Just a quick note of appreciation for Mark H. and Nick in the Service Department. Mark helped me with an issue I had with my vehicle in a compassionate manner. He patiently took the time to call Safe-guard to make sure they would cover most of the cost of the repair I needed. He kindly let me borrow a courtesy car too. I purchase a used car after checking the car found few things wrong with the car agree on price paid the money he send the car to get detailed came back and found one of the fog light out told him about it he say I will see what I can do drove the car home I find the owner manual missing after I saw the manual in the CAR when I first checked the car I called him asked him about my issues he said give me 24 hours I will call you back 10 days later no call back and he would not answer my calls I don't know who to blame for dishonesty the salesman or the way the dealer operate at the end it's me who got screwed

Andrew still calls me frequently to see how I am progressing and to ask me if I have any questions or problems and continually thanks me for purchasing my car from him. Whenever I am asked how I like my Suburu, I tell individuals I Love it and if they are considering the purchase of a new car, to go to Suburu at Pinebelt in Lakewood and ask for Andrew Moy!!!!! My friend who was with me when I made my purchase, is still thinking of purchasing from Andrew too and. Every car buyer knows the feeling. You're excited about the prospect of having a new car and instantly drained over the mere thought of buying said new car. UUUGGHHH, the dreaded sales process! Salesman and managers with seemingly indiscriminate rebates and discounts applied to fees and handling charges that I've never heard of. I'm told the deal is good, but good for who? You just never know. After visiting multiple Subaru dealerships and each giving me, "the best possible price", I ended up at Pine Belt Subaru. It was a little out of my way however, they had the exact Outback I wanted, white with tan leather and all the bells-and-whistles, so I decided I'd take the drive. I was greeted by Christopher Sirianni in the parking lot. Seemingly nice enough guy, but they all seem nice in the parking lot! Well Christopher's demeanor did not change through the entire process. From finding the vehicle I wanted, to negotiating with his manager Eric, Christopher stayed positive, humble and appeared to be genuinely on my side. I bought the car from Christopher and I can without hesitation emphatically say, I got the best possible deal at Pine Best Subaru. It may sound like a commercial, but it's true. I shopped online and off, and I was courted by several dealerships, each giving me a better price than the next to "earn"my business. When the smoke settled, the best deal was at Pine Belt. Christopher being a super nice guy was just icing on the cake.Christopher even drove out to my house because he forgot to put an inspection sticker on my window, I mean really! Anyone else would have asked me to "stop by the dealership when you have time". Christopher drove 30 minutes to bring it to me.Christopher is new to Pine Belt, new to auto sales, so new he's not even listed on the website, or as a selection on this website under, "select employee(s) worked with" (I had to type it in). Christopher, if you're reading this and you decide to stay in auto sales, don't stop being what you are today, because regardless of the deal, I bought the car from you because of who you are at this moment.Anyway. best deal, super salesman, good coffee, blah, blah, blah - If you go to this dealership (and it should be on your short list), ask for Christopher Sirianni - he's a good one.

We went to Pine Belt to take a test drive. After driving both the Legacy and the Forester, we chose the Forester. Both are excellent cars for the money. After much thought and discussion, we decided on the Forester. We knew what model and options we wanted, but the particular build we desired was not available at the dealership that day. Fortunately , our salesperson, Bill Brand, along with Eric Cenname, were able to locate the exact model and options we were looking for. We negotiated a fair price for the car, and were able to pick it up the following Monday. As buying experiences go, this was easy, no pressure, and both Bill and Eric were knowledgeable and up front. No games. I would recommend Pine Belt Subaru to my friends.

I had just leased a new Hyundai and wanted to get out of it and into a Subaru. So I stopped in at the dealership to go over my options at this point in the lease--13 months to go--and ended up working out a deal on a 2016 Forester (this vehicle better serves my changed needs better than another Outback.) Discussions/negotiations of my options were very professional and "pressureless" (if there's such a word!) In the end I accepted the lease deal offered and drove home with a new vehicle. (I arrived at the dealership at about 11 a.m., and my new Forester and I were "home" in my garage by 3:15 p.m.) This was my third Subaru from Pine Belt and the easiest overall experience yet. Jim and Eric were excellent to deal with.

SPECTACULAR and HONEST transaction- oh and, of course, WONDERFUL, EASY correspondence with Greg and team. After months of research and due diligence, I walked into the dealership with the exact model and price point I had in mind. Surprisingly enough, I looked all over NJ to find this model with only about 3 dealerships that would barely meet the low price point I wanted. First, I went to Cherry Hill - lousy service, promised me to have the vehicle in stock that day and didn't have it! I was extremely frustrated. Luckily enough, I called Pine Belt (have loads in inventory, great selection to choose from unlike other dealerships), spoke to Lisa Daly and she explained that the vehicle was available and ready for viewing. Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted by a very friendly gentleman to Greg. Greg had EVERYTHING ready in no time, matched my price point and had the vehicle ready for a test drive. Greg did not try any of the typical sales pitches or try to sell other superfluous items - he was straight to the point and answered my questions. He was extremely well-informed about the product he had in stock. He was definitely reassuring! I also spoke to Eric C. - very nice gentleman as well. Well, to make a long story short, because of a break in the rear window defroster grid, the radio would play static when turned on with rear defroster. Zurich the warranty vendor advised Pinebelt to repair a suppressor first. They also advised that if that was not the problem, that we would be responsible for that cost.... Which is totally ridiculas. Of course the suppressor didnt work and we had to replace the rear window which Zurich paid for.After many phone calls, Eric Cenname of Pinebelt was able to get us reimbursed for that additional expense.Many thanks to Eric and Pinebelt.

I was very happy with the level of professionalism and courtesy the salesman and sales manager showed throughout what was a very unpleasant and complicated situation for me. I was over my mileage by a significant amount on my previous Kia Optima lease and they were able to get me into a brand new Legacy for very reasonable and fair financial terms. The salesman even delivered my plates and registration when I could t make it down to the dealership. Trust is the hardest thing to earn as a car dealership, and they earned mine.

I have owned Nissans since I started driving at 17. I never thought I would ever not have a Nissan. When I started traveling to school, I need something with 4-wheel drive. So, hearing only good things about Subaru's I had to find out for myself. I was recommended to Greg Geran and could not be more pleased with my experience with not only him, but also Scott Cerosimo. They special ordered me a car and made sure I was taken care of paying a reasonable price. They took hours going back and fourth with my dad and I to make sure the car had every last thing that we wanted in it along with interior and exterior colors. Greg took my cell phone number and kept me updated on when my car was coming and even gave me exact dates! I now own my 2016 Subaru Crosstreck and could not possibly be happier! I have had my car for about 3 weeks now and Greg has followed up with me asking how everything is and if I have any questions. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Was looking for a first time lease. After doing some research found Pinebelt Subaru in Lakewood, NJ. Showroom as well as car lot clean and uncluttered. Very nice experience but would want the time for processing to be much shorter in duration. I came to this dealer because my lease with Volkswagen was up and went I went to Volkswagen they were very unfriendly. My mom recently leased a vehicle from Pine Belt Subaru and mentioned I should try them. I came in and Greg assisted me. I was nervous because getting a new car always creates anxiety and was a bit stressed about credit. Greg, Eric, and Scott were extremely helpful and friendly. I went to Pine Belt Subaru with my son to look for a specific model of Subaru. My son was leaving for military training in a couple weeks so didnt have much time. The car he was looking for was not in stock, but the sales manager told us they could get the car he wanted in just a few days. When we questioned him about why he was so confident about that he said in all the years he'd been in the business there was only one time he couldn't get a vehicle. We gave them a $1000 deposit with the understanding that it was refundable if they didn't get the specific vehicle we discussed. Surprise, two days later they called and said they couldn't get the vehicle, but within a couple weeks they could get us another one. Needless to say we no longer trusted them and got our deposit back. The unfortunate part of all this was we lost out on a deal on another car at a different dealership. It wasnt my sons first choice, but he would have bought it as his second choice. It was sold by the time we went back.

