I purchased my Subaru from Mike Shaw years ago and have consistently continued bringing my vehicle back to their service department with any and all my concerns always being taken care of by Tim D. I live in Texas and whenever I go back to visit family in CO, I will go back specifically to Tim, to have any work set up, and completed, because I know it will be taken care of 100% and there won't be any repeat visits. He is very knowledgeable and friendly every time! The whole front desk employees know what they are doing for sure! I appreciate all the hard work and constant satisfaction I get from the service dept front desk AND all the shop employees too! Thanks again!

I shopped around for quite a while looking for a rather hard to find Outback Wilderness. Eric Grimm not only located one in a reasonable time frame, but got me the best pricing as well. Financing was quick and easy. No joke - in and out in an hour. They probably could have done it quicker if they weren't so busy. I'd definitely come back.

I had such a great experience! I was out of the state and put an inquiry in on a Sunday. I heard from Eric right away and he helped me put money down to hold the vehicle I wanted until I was able to come in.Eric was proactive and when I came in, he had EVERYTHING prepared for me! Including a test drive, I was in and out in 1 hour and 15 minutes! Everyone was honest and upfront, I in no way felt I was being swindled or tricked. I had an amazing experience and would recommend this dealership to anyone I know.

I recently worked with Eric Grimm at Mike Shaw Subaru when my husband and I needed to get a new car. Our schedule is always a little hectic, and we had a camping trip coming up, so the times we could come in to test drive were tight! Eric was SO gracious and helpful. We sent him a list of vehicles and he had them pulled up to the front so we could just jump in and test drive them without having to wait. He was also very honest, which we appreciated. We ended up leaving with our very first Subaru and we're very pleased. A huge thanks to Eric and the team at this dealership! I have been taking my car to Mike Shaw Subaru for a few years now. Previously I had been to other dealers thoughout CO, but these guys are by far the best! Their customer service is excellent (Stephen is the best!!), they are great at explaining things, and I always feel confident that they are taking good care of my car. Cliff and the team made things easy. We came in test drive a 2017 Forester and then all of the pricing communication was done over email. Price was great and Cliff made pickup day very quick and painless. The guy selling the "maintenance package" sold us very hard, but wasn't too over the top. Cliff explained all the features of the car which was very helpful. Loving the car so far, thanks Cliff!

Stopped by to order a new key for my car on 8/9 and was told it would be in on 8/15 so set up service on the 16th. Called on the 15th to confirm key was there (they had told me they would call when it came in but never any call) and it was not there and they could not find the order. Cancelled appt. for the 16th, Paul said he would reorder and it would be there in three to five days and again told they would call when it came in. Still no call so I called this morning and was told yes it was there so I asked to be transferred to service to schedule appt. Left message for "Tim" who still had not called back this afternoon at two so called again. Spoke to a very nice women but could not get a appt. that fit my needs until 9/20. Not acceptable but then after escalating my concerns Jonathan (service manager) stepped in and got me a appt. that ft my needs. Next Kathy took over and she could not have been more helpful and lovely. Will call her directly when I need help again. Take home message if things aren't going well move up the chain because the dealership really wants you to have a good experience.

Cliff is an excellent salesman and everyone made the whole experience very easy, fun and pleasant. They made a great offer on our trade in. The Forester arrived by train a day early and Cliff surprised me with having the windows tinted and clear bra installed before I got there. He installed the cross bars on the roof rails and had the all weather mats and cargo tray in the Forester too. He had it washed and gassed up too. He showed me how to use all the electronics: Starlink, Sirius and even paired Bluetooth with my phone. All the people at this dealership are awesome, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this dealership and look forward to having our Forester serviced by them.

If you're in the market for a new Subaru, Mike Shaw is the place to buy it! I desperately needed a new car but was on a limited budget with my heart set on a Forester. Cliff Swaim patiently worked with me and got me into exactly the car I wanted at the payment I needed. In fact, the deal was so good that I was able to add a 24-month service plan without significantly increasing my monthly payment. Stephanie was very helpful with my questions about the repair for the airbag recall. She gave me a time estimate and explained the way she arrived at it and gave me new information about the influence of humidity on the defect. She also helped me find resources that could tell me if my previously owned car had come from a stat with higher humidity.

I recently bought a brand new car from this dealership. Customer service is not their top priority. Once they make a sale, they no longer care about you. I had my windows tinted at the dealership, and the tint job came back full of bubbles. I asked them to fix it and when I got my car back the second time, the job was still not done well. At this point they refused to do any further work. At first they tried to put the blame on me. When I proved them wrong, they implied that I was being too picky. When I spend thousands of dollars on a brand new car, I expect quality work and good service. With several other Subaru dealerships in the area, I would recommend checking out the other ones first.

My Subaru Outback is nearly 3 years old now and I LOVE it! This is the first time we have purchased the dealer maintenace package and I'm so glad we did. Today's cars are so much more complicated than the ones we used to drive (we are in our 70s). My most recent visit was for the 37000 mile routine service, the last one on my 3 year plan. I was thrilled to see every item checked green - not one problem. But the nice thing is there was no pressure from the staff (Dustin and Stephanie) to try to upsell any unnecessary product or service. Seems like when we go to some generic service companies they always find something else that needs to be done other than what we came in for. I love the friendly, considerate, non-pressure service I receive when I take my Outback to Mike Shaw service center. I will be continuing to bring it in even though my maintenance plan has expired and I will be paying out of pocket.

Don't shop here - This dealership had the exact car I was looking for, I was ready to purchase within a half hour of entering the dealer, had a deal, ready to go. Three and a half hours later, I was finally able to meet with the finance manager to sign the paperwork. Ridiculous! My car was promised to me the following Monday by 4:00 (was having two options installed). At 3:45 as I literally was walking into the dealership the salesman called to tell me my car wasn't ready, and wouldn't be until the next day. I had just spent over 2 1/2 hours sitting in traffic to get to the dealer. Ridiculous again! My husband had talked to the salesman at 1:45 and he was told everything was on track for 4:00. I was given a filthy, loaner car that smelled like smoke and sent on my way, after I was told there was no possible way to get my new car that day. This, after I sat at the dealer for another 45 minutes while they supposedly tried to get the job finished. Very disappointing experience, I should have gone back to Groove Subaru where I had an excellent experience 6 months ago when I purchased another car.

First of all, I love my Subaru. I recommend them to everyone. The woman who sold me a car was fantastic, but she's no longer there. The finance guy sold me a maintenance package, which I was pretty excited to have, until I realized that I can only go there and the service people aren't happy to help me. They don't return calls, they don't make eye contact, they are generally terrible people. Except for Matt, he's great. I mentioned to him that nobody inside the office would even look up at me, and he was super helpful and friendly. One big complaint: there was a screw in my tire, so they tried to sell me two new tires, as "it could not be fixed." I took it over to the place where I bought the tires, and they repaired it for free, and saved me a bucket of cash. I hate having to take my car there for maintenance. I would never buy a maintenance package again, just for that reason.

I went into the dealership after exchanging several e-mails with Cliff. He was a pleasant surprise and his disposition wasn't your typical car salesman. He listened to what I wanted and asked what was important to me. I'm not one to jump into quick decisions. I really didn't feel pressure to buy and left and actually talked to him on the phone with more questions. Needless to say I went back in the following weekend and purchased the car I had always wanted. I took my mom in she loved him. She has said that you don't find many people like Cliff and that's a big compliment coming from her. I can say he's called several times asking if I have any questions and I appreciate him following up with me. I feel he really changes a person's perspective about car sales people. If you are in the market for a Subaru I definitely would recommend Cliff!

There was no pressure to buy an in stock car when I indicated that I wanted to order and the time frame I was looking at. The delivery session was outstanding. Cliff went over all features of my new Outback to insure that I was comfortable with using the features that I was not already familiar with. My ABS system had an error that was not allowing me to move the gear shift out of Park. I took the car into Mike Shaw Subaru located on 104th Avenue in Thornton as this was recommended by Medved in Wheatridge where we purchased our 2014 Subaru Forester. I had a great experience from the greeting at the service counter to the end where they fixed my Subaru and even did extra work. The mechanic Tim Sutherland not only fixed the ABS system that was under warranty, but also took time to complete an alignment that was also under warranty. He noticed that there was inner tire wear and proceeded to correct this by completing an alignment since it was still under warranty. He also replaced my windshield wipers that were also under warranty. What a great service!! Now my Subaru is ready to go!!

Saw them advertising 1996 Ford Explorer for $1947 and printed the ad and drove my 2000 Nissan Pathfinder including the Car Fax and Blue Book for my vehicle in case decided to trade. During the test drive I told the salesperson that my Blue Book was $1500 as a trade and $2500 on the private market and had the paperwork. So in my eyes it was an even trade especially considering the Ford needed tires. We got back and I told Victor take my offer to his Manager. He came back with... $2396 and they take my Pathfinder. In other words I Give them my Nissan. No mention of the $500 credit for tires. And the price on the Explorer was suddenly $2047 ! Not $1947 from the printed ad I printed that morning. I asked Victor is he realized ow absolutely rediculous he sounded. He explained tiled and taxes and I turned him around and said tell your manager I will pay you $500 for your taxes and titles etc. or I am out the door. he came back with... $1636 or something similarly insulting and I walked! Motto: "Everyone drives away". Should be "Everyone Keep Driving! " The raised the price $1000 when I had a printed ad in my hand! Shame!

