Jordan gaul was more than amazing!, he got me the exact car I wanted even when we didn't come to agreements on my first visit he actually took the time to find my car and a week later he called me! He called me back that's what I call determination to provide great service. He was extremely polite, respectful, and shown a genuine concern on what we were asking for. I was recommended to him from a a good friend and I couldn't think him enough for introducing me to Jordan! When I had went in to get a new car, as normal, people were telling me to look around. Pat McGrath has a big name here in Cedar Rapids, and it may not always be a good thing. But I stuck to my gut. I didn't pull into Chevyland to buy my car from a big name dealership. I pulled into Chevyland for one certain salesman. Kevin Starks. I needed a car within two days. I was getting it on my own, not a lot of money to put down, and no one to consign for me. Let's just say it wasn't the easiest. But Kevin didn't just say, "I'm sorry but this is impossible". Instead he made it possible. Within two days I was driving off in my own 2012 Cruze and I couldn't have been happier, especially with the cards we were dealt.When asked the question, would you refer this dealership, I hesitate to answer. The reason being. I would recommend ANY dealership Kevin worked for, not Chevyland alone, although I personally have never had a problem with them either. Kevin is just a very passionate salesman an unlike the rest, he makes sure he puts his effort into getting you exactly what you want, for the best price (not the best price for his pocket!)

What I thought would be a very stressful day for me in trying to find a car, turned out to be quite the opposite. Kevin really listened to what I wanted and put absolutely no pressure on me to buy. He only showed me cars that I wanted to see and really made sure I got what I wanted and got me something that was going to last a long time. It's been almost two years now since I purchased my Malibu, and I still get hand written cards in the mail from Kevin just making sure everything is still going great. I've had no problems at all with the car and it has really been the perfect choice. I highly recommend Kevin to anybody looking for a new car.

Our lease was coming to an end, and my husband and I decided to go on a Saturday late afternoon to see what was available as we had just moved from western Iowa to the area. My husband and I went to McGrath's by mistake and decided to look around when Nate came out to talk to us. We told him we were just comparing prices he said that was fine and handed us his card. We went back when they had their big sale and everyone we encountered was awesome. Nate and Sean were awesome to deal with. Nate stayed with us the whole day and we didn't leave until 8:00pm he was still there even though he had flooding going on at his house. Pat McGrath should thank the good lord up above for sending Nate to him. Excellent personality, Excellent Salesman, Honorable, Funny, and Very Understanding human being. The sales associate, Nate First, was my first contact. I came to the dealership just to look. He was very patent as we drove 3 different vehicles. I really liked the last vehicle so we started negotiating. I was expecting a it of pressure and the usual "sales games: but that didn't happen. We were able to negotiate a fair price and to have 3 items either repaired or replaced. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and I certainly will come back if I need another vehicle

You hear patience is a virtue...but I don't have any. I walked in after emailing off and on for over 2 months with no action on my part. Nate was all smiles when I finally did come in. I was treated with the utmost respect and he worked quickly and diligently to make sure I was taken care of. I never thought I'd be approved for any car, let alone used, but never did I think that a "friend" like Nate existed in the car buying world. The loaner car they gave us had a tire blow out on it . Spent an hour gettin my McGrath loaner car fixed at Rydell Chevy in Waterloo ....poor experience overall .... It was an over all fair experience. Everyone was very friendly and they did a lot to make sure it'd fit my budget, only issues; I had made my appointment for a specific vehicle and that vehicle wasn't even at the lot- so I wasn't able look at the one I was there for. Also they only showed me one vehicle after I had asked multiple times to see different ones; their reasoning was my price range. Love the Equinox I ended up getting but, don't like the way they handle some other aspects of the process.

I can't say enough great things about Pat McGrath Chevyland. First, I was late to my first appointment but when I walked in the door there were multiple people standing there waiting to help me. After a long night of looking and test driving cars I finally found the perfect one. Nate First never doubted my ability to purchase a car (which would be common since I'm 19 years old, and a full-time nursing student.) I previously had a 2007 Toyota Camry and the process to trade that vehicle in was as seamless as it could be! It was very easy to pick out what vehicles were the best fit and after looking at multiple cars, Nate found one that met all my preferred requirements! Once I found the perfect car, Nate worked to hard to make the payments in my price range, after a couple days I received a text stating the car of my dreams was finally mine! I can't thank Nate enough for all the hard work he did to get me the car I had my heart set on! The process of buying and signing paperwork went smoothly and I was able to pick up my Certified Pre-Owned Chevy Malibu today! I will definitely be recommending everyone I know to Pat McGrath Chevyland! I can't thank everyone enough for their business through the process of purchasing my car!

We sold our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu to our grandchildren and wanted to replace it with another Chevrolet, possibly another Malibu. We started looking at Chevrolet models at Chevyland when Ed Miles came out to help us. He showed us many models and let us set inside of several to get the feel of the model comfort level. We needed to think over the information so left without any more serious considerations. Ed didn't pressure us and in fact did not even get our name to get into contact with us again as many car salesman will usually do. I respected Ed for this gesture. We thought about the information we got from Ed and in combination with a big rebate posted on the website, we decided to consider an Impala. We got in contact with Ed and told him about our preference. He helped us make a decision without any undue pressure to purchase. We made our the agreement and followed through with the purchase. I am not a fan of OnStar and do not like to go through the process of activating this service. I will now have to go through the process of dealing with the cancellation when the free service is terminated. I am not a big fan of extended warranties either, but in this case we did take an extended warranty on the electronics. Since there are so many electronically controlled devices in the vehicle and with the bump and grind of travel I am sure there could be possible problems with some of the electronics in the future.In conclusion, we were very happy with our experience at Chevyland and with Ed Miles' help in making a significant purchase in our lives. We have made many car purchases in the past 50+ years and I usually dread going through the salesman hassle, but in this case it was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for all considerations you have given to our purchase.

