This was a great experience. I had been planning a surprise birthday present for my wife. Years ago she had a blue convertible. I wanted to get her a new RED one. JP Liesenfeld at Motorwerks BMW made it happen. I looked at another dealership and was left hanging. JP was able to locate the car of her dreams with just the right equipment and color. We had a short turn around time but they were able to get the perfect car from Kansas City. The Motorwerks team was able to work with me to make the surprise perfect, including the cake and the big gold ribbon. Even the finance guy was a delight to work with - very personable. The "genius" guy was also very good in explaining all the features to my wife - we will have to go back to season two! On the hold a great experience.

My vehicle was in for service. It required a fair amount of work as it had 125,000 miles on it. I had already viewed a vehicle online as a possible new purchase. I spoke to Tim Schroeder as I was driving to the dealership. I live about an hour away. I arrived at the dealership and the vehicle was out front ready for me to view. Brad handled all of the paperwork for the sale. I was on a tight schedule and he was able to get me in and out. He offered to schedule a separate time to thoroughly go through all of the features for the vehicle. I will be back for that. I have always had my BMW serviced at Motorwerks for the last 10 years. Because of my distance from the dealership and my schedule I have always needed a loaner vehicle.The service has been great.

I'd bought my first BMW from my son-in-law 5 years ago and loved the car, never thinking I would own a BMW. Now it was time to replace it. Other dealers, pointed me to a car not inquiring if I would like a test ride, told me when I brought my husband they would work up trade in value on my car, and when I gave specifics of what I was looking for not even following up with me.From the moment I walked into Motorwerks the receptionist and everyone we encountered could not have been nicer even though we started working with Shawn Simonet. Shawn was by far the best car salesmen we have ever worked with. Informative, respectful, no pressure, and made the process simple and non time consuming and tried to ensure he understood our goals. This was topped off by his calm, non-pushy demeanor and made our 5 hour adventure a pleasure. Just recently bought a BMW 325i from BMW Motorwerks, MN. Initially, I was apprehensive about making a blind out-of-state purchase. However, Natalie and her team were extremely transparent about the vehicle's condition and history, sharing that the car needed ~$2,000 in repairs (given the low sticker price). They even assisted with the shipment of the car. The car arrived as described by Natalie and team... and I had the car repaired and inspected by my hometown BMW service shop. There were no surprises, the car only needed the repairs suggested by BMW motorwerks. The car drives great! More importantly, Natalie was extremely courteous, professional, and genuine in her sales approach.

I took a BMW 328i xDrive. Arber Meko helped me through the process. This was my first car. I was confused between purchase and lease , I was also confused between a pre owned 4 series grand coupe/ 5 series or a brand new 3 series. He understood my requirements well. He gave me good suggestions and options that I wasn't even thinking of. He got me a good deal for lease well in my budget. When I talk to my friends about the money that I pay for the lease every month everybody is awestruck with the deal. He made paperwork very easy too. Would not have been able to get such a great deal with out his help. He also made me understand the long term impact of different options on credit score. He explained things very well. I had been looking for a used X3 the last month or so and had gone to several dealerships on an off. I had experienced the gambit of experiences from overly aggressive "used car salesmen" to spending about 20 minutes on lots with no one asking if i needed assistance. To be honest, I had looked online for cars and BMW Motorwerks did not have what I was looking for. I was actually on my way home from another dealership when I decided just to stop by and walk around the lot. 5 minutes after I had looked around and didn't "see" what i wanted, Shawn Simonet walked out and introduced himself. He was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. He was quickly able to find a car that might fit the bill and we went on a test drive. His expertise with BMW automobiles was evident while on the drive. He was able to guide me for what to look for in handling and expected responses from the car. Once back at the dealership I decided to go into the office and discuss what my options would be in purchasing the car. After some deliberation and some honest back and forth regarding my trade-in value or my car, I signed the papers to a wonderful car that I was not expected to drive away with on Saturday. All the dealings with everyone at the dealership have been top notch and worthy of representing a Luxury car brand. I have had to personally contact Shawn for some final paperwork questions and has been exemplary in his responses by both phone and email. Needless to say BMW Motorweks has a customer for life and I am ecstatic that I purchased my Certified vehicle through them and not another dealer that had BMV's to sell off their lot. It has been a great experience and I am only sad I hadn't gone there sooner.

I was actually on my way home from another dealership when I decided just to stop by and walk around the lot. 5 minutes after I had looked around and didn't "see" what i wanted, Shawn Simonet walked out and introduced himself. He was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. He was quickly able to find a car that might fit the bill and we went on a test drive. His expertise with BMW automobiles was evident while on the drive. He was able to guide me for what to look for in handling and expected responses from the car. Once back at the dealership I decided to go into the office and discuss what my options would be in purchasing the car. After some deliberation and some honest back and forth regarding my trade-in value or my car, I signed the papers to a wonderful car that I was not expected to drive away with on Saturday. All the dealings with everyone at the dealership have been top notch and worthy of representing a Luxury car brand. I have had to personally contact Shawn for some final paperwork questions and has been exemplary in his responses by both phone and email. Needless to say BMW Motorweks has a customer for life and I am ecstatic that I purchased my Certified vehicle through them and not another dealer that had BMV's to sell off their lot. It has been a great experience and I am only sad I hadn't gone there sooner.

I previously owned a BMW that was purchased at a smaller dealership on the East Coast. I received excellent service. I was concerned that I would not get the same at a large dealership like Motorwerks. However, what a pleasant surprise! I initially spoke to one of their salespeople, Ayman Hassanein, on the phone, He was extremely kind and answered all of my questions prior to my visit onsite. Once I arrived, he worked very hard to get me my new car in a timely fashion (same-day) and held up all agreed-on ends of the deal. Recently returned a leased 2013 X5M which was leased through a different dealer to Motorwerks. The lease return couldn't have been more painless (about 15 minutes). Dropped the car off planning to return to work, instead left with a 335i Xdrive. I had asked one of the salesman if I could just look at a few of their used CPO'd cars for reference, Deji (salesman) found several within minutes. The pricing was so good (and BMW in house financing beat the usually superior credit union rates), that we made a deal on the spot. None of it planned, but the 335 is a GREAT car and I'm extremely happy with Motorwerks. Their service department is also top notch (had regular maintenance done on the X5 there). Can highly recommend them.

I had my vehicle towed in with an alternator issue. I called the service department immediately so they were expecting my vehicle's arrival. For two days I didn't receive a status update so I called them. I was told they would have to call me back.The following day I finally received a call from a service advisor about my vehicle. At that time he explained to me that the towing service charge would be INCLUDED IN MY INVOICE. I agreed and they performed the inspection. When I was called back with the diagnosis I was given a TOTAL cost. I agreed that they perform the service. When my vehicle was ready I was called again and given a new larger TOTAL cost that additionally included the towing.When I explained that I had understood TOTAL to mean TOTAL and that there is a clear difference between INCLUDED ON THE INVOICE and INVOICED SEPARATELY, I was told it wasn't their error, the dealership owed me nothing, and I owed the total balance due. This was then raised to both the service advisor's manager, and to the GM of the dealership: neither of whom would acknowledge the error and make it right for the customer either. Initially, I was only questioning their communication skills, now I also question their integrity.Beware. Get all critical communication in writing.

Just purchased a certified used 328xi at Motorwerks. This is the second time doing so. I had been bringing my former car in for service for the past 7 years. Motorwerks service area kept my old car in top form for all of that time. It was time to replace my car with a new one. Of course I came to Motorwerks to do so. We bought a car for our daugher from BMW moterworks and our salesman Tim Schroeder was fantastic. I spoke to Tim about what we were looking for. Over the next week Tim searched for options that fit our price range and criteria. Tim called me and said he had a couple of great options. Purchased a 2012 535 and Arber was the best salesman I have dealt with to date. VERY knowledgeable and easy going. Most car salesmen can tell you about a cars features, but don't have a lot of mechanical experience. Arber knows these cars inside and out. Not a big deal, but the finance department was quite slow at getting the paperwork together, considering it was a cash sale. Overall a great experience.