I am a returning customer to Mike Shaw with 4 other vehicles being purchased. Went I went in on 1/1/16 to trade in our Outback and getting a 2015 or 2016 Outback, I was extremely disappointed as the sales rep Gabe seemed annoyed when hashing out the deal.First, it was mentioned if we traded in our 2015 Outback trade in value would be $24500 if we purchased another pre-owned 2015 Outback. However, when we mentioned we want to buy a 2016 Outback instead due to better value, trade in value was lowered to be $22500. Shouldn't a trade in value stay consistent regardless of what vehicle is being bought instead of bait and switch technique?When I asked the sales rep to give us the worksheet so we can compare with other dealership, he quickly took away all the worksheet and stated its company policy we don't give out worksheet if you want to compare number with another dealership.I will not buy another vehicle through Mike Shaw in the future and will not refer anyone there either like I did in the past. I have never had issues with Service Dept though with all our vehicle being services over the last 7yrs. Sales area needs to see significant improvement.

Family and friends have purchased cars from Cliff and have had the same great experience we have enjoyed every time we have dealt with him. He is a true professional and a no BS salesperson. We are Subaru people and will never buy a car from anyone but Cliff. If you want a great, fair, no pressure experience when buying a car, you should call Cliff.

My daughter went to buy a 2015 Subaru cross check from Mike Shaw Subaru. I negotiated the trade in of her car with the salesman on the internet. Agreed on a price and advised him I wanted NO EXTRA SERVICE WARRANTY'S OR ADD ONS. He agreed and I advised my daughter the deal was made and she only had to go in and sign. When I got the copy of the bill of sale, there was a $5,198 service contract added to the price. It was not an extended warranty, it was for the 3 years that the Subaru warranty was in effect. It was for oil changes, wipers etc.. It was BS. When I called to complain, I was told they could not speak with me as my daughter actually was the buyer. To get them to cancel the warranty, I had to get an attorney involved. We were advised the credit would go through in 3-4 weeks.It took 2 months and only after the Managing partner of the dealership helped out. He was the only one who took care of this. Very bad way to do business and would never recommend buying a car there.

The sales rep was fantastic, great service testing driving and buying. The financial guy on the other hand was terrible. I can in to get a great car. I don't need the finance guy using scare tactics to try to get me to buy a warranty package. The finance department should give you a great deal to start with so that you feel compelled to protect your new car.

The folks at Mike Shaw Subaru are doing a great job. I walked in and spent less than 2 hours in the dealership from start to finish. I negotiated and found my best price online with Shane and then when I went to do the financing they beat my banks rate by over 1%!! Could not be happier with the experience we had at Mike Shaw. Our salesman Cliff was amazing. Hands down the best and most knowledgeable salesman we have ever had at any dealership. Cliff took his time with us and was very patient with everything we asked of him. Cliff even left us a little something in the car that we found a couple of weeks later that put a smile on our faces and just reminded us just how good of a guy he is. Thanks Cliff. ;-) We also purchased extra accessories that had to be put on by the service department after our purchase. The service department was also excellent. Between three of us in my family we have purchased six Subarus from Cliff Swaim at Mike Shaw Subaru over the last several years. This really is a great dealership: no high pressure and good people. Cliff is awesome to work with; he listens, he respects what you say you want and he is just generally a nice guy. And the service department is the best. I always ask for Dustin. We were Subaru fans before we moved to Denver. Once we got here, we worked with several Subaru dealers (with service needs) and then we discovered Mike Shaw Subaru and we are now Mike Shaw Subaru--and Cliff--fans.

I was so fortunate that Clifford Swaim was the one to answer an online question I posed. In the weeks to come, he offered information and answered more questions, but never tried to push me towards a sale. When I was ready to buy, he answered all my questions and was always sincere and serious about the purchase. But the best part was after the sale, he made sure all of the extra add-ons were installed in 1-2 days and stayed in contact with me the entire time. Just a quick note to let folks know that Mike Shaw offered my wife and I a positive experience. After visiting a number of dealerships on "car row" in our neighborhood, we stumbled across this dealership. That day, we had been chased by salesmen on golf carts, offered may questionable claims about certain vehicles and had legitimate questions deflected by other dealerships. Wandering around on the Shaw lot, not knowing much about the current Subaru line-up, we were greeted by salesmen Cliff Swaim. He seemed friendly and answered some cursory questions in an open manner. He let us both sit in different vehicles and gently explained some features (not pounding hype and bling like we saw at other dealerships). He offered us test drives in a couple of vehicles and, surprisingly, did not talk our ears off during the trips around the neighborhood. He could field some technical questions and explained some unexpected features. My wife and I were potentially looking to replace one car, but then pondered getting rid of both our cars for new Subarus. You might think the random salesperson might go manic at the prospect of selling 2 cars at once, but he calmly explained some options and gently worked the deal. This guy even showed me around the service department, offering consult with a team technician. Wow. He was receptive to offering some reasonable incentives, too. Bottom line: Cliff was able to seal the deal and we drove off the lot with 2 new cars. He was willing to dig around the lot to find the right option package and make a deal that did not leave me feeling like I just sold part of my soul. Since then, he has offered support, consultation, and followup. I don't need to comment much on the cars themselves ('nuff said: love 'em at 10k miles now), but I believe it is rare to find a dealership and, more importantly staff, that is willing to get folks behind the wheel, roll with any twists in the deal and still offer a sense of a relationship after the sale. Kudos to Cliff and the rest of the team at Shaw. BTW- Awesome coffee/hot chocolate machine!!!

But for whatever reason, I could never get hold of the finance guy who was working on my loan application for approval. I've called several times a day for three days and also emailed him several messages but he never return my calls nor have the courtesy to let me know either yes or no on the loan approval from the bank. I was purchasing a car for my son who currently resides in Denver. Being that I am located in Naples, FL it was difficult to be there in person to help. I contacted several of the Subaru dealers in the area and Johnathan was the first one to reach out to me. My son and I have been researching Subaru for a while and were pretty educated on most of their vehicles. Thus, have a knowledgeable salesperson was important because we were still not sure what vehicle best fit my son. We were also in need of someone who would not be afraid to negotiate. I bought an Impreza Sport in 2013, and had a super easy process with Cliff Swaim. Cliff and I stayed in touch, as he would answer any q's that came up. I have always given his name and that of Mike Shaw to friends looking for vehicles. Then, this summer, I decided I wanted to upgrade to the Crosstrek. I called Craig and talked over several scenarios with him. He gave me pros and cons for each option, and never pushed me in one direction or another. In the end, he made me a screaming deal on a new 2015 model, and coached me on how to sell my Sport myself. I really mean it when I say that I feel like I was working with a friend!

Alex E. lured me over to the dealership telling me she had the car with all the features I had been looking for. I went over after work (104th and I 25 is not an easy place to get to during rush hour), took the test drive and went inside to bargain and found out the car did not have ANY of the features I had been promised. Total waste of two hours and then I got to drive home in more rush hour traffic! Mike Shaw lost me as a customer forever.

I was able to make a deal remotely (coming from California to Colorado), told them the bottom line number of what I wanted to pay and they immediately agreed. Beth & John were both dope and when I came in to buy, it was a simple signing of documents. Afterwards, John went out of his way to put on my roof racks since the detail guys forgot to, and e-mailed me a few days later for the Eyesight reflash. When I went in for that, the service guys were the COOLEST and got me in and out.

This week we had one of our cars completely die, leaving us in need of getting a new car A.S.A.P. We knew we wanted a Subaru and we were interested in the 2016 Forester. I was recommended by a friend to contact Cliff because she said he was the best! He didn't disappoint. We needed a car, and we needed a car fast! I contacted Cliff late in the evening on Tuesday and he got back to us promptly Wednesday morning and we were able to come in and test drive that evening after we got out of work! He stayed late for us which we GREATLY appreciated! We originally went in thinking we would finance and buy the car, not lease. However, the payments came out to be a bit higher than we had originally anticipated. I know panic struck my fiance and I at that point because we were in desperate need of a new car! Then Cliff talked to us about leasing and how that could help us with payments and how we can still buy the car after the lease ended. he thoroughly explained in detail everything about the lease (a lot of information we were unaware of) and made us feel at ease. By switching our original plan from financing to leasing we were able to cut down our payments and save ourselves unneeded stress! Cliff was extremely professional, kind, and welcoming. He was thorough in explain every detail not only about the lease, but about the car as well. This was our first new car purchase and he made it easy, and we understood everything that was going on. Cliff knew we had a rental car and the color Forester that we wanted wasn't on the lot; he was able to locate the exact one we wanted and he was able to get it delivered the next day when we could pick it up so we didn't need to extend our rental car. When we came to pick it up he went over last minute details with us and explained all of the booklet information. He even helped me set up my iPhone to sync with my new car! Cliff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and that we felt comfortable with our decision to lease. Although we spent all of our time with Cliff, all of the other staff members were extremely friendly as well! When we picked up the Forester i wasn't aware they were a dog-friendly facility until Cliff told us to bring our puppy in! I loved that! A huge thanks to Cliff and Mike Shaw Subaru for making this experience excellent! We will definitely be returning for all of our car maintenance and to purchase another vehicle in the future!

