I had made an appointment for tire rotation, oil change and inspection. When I arrived I was told they could not do the inspection. Alton Owen Jr. offered to pick up my car from my office the following week to take care of the inspection. He even offered to pay for the inspection if I had it done at another location. When my car was finished the ticket was marked paid and I was told Mr. Owen had taken care of the cost. I was treated very well and will continue to use Owen Ford for my 2015 Ford Explorer. I am always pleased with all of your pleasant staff. They portray traits that tell me that they care about me and providing the best service possible for my Taurus. I appreciate their professionalism. I did not mention this to the service people because they were only doing what they felt needed to be done. I had however just been into the dealership in September to have some work done and had the oil changed at that time. When I brought the car in for inspection this month they changed the oil again. I did not bring it to their attention that it had been done the previous month, so I accepted the fault as mine since I am sure that that is standard procedure when doing an inspection. Normally this would have been the case for me, but since I had put so much mileage on the car because of Dr visits, and had more to come before the October inspection, I had them change the oil due to mileage in Sept. My fault. I would and have recommended the Owen Ford Service Department to others.Connie Harrell

My appointment was set for 2:00. I took my car down in the morning and left it there. At 11:00 they called to say they had serviced it. I was so appreciative they had gotten to it earlier. Everyone was very courteous and ready to help me. Thanks for a wonderful small town dealership.

Since I brought my new 2013 Ford Fusion, First, I was very pleased with the salesman that dealt with me. I then started to use Owen Ford for any service needed to the vehicle. I think the service dept. has been outstanding. Have built up sort of a great relationship with the Service Manager, Shirley Gill. I have a few recalls on this vehicle, but parts are not available at this time. Parts are supposed to be in, during month of October. Shirley and I talked about it, and once parts are in and the service dept. is sort of slow, she will call me and I will bring car in and leave it, for repairs. This makes more sense as once complete, it involves one trip for me, plus it gives the service dept. work during a slow period of work. I like also that there is a detailed record of any service or repairs made at Owen Ford. All Owen Ford employees speak to you when they pass you and the coffee is great also. Richard Fraley Emporia

Having been a service customer for three other Ford products, I have been impressed with the "small town" approach that Owen Ford provides. The experience purchasing my 2014 Fusion was the best I have had in over 30 years of buying vehicles. Unlike the large dealerships, Owen Ford treats you more like family than just a client. I will definitely tell folks in Richmond or Norfolk to come to Owen Ford to purchase their next vehicle.

My "Check Tires" light came on as I was driving to work. Later in the afternoon I went by Owen Ford and they were able to check the tires and the pressure in them and send me on my way. Every time I take my car in to be serviced whether it's a simple thing or a major repair the service technicians do everything they can to do it properly and quickly. This was one of my first experiences purchasing a vehicle without the knowledge and support of my father, a retired banker/financial advisor. When I walked into Owen Ford, I was met with respect and was treated in a professional, yet gentle manner from the salesman. Rick never pressured or pushed me towards any particualr vehicle. He was attentive and listened to me when I was describing what I was searching for when considering my next car. When I did decide on the Ford Edge, my purchasing experience with the financial department was fantastic! They were organized, timely, and attentive to explaining everything to my satisfaction. My experience left me with a feeling of sincerity and trust, in that the employees and owners of this dealership put my needs and expectations above just another sale. I bought a 2013 Fusion from Owen Ford 2 years ago and their entire staff bends over backwards to make me happy. I did extensive research before making my purchase so I knew they gave me the best price, and it didn't require haggling. The Fusion has not needed any major repairs but I have used Owen for routine maintenance. Their service department knows how to treat customers. I won't go anywhere else.