I recently purchased a new X5 5.0 from Motorwerks BMW. I live in Fargo, and Leo Guzman was my salesman. Through emails, he helped me decide the features that I wanted on my X5. He arranged for a very fair price, a great price for my trade in, and a tire swap of my old tires for the new tires. All was done in as painless a manner as possible. Leo set up two dates for closing, as I had to cancel the first date that he set up. In short, it was a great way to purchase a new car. I am delighted with the X5, and finding the two key chains in the glove compartment, in addition to the Godiva chocolates we received, was a nice way to close the transaction. Rick Stulberg was very helpful in attesting to the quality of my trade-in which helped make the transaction move along. He has been a great service adviser to me. Two weeks ago, my husband and I stop by Motorwerks BMW hoping to find our next new car. To our amazement, we found more than just a new car. We found a car dealership with service level second to none. We have never worked with a sales consultant as honest and as attentive, as Jon Bliss. This is our third luxury vehicle, and honestly we've never experienced such high-level of customer service. Never for a second did we feel like we were given the run-around, pushed to buy something that we didn't want, or being deceived by common car-salesmen's tactic... We ended up leasing a 2016 340i xDrive Sedan. We loved everything about the vehicle the performance, the handling, the comfort is second to none. What happened after we brought our new car home makes us never want to buy a car from anyone else, but Jon Bliss at Motorwerks BMW After a short weekend with our new car, we came to horrible realization that black was not the color for us. Knowing that it will be hard to keep it clean, we decided to give Jon a call and let left him a message about our decision. Without any hesitations , Jon returned our call the first thing Monday morning, and told us hed informed his sales manager Alex Tamarkin and that theyll do everything they can to help us find another vehicle with the right color. As promised, Jon found us a replacement vehicle with the exterior color we truly wanted in less than two days. Were now just waiting for the car to be transported from Port to Minneapolis. Words cannot express how excited we are. Now, that is what you call exceptional service!!!

The dealership was a pleasure to work with. We purchased an X3 BMW this weekend and after the papers were signed, my wife realized she might want another option included, which would mean a different car. I thought this will be the ultimate test for a dealer. I called my salesperson Jon Bliss and explained the problem and asked if we could swap and use our originally negotiated price and pay the difference in the msrps between the different vehicles. Without hesitation he said not a problem, just let him know by the next day. they were great in providing us a loaner time our car was ready and the manager, Matt Mickelson, was a most decent character as we negotiated our final deal. The guys made it a real enjoyable experience!

Buying a car from Motorwerks is a extremely costly mistake. Just read other reviews, looks like all positive reviews and paid reviews. Recently I bought 2013 335XI from them and paid the extremely premium price because of the color which I love. The day I test drove it was raining and could not see any paint imperfections and damages, they did not even offer me to take it inside the garage to show me( because they knew it). I drove home the car, used for week and then spent washing the car my self. Guess what, all heavy wax and polish they put on is all gone and here is bare car with 4 different colors of paint( I started crying!!!), wait its not just 4 different paint colors its spray painted over dust and lot of run overs etc. Any person( even 10 year old) can tell this car is repaired repainted from 5 feet away. Now I remember When I went to look at it there was guy fixing other cars in parking lot. I did not realize that time.How can the BMW dealer can do this to BMW customers, I started complaining to dealer, very poor response( you know why they made money). Finally I got response telling me to take it to nearest dealer the confirm that what I was saying is right( bcoz I leave 700 miles away). Everything what I complained was right and provided the written estimate from BMW, then they say we cant pay. You bought the car, we got money and deal over.What a car I bough from junk dealership. I cant understand how BMW dealer buy junk car and fix and sell. I am going to report to BMW and hiring lawyer.They have perfect art of getting people to pay way more than and for junk cars. Please I dont even think about this dealership.

Our initial visit to see a specific vehicle we found on line was frustrating; the salesperson was not very helpful. After several phone calls over several hours, he was still unable to locate the car-but not sure how hard he tried! (Huge dealership, with multiple lot locations-they need a better car locater system). However once we were connected with a different salesperson, Jon Bliss, things went smoothly. He quickly found the car and was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The general manager Matt and sales manager Tony, were also extremely helpful and accommodating. The final transaction was quick and easy, and everyone involved with the delivery, including Matt Brown, the "Genius" consultant, was great! Aside from the initial contact, which may have been an aberration, the overall experience was great, and I would recommend this dealership highly.

Sales and trade in experience was very good. We came to a reasonable deal on a 2016 328i xdrive well outfitted. They found a model that was almost exactly what I was looking for and had it shipped up from Chicago and had it here in a day. The purchasing was easy and fairly quick and they were helpful with going over the car's systems and set up. I would buy from Ang again. Very knowledgable and personable - super easy to work with. Only hiccup was some one forgot to take the car out of transport mode which resulted in making It look like the back up camera did not work and the chassis stability system was malfunctioning. I had to leave the car with them a few days later and got it back in two days properly configured. They worked hard to get the issue resolved quickly. They gave me a loaner so not that big of a deal. All is well. This is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Thanks to Brad Wicklund at Motorwerks, just took delivery of a brand new M4. Brad and Dan Grundman made it possible for me to step out of my 435i and into a truly "pinch me it's mine" car! As with my last Motorwerk's buying experience, there was no drama, our conversations were calm, reasoned and our deal proceeded efficiently to a logical conclusion. As I've come to expect now at Motorwerk's, they'll pleasantly surprise me with some aspect of the service or the financial arrangements that I had neither expected nor requested. This time and with respect to the paint protection package we had agreed to apply to specific areas of the car, they took it upon themselves to basically cover the entire front of the car...............for the originally agreed upon price! Since this car has an aluminum hood, that was a very thoughtful and extremely worthwhile "addition" at no charge to me..................didn't ask for it, they didn't have t' do it but they did it anyway! Once again, this kinda service after the sale falls under that "go the extra mile for you" category which has routinely distinguished the folks at this dealership from others. I've been driving since 1963, purchased many new cars and dealt with many new car dealerships over the years. I've worked with some good dealerships in the past but in Motorwerks, looks like they saved the best for last.

We have purchased two BMW X5 vehicles from Motorwerks BMW. Both buying experiences were great. Both sales persons, most recently Ed Traisci, were very knowledgeable of the product. The dealer did not have a vehicle with the colors and equipment we wanted, so they were very willing to order us the vehicle we wanted. We didn't have to take colors or options we didn't want. Delivery went very well. Ed spent a lot of time explaining the features of our new vehicle. We have had all the service on our first vehicle performed at Motorwerks and plan to for our second. Motorwerks' BMW is one of those instance when you hear something from someone, and you think it's likely a misunderstanding or a rare occurrence, but then it happens to you. I purchased a 2008 BMW X5 from this place, 5 months ago, and I'm still trying to come to terms with how full of crap and devious these people are. I'm appalled by how quick ethics are thrown out of the window in order to make a sale. The BMW I purchased was a certified pre-owned one, and yet within 5 months of owning it I'm marveled by how many repairs I've had to make. In anticipation of the classic and easy rebuttal that's likely to come to mind at this point, no, it wasn't a cheap car, so the "What did you expect for that part" excuse isn't applicable here. I paid the market value for my car and still got ripped off. Please, do not underestimate how much of a friend and family you'd be when you're paying them, and how quick they'll hang you out to dry when you realize how much you've been screwed and try to confront them. My misfortune starts with months of constant issues and ends with me realizing that the staff member who explained to me the details of my protection plan and guarantees ended up explaining the wrong plan and signing me up for another, which he likely did to be able to make a sale within my asking price. Soulless trolls like these have a way of sucking your hopes and dreams away from you. Since I was a child, all I've wanted was a BMW. I graduated college, worked for my money, and finally bought a BMW...Now I can't picture myself buying another BMW. Coincidentally, a family friend of mine has had a similar experience with them, and I should've listened when I was warned not to go to Motowerks but to go to BMW of Minnetonka. Ironically, this family friend said the repairs that Motorwerks told him weren't covered was covered by BMW of Minnetonka. HERE'S WHAT THE GREAT PEOPLE OF MOTOWERKS BMW HAVE TAUGHT MEPREOWNED CERTIFIED MEANS BUY AT YOUR OWN RISKMOTORWERKS IS THE SHORT OF "MOTORWERKS UNTIL YOU DRIVE IT OFF THE LOT"DO THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND GO TO BMW MINNETONKA MOTORWERKS SELLS CRAPPY CARSI'm going to have my family move to a different car brand, and I wouldn't do (neither would I recommend doing) business with this company anymore. I think BMW themselves should be alerted of this because this crappy, unethical, sham of a company is tarnishing their name brand. Please, don't go through what I went through. BMW of Minnetonka is a lot more professional, assuring, and less desperate. You can take my word for it or you can risk sharing in my experience. Up to you.

