Recently leased a brand new Honda Civic sport. I dealt with Tiffany Ross. She was very transparent and personable to work with. Was a great experience because of her. The check in was smooth. I was waiting for a fairly long service. I was told how long. Totally accurate. I had a coupon and a discount on my phone. The greater savings was applied. Perfect experience. Buying a car without good service is the worst. Rensselaer Honda has been great.

The vehicle lost electric power unexpectedly. Diagnostic analysis failed to identify the source of the problem. The problem could not be replicated at the dealer. Kathy did discover the vehicle needed a NYS Inspection which was completed timely,

I hate to write this review and hate to leave them poor rating, I wish I did not have to do it.Have to revisit dealership after 3 days of buying car because both rear tire went low on air, front headlight bulb went out, car was not fixed/cleaned for minor scratches and visible stain (most dealer does that before delivering vehicle to customer). Front tires were replaced (THANK) but rear were not and are in very rough shape even though they passed the inspection (which was the argument of sale person but in nice way). Try to show to Sales manager and offered them to even meet half way if they willing to change the tire because they are in rough shape and will not pass next inspection for sure and possibly need to be replaced after 6 months or so (total cost was less than $350), he was very rude and walked away saying he is not doing it. He could of said this in nice way like "I am sorry but I cannot do it or there is not enough room for me to do it or the best I can offer $50/100", however at least service department put air in rear tires (dont know it will stay or not) and replaced the bulb for me.My overall sale experience was good except for what I stated above. Will recommend dealership with above warnings.

I looked online to find a certified used car.In a very short time i recieved a courtesy call from one of the people to let me know that the car was still on the lot. When i arrived there where no pushy sales people Phil Rasile helped me get in an awesome vehicle and kept going he could read that i just wasn't happy with what we looked at. He went way above and beyond , His mannerism when we hit a few bumps, by no fault of his he just sailed through it . I didn't have to feel embarrassed. This was a purchase i am very happy with. There was a problem with the car and they were pleased to fix it and i didn't pay a cent out of my pocket. I didnt think things like this happened any more. When making the appointment, I was told the time it would take to perform the service and how much it would cost. The waiting area was clean and had access to free coffee/tea and water. There were machines that offered drinks and snacks. Another issue was found while working on the vehicle and a Service Rep came out and let me know the problem and estimated the time it would take to repair it (parts were under warranty so there was no additional cost). I was very comfortable in the waiting area.

I purchased my Honda Pilot from Rensselaer Honda in 2007. I have always had my SUV serviced there, and trust their work. I have dealt with all of the service reps, but prefer to deal with Kathy who I find to be very easy to work with, trusting, and knowledgeable. The vehicle is now 9 years old, and I could go anywhere to have it serviced, but still prefer to work with Kathy and Rensselaer Honda, mainly because of the relationship & trust I have built with her.

Needed an inspection, oil change and possible brake replacement. Originally told there was no availability until Monday, 6/6....since I didn't feel comfortable driving car with the condition of the brakes, my husband and I drove over on Memorial day evening and left the car for whenever someone could get to it....to our surprise we were able to pick it up by lunchtime on Tuesday, 5/31....thank you for a wonderful experience.

I noticed a fluid leak in the right rear of my 2011 Honda Pilot. The service department was able to get me in within two days. I was in and out of the service in less than three hours and the repair cost was much less than I expected and the leak is no more it turned out to be a bad shock.

I went to have my car inspected, oil changed and winter tires removed and all seasons put back on. Very professional and personal service while I was there! Another plus of Rennselaer Honda is they will store your winter tires for free. No other dealer around offers that service!

I came to have my tires changed from winter to summer...the existing tires were wearing unevenly and through the suggestions of the woman at the front desk, I opted to have new tires put and have all of them balanced and alignment checked. It was wisdom to have that done because things were really off and all things were adjusted and new tires put on. I trust the folks and I believe I had the best care for my car.

Six weeks ago I was due for a 160,000 mile checkup but had to be away to help sister through a health crisis. While away the timing belt on the car broken and blew two values. I decided to replace the motor on the advice of my nephew who owes a heavy equipment dealership. I needed to have a NYS inspection done in May so I scheduled an appointment. The service agent worked with me to do an amended 160,000 mile checkup and NYS inspection. All systems not worked on when the motor was replaced were checked and fluids and filters replaced plus he gave me 10% off since I had a discount coupon for the original service that was schedule. The car is running like a dream and I was treated with concern, respect and was charged a reasonable cost. I have always been so very pleased with this dealership. Once I can afford to purchase another car it will definitely be a Honda, no doubt about it!

