People are nice. Satisfied with the work on my car. The chairs in the waiting area are very uncomfortable. The Keurig coffee machine for customers does not work. When I asked about it I was told it hasn't worked for awhile and no other information was given.

I accompanied my wife here to trade in my old vehicle towards the lease of a new vehicle. Everyone here is extremely courteous and helpful. Jacob was an excellent sales rep and answered every question I had and displayed vast knowledge of all things cars. Eli was also very helpful with taking care of our paperwork and accommodating a vehicle service for our other Kia vehicle. The whole experience was relatively quick and completely painless, even for a car deal. Our concerns were addressed and expounded upon and we left confident in the choice of our new vehicle. Also I recommend you try the hot chocolate, it's breathtaking.

Super nice staff! Very personable & willing to help. Very knowledgeable. My only complaint is that they are severely understaffed, & I'm writing this so that the higher-ups can do something about it. Several times I went on over a 3 day period as they were working on my vehicle & I was told there was either no one available or only one person working per department. I hate it for those who are there working so hard.

My husband and I were given different prices multiple times and had come to an agreement on deal with all fees included. When we sat to sign paperwork- prices had changed dramatically and not only was it not what we agreed on, they ADDED FEES ON TOP OF THE INCLUDED FEES AND THEN TOLD US THAT THEY COULD NOT SELL US THE CAR FOR THE AGREED UPON PRICE! Salesman was friendly but business office people are dishonest. We walked. After two full days (9 hours total) of sitting at the dealership and discussing prices- they failed us. Waste of time and energy- shop elsewhere!

Last week my brother-in-law and I went shopping for a new 2016 Kia Soul. I presently own two Kias. A 2011 Soul and a 2013 Sportage, I am quite familiar with Kia products. I purchase a new vehicle every couple of years and interface with many dealerships. When we arrived we were greeted by salesperson Windell Hinkson. I asked Windell several questions and he randomly pulled answers out of the sky. Most of the answers were incorrect. I already knew most of the answers. If you don't know the answers, don't xxxxxxxx the new car buyer. Kindly tell him you will research the question and find the true answer. Windell needs training... Windell then asked my brother-in-law to rate his own credit score. It's none of a salesman's business especially when he was originally paying cash. He purchased a kia the next day which Michael got from another dealer. The price was substantially less. " Thank you internet." The savings was never passed on. The window sticker on this vehicle was lost, Wonder why? They paid $179.00 for window etching but it was never etched. Check the numbers (price) before you buy. Mistakes seem to happen in their favor. Again, I own two kias and none of them were bought there.

I bought a car around mid of last year. I recognized the service was better than most dealerships i had been too and made a mental note to give back. Better late than never.They have been good to me. Apart from the guy who pushed me too much to sign up because I had asked for a discount to signup right away because they had to make the July numbers.Cassidy was genuinely nice and patient with me. Answered the questions and was honest. I got a good offer and the car has been great. I went to them for regular services multiple times after that and experience has been good. They keep the appointment, are fast and explain everything to you before taking any decisions.

This was the worst customer service I had ever had. They were rude, pushy, and every time I tried to say no to car, I got disgusted sighs, glares, and eye rolls. They are by far the worst sales team I have ever encountered. They also refused to give me a moment alone to let me discuss me and my wife's options. We had been warned about this dealership from some other locals, and we should have listened! To top it off, one of the sales team members insulted my wife in front of us, and then proceeded to laugh. We won't be coming back, and we recommend that people don't waste their time.

I came in last week for there lottery drawing I got in the mail to see what I won. I came in and got the gift card abd was ready to leave but I was stopped by a salesman. Asked what kind of vehicles I was interested in, told them trucks and they show me a car, didn't ask if I liked it or anything before trying to push it on me. I liked the car but was not in the market for one. Next thing I know they tell me I'm approved and has switched my insurance to a car I don't even own! Wait to sign papers for 4 days. Never contacted me. Had to switch my insurance back and go back to get my insurance cards. No sorry or anything. Great way to take care of the people that fight for their freedom!

I drove from RI almost two weeks ago to look at a used car that was advertised on the website. I called ahead and the sales person assured me it was still available. When I arrived and met with the sales person, I was told that the car was not available to test drive because it was in the shop having some repairs done. I was offered a chance to look at a similar car that was on the lot which I did and confirmed that I was still interested in the original car. The wasted trip could have been avoided with a simple phone call back to my cell phone since it took me almost an hour to reach the dealership. I am sure they have caller ID available? The sales person then asked for my contact information so they could call me as soon as the car was ready for a test drive. It has now been nearly two weeks and I have not been contacted. I can see that the car is still offered for sale on the website. Yes, I could call again and make another appointment but I will not waste my time.