I worked with Ryan Kaulbars for a purchase of a CPO BMW. Initially I was not sure what vehicle I was intending to purchase or lease. He had great follow-up with BMW incentives, what BMW financial was going to offer for lease turn-in, what new CPO inventory was arriving, etc. He worked with me during the deal making process and never seemed pushy or irritated. He always seemed to have my satisfaction during the process at the top of the list. His communication during the process was excellent, from morning to evening he was available. After purchase and delivery, he worked to help resolve a few minor issues with the finance dept, parts dept, and service dept. Overall he is an excellent client advisor that works hard for his clients before, during, and after the deal. You can tell he is a BMW enthusiast and values his customers and his ongoing relationship with them.

Well, this was my experience with their used car sales. Made an appointment to look at a couple of cars and met the sales person for the appointment. all is well. Took it for a drive and liked it! Pulled back into the lot to put and the salesman came up to the window and said, just leave it right here, another person wants to test drive it. OK no problem. Got out and he did not ask me if I liked it or not. I said it I liked it and would like to see the other car. He said it was in the shop and unavailable. End of conversation. That's it, no sales pitch, no asking me anything, as the other sales person starting talking to the other customer and helping them out with the car. He handed me his card and said will there be anything else, like he had a lunch date or something and had to go. I guess they don't like selling to old guys with no hair. It was all weird ... and rude. I went to McDonalds afterwards, I was treated so nice, smile, a couple of jokes, just like I would expect. I wish McDonalds sold cars.

Buying a user car from them (likely a new car too) would be a very costly mistake. Just read other reviews. I traded in a 2009 535i and bought a 2012 535i from AutoSource and saved $9500 when compared to a similar deal offered by Motorwerks! In fairness, the Motorwerks 2012 535i was certified and had 5000 fewer miles, but still $9500. They get away with this because there is little competition and people get sucked in to the fancy building, big smiles the BMW cache and, clearly, they sell plenty of cars anyway. Confront them with the fact that they are way overpriced and they just smile and lay on the charm - General Manager included. I have to hand it to them, they have perfected the art of getting people to pay way more than they should or have to. My advice: call AutoSource or Poquet and just tell them what you want and they will find you a great deal via auction and give you a much better trade in deal. Done it twice myself with AutoSource.

David Anderson is a very rude and unprofessional service manager. I believe he got the position of Service Manager a few months ago from a service advisor. I called in wanting to speak to the service manager and it seemed like he didn't want to help me. He had an attitude on the phone, maybe because he is having bad day but he shouldn't take it out on the customer. He raised his voice on me when I asked him a diagnostic question and tried to explain to Dave Anderson what I understand and he kept speaking over me. Terrible service from Dave Anderson in the over 15 years I have been coming to Motorwerks. I live 5 minutes away from Motorwerks but I rather take the extra drive to Minnetonka since the experience I have had with Dave Anderson at Morotweks BMW. I also googled his name and BMW Motorwerks and I have found I am not the first person to have a bad experience with him in the past few weeks.

I really had a good experience at your BMW dealership. In February my salesman Leo Guzman really helped me out alot with trying find the right car for me. I test drove four used vehicles because that's what I was looking for. Then he talked with me about what I liked and what I didn't like about each of the cars. He then suggested another car that I should test drive. That last car that I drove ended up being mine! This is my first BMW and I LOVE my new 2011 BMW!!! Ryan Sicora also did a great job with understanding the type of vehicle that was right for me. Your facility is awesome and I felt very comfortable and everything seemed to work out smoothly. I felt that I was in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time. I have also have my car serviced since them and that was a great experience too. The new car sales consultant was friendly enough, but not at all transparent when it came to negotiating the terms of lease. There were table-turning questions, trips to see the manager, and a refusal to share the money factor, what my down payment was actually going towards, etc. This was the way car buying was 10 or 20 years ago, but not today and should not be tolerated. I happily leased from a different BMW dealer with a completely different sales experience.

I worked with Clayton Nicholson to purchase a preowned 2012 BMW M3. I enjoyed working with Clayton and he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the vehicle. When the vehicle's complicated settings stumped me, he made arrangements for a BMW "Genius" to come to my home to explain the features and even program the garage door opener. I was sitting on the waiting area for ride service they provide, but no one bother to tell the driver that he has a person waiting for him. I have to go and ask around for it. The guy name Tony Esnough is the one who made my experience at this dealership worse than what it was. After I demand to be taken home and he forgot to let me know when my car was ready to get picked up. I again had to call and ask what was going on. He really wasted several hours of my Saturday by just not paying attention to his clients.

The sales person I dealt with was adequate but the finance personnel were awful. Not only did they make me wait about 3 hours, they mislead me about their warranty package and the ease of which it could be cancelled (beware of John Cadle). I knew I shouldn't have trusted them but I figured it was BMW (a Penske owned dealership) dealership and they wouldn't have any need for the shady tactics used by smaller dealerships. I'm afraid I was completely wrong. They were also nice enough to not put on the oil filter incorrectly after an oil change so that it leaked all over my driveway when I got the vehicle home. Thanks guys!!

The salesman I dealt with was adequate but their finance department excelled in misleading people and would not help correct a problem they created! Be careful in signing up for any warranties. They promise the world with ease of cancellation if you should decide against it but it doesn't always work out that way. I guess someone has to support Roger Penske's hobbies. Another interesting occurrence was that they didn't properly put on the oil filter when they changed the oil so it leaked all over our driveway in the next couple days after we had it. Thanks guys!!

Although I purchased my Bimmer from Randy a year ago I always drop by to pay my respects for the outstanding job he's done for me in the past. This particular call was to service my wife's Mini Cooper which required some routine preventive mainenance, Nicholas in service met me as if I was an old friend, talked me through each of the service recommendations and even went through extraordinary measures to hunt me down when I disappeared from the waiting area. I had gone upstairs to look at the new 6 series which he offered to pick up half the payment on provided he had use of it half the time. I love the humor. Anyway, someone's doing a great job of picking your staff.

Listened carefully to the report of the issue (the SOS BMW ASSIST button). Warned that diagnosis might not be quick. Also noted poor fit of the sunroof, and that I was due for wiper blade replacement (THANK YOU!!!). I was not aware of either. The repair of the BMW Assist was fairly complicated, required shipping in a replacement part overnight. Car was ready for me by the weekend.

I had been here on several occasions recently and in the past and received the typical treatment I've come to expect from BMW dealers; Unprofessional with no follow-up. I do not appreciate being judged by the dealer for my own wants, needs, and opinions regarding my next purchase while being told things are my fault for not getting on top of things sooner, which goes back to my first experience of no follow-up.Comments such as this from Dale Stinar, "This program has been available for some time and you could have ordered a vehicle to your specifications. Your decisions have created this situation. Dont blame BMW for the choices you are making in your vehicle search." are directly related to not receiving proper follow-up months earlier. Not to mention BMW doesn't seem to market any of these "Incentive Offers". You only find out about them by coming in and asking questions. I also don't appreciate condescending comments such as this from Dale Stinar, "Really? Saving $1918.69 is inconsequential?" Yes I do find it inconsequential and I don't need to explain why I do, I just do.I get far better treatment when I go in and order a $1500 suit, yet theses dealers act like they can't spend more than a few minutes working a deal in a professional manner as you debate a $65,000 purchase. I will never step foot in this dealership again and quite frankly BMW in general has definitely not lived up to expectations from a customer service issue, which I could go on about in regard to poor design and manufacturing defects which they seem to be OK with. Spend your money elsewhere....

