I previously owned a used Ford Focus back in the day, and the company brings back good memories because my late cousin's detail shop Finishing Touch use to detail their used vehicles. I purchased by first new vehicle from Rivertown Ford. My overall experience was great from listening to my needs/wants in a vehicle, test drive, demonstration of the vehicle features, buying process, and follow up calls to make sure everything was going okay. If you want a great overall experience, get Steve Moore as your Salesman.

Tried to buy a 2014 Ford pick-up and they wanted 2016 price for a two year old truck. I will probably go to another dealer to buy my next vehicle this year. They keep you waiting and then come up with far out there prices but it is what it is.

I purchased a new F-150 truck from Rivertown Ford on Nov. 21. Buying a vehicle is usually not a pleasant experience however Rivertown did a great job. The salesman was informative and was doing his job trying to sell me the vehicle but without being too pushy. Negotiations were fast and smooth. I then entered the waiting line for the finance person, they were busy so l had to wait awhile but the waiting area was comfortable and had a big screen TV. They kept checking on me and offered beverages. While waiting on finance the new car delivery person, Gayle, took me through the process. She did some paperwork, explained the features of the truck and set me up for future service. She did a great job delivering the vehicle. Finally finance was ready. It went guickly. He was very nice even though I declined all the extras he tried to sell me. Then Gayle and the salesman helped me move my stuff from my traded vehicle to my new vehicle.Everyone involved in this process could not have been more friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and wanting to help me.

The purchasing process at Rivertown Ford was as seamless and customer oriented as any I have been through. The sales person was organized and had the power to make a deal without having to go to a manager. He kept the process flowing without interruption and I was out in the shortest amount of time. He even called me later in the afternoon to make certain that there were no problems with the trip.

Had a service appointment at 1030 bc the defrost and passenger vents only blew cold air. Was told it would take a couple of hours. At 1230 I was told that my vehicle hadn't even been looked at and that the "guys" were at lunch. Every experience I've had with this service department has been terrible.

Came to Rivertown Ford to look for a vehicle and was discouraged because I had got off work and went over to Rivertown Toyota and told them that I was looking for Ms. Vonda, well they told me that she no longer worked there. I then explained to them that my mother had just left the dealership and told me to come up her and ask for her. Once I explained that to them, I was then told that she left Toyota to go and sale cars at Ford and that she was across the street. Way to go Ms. Vonda the way the act when I came over there and asked for you, you did the right thing!!! When I arrived into the dealership they called Ms. Vonda and told her that she had a customer in the showroom. Ms. Vonda had other customer however she was still smiling and willing to help me. After she finished with her customers she got to me and had explained to me about my credit. Ms. Vonda then told me that she would have get with THE DREAM TEAM is who she called them and that they would have to really take their time with my car buying experience. I called Ms. Vonda on Tuesday like she asked and she had me come in. Low and behold I needed a co-signer. I called and my grand father was glad to help. I am very grateful that Ms. Vonda and The Dream Team didn't give up on me knowing that my credit was challenged, THEY GOT ME APPROVED. I drove off in my NEW RED 2014 Hyundai Sonata. It's a GREAT deal when your credit isn't good and people care enough not to give up on you and try to do everything in their power to get you approved. I purchased a 2006 Mini Cooper S convertible and was told it was a one owner car and and was checked out by their certified mechanics and nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I purchased 3 weeks ago and the third day the starter went out and that cost me $390.00, two weeks later the motor went out. Never ran hot or gave any indication something was wrong. This will cost me $2800.00 just to purchase s re-built motor not to include what it cost to have someone put it in. I'm a single mom with a 13 year old that saved up money to pay cash for a car because I'm waiting on my disability to go through. I'm 45 and have health issues but have worked my whole life.I returned to the dealership the day after I found out what was wrong with my car because it was towed and happened on a weekend. They told me sorry the very best they could do was try to help m find a cheaper motor that's been about 4 or 5 days ago and have yet to receive a call. I will violated a s human being and would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

I purchased a 2008 Ford F150 V8, extended cab. The salesman was helpful/no pressure just answered the questions and when I requested to have the vehicle looked at by the mechanic that does all my maintenance there was no hesitation. The vehicle was properly serviced. When I told him the right rear seal was leaking without question it was fixed before I made the purchase. Once I purchased the vehicle the salesman took the time to ensure that I understood how to operate all of the gadgets in the vehicle. Great professional service. Thanks RiverTown.