Just bought my 7th vehicle from the McGrath family, and couldn't be happier. Very helpful like always, no stupid sales tactics, they just listen to what my needs where and found me the best they had to offer (which was a better option then I had found on there website). There was very little back and forth, I told them what I wanted to spend and they made it happen. During paperwork they actually told me about how I could get money back from an earlier purchase and helped me file that paperwork as well. We were lied to. We were told we did not qualify for financing for cars with lower miles. NOT true! We did qualify at another dealership for MANY cars, in a higher price range and with VERY low mileage. We were lied to multiple times. This location made us wait for hours waiting for "negotiations". The dealership we ended up buying from was so much more down to Earth, did not lie, and negotiations took a maximum of 4-5 minutes. This was a joke and we were treated with disrespect just because we are young and don't know as much. Salesmen would also talk negatively about customers in the open, they must not have known we were right there. What was said about us behind closed doors?! We left feeling really disappointed in what is such a "well-known" name. I highly recommend going somewhere else!

Looked at a few different cars til I decided to go with the Malibu. Didn't feel like I was dealing with a salesman at all more like dealing with a buddy got to know him pretty good that day after spending a good 5-6 hrs there going through cars until he found one I liked and was happy with and in my payment range etc. calls or shoots me a text every few weeks to see how I'm doing, how I'm liking the car, any issues at all. Woke up one morning and decided to buy a car. Granted, I was not ready just yet to go for a full commitment. But I contacted the dealership with my choice via phone call, and was assigned to a specific dealer. Jordan Gaul at Pat McGrath Chevy Land of Cedar Rapids. He worked with me for 6 months until I was ready. Sending me emails of new versions of what I was looking for, contacting me occasionally to see where I was at in the whole idea, and making sure we had found one for the right price yet still being a good vehicle. My car style had changed twice. I found the car I wanted, though stubborn on the price, they did have an offer that was irresistable. Came in for a test drive, they had my name in the vehicle. Test drove it and noticed that the car had a rattle in the front. Concerned, I had a second opinion after I bought it. Rookie move I know. BUT! After the second opinion and found that that was the only thing wrong, (sway bar) and knowing that the dealer had known it was there, and that the warranty hadn't quite kicked in yet, they fixed it at the dealership for no charge, which I had figured is good business practice. The certified repair place in its own was high tech and did feel like being in a doctor's office and very impersonal. I arrived at repair place expecting usual 6 guys in a garage. Maybe it was just my expectations. Everyone there was helpful if I had questions, but quickly brushed off after a brief response. In and out of there in 2 hours. Not too bad. Over all experience was not by any means bad. Jordan basically held my hand the whole way and I already know if there are any other questions or issues I can contact him. I ended up with a 2012 kia forte. Happy as a clam with that vehicle and the price was high. But the warranty was worth it. It came with the car but was still a good buy. If you are ever to do business with this dealership, like any used or new car dealership, just mind your P's and Q's, dot your I's and cross your T's. And NEVER buy a car by yourself. Someone else's opionion is always helpful and may pull you out of a bad situation. I will admit I was very lucky so far.

these ungrateful idiots sold me a hunk of junk, disguised as a good car. I went to look at 2013 Malibu's and what do they do, show me the most tricked out, expensive car on the lot. I was only 21 had no credit, only made $10 an hour and they wanted me to buy a $26,000 car. After they came to there senses and realized that i couldn't even come close to affording that car they take me to the used car side of the dealership were they proceed to show me a 2010 Chevy Aveo. I should've known the fix was in during the test drive when going 40 miles an hour the car starts moving side to side, like a fishtail in the middle of summer. Then after I sit and wait all day for them to run my paperwork, I find out that this car that should've been listed at $8,500 dollars was actually listed at $15,000. Then after they sell me their "OlympicCare" service package, they charged me every time I came back for service. What is even worse is that years later, after I gave the car back to the bank because it was going to cost more to fix than the car was worth and I couldn't afford the $400 dollar car payments and to put gas in it every week, i go back to look at a 2005 Malibu and the salesman had the gal to tell me they didn't make any money, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!, I MAY BE YOUNG BUT I WASN;T BORN YESTERDAY.

Having leased several vehicles from our sales consultant John Travis he always lets us know when there is an advantage to trade our car for a newer model. This was also the case with our recent Malibu.When we arrived for our appointment John was busy finishing with a previous customer so Scott was gracious enough to bring the car we were considering to the front and proceeded to explain the new features of the 2016 Malibu. He also was willing to take us on a test drive until John was finished. John was able to get us a great deal with all the incentives. It's not often you can get a new vehicle for a cheaper payment. Thank you John for your persistence. We dealt with Spike for the financial part of the transaction and we was extremely pleasant and made the process easy . Did an excellent job of explaining everything. We also had a very nice conversation with Derek Fox and found that he is from the Quad Cities as are we so we had familiar bond. All in all a great buying experience. I think this was the easiest one yet.

I brought my truck in for a routine oil change on my 2010 Chevy Silverado. I've been impressed with McGrath's and feel confident in the job your service department does. This last time as they were putting truck on hoist they hit an arm and ruined a tire. You guys made it right with me and replaced two tires. I appreciate that. Mistakes happen and you guys made it right with me. Thank you. I did not receive a car wash due to it being below 25 degrees and was told I would get a voucher, which I did not receive but I have not contacted the service department yet about this. other than that, not my greatest experience there but it was corrected which made up for it. Been looking for sometime for a Charger that I liked, that had the bells and whistles I wanted. Just happened to be driving through the lot and Tony Westbrook came out to see if he could help. I have been through these lots many times over the last year and have been approached by several salesmen. Tony wasn't high pressure, didn't try to sell me something I didn't want or need, he asked what I was looking for and said he would see what he could do to find it. It was actually on the lot, but new to the lot so wasn't in the system yet, by the time I was back and hour later, he had the car up front, gassed up and ready for a test drive. My test drive was awesome, I live out of town and my test drive consisted of that route and an inspection done by my husband, who was still working. I have never liked a limited test drive and to be able to work it out this way meant a great deal. He was willing to work with me and went out of his way to assure that my questions were answered and told me some tips and tricks about the car. If I know of anyone looking, I will be giving them his card. I am a new customer to Pat McGrath and Tony is the reason for that. A day or so later I had a couple of questions on the finance side of the purchase and was able to work with Spike, he was right there to help and made the difference for me. I can honestly say that I was very happy to work with both gentlemen. Hang on to these guys, they ROCK!