Though the car was listed online, it was being certified which took approximately 3 weeks. Finally, I received the call saying it was ready. Once arriving, all 4 rims were scratched, the running boards were chalk full of speckled rust, the original floor mats were in vehicle and looked disgusting, and the check engine light was on (because they still hadn't updated the software). Once agreeing to fix all the problems, the finance guy charged me a higher rate (BMW was running a promotion and contacted me afterward). I was told it would only take a day to fix the rims but took several and once it was given back, they looked like the original scratched rims. We tried it again and this time a one day fix took approximately 6 more days to fix appropriately. Finally, the entertainment center didn't work. They forgot to give the remote (doesn't sound like they are thorough when certifying) and once I was given the remote (after being given the wrong remote!) the second one didn't work either. I then went to a competent (different) BMW dealership and the guy immediately asked if MW programmed the controller? It was immediately fixed after it was finally programmed with the correct remote. This saga has been going on for approximately 4 whole weeks. They are a nightmare and don't seem to car enough about selling and servicing pre-owned certified vehicles in my opinion. I'm guessing they prefer to sell a new $100k+ car. Through all my troubles, it has been extremely difficult after the purchase to have most people associated with the dealership to return my calls from management to sales. I have purchased many high-end cars from various dealerships and this is by far the WORST experience EVER!!! My best service comes from McGrath who we purchased and services my wife's car.

I live 2 1/2 hours away from the dealer and had been talking to the same salesperson for over a week before being able to schedule an appointment and get the time to drive down there and take a look at a black 2004 Prius. They offered to take a refundable deposit from us to hold the car for us, which I said I was willing to do, but the salesman never followed through with doing it. We missed out driving down there the first weekend due to really bad road conditions (snow storm in Minnesota in December). We drove down on the following Saturday, in yet another bad snowstorm. I stayed in contact with the salesperson via email letting him know we were on our way. We got about 1/2 way into our trip and I get a short email from the salesperson simply saying he just sold the car. Wow. Ok. So much for appointments. From my experience, they will just sell to the first person walking in to the showroom and don't care if someone had an appointment to drive 2 1/2 hours (one-way) to see a vehicle.

It is now 4 days and no phone call...Not surprised!! Go to this dealer as they have a big selection. But once you buy the BMW from them...do not expect any of the 'BMW experience'... they are only interested in selling you the car...not to provide customer service!!!

This dealership is so incompetent, so unprofessional and so unapologetic, that it pains me to dedicate the time to a lengthy summary of my horrendous experience. They arent worth it. As a BMW advocate growing up in a family with an X5 and a Z8 in the garage as I type, I was excited to help my girlfriend purchase her 1st vehicle at Motorwerks. Highlights include: Completely disregarding an appointment made 10 days in advance to accommodate a one-way flight ticket to purchase the car Salespeople at the front entrance in front of customers actively complaining about another seller stealing ups Blatantly (accidentally) changing financing rates when we were there to close the deal. Pretending to not know if BMW had any financing incentives on X3s in place (on the last day of the month when such incentives would be emblazoned in the head of the finance team) Wasting our time with a laundry list of service packages for her to consideruntil I interrupted and asked if a car of her mileage was eligible. The response, Oh, I never looked at the mileage. It was not eligible...and he didnt take the time to look. After waiting hours to for the privilege of purchasing a vehicle form them, we finally got called into the office to complete the transaction and give them moneyonly to find out they pulled the wrong couple in. They promptly asked us to leave the office and continue to wait. This ultimately led to a 4am arrival at my ultimate destination. When voicing complaints including (but not limited to) the above, the salespersons empathetic response was a lot of this wasnt really our fault. This dealership is a disgrace to the automotive industry and an embarrassment to the Roger Penske brand. I am currently in the market for a new car and could not believe that the BMW with the EXACT specifications Im looking for resides at Motorwerks BMW. Sadly, I would rather drive a Radio Flyer wagon to work than give this dealership my business. Sorry, Mr. Penske.

It began Monday morning by a pleasant greeting from Paul. We reviewed the standard service request and discussed in great detail the specifics regarding the wheel and tire balance process to eliminate the noticeable wobble in my steering wheel. I had a short wait for the loaner vehicle and during that time I grabbed a coffee. I was then greeted by David who escorted me to the loaner where we inspected the vehicle before exiting in just under 25 minutes. Efficient, well-structured process with professional representation.

John provide exceptional customer service. However, I am very disappointed with the quality of repair. The passenger seat cover was replaced due to a bad sensor. The new leather cover is loose and wrinkled. I was told that's just the way it is and it will get tighter over time. It looks really bad. I feel that this will have a negative impact on the value of my vehicle when resold or traded. Otherwise the experience was very good.

About a year ago, I bought a low mileage used BMW 645 from Motorwerks. I bought it sight unseen off their website. I talked to Craig Schow and he assured me it was in great shape. I know buying a used car is "Buyer Beware" so when the car arrived and had a couple of problems I did not bother to contact Motorwerks. But later I received an e-mail from Craig and asked for his help in retrieving the service records so I could xxxxx the problem. Never heard from him. Waited. Got another spam e-mail from him. But never a response to my simple request for the cars records. My experience is, so long as you are buying, you are treated well by Craig Schow and his team at Motorwerks.

If I am paying for a premium brand, I expect premium service. No need to wait on me hand-and-feet, but if I ask a question about the transaction, I would like an answer within 24 hours. No response? Then don't expect me to buy a car from you.I have been casually looking for a new car for over a year now. I am a qualified buyer. The premium brand shops (Audi and BMW) have both failed in the customer service department. Nissan provided superior service although I didn't purchase from them. Sales & service represents the brand. When you give crappy service, the brand -- although great engineered vehicle -- can also be tarnished. What happened to Customer Service 101?! The more "mature" (aka older) sales people are worse than the younger generation. There is also a definite difference between male and female sales people. As much as I liked the car, I didn't appreciate the subpar service. So no deal for me or the sales guy. Not sorry, buddy.

Great experience. Had my car shipped from Florida to MSP. Upon arrival I noticed it was running rough and looked up the nearest BMW dealer to see if they could help. I'm just moving up here and had no clue where to go. They got me immediately in, even though they were busy, got me diagnosed quickly, and got me out the door with a loaner. John called that afternoon with an update and followed up the next morning as promised. Everyone was friendly, professional and quick. The service people even replaced my carpet mats with the new rubber mats I picked up in the parts department. I'm working in Duluth, but will take the time to have them do ongoing service on the vehicle.

As in checking in I was helped by the service floor member that assisted me set up the spare key activation for the seat and locks ..my current key had been older and cracked.Brake pad indicater came on the dash, is what had brought me in. I wasnt a surprise to me because Paul as my advisor had mentioned my pads might need some attention, at my last visit to the service center for an oil change. Very grateful for the attention and communications Paul had given my service visits, on both my current and previous BMW. Paul also made sure to use my 10% discount card on parts. Grateful. As well to comment on the other Service Team members at Moterwerks Bloomington yesterday, as things often unexpectedly happened, I and several other customers witnessed a challenge to communication for the Moterwerks customer service desk team. It seemed as the two way radios were not functioning, in the middle of a late afternoon pick up time. Everyone one that team and the advisors shined amongs the chaos !

