My family and I were in desperate need of a vehicle. Dave Ludington a salesman at Sam Leman Ford kept looking for a safe and reliable vehicle that was in our price range. He found us a 2006 Trail Blazer that had low mileage and that was in great condition. It was well maintained and was absolutely beautiful! Everyone at the dealership was friendly and polite. My fiance and our two children were waiting for the financing to go through. It was taking awhile since it was Memorial Day. The GM Jim Swaggart sent us to lunch on the dealership to help pass the time! (Not an easy thing to do with two children!) I was amazed! We were treated with such kindness and respect. Jacob Perry has the patience of Job! I had been searching for a very specific car online, and finally found it at Sam Leman in Illinois. I contacted the dealership, and as luck would have it, Jacob Perry was assigned to be my salesman. Jacob turned out to be so much more than merely a "salesman", going way over and above the expectations of that job description. I had my own financing through BECU here in Washington State, and I must say, BECU made the transaction VERY cumbersome, but every step, twist, and turn, Jerry and the team at Sam Leman were on top of their game, jumping through all the hoops BECU threw at me, and in the end, I have my beautiful new (to me) car - a 2014 Audi A6 3.0T Quattro with all the goodies packed into her. Throughout this process, Jerry has felt more like an assistant buyer than a salesman - and I truly appreciate that approach! Thank you Jerry - without your patience in dealing with the stupulations - er, I mean - STIPulations BECU kept throwing at us, this deal would not have happened - and a big THANK YOU to the finance team behind you, for taking care of the out of state title work, and finding JUST the right warranty package to fit in my budget.

Took my vehicle in for a service recall for the key fobs. I purchased the vehicle there and have only had it serviced there. When I picked up vehicle, the key fob did not have the side door and tailgate feature. Jared said he was not sure what happened. When I asked when we could rectify this situation he said he would have to look into it. He would call me sometime next week. The issue for me is his poor demeanor and tone. I would expect him to apologize and say that they would work to get this fixed ASAP. Instead, he said he is used to these type of mistakes after working there for 6 months and that he does not know how all of these errors occur. This is not the first time that I have had to take my vehicle back for the same repair more than once. The sales team is good and I agree with the comments posted for them but the service dept is terrible and I have had terrible customer service since the beginning. This is the last straw for me and I will never buy from any Sam Leman or Dodge again after this incident. I would like to add that I have purchased three vans, a truck and jeep from Chrysler. I just received a call earlier in the week asking me to trade in my van which I have done every few years and I cannot wait for them to contact me again to tell them about the experience I had today with the Bloomington Sam Leman.

I was looking for a pre-owned vehicle for our daughter and had specific criteria in mind. After a considerable amount of searching on Cars.com, I contact several dealers that had vehicles in their inventory that met my criteria. After talking to Nick Poe at Sam Leman, I decided to stop in and drive a couple of cars. Neither of those cars were exactly what I thought I wanted, but I left Nick with my criteria. In the next few weeks, I drove cars at other dealerships, but still didn't have any luck in finding the right car at the right price. During that time, Nick stayed in touch with some emails and phone calls with other cars that had recently been added to their inventory. He was the only salesperson at any of the dealerships that seemed to be "working for me" to help me find the right car for us. Eventually, Nick called with a car that sounded interesting and I stopped back by to check it out. After driving the car and having some reasonable discussions about the price, I made the purchase. I couldn't be more pleased with the car and I feel great about the experience of working with Nick and Sam Leman. There is no doubt, the next time I'm in the market for a car, I'll check with them first.

She has definitely stole my trust and business from any other dealership. She talked to me like I was her own son, but in reality I was just a customer and a stranger at that. I really really love that about her and this dealership. I drove 3hours from St. Louis, MO just to buy a car and I promise you it was all worth it. Everyone I greeted was friendly, and welcoming. I was initially looking for a great condition, low mileage used Jeep Wrangler. I had been to a few other dealers. Josh Rash was our sales person. We stopped in to look at the new Cherokees last Sat. I wanted my husband to test drive to see if we wanted to downsize from our 2012 Grand Cherokee. Josh had previously allowed me to test drive a Limited the weekend before. He was not pushy at all when I explained that I really only wanted to see if I could make the transition. My original thought was with the Trailhawk, but we found a dark blue 2016 Limited that was loaded and actually less than most 2015 models. Josh was very professional, and helped us get what we considered a good deal. I have recommended him to others who have expressed an interest in the Cherokee.

