Wife took her Certified 2012 Kia Optima in for an oil change and inspection. Worst mistake EVER!! After charging $30.00 for 2 light bulbs she drives car home and tire pressure gauge comes on.Not a big problem RIGHT. Then car starts losing power so we take car back to Kia and 2 hours later Mr.Lee Mathena states...it could be the turbo waste gate and it will cost $200.00 and by the way you have 2 front marker lights out and back license plate light out. I guess they forgot they had already charged $30.00 during inspection for the licence plate light. When I brought this to his attention he suddenly got embarrassed and call Mr. Eric to take over. Mr. Eric wanted to charge $145.00 for the work they did or DID NOT DO. I asked Erick are you aware this car has an additional wrap around warranty? No, I did not. Well, do you think its a great idea to find out before you present an invoice to your customers? He looked dumbfounded and immediately said my warranty does not cover this issue. " The warranty he knew nothing about" Long story short.. he changed the invoice to Zero balance, I retrieved my keys and told them I will never again patronize Safford Kia Fredericksburg, Va. Too many lies!!! Their creditbility is ZERO! Take the drive to Woodbridge and save yourself from the nonesense.

Me and my husband are first time car buyers. After doing extensive online research, my choice came down to the Kia Sorento, Honda CR-V, and Toyota Rav4, and on paper, the Kia Sorento won. We went to the Safford Kia and was greeted by Tim. He was very polite, courteous, helpful, and above all, patient, with all of our first-time-car-buyer questions. When we sat in this Sorento for the firs time, it was screaming "choose me!", and we just couldn't say no. This SUV just felt right, and it was love at first sight. Most salespeople would have steered us to the most expensive model with the most options. Tim, however, was different. After assessing our needs and temperament, he recommended a model that fit our needs and experience, which was NOT the top of the line model; but rather, one near the base-line model, with the options package that suited us perfectly. Then, Betty explained the financing options and walked us thru all the paperwork, explaining all the warranty options, which we chose the complete warranty package, so that we are covered bupber-2-bumper for 10 years/100,000 miles. The EVU for the life of vehicle, the first-time free oil change, free inspections for life, etc. are added plus's of buying from Safford. All-N-all, our first-time car-buying experience could have not been a better one. If I had to fine one complaint, it would be that Kia doesn't offer enough colors for their vehicles. I wanted a very bright LOUD electric blue, but most of the colors tented to steer towards the darker neutral colors, and we chose a very beautiful dark charcoal color, which everyone says really looks good with us and the Sorento itself. Also, the dealership could have had a little better in-stock selection, without having to resort in pulling one from another dealership. The showroom was very clean, open, comfortable, and the smell of the showroom reaped of that new car smell. I highly recommend Safford Kia, and the Sorento over the Rav4 or CR-V.

I purchased this car brand new in 2013. However, in less than 12mo. And 12,000 miles with the vehicle I starting hearing cracking noises in my font wheel when making sharp turns (coming off highway ramps for instance). Along with that my tires were wearing on that same front wheel. Have taken the Have taken car back to the dealer several times and no one seemed to know what the problem was. The person in the service department was very rude and arrogant toward his coworkers. Never had my problem solved even after they were made to give me a loner. Upon retrieving my vehicle over a period of three days, it appeared my car just sat there as if had never been touched (but I could not prove it). Secondly, just this month I took my car there to be inspected, and they failed it for wipers and one light out over the rear tag, they wanted to charge $60.00 just to replace the one bulb.(one bulb still working) and another $55.00 for the wipers, what a rip-off. To top that off , after all repairs were made, they reinspected the WHOLE car and found something else to fail it for, claiming that he was not the original person that inspected it so therefore they needed to do an entire inpection. Will never recommend this service department, let alone buy another vehicle.

