I have purchased two vehicles from Royal now and both experiences were awesome. No pressure, fair prices and fair/good trade in prices. Each time I went, I found what I wanted and after making the leap to buy, was in and out in 30-45 minutes. No head games here like at other dealerships. They will let you take the vehicle out to run errands or whatever you need to give it a good long test drive and make sure it's definitely what you want. They don't pressure for financing like other dealers, cash is just as good! Cars are perfect inside when you pick up, cleaned thoroughly! They didn't worry about my dog hair lined trade in and told me not to bother trying to clean it, they would! There was a crack in the window with the second vehicle I purchased and before I even noticed it, they had already set up the appointment for me to get a new windshield on them. I won't go anywhere else and will recommend no one else.

I was very impressed with Kevin at Royal Subaru! He responded to my internet request for more information on a car within 2-3 minutes after it was sent. Then he followed up with us several times when our schedule prevented us from getting there to test drive the car. He wasn’t pushy and he didn’t hound us, he just touched base to see if there was anything he could do for us. He even offered to stay late on a Saturday night if it would help us out! Some people may say “big deal, they make commission” but I say it is a big deal. In this day and age it is rare to find any sales or service people that actually follow through with what they say they are going to do. So I’d like to thank Kevin again!

Horrible experience.. Towed in ignition was replaced needed key programed.. Audi Louisville Kentucky... 2007 Q7 Showed fault code for Stearing column module was told had to replace reason for car not starting not bad ignition like previously thought... $3500... Had no option leave my only vehicle or pay... 2days later was told had to buy a new key $411... That key wouldn't unlock outside door doesn't go to my car... I advise him only one I had and it does....Paid $4000 bill Get in car to discover ... ignition looks as though someone tried to hot wire my car missing ring leaving gap between ignition and dash ... Made aware said it would cost more..to fixs it. Steering wheel buttons no longer work can't control radio/CD player like previously... On drive home reading detailed paperwork Audi provided everything done #1 issue car came in w/DEAD BATTERY...

As a single female entering the dealership-I did NOT feel uncomfortable at all. I was treated with respect. Everyone was friendly. I was shown various vehicles with no pressure to purchase. All my questions was answered. I even went back the next day with my questions I thought of overnight and they took time to answer them. I bought a car on May of this year and I have yet to receive the information necessary to register and tag the car out of state. Royal initially blamed VW Credit, VW Credit blamed Royal and many weeks later and multiple errors in document preparation by Royal have e as of yet unable to title a car in a new state.The problems started with a bad VIN on the sales agreement, but they have since transposed by several address issues to include cite, county, state and zip code. They used the POA to make changes that I wasn't copied on and they were unresponsive when I pointed out the mistake and that my temporary tags were expiring.

Frankie did an excellent job as our salesman. He knew the features and accessory packages of the vehicles and did a nice job of pointing them out and telling us how they work. He was friendly, courteous and professional in all of our interactions. He helped arrange a dealer trade for a vehicle with the color we wanted and also arranged (with manager approval) for a towing package to be added, at no extra cost, making the sales price a better deal. And despite being a customized order for a car not in stock, we had the car within days. Everything went very smoothly. We also had the very odd experience of finding a live bedbug in the car while Frankie was teaching us about the various electronics systems. At my wife's request, Frankie and his sales manager promptly called out Terminix to inspect and treat the car (they found nothing more) and had the car detailed and vacuumed thoroughly, as well. We appreciated this immensely, as bedbug infestations are hard to treat and if they get into your house, it costs thousands of dollars to exterminate them. Apparently, it was a single bug that came in from the environment, or from someone who had been in the car. I am very impressed with the new Outback, which is greatly improved over the 2008 model we also own and love. The new Outback is very comfortable, handles well, is quiet at highway speed, has good legroom in the back (not true of our 2008) and has all of the nice electronics and accessories of luxury SUVs costing 50% more. And it is made in Indiana. We are very happy with the purchase.

I stopped by to take a new Subaru Crosstrek or Outback for a test drive, and ended up buying a used (1 yr old) Outback with NO warranty, so I purchased a 4 yr extended warranty. I never liked the car from day 1! I traded it for a new Honda HRV 8 months later. They refuse to refund the balance of the extended warranty. They're fairly nice before the sale, but won't give you the time of day afterwards.