Skipping to the heart of the matter, I had a deal for a new 2013 BMW M3 with Tom. After it took longer than it should have to send me the credit app, I should known something wasn't right. Of course, he wanted my deposit right away. Anyway, I sent in my the app and waited. With no contact, I had to call back (maybe I emailed) and see how things were going. This was the following day. And Tom said, oh, all looks good and you were approved, I just need to figure out the NC taxes and registration. Of course, I had already told him the tax rate, but ok, no problem. I asked for numbers and or paper work and he said he would get it to me on Monday. Since this was a Saturday, I had to wait until Monday. Ok, makes sense. On Monday, I waited and then finally emailed Tom to ask what is going on. He said they were still working on it, but would now get the paperwork out Wednesday since Tuesday was New Years Day. Still no numbers or anything, but ok. On Wednesday, I emailed to find out it the paperwork had been sent and received an email reply, mind you, no phone call, that the car had been hit by another costumer in the parking lot. Of course, I was furious at this point and told Tom to forget the deal and refund my money ASAP. Additionally, I call the GM, Bob, who knew nothing about my deal or the fact that a customer hit a car in his dealership lot. Seems like an important event that he should know about, but I guess not. I also requested a refund, which he stated they would do. Of course, after trying to retain my business.I spoke with a friend who has purchased numerous vehicles and was helping my find a car and he stated something didn't sound right. I agreed, stating the the website, the car is obviously on the second floor and is visible on their Facebook page. So, he called to inquire about the car and spoke with a different salesman who stated the car was there, but had a sold sign on it. He then asked for this person, Art, to confirm if he physically saw this or if he heard it was sold. Art replied that the car is on their second floor, with a sold tag and he physically went up and checked.So, how did a car that was still on the second floor get hit by a customer in the parking lot? They only had one M3 which was confirmed by more than one person, so there couldn't be a mistake as to which car was "hit". Maybe the customer was doing doughnuts on the second floor and hit my M3. Who knows.Point is, someone was lying and that not the kind of dealership I want to deal with or recommend anyone else deal with. And the kicker to the whole thing is that Tom never ran my credit for the approval. I have recently purchased another, for an even better deal. And when I looked at my credit report, nothing from BMW or anything around the time I sent in my report was on there. What a piece of work. Do yourselves a favor and stay far, far away from this sleazy dealership.

I dropped my car off for an oil change and a check engine light. I wasn't called that day as promised, so I showed up to get a loaner car. When I got home I was called by the adviser to let me know they found the oil leak I brought it in for. The thing is, I didn't bring it in for an oil leak, nor does my car leak oil. I was told there was a crushed oil pan and the repair would be over $1,200. I called the dealership the next morning to let them know I?d be coming to inspect the so-called damage, and they told me that now only the oil pan needed to be fixed for $750. Upon showing up back at the dealership the next morning and inspecting it, I found that there was NOT a crushed oil pan, and they conveniently replaced some of the other parts under 'warranty'. I was blatantly lied to about the oil pan, more than likely to take advantage of me by replacing something that did NOT need to be replaced. After I called out the adviser on the lie, he and the tech backpedaled about the repair and told me now that it wasn't necessary. Service is included with my lease, but I will NOT be purchasing or servicing again at this dealership. EVER. I understand up selling, and finding other things wrong with the vehicle, but telling the customer a downright lie is not appreciated.

I used to be the poor college kid who would drive around the Motorworks lot just dreaming of buying a BMW one day. It's been a goal of mine for 10 years. I just got all my stuff together and it was finally time to get the car. I looked online a bit to narrow my choices. I found one i thought I would like. Test drove her, but realized i was looking for more. We were able to look around a bit and found a complete gem hidden upstairs somewhere in the corner. I ended up getting a 355 with everything I wanted in it! It's the best thing ever! Randy was the bomb, I spoke with him on the phone before i got there and was already pumped. As you can imagine I was really excited, and he definately shared the excitement with me. He knew everything about the cars and was actually super fun to hag out with and test drive the cars with. I was a bit worried about how everything was going to go financing and different things like that because i have never bought a car before. After test driving "THE CAR" i asked him, "Hey, what are the chances I get to drive this home today?" and he said, "Probably around 100%" From right there, I laughed at first but was much less worried and very excited. The financing went great, I was actually willing to even make a larger down payment if needed but everything went well. I am super satisfied with how everything went at the dealership. BMW's are super cars, and you guys got a super staff there at BMW Motorworks in Bloomington, MN. As far as Randy Trochman goes, You guys need to give this guy an award or something! It was a dream purchase for me, Sort of like a dream come true. And he made it happen for me in a fun and exciting way just like I wanted! I can't wait to buy my Next One!

Horrible experience!! Their sales department is OK. However, the service department is terrible. Dealer never resolved the issues with my car. Not the most courteous service personnel. I strongly suggest you try the two other BMW dealers in Minnesota. Bigger doesn't always mean better!

I took my vehicle to Motorwerks as a result of a failure with my braking system that nearly caused an accident. This dealership was the closest dealer at the time of the incident. The service advisor test drove the vehicle and noticed the problem. He returned with his manager about half an hour later to tell me the vehicle was not safe to drive. Despite the saftey issues, the service manager said Motorwerks would not repair my vehicle and asked if I wanted my BMW towed to an independent repair shop. I told the service manager that my car still has BMW warranty and I would need to have the repairs done at a BMW dealer if the defective part is to be covered under warranty. I then called BMW North America and the head of BMW customer relations called the service manager about the situation. The service manager still declined to work on the vehicle. BMW North America then arranged for a loaner vehicle and towed my vehicle to another dealer who performed the repairs. I am dissapointed that Motorwerks would not repair the vehicle despite confirming the vehicle was not safe to drive.

I first started o work with Charlie on finding a Mini, he was very knowledgable, and I could easily relate to him. Loved the personalized attention and past owner recognition at this dealership. After working with Charlie, I moved to Dale whom I lease a 2011 535 from last year. Dale's constant attention to detail, dedication to the account (follow ups) , and persoanlized buying experience would make me want to come back for another car without even batting an eye.

Beware: Motorwerks has been showing a high end car on their website that was actually sold. It is a 2012 BMW 335i, blue, with M Sport Package and many options, stock # E745641. The car has been advertised on their website and cars.com for several months. As of today, August 11, 2012, the car is still showing, but is not available.

Really impressed with the service staff to make sure work was done properly and I was satisfied. even the comment to make sure I helped my self to a fresh peach in the waiting room because they were really good was genuine. After using Moterwerks service for about 1 year - I am confident trusting them with my 3-series. Still under extended warranty and service so no comment on pricing (but the $70 synthetic oil/filter change seems very reasonable).

This was our first time at Motorwerks BMW. We walked in the door and were greeted right away. We were introduced to Art and we told him we were looking for a nice, safe car for our daughter to drive. He helped us find a car that we liked and went the extra mile to make sure it was clean on the inside and sparkled on the outside. I worked with a different sales person the first time I leased a BMW from Motorwerks and had a good experience. I was disappointed that he left but was very pleasantly surprised at how much better my experience was this time with Dylan. He is very easy to work with and didn't make me feel uncomfortable when I had special requests. I am very hopeful to work with Dylan again on my next transaction.

I called in at least one week prior to setup a appointment, arrived at the dealership and explained the problem, then I waited for almost 45 minuts to a hour for the shuttle, the wait is not the proble because I appreciate the shuttle but no one ever came out and informed me of where the shuttle was untill I had to ask. Then that day I had to call to find out the status of my vehicle which was around 3:00 pm finding out they just started on it, why do I make a appointment for ? Found out that it wont be done now I have to scrammble to find transportation, I work in St Paul and live in Brooklyn Park, this put me in a bad spot but I worked it out, next day same thing car wasnt done untill 4:00 pm and I was suppose to be in Coon Rapdids at 6:30, this wasnt going to happen I havent even been picked up , so once again I had to rearrnge my schedule, shuttle arrived at 4:45 and we proceeded to Motorworks, arrived and went to pay the Bill and now the Invoice is incorrect, overcharged, finally got that solved and off I was. Bottom line is no communication and mistakes but the service on the vehicle is great, next time if they cant get to my car at 7:30 then call me before hand so I can make a decesion or reschedule.

