I purchased a beautiful blue 2020 Ford Edge ST . The experience was stress free and extremely enjoyable because of my salesman, Jonathan. During my visit Jacob and the owner Jason kept me occupied with endless conversation. Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable and his personality was great. Most of my inquiries were conducted on the phone. When I arrived Jonathan had my car detailed and ready for my test drive. They gave me such a great deal I didn't haggle with the price. Now came time to hand over the check from my credit union. This is when their financial guru Bob Dollar came into the picture. Bob stated if I allowed him to make inquiries to some other banks he could save me money. I figured nothing ventured nothing gained. To my surprise Bob got me a great rate and saved me money. This is the first time in over 30 years of buying a car, that we did not wait over 3 hours to have paperwork done and sit. Excellent experience once again at the Porter Ford Service Department. Oil Change and tire rotation. I had a 7:30 am appointment. I was out the door by 8:45 am. Everyone in the Service Department was extremely friendly. Everyone wanted to make sure the service I received was satisfactory. The Service Manager introduced himself and wanted to know if I had any questions, or needed anything. Just a great, overall experience.

Justin was helpful and respectful, no complaints with him. I feel like every time I leave my car to get the oil changed though something ends up broken. This last time, the hood release in the car was "broken". I don't know that I have ever even opened the hood of my car, so not really sure how it could have been broken. The time right before that, I started my car to have the low tire light on. It had not been on when I dropped it off, I went back inside and they told me I needed a new tire when this tire wasn't even 6 months old. I am getting discouraged. Thanks, Tammy

The staff was very helpful and the service was good. The only disappointing thing about my experience is how the service department handles oil changes. Originally, I only scheduled an oil change. I received a phone call from someone asking if there was any other services I wanted. When I said no, I was told to bring my car in using the Express Oil Change service. If I wanted to sit and wait for my car, I wouldn't have scheduled an appointment. I had to reschedule and add additional services so I could have an actual appointment. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Now everyone please read this; as the advertisement says Stop the press... Wow, wow, wow! I was sitting home on Saturday looking online for my next pre owned vehicle and found exactly what I wanted My new Ford Escape 2013... Yes I call it NEW because the car is immaculate and had only 9016 miles and the price way below any competitors list price. I requested online to see the vehicle and within 5 minutes I heard back from Gina then within another 2-3 minutes had my test drive set up for Monday. One ride in the vehicle sold me. I wanted to be test drive a few other Escapes just to positively certain that my first choice was the one. So Gina took the extra time and showed me several others, moving vehicles around the lot to get to the other choices, with such patience and positive attitude. Now I have to mention Rob the finance manager worked his magic...got me the best rate...oh my trade in was a very acceptable offer also. When I sat down with Rob he thorough and knowledgeable about the best extended warranties, rates and other valuable offers they had to offer. By 7:00pm I was driving home my new Ford Escape, only was that late in the evening because I had to go back to work after my test drive and had to complete sale after work. Both Gina and Rob stayed way past their shift so I could drive home my new vehicle that day. I purchased the car I traded in 4 years earlier and returned to Porter Ford in Newark, Delaware because of sales and service team. I work in Homecare as a therapist and when I took the car in traded in for service they always provided me with a loaner vehicle so I could go treat my sick patients. Oil Change, service was great as always with the Porter group , the only thing was it took over two hours for the oil change, but in there defense I was told it was 1.5 to two hour wait. Will always take it to Porters as long as I am in Delaware. I have purchased 3 vehicles from them that says a lot about the Porter Team .