My wife and I were prepared to purchase our third Subaru from Pine Belt. Here's our story. Tuesday, 7/14/15 we met with Eric and Greg to discuss a Legacy. Did not have the color but could swap with another dealer. Wednesday, Pine Belt found a car will arrive later on Thursday, ready on Friday. We went in on Wednesday to sign a Deal Sheet and leave a deposit. Friday the car came in and I got the impression it was sold to another customer. I wanted to cancel the deal but Eric wanted to keep my business and in very short time he found a car and he threw in a moonroof at no extra charge to compensate for our inconvenience. Car to be ready by Saturday. We were out of town all of Saturday and had a medical commitment on Monday. We arrange to pick up the Legacy on Tuesday. Tuesday we arrived to pick up our car and found it did not have the side molding door guards we had requested. This was an important option needed to protect the car doors in parking lot situations. The showroom vehicle had this option and when we put the deal together I had told our salesman Greg that I wanted that option. The car that was available had the door edge guards but not the side molding. A brief discussion ensued and I requested my deposit back which I expect to get today, 7/22/15.

they did a poor job replacing timing belt on 2002 outback, the I idler pulley went and belt broke wiped out the engine 4000 miles later. The kicker is they did the timing belt at 114,000 and at 216,000, both times they never replaced the Idler bearing, they had the records for the service on this car and they ignored good common sense, any good mechanic would have said better replace the idler pulley its the original, no they did not, blamed it on the car, this car was well maintained and always serviced at Subaru,Pine Belt/They tool no responsibility for this and the car is destroyed,Do not take your car to this Butcher shop that only cares about the money.The service manager did not know what he is talking about and a smooth talker.

Pine Belt Subaru... My experience with this dealership started when I searched the internet for local lease deals on the Subaru Impreza. I've visited numerous dealerships and was actually about to sign a lease when I came across a "special" at Pine Belt Subaru listing a 5 door Impreza at $57 a month with only a $2,000 down payment and a $595 bank fee. Word of advice: if advertisements seem too good to be true, there's usually a good reason behind it. I began my communication with Pine Belt over live chat when I was assured that the down payment could be rolled into the 36 monthly payments, but the lease required an additional $2000 down due to being a new customer. This was definitely not mentioned anywhere, but putting $4595 down to achieve a $57 monthly lease was still a fantastic deal even when factoring in $607 for NY registration taxes. I was hassled to come in for a test drive, something I was cautious about doing due to the dealership being a solid hour's drive. Fast forward a few days and I receive a call from a salesman by the name of Ed, who offered to get me an exact quote on a lease prior to coming into the dealership. Firstly, I spent 3 days waiting on the salesman to obtain a quote for a lease which was advertised on their site. I was warned that this offer was only applicable to those with excellent credit and we agreed to move forward. I made it very clear at the start of the converation that I was only interested in persuing this lease if the advertised pricing was honored. Ed and I calculated that the monthly cost of the lease would equal to $201 if we rolled in taxes, bank fees, and the downpayment into 36 monthly payments. Sounds like a good deal no? Several hours later, Ed told me that the offer was for manual transmission cars and that I'm looking for an automatic. Under normal circumstances I'd agree to being mistaken, had the advertised "special" not stated that it is for an automatic Impreza... After wasting 3 days of my time convincing me to test drive the car, the salesman retracted the original offer going from $201 a month to $249. Reason? The car advertised is a hatchback... What the heck does that even mean? Yes, the lease advertises a hatchback Impreza for $57 a month with $4000 down. Yes, the advertised car has automatic transmission. And yes... the "special" is still being advertised on their website. Pine Belt Subaru uses misleading prices to reel potential buyers into their dealership only to pull a BAIT AND SWITCH by increasing the quoted amount by over 20%...

Update 4/27 - original review below... Part of the paperwork process was discussed before the sale was agreed upon... that my wife (who resides at a different address, and has her own separate insurance, would be the person the title and registration would be made out to. This was gone over with the team at PBS ad nauseam, to which myself, my wife and my in-laws were guaranteed it would get filed properly. Car gets insured fine, however when the paperwork was picked up at PBS my name is to whom the car was titled and registered to... thus causing a rather major annoyance. I have now waited and still have not had confirmation that the paperwork is done/fixed, am told WE have to pay for the error. The point of contact/person who filed the paperwork also keeps calling in regards to the wrong people/incident. If this gets resolved in the next day or so, I might consider ever doing business here again, I am just tired of this area's dealerships dropping the ball on paperwork. thankfully thus far my identity hasn't been stolen like it was at LG a few years ago. ------------------I recently went with my wife's parents looking for a new Forester. After having been to several dealerships, Pine Belt actually had the trim and color my mother in law was searching for. We were approached by Ed (Edgardo Pagan). Ed provided a great test drive and actually knew a lot about the vehicles. His demeanor, as well as the rest of the staff's attitude put myself and my parents more at-ease. We decided against putting a deposit down, even after being offered to take an extended test drive (have the car over night), due to wanting to ensure finances were good for the price of the car. We came back about five days later, finding that the car my MIL wanted, had been sold a day or two before. Here's where the good experience comes in...After having several horrible experiences in the past with bait-and-switch tactics from a certain other big name here in NJ - I was just expecting to do a dealer swap (i had found cars nearby that would have worked). However, Ed and Robert took an interest in making a deal on an upgrade... going from a base 2.5i to the premium (in the particular color the MIL was looking for). I was hesitant, as they were not really looking for all the technology in that trim... but I had thought to print out truecar data on both the base and the premium model. After a little back and forth (nothing painful at all) Robert came back with a shockingly great deal on the premium car, and I was shocked to see it was well below the estimate that truecar even offered in NJ,DE, and PA lots... After a few small discussions with my in-laws we decided that it was a far better deal, and one that could not be passed up. My wife's parents LOVE the car - which says a lot since my wife's father has always been an american car person, specifically ford... and loves the car the longer he owns it, between the technology/safety/ride comfort he's now a huge fan. I am personally a big fan of how PB's staff here treats customers, Ed is a true PLEASURE to work with, and even my least favorite people on the lot - finance and sales managers... were INCREDIBLY helpful and honestly nice. This was pretty much the first time that the true car sheets were put away within minutes, and certainly the first time that I was not inclined to get up and walk out (helped or directly purchased 4 new cars in the past 3 years for various family). The finances and contacts were handled by Bill, another amazingly friendly and no-pressure team member. Looking forward to doing more business with these guys in the future.TL/DR (too long-didn't read)Found the color and trim the wife's parents wanted, it got sold because we didn't put a deposit down. Ended up with far more car than expected, for less than we could have hoped, and ended up meeting some of the nicest sales and finance i've delt with. Car is great, parents are in love with the car... and I didn't feel like jumping in front of a train or bathing in bleach for once after dealing with a sales guy.