I just purchased a 2015 Subaru Forrester from Mike Shaw Subaru, Thornton, CO. It was the best new car burying experience I have ever had. Cars.com led me to Mike Shaw. I was able to find the exact vehicle I wanted, Vehicle, Color, Style, Package. I sent an enquiry on line about my choice and was rewarded quickly with a call from Mike Shaw's On Line Sales Manager, Clifford D Swaim. We negotiated a price that worked for me and Mike Shaw Subaru in a professional and courtesy interaction. My salesman, Clifford D Swaim, qualified me on line for the Subaru offering of 0% for 48 months. Since I was 200 miles away, I was unable to get to Mike Shaw for a week. Mike Shaw held the car for me and took care of adding a tow package as I had requested. I arrived at Mike Shaw Subaru and the Lobby was abuzz with activity. My Salesman got right to the paperwork and I was able to complete the process in a very short time even though there was a lot going on. It was important to me that things went expeditiously as I had another 200 miles to drive to get back home. The car buying paperwork was a breeze. I chose the amount I wanted to finance based on what I wanted to pay per month. Mike Shaw Subaru went the extra distance with me to ensure that I was checked out on my new Forrester. My Forrester was clean, had a full tank of gas, and was ready for my departure. We had my cell phone paired up with the radio before leaving. All my user orientation questions were answered and It was a thrill driving my new Forrester back home. This great experience did not end there. I received follow up from my salesman after arriving home to ensure everything had gone well for me. I traded in a leased vehicle and the dealership failed to pay off the car traded in. Nor did they call the leasing company to let them know the vehicle has been surrendered. Now, the account is past due and affecting my credit. The dealership is saying we have inconvenienced them. Watch out for liars and people who don't care. Not only do I have to pay for a car purchased by Mike Shaw but also a car I no longer have in my possession.

We became interested in Mike Shaw Subaru from online search showing that we could purchase a new 2015 Impreza for less than most used Subarus with 30K to 40K miles on them. Having to drive over four hours from our rural home to get to the dealership, we were hopeful that our buying experience would be effortless. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and professionally by Dominic who made our buying experience pleasant from the start. He immediately offered us a cool water to make the 100 F day more bearable. He quickly ascertained our need and interests and showed us the to car that we had seen our online research. Upon understanding that the vehicle was for our college-bound daughter, he began directing his questions to her. He chose a test drive route that was less intimidating to a young, rural driver, which allowed our daughter to pay attention to the vehicle attributes rather that the hectic suburban traffic. After the test drive, the financing proceeded effortlessly and was completed in less than one-half of an hour, during which Dominic and several other sales associates continually asked if we were comfortable and if there was anything that we needed. Dominic and service department had the vehicle ready to roll out of the dealership as soon as the financing was finished. He then took the time to explain all the features and intrumentation on the vehicle. Dominic was courteous, friendly, professional, and respectful through the entire process and we left the dealership with our new Subaru in just under 90 minutes. We never felt rushed, pressured or overwhelmed during the process. Dominic called three days later to inquire about our trip home and our satisfaction with the car. He also asked if we had any questions about the car, service details, or our buying experience. It is refreshing to see such outstanding service in a world that very often focuses on speed at the expense of taking care of customer needs. I would highly recommend Mike Shaw Subaru to others who are searching for a reliable vehicle and a dealership that values integrity as well as the customer.

Emailed into the dealership about a Forester and a price I had got from another dealer. The internet guy John H. said he would match or beat it so since they were about 5-10 minutes from me I thought Id go there instead of across town. When I asked for numbers in a hard copy form he wanted an email with the number I gave him. Ok like I lied? So I copied and pasted the email with the number minus the guys name who gave it to me.. He replied and said he needed the full body of the email and not just a portion of it. I said no, Im not ratting anyone out with names so he took the deal off the table and said there was nothing he could do. Ok, well I dont play games so from now on, will be going across town to another dealer to buy in which I promptly did as soon as I got the email. Kinda sad considering he said he'd match or beat it only to retract it. I will not be using M.S. for my car needs anytime soon or in the future. Good luck with those tactics. They werent a hit with me!

Sad to say, this particular dealership has failed horribly. I bought m car last year, '14, and was treated like gold. Best experience I have had in 20+ years so with that kind of treatment I took my wife there one year later as a repeat customer and I was literally shocked at the experience. In the end she was approved for 27k and the dealership repeatedly pushed for a higher model. The salesman was the most annoying con-man I have ever spoke to. (first name Shane) He had the same make of car as her, and the stories he had about what they do. He wouldn't acknowledge me at all trying to push different models on her. We brought a different approval from our bank and then they upped the car model again, and the payment. I couldn't believe this moron. I have two weeks of texts, messages and un-returned calls from them in my phone. So disappointing how Mike Shaw in Northglenn Co turned out to be. I hated having to drive 20 miles out our way so she could get what she wanted, with a much more kind experience. Definitely wait for a turn over in staff. Dealerships have them constantly. I am posting this July of 2015. Good luck if you choose to wonder into this facility.

Horrible service overall. I bought my car 3 months ago from mike shaw it currently has 2,900 miles and it has broke down on me 4 times now. They have checked my vehicle 3 times, keep giving it back like theres nothing wrong with the car and the issue persist. Everytime i go pick up my vehicle their so called technicians make me feal like terrible like if im the bad guy, trying to tell me how i did this to the car and making stuff up that would cause the car to stall, as if im the one causing the vehicle to break down. I tried asking for help. Even trading my 2015 wrx for another 2015 wrx at mike shaw where the car was purchased and there solution was to rip me off even more. I was pleading for help because i got a defective vehicle and they didnt care. They told me to get my payments to 509$ what im paying now they wanted 10,000 down or 3,500 down and monthly payments of 620$. i still have the paper where they qouted me these prices.They only care about money. They already got my money once and their trying to get it again twice as bad. These people have absolutely no consideration that im having issues with my car. They just want more and more money stay away from these thieves. To top things off they dented and scratched my car while it was being serviced. I just had my car towed to shortline subaru. I have my fingers crossed this is better service. I hope you read this review before going in to buy a vehicle here. Stay away even if you have to drive a little further it is so worth it. If only i wouldve known before buying a car here.

I spent the weekend doing my research and looking online. I went in on a Monday knowing what I wanted to pay. I worked with Jon Haul. After months of online research and visiting local competing dealerships, I chose Mike Shaw Subaru. I ordered a 2015 Outback equipped just the way I wanted it. I saved thousands of dollars over the prices quoted by the national chain's local dealers, and the car arrived from the factory a month earlier than the quoted delivery date. Everything about the car was exactly as it was ordered. It was the most positive car purchase experience in the 40 years I have been buying cars. I dealt with John Hull throughout the order and purchase process and was impressed by his straight forward communication - no BS - and his knowledge of the product. Working with Timmy to buy our eighth (yes, that would be 8!) Subaru last Saturday was great. We knew what we wanted (our third Cross Trek in the family), and what a fair price was. The only variables were interest rate (seriously our daughter got 1.49% for a four-year loan) and trade-in value for her 11-year old Legacy. We were thrilled with the interest rate, and pleased with the trade-in value. And, the process was pleasant - none of that sleazy back and forth that is so irritating at some dealerships. Tim was respectful of our time, and treated us like valued customers. We would do business with Mike Shaw Subaru again in a heartbeat.

We bought a new 2015 outback paid cash, took a week to get it,while they all ready cashed our check. Got the car and do love it, however, the voice command does not work properly. Kept putting us off saying there was a conference going on about that feature. Finally got it in to the shop so they could look at it. works better but still not right, and really can't seem to get the customer service promised when we picked up the car. Our daughter also bought a new 2015 forrester, put half down Jan. 1, 2015 and was promised a delivery date of Jan. 5, 2015. They were going to get the car from a sister location.? Did not get the car yesterday, now they say the car is still on a truck hadn't been delivered to sister location. That is not what she was told. Jan 6 now and still no car.??? Her first time buying a new car and all the fun has been taken out of it. By the way she doesn't know yet when she will get the car. Think we want our money back.