Dropped car off for electric door issue. 1st day, they can't find the issue and need it the next day. Not happy but OK, I call the second day, not them....can't find the issue, so come get your car and schedule another appointment. Come to find out they worked on it 1 hour and moved on to other appointments. Bad communication and service. The manager needs to be replaced, he was not in command of the facts, stating to me, I told them I wanted the car back which was not true and confirmed by his staff. This place has lost site of the meaning of service. Stay away

I stopped by Rensselaer Honda looking to buy a used Honda CR-V. I found one I liked and their sales representative Audrey was very kind. I live about an hour away and so does my mechanic. When I asked them if my mechanic could inspect the car, their sales manager Joe said that that wasn't an option because he was too far away. When asked if I could have assurance that I could reverse the sale, they gave me a song and dance about having title trouble, which is a lie and borders on consumer fraud. They flatly wouldn't let me inspect the vehicle with a mechanic of my choosing, and this shows them to either be dishonest, incompetent, or unsure of the quality of their service department. In any of those cases I refuse to buy from them. Both Mohawk Honda and Lia Honda said they are willing to let me take a car to my mechanic for inspection with a deposit and an employee escort. I would stay away from Rensselaer Honda unless you like to gamble on the quality of your purchase.

This will be my third Honda purchased and that's why I always come back. I was "thinking" about trading in my 2008 Honda Element. My husband and I cruised the lot looking at cars and decided to go into dealership. I came in with specific conditions and was committed to not going over my budget. I recently retired and was on a strict budget. My sales agent, Phil Rasile listened and went right to work. Went for a test drive and bought the car. A black CRV with leather seats, sun roof brand new looking inside and out. Great price and extras like 3 free oil changes and inspections plus a $250 Target card. I purchased a 2013 Acura MDX a little over a week ago (43K miles). I had been doing research for a couple of months...already test drove similar vehicles, knew exactly what I was looking for. I saw the vehicle I wanted online at Rensselaer Honda. I immediately contacted the online sales person, exchanged a few emails, and text messages, went in that Saturday morning for a test drive. I was a very easy sell to say the least! Our salesman was fairly new...but nice! It was a cold morning...and the test drive route is very short, on all back roads (nothing over 45MPH). We had the heater fan blowing full blast, so couldn't hear any abnormal noises coming from the vehicle. I made the purchase and picked the vehicle up later that day. As I drove it for 2.5 days I noticed multiple things that sounded/felt weird. A vibration in the steering column when turning, an issue with the RPM's between 1-2K, a dragging noise from the brakes (although I was told the brakes were brand new), also a few chips in the paint, which I didn't notice until later that evening (once the frost was off the vehicle). I made an appointment brought the vehicle in...I was given a rental car (Only good thing that came from this experience). They had my car for 2 days...trying to get a hold of them, was terrible, emailed the service adviser Blake, and he never returned my emails. He called me ONCE, one time to tell me the status of the vehicle....which was, NOTHING WAS WRONG!!! Although I've done tons of research, and these vehicles are infamous for torque converter and transmission issues....they refused to give me a print out of the vehicles data showing that the TC was operating properly. They told me the vibration in the steering column was "operating as designed"....and they never even addressed the fact that the vehicle had damage to the front driver bumper. I spoke with 3 different Honda AND Acura dealers.....they say that these issues do not sound "normal"! The customer service I received was TERRIBLE, awful....I wouldn't take my scooter to this placed to be fixed! Not to mention, my salesman, Ryan....I thought was so nice, riiiiight! I would text him asking questions and letting him know of the issues....I got one line responses....and when I told him how unhappy I was he NEVER RESPONDED!!!! Haven't heard from him since! I emailed the GM, and a sales manager letting them know of my experience....and still almost a week later I have not heard a peep from anyone!!!! I'm not asking for much....just acknowledge the terrible experience I had, that's all! So I am doing as any unhappy customer is...I'm telling EVERYONE I can about the awful experience with this dealership. I purchased a 2013 Acura MDX a little over a week ago (43K miles). I had been doing research for a couple of months...already test drove similar vehicles, knew exactly what I was looking for. I saw the vehicle I wanted online at Rensselaer Honda. I immediately contacted the online sales person, exchanged a few emails, and text messages, went in that Saturday morning for a test drive. I was a very easy sell to say the least! Our salesman was fairly new...but nice! It was a cold morning...and the test drive route is very short, on all back roads (nothing over 45MPH). We had the heater fan blowing full blast, so couldn't hear any abnormal noises coming from the vehicle. I made the purchase and picked the vehicle up later that day. As I drove it for 2.5 days I noticed multiple things that sounded/felt weird. A vibration in the steering column when turning, an issue with the RPM's between 1-2K, a dragging noise from the brakes (although I was told the brakes were brand new), also a few chips in the paint, which I didn't notice until later that evening (once the frost was off the vehicle). I made an appointment brought the vehicle in...I was given a rental car (Only good thing that came from this experience). They had my car for 2 days...trying to get a hold of them, was terrible, emailed the service adviser Blake, and he never returned my emails. He called me ONCE, one time to tell me the status of the vehicle....which was, NOTHING WAS WRONG!!! Although I've done tons of research, and these vehicles are infamous for torque converter and transmission issues....they refused to give me a print out of the vehicles data showing that the TC was operating properly. They told me the vibration in the steering column was "operating as designed"....and they never even addressed the fact that the vehicle had damage to the front driver bumper. I spoke with 3 different Honda AND Acura dealers.....they say that these issues do not sound "normal"! The customer service I received was TERRIBLE, awful....I wouldn't take my scooter to this placed to be fixed! Not to mention, my salesman, Ryan....I thought was so nice, riiiiight! I would text him asking questions and letting him know of the issues....I got one line responses....and when I told him how unhappy I was he NEVER RESPONDED!!!! Haven't heard from him since! I emailed the GM, and a sales manager letting them know of my experience....and still almost a week later I have not heard a peep from anyone!!!! I'm not asking for much....just acknowledge the terrible experience I had, that's all! So I am doing as any unhappy customer is...I'm telling EVERYONE I can about the awful experience with this dealership. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE....and especially DO NOT GO THERE FOR VEHICLE SERVICE!