My wife and I have been looking for a specific 2014 Mustang Convertible for some time. We were able to find one that matched our wish list perfectly, the only problem was that it was at Porter Ford and that was 350 miles from where we lived. We made an initial contact with our sales consultant first by email and then by phone. The people I talked to couldn't have been more helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns, as we had never purchased a car this far away before. Chris and Jacob couldn't have been more patient and helpful to us. After agreeing on a price if we liked the vehicle we took the trip to Newark to see and drive the car. I brought my 2013 F-150 in for an appointment to have the 4WD looked at by a service technician. I was greeted promptly and checked in without any problems. I waited for the shuttle driver in the customer waiting area. I was dropped off at my house and picked up at the end of the day to retrieve my vehicle. Some poor communication on the front-end to set-up a time to drop-off. Web-site does not allow you to choose a time, it chooses it for you. I got a drop-off time from web-site of 2 PM but needed to drop-off in morning so I called and then was told the 2 PM would not work. so why even have a web-site if the appointments aren't real? No real person answering phone - all voice-mail. No call backs from messages left. However, after finally getting the appointment set it was great service. If the front-end communication was smoother and easier, I would have given top ratings for all.

Initially, I wasn't sure I wanted to trade in my '12 Mustang GT. Then the paint started to bubble. It was out of warranty so Ford wouldn't fix it. Usually I'm very happy with your service but not so much this time. HOWEVER, the service staff is always pleasant and punctual.F150 was running starting with noise and vibration and running very rough under load and the "check engine" light was on. This has happened before, under warranty, and was rectified via a computer adjustment. This time shop diagnostics and test drive failed to duplicate the issue (which I find hard to understand because whenever I tried to pass a vehicle at 55 or 65 MPH it was very obvious) uncover the cause. #1 and #2 ignition coils were swapped which I don't quite understand. Engine light is back on and still running rough. It looks like I'll be coming back.Isn't there a way to test ignition coils instead of swapping them and waiting to see if the issue resurfaces?

Other car dealerships include the tire rotation. To have the tires rotated costs as much, if not more, than a oil change and tire rotation with a couponfound weekly in the local news paper.

I'm not hard of hearing but he was very difficult to understand and the explanation of what was wrong with my vehicle was almost incoherent. Like he didn't know what the issue was so he could not elaborate. Time is precious. I need clear, concise communication. We were half way into our trip towing a boat when we started having overheating problems. We thought it was a thermostat and couldn't find anybody on a Saturday at noon to help us. Somebody suggested we call Porter. I spoke with Justin who asked some techs to stay until we got there. It wasn't a thermostat and they were not able to get all the parts to fix it until Monday. Justin provided us with a car so we could start vacation. The truck was fixed Monday as promised and running well. The people at Porter saved our vacation. They didn't know us and had no reason to go out of their way for us but they did.

As always when we use Porter Service we have never been disappointed with any phase of the experience. Our Service Writer, Lorenzo, was a helpful, courteous, gentleman who explained exactly what was going to happen & cost of service. He didn't try to push "EXTRAS" on things we didn't need or couldn't afford. He is a wonderful representative for your Public Image. We own a 2012 Ford Taurus. John Meginniss, service consultant, has done everything I have asked, and even more. Haven't had too many problems, but when I have he has made sure they were corrected. Feel very comfortable when I take my vehicle in for service. The car was in a wreck about a year ago. When we picked the car up I stated that there was to much play in the steering wheel. They said it was normal. Recently it stared to get worse, and had a clicking noise when turning right. I took it to Porter Ford and they fixed it.

We are an auto shop that took care of a customer for warranty purposes. We towed the vehicle to Porter. Great service, with the exception of one thing. The tech that worked on it knew that it was a warranty so the service inspection was rushed through. Comparison between our facility's inspection, and Porter Ford's inspection print out yielded two different results. We had to explain to the customer that the Ford dealership was not thorough in their inspection because it was a simple warranty job, and the Ford tech knew that he was not going to up-sell any extra work for going over the vehicle. She will be returning here for the necessary work. Thank you.

Took my C-Max in for service. The traction control wouldn't engage, the airbag light was on and my Navigation would not track. I have a extended warranty thru Porter Ford. I was told that there was a recall and a part was ordered. Three day later I got a call that the car was ready but an update to the navigation was needed and there would be an $89 charge. I explained I had an extended warranty and though it should be covered. After some discussion the service manager agreed to cover the update under the extended warranty. I've had problems with navigation tracking system sense I bought the C-Max and think there should be a permanent fix for it. There "updates" seam to work for a while but then it can't track reliable again. At the very least the updates should be free.