My wife and I came to McGrafth Chevy Land looking for a good reliable used car to replace a company car that I was losing due to an internal job position change. My wife and I had past credit issues that really effected our options as far as obtaining credit for a car or truck that would fit our tight budget. The service center sucks! They don't call back as they say, quoted wrong price for damages, no update calls on vehicle or an estimated time frame car would be done, had to keep calling to see what's up, after being told I would get a return call. Never called back until the next day with wrong information, left the rest up to my son's dad to call because I am fed up with them and there response to things, it's courteous to return call, and have correct info before blurting out fictitious quotes! Should have went to Andrews Collision, next time I'll follow my first mind!

Miscommunication between Trenda and the service center yesterday. I brought my vehicle in the morning like we had set up, and when I showed up, they were clueless on why I needed to bring my Trax in. I was unsure because I was dealing with several insurance companies the day we set up this appointment. It shouldn't matter though. Anyway, I left with my Trax. An hour later I get a call saying sorry about the miscommunication, luckily I had time to bring my Trax back so they could put the coating inside and outside the vehicle. It was all kind of a waste of my time. Otherwise, everything else has been great.

The Collison Center repaired a body and paint defect - rust under the paint on the rear quarter panel. The Service Manageer also reached out to GM to see what GM could do to warrant the defect. I was assisted with a 25% coverage on the defect. Not what I was hoping for based on the service record and personal care of my truck.

This is my first car buying experience ever as I have never bought a car before. I had been eyeing the Camaro for some time now and finally got the courage to walk in for a test drive. I've heard horror stories of dealers ripping people off and only wanting to make a sale. Therefore, naturally I was quite skeptical and had my defenses up when I came to McGrath. I found that not to be the case at all when I came in and asked for a test drive. I'm quite picky, so I knew what I wanted. Paul Hachey and his manager were more than willing to patiently work with me in fulfilling all my needs. McGrath initially did not have what I wanted in stock, but they looked around and helped me find the one that matched my requirements. They were able to tag it and bring it in from another dealership. Paul and his manager had worked out a sweet price for me as well, cheaper than what the other dealership was offering! I was more than excited. I will be going with Paul and this dealership in the future for all my automotive needs. Overall it was great first time experience. Thanks so much !

After purchasing my Equinox, there was a windshield wiper blade issue and no caps on the tire stems. After contacting Cody Moenk, my original salesman and great to work with, too, he told me he would not be working that day but assured me that anyone at the dealership would be able and happy to help me. Tony Westbrook went out of his way to help me with those two issues, washed the car, and made sure I understood how the dashboard menu worked. He also checked on the oil level and found out that it just hadn't been reset after being changed prior to my purchase. Thanks for going out of your way that day, Tony!

I loved the fact that my sales person is good at what she does, however, I did not like the fact that when I had a problem it seemed as though I was being written off & ignored since the vehicle was already purchased. I did not like having a problem and having to fight for the sales person to listen to what I was saying, & to get back in touch with me.

This was a return trip of my Equinox for a troubling fuel gage, which would not work, and would trigger the check engine light. I can't say enough good things for Chris Morahan & Adam Bilsland, who bent over backwards to take care of my needs. My wife and I were leaving for Chicago the next day to spend the 4th with our daughter and her family, who we hadn't seen in four months. They put us in a very nice Malibu for the trip, and when we got back that weekend, our Equinox was ready, and it has worked fine since. It was a tricky fix, too complicated to explain here, but the technicians who worked on it should also receive special recognition for their efforts. I have always been well cared for at Pat McGrath Chevyland.

This was the first time I shopped at McGrath. Tyler Feldman was very helpful and patient with me. I liked that Tyler didn't try to push me to get a quick sale. I looked at several vehicles and drove a few different ones. I found a 2012 Equinox and I love it! Tyler made sure the Equinox was ready to go on the day we picked it up. I only gave 3 stars because the gentleman who did our paperwork for the Equinox was not people friendly at all. He never smiled and was very impersonal. We had questions about the title transfer and realized we it was done differently. We apologized and the gentleman didn't even acknowledge our apology. I will not deal with McGrath again if we have to deal with him.

I purchase this 09 Equinox in March of this year and this is the first experience with McGrath service. The service came with a tire rotation, it was simply a move the front tires from the front to the rear. Now I know why you put new tires on the front of the vehicle before it was purchase. The older tires are cupped from bad wear and now that they are on the front of the car the thumping road noise is incredible. First, why did you not do the power X rotation method instead of the just move the front to rear on the same side? What can you do about the bad tires on the front of the vehicle now? Most likely nothing.

I drove about 2 1/2 hours to this dealership on just seeing a car on their website. I met Jordan Gaul there and he helped me with everything! I went there for one car but became sold on a completely different one. I couldn't take my car home that day due to some detailing needing to be done, so Jordan had it delivered to me so I didn't have to drive back there. My vehicle is experiencing the infamous 5.3 oil consumption issue. The oil consumption caused my engine to miss fire and loss of power. Pat Mcgrath had a very busy schedule; however, they understood my emergency and was able to pencil me in and have the issue resolved. I really appreciate Pat McGraths accommodation and alteration to their schedule to help me repair my vehicle. I just want to say "thank you" to the service advisor Eric Lorimer. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Anyone reading this I would highly recommend asking for Eric Lorimer as your service advisor.This is the second time I have had to bring my truck in for the engine miss firing and loss of power due to oil consumption. Luckily I wasn't very far from the dealership both times; however, next time I might get stranded on the side of the road in the middle of no where. I've lost confidence in the reliability and the quality of my GM vehicle. I'm highly disappointed in GM's three step band aid approach to solve their oil consumption problem because it is a burden and an inconvenience for me.A "ROCK" is solid straight to the center of its core. At the center of my Chevrolet Silverado is a bandaged black bleeding heart that's one quart away from having a heart attack. I've been a loyal GM owner for 18 years, but because of this issue I'm not sure if I will be BOW TIE SHOPPING!