I have never had such an astounding experience purchasing a new vehicle than with Mike Gannon at Sam Leman Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Bloomington, IL. I recently purchased a brand new 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sport with the help of Mr. Gannon. Mike's level of professionalism and customer service were on a level that I have never experienced before. Most people dread car shopping, but Mike made it easy and fun even though I changed my mind about the color and upgrades of the Jeep multiple times. There was absolutely no pressure or hard selling. He made it his mission to make sure that I got the vehicle that I absolutely wanted. Get this, he even met me on a Sunday (his day off mind you) at the dealership to ensure that I had a loaner vehicle since I was getting my Jeep paint protected! He even installed the fuel door that my girlfriend got me on that same Sunday! I just cannot say enough about the extraordinary experience I had with Sam Leman and Mike Gannon. I do not like sales line pitches or people being too pushy just to try and get a sale! Seth was the complete opposite of all of those negative things! Suzi was awesome!!! All I did was make a call about a van that I had seen online and she took it from there. Not only did she go directly to where the van was but she looked at the others that had just come into the detail shop and told me about all of them in detail! I was looking for a van for my daughter who couldn't afford much with four kids to raise and Suzi totally understood. Some salespeople hear how much you have to spend and dismiss you immediately. I looked at several makes and models. Decided go check the Town and Country van. I had a 2007 Dodge Van that gave great service. I wanted the extra saftey features of the T&C van. My husband sent an email and received a prompt reply from Mike. They exchanged a few emails back and forth. Mike was always prompt with his replies and answered all our questions. He also made sure to get all of the discounts we could. We went in to look at the Jeep the next day. There was never any pressure to buy and he continued to try to find discounts for us. When we made up our mind it was a quick and fairly painless process. The finance department was also great. He took time after the deal was done to show us features on the Jeep and how to shift from 2W to 4H to 4L and how to use my wheel locks and sway bar release. That extra time was really appreciated. And if I had a question that he didn't know the answer to, he pulled out the manual. He made this the most comfortable car buying experience I have ever had! After the fact there was an issue between the dealership and my credit union. It was not the fault of Sam Leman but they were extremely helpful and helped to resolve the issue quickly!! It has been about a month since since our purchase and he still checks on us. If I ever buy a new car again, I will go right to Mike Gannon!! He really does treat his clients they way he would want to be treated!!!

I needed a truck and shopped around for my best deal. Looking back, I feel bad I didn't call Mike Gannon at Sam Leman first. But I did visit several dealerships in a 30 mile radius and didn't find the right truck at the right price for me. I made one call to Mike in the morning. He said he had the truck that was perfect for me. I stopped by the dealership that afternoon and took it for a test drive. Their asking price was already better than any other truck in that year, condition and mileage I had looked at, but Mike said let me see how low we can go. So he took the price even lower for me. My lesson learned, next time I will call Mike Gannon first. Thanks MIke!

I have bought several cars in past from all over by agreeing on a price and traveling. In this case we agreed on price and, after traveling an hour, they changed the price and had a bag of all the old tricks. I can understand when there is discrepancy in pricing a vehicle over a long distance but not this way: They took $3000 off my trade and added $1000 to their vehicle (because they forgot to tell me they happened to just certify it). You might consider driving down the street to talk to these guys but DO NOT travel a good distance - waste of time.

I expected the experience to be horrible, but we worked with Mike Gannon and he was so kind, patient, and helpful that he made buying a car a pleasure and not at all stressful. Mike was very helpful, patient and not pushy. I contacted him about a jeep I found online. Even though it was not on the lot yet, he had it ready for us to test drive that night. Mike (salesman)did a great job. I am from St Louis and located the car (used) at this dealer in Bloomington. Took Amtrak and Mike picked me up at the station. Basically negotiated the purchase price using email, so essentially the deal was done upon final inspection and test drive. So I didn't have the back-and-forth negotiation, that was nice. Car only had 1 key so they are sending new fob/key. Only issue was closing the deal with finance mgr, had to wait about an hour to only sign a couple papers and hit the road. (I had financing already, so it was just paperwork) It was a little frustrating b/c I want to hit the road for 3 hr trip. If I lived in the area I would do business with them again.