Had a problem with front end shaking when I braked on my F-150 -- Rich, the Porter Service Manager, overheard my conversation with the service writer and offered to take a test drive with me right then. He quickly identified the problem, explained the problem and suggested solution which Lorenzo, Porter's service writer, quickly scheduled into the shop after securing an opening. This on a Friday at 12:30! Took the Porter "taxi" home, Lorenzo called me when the job was done and helped me feel as though the cost was the lowest amount to do the job right. Wow! Great service guys.

I thought it was just a blown fuse and could be fixed in just a few minutes. But Lorenzo warned me that even if it is a blown fuse they are still going to want to figure out why the fuse blew. It turned out there were actually seals that were missing and had to be replaced. It was all done in the same day. My appointment was made quickly and my problem was resolved quickly. Even the shuttle drive home was fast friendly and efficient.

I received a card in the mail describing trade-in values on Ford Escapes, so I thought I would come over and take a look at an Explorer as well as the financing. I had some scheduling issues, so I called Michael Williams and he was terrific in working me into his busy day. I had already purchased the Escape from him 3 years ago, so I was familiar with him.He is someone who truly takes the time to go the extra mile ~ he was a pleasure to deal with the last time, and my experience with him was just as great this time. He is very knowledgeable and makes the information so easy to understand. I can't say enough about him and his Professional manner. I liked the numbers and ultimately settled on the 2015 White Explorer. . . which I only had approximately 4 days before I took it on a road trip for a vacation. I love it. . . it handled beautifully! Plus I am enjoying learning about all of it's features and how to work them. I believe everything was fully explained to me before I left the parking lot . . I had no questions when I got home regarding anything that was necessary for immediate use.I have no problem recommending Porter to friends ~ I haven't dealt with any salesman other than Michael, so he is the first one I would send my friends to.

My transit connect had some minor electrical problems and all issues were addressed and corrected in a very prompt and professional manner. As always everyone was pleasant and courteous. I went for an oil change as I usually do and I went at a later time in the day than usual, there were several cars before me and the gentlemen said it would be about an hour and 10 minutes, and that they would try and have it done earlier if possible. So I decided to wait and went and talked to the salesmen Chris Mann who sold me my car and the time flew by, my phone rang and I didn't answer it due to talking with Chris. When I went back over to see if my car was done it was outside and done. I paid and left. when I got into my car I listened to the voicemail of the call I didn't answer, it was Ford calling me to tell me my vehicle was ready and what they did. I thought this was beyond good business, they knew I was waiting for awhile and wanted to make sure I was notified promptly when my car was ready. As usual always pleased with their service.

Folks, As usual your service was excellent from start to finish. While there I visited your showroom because new car fever is setting in again. I'm considering several options but the vehicle must be American made. I am not interested in buying any vehicle made south of the border only because American workers need jobs. Our Fusion was made in Mexico and I was not aware of that fact until after we bought it. The smallest American made vehicle in your showroom was the Explorer which is larger than we want. In addition it should be a Ford product based on bad experiences with GM and Chrysler vehicles. One of our vehicles in a Mazda Tribute which is really a Ford Escape made in Kansas City. It has less than 50K on it and is basically like new. I looked at a new Escape and was not impressed. Fortunately I am not in a hurry and will probably wait but unless Ford makes something that makes sense to me, It's going to be Subaru SUV.

My most recent experience was on Thursday April 30, 2015 when I brought my Ford Edge in for 60,000 service and a mirror outside repair I had damaged. As usual, John Meginniss provided excellent service. Both Lorenzo Hines and John are the service staff I normally deal with and both are excellent. I purchased my Ford Edge at Porter Ford from Garrett Otto in Newark in 2011, and had not owned a Ford until then for about 20 years. My experience was so so positive, that my husband purchased Ford Taurus from Porter soon after. One of the very positive things is the service at Porter Ford. It is very customer oriented from the moment the service manager comes to the car to log me in with the wireless laptop, to the friendly shuttle bus drive who transports me back and forth to work. The newly renovated waiting area and coffee are also appreciated. Communication about issues that arise when my car is being served is also immediate by phone, with options. The service would be one reason I would purchase another Ford from Porter Ford.

