, making it painless. They offered me a very reasonable price for my vehicle, and found me a new truck with exactly everything I wanted. I would strongly recommend that you check with them when you are in the market for purchasing a vehicle. I'm sure you'll see what I experienced.

I feel the price I paid for my car was great and I don't think I would have received that at another dealership. Jay introduced me to Jason Ellis who handled the financing. Jason worked hard with my credit union to get me an amazing financing rate and also an unbelievable deal on the extended warranty. The purchase process went smoothly, with no surprises, and the pricing was fair and transparent. I also had some aftermarket accessories installed, and the service group did those timely and professionally. I was in the market for a used motorcycle. This dealership had 5 used bikes. Chris was very helpful and went out of his way to find out all the details on each bike. He even rolled one of the motorcycles off the showroom floor so we could start it up. Chris exceeded my expectations and was the absolute best sales person I have encountered in any dealership. Jason was patient and spent a long time showing options and operations on the vehicle. He set up our blue tooth for us. We were given a tour of the service department. I have purchased five new vehicles from Merit Chevrolet which gives some credit to my experience.I have ten years of work background from Volkswagen and Buick in service on a dealership level working as a journeyman mechanic, managing new car prep, warranty manager, and service consultant, so I know a little about service departments and sales.My opinion of Merits sales floor is that this group of people has a customer positive approach to car sales. It is always a good thing when you see that the sales floor does not turn over - you have the same people working as business managers. In my situation I am getting to know some of these individuals and they are nice people who want to do their best to find what you want, work with you to meet your needs and budget, not push what they need to sell. Of course the goal is to sell cars and make money, but "you" are the pay check, so they would like to give you a positive experience and see you come back and tell your friends to stop in. It's your money and they want you to spend it at Merit and spend more than one time. This group is working hard to be better than everyone else. At this writing I won't go to another make of car or dealer. The customer should not settle for less.The service department has been more than excellent. This is my area of past experience.Every effort and accommodation has been made to give me the most courteous, expedient service, repair and informational assessment possible. The body shop is the same. The parts department in the few instances I needed their help, also the same. They get a strong A+.The dollars you can spend at the dealer or your neighborhood service station are important. I believe you get what you pay for. I want the dealer car model specifically trained expert who has divisional car maker support and parts.

We had extraordinary service at Merit Chevrolet. Jason was very helpful straight to the point and very detailed in all aspects. Jason took the time to explain all details of the sale. Brad Beebe in finance also went beyond and above normal service. He was a great help and without his expertise the deal most likely would not have worked. After the purchase Jason again took plenty of time to go through the truck showing us all the bells and whistles. We have purchased a lot of new cars over the years this purchase experience was the most enjoyable purchase of a vehicle we ever had. Merit Chevrolet gets a A+++ from the Larson's.

Chris took the time to find me exactly what I was looking for, and he took the time to show me all the little things that came with my new car. The salesman Bill Camden was very knowledgeable about the Chevy Cruze his information about the vehicle helped me to make a quick decision to purchase I got the color red and all the futures I wanted his excellent service and friendliness keep me coming back to Merit. Our experience with leasing a 2012 Equinox was great. We had visited another dealer and were not too impressed so we contacted Reid and were very impressed with his knowledge of the financing and overall knowledge of the vehicle. He found the color we were looking for and equiped as we wanted. He kept us informed and the delivery went very smooth. We would definitely use Reid again for another purchase.

Im very happy with the customer service i had while purchasing my vehicle. It felt like jason cared on finding me the right car that fit my needs and making sure i liked it rather then just making a sale. I also like how they gave us a tour of the place and explained how everything works on my new car before i left.im very happy with my vehicle and i would recommend them to anybody.

No complaints - we were very happy with how everything went. We bought a used car, did not finance. They had a little play area with a TV for the kids. Nice touch. They also offered us a deal on future service. We went to a few dealerships before we bought--this was one of the better experiences. Low key.

Jay was great to work with. We initially started looking for a new vehicle back in August but decided we wanted to wait a while longer. When we decided we were ready we immediately called Jay and started the process. Jay was very patient through the entire process and never pushed us towards making any quick decisions and did not push anything on us that we really didn't need. The entire process from beginning to end went very smooth and made the car buying experience (something I typically dread) a very good one. We will be recommending Jay to everyone we know that is in the market for a new vehicle.