My son is taking the car back to college and I wanted the new brakes put on along with a 100,000 mile service. They told me I would need to leave if for the day. It took more than a day, they never replaced the brakes as I had requested and when I went to pick my car up there was substantial damage to the front quarter panel and bumper. The car had been either driven into something or hit while in their lot. The service manager came out and walk around the car talking about all the other dings and then told me I had no proof and should just inform my insurance company. They refused to deal with this. The car was in their care. I dropped it off in the service garage where they take your information and the keys, they had control of the car and kept it in back and moved it into the shop where it would have been repaired and no customers drive back there. The outrage is just too much. Boycott these folks. There other Honda dealers in the area.

I looked at a Civic because my son has a Honda and insisted it was a great car and I would love it. I chose Rensselaer Honda because my daughter told me their customer satisfaction rating was 4.9 out of 5, better than the competition. What I wanted was a dependable car that could handle my 20-mile daily commute, and stay within my budget. Phil Rasile, my sales associate at Rensselaer Honda, managed to make everyone happy. I love my 2015 Honda Civic. It's as comfortable and gas-efficient as my son promised, and it drives like a dream, like Phil promised. He was such a pleasure to deal with, especially after the previous 2-weeks of fast-talking, skeezy car dealers. As a woman, I felt other car dealers saw me as an easy mark and tried to get me into any car, just to make the deal. Phil, on the other hand, listened when I told him what I was looking for and more important, what I could afford. He was friendly, low-key, and very patient, taking the time to explain all my different financing options. Then he made sure my new Civic and I were a good fit driving-wise and cost-wise. (He even pulled strings to get the car prepped so I could have it before the dealership closed that day.) I'm another happy customer who is giving Rensselaer Honda a 5-star satisfaction rating. In fact, I've been telling all my friends, "When you start looking at cars, start at Rensselaer Honda. And be sure to ask for Phil!"

I purchased my Accord in June, 2013. The salesman didn't have to work too hard...he and I knew the sale was going to happen. I walked out feeling that it was a fair deal and looked forward to delivery day. That's when the deceit began. I was given 1 key fob and 1 valet key. When I questioned the salesman I was told that this was protocol. I was stupid to fall for this obvious lie. He had assured me that the valet key was just as useful as the fob. Not! My first trip to the service department was sooner than it should have been. The passenger seat air bag light began displaying for no apparent reason. Al, in the service department told me it was probably because " we weren't sitting correctly" in the seat! Really? Reluctantly, I brought the car in a few days later to have the problem rectified. I was called the morning after I dropped off the car by a very disgruntled and rude, Al, the same man who accused us of not sitting the correct way in the passenger seat. He stated that I left the wrong key, and the car could not be moved, and that I had to bring the correct key to him immediately. You guessed it...I had left the valet key and unbeknownst to me, this key would not work! Needless to say, I insisted that I was given a second fob when I picked up the car. I was given one but my valet key was not returned. Upon completion of service I was told nothing was wrong with airbag and it was a simple display error. Two weeks later, I was back for the same problem and a different service person actually found the problem and fixed it. Amazing. In an attempt to shorten my story I will summarize. Each time I have brought this car in for scheduled maintenance or a specific issue, I have had to bring it back within a week to have something else fixed. They either didn't follow my directives or were totally inept. My car is 2 years old, with less than 8,500 miles and it has required more service than my previously owned 10 year old Camry. I am so dissatisfied with this place that I intend to trade this car in at another Honda or Toyota dealer.I have written a letter to the owner of Rensselaer Honda and am going to contact the Honda corporation about this dealership. I will let you know what happens. My recommendation is to find another dealership in the area if you want to purchase a car. Don't let them deceive you like they did me.