While looking for a new vehicle we reached out to all Subaru and Honda dealers in our area and asked for their best price on Outback Premiums and CR-V EX-Ls, respectively. Jared from Mike Shaw got back to us within a few hours and quoted us an excellent price on two 2015 Outback Premiums in our preferred color. He did a marvelous job of clearly explaining the different packages over the phone when I asked, after another Subaru dealer we visited had incorrectly told us what each package contained and which features were available together.The prices Jared sent us were significantly lower than the couple responses we'd received from other Subaru dealers, and we felt comfortable going in to Mike Shaw without waiting for additional quotes. We ended up buying a fully-loaded 2015 Outback Premium and we love its features and its all-weather package. Stylish, high-quality car.Jared was exceptional in every way: friendly, informative, efficient, professional, and he had a good sense of humor. He continually went out of his way to make sure all of our questions were answered and that we had everything we needed. We bought a used car for my son. We took it to a mechanic to have it looked at. They did find that the timing belt was in really bad shape and ready to break at any time among many other issues. Which you can expect some issues buying a used car, but the major ones like the timimg belt is a serious issue. I took it straight back to the Dealership. Talked to a manager because my salesman Johnny Vitale was gone for the day. Told him what the mechanic found and that I wanted it fixed or to return the car. He told me i couldn't return it because the loan papers had already gone through. I argued the point w/ him and they reluctantly agreed to fix the timing belt . However, the next day my salesman Johnny Vitale called me and said he wanted me to be happy w/ the sale and wanted to know what i wanted to do. Did i want a different car or get this one fixed or what would make me happy. My son liked the car so i asked to get it fixed. He did get the timing belt fixed as well as several other things that it needed. I also want to add in the beginning when i told him where i wanted to be w/ the price range and for no more than 2 years, he made it happen w/ our trade in and the cost. I definately recommend asking for Johnny Vitale if you go to Mike Shaw. He goes the extra mile.

Bought a 2006 Grand Cherokee 2 weeks ago.... Worst deal ever! After a few days at home I find bondo in the rear & front quarters, hail damage that doesn't show until the light is just right... $500 worth of painless dent removal and it is still beat to xxxx! Won't shift into 4x4 low. Made them fix this, but they tried to sell it to me like that! They did the brake pads but left rotors that are out of tolerance. Now I take it to my maintenance guys & $750 worth of front end repairs... lower ball joints & 4 tie rod ends... Front differential mounting bushings are gone... another $500+ fix. NEVER BUY USED FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They will sell you crap!

I have just ordered my fifth Subaru, the fourth from this dealer, and from Cliff Swaim. I have nothing but good stuff to say about the cars, the dealer, the service, (Kathy was great) the salesman.They just deliver a superior product and they tell the truth, and do the job. When I knew I wanted another car, I drove six or seven other vehicles. My friends were laughing, when I said I would trade for the same car again, teasing me I was part of a "Cult" sticking with the same exact car again, so I gave it a shot. I drove all the competition. Nothing matched the car, of course. And since I know these folks, why go anywhere else. Another Forester for me. What more can I say. I will be back again in another five or six years.

When I was approached by Matt Stephenson, I told him what I was looking for and the price I wanted it to be in. There was no hassle in buying just any car like there can be at other dealerships. He gave me what I was looking for and the timing was impeccable. From the time I walked in and drove out, it was about 2 hours. Done! Mike Shaw needs more Matt Stephenson's at the dealership. Mike Shaw Subaru, located in Thornton, is selling fraudulent pre-certified vehicles to unsuspecting customers. I purchased a 2011 Legacy from them last Saturday. The oil light on the car was on when I took it for a test drive. The salesman told me not to worry. After purchasing the car, I had the Subaru mechanic at the dealership check the oil and it was 1.5 quarts low, so he filled it. The next day I noticed an oil leak. As I was returning the car to the dealership, the engine blew out and I was stranded on the side of highway 66 in Longmont. After being picked up by a tow truck and driven to the dealership, I spoke with the GM of the store, Dan Pham. When I stated the facts to Dan and told him I was reporting the dealership to the State Attorney General, he threatened to screw me out of $22000 and not give me a refund. He also threatened not to give me a refund if I did not remove my complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After agreeing to move the negative comments, he gave me a refund, but refused to give me a loaner car or arrange for a ride for me to my job in Fort Collins, so I had to walk 50+ miles to my office down highway 25.

I'm not a big reviewer, but they are apparently powerful so I thought I'd share my car buying experience with Jamie.When I walked on the lot I had a good feeling about her. She was helpful, non-aggressive, and you could tell she wasn't trying to rip you off. I really appreciate that. I came in to look at a 2001 Subaru Forester and she took me and my friend for a test drive to get a feel for the car. We sat down so I could decide if I wanted it and we walked through the carfax. It was in great shape and you could tell the previous owners took care of it. Instead of her focusing on the price aspect (i.e. It's a great deal! You have to have it! Priced to sell! Someone will come in and take it!), she talked to me at lengths about the safety and quality aspects. She wanted to sell me a good car that I would feel safe and comfortable driving in. I'm really happy with it. As part of the negotiation, the check engine light was on in the car and she arranged for the mechanics to take care of it right away. Nothing was wrong with the car, it was just an old sensor that needed to be replaced ($500 value!). She fixed the sensor, detailed it, and shaved a bit off the price in order to cut me a deal.The car buying experience was pretty good if you ask me. I just have to say that Jamie really cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to make sure we walk away happy and satisfied.

I worked with Jose for about a month on a car I planned to order. Out of the four dealership, Mike Shaw had the cheapest price. About a week after I received my pricing, my car died so I needed to bought a car off of the lot instead of ordering one. I called the number provided by Jose and got his voice mail. I stated I was planning to buy in the next few days, cash in hand and to call me back to setup an appointment. I never heard back.....this cost Subaru a sale as I bought a car from a different brand.

Sept 2013 I decided to buy a new car. After a quick internet search the Subaru came up as filling all my needs. I never drove one before and yet it had good gas mileage, AWD, good looks and it was the right size. Keith K. greeted me as I arrived. He proved to be very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, honest and sincere. I was also impress with the quality and safety of the Subaru vehicles. He told me the first time I drove on wet pavement; I would fall in love with the Subaru. He was right, as I drove from dry to wet pavement it felt like the car lowered itself down and gripped the road like no other car I have ever driven. We made an appointment to see a car we saw on the internet. When we arrived, we did not like the car. Cliff mentioned leasing so I decided to listen to what he had to say. I did not decide to lease, but I did leave that night as the owner of a brand new Forester that was on the showroom floor. He was honest and very easy to work with. There was no pressure and he did not promise anything he could not deliver. I got 2.9% financing and an awesome car. Cliff got a customer for the rest of his career. I have sent one other person who was in the market to buy a car from him. He was not in so they did buy a car. Their experience was good, but not great like ours was with Cliff. Thanks!

It had the extras we wanted, and was in the color we wanted. Kieth was a gentleman, and was willing to stick with us for a long time until we decided to buy the car (it was our first new car). Mark, the finance consultant was also very knowledgeable, and respectfully taught us a bit about how the car buying process works, and what financing a car is like. I started my search online. Found a vehichle that looked like what I was looking for. Sent an email and when I did not get a reply, I called and spoke with Jennifer. She was very nice but could not promise I would be able to negotiate a price over the phone and recommended I come in. Next I got a call from Steve who again answered my questions re: the condition of the tires and the maintainance of the vehicle.When asked if the price was negatioable, he stated his boss would be alot more willing to negotiate if I came in person. I called him back and stated I did not want to waste his time or mine as I live quite a distance from the dealership. When I told him what I wanted to pay and that I would not be willing to even come in and look unless I knew my price was possible. He called me back quickly and said it was definately workable so I scheduled a visit for the next day. After 1.5 hours driving in stop and go traffic I arrived. Steve was not available to see me so I got Domonick who very nicely pulled the car around for me to look at. The car was dirty, outside and inside, the air conditioner didn't work, the back of the back seats had tears in them and there was a broken light in the front of the car. None of that information was given to me prior to me coming out and was not visible online pictures. I was not expecting a brand new car but was expecting the beautiful used car I saw on line that was in good shape as told to me by the sales staff. Needless to say I did not buy the vehicle. First impressions mean alot to me and when the car was not even clean for me to see, well that was the beginning of a lost sale. If I was to make any suggestions for the sales team it would be; be honest with future purchasers as to the actual condition of the vehicle and have it cleaned and ready when they arrive to test drive. I felt like my time was wasted and would not recommend my friends to that kind of service.

I did not take my old Subaru or the title of the car and arranged for my daughter to go with me. I was really going to 'run' if the salesperson was pushy and didn't listen to what I wanted or needed. I was lucky to get Keith Traczynski as the salesman and at the end of the day, found myself leasing a 2014 Subaru. Keith's easy going style made the sale! He got me to a good place and in a newer model. I purchased my car from a gentleman named Dominic. He was very professional. I did not want to purchase my car on the spot and insisted on coming in the next day. He came in on his day off to make sure the sale went as planned. I purchased a Subaru Tribeca with a 2 year warranty. 10 days after purchasing the car it broke down (later to be discovered, my idling pulley broke). I had the car towed back to the shop. The warranty covered the part. Since it happened so soon after my purchase, the sales department covered all costs that i would have had to pay even with the warranty. The car was repaired and back on the road the next day. Over all, being 20 days out from my purchase, I am happy with it. I do not feel I was deceived or misled. The follow up customer service as well as repair was very pleasing.

Despite my inclination to cancel my test driving appointment, I went into Mike Shaw Subaru and met with Chris Conway on a particularly snowy Saturday here in Denver. Chris was helpful and friendly; not at all pushy or aggressive like some car sales people. I was hesitant to make a decision, but they worked with me on my trade-in and came up with an amazing deal on a really nice car- a 2012 Subaru Legacy. I would definitely recommend them again. The paper work and accompanying financing was relatively quick and painless and they were very efficient throughout the process. I would probably still be driving my 11 year old car if I had opted to go to any dealership besides Mike Shaw.