I ordered a new Suburban from Ron at Merit Chev. Everything went very smoothly from the day we picked out my options to the day it was delivered! I especially like how they keep you in tuned to what stage your vehicle is in at the GM plant through a website/email program! I would check almost everyday to see what status it was at and I would also receive email alerts when it moved in the next stage of being built. I would recommend Merit Chev to anyone.

I called the service department & mentioned Ron Hogan as my contact. Ron set everything up with the service department & Merit actually came to my work to pick up my vehicle & then Ron Hogan personally returned it & parked it in my parking spot in our warehouse!!! I bought my last vehicle at Merit Chevrolet and had service there many times in the years I owned the car. I always thought that their service was overpriced and I didn't appreciate that I always felt pressure to purchase more services than I had come in for, but at least they seemed to fix the problem and were overall polite. That all changed several months ago when I had an experience that cemented Merit Chevrolet on my boycotted companies list. I came in for a loud noise when the heater fan was on. I was assured that the problem was fixed after a rather expensive replacement of my blower motor and an incredibly inconvenient day and 1/2 without a car. When I picked up my car, the problem was not fixed at all, in fact nothing had changed. When I confronted them about this, the only response I got was "oops, we guessed wrong." They did fix the actual problem but I lost yet another day waiting around for this repair as well as more money. At the very least they could have apologized for their mistake, and I might have expected a discount on the second repair given how much of my time they had already wasted. I got neither of those, just a bad attitude. In frustration, I sent a letter of complaint to the manager. I received no response whatsoever. Apparently customer service is no longer important to them. DO NOT USE MERIT CHEVROLET SERVICE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The dealership was clean and looked professional. Matt assisted me with finding a car that fit my needs, and was even able to find a great used for for me on the lot. Matt was informed about the inventory they had on hand. This helped greatly, as I was looking for a very inexpensive car.

John met me on the sales floor and asked if I had questions which I did. He proceeded to answer them and offered to bring a vehicle to the front for me to see. I then drove the vehicle and he continued to answer all my questions. My current vehicle was being serviced (oil change) and he offered to determine what its' trade in value would be. We discussed the value and how it fit into the Kelly Blue book range. I then left with information to discuss with another family member. We came back a few days later and looked at another vehicle which better matched our needs and bought it. We had a 2 year old with us and everyone at the dealership was helpful as he "ran around" the floor. The process took a bit of time but we were happy and John was very professional the entire time...no pushing...just answering and handling all requests.

I worked with Jay both over the internet, on the phone and in person. He was very friendly, responsive, knowledgable, up-front and accomodating during the entire process. What really impressed me is that I was buying a new 2011 truck and the 2012 vehicle brochures were the only brochures available. Jay went out of his way to find a 2011 brochure so I would have the one that appled to my truck. Putting forth that extra effort - after the sale was done - means a lot to me and is a great reflection on Jay! I certainly appreciate his personal efforts!!

I saw an online ad for an Impala with a good price and stopped in to check it out. I worked with Mike Salmon and he was great. He was very knowledgeable about the car, knew exactly what he was talking about.......I know this since I spend weeks doing my research. Mike was low pressure, letting me decide which car to choose (they had multiple choices), not just what would get him the best commission. He was able to get me a great deal on the car and my trade in, without the pressure and sales tactics of other dealerships. After this experience, I will be back at Merit Chev (and find Mike) when it's time for my next vehicle purchase. Thanks for the great experience; it's good to know there are still honest car dealers out there!

