I visited the dealer and dealt with the manager, Steve. I looked at a Toyota RAV 4 and Steve toldme "we have the Carfax." I bought the car without looking at the Carfax trusting that they wouldonly sell cars with a clean Carfax. So much for trust. The car had a line of rust on the bottom ofthe door, not usual for Toyotas, but again, I was still trustful. I had the car fixed at Maaco and itcost me $300. Several months later I traded in the car and was quoted a price that was fair. Then thedealer showed me a Carfax indicating the car had been in an accident several years before. Theoffer was then lowered by several hundred dollars. I went back to Steve and I told him that I wasat fault for not looking at the Carfax. He replied "you were not at fault for not asking to see theCarfax and Oxendale was not at fault for not showing it to you. Integrity? You be the judge!