I went in on Saturday because of some great leasing deals. I test drove an impreza and went back on Tuesday and left with my new purchase. Dominic showed me some other cars that I may be interested in, and seemed genuinely concerned that I find something I would really like. He ended up getting me a great deal on a 2010 Impreza, and I really appreciated the way he fought to make sure I got my money's worth. My husband and I made an appointment to come into Mike Shaw Subaru to look at used cars. We brought a Ford to trade in and felt the trade in price was fair. The staff was friendly and professional. We test drove a few vehicles and asked a lot of questions. Shawn and Cliff were able to answer all of them and didn't put any pressure on us. They were knowledgeable, professional and made sure we were getting the information and car that suited our needs. We drove out in a new Forestor and were completely satisfied with our purchase and experience. Marc in finance was equally professional and knowledgeable. I have heard horror stories about walking in and out of dealerships just to get a price or car that is suitable. We didn't deal with this at all. The staff were honest and actually cared that we were satisfied with the service and products. Cliff has called to follow up since and we are happy with our purchase as well as the level of care and service we received from everyone there. I would highly recommend this dealership and will return if I need another car.

I have purchased my last 2 cars from Mike Shaw Subaru. A 2006 Outback Sport and my current 2008 Impreza WRX STi. From the first time I walked into Mike Shaw, everyone has always been very friendly and courteous.During this specific visit, a "Check Engine" light has came on in my STi. I called and spoke to Ryan Smith, who stated that if I stopped by after I got off work he'd read the code for me for free. The code came up as a "System Too Lean" after we looked at this, he asked me a few questions about how the car had been running recently. After the brief discussion he stated that as the car had been running fine, and this can sometimes be caused by a brief bit of gunk on the fuel injectors or some such, that he could clear the message and if it comes back he'd make an appointment to get it looked at further.Couple days later the light came back, I called him that morning and Ryan was very diligent in working around my schedule to make an appointment and provide me with a loaner. When I dropped my car off Dustin checked me in, as Ryan was caught up on a phone call. I had dealt with Dustin before, and he also has always been very nice and understanding. The problem turned out to be a MAF sensor going bad. They advised to replace it, which they did.However, they quoted me a price of just the part, not adding the labor onto it. When I picked up my car the honored the quoted price they had provided me and did not charge for the labor.Mike Shaw is one of the few places I trust with my car when I'm not able to perform what ever maintenance needs to be done.

We were waiting for the release of the 2013 Subaru Outback. We visited this dealership to see the new model. We were impressed by Jose's professionalism in answering all of our questions and we felt no pressure in buying our car that day. My husband and I discussed it and decided that we would definitely buy our car from Jose that day. Everyone was very friendly. We agreed on a price and everything went very smoothly. We brought our car back for the clearcoat bra and tinted windows. That was also done very quickly. I think I was most impressed by the way they contacted me after the sale. I had an email from the Sales Manager thanking me for my business and to contact him if I had any questions or problems. Jose called me a few days after my purchase to see if I had any questions and if I was happy with the purchase. I also received a thank you card from Jose later that week.I feel that Mike Shaw Subaru wants you to be happy with your purchase so that you will come back and buy from them again, or, to recommend someone else to them. Which, I will definitely do.

Bought my 2012 Subaru at Mike Shaw. The reason I came back to Mike Shaw was Peter Seabrook. I have worked with Peter twice now.He does not try to BS me. (Can't really think of a more PC way to say that.) Not pushy. Worked with me in my price range but made sure to show me some other items I might be interested in.As far as servicing, I do not always make it there for oil changes as there is somewhere closer to the house. But I do I love coming to Mike Shaw for service because of the service, the facility, and the Wifi. When I come for service, I can log into my office PC and work while waiting. BIG PLUS for us computer geeks. Also, Kathy Nerka is more than helpful. In fact, everyone there is always helpful. My wife will be wanting a new car sooner rather than later, and we will be coming back to see Peter when she is ready.

This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. When we arrived Dan and Beverly greeted us as friends. During the test drive Beverly answered all our questions and provided valuable information about the car but was never pushy.We noticed a little blemish on the dash and Dan quickly had it cleaned up while we watched so we would know it was minor. It turned out to be a little chalk.Edgar handled our paperwork and warranty information. He was professional, friendly, and well informed, as was everyone we dealt with. Because we got to the dealership late it was after closing time before we left. Even so, Doug took the time to answer any and all of our questions while he walked us through the navigation system.We are very happy with the Outback we bought but we will always go back to Mike Shaw Subaru because of the staff.

Recently traded a late model BMW sedan for a 2012 Outback Limited 2.5i, Silver/Black. Great experience overall, ended up leasing after Phil's suggestions. Ask about the pre-paid maintenance & oil changes - really cost effective if you're close to a dealership.

Inquired about a used VW. Salesperson Peter Seabrook (sp?) kept going into a glass room a chatting sports with a bunch of other losers, wasting my time, then came out to tell me that they couldn't budge on their asking price. He kept saying "the sales manager said...blah" so I asked to speak to the sale manager. Peter said "No, the sales manager has too many important things to do." Watching football from the looks of it. So Peter refused to pass me along to the management. And then he said "Either you have the money and you want the car, or you don't." I hope Mike Shaw himself reads this review and calls me. I have much more to say. I can't believe the poor customer service skills here. I had the money and bought the car against every fiber of my judgement. The car is for my daughter and that is the only reason I went through with the deal. However, if the car had been for me, I would have passed. Mike Shaw doesn't care about customers buying used cars, especially non-subaru. They all have terrible attitudes. I would advise people to avoid this place. I will never, ever in a million years even glance at their lot again. I recommend Boulder Nissan where the service is outstanding.

During my most recent visit I expected to go in for a simple oil change but was informed I had reached a millage that could require a full service check up if I wanted. I decided to go ahead with the full service, but I only had 1 hour. The technician was super nice and told me he would make sure the team got to my car in time to get all the servicing done (I got the impression it normally takes more than an hour). But I was out of there in 45 minutes, super impressed.

This place is horrible. They're obviously creating their own glowing reviews to offset the horrible reviews from actual customers. Check out the google reviews and you'll see the same thing. Even really good dealerships don't have reviews this good. After buying a vehicle, I checked them out on the BBB website and they've had way more complaints than the average dealership of the same size. I have two main complaints. The first is that my salesperson lied and was unaware of how my car worked. I asked why the part-time light came on when the vehicle was in 2-low, and he told me it would always be on in 2-low. After I got it home, I read the owner's manual and the part-time light should NOT be on in 2-low, only in 2-high. A Jeep dealer confirmed this for me when I took it in to have it looked at. And of course, they neglected to point out that some of the interior lights didn't work which we didn't notice since we test drove it during the day. When I mentioned it to the manager later, he had no response. My second issue is with my warranty. The pressure to buy the warranty was obnoxious. I said NO at least 3 times when he said it was completely refundable within 60 days so I finally said yes just to get him to shut up. His horrible tactic worked. Weeks after we bought the car, we had some warranty work done and wouldn't you know the warranty company had no record of our contract. We called the dealership multiple times and when they finally called back they said our contract was with a different warranty company. Shockingly, that company also had no record of our contract. I believe that they dont send in the checks for the warranties until somebody actually makes a claim, so they can pocket the entire amount for people who never make claims. After numerous polite phone calls to the finance managers (none that were returned) to cancel our warranty, we finally contacted the manager (Dominic) via e-mail and he took care of the cancellation, with no apology what-so-ever for the ordeal his staff put us through. These people are not professionals, they are integrity-lacking jerks. Do not go here!

Visited the dealership after our car broke down (we were visiting from Chicago). We really wanted a Used Subaru Tribeca and they had two in stock. The deal they offered on the one with 36K miles was horrendous and they wouldn't budge, though the interior was in bad shape (looked like it was used to haul lumber). We pointed out (showed them on the Iphone) that there was a comparable model with similar miles a few dealerships away for less (on the same street) and still they wouldn't match our price - stated that the interior was what we should expect from a model with this many miles. We walked out. 2 hours later we drove away in a 2008 Tribeca from Nissan dealer 1/2 mile away, for $2K less and in much better shape (like new), with a bunch of bonuses (2 year maintence, better deal on financing, less money down, etc.)Would never waste my time there again.

I had a bad experience with Shortline Subaru in Aurora whose service/salespersons were rude and were not wiling to look at my car which immediately started running badly after they "fixed" and upgraded the engine control module in my 2006 Subaru. I went to Mike Shaw Subaru dealt with Gunnar on the phone on a Saturday to describe my problem. He immediately was kind, resourceful, provided amazing customer service and even apologized for the bad experience at the other dealership. They completed the upgrade again, and did look at my check engine light issues. He provided me with all case scenarios that could be causing the problem, and the service dept resolved it with the least expensive but accurate solution. I will return to this dealership for future service needs- in spite of the fact that it is farther away from my home.

We had an issue with our new Outback and we called the dealership that we bought it from (Go Subaru in Golden). They could not see us as quickly and their service person talked down to my wife. The Mike Shaw dealership was very responsive and professional, so we will go back there for future service.