Had a great experience working with Mike Gannon at Sam Leman Bloomington. He was able to find the car i was looking for and have it at his lot by the time I got off of work. He was quick to respond to all of my emails with the information needed and keep me updated on the arrival of the vehicle to his location. The loan process went smooth and the were great with our kids being there the whole time (ages 6 and 9). They went through the extended warranty information and understood when we denied. I have been places that have been nasty to us when we denied it in the past so this was a pleasant experience for us. I live about 45 minutes from the dealer so I don't have any info on the service department. We love our new Jeep and will not hesitate to go back.

When I went in to see Mike I told him exactly what I was looking for, and in minutes he had the car pulled up and ready for us to test drive. After the test drive I fell in love with the car and wanted to make sure on Monday I could come buy. To insure the car would still be there Monday mike let me take the car home for the weekend. When I returned the car Monday mike had the car washed and filled the gas tank. I had an overall great experience. I never once felt like Mike was trying to trick me into buying a car I didn't want. We will continue to use Mike as long as he works at Lemans!

I test drove a used car and informed them that it did not have heat. They agreed to repair the car. Returned 2 days later and drove the car and it was throwing some heat and they said they'd "flushed" it. Bought the car and the next day, no heat. Kept returning the car to them and they'd "flush" it and it would be lukewarm for a day, then no heat. They knew before I purchased the car that it needed to be repaired and agreed to do the repair but have done nothing so far but "flush" it.

This was the third car dealer we visited for this purchase and In our region, this dealer had the best inventory for the car we wanted. Our e-mail inquiry was promptly answered, the price quote was realistic and everything was ready when we showed up at the dealership a few days later. Victor, the young salesman, was very knowledgeable and a true car enthusiast (not just about this brand). We spent an enjoyable three hours trying out and driving the cars we were interested in and ogling a few of the fancy BMWs they also sell in a different part of the building. There was no pressure and no attempt to upsell. We had no trade-in and paid cash, so a minmal amount of haggling occurred. All in all, a very good experience in car land.

My experience at Sam Lemans was great. I dealt with Mike Gannon who was very professional and friendly. Look for him when buying there you wont be disappointed. He held the car for me because i wouldnt be able to make until the next day and when i got there the car already to go to be test drove. He took me on a long test drive so i was able to test the car out very well (some dealers ive been to only let you go around the block. There were some minor scuffs on the car and when i asked to have them removed he did not hesitate and his shop remove them right away. When negotiating the price they didnt budge to much but the car was already at a good deal. Overall my buying experience was great and will look for them when purchasing my next car.

Seth from sales contacted me almost as soon as I sent an email inquiry. He answered my questions and encouraged me to come take a look at the Chevy S-10 in which I was interested. My son and I went the next day. Seth met us at the site, answered our questions, was adequatedly, but not overly involved in our decision making process and then we came to a agree on a reasonable price. Worst buying experience of my life. I didn't realize at the time that they could bring cars from another location (Texas in this case) without any obligation to disclose major damage and previous lemon status because it was across state lines. The salesman was extremely helpful, until after I bought the vehicle and discovered it had major damage...no help then getting the issue resolved. I live in this vicinity and have since heard over 50 similar horror stories regarding Sam Lemen's questionable practices. They somehow mange to stay just this side of criminal activity. Never again, and my advice is to stay clear.

I bought a 2012 RAM 1500 Big Horn 4X4 from this dealer in late September 2012 and was extremely happy with the buying experience. Mike G. was great to work with through the entire process. I'd done a lot of homework going in and the price I paid and what I was given for my trade was spot-on to what I was expecting. (Price was even a little lower than my research.) In addition to being very personable and knowledgable about the RAM product line and the features of the vehicle I'd selected Mike also went out of his way to coordinate with the body shop, service department, and detailer so that I could get the bedliner, side steps, and remote starter installed all in one trip back to the dealership within a few days of purchase. He even made arrangements to install splash guards I requested at the very last minute. I can't say enough good things about Mike and Josh (finance) and recommend the dealership whole-heartedly. Everything went smoothly in the purchase and transaction. The only glitch was when I looked at the gas tank and found it was only half filled. Whenever I have purchased new automobiles or trucks from every other dealer, I always had a full gasoline tank when I left the dealership. I thought I would mention this when I received a follow-up phone call but all I received were emails.