I wasnt sure what I wanted but he was very patient with me and he went through a number of options and found the right car for me. Great experience! I just bought my 2nd BMW, first was from a different dealer. This time I wanted to experience motorwerks. After many weeks of test driving, I settled for 3 series convertible. That's when I encountered Rick Kozlowski. He isa remarkable salesman. Do yourselves a favor next time you go to MW.. Insist on dealing with Rick. He is knowledgable, very courteous, and gives you good deals without any haggling. He made my car purchase an enjoyable experience. I've bought 4-5 cars, I've never had anyone take pictures for me and my family in the new car. Believe me, he is phenomenal.

I have been a customer of BMW Motorwerks since 2000 when I bought my first BMW. My car buying experience at that time was horrible and left a very bad taste in my mouth. But I continued to service my car with Motorwerks. Back in 2005 when I was in the process of buying my 2nd BMW, I decided to give Motorwerks a 2nd chance to mend fences sort of speak with me and change my opinion of Motorwerks. Again I experienced a horrible buying experience and in fact I actually flew to St. Louis, MO to purchase my 2nd BMW and the only reason I continue to service my car with Motorwerks is because they happen to be the closest dealership to where I live. So they get my business by default. Up until this point in time the service I have received while servicing my car at Motorwerks has been acceptable. They have done an adequate job over the years but I have never gotten the sense that they would go over and beyond for a customer. I have always had the feeling that they know they are one of only 2 dealerships in town and because of this they don't need to go out of their way to help the customer because the customer really has nowhere else to go. My recent experience with Motorwerks has been the last straw for me. At the end of August 2011 I took my M3 in for service to have my alignment fixed/adjusted. At the end of April 2011 I put brand new tires on my car and noticed that the car pulled a little so I needed my alignment adjusted hence the reason for bring my car in for service at Motorwerks. Recently I noticed that my rear tires on the car were wore out which struck me as very strange since I just put these new tires on the car at the end of April 2011 and the tires had only a little over 11,000 miles on them. I noticed that the tires were wore unevenly. So I took the tires back to where I purchased them to have them look at them. I was informed that the tires were wore out because of bad alignment on my car. So I then took my tires and car back to Motorwerks to see how we could resolve the situation. All I have gotten from Motorwerks is the run around (not that I expected anything less from them given the past history). They are pointing the finger at the tires and will not own up to the fact that the alignment was done incorrectly. I don't care what the "specs" say, which they keep referring back to, the point of the matter is that my "brand new" tires are wore out. I even took the advice of Brett Dahlgren, Motorwerks service manager and got a 3rd opinion from a neutral party. This party was Discount Tires and they confirmed after looking at the tires, that the uneven ware was caused by bad alignment. So at this point all I want is to have my rear tires replaced on my car. It seems to be the least that can be done to rectify an otherwise ugly situation.Very, very dissatisfied customer,Scott Barrett

In all the experiences that I have had with Motorwerks BMW, they have exceeded my expectations. This includes the Service Department as well as the Sales Department. I am particularly impressed by the knowledge Matt Michaelson has with all the vehicles they have. Also, Matt's willing to go the extra mile to get a sale, especially with someone like me. I am not the easiest person to convince that I should be buying or leasing a car. A lot of sales personnel find it hard to deal with me since I am never in a hurry to purchase a vehicle. But not Matt he has the patience required to deal with a person like me.

I live in Illinois and travel to the Minneapolis area frequently. I stopped by Motorwerks on a recent visit to check out a pre-driven Toyota Highlander Hybrid I had seen online. The car was great, and the deal was extremely fair - but even better, was my salesman, Art Hancock, a down-to-earth, straight shooter. He went the extra mile every step of the way, including delivering the vehicle to my hotel for the long drive home to Illinois. Do yourself a favor, and check out Motorwerks. Its one of the most impressive dealerships I've ever seen - 4 floors of beautiful BMW's, Mini's and related accessories. And speaking of beautiful, thanks to Betsy Walsh, the business manager who made the financing and closing deal painless. Poor communication around the timing for a recall/service experience. Supposed to be able to pick up car in an hour and despite telling the dearship twice that I would be back in an hour, they thought they had it all day.After being told it was ready and a shuttle would call in 5 minutes to arrange to pick me up, I had to call back 30 minutes later. After arriving to pick my car up, I had to wait for 30 minutes. Not the typical experience that I've had in the past and one that disappointed greatly.

I imported a used certified 2011 X3 to Winnipeg, Canada. Got a great price. Greg Cline and Drake Jacobson were extremely helpful. Very prompt and responsive to a million questions I had before and especially after buying the car. Went out of their way on their day off to ensure that the papers I needed to import were sent to RIV and US-Canada border which made importing the car a breeze. I went to look at a car for my son at Bloomington, MN. Art Hancock was our sales person. We took several cars and I ended up buying a Grand Prix for my son and an Escape for myself. The car bought for my son had 146,000 miles on it. It has some issues with in 24 hours. I called Art and I brought it back and they fixed it even thought it was sold "as is". Art personally followed up to besure it was taken care of. The processing when purchasing is slow due to the business of the dealership. But maybe that is a good sign that they are busy.

I have had service done on my 2006 BMW 530xi for the past 3 years. The service is good and Dana is always right there when I drop off the car for inspection and check-in, and listens to why I brought the car in. He always ask questions on service I may have overlooked, and recommends what is covered and provides me options and cost estimates. The service is either completed on time or ahead of schedule. Unfortunately service is not cheap on BMW's and for some reason these cars seem to need more service than other cars I have owned. I love the BMW engineering but the it does fall a little short on the quality side.

Stay away from this place. I purchases 3 vehicles from here so its not that I dont know what I am talking about. However they have gotten very cocky, the service level is terrible, they scam you, and forget being treated as a valued customers. You are one more. My last car was a rip off, made in South Africa and I had to bring it back 5 times to be repaired. You would think that they would have done something for a repeat customer; Instead, I had to contact several people at BMW to be given a credit of $250... Trust me when you are paying for a BMW, $250 is not much. Getting in touch with General Manager is a joke. He is too busy playing golf to contact you back. aI got ripped off, dont let them rip you off. BMW motorwerks has terrible service and they dont need your business. Ive emailed them asking for options on fixing the current problems I have with my BMW, they wont even respond to my e-mailsHorrible dealership - not good representation of the BMW brand.

Rick is a great service advisor at a dealership that strives to do it right. He's fair, listens, isn't pushy and is honest as can be. Motorwerks is a full-service dealership that understands "car guys" and "car girls" While they'll give you fancy coffee, polish your shoes and drive you to work, they won't assume those are the only reasons you're there and they're just as likely to circle around an e30 M3 in the service bay and talk about the things that make BMW different than Lexus. Price isn't going to be lowest on street - but they are very competitive on many routine service events and offer real discounts to BMW CCA club members on everything else. Give them a go!

We have just started shopping for vehicles as we will be in the market for one soon. We stopped by the dealership to learn more about BMW and the cars they offered. Art explained the difference with the models and the years. He was very thorough in explaining the vehicles to us. We test drove a 335 and were very impressed with the vehicle and the knowledge Art had about the car. In the end, we decided we weren't ready to purchase yet. When this was explained to Art, he was very respectful. When we are ready to purcase, our first stop will be at Motorwerks to work with Art.

I had been thinking about buying a Mini Cooper convertible for quite some time and had really done my homework on it. I came in on a Saturday with my husband and my dog in tow with no intention of talking to a sales person at all but just wanted to see the vehicles in person that I had researched online. I ended up meeting Clayton Nicholson. Turns out he was VERY busy that day juggling a lot of different people but I certainly didn't notice as he was attentive and helpful. He got the car I was seeking out and I ended up taking a test drive with my husband and my pooch. I loved the car and really got along great with Clayton. We kept in touch via text and email mostly. I think it's important that you can find someone you can really connect with. My father and many in his generation would likely hate an email, wouldn't know how to search the website and would expect a sales person to fall all over him when he walked in the door. Some might not think texting and email is professional but I am totally fine with it. I have always felt, as a consumer, that I have a target on my back so I won't even go into the dealership until I am ready to get serious and I have an education on the basics of the vehicle I am interested in buying. My experience was great! I ended up getting the car I wanted with a a few fun extras. I hope the great service continues. If you head into Motorworks BMW look up Clayton Nicholson. He's a nice guy who will get you the best deal he can.