My daughter left money on a Soul and was told she could pick it up Saturday morning ,she's young and has great credit . I went there with her that morning and got the run around with the Sales Manager Todd I think he thought we were two very dumb people . The sales guy Jose was great I feel he lost a sale because of the manager . He lied and we tried to get her money back he told me he was the highest manager at the dealership and ripped the paperwork out of my hand and tried to muscle my daughter in the car ,I wasn't having any of that he told us that she had to go to the dealership with her card to refund her deposit , he said the money would go right back in her account . She went in and they took her card and refunded the money but didn't say it was going to take 5 to 7 days . I called and talked to a lady Sandra and she gave me the General manager I spoke with him for a long time he let me vent and told he told me he was sorry it got to that point , was wasn't this guy there Friday so we didn't have to deal.with that guy Todd we might of bought a car and Jose would of got a sale . Plus I thought Todd was the highest manager at that dealership !!!!! Dave gave me the head manager Michael and he and the GM helped my daughter out and we really do appreciate that . If you go there avoid Todd in anyway you can . Sorry Jose

BEWARE. This may be the worst dealership I have ever been too. The level of professionalism here is horrible. The manager Dave was yelling Italian slurs across the show room. He also made me feel uncomfortable being there like I was a piece of meat. The other manager is that's what you want to call him was not knowledgeable at all. I call back the next day to ask a question about the car I test drove, he pushed me off and said something about to many fingers in the soup. I will make sure no one I know will ever set foot in this dealership which I do feel bad because my salesman AJ was amazing. He kept apologizing for everything. My wife and I were very satisfied with the buying process and the closing and delivery as well. We initially made contact on the internet, and the internet manager was very efficient, pro-active, and professional from start to finish. The sales manager was on top of finding and securing the specific color and options we desired and showed excellent follow-through in getting it done on time to meet our schedule. The car was prepared perfectly and was waiting out front when we arrived on a Saturday. The sales person assigned to handle the turnover paperwork, the explanation of the many features on our Cadenza, and all other general questions was very well prepared in advance, and he was happy to stay late on a Saturday evening to make sure we had all questions fully answered. The business manager was very efficient, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant to deal with regarding the lease documents, and other related paper work. Overall it was a great team effort, and we were very impressed with the high caliber of this dealership. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who may be looking for a new or used Kia in the future. The facility was clean and neat and space allotted for business transaction seemed more than adequate. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best we would give them a10. Regarding the 2nd question below, we leased this vehicle. It was not a purchase.

I find that no matter when I call for an appointment I am always fit into their schedule and I can almost always get the time of day I request. They go out of their way to answer all of my questions and ask me if I have any concerns. I purchased my Kia Sorento at another dealership and they called me up to tell me they "TOLD" me they needed a good review. I tell everyone not to go there, but go to Michael Kia as they respect their customers!

My experience at Michael Kia was exceptional . I went to many other Kia dealers around the state only to find the same run around that all car dealers have . My sales guy Dave was very knowledgeable and gave me all the tools I needed ,and answered all my questions without the pressure of weather I would buy a car from him or not . That was one of the things that brought me back to Michael Kia to make my purchase . Getting a great car helped too ! The finance dept was VERY helpful too. Firstly I went to another dealer which was closer to our location. Their price was firm. They made no effort to help with incentives. They made no effort to locate a vehicle at another location and ship it to them. We then went to Groton. The salesman was excellent, along with his manager. The finance manager spent a great deal of time preparing the forms and presented them to our liking. I called the dealer today on a totally different matter and had no trouble contacting someone. No voice mail, etc. All in all, it was a very positive experience.

I dropped off vehicle for 30,000 mi check up, explaining some concerns with electrical (idiot lights on and power steering failure, both intermittently) Despite dropping it off early the service person explained they were very busy and hoped to get it in by scheduled time. I headed off for bike ride. I received a call that it was ready about 30 mins early, so I returned to pick it up. We reviewed findings/repairs/recall and I headed out. After leaving I called my husband to give update and he reminded me of the driver side rear running light failure, which I had forgotten to mention. I thought they seem to do a thorough inspection, I'm sure they noticed. Not only was that not fixed my sister mentioned the front running light was out also. Which leads me to wonder what else might get a automatic check-off by the computer printout. I am normally satisfied with both my car and this dealership. They are always pleasant and informative and attempted to correct the oversight ASAP.

My credit was not really excellent but not bad either. Average. I truly thought I would not be able to get a deal done for a car until I raised my credit score higher. I thought maybe another 2 or 3 years. I was in shock when Pasha and Richard made it happen NOW!! These guys are amazing at Michael Kia. They are so honest ands down to earth. My Salesman Justin was not only professional but he also has a great sense of humor. He worked very hard to "make the deal". He was knowledgeable in all aspects.I also dealt personally with the General Manager Bob who was committed to making sure I was happy. He actually called me personally to make sure everything was good. You don't really hear that too often where the General Manager takes time to follow up with a Customer. Being in the Customer Service business for a very long time I realize how important it is. All of the Staff at Michael's went above and beyond. My right wheel bearing broke a week after i purchased my car, Michael Kia "fixed it" and it broke again not even a month later. They "fixed it" AGAIN...Now i'm sitting at Karns Auto Shop waiting for it to get fixed for the 3rd time. Michael Kia is unacceptable. They claimed they fixed my right wheel bearing twice but they never did. Now i have to pay for it.

After checking out a few dealerships my buddy told me to see Joe at Michael KIA, My friend had a credit situation such as myself and Joe was able to help him out. I have to say Joe wasn't your typical pushy salesman, he guided me through my visit and made it less nerve wracking than my past experiences. (When I stop by the dealership later I will get his last name to pass it along). Anyway I purchase a used kia which was actually priced the lowest I could find on the internet which was surprising. I was obviously nervious something could be wrong with it but I looked up the carfax and had my Dad (a mechanic) check out the car and everything seems to be Great! Would recomend this dealership as well as my salesman.