In February decided it was time to replace my '08 Jeep. I called Jordan Gaul who was happy to chat. After a few test drives and careful attention to my laundry list of wants & needs in a newer Jeep, Jordan found just the perfect '12 Jeep for me. Always get excellent service. I would say the only bad thing is when trying to schedule & my call gets transferred to call center. I want to talk to someone that can pronoune my vehicle correctly & my email company, which is local. The day I was in I just wanted to be worked in and the only way to get this done was to ask to be transferred to the actual service dept. I would much ratherbsit on hold for a minute then deal with the call center. Beth does a great job of always taking care of me. I guess I need to get her direct number.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised on the quality of the service. It was as fast and professional as the service manager described. Disappointed in car for following reasons: the car smelled like smoke and had not been deionized by time car was on lot , drivers side power window switch was broke, and gas tank was hard to fill. I went looking for a new pick up. Not sure what kind or where, but I knew I was going to buy one some where. Tony approached me started talking to me, he did ok, I said I'm looking for a new truck and I'm going to buy one. He showed me a used truck truck, then a new one. I think he could tell he was loosing my interest because then he did the smartest thing a young salesman could have done, he went and got Andy the new car sales manager and introduced him to me. My truck buying exsperance went from not so good to very good very fast. I was impressed with 3 things 1) Andy Burns knowledge and awareness of the Chevy trucks inside and out, 2) The the 2014 Chevy trucks and $$$ 3) mostly with Tony for realizing he wasn't going to win me over and doing the smart thing and asking for help. I'm not writing this to get Tony in trouble I'm writing this because he should be praised for doing what it takes to get the job done. Also I did go look at a truck at Deery Brothers, Very bad exsperance if you want the details ask Andy, he in fact saved me from what could have been a very big mistake. I've worked with Jordan in the past and last week was able to find a suv that I like and that can do all I want it to and still get 30 mpg. Jordan is not a pushy salesman that just gets you in a vehicle for any numbers that most salesmen have to meet. He will listen to you and show and discuss all vehicles that meet what you want your vehicle to do. I'm disappointed by the design of the Suburban seat heaters. When you warm the car by remote start, the seat heat is barely noticeable. If GM is looking for customers to say "Wow" when they get in their vehicle, they completely underwhelm me with that change. The service tech at the dealership was helpful by explaining it, but the designers blew it.

After our internet request we were contacted by Jordan Gaul and arrived at an agreed price with no drama at all. The paperwork process was painless and we arranged for the car to be shipped to NC.Upon arrival we found some significant body damage to the drivers door and I was very concerned that I would have a long road ahead of me to resolve the problem. Tried to make a service appointment to have two safety recalls, I hesitated do this because of their reputation; but they were close by and I thought how difficult could this be. Never did get past the lady who answered the service phone, she wanted all of my personnel information including home, business, cell phone number and Email address all the while being rude and condescending. Next on the list was the recall numbers I wanted to have repaired, all I had was NHTSB #"s. I was told they were the wrong numbers and that she needed GM #:s. I told her the correct way to do this anyway was by the VIN of the car so she could pick-up any other recalls I was not aware of but she told me no I needed the correct GM #S. Well I finally figured out all they wanted was as much personnel info they could get and not doing a recall repair. Hung up the phone called another dealer and gave them my name and VIN # -- and made a friendly appointment-- was done in a few minutes, just like it is suppose to work.

He listened to my concern and I could tell he was passionate about customer satisfaction and personally cared about my situation. This conversation as well as Gavin helping to resolve the issues with my vehicle have changed my views regarding this company. I appreciate being treated as a valued customer and am now comfortable doing business with them in the future and recommending them to others.Initial ReviewPurchased a 2010 Chevy Malibu less than a year ago. Within a month car was in shop with a power steering issue. At that time I was told my vehicle had a 5 year warranty and so the repair was covered. Now, check engine light just came on with codes of ABS disabled and random cylinder misfire. Called service department and they say this will NOT be covered under 5 year warranty because there is a seperate 3 year warranty it would be under that I was never told about and has already expired. Looking online this issue is common with Chevy engines, so why hasn't Chevy done a recall? And why won't Pat McGrath Chevyland take care of me as a customer on a vehicle I have had for less than a year? I am actually in the market for another car but will not do business with Pat McGrath Chevyland if they won't stand behind the vehicles they sell and stand behind what they told me the warranty was to begin with. It's Christmas time and I don't have the money for car repairs, and I didn't expect to have to within a year of buying a 2010 Chevy. So now I have a useless chunk if metal sitting in my driveway and still have to make payments on it. From their website "Since opening our doors, Pat McGrath Chevyland has maintained our solid commitment to our customers". I highly disagree and am a very unsatisfied customer and will never do business with this company again. If they were really committed to their customers they would stand behind a vehicle they sold me less than a year ago.

I flew up to Iowa this morning from TX to purchase a 2008 Corvette Z06. My intention was to buy it and drive it home. I start looking over the car after the salesman (Jordan Gaul) told me it was flawless over the phone. "Trust me, it is perfect" he says. I immediately see scrapes on the front bumper and an area where the paint had spidered from the bumper flexing after an impact. I also see a huge scratch in the leather on the passenger seat. He tells me he didn't notice it. Are you kidding me? I hate liars. So I flew 850 miles and might as well drive the car.... What do you know; it grinds going in to first gear bad. At this point I am frustrated. We drive over to the service area and the service manager comes out and confirm the car needs to have the transmission removed and rebuilt. I am pissed now. I have been deceived and their product was completely misrepresented. I tell the salesman that at this point I am ready to go back to Dallas. He offers to pay for my gas home and says "will you just buy the car?" I told him if paying for my gas is all you are offering, then we are way off. He says he can take $500 dollars off our negotiated price. I call Classic Chevrolet in Dallas and get a quote for $1,000 to repaint the front bumper and fix the seat. If I had this done the car would not have original paint and could turn off future buyers if I was to sell the car. People don't want cars of this caliber that have had major repairs done. No one wants to buy a car with problems. So I tell the salesman Jordan Gaul that I want $1,000 off to cover the repairs since I was looking at another $550 flight home. Get this: He laughs. I told him to take me back to the airport and I'm leaving. So $1100 later and many hours wasted, I am still looking. This place will not get a good review from this guy.