The dealership didn't have the type of car we wanted, so they found one online at another dealership in Nashville, TN They made arrangements for that car to be brought to Bloomington in two days. They are just so unprofessional and irresponsible. I guess it's because that area is not competitive enough. I used my sick day to make appointment with one of their sale and next day I drove one and half hour to Bloomington. After they pulled the car out, the sale said the car just had been sold to somebody else yesterday. I asked why didn't they inform me before I come and the sale just said I don't know you're coming. Definitely the worst dealer I've ever met.

Stay away from Royal on the Eastside! Watch out for salesman Kevin Tylisz, in particular. My wife and I made an appointment with him to discuss an offer we were putting on a used vehicle he had shown us. When we got there, he told us that he had sold it that morning. Then he tried to sell us other cars (including one he previously told me had already been sold.) Instead of calling and telling us the car we wanted was no longer available, he made us drive across town in the snow for a sales pitch. Dishonest, disreputable and disrespectful. Don't waste your time here.

Worst customer service from any dealer, of any kind of retail, I've ever experienced. I've had two separate cars at Royal, both times I've dropped my car off for basic services and both times my car has been there for three to four days beyond expected due to the complete lack of urgency from the service representatives. No update calls on my car's status, no contact when services couldn't be performed due to insufficient parts or broken service equipment. These guys work with the attitude that your time and car issues are not their problem. Clearly their service manager has no idea what is going on OR he doesn't care. You decide which is a greater liability for your time and money.

I have been trying to buy this vehicle searching and searching when I come to find out that there are many safety issues. Safety issues are major. The exhaust was entirely out. The muffler needed replaced. I gave them a solid price and asked if they could fix the vehicle and they said no. What a place to not even care about their customers. There could have been carbon dioxide in the vehicle!! There would have been lawsuits and I should have mentioned that to them! Unbelievable is all I have to say. Never going back! EVER!!!! They followed me out the door trying to make a deal happen but it was too late and it was still way too over priced. It was nearly 4,000 over the Kelly Book on the vehicle and with the mileage year and everything. I do not know who prices their vehicles there but they are way overpriced and the salesmen know absolutely nothing about the cars.

We were on our way over to buy a car from Ryan Allen. We had agreed on a price via email and phone. He knew we were coming over. He called us back to tell us that someone in Ohio is on the phone and is going to buy the car. Royal sold the car to the Ohio buyer. What a horrible (and stupid) way to do business. We are in the market of buying 2 cars and he knew that. Royal lost 2 deals with us. Several friends told me that they have had bad experiences with Royal. I would never buy a car from Royal. I'll go to Indy to buy my cars.

These people were okay until I made it obvious that I was NOT going to buy there! Then, they rapidly disappeared!! No one wanted to deliver me the final number of their offer on my car!! The number was a flat out insult to me, my car, and my womanhood!!! They would NOT have dared to give a man such a lowball offer, and then be pissy about it when I walked out!!! They followed me to my car promising me the moon, and to call me, which did not happen!!!

I went to them today to see and test drive a car that I am interested in. After the test drive, I made an offer lower than they expected. The guy named Ryan said that I was not a serious buyer, and I came to them only to drive the car for fun! Yes, he said this to me, can you believe that? When I was about to leave, he said that if they take my offer would I buy the car right at the spot. I said I need more time to think about it, he replied that I am not a serious buyer, and asked me if I really have the money to but the car. Then he thanked me for "messing with them". What on earth can he say something like that! It is not about the car, it is about his attitude and manner. I am really disappointed and would never go back again.

I've been a Subaru owner for many years, but it had not worked out before where the exact Subaru I was looking for was available at Royal on the Eastside. I was in the market for a Subaru Legacy and finally I spotted one on Cars.com that looked right. I expressed my interest over the web and had a reply from the dealership in about an hour at 10pm! We set up a test drive and I was assisted by both David Goya and Ryan Smiley. They were very knowledgeable about the car and made the purchasing process very smooth. They also worked very fairly with me about my trade-in value. We ended completing the deal after normal business hours but everyone was still very helpful. The next day, I got a call from David that he noticed one of the fog light bulbs was missing as I drove off the lot. He had already ordered the right parts so I could bring the car by later and have them installed. That's excellent customer service. Tony Angerette did the best job I've experienced covering financing and warranty options. And finally, Steve Hudson put the cherry on top with getting the fog light replaced. I've had previous cars in for service there, and their shop always does a great job. I'm glad to have now purchased a vehicle from Royal as well. I will definitely be going back there after the next 200,000 miles.