Purchasing a car can be a horrible experience, were you can leave out having buyers remorse. However, my experience at Michael Kia was top notch. From the moment I walked in all the way to signing on the dotted line. Cassidy, was the first to greet me. He was very friendly, helpful and a great listner., I did not go with my first choice. I ended up visiting the dealership a second time and was greeted by Tim. I requested my down payment back and Tim was very understanding to why I changed my mind. He didnt try to push me or hold my down payment hostage. Because of his excellant customer service, I asked Tim if there was anything else on the lot that was going to fit my budget. Tim grabed a pen and paper and asked me to describe my dream car, and like a fairy god mother he made it appear and kept me in budget. I want to thank Julio for his excellant customer service and following through with returning my phone calls and making sure all my questions was answered . Julio was very friendy and like Cassidy and Tim very professional. I want to thank John for being very honest, welcoming and to the point. He was very helpful with helping me get the best coverage/warrenty for my preowned car. I want to thank everyone for being very welcoming to my family when we came to pick up the car. My name is Lou Anne, I went to Michael Kia back in September, found out I needed more money to put down so I then waited until today to go back. I have not so wonderful credit so I honestly thought it would just be a waiste of my time. I went back the second time to see Mr. Julio Gomes. Not only was he helpful and a upbeat spirit that I needed but I just woke up this morning realizing I'm a new car owner. He worked a lot of hours on this. Had started working his magic even before I had walked in the door already feeling positive knowing I wasn't. Somehow he put me in the car I wanted and then some. I will refer him to everyone I know. My husband and I went to drop off my Kia Sedona van and decided to look around. Jeff (husband) has wanted to trade in the van for a while. We love hybrids and you had one on the floor. Just what Jeff wanted. Not sure if we could afford one Cassidy Vaughn can over to introduce himself. He was very understanding how I felt about my van. He ran numbers while not pushing us to commit. He gave us room to speak to each other and didn't make me feel like he was doing me a favor. This is my 4th car that I have bought. Best experience by far. Will be telling my friends to go there just because of Cassidy being so friendly. I also believe in the Kia. Loved my van for 6 yrs., hoping for many years with this car.

We have walked out of a lot of dealerships over the years because of poor customer service and the typical run around people experience at dealerships. We have very high expectations of a dealership and Michael Kia met those expectations. Our salesman, Cassidy, was not pushy, didn't give us the run around and got us a great deal on our trade and our purchase. We didn't experience the typical challenges with him that we normally get from car salesmen - he wasn't trying to "sell" to us and he was personable. Normally when we sit with a salesman and start working the numbers, we are on the defensive because most salesmen we have sat with lie and make the whole experience a challenge. That was not the case at Michael Kia. In addition to having a good experience with Cassidy, John Majchrzak the finance manager, worked very hard to get us a great rate on our financing and because of his relationship with the banks he got us financed even though we don't have perfect credit.

Recieved several calls from Rafael at Michael Kia over 3 weeks time with news on used vehicles he thought I would be interested in. Michael Kia prices were always higher that book values and significantly higher than other local dealers. One vehicle that had been on there site for several weeks was reduced to a near reasonable price so I went down to look at it. The vehicle was fine but the offer they made on my trade in and the excessive fees they wanted for the privelage of buying a car from them was unrealistic at the least. I made a reasonable over for an older model vehicle I asked for a reasonable price for my trade in and as is normal I asked to have the documentation fees taken off of the asking price. All that I asked for is a reasonable business transaction. Michael Kia refused to bargain on any point and infact the next day they raised the priced of the used vehicle by an addition $500 dollars. Both Howard and Rafael were nice people to talk to but do not go there thinking you are going to get a vehicle at a reasonable price because they do not offer anything like that. They are located outside of a Naval base so they are probable accustomed to preying on saliors away from home with limited resources in the area who are forced to pay wehatever it costs to get a vehicle because most of thier expenses are paid by the military and thier paychecks are up for grabs by anyone who has something they need. Michael Kia is part of the Girard Auto Group so be on guard whenever you consider doing business with one of these locations.

Just when I thought the deal fell through, he stepped up and gave me more for my trade to put me in my new 2012 Mazda3 that I absolutely LOVE!!! It's nice to see that customer service has not died, and there are compassionate people still out there!! Matt was very professional, he told me to take my time, did not push me at all, and answered all of my questions. John was very personable and helpful, and prepared all of the paperwork very efficiently. Without the hardwork and dedication of Dave Williams, I would still be unhappy in my old car. I still cannot believe what he did for me, and I will not hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know!! The other week I discovered a leak on my Kia Rondo. I contacted "Service Bob" at Michael Kia who arranged that I could come in the next morning so they could investigate the leak closer. As the repair proved to be a full-day job, we agreed that I should come in the following week as I needed to get an oil change for my Rondo anyway. I suddenly had to go abroad and then "Sandy" passed, but three days ago, I got the repair done. Previously, I have only had Michael Kia do some "oil change" jobs (my reliable Rondo has never needed anything else), but whether it is a small, or as this time, a little bigger job, I have always drove off very pleased with the job the service fellows had done. It really doesn't matter whom you talked to at Michael Kia, everyone is so very friendly, from the lady answering the phones, the repair guy, or as last last time, the pleasant fellow who picked me up at my home to take me over to the dealership. I would warmly recommend Michael Kia to anyone who are interested in buying a Kia, or get their car serviced there. By Jove, I am already looking forward to my Kia's next oil change!