What a great experience we had purchasing a new 2015 Honda Fit. Mark Wilde was very helpful and at no time was there ever pressure put on us. We test drove the car and when it can to putting the deal together Mark made it very easy.

I went in to get a 2012 civic si i had seen driving past the dealership. This is the car i always wanted so i figure why not and when it really came down to it the guys at the dealership really pulled for me they knew how much i wanted the car and somehow i ended up on top . i really felt like i knew the guys forever and had just met them . The guys were professional and respectful. even when i called 100 times a day my sales man zach esposito would answer happy as could Be and ready to help. I would highly recommend this dealership and especally zach he really helped get me into this awesome car and change my life

Differential oil costs under $10 if bought direct from the Parts department. You'll find it for $50 on your service bill. These folks like to boast how they're different from the rest but succumb to the same crooked schemes. Not recommended.

This is the second time I have a purchased a car from Rensselaer Honda. My sales person (Phil) was great, no pressure. He answered all of my questions and got me a great deal. The people in the service department are awesome, super friendly and always go above and beyond. I'm very happy being a Rensselaer Honda customer, they always take great care of me. I can't see myself going anywhere else.

Dino was the most honest sales man I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I had a great experience with Dino and I would buy another car from him. This is the only dealership where I did not wait a long time and where I was not getting ripped off. I appreciate Rensselaer Honda's integrity and humbleness. I would recommend going there to buy a car. Even if you have to travel, it is worth the drive.

I found something in my right front tire when I arrived at work, turns out it was a screw. I called and spoke to Mike Williams (who sold me the Pilot) who in turn had me speak to Finance about the extra service coverage I purchased at the time I purchased my Pilot. Turns out I had Tire and Rim coverage. I was told to bring the Pilot right in and I would be taken care of. I drove to the dealership and drove right into the service area. Blake took care of me immediately. In addition to my tire being replaced, my tire pressure and all fluids were also checked. Best of all I walked out with a new tire, not a dime out of my pocket and feeling that my car had been well taken care of. While it may have added a little more into my payment each month, it was well worth it to purchase that Tire coverage and today proves it. Thank you, Mike Williams, Finance and Blake for taking care of me and my Pilot.

Waiting time is within reason and waiting room is always clean and well stocked with magazines and newspapers. Hot coffee and tea is also available. I recommend this dealership for all your needs. I will start by saying that Somer was very friendly and very helpful. She's not the reason we left completely dis-satisfied. We went to Rensselaer Honda to begin with because I knew I wanted a particular Honda vehicle, and we were interested in purchasing there because of the Humane Society donation they provide. We were also thinking of trading in my old car. We'd gotten trade-in values from other dealers, so we knew what the ballpark was.Somer was working up numbers for our purchase, and said that our old car would have to be examined by a man who examines all of the trade-in cars and gives them a value. We could see him (as well as 3 salesmen, who were "bored" and wandered over to "help") through the windows in the dealership - he opened the driver's door, wrote some stuff on a clipboard, *may* have started the engine (we couldn't tell that from inside), then came back in. Please note here that he did *NOT* open the hood and check the engine in any way. When Somer came back to her desk, she told us that the man had determined that my car had a blown head gasket, and we should think about trading it in. They made this determination, apparently, based on a "funny smell" that they claimed came from my car. They didn't mention the fact that I was parked next to an older model car, that looked like it had some serious issues. Somer ran numbers for us (and, admittedly, put a heck of a deal together), but we said we weren't going to buy on the fly, and we'd get back to her.We left feeling very uneasy with the whole experience - my husband knows a bit about cars, and this seemed very fishy to him. My father is a mechanic in another state, so I called him for advice. He said there was no way for them to have determined that we had a blown head gasket by looking at the car, and by "smell". We were not able to smell anything, nor was there any obvious signs of burning coolant, so we were pretty sure this was a scam at worst, or incompetence at best. Our suspicions were confirmed when we took my car to a service garage - we told them the story, and asked them to look it over. They had the car for 2 days, checked all systems thoroughly, and found NO PROBLEMS with the car (as in - nothing was wrong, not the coolant, the exhaust, or ANYTHING).I'm not sure whether they were looking to scam us and push us towards a fast sale, or whether the man who looked at the car was a moron, but I'm glad that we left without purchasing. I can't in good conscience support a business that employs someone who is either out to scam, or is that bad at their job. Again, Somer was wonderful, but they need to look at hiring someone else to inspect trade-in cars. We purchased from another dealership, and will make a donation to the Humane Society on our own.