I recently purchased a 2016 KIA Optima from Safford KIA of Fredericksburg, VA. It was a pleasure dealing with my Salesman, Lee Henson, and Sales Manager, Bill Crockett. They made me and my wife feel very comfortable when trying to get the best possible deal for us and, they succeeded in that regard. After purchasing the car, we experienced an issue with the sound system the following day. They arranged to send someone to our home to assess the issue and determined that it would need to go to the shop at the dealership. The next day, we received a call that the problem was a defective radio and to address the problem, exchanged that radio with another from a different car on the lot. We got the car back that very day. Very pleased with the result.

Initially we dealt with both Bill Crockett and Lee Henson. Both made my wife and me feel very comfortable in dealing with them in pricing out the vehicle we chose. Subsequent to receiving the car on Monday, August 1st, we encountered a problem on August 2nd with the sound system throughout the vehicle. After discussing the issue with Lee and Bill, Bill sent Lee to our home with a possible free loaner, to see if he could determine the problem. Eventually he could not so he drove our vehicle back to the dealership. Today, August 3rd, I was contacted that the issue was a defective radio. Initially, service said it would take up to a week to get it replaced. I touched base wit the General Manager, Tony Long, and he arranged to have the radio replaced today by removing one from a comparable vehicle on the lot. The car is now on its way back to me. Very Happy! My review related both to NEW purchase and SERVICE for the radio.

Coming into this dealership I didn't think I was going to leave with a vehicle. Lee Henson was my sales constant, who walked me through the paperwork and got me prepared on what was to come. This was my second car lawn with credit I just started to build.Lee, Tony and Cam were so helpful, though I didn't get the vehicle I wanted I was put into a vehicle I could afford and not much more then my last car payment! They were the BEST of help and I cant wait to bring my friends and families by to get a vehicle. They were so professional yet we had a lot f laughs waiting on the paperwork. I highly recommend going to Safford KIA, I'll sure be back when I'm ready for my next vehicle!

This dealership was very friendly and checked my damaged car. Very friendly at arranging another vehicle for the rest of our trip - "out with old and no more problems." In hind site I feel they took advantage of the situation by giving me a low offer for my vehicle. Once I was home, with computer access, I found the value of my car (low mileage still some warranty) , even damaged, was two times more than what they gave me toward trade in. The "Fair Market" program doesn't seem so FAIR, but KIA says each dealer makes own deal. They also sold me insurance under false pretenses, which they did "credit my account" for. I came home with a new car and new car payment ( I had just made the last payment on the damaged car) not really the souvenir I wanted from vacation! The only thing they saved me was another stop in their town.

I would strongly recommend financing instead of paying entirely for your vehicle at once. They wont return calls, emails, etc. GOOD LUCK GETTING A PHONE CALL BACK, EVERYONE'S VOICEMAIL IS FULL- finance manager specifically. Kind of feel like since they got my 20,000 check, they frankly do not care since they got my money. Poor Business. Love my car, really wish i got it somewhere else.Carl Johnson though was very helpful, but otherwise, I am incredibly disappointed with the behavior of some of the associates.

This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership with Neville Ferguson. My first purchase was stress free and seamless. Neville a was extremely patient in answering all of my questions and handling any concerns I had. So of course when I was in the market to look for another vehicle, there was no question where to go. This is the second vehicle we have purchased at Kia of Fredericksburg, the first under the previous owner, and now the 2015 Kia Soul under the Safford name. Our first Kia was a 2011 Sorrento purchased in October of 2010 and was a real pleasure to drive and own as we were spending a lot more time on the road then we are now. Since our first purchase my wife has admired the Soul and we are now able to get her one, and she loves it. We started working with Tony long as he has helped my brother in law and sister in law with the purchase of many vehicle over the years. He turned us over to Adam Marlowe to find the right program vehicle for my wife and he was very informative and attentive to all of our questions. We had started early in the evening after work and Adam stayed right there with us once we had moved from yes, this is the one we want, all the way through until all the paperwork was done late that night. The next day after we took the Soul home we noticed one headlight had been broken internally and was not visible until the car was out in the daylight. We called Tony and Adam and they said No Problem, bring it back and we will replace it. Since that time the headlight has been replaced and we have found no other problems with the Soul. Due to our experience we will probably be back for a program Sedona when our current daily driver is worn out. I would also like to praise Mr. Lamar Perry for his efforts in getting all the paperwork processed after we had made our decision on a vehicle. Mr. Perry was also there late into the night making sure all the papers were explained and signed correctly so we could drive the Soul home that night. All in all, I believe this was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I have ever had, and I have purchased more than a few over time. Thank you all for your professionalism and service that evening and after.