I had a nice conversation with Matt on the phone telling him about the type of new Legacy I was interested in. I told him about the internet price I received from the dealership and told me to bring it in and they would honor it. He was friendly and informative over the phone and made me feel at ease. Living 30 miles away I took a chance and met Matt yesterday along with my wife as per our appt. made over the phone. Matt was prepared for our visit and had the vehicle in front of the dealership waiting for our test drive. I appreciated this and being it was a Sat. they were very busy. Matt took the time to explain all the features on our test drive and never rushed us. I was very impressed by his knowledge and he knew the exact car I wanted. He honored the very low internet price and we came to an agreeable price on my 5 year old Legacy trade in making the deal possible. Bought my new Forester in August,. since day one the Bluetooth wouldn't work. Been in and out of the service department several times. On Jan. 20th I left it there one more time. The car was there all day Tuesday...Wednesday and Thursday.Late Thursday afternoon the service manager left message that they re-programed the Bluetooth and if it didn't work than I needed to re-program my phone. When I picked up the car the Bluetooth didn't work. The strange thing is that when I got into the loaner they gave me I paired the phone and everything worked fine. Now I'm told that I will just have to live with it.I guess they are just interested in selling cars.

This is a truthful review you can take it at what it's worth. I will tell you that the salesman have no say whats so ever. The final decision comes from the general manager who's name is Jamie. I worked out a long negotiation process on a used vehicle. The asking price was online for 12999.00. The description of the vehicle was not correct online. I explained to my salesman Paul that because the vehicle was missing items such as a spare tire, spare rim, tire mount for the rim and tire I would put an offer in at 11,000.00. General Manager Jamie like I said makes the final call on all negotiations. He counter offered at 11,600.00. We finally agreed to a price of 11,300.00. I asked if I could take the vehicle to my personal mechanic and he agreed. My mechanic went thru the entire vehicle and found some items that need to be repaired. I gave the list to my salesman Paul. The vehicle needed a drive shaft and front upper ball joint, has a frozen tire sensor and a few other items such as a leaky radiator cap and blown out marking bulbs and a front headlight that was not working. I told Paul about the front headlight not working when I took it for a test drive a week earlier but Jamie decided a front headlight is not important. I returned to Pine Belt Subaru and gave the list to my salesman Paul from my mechanic. I told Paul the additional cost for parts and labor would be around 1000.00. They dropped the price down from 11,300.00 to 11,000.00 that's 300.00. we agreed to the price of 11,000.00 I put a 500.00 deposit down and told the I would come back the next day late in the afternoon and would pay cash. The next day I called and asked a simple question which I think is not something that would be out of the norm. I asked since it will be dark when I purchase the vehicle could you please put a bulb in the front headlight so I could drive home safely. My salesman Paul said no you are buying the vehicle as is so we will not replace the front headlight bulb. I asked to speak to the General Manager Jamie and this is where it gets real bad. I inform Jamie that I will be in at 4:30 pm to purchase the vehicle could you have the parts department put a bulb in the front headlight so I could drive home safely in the dark. Jamie says to me no we will not put a bulb in the front headlight there is no more negotiating on this vehicle. I said to Jamie why would you let a vehicle that you know has only one headlight leave your lot at night after a sale. Jamie tells me if you don't want to drive the vehicle home and feel it's unsafe without a headlight We can call the whole deal off and we will refund your 500.00 dollars. I could not believe that Jamie was willing to cancel the deal we maid because he would not put a bulb in the headlight. I accepted Jamie's offer of cancelling the sale and getting my deposit back. I still can't believe that a dealership like Pine Belt would cancel a cash deal that was made on one of there used vehicle because the General Manager Jamie refused to put a bulb in a headlight. I am writing this so that everyone knows my story and it is 100 percent the truth. I wonder if the President of Pine Belt knows about this. I will try to find a way to let the owners know.

Stress Free Experience and products are well explained. I've purchased four cars from Pine Belt over the last five years. Salesman in this case, Bill Brank, was professional (not pushy), informative, and made the experience stress free. His management (GM Jamie) also professional. Price on trade in and new purchase were fair with first offers, not a negotiation hassle. When I went back a few days later to finalize some paperwork, a salesperson who had nothing to do with my sale (Matt) hooked up my blue tooth, explained how it all worked, and showed me some additional features of the car. The entire experience was a pleasure, I'd highly recommend. I've used there service area for last five years as well; reliable and they don't try to sell me repairs I don't need.

I purchased a 2015 Forester on June 30, 2015. Great car. Unfortunately it was totaled 6 weeks later. Because of the car and sales person Geo Padilla I purchased the same vehicle. I financed my first Forester through my bank, but Scott Cersosimo got me a better rate. The car and sales staff are great, but the service department lacks honestly and is not professional.For that reason alone I don't know if I would every purchase a vehicle from this dealership.

This is my 3rd Forester from this dealership. I intended to swap my 2013 Forester for a 2015 but pricing the new vehicle and financing presented a problem. The deal was made when Dave Mitchell, sales mgr. explained the options and cost of financing the purchase of a new Forester versus the leasing of the vehicle for 3 years. With his explanation a lease agreement was executed.

I had been searching for a new/used vehicle to replace my current car when i came across pine belt who had a 2013 Subaru Impreza 2.0i 5 speed manual. I had originally been in contact with Lisa Daly via email and phone. I went to the dealer to take a look at the car and was told to speak to Bill Taylor. Bill was very friendly and got me the keys to start inspecting the car while I waited for a salesperson to be free. What felt like only a few minutes passed and I met Matt Mazza who came off very friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicle. At first meeting a deal could not be struck based on my personal credit and down payment needed. The next day I contacted Matt who had gotten me a better deal on financing. I came into the dealer and felt welcomed. Scott Cersosimo handled the finance end of my deal and kept things light and explained everything very well. Overall had a great experience and based on that I will give their Service department the chance to earn my business. As far as sales, they won't have my business for (hopefully) a very long time but that is said in the best of terms because I believe in the longevity of Subaru. That being said they will be the first dealer I contact when I am in the market for a new, certified or used car.

I purchased a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek from Pinebelt Subaru about two weeks ago. Not only do I love my new car, but my experience at Pinebelt was one of the most positive buying experiences I've ever had at a car dealership. I'm someone who usually despises the car buying process - definitely not fond of haggling or the typical shenanigans. This is also the first time I've ever ventured into a car dealership alone, without dragging along my husband or male companion for support. From start to finish, I was treated with the utmost respect. My salesperson, Matt Mazza, was very informative and provided the full rundown of technical specs about Subaru's in general, in particular the Crosstrek. He answered all of my MANY questions and accompanied me on a test drive. Even price negotiations went smoothly. I'm a numbers person, so I came prepared with a solid idea of what I wanted to spend, how much I needed on my trade-in, and what I could afford to finance. Matt worked with me and there was reasonable give & take on both sides until a deal was made. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, how I was treated, and the price I paid. Bill in the Finance department was also very helpful, pleasant and personable. Overall, my entire experience at Pinebelt surpassed any expectations I previously had. I highly recommend this dealership!

This is the fourth Subaru I have purchased, so obviously I know, like and trust Subaru's. I was not even shopping for a new Forester, but stopped in to ask a "recall" question. While chatting with Jamie Palazzo (sales manager), I admired the 2015, and he said he could put me in it a super-great price. He did...with absolutely no pressure or pushiness. He is really customer-service-perfect ! My previous salesperson was Jim Pfister, but he was not there, so I worked with Matt Mazza who was just terrific. In fact, everyone there seems to work together which is wonderful. They always answer all my questions & concerns, professionally and completely. This is unusual because I am now an "old lady" who is on my own and who needs to know everything possible about car buying, servicing etc. I was horrified when my 2015 Forester was about a month old and a young man crashed into the side of it !!! That's when I discovered that Pine Belt has its' own body shop. Ed Donahue, the manager, took me through the whole repair process. Many thanks to every one and every department of Pine Belt Subaru.