Purchased certified used car, after multiple trips to sevice pulled my own carfax and found car was in major accident with airbag deployment. Although there advertising states they have a 100 percent buy back, I got like 80 percent, I took a 3000 bath on a car I owned for less than 2 months because they lied to me about the car being accident free. The gm told me he would fight with carfax to get my money, but when I found out they already resold the car again CERTIFIED I tried calling him, he told me to " do what I have to do" nice response. So here I am, hardball is one of my favorite games, and I am an allstar

Bought a certified used car here only to learn weeks later it was involved in a major accident. Was told the car was accident free. So when I brought it back to the dealer they did not honor the 100% buy back and gave me 3000 less than I paid for it, weeks before. Now the general manager won't take my calls because I gave them a low score on a survey. Be very cautious when dealing with them.

First of all I have not been able to drive for 2 years due to various illnesses--My son searched various dealerships and returned to the First-He brought the info to me and suggested I consider Rensslear Honda--to make a long story short I have always had sport cars-We went to the Dealership and was met by the frendliest of salesmen--Aaron Minnick who not only took a long time to go over all the benefits of the Fit--for my needs now--as my son had suggested--I was able to look at other models and advantages or disadvantages due to my physical needs--then when I decided in fact this was the model I wanted--mainly due to the convenience of the Hatchback and the large trunk and even tho it kind of looked small on the outside it was more than roomy inside and the fold down back seat was definately an advantage-it was a slam dunk---everthing was completed-even arrangements with the Insurance company that I had used in the past--Never once did I feel pressured or that Aaron had other things to do--So in case you have such a thing as salesman of the month or year -I would certainly hope that Aaron's professionalism is recognized--you are one lucky dealership to have him---Thank you---Mary Kucera

Excellent service from both Jim Cronin and Glen Babineau. Found exactly what I wanted at a fair price. 2013 CRV EX L is perfect! Jim explained that a 2013 is a better value than a certified used because there isn't a great price difference and the 2013 have improved features. I agree. Glen explained all the finance options and reviewed them with me. Both men are great to work with. They really helped me find exactly what I wanted. Check this dealer and compare them to others in the area.You will return to this dealership!

Bought a brand new pilot and it was a great experience. The sales rep did not pressure us and made us feel comfortable with our decision. They were really willing to work with s to ensure that we got all of our questions answered and for the right price. Most impressive was the attention we received fir our first oilcloth change. The ore sake work is easy, but I have become a believer in Rensselaer Honda due to my post sale experience.

I had an excellent experience dealing with Anna Puzier for the purchase of my new Honda Civic on 9/21/12. She came highly recommended by both of my parents, each of whom purchased new cars from her in December 2012. Jim Cronin was terrific. My wife and I came from Cortland, NY (2.5 hours away) to work with Jim and to take advantage of his internet quote. He was trustworthy and respectful of our decisions. Anna Puzier made my new car buying experience painless. This was the first time I had researched and purchased a car on my own. She was not pushy at all but extremely knowledgeable about the CR-V that I eventually purchased. She was able to give me the lowest price around without the hassle of going back and forth. E-mails were responded to very quickly, even on her days off. Very personable, friendly, articulate, easy to talk to, and not intimidating. It was a very positive and relaxed experience for me dealing with a female salesperson (in fact, my first and only female salesperson I had encountered). I have already recommended her to a friend.

Anna made the whole car buying experience a pleasure. Knowledgeable, articulate in communicating information, responsive, and a good listener who doesn't underestimate the intelligence of her customer. Even the negotiation, the part I always dread, was pain free, with minimal back and forth. I got a great car at a very fair price. My sense in interacting with others at this dealership is that this is representative of the entire team at Rensselaer Honda, where they seem to recognize you don't need to "hard sell" to make a sale. Jeremy sold my husband and me a brand new CRV. In fact, this was our first Honda experince. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase! Jeremy was very friendly and informative. We have 2 children - Jeremy showed genuine appreciation for the things we were looking for in a family car, including our budget. Jeremy did a great job of "selling" Honda without being pushy. One afternoon we had our two children with us while we were meeting with him. He was very friendly with our kids and gave them some cool car books to look at. Jeremy did a great job selling us our first Honda - I would recommend him to anyone. I have been to other dealers searching for a Honda CRV and they were less than helpful. Brad did everything he could to get me in the deal I wanted. He kept me in the loop with how the deal was going and delivered the car on time. He gave us a detail tour of everything the CRV could do. He also told us to call him (at work or on his cell phone) with any questions. He was an excellent salesman. I would tell anyone who was looking for a new Honda to go see Brad.