At this point in time I am working with the general manager on fixing the issues I have encountered with the Jeep. I will update this once a solution has been completed. I went into the dealership to purchase a used car and I feel in love with the 2010 Jeep Patriot and bought it that day and picked it up the next day. Once I drove out of the lot I noticed it made a noise in the front end when turning or going over bumps. I called Carl he said to bring it in and they would check it out but the service techs could not duplicate the noise. They kept the car for a few days because they put something on it that they promised to install in order for me to buy the car. I got the car back and the noise was even worse so I called Carl told him I do not want this car because they can't fix it. He asked to give them another try and I took it back in I took a tech for a ride in the parking lot and went over their speed bump and he told me he knows what it is that struts were bad. So I left the car again and picked it up a few days later and they said that it wasn't the struts it was the bushings so they changed those. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot the noise was there again so the next day I took it back to get a loaner and let them try again to fix my car. Unfortunately, the Jeep is still not fixed and David is assisting me on correcting issues and coming up with a new solution. I have to say that John who assisted me with signing all the paperwork is a wonderful person and very helpful. However, you need to read the fine print of equity for you as they have a fee of $399 to use their services and $195 for each debt they take from your account. Carl my sails person is a very nice person but he lets the salesman talk get in the way sometimes but he is a friendly salesperson.

I'm really on the fence on recommending the dealership to others. the service guy ignored the coupon that i tried to hand him twice before & after i got my keys back from having the oil changed. then he sent me over to pay and i handed him the free oil change coupon once again and said that i should have given it to him in the beginning which i did when i handed him the key fob for the car. i have worked in retail and this is not the way to talk and treat customers.

I was a little skeptical about going to Michael Kia as I had lousy experience before but this time was great. I was looking online at used cars in the area and saw one that looked good. I dealt with Cassidy Vaughn who is a great person to work with. He was very knowledgeable. I have not so great credit and was worried that I would not get approved. After I got all the information they needed they got me approved. When I went in and sat down with John Majchrzak I got scared because he showed me my monthly price. I told him I couldnt afford that and he said hold on. After he looked on the computer for a couple seconds he got me the deal I could afford it was $40 below what I could afford it was great. My husband and I sat in the dealership for 6 hours waiting.I brought my car there to be serviced and the workers were very rude they wouldn't tell me what they were doing to my car and when i went back 3 hours later to see if it was done they got mad because i was upset because I was basically stranded there when I live in another State and not till then did they tell me what they were doing to my car and how long the job was gonna take..So not for nothing but I will NEVER go back there nor refer anyone to that dealership.

I drove an hour to take a look at a car I saw online. During the test drive the car started whistling loudly from the engine and smelt like something was burning. It was obvious that the car was defective in some way. The manager tried to tell us that the car was about to be serviced and he allowed us to test drive it against his best judgement... however, the salesperson told us during the test drive the car had been on the lot for three weeks. The sales staff was not knowledgeable about the price of the cars on their lot and wasted time trying to show us their website. Not impressed.

WED last, I went in to have a leak in several tires checked as the indicator light kept coming on, in spite of filling and re-filling the tires. While at the service center, I had an oil change. It was indicated that the tires were low, but nothing else was addressed. I asked about the valve stems, answer was not evasive but I was leary. Yesterday, as my wife works strange hours, I drove, as it was our 39th Anniversary out to dinner. The tire indicator was on again. My problem is that the car will sit in a parking lot for two weeks. and I fear that I'll be dealt with several flat tires. Shall I call from the parking lot to get picked up or a truck come out with some air? What?

Our first visit to the dealership took over 4 hours, they were so short staffed that we were constantly waiting for the next person we need to speak with. We came up with an agreement on the trade, payments etc. At home we looked up the car on the Michael Kia site again and the car we picked out was actually going for $1,200 less than the price they gave us. When we brought this to their attention, they said it was a mistake on the internet teams part, but honored the price with the hitch that they would give us $500 LESS on our trade. We had to go back over 5 times to get all the paperwork together (they would tell us we needed xy and z...and when we would bring those documents than they would tell us they forgot we also needed a and b.) Finally, there was a problem registering the car, so they sent us home on dealer plates and said THEY would come to us with the hard plates. FOUR days after we agreed they would come I called the dealer and they asked me to come there to do it. Have had our car in service twice in the past month. Took forever to get anyone in service to call us back, problem has been brushed over repeatedly and never resolved.BAD BAD Service and Experience.