I had been searching for a 2015 Kia Sorento for abt two months, and finally found one with all of the features that I wanted at this dealership. My initial point of contact was with Adam, and from beginning to end he was nothing short of amazing. The dealership is abt an hour long drive from where I reside, so I wanted to be sure the vehicle is exactly as advertised online. I initially went out to check the vehicle out. Once there we talked "numbers", and started the paperwork, and I drove the truck home the same day. This being my first vehicle purchase on my own, the process, customer service and follow up was great! I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone, and ask for Adam!

On a Monday, I turned in my leased Honda CRV. The next day I needed a car for a quick trip to the beach with my kids, so I rented a KIA Soul from my local car rental company. I really liked driving the rental and since I was in the market for a car, I checked out pre-certified KIAs while I was on vacation. A pre-certified KIA was right in my price range and I found one I really liked. So on the way home from our trip, I stopped at Stafford KIA in Fredericksburg to "check it out". It also happened that I could just drop my rental off .2 miles away from the dealer. My overall experience with the dealer was pleasant. I'm a single mom and I was worried I would be an easy target to be taken advantage of. I felt Adam was trustworthy and honest in dealing with me. He also helped keep my kids entertained during the process, which was very appreciated. Being in the situation I am in, and learning more about owning a pre-certified vehicles from KIA, I feel confident in their standards in standing by their product and warranty.I'm thankful for Adam, & co, for making my first, offical car-buying experience pleasant.

Neville provided outstanding customer service. The engine had went out in my previous vehicle and I was in need of a good used car. Neville showed me a couple of vehicles in my price range and once I selected a vehicle, he worked with the finance team (which was amazing) to seal the deal. Throughout the entire process, Neville respected the information I was providing to make my decision. Not once did I feel pressured. Neville treated me as if I was family and provided me with VIP treatement. He is the "go to" saleman at Kia!!!!

I normally don't write reviews, but I must after experiencing such great service from Neville, at Safford Kia. His years of experience showed when Neville struck up a conversation with my wife and I. His first concern was not the amount of money that he could get out of us, but what vehicle best suited our daily needs. Neville asked the right questions even interjecting his own personal experience, helping us secure a vehicle that was within our budget. He showed us the various options, stating all the pros and cons with each individual model we were interested in. TONY LIED ABOUT THE FUNDS OF MY TRADE IN. The CAR I WANTED HE SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT LOCATE IT LOCALLY. WE ACTUALLY FOUND 4 CARS THE COLOR WE WANTED WITHIN 50 T0 80 MILES OF FREDERICKSBURG WITH A SALES PRICE DISCOUNTED BECAUSE IT WAS A 2016 Sportege we wanted. He added uncessary things to the sale price and even increase the ticket price as well, Nothing was explained to us. I happen to catch it all before the last page of the paper work was signed. This was my first time buying a car by myself and they treated me like gold. They took the time to explain in detail the process. Larry took time to seat with me for a while and speak, even let me eat lunch in this office, he is the Manager!!Eric was totally awesome explaining how the process worked and made sure I was satisfied the whole time I was there. He even moved the stuff from my old car to the new one.The lady in Finance, Chelsey, extremely helpful, kind and so patient! Every person that I dealt with at KIA was fantastic. Everything about purchasing my Kia Sportage was great. Carl was so helpful and Larry was exceptional. Larry and I had spoken on the phone earlier and he came over to introduce himself while I was signing the paperwork and made sure everything was going ok. They both worked hard to get me the price I wanted and I drove my dream car off the lot that night. Jacqui discussed all my finance paperwork and was so nice. It was after closing time but they stayed until the deal was done. I came in the next day and Carl got me a full tank of gas and the car was washed and waxed. Eric set up my Bluetooth and answered all my questions. I had to come back a week later to get a second key and the service department was pleasant, quick and efficient. This was the best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle. I would recommend Safford Kia to anyone looking for a new or used car.