Service Advisor John Giese genuinely seems to understand my needs as a customer, is very personable and takes immediate action on my concerns. I have worked with other service advisors at Motorwerks in the past, but based on my interactions with John, he puts me at ease and is a cut above the rest in delivering customer delight. I am not a fan of Motorwerks labor pricing at all though and hence the poor pricing rating.

The used car inventory is high quality, and Art found me the perfect vehicle to test drive. I ended up purchasing that car, and my month-long search was finally over! Art Hancock is a unique and thoroughly enjoyable person to deal with when looking for a vehicle. He figured out in a few minutes what car size and price would be good for us and demonstrated his excellent knowledge of the product throughout our visit. We were sold on the BMW within a very short time of our arrival. Even when he knew that we would be purchasing one of the cars, he was still available as long as we needed to be certain which one we wanted, including a thorough "checkout" of the vehicle and it's features and systems and multiple test drives. A most enjoyable experience! We would recommend Art Hancock and Motorwerks BMW to anyone!

The seat heater in my E53 X5 burned through the seat leather and BMWNA flew replacement parts in from Germany to have the problem fixed. I only had to pay for the minimal labor charge. John and the guys at Motorwerks took care of me and even provided a loaner vehicle free of charge while my X5 was being serviced. A+

Ive now owned my new 2012 BMW 550i x-drive for a little over 2 weeks. Shes carbon-black with the sports package and I must say Ive not been dissapointed. What a treat. Having owned 2 BMWs in years past (a 530 & 635) I was delighted to find the driving experience was still the joy I remembered it to be. The car is luxurious and, did I mention, fast! When I want power, its there...all while being wrapped in luxury with superb handling qualities. Plus, the buying experience at Motorwerks BMW in Bloomington was equally as superb. Art Hancock, my sales rep, went not only out of his way, but above and beyond the call of duty to make sure every detail was handled quickly and efficiently. Art worked closely with Todd Koosmann, the detail manager, who made sure my new BMW was is perfect condition. Bud Malin answered, with patience and a smile, every service question I could anticipate. Since I travel extensively to Canada, it was important to decipher the ins and outs of leasing versus purchasing and Todd Cadle, the business manager, made sure my interests were protected and my choice the best possible. And Bob Splittstoesser, the sales manager, was equally as responsive regarding the financial negotiations which ultimately led to my purchase. This was a team effort on the part of Motorwerks...one that I appreciated. Prompt coordination when I drop off the car for inspection and check-in, they ask questions on service I may have overlooked, they recommend what is covered and suggest when I should service the car again, they provide me options and cost estimates. They ask if I need a car or ride. The service is either completed on time or ahead of schedule. I would prefer to work with BMW Motorwerks than with any other service group in the Twin Cities. This is my 3rd BMW purchased and serviced from BMW Motorwerks in the past 12 years. My service experience is always better than I expect. I commend the staff, the management and their superior service and customer appreciation and technical expertise. I stopped into Motorwerks in Minneapolis after searching their site online for a couple of weeks. I was immediately greeted by a fellow named Art and given directions to the Mini area as that was my main interest. I was looking at the Countryman All4 and was approached by Clayton regarding my interest. Clayton asked me what I was looking for, what was important to me and what wasn't important to me. I told him right away that I was in the market for a new, AWD vehicle around $30,000 and that I had already driven (and liked) a Subaru WRX. He said he understood and really took the time to explain all the aspects of the Mini to me, inside and out. I am a current owner of a 2005 Mini Cabrio S, so much of what he had to tell me I already knew, but he did an amazing job of selling the car. During the test drive he was pleasant and professional and was really listening to what I had to say. When I returned home that night there was already an email waiting for me thanking me for my time and he put in a few notes that showed he had paid attention to who I was and what I was saying, which meant a LOT to me. In the end we decided on the Subaru (for now) based on looks alone, but I have been telling my friends and family all about the great experience I had with Clayton. When the time comes to trade in our 2005 Mini, we will definitely be coming back here to do the deed, and I hope that Clayton is still around because he is EXACTLY the car salesman I want to deal with. Thanks to Clayton, Rick, Art, and everyone else at Motorwerks...you didn't sell a car to me today but you sold one to me in the future. Keep up the great work.

I have purchased my first BMW here, 2012 X5 35i Premium. They had the right configuration what I was looking for and they are courteous and helpful. We live in Madison, WI and I called the sales person Art Hancock to inquire about the used car pricing. But he offered a really awesome price for a brand new X5 and none of the Chicago, Madison, Indianapolis and Milwaukee dealers could match the price. He was able to sell the vehicle over the phone and he is really awesome with very good knowledge about what he is doing.You would definitely consider this dealership if you are in the market for BMW vehicle.

Great buying experience. I stopped in motorwerks BMW to look at the 3 series & Anthony answered all my questions + took me for a test drive. The 335 was fantastic & fun to drive. Purchase was pretty much haggle free, I gave my offer with supporting documents & Anthony told me what they could do. From start to finish, I never felt pressured, so I felt really good about my final purchase (and still do). I know these are expensive cars, but I haven't had one iota of buyers remorse. The 335 turbo xdrive is sublime! I'm loving my new car.

We Found our Vehicle on cars.com and contacted the dealer and was set up with a sales agent. Our agent was very wonderful and helpful. We set up a time to come test drive the vehicle and bought it that day. The whole buying process was wonderful and the whole process only took about 3 hrs. Would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

I was dreading the time I would have to spend talking to the stereotypical car salesmen during my resent new car shopping. After visits to Audi, Mercedes and other BMW dealerships, I was pleasantly surprised to find the sales staff at Motorwerks BMW the exception to that rule. There were no high pressure sales gimmicks. Motorworks Mini, through its salesperson Gretchen Tellock, provided us with a great buying experience and a great new Mini Cooper S Countryman All4 model. Gretchen went out of her way to set us up with two test drives, find us the car we wanted in terms of color, options, the All 4 all wheel drive and more and she kept in touch. We were able to get that car in about five weeks instead of waiting two months or more to have one built because Gretchen traded for an already-build car at the factory with another dealer. All in all, I love the car and Gretchen/Motorworks service.

They Fixed my roof on my 2004 330CI Cov. Charged me over a 1000 dollars to do it. They kept calling me back saying they needed more time to figure out what was wrong. Then when they gave me my car back the nav system was broken and my rear trunk can only be open with the key. How do I know they broke it? Because my Nav is locked in on their address. Really bummed becuase I lke them better than the Wayzata Dealership and I live in Minnetonka Area.

I brought my 2007 328Xi into Motorwerks BMW for an alignment check recently and I was very pleased with the whole experience. When I called to set up an appointment I was pleasently surprised to learn that they could get me in the very next morning to do the work. I needed a ride to work once I drop my car off for service and Motorwerks arranged to provide me transportation, using their free shuttle. Within two hours of dropping the car off I recieved a call from John Giese, my Service Advisor informing me they had checked and found that adjustments were needed to the car's alignment and that they had completed the work, setting all four wheels back to factory specifications. When I returned to the dealership to pick up my car I checked in with the Cashier to take care of the paperwork. The Cashier was very friendly and professional and assisted me right away. There was some confusion(on my part)as to whether or not the alignment was necessitated by normal wear-and-tear or by some previous work done by Motorwerks on the car's suspension. In working with John, I was able to resolve this issue to my satisfaction. I would recommend Motorwerks BMW to anyone who is thinking about purchasing or having service done on their bimmers or Mini's.

