I'm nearly 71 yrs. old. I've dealt with a lot of dealerships and used car lots in my years; many to my absolute frustration and dissatisfaction. Richard Bell Auto Sales in DeLand is perhaps one of the very best! Their Sales Manager, Margo, is terrific, pleasant, amazingly honest, and not at all high pressure sales type. I searched for close to 3 weeks on the internet for a good used 2004 to 2008 Mustang 6 cyl. convertible with low mileage; and, I found the perfect one at this used car lot. I traveled a couple of times from Winter Park, FL. to DeLand, and made the purchase right away. Margo was fantastic...outstandingly honest and straightforward. There was a problem with the brakes, and Margo and her great mechanic (Craig) totally stood behind making the necessary repairs (at their cost...I truly don't think they ended-up making much profit on this 2004 Mustang, after all the work was done). I simply cannot say enough good things about this family owned dealership. Saw this big old beast (04 Ford Excursion 4 wheel drive) while driving by the lot, called from my cell phone and within a few minutes got a call back from the owner. All of my questions were answered and arrangements were made for a test drive the next day. Upon arrival we were met by the lot guy and within five minutes the owner arrived from their main lot with the keys and a 5 gallon can of gas (it was on empty). We discussed the vehicle and price which was about 70% of blue book and we were on our way and I was ready to purchase upon return to the lot. I got a very clean 2004 Ford Expedition with the Triton V-10, 4 wheel drive, full power and excellent leather interior for $4600.00. This whole transaction took place on New Years Eve and I started 2015 with a real truck. Will I recommend these folks? absolutely. Will I purchase another vehicle from them? You bet.

I sent two requests for information on two different cars of the same make and model (different years). When someone called back and I asked about the specific cars I was interested in the person I was talking to seemed like he had no idea which ones I was interested in. Started talking about another two cars that were the same make and model but not the ones I wanted to know about. I'd think that when following up on a request for information the person calling back should at least know which cars I was interested in and be familiar enough with them to be able to answer questions like "What is the mileage?" and "Is it a manual or automatic?"

Although I didn't end up buying a car from them, their sales staff was very attentive, personable, and approachable. They have a very nice and wide selection of vehicles to choose from.

It was great to do business with a family business. We bought a used Jeep Wrangler. Love the Jeep and we have had no problems with it. We drove about two hours to look at it, and there were no "surprises" - it was just as described. Charles was easy to work with, and we loved it when he had to ask his mom if they could take a credit card or check. :) Be advised they do greatly prefer debit cards or cash if you aren't financing, which, all things considered is understandable. Charles even took us off-road to check out the 4WD, and was able to provide some info on the history of the vehicle. We didn't ask for a carfax and not sure if they offer it, but we did spend $10 to run a check similar to carfax....probably a good idea when buying any used car. I drove the Jeep two hours to home the same day, and have driven it regularly since with no problems whatsoever. The used car shop is not the most modern facility, but it's functional. And it probably serves to keep the overhead/prices down. We were really impressed with the variety of cars on the lot, from old muscle cars and beetles to late models. And the prices for most of them seemed pretty reasonable. Don't expect alot of movement of the prices, but they are priced fairly to begin with. We have looked at similar Jeeps and could easily have paid much more for less. Overall a great experience and we highly recommend this dealer.

I was looking for a car for my daughter. She was very picky and undecided. Their sales guy Charles was very good in helping us decide what was best and did so without being the typical pushy sales guy. Will definitely buy again from this place! In fact I have already sent a couple of family members there who both bought a car and had a great experience!

I recently purchased a really nice honda civic from this place. The staff was very nice and friendly and did not rush me. They didnt try to overcharge me with dealer fees and crap. The car was very clean and it is perfect! I would definitely recommended this little place to others shopping for a used car.