I was treated great, not pressured, and had all my questions answered. Adam really went out of his way to make this purchase memorable. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Jason. My wife wrecked her car and we needed another one ASAP. I was happy with my last purchase so I went straight to Jason the same day of the accident and told him that my wife should be contacting him soon. I let him know what we were looking for and our price range. He got a hold a car with all of the options that my wife wanted and within the price range we were asking for. My wife loves her car! When someone does something wrong, everyone hears about it but seldom do we hear when we do something good - and thats my reason for writing this review. My Daughter Kali recently purchased a used Jeep Commander from Merit Chevrolet. She was home visiting from Fargo ND and decided to look for a new car as her car was in need of replacement. She was very excited about it and felt she got a great deal on her 2007 Jeep Commander from Merit Chevrolet. The next day she went to start it and it would not start. She called her salesman and he arranged to have the Jeep towed directly to a Jeep dealer as they would have any necessary tools to diagnose the issue. In addition, he gave her a 2011 Impala to drive. Later that day it was found that the computer was bad and it was replaced late in the day. Her salesman kept her informed the whole time and assured that she would have her Jeep back the next morning. The next day Kali was to leave to return to Fargo. She got a call from the salesperson at Merit and was told that the Jeep again did the exact same thing when Merit went to pick it up from the Jeep dealer. They told her that it would take a few more days to fix the Jeep, Her salesperson also told her to go ahead and drive the loaner car from Merit Chevrolet to Fargo and that Merit would figure out the rest once her Jeep was fixed and resolved. As it turns out, there was a problem with the aftermarket remote start on the Jeep, and a new factory remote start was installed. In all $2200.00 worth of work was done to the Jeep at NO cost to my daughter. In addition, the next day, Merit drove the Jeep to Fargo, 250 miles away, to return the Jeep to my daughter. Additionally, Merit has made two follow-up calls since then to make sure everything is working fine with the Jeep.This was a bad experience that was made good with exceptional stellar service and Merit Chevrolet should be commended for going well over and above what anyone would expect.I have purchased 2 new cars from Merit in the last 10 years I will back when I need another one.Thank You!Kent A. Great Service! Had my Trail Blazer in for much needed service bought new in 2003. Andy in service was very helpful! Provided me a rental while my vehicle was in he shop. While waiting for estamate from service department, talked with Jay in Sales, thinking of trading in my vehicle. However, ended up buying my teenage son a used car that evening. The used car had some problems very shortly after purchase. I talked with Bob in management who set us up with Andy in service, again fabulous service! Bob took care of everything no extra expense! I understand things can happen when buying a used car its what the dealership does about it that matters! Great Team!!

This is the second vehicle I've bought from merit Chevrolet in 3 years, both sales were facilitated by Ron Hogan . I feel he is a strait talking honest sales person,who knows the product and financing very well. He answered my questions about the truck I bought in very understandable terms. ( this is the first 4X4 I've bought ). I believe the loan officers name was Jason . He was friendly and efficient and their were no surprise add ons at the closing. I'll be honest I use to hate shopping for cars,I always questioned if I got a fair deal or not. I truly didn't have that feeling with Ron and the team at Merit . I will recommend to all my friends and family to call Ron at Merit when looking for a vehicle. And it goes with out saying that's were I'll go for my next Car.

We bought a truck (an Avalanche) that we loved, BUT it smelled smokey. Jason W. (our salesman) said they would use a cleansing process that would take the smell out -- he hoped. To make a long story shortER, after 4 tries, the smoke smell still returned, despite trying various removal methods. We HATE smoke smell!!!! Merit Chevrolet AND Jason were honorable. They let us return the truck, full price. We found another on their lot - though that was not a necessary part of the deal - and we are now driving a new, used Chevy truck. It's great. THANK YOU, Merit Chevrolet and especially Jason!!!

Mike Salmon was friendly and knowledgable. I bought the Chevrolet Silverado that I wanted at the price I offered. When I discovered that the truck did not have rubber floor mats as it was supposed to have, Mike got them for me in a few days. I am happy with the treatment I received from Mike and others at Merit Chevrolet.

We heard about Merit (Ron Hogan) thru freinds who had a GREAT experience buying a car. We came to Ron looking for a car (with the exception of a mini van) that would fit our family of five and possibly growing. He was very knowledgeable with the vehicles, timely in getting back to us and VERY patient as my husband and I went back and forth as to what car to get. We ended up with the Traverse, diamond white which we LOVE! Our experience was nothing short of GREAT!!!! Even walking into Merit, we were greeted with warm smiles and happy welcomes ;-) We will definitely be walking advertisements for Merit and Ron Hogan. We felt like royalty when we left in our smooth running, sparkling car!

We were looking for a new Travers. Adam found us the exact truck with the specific features and colors we were looking for. He also worked with us to receive a better price than the standard rebates. He is very friendly and professional. He searched all the dealers in the state and had our exact truck sent to the dealership for us to purchase. We would buy another new vehicle here.