Larry Burkes along with Neville Ferguson really make you feel like a valued customer. They will go out of their way to try and get you a deal that will make you happy. Larry has to be one of the best managers in the business. He made us feel like he was there for us and would be there for us in the future. This is our first KIA experience and we feel good about it. Jacqui Conry made the paperwork as much fun I think as anyone could.

Larry Burkes is the best sales manager did a fantastic job with making sure everything ran smoothly. He was very friendly and made sure that my expierence at Safford Kia was one to remember. I will definitely be buying from Safford Kia again. Ron Williamson was a fantastic sales man I truly enjoyed the no pressure atmosphere.

I also honestly believe the sales manager and finace officer did everything they could to meet my budget needs. I went to have the Airbag recall taken care of on 3-23-15. But when I left my car was making a God aweful scrubbing noise. I had to call for 4 days to finally get a call back and an appointment to bring it back in. after taken my Vehicle back there, the Service Manager Eric Motley was So rude to me & disrespectful, as well as his maybe 20 year old kid working on my car. When I had taken my vehicle there originally NOTHING was wrong with it. I just had brand new tires put on my car on 3-16-15 one week Prior to going to Kia and a FULL inspection of my brakes and all was good. I have no clue as to WHY Kia needed to remove my tires for the recalls being done but they did, and now i am supposed to believe they had nothing to do with the way my car sounds now. The kid that was trying to put my tire back on could not even line it up to get the lug nuts to tighten back up while i was standing there, he got frustrated and blamed it on me saying something was wrong with my rims. WHAT??? really? After they were finished talking to me like i was xxxx of the earth or just plain stupid, Mr. Motley then told me if i ever had another recall or issue to go somewhere else and to NEVER COME BACK THERE. So therefore I will be sure to let all my Marine Corp friends and Government Employees to Also go Somewhere else to have their Vehicles looked at.

I have to say that Lynette was amazing! When I first went in there, I saw everything I wanted, but i didn't want to purchase a new car, and make those high payments. So I ended up telling them a price I wanted to pay each month and I just couldn't get to that. I explained that I'd rather have a used car that has what I want than a brand new one that does. I couldn't find a white used one there as I wanted that was used and around my payments, so I left. I then decided, why not try Carmax because it's used. Well, I went there and the experience wasn't horrible, but the car was smoked in and of course, I'm allergic so I couldn't buy it. Then they ran my credit to like 15 different places only to see my payments over $500 a month, I have a 720 Credit score! How that happened, I don't know! Anywho, I decided, I'm just not going to get a new car, i was frustrated and done and now my credit was messed up and I have no car, so it really hit me. Then I get an email from Lynette about a month or so later saying that she has exactly what I was looking for and around the payments I wanted. I went last night and got it. It meant the world to me that she would keep me in mind and remembered my needs and wants. I will recommend her and their team to anyone. But definitely work with Lynette because she was so great and a pleasure to work with.

Safford Kia is absolutely the best in Fredericksburg. Great customer service, attentive to my needs, and just overall a great experience. My budget was tight but Neville F made it happen. Neville is the best sales person I've ever worked with. He was very friendly, funny, comforting in the process, and he has a great personality. I appreciate his follow through, he called me 24 hours after my purchase to make sure the care was running smooth, and offered extended help if needed. Wow!!!!!! Still can not get over how amazing this Optima is. My wife and I were searching for something economical but easy on the eyes. We found it! This hybrid optima is exactly what we needed. I came in to inquire about a used vehicle I had seen online and was helped by Carl Johnson. He was a riot and just an all around very nice man. The process was pretty straight forward and easy. They took my old car as a trade in, which was a huge relief. Finance was very informative, and everyone who helped me was very kind. I brought the vehicle back for routine service work and was very pleased with everyone in the garage too. They explained exactly what they needed to do and why. The cashier made sure I was completely comfortable with the bill before finishing the transaction and since the weather was bad, she found someone to bring the car right out front for me, very sweet. I will absolutely be bringing the car back for service and will buy my next car here, whenever the time comes. I would recommend them to anyone!