It was about 10:30 Saturday AM. I was on my way into town from Central City when the low tire light came on for the right rear tire. I was told if I could get there right away they could look at it. (I needed to be able to get to church Sunday AM since I was scheduled to greet that morning.) I came in right away. They found a "foreign object," patched the tire and sent me on my way. And I was able to get to church on time Sunday.

I had an unusual experience when bringing my car for an oil change. The oil cap was broken; Beth was excellent, she put me in a rental while the cap was overnighted. She had me back in my car the next day. But, I noticed my oil change light was still on and she and another service rep waiting after hours on a Friday to make sure everything was okay and they fixed the issue. I was working with Jordan on two different Malibu's they had for sale. I decided to make the 5 hour drive to check them out and ending up purchasing one. I was hesitant to work with such a large dealership at first since I am used to small town ones, but Jordan made me feel like my purchase was just as important to him as me. The folks at the dealership are doing a great job as far as their service, however the repair prices are disappointingly high. I am far more disappointed in GM for the design flaw that has caused the expensive problem that I now face with my Impala. I live on a gravel road and the dust has filled the charcoal canister in the fuel tank and plugged the system, making it a little inconvenient to fill the fuel tank (must be done slowly). Roughly $740 to have it fixed since the fuel tank must be dropped and it will happen again within a couple of years. I will be searching for other makes that do not have this problem. Since I do not intend to move I will not have this repaired and most likely will not purchase another GM.

Went in there today and wanted to test drive a 2014 Mustang they had on the lot. First they had to appraise my vehicle which i had bought from Dodge Country a few months prior thinking i would get a decent trade in price....Not even close!! Oh but of course they need to pull your credit first even though they hadnt shown me any numbers. Their offer? $24000 under what i paid for the truck. They couldnt have told me that before pulling my credit? These people will submit your information to banks without even having consent as i learned from dealing with the Marion Used Car lot. I was a loyal customer and they had my information in their computer and i pointed out i wanted to trade in a vehicle and get a truck on their lot. No papers were signed on a price they were wanting to get or anything. Started getting denial letters from banks and they were trying to get an approval for $40,000 on a $31,000 truck!! No wonder it got declined!! And this with no permission to do anything....Isnt that illegal??Anyways back to the original story....I intentionally asked to see numbers before they pulled my credit because i knew there would be inequity. If it was too much i would walk away....nut oh no they wanted my credit before i saw any numbers and then they wanted my wife to cosign. Whats that going to do with $20,000 in inequity??I only rated an Excellent on the Friendliness because they are pretty nice until you buy the car but dont expect much except for things in the mail for their referral program after the sale.I have bought around 10 vehicles from the Mcgrath Dealerships but no more!!So lets see...my truck depreciated $20,000 in 2 months and my credit report declined by 100 points since i bought the truck. Yeah ok. So long story short...if you have inequity in a vehicle which alot of people do or have marginal credit be prepared to ..A. Have alot of downpayment moneyB. Be prepared to be shown vehicles that are not what you asked for because no one else wants to buy it.Hey Mcgraths...treat your repeat customers well!! Dont know how you rate so high on this site but ive never had a great experience that i didnt end up regretting. We all know that negative ratings can be removed so a dealership looks good.Oh yeah....never did get to test drive the Mustang and as i was leaving he said even if i had a cosigner i wouldnt be getting the mustang or a Camaro i was eyeballing. So just another push off and see ya later! So they would have tried to sell me something noboby wanted or they "owned well" which means they bought at an auction or had screwed someone else to get....:) Complete waste of time.

My service mechanic was very thourough about what needed to be done and issue was fixed in a timely manner. Everyone who helped us was very friendly. It was very intimidating to drive up to the dealership and be swarmed. It seemed like there were a lot of people whose job it was to stand around and offer compliments to prospective buyers. (Although, admittedly, we were asking for it. We drove up in a 14 year old beater). Once we got settled in, it was a very pleasant experience. We knew exactly what we wanted, and the salesman, Billy, was able to get us exactly what we wanted in under an hour. We definitely appreciated his assertive style, but we didn't feel like he was too "pushy" as car salesmen are known for. His laid back style actually helped us feel more comfortable with purchasing from this dealership. We felt like, Jake, with financing did a great job getting us through quickly. (We had a young child with us that was reaching the end of her patience. Also, probably our fault for bringing a young child car shopping.) Since we had purchased 3 new vehicles and 1 used in my family we thought we could trust this dealership. As we came to find out they will do anything to get your foot in the door. Was promised to be met by a sales person and an appraisal person on a Saturday morning at a scheduled time. When we arrived no one even new the gal we talked to online to set up appointment. Was sent from new car to used car and then was told we had to go to Buick dealership. Did not even have time to get the appraisal time. Just want to let you know our time is valuable also. You just lost all our business from our family. Shame on you if that's how you treat a customer.

I can honestly say I do not enjoy the car buying. I always have felt I have to be on the defense. Not wilth Colton, what I feel is that he is an extremely honest person and I truly appreciate that. I had a chance to buy a vehicle almost identical and the reason I did not was because of Colton. I knew he would be there for customer service if and when I need it. I really like the car and I am going to recommend him to people I know who are looking for a vehicle. He is A+ in my book, and I never have said that before with a car salesman in the 35 plus years I have bought cars. Thank you!