We were in the market for a new Suburban and I have worked with John before, so I gave him a call at his current dealership, Merit Chevrolet. I set up a time to come in and take a look. He was prepared with several vehicles to show us. He had what we wanted in a 2011 used model at a substantial savings over new, so we bought it. WE traded in our old one(sold to us by John) for a fair trade and the deal was done. It couldn't have been easier.

I came to Merit looking for a SUV in trade of my 2 vehicle ( F-150 and Venture Van).Being a widow I had no need for 2 vehicles ans wanted to replace with something in the middle and not end up with a payment. I was able to get a 2007 Trail Blazer in great condition with low mileage at a reasonable price. I was also given a fair trade in value on each of my 2 vehicle and was able to leave with writing a check to cover a small difference, tax & license fees and an extended bumper to bumper warranty for 5 years. I was treated fairly and respectfully and my counter offers on price were respected and bargained with fairly. I already have referred people to go to Merit if seeking a fair quality deal. I also have reccomened salesman Bill Camden as agreat salesperson to work with.

I am very hesitant to bring my truck to a dealer, but I was having anti-lock break problems related to a sensor that had been recalled. It turned out that the sensors on my truck were after market parts, however, this did not confuse the technicians. After explaining the situation, they repaired the anti-lock breaks at no cost to me because it was a recall situation. I was always kept informed of the repair progress because Trevor and the technician showed me the actual parts that needed to be replaced. That was important to me since I do most repairs/maintenance myself. The overall experience was great because it was catered to my particular concerns.

In August, 2010 we drove into Merit Chevrolet looking for a new vehicle. We were greeted by a very energetic young man, Danny Dunaski. He asked what we were looking for - went in and got the keys and within 5 minutes I was taking a Chevrolet Equinox for a test drive. Danny was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. Danny was a very intrical part to us purchasing a vehicle from Merit Chevrolet. His enthusiam for his job and no pressure on us to buy the vehicle was a big plus. You can tell he enjoys his job. When I brought my vehicle in for some work, Danny let me use his car so I wouldn't have to wait for 2 hours for mine to be done. We came back in January and purchased a car for our son and yes, we dealt with Danny and he was just great, once again. We have called Danny on different occasions with questions on both vehicles and he is always friendly and very helpful. Although my vehicle did not qualify for the program, I ended up getting a fantastic deal. Danny knew that I was looking for a mini van to cart around my little ones and took me on a test drive. I purchased a 2008 Chevy Uplander from Danny Dunanski and it is working out great for us! It was affordable and is very reliable. I was unsure how the financing was going to work as it was my first time financing a vehicle. Danny was wonderful! He called me every day to update me on how things were coming and always answered his phone right away (or returned my call promptly) if I had any questions. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable experience! I'd recommend him to anyone that I know is looking to buy!

Danny was very helpful to me, as a first time new car buyer. He was patient with me and made sure that I was very informed about all of the cars before I made my decision. He also didn't try to sway my decision one way or the other. I was extremely happy with the great customer service that I received!

I had my son go to Merit Chev where he bought a 2011 loaded pick up truck.Dan Dunaski was the contact sales person.We told Dan we were looking at a Chev, a Toyota, and a Ford.We said we wanted to see a loaded truck, and test drive it. Then we were going to the other two dealers to do the same.Dan spent about four hours with us and one of the vehicles was the bosses demo.Then as we said we were on our way to the other dealers.We went to Toyota and did the same thing.Only they had me put $500 down to bring in the truck we wanted to see, and then come back tomorrow.We went back to Dan Dunaski and told him what we did at Toyota, he was then asked to get the financial manager and run some numbers so we could tell what the montly cost would be. By the way we told him that we more than likely would go for the Toyota.After another couple hours we had met all the folks on the sales floor, and met with the finance manager, and walked out with a very close estimate on the cost for the boss's demo.Dan said, good luck, I see you tomorrow when you come back to sign for this truck.We went to Toyota, got to see no truck, got a runaround why they were to busy to respect the $500 ernest money, and couldn't show us the top P.U. we were going to buy.We were outa there.Never went to Ford.Went right back to Dan and bought the bosses truck. It is a beauty!A week later, my daughter totaled out my Park Avenue.So I went right back to Dan, told him my needs. And walked away trading in my Saturn.I left with a 2010 Suburban and an Impala.I was treated honestly, respectfuly, and was openly communicated with.I tell every one who asks, Go to Merit, See Dunaski and he will take care of you!.If he is not there, don't worry-grab anyone they all will treat you well.The Sales floor is great, The service writers are awesome and go out of there way to help you. (I also have seven years past experience with working with Volkswagon and Buick as a journeyman, New Car Prep mananger, Warranty Manager, and Service Writer).So I judged Dan on his communication, conduct, and integrity towards us as potential customers. He did his professional job, and like the others I met there, injected the personal extras to be on the road to start a friendship not just a sale.So I think you get the idea, but if your not sure then you should go to Maplewood Toyota and drop some money on a top ride and wait till they are not to busy or put out to work with you, or did I mean tell you how its going to be at their convienince.Go see Danny at Merit, I guarantee it will be a good start.

