I am writing just for the Monterey Porsche Classic event that took place and not the Porsche Sales and Service. Since it is Monterey Car Week. It is a kick off event for the Porsche to have their event first on a Monday. My 2nd appearance on this event. Not much of what is paraded on the street, mostly new models of the year 2000s and less of the 70s and 80s. I prefer the 50s which were a few Speedsters. The good is that complimentary wines were accessible and food trucks were stationed not like before. An annual event where Porsche lovers, enthusiasts and owners come, mingle and share stories of their beloved cars.

What can I say, a Porsche 911 Carrera S pretty much sells itself. However, the dealership can certainly make or break the deal. Porsche Monterey has professional and knowledgeable salespeople who certainly are not pushy. After looking extensively I can say what they charge for their vehicles is fair, if not better than the rest of the dealerships.

Plan to go back and see if there is a car for me that makes sense ! In $ & Cents! Emotionally of course I want one but is this the car for me ? Spousy wants no part of it. Aren't you tired of hand me downs

***I got the refund finally, a little over two years after my purchase. **Although the buying experience was as stated below I am disappointed to report that follow-up has not been stellar. I was pressured into buying a wheel/tire warranty and ceramicpro protection from the guy (Gary I think, but not 100% sure) who calls you to congratulate you on your purchase. They ended up shipping the car without doing the ceramicpro and it took over 3 months to get that refunded. I ended up trading my Turbo S in on a GT3 about 4 months after my purchase and have still not been refunded the remaining portion of my wheel/tire warranty. I have sent multiple emails to John (who continues to send me emails about new cars he gets but never replies to any of my responses asking for help getting my wheel tire warranty refunded) and to Gary and to the general email. I have called multiple times and told my messages would be delivered to who it needed to be sent to. The warranty was 7 years pro-rated and so I should be getting the majority of my 2k back. No word, from anyone. Seems they were only interested in selling the one car to me- I live in Provo Utah and have been looking for a 2016 Turbo S for a while. I actually bought one from Porsche West Boward in Florida. Well, I thought I bought one. The day after I sent Boward a copy of my license, insurance, address and all of that I got a text saying they were sorry they sold my car to a walk-in instead. I was pretty frustrated and almost quit looking for out-of-state cars. The next day I got a follow up email from John. I responded with details on my 2011 Turbo S that I wanted to trade. John replied in less than 10 minutes with a trade price. That got my attention, most other dealers replied in days (if at all) and would ask for information I'd already provided. I was impressed that John paid attention and seemed to genuinely want my business. From there on the transaction went quickly and smoothly. Except for 1 phone call the entire transaction was done through email (my preferred method of contact). I could not be happier with my low mileage certified car and the prompt and competent attention from John. My faith in the out-of-state transaction is renewed and I will definitely be buying more Porsche's from John.

Laid-back, humble, and pleasant - all words you would not typically use to describe a car dealership, but that is what Porsche Monterey is. One of the best car buying experiences I've had to date. Fair trade in value, hospitable staff, and a very organized team. Thank You!