I would highly recommend this dealership because they will do what they say they will do. I had made offers at three other dealerships and backed out of each one because by the time I made the trip to pick up the car the finance person did not do what he said he would do and added other expensives to the deal. Matt Mitchell assisted me on the car and equipment and Todd (finance Manager) got me the best rate and explained everything very well and got me on the road very quickly. Brian explained how he will address the issue, provided a loaner (great new 535), an estimate and a projected completion date. The work was completed on time and at the estimated amount. The dealer also found an additional problem that was addressed at the same time. This was a great experience!

I purchased my 4 BMW's from Motorwerks! My first being a 2001 325ci that was under the CPO program, then 2 Certified 335ci and my latest one a 2011 M3 convertable! In all my dealings over the past 9 years this dealership has been outstanding! Every time I'm in for anything, service or parts, they greet me promptly, ask if I need anything while waiting or would like to be taken somewhere! In dealing with Ed and Matt on my latest purchase the walked me thru all the possible combinations, options and color choices for my M3 and what each would do for me. The business manager walked me thru my options for lease or purchase and put up with several different quotes so I could make an informed decision. In the end I chose to lease this car for 3 years and I couldn't be happier! The BMW M3 is the most amazing vehicle I've ever dreamed of owning, and Motorwers BMW is the only place I will ever purchase, or have my car serviced at!!! These guys really are the best I've ever worked with!

We have always had a great experience at Motorwerks. We've purchased and leased several cars from them in the last few years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I visited the new Minnetonka BMW dealership because I had heard how beautiful it was. I went and boy oh boy, is it great. But it ends there. We were the ONLY people there and no one ever acknowledged us...almost like it was so big, they had no idea we stepped in the door. We took a quick tour and drove promptly over to Motorwerks to get our 5 series serviced.

I have never felt better about purchasing a used car. Every person I dealt with at Motorwerks understood my search criteria and didn't deviate from that criteria through the entire experience. With each hand-off between these professionals there was clear communication and each person was on the same page with what I had been told from the other salesman. There were no "I need to talk to the manager" shenanegans. The salesman was professional and took his time to explain all of the details of the car, financing options, and warranty. When I was closing the sale the finance manager was exceptional explaining each of the extended warranty options and which ones made sense to consider and why, and also why some of the other options would not be effective. I felt very comfortable through the entire process and would recommend this dealership to anyone considering a new or use vehicle.

I purchased a used BMW 525i in December of 2007. When I asked about the car's history I was told it was originally sold in California and then brought to Minnesota and traded into this dealer. I asked if there were any issues, maintenance, damage, etc. and was told no. I am now trying to sell the car and imagine my surprise when a CarFax report says this:Car imported to MinnesotaCar originally sold new by this same dealer Car was stolen from first owner, recovered with significant vandalism repaired by this dealer.I spoke to the service manager (no one else available) and he confirmed that they were aware of the information and admitted they should have at least disclosed it.As of this writing I have had no offer of compensation for their deceit.Stay away from this dealer or buyer beware!

I am not only reporting these guys to the BBB but the Sec of State as well. We purchased a used BMW 325CI last fall, it was a high pressure sale but my wife just had to have it. After lots of questioning the sales guy , who just happened to lie through his teeth. We got the car home and noticed the heat didnt work well. I called a local repair shop I trust and they said it was in need of a coolant flush. It also needed an oil change right out of the dealership. At this point I was starting to wonder if BMW was any better than the used car dealships off Lake street. Well we got through the winter with some strange vibrations and just got it into the shop. The rear coils and the front control arms are shot. Now something with a $1500 price tag that there was no way for the dealership not to know about it is legally criminal since they lied about it. I dont know if they ever service their used cars before selling them but they dont stand behind them. Oh the best part is this week the insulation around the passenger door started peeling off and you can tell someone glued it with superglue. I think BMW takes in broken down beat up cars so they can make a new car sale. Then uses the worst possible practices to cover up the problems and then sells them to loyal customers after convincing them the car is in great shape. My experience would be to never buy a new or use car from BMW get it from SEARS or Poquet someone thats ethical. The sales manager didnt even return my phone call at BMW. They are low lifes

Called Motorwerks about a CPO 2006 BMW 530i. Joe Schad answered my initial questions. Joe called me later the same day to say he could sell the car for $31,500 and he would pay for my gas to drive up and back (I'm in Madison, WI). A week or so later I called Motorwerks finance and left a message with questions about 1) sales tax (again I'm in Madison, WI they are in MN), 2) out-of-state licensing and 3) my wife's signature on paperwork. Joe calls back (not finance where I left the message) and answers my questions 1) "you don't pay sales tax until you take it home and register it" (false), 2) "you drive it home and register it at a later date" (false), and 3) "your wife doesn't need to be present to sign anything, we will send the documents home and you can mail them back" (false). In addition he mentioned at least 10 times how much money they were losing (THEY PRICED THE CAR AT $31,500 AND I PAID $31,500) and I still have not seen a dime for gas money to drive up and back.To top it off I called the sales manager to complain and guess who calls me back...Joe Schad...guess he's got all the (wrong) answers...

Overall I've had a pretty positive experience there. They've fixed problems other mechanics have either caused, didn't fix or been unable to fix, and they've accepted responsibility when they screw up. They've even paid for me to get a loaner twice when the repairs took longer than they expected. Overall, they seem honest and actually fix the problems with my car unlike other mechanics in the area.

Went in for service on my 760, took 13 days to replace the knock sensor and other parts. BMW had to take the part off the production line seeing that the part is on back order world wide.Paul kept me in the loop on what was happening with my car, when he said he would call he would, would leave detailed messages on my answering machine so i would not have to call him back.Service mechanic had a problem with one of the feul injector gaskets and was let known exactly what was happening and when to expect the car, even though it took 13 days it is still the exact time they expected it to take seeing that they had to get 2 parts directly from Germany.Also have the X5 for a loaner.

Best i have ever experienced. Took care of everything when i purchased the car thru them. Never felt pressure at all the first time going to the dealership, wanting to look at ,4 hours later drive off with a 2001 740iL.<br>Took care of any issuse i had with the car after purchase, free car rentals that are 2004 BMW 3 series.<br>Not the smartest parts department though.<br><br>Everything else perfect.<br><br>Will buy from them again.

I visited once to look at the X5, again to look at the 3series and Z3. -- Each time (the visits occurred within 2 weeks of each other), Kim told me that the vehicles weren't in stock and could be ordered and delivered in 6 months. ---- On my third visit to try to find another vehicle that might be in stock, Kim told me that I "was taking longer than usual to pull the trigger on buying something." -- When I questioned him on his comment he replied with "well, people who buy these cars don't take this much time."<br><br>Later that day, I bought a new Mercedes.

I have purchased three new BMW's in the last four years (1999 M3 cab, 2001 X5, 2002 M3 cab). David in sales is quite helpful, and is the reason I have gone back. They charge MSRP or below (mostly MSRP). However, their service has been very poor, and they totally try to screw you (beyond all reason) on trade ins. (Far more than the other dealer in town).<br><br>I can recommend doing business with David Berger, if you are looking to buy something at MSRP. I cannot recommend trying to trade in anything, or get service

Worse deal ever! Bought car with aftermarket 18" M5 wheels on it and it had a shimmy in the wheels and the clutch. Left the car there several days and they called to say it was fixed. Thier fix was to put 16" OEM wheels on it and told me that they would do NOTHING!! I had to agrue for days to get them to give me $1000, and I had to give them the wheels they put on the car!! They screwed me out of $3,500!!! That was replacement cost!! And they "fixed" the shimmy in the clutch by putting in a new clutch but left the warped flywheel in it!!! They wouldn't do anything to fix it. I will never go there again and any chance I get I will tell others my experiece, they are CROOKS!!!! Oh, and they mark up thier parts OVER BMW MSRP!!! My guess is about 15-20% over BMWs recommended price!! In the parts Dept "Jesse" is RUDE over the phone and in person. Acts like my money isn't green, and he is about 18 yrsold. I have tried work with this dealer being calm and nice EVERYTIME and it gets your nowhere. I here service is good, but wouldn't go there if they were the last dealer on earth I will drive the extra 10 miles to go to SEARS in Minnetonka.