This was the letter I sent: August 27, 2014Dear Mr. Palazzo, I am writing to you to complain about the 2005 Subaru Forrester XS I bought from your dealership about a month ago. The first mechanical issue occurred about two weeks ago, the resonator pipe gave out on us; the rust was so bad that it made a big hole on the pipeline so I had to buy a new one to replace it. Then 3 days ago another mechanical problem occurred; the check engine light came on, P0302, cylinder 2 misfire detected. As of this writing, I have not had the chance to have the car looked at by a mechanic since I know this is going to cost me a lot of money, so this car is sitting on my driveway. I havent even paid for my first months due and all of these problems have occurred already. I am so disappointed and frustrated that your dealership sold me a car as my wife calls it, a lemon. I let go of the fact that even the tires were 50% on its thread life, scrapes on the rear bumper and the fact that it had a collision history. This was because I trusted that this dealership would sell only top notch quality used car. Bill Taylor even stated that this dealership sells only quality cars and that whenever a vehicle is not up to par to this Subaru dealership standards, they end up in auctions. (He mentioned that because Bill Brand and I tried to find the red Subaru car that was sitting on the lot when I went there which ended up being sent to the auction as per Bill Taylor). Even your website mentioned the same thing as what Bill Taylor and Bill Brand said during my visit, that:At our greater Lakewood new and used Subaru dealership your satisfaction is our primary concern. With a knowledgeable sales team, large inventory and everyday low prices, Pine Belt Subaru is your connection for a QUALITY, stylish and RELIABLE new or USED car by Subaru. At Pine Belt Subaru, we proudly serve customers from Belmar, Howell and Neptune, NJ, and we would like to have the opportunity to earn your business. It even added,Get a WELL MAINTAINED, competitively-priced, USED Subaru in Lakewood at Pine Belt Subaru. Our auto technician PERFORMS A DETAILED INSPECTION ON EVERY USED CAR, truck, SUV and van at our Subaru dealership. I went to your dealership because of the rave reviews I saw from your website from people that just like me, wanted top notch superior used cars. I understand that when I bought this car, I bought it as is. But like what I mentioned above, I had faith that buying from your dealership would give me a QUALITY used car. I did my research on this car and would have bought the warranty if the head gaskets were covered by it since this was what appears to be a fairly common issue with this car. I did mention it to both Bill Taylor and Bill Brand that an asterisk on the bottom of the warranty documents that was given to me said, that cars with over 100,000 + miles are not covered by it. I dont expect a used car to be equal to a new car, but I didn't envision that driving just over 1500 miles and almost a month after buying it, these issues would be appearing. I am hoping that you will rectify the current issue with no cost to me. But if not, then I will be sending a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau.Sincerely,WiL A.As of today,9/20/14, I have not received response from any of them; I sent a complaint to the BBB today as well.

Each of you were knowledgeable and provided consistent information, were patient and pleasant to deal with as we struggled with our decision about which SUV to purchase or lease. The deal, in our opinion, was more than fair. You met our criteria to make the vehicle affordable. And, you found a way for us to afford the model one step up from what we thought we could afford. We are very happy to be able to enjoy a better-equipped Forester for several years to come! When we came to pick up the vehicle, everything was ready to go. We visited the dealership to buy a Crosstrek. We were met immediately by Jim who took us on a lengthy test drive - which was appreciated because we could really get a handle for how the car drives. They were completely accommodating, something we are not used to at dealerships. We've had some bad experiences but this one was the complete opposite. They even sent us out to dinner on their dime while they got the car ready. The manager Jamie went out of his way to get the color my wife wanted and surprised her with it when it was ready. She was elated. We will definitely be back when we're ready for a new car! We highly recommend this dealership. It is staffed by people who actually care about making you happy and completely satisfied with your experience.

Well, I showed up at Pinebelt Subaru to just "look" at the new 2015 wrx sti launch edition to make sure I liked it. You know, sit in it, open the trunk etc etc. Well, I fell in love with it as soon as I sat in it in the showroom floor. Jim greeted me and to my surprise it was the same Jim I worked with about 6 years ago. Jim made the process easy and smooth for me to trade in my 2013 FRS and get into the wrx sti. He even took the extra step to re-look over my car I traded in to get what belongings I forgot. The sales manager was very pleasant to talk to and was never pushy. The finance manager kept giving me good news on how my payments kept going down. Overall, I am very happy with my car and I am happy that I went to Pinebelt, my neighborhood Subaru Dealer and I will will recommend anyone looking for a Subaru or even a pre-owned vehicle.

I had a very nice experience with my Salesman Bill Brand. He seemed genuinely interested and was very personable, as was the Sales Manager and the GM Jaime Palazzo Thanks much Gentlemen for your professionalism. I was able to buy a car that same day knowing that I received a good price. My only complaint is that it is not clear that the Salesmen/Women that you speak to when you first contact the dealership may not be the actual salesperson which you will meet. So after you call or email and develop a rapport with one of the reps and schedule a meeting the person who meets you may not be he same. This was surprising and I feel not a good way to do business. Otherwise, the place is highly recommended. I will repost when I begin to service the vehicle.

I recently bought a used Toyota that they had online and I was very satisfied with the overall experience. They showed to be very helpful when I called them to check if the car is available and they brought it out from the lot so that I can see it right away when I get into the dealer. The staff is very friendly and not pushy the manager and the staff have a nice habit of making sure everyone is very comfortable and in the right place. I had a lengthy email correspondence with Erin in the internet Department regarding a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. I let her know it was a 2 hour drive to get to her dealership and I was not going to come unless the deal was worth it.I was informed that the posted price was $25,356. The manager would be able to discuss further discounts. That additional discount ended up being ZERO. Their price was $600 more than comparable dealers.Next came the trade in. I specifically asked for the Galves values knowing they would offer wholesale trade in value. She refused to send it (That should have been a clue). They referred me to the KBB website which showed a $9,500 trade in value. The car needed a $250 windshield so I informed her I would be looking for a $9,000 trade in value. She said that they were in that range. She was offered $8,350 which was less than the listed value for a car in ROUGH condition. The car is in far from rough condition.Then came the financing. They offered a rate 0.5% ABOVE what other dealers were offering. The finance manager was unwilling to even try to get a better rate and provided a reply that "You can get your own financing". Why go to a dealership then? All in all their net price would have ended up being $1500 MORE than comparable dealers. Not to mention 6 hours of wasted time.