I bought a new Kia Sorrento and at purchase the salesman said the service dept could remove the side running boards "no problem". I made an appointment on a Monday to bring it in that Friday. I was told it would take about an hour and 15 minutes. Fortunately, my husband happened to have that Friday off so he was able to take the car in while I stayed home with our 3 kids. Well, he got there and they couldn't do the job b/c they didn't have the right parts, so they rescheduled for the following Friday. Of course that day was much less convenient for me, but I wanted it done. So, when I arrived at the dealer with my 3 young kids in tow, I mentioned the hour and 15 minute time frame and was told "oh no, it'll take much longer than that". Well, that was a problem because obviously I didn't want to spend my day with 3 kids at a car dealer. Plus, one had a birthday party and another had kindergarten visitation scheduled for later that day. There is no place we could walk to from there either....it's located on a busy highway next door to a strip club, so not exactly a "kid friendly" kind of neighborhood. I was then told someone could do it for me right away and get it done as soon as possible. Then Howie went to check to make sure they had all the parts (shouldn't that have been done already?). Of course, they didn't have one of the parts. The response was "Oh, sorry. What day can you bring it in next week?" Really? Obviously, no one has the time to spare to sit around a car dealer all day or wants to deal with the hassle of the dealership's shuttle service, but I drive around all day for my job so I really can't be without my car. But, of course I'm the one who wants this done and they aren't making any money off of me so they apparently don't care much about whether I'm a satisfied customer or not. Maybe that's why Kia's have such a great warranty....if something does go wrong the service departments are so awful you end up not even wanting it fixed?!?! We felt we were getting a good car at a fair price, but in the end you get what you pay for. My husband has driven an Audi for 8 years in 3 different states and any service we've ever had done (only regularly scheduled maintenance) has been absolutely no problem and they've always gone out of the way to make it as convenient as possible. So, while the car has been fine thus far (less than a month) I can tell you right now it will be my last Kia.

i have used michael on 3 different occasions 2 times for major body work (hit a deer) and then someone ran into me, they have always went out of there way to pick up my car, get me a loaner, call me just about every day to keep me informed, very curtious and friendly. this last time i had a problem with my ignition and it took a few days to get the parts , and they again called me daily to keep me informed, they offered me a loaner car, they cleaned the car inside and outside before i picked it up, they are just great people to do business with.also they sold me a great car i love my kia sorento.

My experience at this dealership was very poor, This is also my second time purchasing a vehicle from you. I bough a brand new mitsubishi eclipse a few years ago when you guys were Mitsubishi. I am saddened to say this dealership has been run completley down hill, at the end of this deal after all of the hassle, I just wanted to take the used car home and never associate with this dealership again. Nothing was organized or preparded ahead of time, Horrible communication!Deals were made that were not taken care of due to you Manager getting fired mid deal. The car was not detailed at all etc. Overall I was very dissapointed I chose this dealership to buy a car and do not plan on comming back or recommeding it to anyone.

I have taken my Kia Rondo for service at Michael Kia regularly since I bought the car two years ago. The staff is always friendly, and the service prices are very fair, I think. As I have only been there for service work, and not repairs, it's difficult to rate the quality of work. However, so far, my car is running very well, and I am very pleased. With the good customer service they have given me up to now, nothing is indicating that they deserve less than the highest rate!

I loved this dealership. I had some quams about going there because I had heard some things about the finance department. As long as you walk in, knowing what you want and what you will pay for it, they will work with you. They will try to play hardball, but they are actually really great once you say that price does not work. I think this was the most fun I had purchasing a car. Eddie, the salesman, was great. He had a fantastic personality and a great salesman. I did not feel pressured in anyway. He just wanted to give us the numbers and the information, so we could have a jump off point. Chris, the sales manager, was fantastic. He was really patient with us when we were going back and forth between Kia and the bank (we used our personal bank for financing and had a few hiccups). As long as you don't let up on what you want, he WILL make it happen for you. I would definitely recommend Michael Kia, but you have to be firm!!

I recently bought a new 2013 Sorento. It had a factory problem that was apparent shortly after purchasing the car. I had some unfortunate issues with the first GM I dealt with, but once I was directed to the right people, Alice at Antonino customer service, and then the new GM Peter, things went a lot more smoothly. I found them both extremely helpful and sensitive, despite the fact that I was very upset and I am sure at times difficult to deal with. They took my suggestions for customer service, and dealership upgrades seriously, and they have delivered everything that they have promised. The sales man, Matt Shirley was a really nice guy, and did his job well, and made my purchasing experience a good one. I think despite my initial problems with the first GM what the dealership needed was a fresh set of eyes and values and that is what they got with the arrival of Peter Keast. Now that my car is repaired and I am confident that it is fixed, I can safely offer my sincere apology to Alice for venting my frusterations to her, I could have been nicer. I would also like to say that I am now confident that if I have any future problems, they will be taken care of in a courteous, proffessional, manner.We are a military family and while I was disappointed by our initial treatment by an unprofessional GM, the matter was rectified as quickly as possible and Peter, and staff have made enormous strides to apologize and make it up to my family and I, and to prove that yes, Michael Kia does in fact support thier troops.