This was the first car I've ever bought on my own, and the first one from a dealer. James McClatchie was my sales guy, and it was a great experience. I know James personally and knew he could help me navigate the process of buying a car. It helped that I fell in love with the car and there wasn't a comparable one within 100 miles, but it was still great. Very low pressure sales environment, relaxing interior replete with free drinks and snacks, and easy to deal with, friendly people. Haven't had any service or repairs done yet so I can't comment on that.

I was looking for an Audi S4 from my home town in Ohio and stumbled upon Royal's website and inventory online and was quickly introduced to Ryan Smiley. I remember that it seemed like a cool idea that you could "chat" with a member of the team; however, I was doubting the ability to talk to anyone at 10pm (well after they closed at 7pm). However, I clicked on the "chat with me" button when Ryan's face popped up on my screen and instantly got a reply from him. He knew the car inside and out and from top to bottom as if he was physically in the car itself, even though he told me after I asked him that he was enjoying the comfort of his couch during a Sunday night football game. When I arrived later the following evening, the car we discussed had been detailed, waxed and parked away from the other inventory with the keys and a plate waiting in the car. A 15 minute test drive, a 10 minute negotiation process, and a 15 minute paperwork process later, I was back on the road heading home to Ohio in my new Audi S4!! Smiley, as they call him, was awesome and I would refer anyone at anytime!

James McClatchie was my salesman. And he was awesome. I am very picky. I can in wanting something older and the finance guy said we could get something newer for the same price. I was really upset because I wanted the jeep. I didn't really want a car I wanted an SUV. James spent over a week helping me. He found the perfect SUV for me. Not to big not to small. Very luxury and nice. A 2010 mercury mariner. I feel in love when I saw it and drove it. He was very helpful and put up with my pickiness. If I were to get another car I would go back to him. First of all, I hate buying cars. I hate negotiating prices. I hate deciding what features I can live with, or choosing the ones I can't live without. It's an awful process.But I had a really great experience at Royal on the Eastside.I have purchased two previous cars from dealers in the Indianapolis area, but I decided to shop locally this time.Not only did I find exactly the car I was looking for, but the sales experience was actually enjoyable. I was trading in two vehicles toward one new car, and I got what felt like a great deal, plus a lot of patience and assistance getting the second vehicle transferred to them. There was no pressure to buy things I didn't want or need, like extended warranties, and there was not a lot of drama during the negotiation process.I hope I'll be in this new vehicle for a long time to come, but next time I'm in the market for a new car, I'll be starting my search here.

We arranged to have service performed at approx 103,000 miles on our A5. We had called before scheduling and were told the repairs at this time would be about $380 including a change of spark plugs. Service at 75,000 mi. had not been done. Not knowing anyting else they might find wrong we scheduled the car and asked that the work be completed by 3:30 that day so we could arrange to pick it up that evening. We live 35 mi. from the dealership. My wife was called 2 hours later than they promised to call and so they said the service would be no charge. All they did was change the oil and top off fluids. (about $60 worth) The check engine light was on when the car arrived. When we picked up the car it was still on and no mention of the problem or if it had been diagnosed. Also, no one was in the service dept since it was about 7:00 pm. Now, we surmised they had done a poor job both in scheduling their people to do the work and only got the oil changed and so to keep some goodwill they didn't charge us. To top it off, they misplaced the key and it took about 20 mins. to find it. We are totally diappointed in their performance and would be reluctant to return for futher work and could not recommend this dealership for sales or service to any friends. We do not feel any effort was taken to serve us and repair our vehicle.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. They sold a SUV to me in AS-IS condition. I made a fair offer for the vehicle and asked that the truck be serviced to remedy the service engine light. The deal fell apart but then the sales manager stepped in and downplayed the light after supposedly calling a member of the service department. Then he went into sales mood and dangled a carrot in the form of a deal to take the truck AS-IS. Again I asked for them to simply service it and we would complete the sale. After much back and forth apparently we broke and the truck was bought. We took it to be serviced and the minor issue blew up into a major repair and evidence was discovered that suggested the engine had already been diagnosed (the bad part was marked with an "X"). Maybe they didn't know about the problem but based on the conversations about how they say they do business, hindsight of the negotiation process, and their response and attention after the sale - I believe they knew! I will never shop with these clowns again.