things got hectic when the vehicle I had come to purchase (from an internet search) couldn't be found on the lot. I had made an appointment to come and see the vehicle, and I had been in contact with the internet sales department (Alyson) and the manager, John about my visit. First, let me explain why I chose to shop at this dealer who is about 30 miles from my home and further than three other Subaru dealers; including one whom I purchased from before and was satisfied with.A month, or so, ago I was in the middle of a long drive when a potential problem made itself evident in my vehicle, At 5:00pm, on a Saturday evening, I pulled into Pine Belt Subaru hoping that the service department was miraculously open. Well, it wasn't! But, to my amazement, John Mailot (the sales manager) was able to resolve my issue (at no charge) and get me on my way in under 20 minutes. This was Owner Service as it should be. I decided that the next time I needed a new Subaru, this was a dealership to visit.The opportunity came up much sooner than expected. My daughter and son-in-law decided that they wanted to update one of their cars (a 2005 Forester 2.5X) for a larger vehicle (my 2011 Forester 2.5X Premium). Being a parent, this was a no brainer - - do it. That would leave me with my 2012 Forester 2.5X Touring and the need for a second car.Wanting a smaller car, to better fit in my garage, I investigated numerous models at Toyota, Honda and Kia. Of course, being a Subaru owner made me lean, heavily, towards another Subaru. After test driving several models at Toyota and Kia, I visited a local Subaru dealer and then headed down to Pine Belt. I was going to go on to a Honda dealer - - but never got there! I had wanted to test drive a specific Honda and when I mentioned this to Jason Sansone, my Subaru salesman, he told me he had just taken one in trade and offered it for a test drive (last year's model, but good enough). Less than a mile told me that it was another Subaru for me.Back to Pine Belt Subaru, where every model I wanted to look at was available and quickly brought up for my complete inspection and test drive.Once I settled on a vehicle, 2013 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Sport Limited, Jason and I quickly completed our negotiations. I received an excellent price on my new car and a satisfactory value on my trade in (my daughter's 2005). During our negotiations and subsequent paper work, I was happily munching on available freshly popped popcorn and sipping from a dealer provided bottle of soda. More like visiting friends than doing business!John joined us and we shook hands on the great deal we had arrived at.From there, it was a brief visit with Scott. There was no pressure to add anything to the car. At my request, I purchased a 6 year 60,000 mile Subaru Gold Plus protection plan - - at a price substantially below what other dealers were asking.Shortly, car was delivered to the front door. Jason went over some changes that were made in this model year (CVT, paddle shifters, automatic headlights, etc.) I wrote a check, we did the Motor Vehicle Commission paperwork and I was on my way in my new Subie.From start to finish, a pleasurable experience.Pressure, people are always asking if there was pressure in a new car transaction. Well, there is a salesperson involved and it is his job to present you with a vehicle to satisfy your needs and wants. Is it pressure if he does this in a way that makes you want to buy and buy from him? If you are getting what you want and/or need....maybe a little pressure is called for. In any event, NO, I did not feel I was being pressured at any point. I felt I was getting good advice, and a good deal, from my new "friends" at Pine Belt Subaru.I have been driving Subarus since 1997 and this Impreza makes 11 (not counting the 2012 Outback bought new by my daughter and her husband) that have been in the family fleet. At times, the four drivers in the family were all driving Subarus!! Between moving from NY to NJ, competitive issues, a poor experience with one dealer and closing of two dealerships ....the family has bought Subarus from seven different dealers (to say nothing of the five other dealers we used before we discovered Subaru). Many of them were excellent, but only one of them ever made me feel as much at home as Pine Belt Subaru ...... and that Brooklyn NY dealer went out of business about 20 years ago!My next new car purchase, probably a Subaru, is scheduled for 2015 - 16. I look forward to returning to Pine Belt at that time.Of course, with the fantastic rewards program they offer on service - - - I will be seeing them sooner, rather than later.

I literally just got back from buying my very first car and I have to say I had an amazing experience at Pine Belt Subaru. I did my homework and had been shopping around a lot (both at dealerships and online) and I have to say I was getting really frustrated. I started to understand why car salesmen had a bad reputation for being slick and dishonest. BUT, my experience with MATT MAZZA redeemed my belief that purchasing a car can be a great experience! A BIG SHOUT OUT to ***** MATT MAZZA!!! ****** This guy is really down to earth, honest, knows what he's talking about, and extremely helpful. He wasn't pushy and he didn't try to fast-talk me into buying a car. It was honestly like buying a car from a helpful friend who just wanted to see me get the right car for me at a great price. They beat the quotes from other dealers and Matt made the entire purchasing experience really straightforward and extremely pleasant. Even after I bought the car and signed on the dotted line, Matt Mazza still made sure to walk me through everything, go over the car with me to make sure it was in pristine condition, taught me how to use all the controls, helped me to sync my iphone to the car using bluetooth, etc. After the paperwork is signed, some sales people leave you behind while they focus on the next customer. Not Matt Mazza! He treated me like I was the only customer there and I could tell he wanted to make my purchasing experience the best from the moment I walked in to when I drove the car off the lot. Actually, come to think of it, he was the one who came out of the dealership to greet me when I arrived at the dealership and got out of the car. Amazing service! Also, I wanted to say good things about ** Scott Cersosimo (sp?) ** who did all the paperwork with me. He was extremely patient and took the time to explain everything to me, while also being extremely efficient with all the paperwork that had to be done. He was organized, straight forward, patient, knowledgeable, and really pleasant to work with. Lastly, Jaime Palazzo and John (sorry, don't know his last name) were really helpful and kind on the phone. I actually had a less-than pleasant initial experience with the internet sales department, and John called to follow-up with me afterwards. The only reason I decided to bother coming into the Pine Belt Subaru dealership was because of my phone conversation with John and Jaime. They gave me a great price over the phone and honored their verbal quote when I got into the dealership the next day. Some places give you a quote on a car and then try to convince you to get a different car with expensive options when you actually get to the dealership. They didn't do any of that high-pressure, fast-talking, bait-and-switch stuff. They were straight-forward, honest, and truly very pleasant! THANK YOU, PINE BELT SUBARU! I'm so happy with my car purchase and the overall buying experience with you guys! I wish every dealership was like yours!

I had done some reseacher on the different model types online before I went to the dealership. My intent was to just test drive and sticker shop since I was in the beginning stages of looking for a new car and told that to,Vin Wittmann. He started off by asking my usage for the car, how long I intent to keep the car, and what kind of cars I was comparing to the Subaru. He showed my husband and myself the different models of the Impreza, Forester, and then the CrossTrek. I immediately fell in love with the CrossTrek and during the test drive I knew this was the car for me. Before we left on the test drive he had his fellow team members number chrunch so when we returned to the dealership they were ready if I wanted the car. Also while on the test drive another dealership called about purchasing the CrossTrek that I wanted for another customer. Vin knew our max monthly payment that we could afford and went to bat for us and knew he was under a time constraint since we had a meeting to get to about our son. Vin had Jamie Palazzo calling different lenders to get the best rate and terms for financing (leasing was not an option for us) and John Mailot also made sure of the max monthly payments. I thought that I was going to have to settle for a different model but they all came through to get me the car for the monthly payments that I wanted. I dont know what magic they worked but they all knew I was really excited about the CrossTrek instead of settling for another model. I signed all my paperwork with Scott Cersosimo and he explained all the finance terms, lemon law, and extended warranty. After all the paperwork was signed and car was detailed Vin took the time to help me set up the bluetooth and made sure I knew how to work it. He also took the time to go over the owners manual, quick reference guide, and all the lights and buttons on the dash since the last car I purchased was in 2001. I had mention to Vin, that my previous car I purchased from my cousin who was a sales manager for a Honda dealership at the time and all I did was had to make a call to say this is the car I want and ask he when I wanted it. I will have to say for purchasing my second brand new car this experience was just a easy and painless. Also I work for car insurance company so I speak with a lot of different dealers daily and some are all about the commission. I can honestly say that is was nice to know that I was more then a commission to them and was treated like family just like when I purchased my previous car. Thank you for this painless process and look forward to purchasing another car from Pine Belt Subaru in the future.

My wife and I were looking for a pre-owned car after the Hurricane claimed hers. I met Jason at a store and he had overheard us talking about our negative dealership experiences in the past, and offered his services. My wife gave him a description of what she was looking for, not interested in etc. We stopped by the Subaru dealership a few days later, and Jason had a list of hand picked cars for us to take a look at! That really narrowed it down and made the process a lot easier. My wife, being very specific about her car, was not interested in the first two cars that we looked at. Jason had another idea - a car had come in earlier that day and was being cleaned up in the back. We decided to wait, and another associate Vin offered us Hot Chocolate and some fresh popped popping corn, movie theater style! After a brief wait, the car she was looking for pulled up, an Accord, which she owned before and loved it. Long and short, everything else went smoothly, the price was right (actually lower than what we expected to pay - don't tell them that though!) And we were in and out in around 2 hours. Overall, a great experience.