I recently had my 2011 Kia Sorento serviced at Michael Kia.I was greeted by friendly,knowledgeable service personnel (Tom) who answered all my questions regarding my first 15k mile service check-up. Tom also suggested the best time to bring the car in for future servicing, as well as passing along a valuable coupon booklet for my next service visits to keep my Sorento in tip-top working order. I discovered within 24hrs of this visit,my tire had picked up a nail,causing a "low-tire pressure" indicator light to come on. I was not able to re-visit the dealership until almost a week had passed. When I did visit back with Michael Kia, I explained to Tom the problem,and without any delay I was able to have the nail removed, the tire patched (without any cost to me), and I was on the road again, all within 20 mins time. I applaud Michael Kia for the terrific customer service they have provided to me in such a short time as a first-time Kia owner.

We really didn't think we would get approved for a used car the staff at Micheal Kia was sooo friendly and worked so hard to help get us into a car and understood how nerve wracking it was I would recommend this dealer to anyone very good service understanding and very low pressure which is what any car dealer should strive for .

We went to the dealership on a Sunday, just to "look" but knew we needed to replace the jalopy we had. They were open with a huge sale trying to make end of month quotas. At first I was hesitant to say anything because I wasn't ready to buy yet, though my fiance was. Big D came out and started talking to us. He was humorous and very patient as we test drove a couple cars and went back and forth on what we wanted and could afford. We took one home for the night and came back wanting the one slightly better (after running our numbers to make sure we could afford it, of course).The whole team was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Jimmy purposefully quoted us prices that were a little higher, so that when our credit came back better, we would get a sweeter rate and be happier, which is exactly what happened. (Great strategy, a customer never wants to hear the price go up). We ended up getting the first car we drove and love it. We were able to get in it at a lower price than we thought and got a nice price for our trade-in.We are very happy with our choice and the whole process. It was meant to be that we stopped by the dealership last Sunday. Thank you Michael Kia!

Its not very often that you here people say they had an enjoyable experience at a car dealership, but in my case I did. Nico was very friendly honest and helpful. He told me he could get me in to this car and he did. He and Chris were both so helpful and made this whole process painless. It has been quite some time since I purchased a vehicle on my own and they helped me with everything. Chris did a great job with the financing. He also set me up with automatic payments that will be taken out every two weeks which will not only help me pay loan off faster but will also help my credit. If it weren't for Nico I feel I would not be in my new car. He helped me with my trade in and took care of everything. I really appreciate how he understood my needs and didn't try to put me in a car I wasn't interested in. Some car sales men are too pushy and make me feel uncomfortable. He made me feel totally comfortable and is the nicest person I have ever bought a car from. This is a VERY SHADY dealership with extremely questionable business practices. I entered the dealership with a full cash offer to purchase a pre-owned 2007 Ford Edge for $13,200 with my 82 year old mother. In order to negotiate the price of the vehicle to a lower price, Jimmy Bletsch, the finance manager tried to convince me to finance the vehicle rather than pay outright. He told me that the dealership receives "kickbacks" from the lenders for a few hundred dollars and that would lower the price enough to make both of us happy. Then he said that I could pay off the "loan" after a few days and not have to pay more than a few days of interest. In the dealership's eyes, this was a win - win deal. I informed my salesman AyJay and Jimmie Bletsch on the phone that I was on my way to complete the deal, but I would be closely reading the entire sales contract to ensure I was not going to be charged a penalty for paying off the "loan" after only a few days or that the interest was going to be tacked automatically. Apparently, reading the contract is something they are very threatening to them.When I walked in the door after driving 40 minutes with my 82 year old mother to purchase her car, the General Manager, Jack Dias told me that they just accepted a deposit on the vehicle 10 minutes ago and the car was not longer for sale. Obviously, the deal was not going to pass the contract reading test and their scheme was about to be revealed. When my wife and I expressed our dissatisfaction with this extremely shady situation, Jack Dias yelled at my wife and told her "I am glad you are not one of my customers!" My wife then informed him that we would be reporting him and the dealership to the Better Business Bureau and spreading the word on the internet to remain clear of this horrible dealership. I am sure they have pulled the wool over the eyes of countless customers in the past with this bank "kickback" scheme and ripped off their lenders multiple times. If the banks were smart they would launch an investigation on the Michael Kia dealership, Jimmie Bletsch and Jack Dias!SHADY DEALERSHIP! STAY CLEAR OR YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!

