So far we love these guys! Haven't closed the deal, but hope to tomorrow. We weren't there 5 minutes and we could feel the difference. Dave Carey is a very personable guy as were all the guys we had contact with including the owner. It's been my experience most of the time that the big auto dealers have nothing to offer unless you're buying a new car. Got a second reminder of that today. Even then you're better off not looking for a fair trade in if your trade has any age on it whatsoever.

I recently bought a 2013 edge from here I was told it just had rust that had to be touched up and I was fine with that and also the brakes and rotors had to be replaced which I knew about before leaving their parking lot but never did imagine I would have to take the transmission out to fix a problem that had just been doctored up and that my ac compressor would catch fire while I was driving so after all was said and done I paid 11,000 for a vehicle that basically should not have even been sold and now I am stuck trying to do all the repairs . They came highly recommended from someone I really have trust in so I thought ok yea I will go here but never will I again because even though I should be offered another vehicle in replacement I have not even bothered to call this is why I said I would never go through a dealership and yet I went against my better judgment I should have listened to my gut

Almost two years to the day I purchased from Progressive a 2009 Subaru Forester with 86k miles on it, right away it was evident that the brakes were shot and needed work. Part of the sale included new brakes, Progressive agreed, the sale was made. I left the vehicle with them while they made the repairs, and upon picking the car up the next day, it was apparent that the brakes were still in bad shape, dangerously so. I brought the car back, pointed out the issue and they took it again for a number of days to replace / repair the brakes. Upon picking the car up, a second time, in the time it took me to go from the dealership to downtown Saint Albans, the brakes failed catastrophically while braking for traffic - I was lucky to be able to swerve off the road and downshift / e-brake to a stop. I had them come and take the car and again “repair” the brakes they had already said had been repaired. After returning the car to me, with a begrudging attitude, the brakes still did not feel right and only after a 3rd party full brake replacement out of pocket, did the brakes finally work correctly. That was two years ago, since then I've only put around 6k miles on the car - using it as a second vehicle for around town uses. Upon recent inspection I've been told the car can not be inspected as there is substantive frame rot that has likely been long standing. I now have a two year old used Subaru that ran for all of 6k miles, that is worthless. On top of that the mechanics that looked at the car informed me that if they had to guess, this car had been under water at some point and somewhere along the line someone lied about something. News to me. Upon speaking to Progressive again, asking what they could do given the history of dealings with them and the likelihood that they sold me a lemon. I suggested a fair trade-in, and a discount on a replacement vehicle - they merely offered a quick 1k to take it off my hands and offered me a replacement car with no discount. It’s worth noting in the time they were looking at my Subaru, I tested three other vehicles, two of which would not pass inspection if they were sold according to a mechanic. Given their inability to own up to, or attempt a reasonable reconciliation - I feel compelled to write this review. Not the kind of used car dealership who stands behind their product. Buyer beware.

I inquired on two separate vehicles. I even called on two separate days and left my name/number both times. NOBODY called me back. They lost me as a customer before then had me. If the cars I inquired about had been sold, fine, TELL ME! Don't blow me off! POOR, POOR, POOR customer service

My fiance and I saw a car that we liked a few months ago and asked one of the sales reps if we could test drive it. Whoever it was at the counter, his first words were "we need to do a credit check on you first" and he said we were only allowed to look at the car. When we were looking at the car more in depth, the salesman did not attempt to talk to us whatsoever. Very unprofessional and did not give us the time of day. We ended up taking our business elsewhere to a dealership in Burlington.

I wrote the previous review about the pacifica and can not delete it so im writing another one to say they have redeemed themselves in my book. they are taking another look at it and are working hard to make sure we are satisfied with our car. thank you so much progressive for being a wonderful dealership who stands behind what they say. Sorry about the previous post again.

We went looking for a car to seat our growing family. We test drove a pacifica. We loved the car so we bought it. Within the first 2 days we found out that it needed repairs. new tie rods, brake/rotors were shot and the check engine light came on. We went back to the dealer and alls they will fix is the tie rods. We asked the mechanic to look at everything and when we called he said that they only wanted him to fix the tie rods and wouldn't let him even look at the other problems. Since when do you tell a customer that you will not even look at the problem. We asked what the problems were and if the car was safe when we bought it and the salesman said everything was good and he would never sell us a unsafe car. Seems to me that they lie and don't truly stand by what you say.

We found a low mileage Toyota Yaris on Cars.com at Progressive Auto. It's a good 90 miles from our house but it was worth the drive. The sales people were professional no 'used car salesman' vibe and their building had just been remodeled.