My 2014 Ford Escape has a power lift gate option that malfunctioned. I contacted Porter Ford and let them know, they got me in within a few days and fixed the problem. It only took 45 minutes to assess and fix it which was great because I had my three-year old with me :)

I have worked with Koon's Ford and Ahmed for a few purchase now and this time it was for my father. He is 80 years old but knows what he wanted and it was a Ford Fusion. A ruby-red Ford Fusion to be exact. I found a local dealer and he and my step mother test drove it and loved it. I then worked with Koon's Ford of Baltimore to work on a price and Ahmed was wonderful. Within a week we had everything wrapped up and what a wonderful Easter surprise they had.

First let me say how much I love Porter Ford and the service staff. I have dealt with both Lorenzo Hines and John Meginniss. I brought my Ford Explorer in for service on Wednesday April 1, 2015, I was greeted immediately by Lorenzo - who set up the scheduled service. I was having trouble with my gear shift showing that it was in park, and I was also in need of an oil change. The part for the gear shift was ordered earlier in the year but with the weather I was unable to get it back any sooner. Lorenzo took the time to look up everything that was needed for my SUV. I am in the Ford club - so my oil changes are free, but I did upgrade to the premium oil change after being informed by Lorenzo of all that it offered. I was called the next day (Thursday) at around 10 that my SUV was done and that it was ready for pickup. I arrived around 6 (after work) to pick it up on Thursday - paid for my service $100 deductible( member of Ford Premium) and the 24.00 for the upgraded oil change. Drove home and did not move the car again until Friday when I used it to run errands for our Family Easter Gathering. Imagine my surprise when I notice that yes the gear shift was replaced but that the bag or sack around the gear shift was loose and just flopping around. I had my whole day planned out and was very upset that I was given my car back with the job incomplete. Like I said I had numerous places to stop and a number of things to do around the house on my day off. I called my husband who told me to bring it home and he would look at it. He did and said the the console had to be taken apart and that the bag/sack had to be completely snapped in. This required a follow up to Porter Ford. Knowing that I had numerous things to do - my husband had to stop what he was doing to take the SUV back to Porter for someone to fix the problem. He was gone about 45 minutes. I really think that whoever installed the new gear shift should have known that it was not installed properly when they drove the car out to the parking lot. I am always 100% pleased with Porter Ford - but this time - no so much. As stated above Lorenzo and John are the best. They always treat you like friends. Always have a smile on their faces. Rob was excellent and I appreciate the time he took with me even though I started my contact with him via web messaging. Other dealerships did not take me seriously and Rob did. He took the time to work with me and followed up when he said he would. Plus the price of the car was very reasonable and my trade in value was fair.The auto detailing did leave something to be desired. Windows had marks on the inside and there were two spots on the seats. I will bring this up when I bring the car in for the remote start.You have an excellent organization and I applaud all of the people I interacted with. I had an emergency situation with my '97 Ford Explorer. I was in Newark helping my daughter move but I am from Gettysburg, PA and needed to get home. My vehicle was leaking engine coolant badly and I was afraid to drive back to PA. I arrived at 8:00 am on Saturday at the dealership without an appointment. My vehicle was evaluated and by 9:00 I was told that I would need a radiator hose and a new radiator. The radiator had to be gotten elsewhere but all the work was done and I was on my way home by 12:30 pm! I had a very comfortable wait in the waiting area with hot tea and coffee, the TV, magazines, and newspaper all available. I was offered a ride somewhere but I chose to just wait in the waiting area. I was very pleased with the service and professionalism of everyone that I dealt with. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating.