Almost three years ago I went to Merit to trade-in my Chevy S-10 pick up for a 2008 Cobalt. It was during the first gas-price spike so finding the specific model Cobalt I wanted was tough. But Danny Dunaski searched and bargained and got me my brand new Cobalt from over 350 miles away! Plus gave me a great trade-in price for my S-10. I appreciated Danny's hard working attitude and friendliness so much that when I needed a used truck two years later, I didn't even think twice about working with anyone else. As someone who's loyal to the Chevy name and has tried different dealers, I would recommend Danny and the rest of the sales team for their value in their customers and the postitive attitude that makes you want to come back for each vehicle purchase you will make!

I recently purchased a 2009 Chevy Silverado from out of state. This dealership was very receptive to all of my questions over the phone and described my vehicle purchased exactly as it looked when I flew to see it. They were very personable and helpful when I came from out of town. Dan went above and beyond his job duties to help me with this purchase of this truck. He made the sale from out of state as easy as if I were right next store. All the paperwork was ready when I arrived and I was on my way home back to New York with in a couple of hours. The hospitality of both Dan and his dealership were outstanding. I would consider purchasing from them again in the future.

I went to Merit Chevrolet because back in August of 2010 my parents had gone there shopping for a new vehicle and they were helped by a guy named Danny Dunaski, they described him as non-pushy, excited about his job, and very friendly. When the went to go pick up their new car I decided to go with them to meet Danny, as soon as I met him I knew they were not kidding, he was very personable and knowledgeable about the car they were buying. In January of 2011 I was in a car accident and my car was totaled, my parents suggested calling Danny instantly, there was no doubt in my mind that Danny was the person I wanted to work with in finding what kind of car I wanted, I ended up getting a used 07 Impala. Again he was not pushy and let me test drive multiple cars before coming to a decision, he was very patient. I would recommend Merit and Danny to anybody looking for a new or used car or any auto body service. I also had to take in my car to get a dent popped out of the fender, and I did not have a ride to leave and Danny let me borrow his own personal car until mine was finished, I consider Danny a personal friend now, not just my car sales man.

He is very knowedgable about my Malbu and walked me through all the features on the vehicle. He made me feel right at home and I would not hesitate to send my friends to him for future sales. Danny went out of his way to help get me into my new Chevy Cruze. I was going through a Home modification and starting to have problems with my 2004 Chevy Colorado. It took a little patience and a few months to get done but Danny kept on checking with me in regards to how the Home modification was going to see how soon he could get me in the 2011 Cruze! as soon as the Home modifcation was approved I had my new car within 2 days!!! I love Merit Chev and gave them the best ratings overall because they deserve it. From the moment we walked in to the showroom, everyone there was so friendly and helpful but not at all pushy and I like that. I am very pleased with the price we paidfor the car. I have had my car in service twice and both times I was taken care of immediately and everything being done to the car was explained to me thoroughly. I have and will continue to recommend Merit Chev to friends & family.

Gaving dealt with the Merit people for many years, I highly recommended them. The people are knowledgeable, service is prompt and precise and the cars purchased have been reliable and efficient. The Merit folks also make service convenient and fast (including early/late service hours and a good place to read or work if one waits for the car). All around, it's been a fine experience.