I traveled from CT to visit Pine Belt Subaru in Lakewood, NJ. Jim Pfister kindly greeted me when I walked in and was very helpful and patient with helping me test drive three cars. He was not pushy and was very well informed about the cars. Jamie Palazzo, who managed the financing, was straightforward and easy to deal with. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at the dealership. It was my first experience buying a car so I was skeptical at first.To fill in more of the details, I had been searching for a specific CPO car and through cars.com I had found a great Outback with low miles at Pine Belt. I had called in to the dealership and spoke to both Ephram and Lisa. Ephram helped me one day and was very helpful. The next day when I called, Ephram was out but Lisa was kind to help answer any question I had. I decided that it would be worth the trip to see the car. However, the car that I had driven almost 4 hours to see was a disappointment. It had a significant amount of dings and it had been a smoking car. I am sure it would still be a good car for somebody but it wasn't for me. Over the phone, I had specifically asked if the car had been smoked in. Lisa said that she would get back to me about that but never did. Perhaps she just forgot but this was a important consideration for me. I also wish she had been more upfront about the dings on the car. That is my only complaint. Had the experience ended there, I would have been disappointed because of my long trip but Jim and Jamie worked hard to find a great car that worked well for me. I settled on a CPO 2013 Outback with low miles for a reasonable price. They seemed to have a good supply of CPO cars. Scott, who helped me with the paperwork, was very friendly and quick.I would surely recommend this dealership to a friend.Thanks to all.Good luck!Mac

We mentioned during the test drive that the heater blower was not working properly. Before we even got into the truck, we were told that they go over all used vehicles completely and replace or repair whatever is needed before the vehicle gets sold. This comes with a charge to the buyer of $795. We were told by our salesman that he would have it looked at again. We were told during the time we waited to purchase the truck that they would NOT look at it again, as it had already been done. We purchased the truck because it was exactly what we were looking for, however, we think that the blower should be checked out since we are paying for the service.

I was greeted by Geo in the expansive parking lot. He escorted me into a beautiful showroom, much nicer than others I've recently been to. I met Jamie, the manager, and he offered me a drink. Then Geo listened to my car needs, pulled up a car for me to test drive, and before we took it out, he showed me the interior, exterior, and trunk areas. He was well spoken and explained things clearly, answering the many questions I had. I took my test drive and then sat down with Geo and Jamie to discuss price. I had an older BMW that I had purchased about a year ago from a dealer near me, and it had started to give me problems. I decided to see what I could do about trading it in. The BMW was high mileage and had a few problems I just no longer felt like putting the money into to fix. When I was looking around the lot, I met Brianna who was very friendly and eager to help me. I told her I wanted an Impreza sedan and she said that they had one left. It was a very well equipped limited and I loved it. My credit wasn't the greatest, and I was very heavy into my trade in, but Brianna, Jamie and Lindsay did not give up on me. They worked with me for hours to get me out of my BMW and into the Impreza. I offered to come back the next day because it was closing time, but they insisted on staying. In the end, I left with the Impreza for a great price and I was very happy with the service I received. I would recommend Pine Belt Subaru to anyone! Thank you everybody!

Dealership personnel is friendly and personable. Parts prices are reasonable and service is down to earth and pleasant to deal with! Rudy the parts manager is great and the sales man Jason is an asset to the dealership, he was honest and to the point! Price of the Forester I purchased was fair but not great! Jaime the manager and Lindsay the financial person were both accommodating. Pete the service manager has a hard job but does it without much problems he is a professional as well. I would rate my experinces with the dealership about a 4.5 out of 5.

I went in to find a new car and dealt with a associate who I don't want to reveal, the dealership was really pushing to put me into a car that they knew I was very unhappy with.. They also tried slipping a sheet that released the title, insurance, and the car to them and we didn't even work a deal.. They came out with a ridiculous offer and I was about to leave.. Then the salesperson told me they put the wrong amount of miles in.. And the deal dropped 100 dollars.. I know for a fact miles drop the price about 11 dollars.. I went for a second opinion and the other dealer couldn't come close to th deal.. Saying if I want that car go sign the papers because its an unheard of deal.. So I went with another car from a different dealer and I couldn't be happier.. Don't waste your time.. There is sketchy business going on here..

I was looking for a 2010 Subaru Outback. I screened cars online and found 3-4 available in this dealership that met my criteria, while other dealerships only had 1 each. Pine Belt Subaru have large inventory of new and used cars. It made it easy to choose one without too much driving around. I took Monday off to buy the car and arrived at 10:30 in the morning. Bill met me at the door, took basic info and then showed me 2 cars I was interested in primarily. They had 2 more I saved for backup. We went for a test drive, I inspected the vehicles and I made my choice. The car I picked was really the best available from my screenings. It had the lowest mileage, the color I liked and the features. It was a little dirty inside. Looks like previous owner spilled a few things on the seats. But what can you do. Anyway, Bill answered all my questions and was generally helpful.Then we went over prices. Bill said they advertized online their "internet" price. It was $19,999 vs $22,000 blue book value for the car. And that they charged everybody extra $675 over that plus taxes, titles and registration. So $19,999 became $22,791 after all the taxes and charges. Which is still at the KBB value for this car. They valued my trade-in - an old 1999 Volvo and offered me just $750 for it. I declined. After that, the process was smooth. We went over options and signed the documents. The only hick-up was with my pre-arranged financing. I got loan in advance from Bank of America, who offered me low rates and no fees. It took some time to get my bank and the dealer to negotiate all the formalities, fax each other documents and deposit money to my account. Another hick-up was with the dealership manager's insistence to sell me extended warranty for extra $1000-$2500. I have had bad experience with warranties before, so I declined. But it took a while to say no to this. It's probably extra money maker for the dealer. It may have been a good deal, especially for $1000 with $100 deductible, but I was going over my financial limits and didn't want to add more to my monthly payment. In the end, we left around 3pm, very tired but happy that we finished in one day. Really the financing from a bank with whom this dealer doesn't do regular business was the most complicated part and took most time. But I saved a few hundreds on interest and fees that way. Bill Brand is a great salesman. Very pleasant and friendly. So if you are looking for a new or used Subaru, I highly recommend Pine Belt in Lakewood.

We believe and trusted in our friends at Pine Belt because of the wonderful experience we had purchasing and servicing our 2010 Forrester. I negotiated with the salesman and manager here to trade in my truck for a new Impreza. We got to the point where they would give me $15,500 for my truck and the car would be $23,000 and my monthly payment would be $337 per month. I said I would think about it and for them to get back to me if they could do any better. A few days later they contacted me saying that was the best they could do. I said if you could take off another $12 a month we would have a deal and they agreed. This would be $325 a month according to them. This would give me another $864 to be added to my truck or taken off the price of the car. I went back to finalize the deal and when I sat down to do the paper work things didn't add up. The monthly payment was $328 a month so I started looking at the purchase price of the car and the trade in value of my truck. Instead of giving me more for my truck the contract said $15,000 and the car price was just under $23,000, I think it was $22,930. According to my agreement with Geo Padilla I should have been at $15,500 for my truck and $22,136 for the car or the $864 applied to my trade either way i borrow the same amount. This was $1,364 off. This was all after I've spent two nights there negotiating with them because the truck I purchased from them two years prior had been in an accident before i bought it. That I only found out when looking for a new car this time. They told me when I bought it that it had never been in an accident but i found out that it was. I gave this Dealership a second chance and that was a big mistake and i definately wont do it again.