Been talking to them for a week about this car, had it all set up. Were told the vehicle would be held for us as it was a two and a half hour drive to get there. At almost 8 PM we get a phone call that they sold it. What happened to holding it? HUGE disappointment. Would never, EVER recommend these guys to anyone. Don't even bother if you find a vehicle on their lot that's on the internet and you can't go the same day, it won't be there when you get there.

Purchased my third F150 at Rivertown Ford this past July (2014). I had already put 220,000 on my first Ford truck and traded in my second F150 at 168,000 miles. Purchased a 2014 F150 Crew Cab from Dwight Miller at Rivertown Ford and was very pleased with the experience. Negotiations, trade-in, and paperwork all went smoothly and so far I have been pleased with the vehicle. The only reason that I gave the facilities a lower rating is because they were in construction/renovation at the time and there was limited space, temporary bathrooms, and crowded parking.

I have family who have been in the car business for years and can say I have been in a bunch of dealerships in my day. Dealerships do depend on the people that work there. However at this particular dealership the entire staff I have dealt with is great! But I must say that these two men, (Calvin and Nick) are fantastic employees at River Town Ford in Columbus, GA. Calvin was my Mechanic and was absolutely wonderful when it came to explaining what needed to be done with my vehicle and how he was going to do it. He was very respectful and gave me a very realistic time frame of when it would be done which made it easier for me with regards to returning to work. He was very up front and honest with me when it came to prices. Nick was the service employee who laid it all out for me and also had given me the same time frame as Calvin. This did prove that they were in communication with each other and not just saying something to make it sound better. Nick stayed in contact with me to keep me updated on my truck and was a huge help in me returning back to work. I 100% recommend having these men deal with your vehicle in the service center at the dealership! You will not be disappointed!

I bought a BRAND new 2013 focus, traded in my highlander that had NO problems!! This was our first time buying a NEW car. We had always bought used and never had problems, now this brand new car is messing up so I make an apt to get it fixed, drop it off and 24 hours later I've heard nothing so I call and they haven't even touched my car! It may be 4:00 before they get to it! Why make an apt??? I understand things happen and people get behind, but when I ask about a rental to haul myself and my two children around I'm told that I won't get a rental car until they figure out what's wrong with my car!! So I wait until it's convenient for y'all?!?! This is ridiculous. Worst experience of my life, never again will I buy from rivertown. I'm sure I can find plenty of places that will beat a "rivertown ford deal"

I would like to post a follow up response to the customer service I received at Rivertown Ford. After posting my comments I contacted the service manager Steve McLendon and informed him of my experience with the service department. Mr. McLendon asked me to bring my vehicle in on Friday and said he would take care of it personally. I arrived Friday morning and was met by Mr. McLendon who apologized for what happened. Mr. McLendon did as he said he would and took care of my vehicle, he called me and informed me of what was going on and to let me know my car was ready to be picked up. Mr. McLendon also called me about 3 weeks later to ask me how my car was running and if there was anything else I needed. Thank you Mr. McLendon for taking the time to resolve my issue and for your prompt response. I am now satisfied with the customer service I received from Rivertown Ford.

Internet Buyers don't waste your time! I made a deal on a used vehicle with the sales manager Tommy Miller. We live 5 hrs away so we had to arrange to go down to GA for delivery. The Saturday we were going to pick up the vehicle I was told via email by Tommy Miller the car was no longer available. His explanation? "We sell cars to the first person who walks in with cash." It didn't matter that we had agreed on a deal. I told him i would have made a deposit but he said they don't take deposits. So much for your word huh? This dealership has no integrity or honesty. Go somewhere else and save yourself the grief. I can tell you it does not feel good to be treated this way!

I purchased a Ford F150 after many years of GM products. Ford has come a long way with it's engineering and quality control. Raymond Bullock provided professional sales support without the usual pressure found at most dealerships. He was able to answer the many detailed questions about the truck's specifications. If he didn't know the answer immediately he worked to find the correct answer. There were a few challenges with the store's management during the purchase process regarding documentation, payment procedures and transfer of the vehicle's MSO (title document). Raymond Bullock and Brad Snow worked to find solutions to most of those problems. Their efforts led me to compromise on one issue to get the sale completed. I do think the dealership needs to improve it's ability to process a cash transaction and review it's policy regarding the transfer of an MSO with cash payment. However, my experience buying a new vehicle through Raymond Bullock and Brad Snow was excellent and I would be happy to refer friends to them in the future.