Staff was very friendly, courteous, and respectful. Only problem is i am having a problem with my back sensor on my hatch/rear door of the 2013 Ford Escape. I have asked to have the problem evaluated twice, on two seperate visits, with no avail. They are not able to replicate the problem, but i clearly have the issue sporadically over and over. There doesn't seem to be anything blocking the closure latch, but i receive a sensor notification on my panel that the hatch is not closed. A few days ago i had to get out of the car and close it three times before the sensor went off. This is a problem i have had with the vehicle since i bought it, and would like to have this resolved.

As always, Lorenzo was a delight to deal with despite the fact that he was clearly very busy. He was polite and attentive. He acknowledged that I was waiting, apologized and got to me as soon as he finished the work he was doing. My only issue was the tech turned my headlights off (I had them set on auto) and did not return the setting. Considering how quickly it was done, it was still great. Thanks Porter Service!

Got me in and out fast. Originally quoted me :45 - 1 hr to do recall repair.I had to get to a re-scheduled medical apt a mile (+?) away :45 min later. Had intended to walk, but with health problems in the bad weather that day (schools opened 2 hrs late) I never would have been able to endure the trip. Was done in :25 so was even able to get gas along way to make NECESSARY appointment.I am also satisfied with friendly service past received in this professional, clean facility.

Serviced a recall for my Escape. That repair went excellent but I think between my online appointment and speaking with John at the service desk, it got lost that I wanted an oil change at the same time. It seems that when you ask for services online, I need to list everything again when I check in even if the phone call to confirm mentions everything.

The exact Escape that I wanted was not available at any of the local Ford dealerships. Porter Ford factory ordered the car for me in mid-October. I had hoped to receive it by the end of November or beginning of December. I got the call from Porter on 30 December almost a month late but exactly what I was looking for.

All was good. I would like to see more detail on the receipt, so I can keep track of the services performed. It just says 30,000 mile service, air cleaner service and radiator flush, but I thought they did a transmission service also. I will be back, Abe was very helpful and professional. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. Nice having a warm comfortable waiting room with free coffee, bottled water and clean rest rooms!

I had my son-in-law do the negotiating for me since he is very knowledgable about buying/selling cars. He knew I wanted a Ford Escape with back up camera and heated seats. I test drove it and loved the ability to set my seat height and lock it in on a keypad. The visibility was even better than on the 2010 Escape I was trading in. This is very important to me since I am less than 5 feet tall. The price he negotiated was very good with my 2010 as trade in. The salesman was very helpful, showing me the different aspects of the car and going out of his way to make sure everything met my needs and expectations. While I waited for the business office to be available, he even contacted my insurance company by phone and had my insurance transferred immediately. My father, who has been deceased for 30 years, used to come to visit us in Delaware and started buying his cars when it was just Porter Chevrolet because the price and customer service was outstanding. This is not my first purchase at Porter either. We bought a Hyundai which we kept for 10 years there.

I still think the waiting area is pretty horrible. Every 10 mins or so some device was blasting "one head light" by the Wallflowers. A few people in the waiting area commented on how annoying it was. It would be nice if they offered complimentary bottle of water. Even if you had to ask for it or they kept it behind a counter and gave it to you when you said you were staying.

The oil change service was fine, no problem but the service report didn't mention any about a bad engine the mist. A couple of past oil changes the reports indicated I needed new brakes including parker brake. Every oil change I would get a service report prior to the report that I needed new brakes everything was okay. So within 3,000 miles my brakes went from okay to complete rebuild including new rotors. If the inspections were performed every oil change the inspections should had noticed the thickness of the brake pads so the brake job should had been done sooner so that I needed new rotors. I took my car to S&K on route 72 and they did my brakes. The rear disk didn't need replaced, nor did the parking brake system. The parking brake system, the pads were out of alignment no need for replacement. They also cleaned my throttle plate for me, the cost was 89 cents verses your price of $89. I don't know if I can trust your inspection reports and service fees. The mist will be taken care by S&K by cleaning the throttle plate. I wanted you to notice the engine mist in your report but it wasn't included. What do you have to say?