I purchased a new car at Mike Shaw Subaru last year, which went very smooth. I was so pleased that I wanted to give them the opportunity to handle all of the service and repairs. I have tried their service department three times now and each time I feel better and better about my decision to use them. Kathy and Gunnar were very good and eager to make sure that I got what I wanted. When there was a small glitch, they remained in contact with me to allow me to make the decisions on how I wanted to proceed. After my experiences I have every confidence in Mike Shaw Subaru.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Mike Shaw. Cliff Swaim, our sales rep, was amazing. He took great care of us, making sure we had all of the time and information we needed to make our decision. We never felt pressured in the least. Cliff was able to find the vehicle we wanted, with the features we wanted, in the color we wanted, at a price we were willing to pay. I exchanged 20 emails with Cliff without coming across as a potential buyer (because of previous bad experiences with car salesman) yet Cliff replied to every email in a timely manner. Never applying any unneeded pressure of trying to make a sales. Residing in Glendale the Mike Shaw Subaru dealership was quite a commute being in Thornton but going there was worth every mile. It has been a couple of weeks since my purchase and I still get the first class treatment, unlike other salesman and dealership Cliff and Mike Shaw Subaru actually care about your experience in a whole from beginning to end. The service at Mike Shaw Subaru is very friendly and quick. When I have had my car serviced there I feel like they are honest about recommended services. Also, I really value the loaner car they provide. This makes it possible for me to drop my car off before work and then pick it up afterward, without taking time off (or spending a Saturday waiting at the dealership.) Gunnar also keeps me in the loop during the day regarding the progress of the work.I started taking my car to Mike Shaw because it was a close location when I moved to a different neighborhood, but I will go back for the customer service.

We were looking for a reliable used car for our son who just got his permit. We purchased a car which ended up being towed to Mike Shaw because of an alarm problem. Jonathan and Gunnar went above and beyond what was expected to help us with servicing the car. In the end,we actually ended up taking the car back to the other dealership and buying a used car from Mike Shaw. They treated us right from the beginning and we felt like we could trust their opinions. They were honest, up front and complete in all they did. They even had a tech stay longer than his usual hours to get the car done for us. Because of their dedication to doing things right, they were the reason we bought the car from Mike Shaw and will continue to take it back there for our work. We are thoroughly impressed with the way they do business.

The staff in the service department was very helpful and friendly. It is super easy to schedule a service appointment; the dealership is trying hard to make it as convenient as possible for you and also offers free shuttle service. The waiting area is clean and comfortable.

I purchased my Forester through Mike Shaw's Internet forum in 2003 and have taken it to Mike Shaw Subaru eversince then. They have always been very accomodating and good with the car and me. Their waiting room is comfortable: they offer fruit for snacking, their mechanics are good and "get it done" on time. Once after a routine oil change and tire rotation I developed a flat tire on my way home. I called Mike Shaw on my cell phone and they immediately sent out someone to meet me on the road and change the tire, took the tire back to the dealership and called me the next day to let me know that it had been repaired at no cost. I broke my side mirror and ordered another one through the dealership. When I arrived to pick it up, (I told them I would put it in myself) the person on duty took the mirror and put it in the frame for me because he said it could be "tricky" to put in, smiled and sent me on my way at no cost. My 2006 Subaru Outback failed emissions. After being sent all over the city to try to find a solution, someone directed me towards the dealer to get it fixed. Turned out it was just a computer program that needed to be adjusted. I was frustrated when I walked in just becuase of the situation itself. Kathy (?) at the service desk was AWESEOME! She got me in within an hour and I was on my way! The service department environment is fun, friendly and FAST! I would strongly recomend Mike Shaw Subaru's service department to anyone. While I can't vouch for the price of the service, since mine was no charge, the service is absolutley excellent! Great job!

I have used Mike Shaw Subaru for the last 6 years for service on my 2005 Outback. They have done a great job each time.When we wanted to buy a 2011 Outback, their Internet Salesman Cliff Swaim gave me a great price on the care (I compared the same car with 4 other dealers), and gave me a great price on my Toyota Prius trade-in. The top Blue Book value on the Prius was $7600 and they gave me $7000. Got a great financing rate too.Cliff is very nice to work with. Not pushy at all. While sitting in the waiting room, I was listening to two women comparing which of the two of them had driven further out of their way to arrive at Mike Shaw Subaru for an oil change. They began explaining their dissatisfaction with another Subaru dealership much closer to each of their homes, and saying Mike Shaw's customer service was worth driving out of the way for! This is how I have felt as well. I know when Kathy or Dustin recommend(s) service to my Subaru, it needs it; and I have never felt pressured to purchase their recommendations.I appreciate knowing I am dealing with professionals who not only care for my car, but about me as well. I've been very happy with the service I've received at Mike Shaw Subaru. They've always been extremely friendly and have done high quality work. Their normal prices are very reasonable and they periodically send out coupons that are sometimes for very good rates. They also have a comfortable waiting area with free wi-fi, donuts, coffee, fresh fruit, etc. In addition, they offer a free shuttle for transportation to local places of business, etc. I would highly recommend them to friends and family.

Went in to have an oil change and get a rattling door noise fixed. They were very professional, prompt and really spent the time to figure out what was causing the noise in my door, even taking the car out to make sure what they had done fixed the problem. Nice waiting room while the work is being done, free Wi-Fi and doughnuts (yum).

Mike Shaw Subaru has alway provided top notch service. Most recently, our 2002 Outback blew a serpentine belt in the middle of Wyoming. Luckily we limped into a town and called Kathy. I described the scenario and mentioned to Kathy that it was 15 degrees out and we were 2 hours from any major town. She had me look inside the engine to see if I could see a broken belt. With the pieces being strewn all over the engine compartment it was pretty easy to see. She made arrangements to have the car dropped off at Mike Shaw Subaru late that night. Early the next morning, Kathy called with an update. To my surprise, the car was scheduled to be finished later that day. The reason I appreciate Kathy's advice so much is because is prevented my wife and I from getting into a potentially lethal situation. I didn't know that this particular belt ran the alternator. I we would have kept driving, we would have broken down in the middle of Wyoming. It is very likely that we would not have been able to use our cell phones and with the sun setting the temperature would drop to below 0 degrees. With her sage advice, we stayed put and were able to call a tow truck and safely arrived in Denver later that night.As always the service and care we receive from Mike Shaw Subaru is outstanding. They always have clean "loaner" vehicles and our autos are always completed before the promised time.

Great internet experience with Cliff, quick, accurate information, only wish I knew about their cost of dealer prep and handling before I got to the dealership. That was not listed in the email, that I was aware of (could have missed it though, so may be my fault for not reading everything). When I got my price,, I figured that included EVERYTHING. I wanted the car bad enough, I went ahead with the deal, but I guess I misunderstood before I got in the store. Overall, outside of that one issue, they were great, treated us with respect, respected our time, and got us out the door quickly. Just moved to Denver from Chicago. Check Engine light came on so I took my Impreza in to find out why. I needed a loaner car since the job to fix it would take a while.Gunnar was extremely courteous and thoughtful from getting me a loaner, to ordering parts, to keeping me informed of the repair progress.My car was fixed immediately on receipt of parts from Subaru and even washed when I picked it up. I needed a headlamp replaced on my Outback. I probably could've done it cheaper, but when you go to the service department at Mike Shaw Subaru you get the VIP treatment! Kathy Berka, service manager there, is just the best. She got me right in and they did the repair while I waited. Then Kathy, knowing that we have dogs, always sends dog treats home. It's so nice to have that personal touch.

I purchased a new Subaru Legacy GT. from Mike Shaw in 2005. At 99,000 miles I started to have uneven tire wear on all four tires I had their service department perform a wheel alignment and was told that the rear cradle needed replaced ($400 parts & labor) because the right rear tire would not properly align I told the service writer that I would bring the car back at a later date and have the cradle replaced. At 115,000 miles I returned to their service department for another wheel alignment (not mentioning the bad cradle) this time the technician was able to properly align the wheels, But even after this alignment the tires were still wearing unevenly at 127,000 I purchased a new set of tires and had the car aligned by them again. I now have 139,000 miles and the tires are completely worn. I Spoke to Jonathan J. Susser (Parts & Service Director) about the problem I'm having with this car and he suggested that I take it to a different Location for my tire and alignment services and I should be lucky that I don't own a WRX model. I would have considered buying a different car if I had known that I was going to have to replace my tires every 12,000 miles and have it aligned every 6 months.

Gunnar Nettleship made my experience at Mike Shaw Subaru excellent. He checked my warranty, called the company, and saved me some unnecessary repairs. My experience at Mike Shaw is always fantastic. I was told at a previous business that I needed 4 new tires, when in reality I was able to get only one new tire, and it was mostly covered under my warranty.

Both of the service writers were on the phone, which I get, but since I'd never been there before I started to wonder if I had gone to the wrong desk. Once I was greeted I had a great experience. They resolved all my issues and serviced the vehicle quickly. I'll return for future service intervals.

Once we reached an agreement, I was able to complete the paperwork with Cliff by phone and then pick up the car at a convenient time. Great online purchasing experience.