Im not a huge fan of posting anything online as everyone has different expectations and opinions but Im gonna relate my experience here for all to read. I was recently in the market to replace 2 of my vehicles. As a former Subaru owner, there was little question about what I wanted. My wife also knew exactly what she wanted. After searching online databases we knew there werent a lot of the specific models in the required colors available within a reasonable range. I have previously purchased from Ron at Pine Belt and was very comfortable in dealing with him. The main issue is I didnt want someone trying to sell me something other than what it was I was looking for just because it was on the lot or a more profitable model. We did visit the other local dealers but returned to PB for the purchase. I assume selling cars is selling cars no matter where you are but Im writing this because I feel that the guys at PB went a bit above and beyond to locate the 2 vehicles we were looking for. We were not adversed to ordering exactly what we were looking for and waiting, but they did find both vehicles and had them ready for pick up in a week. It was a pretty involved day as we traded in several vehicles and picked up a couple. We dealt with Ron, Matt, John, Jaime, and probably a couple others behind the scene on the locate end. As always Pete and Rudy were helpful in some of the after sale items. If you live in the area and want a Subaru Id recommend this dealership and yes we now have Subaru number 6 and 7.

I have dealt with this Dealership three years ago for two other Vehicles which I owned.One of them came due today. Of course most of the faces from three years move on. So aside from meeting the new salesman and always introduce yourself to the GM, the deal can be made with a smooth transition. Not that I have purchased many cars in my lifetime, but I have to admit that our experience with Pine Belt was the most pleasant of all. The entire staff that we dealt with was pleasant, curtious, knowledgable, not pushy, exuded a level of trustworthiness that is hardly felt when dealing with car salesmen and a nice touch was allowing us to take a car home to test drive. We pretty much had our mind set on a Subaru Outback and Pine Belt was our first and only stop as the experience warranted no further shopping. We are now happy and proud owners of a 2010 Subaru Outback thanks to Pine Belt.

I have just leased my 4th Subaru vehicle. I have spent the last 14 years driving only Subaru. I have loved every single one of them. I have dealt only with the Pine Belt Subaru dealer in Lakewood NJ. This dealership has always treated me with courtesy, professionalism and has never made me feel obligated or pressured to purchase any of the 4 vehicles I have leased through their dealership. My first lease was a Subaru Legacy; I drove that car for 5 years and it was wonderful, never a single issue and it drove beautifully. I then leased the Subaru Forrester, LL Bean edition, again, simply perfect. I loved the Forrester so much my 3rd lease was also a Forester, limited edition. Never a single issue with the car and the safety features ( all-wheel drive, anti-lock brakes, I.H.S. top safety pick for all 2012 models) is the reason I continue to drive only Subaru. My most recent lease was the 2013 Outback, what a beauty! This car is simply amazing! The gas mileage is terrific; the heated seats are just an absolute bonus, 6 airbags and the most comfortable ride! Need I say more? Subaru and I are perfect together! My salesperson was Ron Sikkama, I personally requested him because he was my salesperson for my last Subaru lease 3 and half yrs. ago, and he was excellent. Ron is the kind of man all car dealerships should strive to employ. He is so laid back, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the Subaru line. I inundated Ron with so many questions, and he answered each and every one without hesitation or annoyance (I was quite annoying with the number of questions) Ron made me feel comfortable, very comfortable, that is a rarity at any car dealership. It was very clear to me; he had only my best interest at heart. I can only hope Ron is there in 2015 when I WILL be back to lease my 5th Subaru. I also spent a great deal of time with Jaimie Palazzo, the General Manager. This man is a saint. Jaimie was responsible for the financial end of this deal. I kid you not, when I say I put this man through Hell and back. He sat down with me in the showroom and quoted me a price for leasing the 2013 Outback. I am not exaggerating when I tell you, I sent this poor man back to his office time and time again to re- crunch the numbers. I wanted a price for 12,000 miles, then 10,000 miles, and then 42 months, and then 36 months, then with auto start, I then had the audacity to ask him not to forget about the Lease Loyalty Program. I think Jaimie lost a good 10 lbs. that day, going to and from his office from the showroom. Long story short (I guess its too late for that) I got the most amazing deal. I could not be happier. Finally, I had the pleasure to meet Geo Padilla. Geo is also a sales associate and his job was to explain to me how to use the blue tooth hands free phone option in the Outback. Well, this would not be an easy feat. Technology and I are not on the same planet. I still have no idea how to program or use my blue ray DVD player, Record a show to my Dvr, GPS forget about it, and my iPhone 4s is an absolute mystery. Geo had his work cut out for him on this one god help him. Geo sat with me in the car and very patiently explained how this feature works with my I phone, the same I phone I only know how to text or make a call on. Amazingly, Geo was a success. I am still in shock over this one! I am fully knowledgeable in the use of the blue tooth phone feature; simply astounding! I would highly recommend Pine belt Subaru of Lakewood to anyone and everyone. The staff and the Subaru line are top notch!

I was in the market for a new car with a few makes/models in mind. My first (and only) stop was Pine Belt Subaru. I convinced my father to come along and when we left our home neither of us spoke of it, but both of us dreaded this would be an all day affair. We rolled into the dealership parking lot where we were greeted by Jason Sansone. To keep it short, Jason was not the stereotypical car salesman that many of us imagine. He is a normal guy that values much the same in life that I do: family, friends, pets, sports etc. My father and I were able to walk about the lot of new Legacys until i was sure of the one I wanted with no pressure at all. After choosing one I told Jason where i wanted to be with the payments and there was NO running back and forth to sales/financial supervisors. I think he went into that office twice, once with their first offer and a second time with mine, and that was that. Matt in finance dept. was helpful in giving me a great deal on the extended warranty and gap insurance. The car was washed and brought out front for me where Jason assisted in cleaning out my old car. I didnt time it exactly but we got to the dealer a bit before 12pm and we were taking off towards home before 3pm. To no fault of anyone inparticular, and I had not even realized, I didnt leave with my temp registration. No worries because Jason had drove to my home to drop it off at 9pm on his way home. This was a great overall car buying experience that wiped the slate clean of the bad experiences I had from years ago.

Gil, my salesman, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the sales manager was very friendly as well, just make sure you go over your contract line by line and get exactly what you pay for and don't pay for what you don't get. My contract had a window etching added in and the window was not etched. I caught it and had them remove it from the price. Besides, it's just a moneymaking scheme anyway. It costs about $20 to etch a window and they charge $375. Another thing to watch for is their lifetime warranty and one year free oil change scheme. They say that if you get all your service done at their dealership you will get a free lifetime warranty on your car. They say the car needs and oil change and preventive service every 7500 miles. What they don't tell you is that the oil change is just that, oil and a filter, nothing else. The 7500 mile service that they require you to get for the free lifetime warranty, costs about $150. That's where they rotate the tires, fill your fluids, and inspect the belts, hoses, etc. Every other shop does all that as part of the oil change except for the tire rotation, but that is usually about $20 extra. If you don't pay for the service, you don't get the warranty. So it's really not a free warranty. In the long run, you are paying for it. You should also know that most auto insurance companies will sell you mechanical breakdown coverage at a very reasonable rate that will cover you for most mechanical and electrical failures on your car. I have this coverage with a $250 deductible and it costs about $100 per year per car.

They were extremely friendly even the employees I wasn't dealing with were also friendly.The only negative thing was they made it hard to leave without buying something. I was in the market for an Impreza. I had contacted the dealership via email and had several questions answered via this media. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by Bill Brand. Bill was knowledgeable of the vehicle in question, was not pushy and responded to all of my questions in a professional and courteous manner. I was able to secure a deal on the vehicle I was interested in. Both John Mailot and John Mastro were great to work with. After the sale Bill Brand reviewed all of the features in the vehicle with me when it was delivered. I have purchased vehicles in the past from Pine Belt dealers but this was the first time I purchased at Pine Belt Subaru. This dealership is not the typical highway dealer with the high pressure sales people and the "let me talk to my manager" mentality. I was able to speak directly to the finance manager and the sales manager. I recommend Pine Belt Subaru and the Pine Belt family of dealerships.