Anna was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to my emails and we emailed back and forth for a few days trying to nail down the vehicle and the framework of the deal. Not wanting to deal with the local dealer in my area, I was able to find Rensselaer based on this website's reviews. To show you how far I would go to stay away from the local Honda dealer, my last Odyssey was purchased from Ohio. Anyways, got in contact with Anna on a Wednesday I believe and the framework was in place by Friday, when I took the day off of work and drove down to Albany. I was looking at a brand new Odyssey and was going to trade in my 2006 Touring model. Anna and the one who evaluated the trade (can't remember his name :) were very upfront and honest with the value of the trade based on a couple of accidents and that very ugly elephant that sat in the back seat of those old Touring models (PAX TIRES!!!! Cue nightmarish scream!!). Anyways, we settled on a trade in value that allowed me to pay off the balance of the loan plus a little extra and when that was combined with the great price of the 2012 Odyssey, I drove away in a little under 2 1/2 hours with my new 2012 Odyssey - the coolest minivan on the planet. Anna was awesome to work with and the overall experience was great! We walked in with a general idea of what we needed, but wasn't sure whether we could buy, lease, or buy used. We were not planning to be there long, as we brought along our 2 year old daughter.Jeremy came right up to us and was so nice...we were there for nearly 3 hours. He let us test ride 2 models, putting the car seat in and out of both cars. He also listened patiently to our needs and worked with us on what we were willing to pay. He blew up balloons for our daughter and was so friendly with her. Other associates and employees were great also. It is not easy having a young child during these types of things, but everyone chatted with her and seemed to enjoy her presence. My husband and I had visited another local Honda dealership a week earlier without our daughter. We were the only ones there, and made to feel like we were being a nuisance and no one was willing to talk to us. I am glad though because we may not have visiting Rensselaer Honda. I highly recommend!

We are returning customers to Rensselaer Honda. This is our 4th Honda from them. Two of our previous salesmen are retired. The first time I stopped this time I wasjust admiring the 2012 CRV. We had purchased a new car about a year ago (Toyota) and wasn't happy with it but wasn't sure if we were in a position to trade it already. Jeremy Thurber came out to see if I needed assistance and answered alot of questions that I had and when I told him I was only beginning to think about making a change, he offered me his card and did not push me to move any further - that is huge in my book - he respected my position. After we returned from vacation about a month later I contacted him again and went to test drive it and then my husband test drove it a couple of days later. Again we told him we were going to talk and weigh our options and would get back to him. A couple of days later I called to meet him to see if we could make a deal. Without this style he has as a saleman, I probably wouldn't have called him back. We really liked his respect for where we were at and gave us the space and time to make our decision. Last but not least Al Yager in the service department has been my go-to guy for the last 8-10 years. He is the reason why we continue to go back to Rensselaer Honda and also go there exclusively for our service. Dan Clement, the Service Manager, has always been very helpful and attentive. But Al is a great person to deal with and a great up front face for the service department at Rensselaer Honda.

Besides the fantastic deals & the great service, my wife & I want to single out Jeremy Thurber.He & the remainder of the sales staff were VERY helpful to us. I am deaf, & my wife generally does the "hearing" for me. HOWEVER, at this dealership, Jeremy, once informed, made certain that he faced me at all times when speaking; spoke clearly so that I could utilize my lipreading skills, & made certain that all the other employees with whom we interacted were also informed & acted similarly! We were very pleased with that customer service because it is so RARE among hearing people!As a parting word, if a person wants a fantastic deal, has a disability & wants to be treated correctly, THIS dealership is the place to shop for a car - ask for Jeremy Thurber!

I asked for a quote over the internet and received one very quickly. This was followed up by a personal phone call from the salesman. The price quote was a nice reduction from the list price. The trade in I received was equal to the low end trade in range from my Edmunds online inquiry. In the past the trade in offered by other dealers has been well below the Edmund's estimate. The salesman was very knowledgable about the technical aspects of the car. He was accurate with every price quoted. I was going to pay cash, but the salesman informed me of a $500 savings if I financed. I took his suggestion. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Have to admit going to a car dealership always makes me a little uneasy but a friend suggested Rennselear Honda so i went. I was introduced to Mike Marquette and immediately i told him i did not want a hard sell like all the others i'd been to. Also, i told him i needed information to help me make the right choice, couldn't promise a sale. Mike was very congenial. He asked me what exactly i was looking for and went from there. He has so much knowledge about the car he sells and he can compare to other cars as well. He was awesome with numbers and could write down what i could afford comfortably. This guy is honest!!!! He took his time with me and acted like i was his only customer. He restored my faith in salespeople across the board. Do yourself a favor and take your business to Mike; he won't let you down.