I'm very impressed with this dealership. My wife and I spent an entire weekend at multiple dealerships. There was always an issue and we didn't feel as though we should settle for anything less than perfect. We stopped into Safford Kia and met with Ron. In a matter of minutes he pulled around the car that eventually became ours. We bought the car because it checked all of our boxes but the employees played a large role in our purchase. Chelsea called us a few days after we brought the car home and we were able to ask the questions that we forgot to ask at the dealership. We were taken on a tour of the dealership which we hear is about to be remodeled. Everyone was friendly and we really do love our Kia.

I am new to the area and took my car in for service. I am military and have moved alot. I have never looked forward to going to a dealership like i do now. Safford kia has an unbelievable team. They are saavy enough to have someone like Chelsea multitasking and making sure all the loose ends are attended to. Eric has top rate mechanics. When Chelsea makes a follow up call, it is a real call to make sure the customer is happy.

I recently moved here from Colorado where I purchased my Kia. I was about to drive back to visit for Christmas when I realized my oil needed to be changed. I called Safford Kia and spoke with Chelsea and she immediately fit me in that same day. I was in and out in less than the time promised which was amazing given the amount of packing I still had to do. I've since been back for a tune up and worked with Lee who is amazingly helpful. Great prices, wonderful customer service, and I trust their work.

After needing to trade in my last vehicle, I was referred to Lynnette Zapata. While working with Lynnette, she was very thorough in her dealings with my needs. She was very realistic with me when discussing finances and answered every question I had. She definitely defies the stereotype of the "used car sales (wo)man. Not once did I feel like she was being pushy and steering me toward the "commission gold mine" so to speak. It was like buying a car from my sister, if my sister was a car whiz. She was very attentive, willing and able to answer any questions regarding the specifications of any vehicle I was interested in looking at. I was in and out of the dealership in about two hours. When it is time to trade in the vehicle I have now, I will most certainly go see Lynnette. Even after I purchased the vehicle, she has been my go-to person, as far as mechanical references and just answering general questions. I am extremely pleased with my 2007 Nissan XTerra and the service I received from Lynnette.

I have to say that my experience at Safford Kia was by far the absolute best experience I've had in my 38 adult years. My salesperson, Ron Williamson was the most knowledgeable and friendly salesperson that I've ever met. He took the time to understand what I wanted and was so patient while I debated and went back and forth with my decisions. Buying a car is a big deal ans I felt zero pressure from anyone. Mallie, who I believe is the sales manager, was absolutely a blessing. I worked with Jacquie in finance and while that is typically the most brutal part in buying a car, she made sure I understood and was fully informed of what I was signing. I met the service team- Lee and Tim- and instead of taking my beautiful Kia to my local mechanic I will be bringing it back to Safford Kia. There's a very good feel in that dealership and I felt like family. I highly recommend all of my friend ans family to visit them. My experience couldn't have been better and I'm absolutely in love with my New car!

I had a wonderful experience at Safford Kia with Lynnette Zapata. There was a time where I wouldn't let a woman sell me car because they couldn't tell me any of the general aspects of the car I was buying but Lynnette knew what she was talking about and had knowledge about the car inside and out. I came in for brakes and tires for the winter season and ended doing a upgrade from a 2012 to a 2015 Kia Soul and as you know the car buying process is long and boring but every step of the way Lynnette was there walking me through it, along with everyone else in the building. The whole staff is made it a great experience, but Lynnette was helpful, patient, honest, and all-around wonderful sales professional.

They didn't have the model I was looking for, so they searched their database and found the exact model I was looking for with all the bells and whistles so that when my car arrived I was excited to get there and drive it!!