I would recommend finding a place that values your business and time. If you go here and especially if you work with Jordan, Youre sure to be pushed aside and not treated right. Of all my car buying experiences this one was so bad I had to write this review. They had me waiting all day, all day! Then just before close informed me they got a deposit an hr earlier on the car I had tried to buy all day. It was a ploy to get me to not buy the 65k used car and instead buy one of the convertible versions they cant sell. So after trying and trying to buy this car and being told to wait a little bit and ill call you back, its in the finance dept, just waiting for the number, for 8 hrs. Then at close they give you the bad news they sold it to someone else. RUN RUN RUN and if you must use them DONT USE JORDAN GAUL

Latest experience was a quote for oil sending unit R&R. They wanted twice what i ended up paying elsewhere. Have had service before and I felt they were trying to "pad" the bill...they could not explain why I had "shop fees" when all they did was give me an estimate. Just told me "I don't know, we charge everyone the shop fee...(they) won't let us change that". Bad experience....found a new mechanic!

He always does an outstanding job for me and over the years I have come to think of him as a friend more than a salesman. All of the staff are friendly and easy to deal with. The great service does not stop with the buying of a vehicle but continues back in the shop. Now I am working with Rich and he is on the ball with service and keeping me update with the service that needed to be done on my vehicle. When I bring my vehicle to Pat McGrath I know the job is being done correct and if anything should go wrong I have the service department to fall back on. I dropped my vehicle off in the morning and immediately got a shuttle ride to work. I didn't need to wait at all. The service rep, Doug, contacted me to update me on the status of the repair. They ended up needing to keep the vehicle overnight so I got a loaner. The loaner was a nice vehicle and my vehicle was ready the next day. Great service!

Your team always does an excellent job. I gave permission to the service person to do the brake caliper service that is recommended on the 15k even though I don't believe it is necessary for something like that to be done with only 15k on my truck. I feel it is a waste of good money and time unless when they are rotating the tires (that I had done) the service person notices something strange in the breaks. The bill says the service person Clean/Lube front Caliper Pins & Pad Abutments and Clean/Lube Rear Caliper Pins & Pad Abutments.I am 70 years old and have done more brake jobs on cars and trucks in my life than I could ever count. In the first place the calipers are all inclosed and get washed off with water everytime you go through a puddle and believe me on a day like today any thing that was put on them(ie Lube) has been washed off so there goes the money that was spent. Also the rear brakes on the pickup are not disc but drum so I assume that nothing was lubed on them. Just so we a clear this is not a me complaining about the service I think the service was excellent it is GM's brake service recommendation that I have a problem with. So it was my decision to have it done that was the problem even though if I did not have it done, on the bottom of the bill it would have stated customer refused brake service.

My sons were out in my truck running some arans when they noticed a headlight out. I told them to go directly to Pat McGraths and have it taken care of. They were in the middle of a heavy snowfall and headlight were a must. I called ahead and the guys at McGraths handled it while my sons waited ! They also cut them loose when the repairs were done - and I stopped by and settled the bill on the way home. Thanks guys !

The people are so friendly and helpful. B. Davis the guy that greeted me, and we joked about both being Davis. Chris the service tech. very good, recommended I get the calipers cleaned, which I did and hadn't realized it had been that long, and of course the girls inside are pleasant as they take your money. As I waited I checked on and ordered "WeatherTech" floor protecters. The guys in parts were so helpful & great & when I picked them up today two of them came out swowed me how they fit in andput them in. Really nice guys. Great people and service.

I started using the McGrath dealers for GM service in 1981.....I continue to be happy with the work they do (9 vehicles total, 3 at the current Pat McGrath). In this case the efforts were faster than expected, the costs right as estimated.My truck has 271, 000 miles. Mcgrath put in a new engine last year and now a new transfer case; I'm shooting for 500,000 miles with this vehicle....all my maintenance is withMcGrath; thanks to their work, I've got a good chance to get there.

on 2/1/14 went to McGrath looking for a pickup, that's all I ever had, talked with james steffen he showed me an equinox, found a color I liked ended up leasing. everyone there was extra friendly and helpful. I would say they went out of there way to help me get there, they came and picked me up took my dog with me they had no problems with that everybody treated her very well.it was the best experiance's ive ever had. not just in getting a auto but in any dealings I ever had. James Steffen was very helpful in helping us find an affordable car for our daughter and was very willing to work with us. We had to wait until Saturday to finalize the deal because we wanted our daughter to see the car and to agree to the color, etc. James had to serve the weekend on the Reserves so Mark Thomas led us through the paperwork and went over the car with my daughter. I'm not naming names in any of this review. I should start off by saying that back in the mid 1990s, my husband and I bought a used truck from McGrath. I wanted to line up our own financing with our bank, but we were pressured into taking a loan from one of McGrath's high interest lenders. A month later, the engine blew in the truck and when I called McGrath to complain, the salesman laughed at me and told me that's what we got for buying a used vehicle that had no warranty. True, we should've had it looked at by our mechanic but my husband impatiently had to have the truck that night. Recently I was looking for a used car to replace my older vehicle. Despite my past bad experience with McGrath, I saw a car I liked on their website and called to set up a time to look at it. I asked the online person to make sure the car was on their lot and was assured it was. I got to the Hiawatha lot and was told that the car had sold the night before and they hadn't gotten around to removing it from the site. The salesman I was to meet with shuffled me off on another salesman, and this is where the "fun" began. They tried to "find" cars in my price range (I had my loan already arranged thru my bank) and the first car they showed me was obviously a ringer car trotted out to "show" buyers 'this is the piece of junk you get for that kind of loan amount'. I declined and was going to leave, but they offered a car comparable to the one I'd originally gone to look at, and I asked before even looking at it if it was in my price range and was given a vague 'I think so' answer. The car was on another lot, so the salesman has me drive the ringer car over to that lot (and the ringer car drove terrible, the steering felt bad on it and the frame creaked like crazy when we'd hit a bump). Then they couldn't find the car I'm supposed to be looking at on the lot. Waited for over 20 minutes before they finally they found it. The car test drove okay and checked out by my mechanic, and while I wasn't impressed by it, I decided to see what kind of deal they'd give me. My salesman was now working with another buyer, so I got yet a third salesman. I was told they wouldn't take my car as a trade in. The worksheet they came back to me with was $3000 over my loan limit and they refused to knock any money off for not taking my car as a trade in, plus they tried to hammer me into putting a downpayment that was 4x higher my intended amount. The salesman tried to aggressively pressure me into taking a loan through one of their lenders and tried to get me to sign a sales agreement saying I would purchase that car. He threw in the sad puppy dog eyes act and told me he couldn't go any lower on that car because his boss would yell at him. He played the stall and 'I've got to run this past my salesmanager' game in hopes they'd run me out of time so I couldn't get the worksheet to my bank and would be forced to take their deal. The car wasn't worth their asking price and by this time, I'd been at their dealership for almost 5 hours, so I got up to leave and they all came running, telling me if I walked on that car deal, it'd be gone by the evening and they could only guarantee the deal they offered me for that one night. I walked anyway. Two months later, the car was still on their website, price reduced on it. I'd also gotten calls and emails from the dealership for weeks afterward, trying to get me to come back in. I've since found a nicer and newer car through another dealership, it was within my price range, and best of all, I wasn't hassled or high pressured into taking a deal I wasn't comfortable with. The hilarious thing was, McGrath's hit every single bad line and tactic you hear dealerships using and I was glad I read up on their games before getting a car. Would never recommend or do business with McGrath again, others I've talked to have shared similar experiences as well and warned me not to go through McGrath's to get a car.