I bought a 2011 Legacy from Mike Shaw Subaru through the internet sales manager Cliff Swaim. He's a great guy and was very patient with me. Mike Shaw gave me the best price on the legacy (over $70 cheaper per month compared to Valley Subaru). Before leasing the Legacy, I owned a 2003 Subaru WRX. Cliff was very patient with waiting for me to sell my wrx, because I was firm on not Leasing a new car until I had sold my old one. So far Im loving the new Legacy, especially all the room (which the Impreza WRX definitely lacks). Took it snowboarding once already (going again tomorrow), did awesome in the snow and its really good on gas mileage. Really liking the Satin White Pearl paint as well, it gets dirty pretty easy but once you clean it, she really shines :).Again thanks for everything Cliff/Mike Shaw.

I needed some major work done on my Subaru Forrester and called various auto repair places for estimates, aware that the dealership is often the most expensive. In this case, the dealership's estimate was within range of the other places but after I got off the phone Kathy did some research and called me back to let me know that Subaru would cover 50% of this work. It was completed in less time than they thought and I was given a loaner car for the 2 days when mine was in the shp.

I gave this rating because Mike Shaw Subaru got me in immediately and they said with the extensive 7,500 mile check up it would take an hour to an hour and 15 min. He asked if the extra time would put me out at this time. I told them I could wait and the did have the car finished when they said the would. they even washed my car, change the windshield wipers, and had everything looking great in that time. Dustin answered several questions about things I noticed in the last week and was very informative about the symbols I had noticed on the display. I was very pleased with all they did to accommodate my time even though I just walked in to ask to make an appointment and he told me he could do it now. Dustin was very helpful, accommodating,and very attentive. They did a great job.

This dealership does not provide consistently good service. In the past, I had been reasonably happy and have had only very minor complaints (apart from the usual high cost of service compared to independent shops). However, recently they charged me for oil during an oil change to which I brought my own oil. No response to a letter of complaint to the management team. I'm certainly not going back.

I am fortunate enough to be given a loaner car to use if necessary and their work is always completed as promised. Kathy has always been very helpful and also very knowledgable. Went there to get my first free oil change and they left oil smudges all over the interior and oil foot prints on the drivers side floor mat. 3000 miles on the car and they can't take a couple seconds to clean up before they jump in to move the car.

I've been a service/maintenance customer at Mike Shaw Subaru for 5 years now and each experience has been pleasant, painless and pertinent.The guys answer my questions, give me reasons and are always courteous.Kathy Nerka is FANTASTIC and the best customer relations gal you've got.My car is washed when needed and I sooooo aprecite that and the fruit and coffee in the waiting area is always so great on my early morning visits. I love having breakfast at Mike Shaw's.One thing I was initially impressed with was the friendliness, banter and obvious respect the employees have for one another....as one sits in the waiting area much is observed and heard and it's ALL good. I have visited Mike Shaw Subaru twice. The first time to test drive a few cars when I had only begun looking and the second when I left with a new 2010 Outback Premium 3.6R. Everyone was very friendly, made an effort to be informative without being redundant, and pretty easily led the way through a very smooth transaction. My only disappointment in general was the lack of inventory of the model I desired, but this was due to the high demand and approach of year end, and was the same at every Subaru dealer I looked at in the area. In the end, I am happy with the purchase and the car, was ok with the price (again, high demand and low inventory of this model), and I would not hesitate to go back to Mike Shaw Subaru. I will be back there for service fairly soon in any case.

They programmed my remote keyless entry fob for FREE. Other local dealers wanted between $60-80 to do it. The Service Manager did it in about 5 minutes. I will drive past 2 other Subaru dealers and go an extra 30 miles to work with them! They are also the most pleasant people to work with-I look forward to taking my car there.

i worked with pete who helped me pick out a car and then peter who helped me with financing the deal. both were great. peter even went out to the car and showed me all the knobs and gadgets which was great. i have recommended you all several times and will continue to do so. everyone was polite, answared all my questions and showed me all the options i had to choose from. then when i went to my first maintenence service the gentleman was great. (im so sorry i cant remember his name, the only reason i remembered the other two names is i had them wrote down in the initial paperwork. im terrible at remembering names) the maintenence department was quick, efficient, courteous, polite and efficient. they even found a nail in one of my tires that i did not know i had and then fixed it for me right then and there. this gentleman even came out to my car to help me with my headrests and to explain a few things. thank you all so much. toni tchambou-sawa.

I have shopping for a new car for my wife for the last 24 month. I did a tremendous amount of research including utilizing the Consumer Reports auto information. We looked at virtually all models that met my wife's needs. Visited many dealerships, drove the cars and then met with the various sales staff. I found some of the sales environments almost circus like in their approach, barking and hawking their products but generally unwilling to set down and have a serious discussion about the vehicle and the costs points of the vehicle and accessories. In fact, upon learning that I wanted to have this discussion summarily dismissed us.I found Mike Shaw Subaru to be a dealership that took the time to understand my interest and appreciate my approach to the discussion around purchasing a new car. They were very open in showing the vehicle and in explaining the price points associated with the vehicle. They were willing to take the information I had gathered and help me update that information. They were willing to make the purchase of our new car understandable, which built my confidence in them and enhanced their credibility. They let me work at my pace and showed interest in my business and were not impatient in that process.I recommend Mike Shaw to all buyers, including those of us who desire and need to have a process that is marked by understanding and mutual respect.

I worked mainly with Cliff, the sales guy, and to some extent, Greg, and both were fun and easy to work with. The whole process was completed in one afternoon. I checked out the car I wanted at lunch, and I was the proud owner of it by 6 pm. Also, working with Steve, the finance guy, was easy because of his knowledge and experience.

I was skeptical to negotiate for a new car on line, but Peter made the "conversation" pleasurable. I wasn't rushed, he didn't push or call me every day; but rather connected with me at all the right times. He responded to exactly what I asked for, and always responded in a timely manner. The time spent at the dealership was minimual since we did all the pre-work ahead of time. Peter even had all the options put on so I only had to make one trip to the dealership. My Subaru Legacy is the perfect car, and the experience was indeed a pleasure.

Great dealership. Always helpful. Good service work. As often as not they will point out some useful information to me. An example of this was on the last visit when Gunnar pointed out that my cabin air filter might need changing. It had never been changed because no other dealership had thought to ask I guess. Anyway the filter turned out to be filthy and the new filter allowed the cabin air flow to be much better. Always enjoy this dealership.

Every one from the man who sold me the car to especially Kathy and Dustin in service have been great. They are knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Even your shuttle drivers are great. I had a service tech (Noodles) test drive with me due to a noise problem. Of course the noise did not happen but he came back into the waiting area about 15 -20 minutes later to tell me what the noise might be (based on my discription)and to come back in and ask for him if it continued. What this said to me was that he was still trouble shooting in his mind even though he was on to someone elses car. I have continued to recommend your dealership to people even if they don't live on this side of town. I lived in Littleton when I purchased my car from this dealership. Thanks for a great job!!

This dealer has always been quick and has repaired any warrenty items with out being ask to do it. They have all been very friendly and helpfull. Last week I took my Subaru in for service and as usual they were very nice and also washed my car without me asking them to. They didn't say anything about it but it was pretty dirty when I took it in and when I went to leave I noticed it was clean. How is that for service!

I needed to get some work done on my car and I looked around at different places to get the best deal. I found the dealer to have the best price. I called on a friday morning at the last minute and they got me in right away. They told me that it should take a couple of hours, but before I knew it they were done. The dealership was also nice enough to give me a ride home and picked me up later on. The experience was great and I'm sure that they work was done right!

I had a minor accident due to slick roads and needed the suspension on my Forester repaired. I work from my car as a home hospice nurse. Kathy recommended having needed part overnighted to service center so repair could be accomplished more quickly. She also helped arrange a rental car. My car was repaired in about 24 hours. This was much quicker than the 2 to 3 days that I expected. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

I leased by Subaru approximately two years ago. I absolutely love the car itself, but the service at Mike Shaw Subaru is just as great. My windshield wiper wasn't working at one point last year and they said to come right in and they fixed it right away! I just had the 15,000 mile service and it was done in the time they said it would be done and they even washed my car as well! Kathy, the employee at the service desk was engaging and even made my grumpy daughter smile! Thanks so much, I honestly think from now on I will always purchase my vehicles at this dealership!

My wife and I went in to look at new vehicles because the lease was up on my wife's car. Cliff had set aside time for us to meet and look at the new cars he had in stock.We were met promptly when we arrived and made to feel comfortable ,offered something to drink and sat down in Cliff's office to discuss our needs. We were shown several vehicles and test drove the one my wife l8iked most. At each step of the process we were treated with respect and concern for our wants and needs. We were never pressured and were always asked if we were comfortable (needing something to eat or drink). This was the easyest decission to get a new vehicle I've had since I was 19 and I walked in and paid cash for my very first new car.

Brought my car in for a recall issue and Dustin let me know that i had missed some previous recalls. He informed me that is was not a problem that he would have his technician get those other recalls done. I asked if he could put on a part i had purchased and for where the part is located i was only charged 20 dollars which was great. They did a free full car inspection and let me know what else they found and gave me a printout description of what is involved and the cost of each item. When I picked up my car they had even washed it which is amazing for just origanlly going in for a free recall fix.