I recently purchased a 2012 Honda Pilot from this dealership. Based on previous experiences with the dealership (4 previous new car purchases), I decided to inquire about another new car purchase. I utilized the internet sales route as I did on my 2010 Honda Fit purchase. As she was in 2010, my internet sales person was Anna Puzier. Anna offered me a fair price initially for the new car purchase and was very timely and informative in responding to my many questions. Anna was knowledgeable regarding the vehicle I was purchasing, as well as regarding trade in values. The entire transaction was completed online, with only one phone call to finalize the price and options. The day I picked up the Pilot was the first time I had visited the dealership during the entire purchase process. Upon visiting the dealership, Anna explained the many features of the Pilot and the entire process at the dealership was efficient but not rushed. Overall, a great experience from an established dealership and a knowledgeable sales person. I would definately recommend investigating this dealership for an auto purchase.

Second business dealing with Rensselaer Honda. Purchased a 2008 Element which I am still driving and am thoroughly pleased with- including Rensselaer's service. My wife and I recently parted ways with a 2007 Mercedes C280 4-matic which had the permanent check engine light. Fortunately we were able to unload it, but needed a replacement vehicle. We researched Subaru, Ford and Honda thoroughly, and settled on leasing the Accord EX-L. Our decision was solidified by dealing with Aaron Minnick. Upon arrival, he listened to what we were after, and presented two comparably equipped EX-L choices: one a Civic, the other the Accord. We had researched an expected lease payment term with residual value based on our credit rating. To our surprise, Aaron's initial offer (after the mandatory consultation with the Sales manager) was within just a few dollars of what we already considered a great deal. So we went home to double check our calculations and were satisfied they were dealing straight up with us. Three days later we were ready to pick up the Accord. Arron had everything ready, and spent time with us thoroughly reviewing several of the new tech features with us- especially synching the phones to the handsfree system. He treated us great- no pressure whatsoever.I honestly feel Rensselaer values a return customer. As long as they continue to treat us well and Honda continues to offer competitive vehicles they'll have us as repeat customers.

I felt that my salesman, Brad Cittadino, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and leasing, easy to work with and took the time to answer all my questions. I was also pleased to find that the vehicle I was interested in was in stock and on the lot. I left with the model, options and payment I wanted. But in addition to that, I also wanted to purchase local and to find a dealership I could continue to work with in the future. I feel that I have found that in Rensselaer Honda and Brad Ciitadino.

I have always dealt with a ford dealership since my mother works for one, and I can't say enough good things about dealing with Honda. I'm not one to shop around and I have a very busy schedule which makes car shopping difficult and this was truly the easiest time I have ever had buying a car from start to finish. We had been shopping for a new vehicle recently and visited several area dealerships. We didn't have a good experience at a couple of them and we went back to Rensselaer Honda. We had Jeremy Thurber for our sales person and we had a very good experience. Jeremy is very knowledgable about the cars we were interested in, he didn't put any kind of pressure on us, he made us feel very relaxed and at ease with our decisions. My husband Michael and I began our new car search on a snowy Saturday afternoon. The last stop of the day was at Rensselaer Honda and by very good luck, we were approached by Somer Wright. She was knowledgeable, friendly and very enthusiastic about the dealership and her job. You can tell that customer service is a priority with her. She followed up on Monday. We went to the dealership Monday afternoon for a second drive and we were pleased with what they offered us as far as price and financing. This is my first new car. We have owned one other Honda (used. I am pleased with the customer service and would recommend Somer to anyone looking for a quality used or new vehicle.

Jeremy is a pleasure to work with. We like his low-key style and how he listens attentively to our needs and interests. We never felt rushed as we took the time to compare CR-V models. Once we had decided on the EX-L, he reassured us, based on what we had told him, that we were making the best choice. While he had explained the options, he did not try to up-sell. Then he had the patience of Job as he watched my wife and I struggle over the color. He simply said, "Take your time, look at them all again, you will know your choice."When he delivered the car he took the time to go over every detail of the CR-Vs very cool dash board controls and blue tooth capability. He even set up our radio stations and synced our phone.This is the 7th Honda we purchased at Rensselaer Honda. We drive an hour to get to this dealership because of their professional, friendly and personal style of doing business. Looking back, this experience rates as one of the best. About 6 pr 7 years ago, we visited Rensselear Honda and had a bad purchasing experience so we were very hesitant to return. I have, however, always had my Honda's serviced at Rensselear Honda though due to the great customer serivce I have always received. Terry was very helpful and knowledgable, including after we had completed the sale. Whenever I had questions, he answered them directly and fairly. The test drive gave me an opportunity to try different types of driving. The fellow who reviewed the service plans, etc. was also very courteous and knowledgable. Jim gave me a fantastic deal on a 3-yr lease for a Honda Civic LX. I traded in my DX (which had virtually no bells & whistles) for this much improved model that has a ton of digital features -- FOR THE SAME MONTHLY RATE! He had a customer who wanted to buy the DX. I love my new car!