I went to Rivertown ford on November 12, 2013 to have my transmission checked on my 2012 Focus. I was advised by Ed that the transmission guy is two weeks behind and to bring my vehicle back on November 26th. I returned to the Rivertown service department on November 26th and was advised by Ed that the transmission guy is still two weeks behind and that I would have to leave my car in the parking lot for two weeks before they would be able to look at it and find out what the problem was. I was given a time (2 weeks later) to return to the service department for my vehicle to be looked at, only to be told now, my vehicle would have to sit in the parking lot for 2 weeks before they would even look it. I asked for a loaner vehicle and was told they don't have loaner vehicles. Who can go 2 weeks without a vehicle? I told them to put me on a list and I would bring my vehicle back when they were able to work on it and I was told that I would have to leave it, they could not put me on a list. So, in conclusion the only way for my vehicle to by looked at by the transmission guy is to leave it in their parking lot of 2 weeks. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The manager of this service department is either oblivious to what is going on or an absolute idiot, either way he needs to be replaced or they are going to loose more customers to this unacceptable customer service.

I have never owned a Ford and I have always been a GM person. Joe Baldwin showed me a new F150 and helped me through the buying process. He is very knowledgeable when it came to what the truck was equipped with. I have owned the truck for 3 days now and I cannot find anything negative wrong with it. Just took delivery of new special order Mustang Club of America package Mustang V-6 from salesperson Tom Carroll. The whole experience was first class, from the negotiation to the delivery. Tom was easy to work with and did not pressure at any point in the process. If you are looking at any Ford product then you owe it to yourself to visit Tom Carroll. This is not a paid advertisement. I have purchased dozens of new cars over my lifetime and Tom is one of the best salespersons I have worked with.

Note: I marked "Quality of Repairs" N/A because at this time we do not know if the items in need of repair will be fixed to our satisfaction. We did not take possession of the vehicle today due to brake work that is needed. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff as soon as we arrived. We were there to see salesman, Mack Murrah in particular. Our experience with Mack was outstanding. The used truck we came to see was in ROUGH shape having not yet gone through the full service and detailing process so we were somewhat hesitant to seriously consider purchasing it. The key lock box was down at the time, and initially Mack was thinking he could not obtain a key for us to at least see the inside and for him to take us on a test drive. He could tell we were disappointed and so he was persistent in finding a key despite not being able to get the key box open -- and he succeeded. He located a set in the service department and was able to give us a ride. It was evident to us, Mack wanted our business and he was determined to do everything he could to make a sale happen. Mack worked hard for this sale, and we're satisfied with the deal.

Vanessa Tuck who was my salesperson on August, 3rd 2013 when I purchased my vehicle was great. I already knew which car I was interested in so it made the buying process quicker. After I showed her the car we came in her office and immediately begin paperwork. It was no down time the process moved very quickly. Upon finishing most of the paperwork she filled the car up with gas and once my husband and I finished signing paperwork in the business office we were on our way. We were SO pleased with our experience. From the start, Steve Greco took us to the vehicle that had everything we wanted and needed plus so much more! This 2012 escape limited had a price that we just couldn't pass up! On top of that, we thought we were going to have to trade both my husband's and my current vehicles to make this work but instead, they financed in a little extra so we we're able to pay off his truck with another place and keep it now paid off and that wasn't even the vehicle that we traded in! We now only have one car payment which is actually a little less than the truck payment so we are SAVING money! Imagine this, going from a 2001 Honda civic and 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 to a 2012 Ford Escape Limited and paying off the truck and now actually SAVING money because the payment is basically the same and our insurance actually went DOWN. highly recommend giving them a try, we thought we could never get a newer vehicle and be able to afford it but look at us now!

Last year, while i was getting my Ford Fusion serviced, I looked at used cars for my college student. Tom Carroll showed me a Focus and helped get such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up. Upon entering and parking in the dealership, I was immediately met by Raymond Bullock who was very professional from the beginning to the end of my buying experience! He got a detailed list of what I was looking for and immediately took me to the perfect vehicles. I bought a 2013 FX4 and had a very smooth buying experience. Raymond made sure that I was given every rebate I qualified for and also worked hard to get a few nice additions to the vehicle thrown in with the package. I later went back to have a hard top cover installed and was delighted with the job that the dealership did.