I began my experience with Michael Kia online, at Edmunds, trying to poll some dealerships in a 100 mile radius (not the smartest move, but apparently so is relying on basic human decency). I was trying to release my current leased vehicle 3 months prior to the term's end and to pick up an Optima EX Turbo sedan.In my Edmunds summary, I explained my current monthly payments, what I paid down and what my monthly payments absolutely could not exceed. I admitted that my expectations were high and results may be limited and would have settled for a simple yes or no if there's no ballpark deal to be made.So I get a response from Rafael, the internet rep at Michael Kia, a dealership located 100 miles from my home. Rafael takes down some information, like the mileage on my car, what condition its in, and what the 3rd part buyout price is. I provide all of this with as much detail as I can, emphasizing my price range and my distance from the dealership. No problem, he says. It's definitely a reasonable price range and we'll work something out. When can we meet?I figure I'll try. It takes me an hour and a half, 100 miles and a quarter tank of gas to get there. At no point did I feel I wanted to leverage the great distance traveled in my negotiations, as going there was my choice to make and I had the respect for other human beings to not use that as a tactic.The trouble began as soon as I arrived. Rafael is friendly enough (and so is everyone there - I am not shooting down their ability to engage you as a customer) but has not done anything with the information I provided him. He introduces me to Ajaye (spelling?) who knows ZERO about how long I drove to get there, what my stipulations are or even what car I want to get.So I tell him (Optima EX Turbo) and there's not a single unit on the lot. Isn't this basic information something that Rafael would need to know and divulge before asking someone to drive across an entire state? The car I mentioned, repeatedly, is NOT EVEN THERE. Not just in the color I want or with/without options, but simply isn't available. A simple check would have saved a lot of time, money and mileage. So Ajaye tries to do the best he can, taking me on the lot to see if he can interest me in something else. I can't fault the guy, that's his job. Besides, I'm there already, may as well take a look. So we talk about a different trim of the Optima and he runs some numbers and comes back with a price that's more than $150/month more than my absolute limit. To be fair, if I could afford that trim with all its optionals, the price quoted when taking into account the MSRP and residual was actually very good, but still wrong.So Ajaye does the human thing and asks what brought me there, whether I mentioned all these things I was not repeating to him to Rafael. Yes, I explained. In very clear language. So he looks sympathetic and apologizes that I made the trip for nothing. We shake hands and I'm gone. No verbal apology from Rafael, no follow-up e-mail, nothing.I take all my encounters with car dealers with a grain of salt. I've been leasing for over 10 years and I know it's competitive out there and there is a certain amount of slack I will grant a guy for trying to sell me something I clearly don't need. But this was appalling. Not only was the price nowhere near the ballpark, but there was NO CAR TO SELL AT ALL and the dealer I was introduced to had NO prior knowledge, not even a hint, to aid him in finding a solution for his customer.This definitely takes a top 3 worst experiences ever spot. Good luck to you fine folks shopping there. If you live closer, maybe it won't be as bad. But I wouldn't even try dealing through their internet department. You may as well be talking to a wall, as NO information exchanged will be shared with the person who will wind up showing you the car(s).

I was putting off buying a new car because of the long amount of time it usually takes, and dealing with the sales people who are sometimes a little too cheery and come off fake. Rafael was easy-going right away. Greeted me and took me outside to look at a car within a minute. He even took me into the service area to see one in the light (it was 630pm when I went to the dealer and it was dark outside.) When I decided to try for the upgrade, it was my idea, not his, and he supported me all the way with the "dream" and the "back-up plan" if the pricing didn't work out.The price was great, and about an hour or so later, I was driving away in my new car.The best experience at a dealer ever!

While driving to New Jersey the day after Thanksgiving, I noticed that the alternator light on my Eclipse was on. Because this dealer had previously done an excellent job replacing the oil filter in my car when I lived in CT, I decided to try to make it to their shop. They replaced my alternator and had me on my way home in about 3 hours! A great place to go for repairs!

I wnet in on an appointment for a courtesy oil change ( as specified in my sales agreement ,obviously in writing) and they tried to charge me thirty dollars for an oill change that was supposed to be free. When I objected they became arrogant and said no way are you getting a free oil change,period. The service manager was the most customer unfriendly person I have had the misfortunation to face in a long time. I had been recommending this dealership and service department to a lot of friends( some of which had purchased from them recently) and defended them to at least one of the people who had a bad experience here. Well today was an eye opener, as I left I told them not to bother to get their demo cars out of the handicap parking spaces because I and none of my friends will be needing them. I shall persue all legal remedies against them for contract fraud that I can and will be recommending anyone else that reads this or asks my opinion to seriously consider other car dealers and other car lines.I shall not darken their doors again and hope others will heed this and the other warnings against such rude and flagrant violations of contract agreements.

I came into Michael Kia wanting to compare the Sorento with the Hyundai Santa Fe. By the time I left the dealership I had purchased the Sorento. Ajaye immediately engaged me in conversation and soon on to a test drive. The ride was great, the vehicle well appointed and a great value for standard included features that were important to me like Bluetooth and Satellite radio. Ajaye was made aware that I really wanted an excellent trade in value on my Acura TL, which was still in very good condition despite 95,000 miles. He fought to get me a value that I was pleased with. The financing worked out well and I was even able to extend my warranty to 10 year bumper to bumper in addition to the power train warranty of similar length. I was able to seal the deal on the initial visit and am now the excited owner of a brand new Sorento. Ajaye and Michael Kia really advocated for me and got me a great deal.

First let me say that my experience with Ajaye was a pleasant one. He is a fine sales person. My problem lies within the Business end of it. I found that the sleeziest tactics were used at a time when it was too late for me to back out of the deal. My paperwork revealed a $2000.00 downpayment when there had been NO discussion of a downpayment of any type. Therefore, my payment became a bit higher than quoted but I had already signed papers and could not get out of the deal. I found the management to be rude and extremely uncaring regarding customers once they drive off the lot in a newly purchased vehicle. I will not have any work preformed at this dealership and will go elsewhere for service. When I expressed my desire to cancel the deal, I was invited to exit the dealership and was adamently denied cancellation. Although I do like the vehicle I purchased, it is far less quality than what I traded in. I only had my previous vehicle for 4 months but really didn't care for it and wanted something more the size of the Optima. I am NOT happy with the fact that there are no heated seats, which for me creates an issue due to severe spinal problems. It seems that I was kept from perusing any stickers that are usually placed on the windows. They conveniently hide that information from the customer. I believe that every dealership should take lessons from those at Central Auto Group in Plainfield, CT as they are the best folks I have ever dealt with when purchasing a vehicle. I will NOT return to Michael Kia.

