My niece from Ohio called to ask me to assist her with helping her to buy her first car. Her concern was it being reliable and in good shape so she can get to work and get back in school. Not a problem! Three years ago I discovered New Ride Cars in Evanston when I needed to buy our son his first car to finish his college years in Missouri. We purchased a 2006 Camry and he hasn’t had any problems or issues. So visiting the dealership with a budget, Jimmy highlighted a car that would be perfect and would be closer to our budget than the cars I was checking out. In fact, he remembered me from 3 years ago😊. Jimmy was patient as I educated my niece on how to do your proper due diligence when purchasing a used car and waiting for her to arrive from Ohio. Once there, he patiently allowed her yet another full test drive, then as she signed papers he talked to her about the basics of taking care of a car. Last, he informed her of when to expect the title, what to do when it arrived and how to secure the Ohio license. She did a happy dance as she secured her keys. Last, knowing she had to return to Ohio with the car, he called me in a couple days to make sure she didn’t have any problems. She didn’t! If I or someone I know is in need of a used vehicle in the future, New Ride Cars and Jimmy will be my first move and/ or recommendation! Thanks, Jimmy!!

I spent weeks researching the highest quality cars in the midwest at fair prices. My wife and I drove in from Kalamazoo Michigan to check out New Ride Inc. When we first arrived, the owner was having a genuine conversation with what looked to be a long time customer, we were immediately impressed with what we saw as his valuing customers and relationships. We test drove the car we purchased, and at 100+ K miles, it literally drove like a new ride. Once we were convinced that we found the car we wanted, they walked us through the sales process patiently, and we we even learned about the history of the business and family. We’ve had our car for over 3 weeks, it’s been a wonderful addition for our family. Last, we took it over to our local Volvo dealership to get tuned up, and they were blown away by how well taken the car had been, and told us “see you next year for the next time up”. What an incredible car buying experience, and when we need our next used car, we will be coming back to new ride inc!

We went to New Ride Inc to look at a car for my son. We dealt with Jimmy, and he was wonderful! We've bought many cars, and this was the best experience we've ever had. Jimmy was upfront, honest, and workable. The car was exactly as stated, and listed under blue book value! He made sure we were completely satisfied. I will definitely go back to New Ride Inc the next time we need a vehicle!!!!!

I found a 2008 Volvo S60 on Cars.com and it was located at a dealer in Evanston. I called and told them I was coming by in 2 days and they had the car moved for me from their location in Highland Park for me. When I showed up, the car was ready to be driven and I looked it over and found a couple of very minor issues with the car, which when I told them about, they did not deny and worked with me on the price to compensate for the issues. The staff was very friendly and personable. After I purchased the car, they held onto it for me for a couple of days until I could get a ride down there to pick it up without question and I have been very happy with the car. I will definitely be going back when I am in the market for another car. Would highly recommend!!

The guys were a big help in helping me fully understand & feel comfortable with the Prius & it's battery/hybrid technology. Then, the sales process & negotiation was simple & reasonable. I plan to take advantage of their Prius experience for my maintenance needs.

I have bought cars from more than a dozen Chicago area dealerships. THese guys are small, but good. They sold me a 9 year old Toyota that needed a little work, so as part of the purchase negotiation, we agreed to have them put in new shocks and struts and absorb the cost of parts with no labor charge in the purchase. Unfortunately, one of the struts had a defect that showed up a few weeks later. They fixed it the day my mechanic noticed. Then, a few weeks later, a couple other things need attention on this "AS IS" purchase. Even though it wasn't under warranty or any other form of obligation, Jimmy and his team took care of me. They even gave me a loaner each time I was there, although one of the loaners didn't have A/C on a hot day. Still, they did everything they could to accommodate my schedule. They did a great job and ate the cost of the work. They care about doing the right thing. You see lots of repeat customers there including cops and business people who could probably afford high end dealerships. But, they obviously see the value in this kind of customer service. The selection is smaller, but, they seem to be picky about the cars they bring in, so you know they have checked them out thoroughly. When it comes to buying a car, you want to know your dealing with people who have integrity and a good sense of fairness. Well, check out these guys.

I recently purchased a car from New Ride. The car was as described on the web site. I test drove the car and noted a few things, which were taken car of immediately. Price negotiations were quick and my trade in was taken in at a fair price. After driving the car a week, I noted an issue with the brakes that I wanted taken care of. Again, we came to a very fair resolution, the brakes were fixed in one hour while I waited, and I am very happy with my purchase. There will always be issues with buying cars and especially used cars. But if you can have people who are willing to deal with you, willing to be fair in their dealings, then the process of buying used cars can be a good experience. I had a good experience with Jimmy and New Ride and I believe the experience will be an on-going good thing.

Mostly Auction cars and different than advertised. Surprisingly, customer service is fine but shady specs of cars. Hard sellers. Will avoid this dealer.,

Horrible service it took them 4-5 days to return my call and they tried to underhand sell me a vehicle that had been in 2 or more accidents.