I called to get the price on a 15K check for a Chevy Equinox I was told all they did and the price of $65.42. When I arrived at the dealership I was told that the price was $185.00. I told the person the price I was given and she said they have been having computer problems and she would let her mgr. know. Hmmm the OLD Bait and Switch. The sales at Pat McGrath is great but SERVICE always does stuff like this, they either don't meet warrenty needs, they question any problems that you bring to their attention or the flat out LIE to you about cost.I ended up selling my 2013 chevy for a honda just to get away from them. At this point they lost the sale of at least 4 vehicles from my family and more as I get the word out.

We worked with Jordan on our first vehicle 3 years ago and thought he did a very nice job then and has kept in touch. So when we were looking to trade in we knew exactly where we were going to go! Jordan answered my email and questions right away. As soon as we got there he had the vehicles we were looking at ready to test drive. We ended up getting something that came in the day before and we love it! His manager Darin was a great guy as well. You know when you leave a place, just spent $20,000, laughed the whole and left with a smile on your face that it was a great experience. He along with the sales manager were both very down to earth and friendly and did not pressure me. We went to Pat McGrath Chevyland because they have all the choices of new Chevys we are looking for. We purchased a new 2013 Chevy Sonic. I was quoted a price over the phone and they gave me a trade-in quote also. We had an agreement before we arrived at the dealership. We have been buying new Chevys at Pat McGrath since 2004. I had went to Pat McGrath after a horrible experience at McGrath Kia. Rick was very nice and took all of my information that night so I could return the next day with some options to look at. There was a little glitch the next day when I showed up (they got me confused with another customer), and I ended up test driving vehicles that weren't meant for me. Once Rick got there, he was able to get everything sorted out, he pulled a beautiful car from McGrath Kia which I found amusing, and got me in that car, that night, at the monthly rate I could afford.

we purchse a 2001 ford f-150 from pat Mcgrath chevyland in cedar rapid IA it was a nice truck in and out but when we took it for the test drive it smelled like untifrezz realy bad i mentioned to the sellsman and he din't say any thing we got back to the dealership and asked him to clean the windows but din't work the slmel persisted when we whent to pick the truck the windowe where still foggy but he sed here is a rug so you can clean them as you drive home.we got home and our eyes burned very bad the next day i took the truck to a repairshop the mechanic told me that it appeared as if the dealer opened the heater core compartment and knew that it was defective but din't fixed instead they sell it to us knowing of the problem we understand we bought it (sa-it-was) but if the sellsman knwew of my concern he should have done something about it.for that we feel taken advantage of and that is durty business it cost us $600.00 dollars to fix it and $150.00 dollars for a new battery we are very disapointed and never recomed the dealer to any one

Was on my way to the dealership to purchase a used truck with a quoted price from the day before and recieved a phone call that they now needed $600 more that what was agreed upon the day before! Basically told me to take it or leave it, they didn't care. I still bought the truck but it ended up costing me $700 more than I had planned. Gavin called and took care of the issue, very pleased with the result, you don't see too many people take the time to address customer service issues like this these days. I was pleasently surprised and appreciated the end results of my dealings at McGraths.

Matt greeted me on the lot and took time to help me select a new vehicle. I was very comfortable with the way he walked me through the purchase process, and commend him on his help with setting up my phone application, OnStar application and a clear and concise walk through of the vehicles attributes upon purchase. He also walked me through the process for service needs and took me on a tour of the facility. He was friendly and courteous during the entire process. It is not very often that a young man has good sales techniques and customer satisfaction skills as he does, and was able to provide me an acceptable price range within my budget. I felt really bad that I picked up the car on Monday night and on Tuesday, I noticed it was not working out with my back. The customer service experience at this dealership is really the best I've had at a new car dealer. I called a few times after the sales with questions, and the people were all very helpful, anxious to please, and informative about my answers.I feel I got a fair deal from this dealership, but not a great deal. However, would I get a great deal from any car dealer? I doubt it. I think I might have gotten a better trade-in on my old car from another dealer and I suspect that the ploy of "there's someone here who wants to buy your car, if you don't buy it today, you'll have to wait" was just that -- a ploy to put a bit of pressure on me. But since I thought it was a ploy, I don't think that factored into my decision to buy. I wasn't anxious to buy that day, so I would have walked away if I didn't think the price was right.That being said, though, I do feel I got a fair deal from them and I would recommend them to any one buying a car. I will be curious to see how the service people are because I have had iffy experiences in the past when I used a dealership's service department (not here but at other dealers). I will give their service department a try and see how it works out.All in all, this was a positive buying experience for me. Since I am new to Cedar Rapids, I was unsure where to go and I did check two other Chevy dealerships before coming to this one. I'm pleased that I shopped where I did.