I called the dealership a week ago with a question of how much I would lose by trading in my newly purchased CRV for the more fuel efficient Insight. I figured I would be told that the trade in would be impossible due to me owning the CRV for only 6 months. Thankfully, Anna was able to give me a great deal for the trade in and I was able to drive off with the Insight just two days later. Being a younger buyer I was afraid of being taken advantage of but that has not been the case at this dealership. I have had everything explained to me from the financial end to operating the vehicle in the most efficient way. There has been no hassle,only friendly, helpful people to do business with.

I was in the market for a "not so used" used car and Aaron had mentioned the certified used car program through Honda. I decided to check some of the CRV's out first before going anywhere else. I test drove one briefly and before I knew it I was signing paperwork! Aaron had laid everything out on the test drive making me aware of all the features along with informing me how good the program was. With the great driving and the great service I had already made up my mind before we got back to the dealership! Every part of the deal went smooth with no issues or complaints. We have always preferred Honda because of their quality and durability, but have not always had good dealer experiences. This time we ventured out of our way to Rensselaer Honda and we are glad we did. The sales associate, Josh Johnson, listened to our needs and recommended several available models. When it came time to buy there was no high pressure and we felt we got a fair price. Our service visits have been pleasant and efficient. We would definitely go there for our next vehicle and recommend it to others.

I'd been thinking of getting a new vehicle and happened to stop at the Honda dealer near me. The salesman (Kerry Scanlon) was very personable, answered all of my questions, was NOT pushy. I really liked that Kerry was not "salesy" He didn't try to convince me that one model was better than another or convince me that some features were more important than others. He let ME lead the conversation. I asked him questions, he answered. I basically wanted to know what changes were made from the 2011 to the 2012. Once I knew that, the car sold itself. I never felt SOLD, only serviced. I love that. People love to buy, they HATE to be sold. They GET that at Rensselaer Honda. People LOVE their Honda C-RVs and now I am one of them. We are now a two C-RV family. We love the dealership and love the convenience since it is so near our home. Great service, friendly people, fair pricing. Not sure what else anyone could expect. I have to say that I am a repeat customer of Rensselaer Honda. The first time I bought a used 1997 Honda Accord there 3 yrs ago and I loved it. Even though it was a great car, I recently returned to trade it in and leased a 2012 Honda Civic. I worked with the same salesman, Mike Williams, both times, who couldn't be nicer and more laid back. I can't say enough about his friendly personality, his honesty, and helpfulness. He listened to me and helped me get a great deal on my trade in. Everyone at the dealership is friendly and you can tell they love their jobs and the Honda product. As soon as you walk in someone greets you with a smile. I have been to other dealerships and Rensselaer Honda truly does not feel like a business. The people there make you feel like you belong and can stay as long as you want. Everyone works together and are not pushy at all. Mike is an extremely patient person and took the time to discuss all my options. We walked around the lot comparing used cars before I decided on a lease. They have a great selection of reasonably priced vehicles. I couldn't be happier with Rensselaer Honda and intend to continue to work with them in the future. I tell all my friends about how satisfied I am with Mike and the dealership so that they can go there and have the same great experience I have had. Keep up the good work!

I bought a 2007 CRV at Rensselaer Honda. Even thought it would have lasted alot longer, I got a great deal on a 2011 CRV. Mark Rizzo was great to deal with. I shopped around for a Honda Pilot for a while, and when I worked with Josh I found a new reason to appreciate his role as a salesman. By no means was the negotiation easy, but Josh made it rewarding. At the end, I believe we both walked away with a great deal. I started my new car hunt in September 2010 and was accomidated very well with the 2010 honda civic. Brad was very patient with me and did not pressure me into purchasing anything i was not comforatable with, which is hard to find when it comes to car dealers. I made out great, they even took the time to travel to Kingston to get me my first choice in color! Sadly i then totalled my car just recently, but i was not at fault, and i went right back to Brad. I explained to him what happened, he had me come in and start the process all over again. Within days my new car, a 2012 honda civic, was in the lot just waiting for me to come pick it up! I love Honda's, excepially the Civic's, and will most likely own one forever and after all I've been through with Brad at Rensselar Honda I can trust that the service will be superb!

This is the second time that I purchased from Rensselaer Honda in the last 4 years. Both purchases were a pleasure. The staff was helpful and friendly. They sold their product without being aggressive, and seemed to really care about making the customer happy. And most importantly, their pricing was very competitive. They also offered a very fair price for my trade-in.We purchased another vehicle from a different local Honda dealer in between these two cars(LIA Honda) because LIA happened to be the only local dealer that had the car that I wanted. That was a very dissapointing experience, and I would never recommend them.