I am writing this review in regards to the wonderful Service Department at Michael Kia. I do not even own a Kia, I own a Lincoln Town Car. My experience with the Service Department will definitely keep me coming back. Shelly is very informative and has great customer service and communication skills. The technicians are excellent when it comes to diagnosing a problem on my vehicle. Everything is explained to me and also well documented on my paperwork that I keep for service records on my vehicle. The Service Department at Michael Kia is a very hard working team and I highly recommend them to anyone.

I never owned a KIA before & only had Toyota cars/trucks but I was disappointed w/ the work I had to keep repeating with my 2008 van, so my husband and I decided to look into our options. Right away we got greeted with our sales guy Nico...I'm kinda of stand-offish with sales guys and I tend to put a wall up right away...but I have to say after talking to him I soon realized he wasn't pushy and he kept asking questions to fit a car with us to suit our needs and not wants knowing we are a 1 income family & can't afford anything super expensive. He was so laid back and easy going it was easy to sit and talk to him. After we decided on our car we went in for our paperwork & we realized it was going to cost us more monthly then we wanted the sales manager and finiance guy did everything they could to lower our payments for us to feel comfortable. We ended up with a 2012 KIA Sorento and I have to say I will NEVER go anywhere else. I am so happy with my car and I give Michael KIA 5 stars!!

This was our first service with Michael Kia and Shelly the Service Desk Attendant made sure that I knew exactly what was going to take place. We purchased a 2012 Kia Sorrento in August and we loved the car so much we quickly put the first 3,000 miles on it. I called in the morning to see if I could make an appointment for that day and they said "come on in" which was nice with my busy schedule. I was greeted by Shelly who told me what would happen, the overall inspection that would take place and that they would look for any recalls on the car everytime I came into the dealership (which is a nice feature). Also she advised me on how often I should bring the car in for service and the value of bringing it into the dealership.What I liked most about my experience was the efficient, friendly and professional manner of the staff at the dealership. My car was serviced in about 30 minutes and I was given a complete report on the work performed.We have recommended this dealership and Kia model to our friends and family.

Let me start with a special thanks to Shelly Petreccia from your Service Department.I had my 2003 Kia Sedona in for a Diagnosis for the engine light on and the vehicle was stalling.Also a squealing noise coming from the engine that was driving me crazy.Once the Diagnosis was completed I needed a cam sensor and a variable induction valve replace to start.I also needed what they thought was the A/C compressor that was locked up and not moving that was making the squealing noise and come to find out it was not the A/C compressor it was the crank & pulley bolt apart.They replace crank pulley with a new one and problem resolved.Saving me over $300.00 extra dollars.That I did not have thanks for being honest and working with me to pay the bill.Michael Kia in my opinion treated me very fair and I would recomend this dealer to anyone. Regardless of Auto Brand, there are good and bad dealerships (and private service shops). I am a senior, so I have had the many experiences with dealerships, some good, some bad. Prior negative experiences were with the Chevy dealer in New London, the Kia dealer in Old Saybrook, and a now defunct Oldsmobile dealer in Middletown.Michael Kia is a good dealership and I do recommend their service dept. The prior Kia dealer in New London (no longer in business) was also a very good dealership.Ray Aronson

I went in for an oil change and the drain plug leaked oil in my driveway for almost a month before I noticed it so I had a big circle of oil in my drive. Also I needed to make another 30 minute drive to the shop and wait around for them fix it. They said it was a bad gasket on the drain plug. They did get me an appointment right away but I think it was preventable if the mechanic had just inspected the gasket before reinstalling it.

Service Department extremely accommodating, called on Monday at lunch time and got in Tuesday morning for our initial servicing of our 2011 Sorento. Also received a call the following day to see if we were satisfied, and we were. When we purchased our vehicle a few months ago, our salesman Todd Raymond, is extremely knowledgeable about the whole Kia line, and really feels that Kia is an exceptional vehicle manufacturer. I had asked them to adjust windshield wipers on my 2007 Kia and was told yes they needed a small adj but it would be $25. I had oil change and emissions recall done. I bought my vehicle from them and had it serviced from them but it was dissapointing that they did not make me feel like they knew me or cared about me coming there. They were nice but I felt there was no connection.

My Mitsubishi Eclipse was towed to this dealer when my timing belt broke. The service department performed a diagnosis and told me that the car needed a new belt and head cylinder, the cost would be $2400 for the repair. Not being able to afford this expense, I decided to have a local mechanic look at the car instead. It turned out that I only needed a timing belt and a new sensor. The cost of the repair was only $800 including labor. This dealer also charged me $434.00 for the diagnosis - which was incorrect. They were going to charge me $2800 for an $800 job! Aside from feeling ripped off, my GPS system was stolen out of my car while it was at the dealer. I contacted the manager about the situation who in turn told me that there was nothing he could do. DO NOT do business with this dealer! They are theives and will try to rip you off with repairs that are not needed!