I went to Pine Belt knowing full well they didn't have the car i wanted but i wanted to know if they could get it and make a better offer for my trade in. I was pleasantly surprised that they were welcoming and open to me and my daughter. i was offered options as to how to get what i wanted and i wasn't just heard, i was listened to. John and Larry were very flexible and courteous. We settled on the car i wanted and they were able to located it and transfer it to their inventory in roughly 24 hours. I went to the dealer prepared with numbers, printouts and financing done. John Mailot outdid my numbers and offered me an even lower rate than i already had. that impressed me greatly. Well I guess cold calls pay off for all parties involve. It was due to a call out of the blue that intrigued my husband and I to test drive the new 2012 Outback.We had looked at the Outback2 years prior but decided on the Forester. However after owning the Forester for two years we felt we need for a little more room for our road trips. Jim Pfister was wonderful to deal with. Very informative and did not intimidate us with high sale pressure techniques. The car itself had improvements made to it that we noticed since our previous test drive. Handling for one and even something as small as the seat adjustment. It was now better for my short stature. This time i could adjust the seat to see over the hood. Jamie and John were also pleasant to deal with. I felt that all parties treated us with fairness and respect. I had an negative experience with another "local" dealership 2 years ago that caused us to walk, and that is how we originally came to Pine Belt. Our negative experience was turned into a positive one with our Forester purchase at Pine Belt and now we're back!When opportunity arises I will highly recommend this dealership and specifically Jim Pfister for sales. The amount of time he spent with us going over the car was phenomenal as I am very technically challanged.Buying a car can be very stressful for many of us, it's a big purchase in an area where the buyer has limited knowledge even when they've done their homework, and Pine Belt made it virtually painless.Thank you so much.

I went to Pine Belt Subaru with the expectation of taking a 2012 Outback for a test drive. I found a car on the lot I was interested in and was met outside by Gil, my salesperson. He was friendly and very knowledgeable on the Outback. I took the test drive and really liked the car. I had done a lot of research ahead of time so I knew what I was looking for. I didn't expect to be buying a car because I figured they wouldn't give me anything close to what I was looking for on my trade.I gave them the opportunity to appraise my car with little expectations. I was surprised at their first offer. It was much higher than I expected, but I knew that my trade was in mint condition and a very desirable vehicle so I held out for more. After some negotiating we came to an agreeable price. It was a good experience for me. I'm not intimidated by these kind of situations like some might be. I also negotiated a good price on a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty, and on top of everything else, I got a free Garmin GPS unit. The overall experience was very good and I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a good selection of Subaru vehicles.

Purchased a new Subaru after 5 or 6 visits over a 6 month period of visits to the dealership. The fourth visit was when we were lucky enough to speak with Dave. Very helpful and laid back. Great person to deal with since we did not know if we wanted used or new. He was very patient with us. We finally purchased a new Subaru Outback. The price of this automobile was more than I wanted to spend but we worked it out. I must say that all the sales people we spoke with during all of our visits were knowledgeable and were responsible for our final decision to purchase a Subaru.

Then, while purchasing our pre-owned 2009 Subaru Forester we noticed a couple of things that needed the attention of the service department. I purchased my first car this past Tuesday at Pinebelt Subaru. I walked in to the dealership with my father and mother on hand to help me make the right decision. I'm 28, but I know nothing about cars or negotiating! We met with Ron Sikkema, and he was ultimately responsible for handling the sale of the car to me. It was freezing on the day that we went. Ron spent as much time as we needed walking around outside looking at the different models and providing valuable insight as to the benefits/drawbacks of certain Subaru models. I can't speak highly enough about Ron. I was nervous that whoever I worked with was going to pressure me into a sale that I wasn't comfortable. Ron never pressured me to do anything. He made suggestions based on what I told him I needed from the car. He never told me to buy a specific model or push me to upgrade to the premium or limited options. My whole family agreed that he was just so comfortable and easy to work with. A VERY nice man who genuinely wanted to see me leave with the right car. And I did! I purchased a 2012 Subaru Legacy, and I am ecstatic. Ron was very thorough in helping me through every step of the purchase process (pricing, finding insurance, etc.) I believe I got a great deal on this car. My mother and father are both going back to Ron in the next few months to buy Subarus as well. We are a subaru family, because they really are such great cars. They gave me a very competitive bid initially, were straight forward/honest, and did not try to pull any tricks. I was very pleased dealing with them and I would recommend others to consider purchasing at this dealership. To be frank, I dreaded having to deal with car salesmen but these guys were a pleasure to deal with. This includes the salesman Gil and the manager who did not remain behind the office door, playing "good cop versus bad cop", but he also dealt straight with me. I hate to admit it but it was a pleasure dealing with them.

I called in to Pine Belt Subaru only to get information on the new 2012 Foresters. I had zero intent on purchasing a car at all. I was connect with Matt who was the complete and total opposite of what you would assume a car salesmen would be. He was the nicest, and most polite car salesmen I have ever dealt with. By the time Matt and I were done on the phone I was more then willing to look at a car for purchase. I went to the dealership the next day and talked with a number of different employees within the company and ended up buying the car. I would not only highly recommend Pine Belt, but I would hands down say to deal with Matt Mazza directly.

Excellent price quoted by Internet Team. Tried to get lower price, but could not be beaten. No qualms about Internet price quoted for exact type of new car wanted and preferred options. Visited showroom 11/17/11 and had brand new Subaru Outback 2.51 Premium in the color (high demand) and all options picked, which I drove home on 12/1/11. No trade in. Everyone was very nice and worked with me; no high pressure sale or warranty. I would buy another car from Pine Belt Subaru, it was such a wonderful experience.

I searched all over New Jersey and New York for the best price I could get on a 2011 Subaru Forester. I got the best price from Pine Belt and nobody could even come close to the price. The employees were very friendly at the dealership and they even drove to Pennsylvania to get me the car in the color I wanted. I would never go anywhere else but Pine Belt from here on out. I also have had bad experiences with management at other dealers but the manager John was excellent and extremely friendly.

Peter (the service manager) is always accommodating and polite, as well as knowledgeable about my car. He is always available and helpful regarding any issues that arise with my vehicle. My mechanic, (Eric Heck) is the best mechanic at Pinebelt Subaru. He is always able to diagnose and fix any problem that arises with my car. Peter always keeps me abreast of any information he receives regarding my Subaru. Rudy (in Parts) is an asset to Pinebelt Subaru; he is always helpful and efficient. I would highly recommend any of the employees in the Pinebelt Subaru Service Department.

Was interested in a 2011 pre-owned car, car was listed for $23915, they changed the price, increased by almost $2k, per the salesman because it was "certified pre-owned", yet they advertised it as certified pre-owned at the 23915 price. I'm out of state so they met me in PA to deliver the car but the pictures they sent prior to delivery neglected to take a picture of the dent in the front passenger side fender. They did not secure an inspection in my state, so I had to go get the car inspected at an additional cost to me, they gave me temp tags which expired yesterday and although I have contacted them since last week for my new tags, they would not get back with me, they didn't answer my emails, they promised to call back and didn't, they promised to overnight them and they didn't. Finally called a tag/title company in my state and they verified that my tags have been issued and gave me my title number so that I could print temp tags, where as Pine Belt has still not sent the tags that were issued. I would not purchase from them again, they do the bait and switch and once the sale is complete they don't care if you have the tags to operate the vehicle legally.