Ron is a model salesperson who does not come off as the typical sales person that is pushing a sale. It really feels like he trying to match your needs. I work in sales and I hate being soldI like working with someone who sells like Ron who is patient and let's me explain what I am looking for. Others need to emulate Ronsstyle.

Merit does a great job, and I continue to return to the dealership for all our personal and company auto needs. GM Tom Krebsbach is straight up, fair and does what he says he is going to do. When there is a problem Tom and his team jump all over it and get it resolved, even if it is not in their favor. Follow through is a lost art in the auto business today, its nice to see Merit knows what it means.

We have purchased 3 vehicles from Merit in the past 1-1/2 years. Each time we were treated professionally all thru the process. As with all new vehicles, there can be some things that aren't working right and we call, make an appointment and they fix it right and on time. The service end is the real deal. The service people get your info and give you a card with their direct number. Also, it's nice that the cashier is close by and you can check out quickly

I have purchased my last 2 vehicles from Merit and have received excellent service. The process is so smooth and painless that I will never go anywhere else. After hitting a deer with my Traverse, I brought it to Merit body shop. They handled all the paperwork with my insurance and had it done very quickly! This was the first time using the body shop and can honestly say that I won't be going anywhere else for my vehicle needs. Merit is a one stop shop and I would highly recommended them to everyone.

I have never felt more trusting of a dealership in my life. I felt that they really wanted to understand my needs and my price constraints and supply me with the most cost effective option. I found this refreshing considering other bad experiences I have had with others dealers in the past. Merit Chevrolet really honors their name and merits my future support. You should try them too!

Service beyond service. There is nothing more important to me as a customer. Every car needs routine service, at some point they need repairs. Making this process easy and less of a hassle is important. Open late into the evening, loaner cars, and shuttle service makes service at Merit a no-brainer. Great prompt service and follow ups... I like the honesty and fair prices!!! I got a loner car didn't have to wait around, also washed my car when i picked it up. I been to other dealerships before non stand above the rest then this service center. I recommend merit to my family and friends. never had a bad experience in my 5 years going there!!!

I would recommend Merit Chevrolet based on their excellent customer service, knowledgable service department and courtesy rides to and from the shop are also a plus. Duane is one of the best service reps I have worked with. He will go the extra mile to make sure your vehicle has been serviced properly. He is professional when dealing with clients and explains repair services in a straight forward manner.

The only reason why I purchased my 2010 Chev Malibu and had prior/current auto service with Merit Chev is because of Duane Konieczny in the service dept. 5 years ago, I went through a divorce. My exhusband took care of all our vehicle needs. I had no clue on what needed to be done to service my vehicle and was extremely nervous going to the service dept as I did not know what to expect. Duane was the first person I spoke to when I pulled in my vehicle in the service dept and I cannot put into words how comfortable he made me feel through the whole process and continues to treat me the same way to this day. I make my appointments online and always make the note that if Duane is not working, to contact me so I can reschedule to a day he is there.

Awful, awful customer skills. So rude and treated me like crap because I was young, therefore I must be stupid in their minds. My remote start has not worked since I left and the way they repair cars compared to other Chevy dealerships is unheard of. I know this because I asked around at other dealerships. I am still not even sure they actually fixed the problem, but rather just turned off my CEL. I would not recommend going to them and I will never go back.

They screw everyone over, horrible dealership. I am a young mother and have a young 1 year old son. They seemed very friendly at the dealership I said I needed to bring it in to my mechanic and they said it was already checked out and they gave me the paperwork showing it from the mechanic, so I purchased it. By the time I got home it sounded like belt was squealing so I brought it in and found out engine is bad and the oil light and another light to the dash was disconnected so you couldn't tell anything was wrong with it. So to say the least I am having a battle with my attorney and bringing them to court over this I barely get bye now let alone buying a car with all of my money and for this to happen in one day and for them not to stand bye there cars or even mechanics.

On the good side, everyone was very friendly. However, after my experience I will no longer go or recommend this place. To make a long story short, I was their best friend before they knew how much I could spend and that I was not getting financed. They called me when THEY needed to know something but I could NEVER get a call back or other communication when I needed service.