The visits were pleasant without pressure. I did have to return to get air put into my tires 18 hours after purchase; I self-taught myself the radio and electronic instrumentation; and I had to return 48 hours after purchase for accessories when I was led to believe the accessories would be completed prior to purchase. Overall, I felt comfortable with the experience.

Denny Zimmerman was very proactive in assisting with my car search. He took the time to become familiar with what I was looking for and sent updates on vehicles he thought would fit my needs. I was a victim of identity theft, and still had some negative things on my credit, when I walked into the dealership. I did not plan on driving off the lot with a new car. I thought I was there to simply discuss options. Other places have treated me like an irresponsible, low-lifer, because of my credit. Not one person at Pat McGrath made me feel bad about my past situation. They were encouraging, they listened to me, and they were so friendly. I ended up driving off the lot with a new Cruz that night. The next day, Kristin called to say they worked hard to get me the best deal possible. I about dropped the phone when she said how low they were able to get the interest rate. I knew they worked hard and went above and beyond. It was greatly appreciated.As for Billy Lahr's service, I couldn't have asked for anything different. He was so friendly and easy to talk to. He explained all of the features of the Cruz and made sure I understood everything. I also appreciated the fact that he had me take a curvy side road, so that I could experience how the car handled, when we were test driving it. I have already told friends to go see him, when they are ready to trade.

Although I did not get to look at the vehical I originaly went to Pat McGrath's for, I did find one that was in my price range, and to my choice of the type of SUV I wanted. The salesman, Sam Aossey was very helpful at the time of the sale and has continued to be of great help to me, even after the sale had been completed. Even to go as far as ansewering a call on his personal phone on his day off, and assiting me with questions I had. I would not find this kind of customer service from a dealership in the small town I live in. But all the people at Pat McGrath's treated me as if I was someone special. And assited me in every step of the vehical purches. Our experience was a very good one. My husband and I came to McGrath unsure if we wanted to buy an Impala or Malibu. When we met Andy he was very knowledgable and explained the different features and offers going on for vehicles. After test driving them both we were still unable to make our decision, so Andy suggested we take one and drive it for a day and then come back and get the other one and drive it for a day. Not many dealerships will allow this and understand reasons why not, but it truly made the difference for us.The day we came to pick up our new Impala Mark was great. He walked us through each of our features on the car and helped us set up many of them. He was very personable and patient with our questions.It was an unusual day as I had injured myself and was on crutches when we came to pick up our new car. I had called Andy ahead of time to let him know and if that would create any issues. He assured me it wouldn't and it didn't. The entire McGrath's team went out of their way to work with my husband and I under our situation. They combined forces and had us do multiple meetings in one office so I wouldn't have to walk everywhere. I can't thank them enough for working with us and their patience they gave us to make this an enjoyable and exciting time for us even under less idea conditions.

I was at a point with my old car on whether to get it fixed or purchase a new to me car. I went to a sale Mcgrath was having and met Adam. He and I looked at an 07 chevy malibu. I was particular that it had to be blue and he was helpful I ended up getting that car. After 2 months I was not pleased that the car needed some work. The whole point of getting a new car was so I didn't have to put any money into it. In the end Jordan worked with us to trade in the malibu and talked my husband into getting a newer car also. The friendliness and the work that everyone put into our deal was amazing. We are both very happy with our buick la crosses.

My experience with purchasing vehicles at PMC, has always been EXCELLENT. Sales representatives(Mark Thomas)are knowlegeable about their GM products and share excellent recommendations on vehicles that meet customer needs. Sales Management (Andy Burns) works well with customers to develop a deal that works FOR the customer (and I assume well for the dealership). Service personnel (Bill Pierce) is always attentive to my service needs/problems and I never leave the service bay without a positive feeling that my concerns have been addressed or resolved. I HAVE recommended this dealership to friends and acquinces, and never have received a negative review as a result of a recommendation. PMC is my dealership of choice and will continue to be in the future!! Ed Musselman

When i went in to look at a car i had set and appt. to look at a certain car and the sold it the morning that i was coming to look at it and the never called and told they had sold it nor when i called to confirm my appt did they tell me i found out when i got down there and i live over two hours away. I did buy a car and after everything was signed i found problems with the car one day later such as one remote did not work at all, battery needed replaced and tested bad, right rear tire had a broken belt and blew out a week after driving it totaling to around $600 out of my pocket that they would not fix. i paid 15k for a car and i sould atleast get better service and more than and 1/8 tank of gas.!!.

I feel Moe did a good job selling me a car. I already had my mind made up for the cruz so it didn't take that much too persuade me. He got me a good interest rate although I felt I should of been able to get a better one. Moe seemed to know about the car. My only problem with him was that he talks to fast and it was hard to understand him. The guys in detailing and finance were very nice and friendly. I am enjoying the car and even though I probably paid too much with all the extra warranty, I got everything I wanted. I'm expecting to enjoy this car for a long time.

John Travis did an outstanding job with us. It took over a week for us to finally commit and purchase the vehicle. He was very patient with us (even when my wife decided to change vehicle colors). He explained vehicle features in a manner that was very easy to understand. We have never had a vehicle that had On-Star or Blue Tooth capability so this was something new to us. If and when I do purchase another vehicle, I want John as my guy. Again, thanks for making this a pleasant expierence for us.

The buying experience was outstanding in every respect, as were all of the staff members. The only disappointment I felt was when during delivery I received my new vehicle with less than a quarter's tank of fuel. After spending the kind of money I did, it was a bit disheartening to have to stop on my way home and spend over $50 to fill the fuel tank. This is the first time I have ever purchased a new vehicle when I was not delivered the new car with a full tank of gas.