The waiting area is quite comfortable. The cost for their service seems fair. I purchased my 2009 Forester at Mike Shaw Subaru, but I'm sure I would get the same type of service if I had purchased is from another dealer. It is a pleasure to go there!

Brought in car for service, had a gasoline smell from under the hood. Service advisor Kathy Nerka said that likely problem was due to cold snap and fuel lines needed to be tightened. Upon further investigation, they quickly found a bad fuel pressure regulator that needed replacement. Kathy explained that the part would be in first thing the next morning, and an employee gave me a ride home. Next day when I went to pick it up, they had it all ready, but I had also brought a coupon for service, so Kathy had to re-write it all up and did so without complaint.

Although my previous experience with the sales aspect of this dealership was less than pleasing (it was the typical sales-pitch that I didn't find at one of the other local Subaru dealers), I have consistently found Jerry in the service department to be a shining example of the kind of customer service I want to see when I take my car to a dealer for service. Jerry has always shown me kindness and friendliness and has treated me with nothing less than respect. I work in the hospitality industry and my company is known for its high service standards. Jerry would be a welcome addition to my company and is truly a role model for others in his company to emulate. I've never experienced such kind customer service from a dealership in my life and I'm sure that I won't likely find it many other places.Jerry is an asset to Mike Shaw Subaru and I certainly hope that others in the dealership can learn to exhibit the same kinds of customer service behaviors as he does.

No hassle, straightforward place of business that other business owners should look at for a goal in customer satisfaction. Will definetely keep these folks on my number one list for my next automotive need. I went in for a installation of tires and without even asking they also did a free inspection of my vehicle. Nice! Only thing that could possibly improve is the customer waiting area leaves alot to be desired. Very small and I personally would not put waiting customers in the parts order area but that is just me. At least it was sqeaky clean even though there was melting snow outdoors. Heck I even took a look at one of the new cars, the salesman who helped me look a new car was not like any other salesman I have met, he did not pressure me one single bit which is a breath of fresh air coming from a dealership of ANY kind these days! The people at Mike Shaw are very friendly and the service is always really fast. I also bought my car there and I thought the dealers were very straight forward and didn't try and lead me in circles or scam me. In general, I think their prices for service are a bit high but that just may be because I'm cheap. They send out great coupons, so I only go in for service with when i have one of those. Just had an oil change for $10, good deal!! I like that every time I go in, they inspect my entire vehicle and give me an honest assessment of my car. I am never pressured into services I don't need or want. I bought my car in 2007 and am still very happy I bought it from Mike Shaw.

I have had only positive experiences in the Service Department. Specifically, both Kathy and Jerry have been courteous, attentive, and have patiently explained the need (and urgency, if any) for all repairs. I have never been made to feel ignorant or vulnerable. Usually, the repairs are completed in less time than estimated, always with a very satisfactory result.

I brought my 2009 Forester in for some minor No Charge warranty work. The work was done in a prompt timely manner, and was completed before the estimated time. The dealership made it very easy to schedule an appointment, and were willing to provide a free loaner if I needed one (which I didn't this time).The work was completed to my satisfaction, and the problem has been resolved.

No hidden stuff. being able to talk to someone that is so friendly is a big plus especially when getting your vehicle serviced. I always hate going to dealers that treat you like a dummy. I've never had that experience with Mike Shaw Subaru when dealing with Jerry.

I've dealt with this dealership for a couple years now and I've had very good experiences with both Sales and Service. Steve has been my salesperson for 3 vehicles over the last couple of years. The finance team has also been very pleasant to work with. They've gone above and beyond to make sure the best deal was reached and provided. Service has also been outstanding for me at this dealership. I'm not sure why some folks have had a bad experience. I have and will continue to recommend Mike Shaw Subaru and Steve to my friends. Steve has been instrumental in getting us the best deal possible and working with us and Finance to make the experience enjoyable and productive.

I purchased an 04 STI from Mike Shaw and sadly it was a very big mistake and something that will resinate with me for the rest of my car buying days. The exp was good at first they had the car waiting for me to look at and I dealt with the GM of sales. Conditionaly I agreed to by the car if they fixed the illegal exaust and put in a functional stero. Little did I know that I was buying someones recreational off road rally car. After the car was found to be losing oil faster then gasoline it was brought to my attention the very long list of services the it has been in for. Long story short, be sure to test everything you can think of, check the oil and ask to see the vehicle history before you buy!!! NOT CARFAX, the Subaru of America work history. Watch them input the VIN and see what comes up!!!

I first met Jerry when I bought my 2006 WRX Imprezza. I bought it off the used lot and the previous owner had aftermarket exhaust on it that was being taken off. After the removal, the car had a bad exhaust leak that I brought to Jerry's attention immediately. I had no appointment but Jerry took me in immediately. Since then, Jerry's been my guy although Nancy is great too. Jerry is a no-nonsense service advisor and will sell only what is needed. Jerry also told me about coupons I was unaware of which helped out huge. I'm in California with my Subie now and there are no good dealers here. The great service and value I got from Jerry and Nancy make me miss Colorado. I would recommend every Subie owner to see Jerry and Nancy. As far as sales goes...typical dealership, but they worked with my pricing. Thanks guys!

I recently purchased a new car at Mike Shaw Subaru, and the whole experience was pleasant. No bum rush when I walked in, just a polite greeting from the same Steve S. whom Tenney was complaining about. Steve S. was completely professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and totally accommodating to our specific needs, I cannot hardly believe anything that this person Tenney is saying about him. After test driving some Ford Escapes at Ford dealer down the road, and dealing with pressure-heavy sales amateurs, it was refreshing to work with someone who really knew what he was talking about. It was because of Steves knowledge and professionalism that we bought our 09 Forester there, and in the months since then (December 08) he has checked up on us multiple times. This is infinitely better service than Ive ever received elsewhere. I have many problems believing what Tenney is complaining about. First of all, your complaint is illogical, no salesman would suddenly go out on a test drive when youre there talking about the price. Secondly, you would never, I dont care who you are, get the owner Mike Shaws personal number, so I doubt you ever called him to find out if he was on vacation or not. Thirdly, if you had cash to buy a car which you probably didnt, you would probably be smart enough to spell prima donnas correctly, not pre-madommas genius. How, pray tell, can you expect to make a sincere comment on an issue when you cant make sense or even spell correctly? Go to Mike Shaw, they are great people, and the service is excellent. I have recommended Steve to my friends and they have been equally impressed. Furthermore, do not listen to people like Tenney, they only try to cover up their ineptitude by roasting honest people.

I came into the showroom and received the bums rush from the salesman, Steve S. (avoid him at ALL cost)- until price was discussed. It was at that time he disappeared.The co-operation from him was non existent. He never made the process pleasant, fun or anything but stressful. When I inquired about the cost of something he was "out of the office" or " out on a test drive" yet after leaving umpteen messages, he NEVER returned them. I, further, called the owner, funny enough they were on vacation, as were the manager's. On December 26th 2008, I visited Mike-Shaw Subarus lot and I was greeted and assisted by two Mike Shaw employees that promised to price this car as COSTCO car purchase program. I liked the 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5XT limited that I test drove but mistakenly trusted Mike Shaw-Subaru for a respectable car dealer as we negotiated sales price and terms for this new car. One shady thing the salesmen requested that we signed a paper to show our interest into the car when he submitted a price to his boss I should had left. We basicaally purchased the car on a plain paper. Was my understanding that your car dealership is listed with the Better Business Burrow and as such I trusted your car dealership to be fair priced on new cars, maintenance service, and establish a good customer dealer relation especially during this hard economic time period. As I mention before my wife and I liked the 2009 Outback 2.5 XT limited with an MSRP of $34,811, and we settled on $32,950 purchase price, but I was deceived into believing that it was a fair price, and that the salesman would honor the COSTCO car purchase program price as he promised prior of the test drive. You see, when my daughter checked the price for this car at a different dealership one week later the price was $29,219 (she is also interested in the car). The dealer admitted that I overpaied but did not do anything to correct. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP, LACK OF SUPPORT AND INTEGRITY.

Lied to twice by this dealership. Once on the warranty when I bought the car (I should have known better). They said it covers wear and tear on everything. I asked specifically "so if the clutch goes out, and its from use, its covered?" The "yes" answer prompted me to buy it unfortunately.Fast forward a couple of years (of descent service, oil changes, etc but nothing special). Then on my 30k mile check low and behold they say my clutch is "slipping badly" and it'll be $1200 to replace. I am told wear and tear isn't covered for this part in the wear and tear warranty. Fair enough, I should have known better than to waste money on a warranty. Since I was NOT having trouble with the clutch I decided to have it checked out by another mechanic. This other mechanic (yes, Subaru certified) inspected the clutch and said there was nothing wrong with it.Regardless of if there is some wear on the clutch it still functions properly with NO slippage that the mechanic could find. That would have been a $1200 mistake on my part. The trust I had in this dealer is gone. Now, as far as maintenance before this incident, it was descent. If you use them though and they recommend a huge repair on a part you aren't having trouble with, please get a 2nd opinion. It could save you a bundle.
