I loved the way my salesperson, Michael Dang, gave me on a fantastic deal on a lease for a 2015 Toyota Prius. Michael did his best to roll over the tire and wheel protection plan I had on a previous lease on a 2014 Corolla for my Prius which lowered my monthly payment. Moreover, Michael has given a exceptional deal on a 2020 Toyota Corolla SE. What I admired most from Michael was the way he treated me with respect as a buyer and human being. As long as I am still living, I will always have Michael Dang as my salesperson for a new car in the future, hopefully in 2023.

I worked with Ryan Dong on the purchase and Tamara on the financing. I like the non-haggling concept of the sale. I bought a used 2013 Toyota Sienna, very clean. Ryan explained all the new features of the van, I had an older Sienna previously. He also kept me in the loop as to how long the whole process was going to take since there were so many buyers that day. Working with Tamara on the loan was a breeze as well, as all the forms were digital - no more paper forms!I had to leave my truck their overnight since I couldn't drive both home. I have found a used Prius that matched my search, I called dealership, set an appointment the same afternoon with Ryan. We drove the car, explored options and everything was super smooth! I'd been looking for a CPO Prius for months, but had put off shopping because I dreaded the whole process. Last week I finally started calling around to dealerships to set up test drives. Most of the dealerships were good with pleasant people, but they didn't have the exact thing I was looking for; one dealership had a good option for me, but clearly wasn't committed to working with customers after the sale was complete. When I inquired with SF Toyota about test driving a few vehicles, I was immediately contacted by Guilherme "Gee" Gomez to set it up. Gee is absolutely everything you would want in a sales person. Patient (this is my first hybrid and he explained everything to me - twice!), helpful (there was something I didn't like about the car and he went above and beyond to resolve the problem), and willing to do whatever it takes for customers to feel comfortable about their purchase (I set up an independent pre-inspection of the car and Gee helped me get it to the mechanic). After the sale, he told me to get in touch any time if I have questions or a problem and followed up the next day to be sure I was satisfied with the purchase.I can't recommend Gee or SF Toyota highly enough. Their whole team is outstanding. Sure, I couldn't negotiate on the price, but it was already very fair, and I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks to buy from people who are committed to excellent customer service. I am one of those people who tend to keep cars forever, but when it is time for my next purchase, I will absolutely go to SF Toyota first.

Passed up no less than 10 dealerships that were closer, and even paid a bit more, but well worth it. No hassle, genuine customer service, lack of insufferable and meaningless salesmanship. Requested quote and actually received, a few emails and a couple of calls for details and on my way. Once there, car was ready for test drive, paperwork at the ready....couldn't have been simpler and easier and refreshing to deal with "normal" folks that took care of the basics and then some. All this after trying to buy a 4Runner from local dealers who couldn't bother to respond or whose management couldn't give any details until I would come down there and listen to nonsense about they wanted to earn my business, etc, but couldn't get past the sales seminar quotes.

Given the current stigma of car buying ranking up there with getting a tooth pulled. I found that working with Ryan Dong at the Van Ness location to be a breath of fresh air. I had intentions on a particular used Prius that was on their website so I phoned Toyota and Ryan answered the phone. He advised me that the car was available and was in great condition. Over the 25 years of buying vehicles, this was by far the easiest and fluid transaction for a vehicle I have every made! I made an online appointment to test drive a Prius C. Christina responded promptly. While the location was a little far away, the experience made it worth it. We drove the presidio where I got to test drive the car in a very exciting way... great views, lots of turns, hills, and variations so I got the real feel of the car. Christina was very helpful... they were fair, reasonable, and I never felt taken advantage of. Could I have tried to haggle and get a better deal? Who knows... but I didn't feel like I needed to because they gave me great savings and really fair value on my trade. I felt like I got an amazing car and a really great price! And the toyota care program was also a great added value.

I just bought a used Audi from there. Stephen, the Internet sales manager, took good care of me and was very friendly. I took the car on a short test drive as I know how they drive. Everything seemed good and so I proceeded to buy it. However one thing I didn't notice due to the general noise of the city was a strange rattle the car has between 2500-3000 rpm. You can't hear it when you're listening to the radio with the windows up... So now I get to figure that out and I'm disappointed in whoever inspects these cars before they sell them. If I were to do it again I'd take it to an independent and have it looked at before hand.

Through my driving life, I've dealt with over 8 vehicle purchases for myself and family/friends. I'm the car guy in my family so when it comes to purchasing a car, I'm usually a hawk at doing research for vehicle, features, pricing etc. Hands down San Francisco Toyota gave me the best deal and least hassle for my 2012 Sienna. In 2012 I was doing my research to pick one up for the wife after I had just moved to the west coast for a new job, my wife's lease was up on her corolla and we had 1.5 year old at the time and it was hard to get her in and out of the car seat. I looked at all minivans and was adamant about getting all wheel drive just in case we moved back to the east coast for snow and/or rain, also being a Muslim, it is against my religion to pay or take interest (similar to Orthodox Jews) and at the time there were incentives for 0% for 60 months on the Sienna. The Sienna was the only van to meet my criteria of all wheel drive and no interest. I lived in Santa Rosa at the time, about 1 hour north of San Francisco. I had started my job in end of April (the 30th I think) and started looking and calling around to all dealers that had the vehicle I was looking for in their inventory from Santa Rosa to San Francisco. All dealers quoted me different things for the same packages, San Francisco Toyota was the lowest, I was wary that they might be low-balling me because of laws in Cali that don't require them to honor an emailed quote, it has to be on paper. So I ask around other dealers quoted close but not the same. 2 weeks into my new job, my parents called me and informed me that my father who was diagnosed and operated on and treated for cancer for the past 9 years was going to be put in hospice care and that there was nothing else they could do for him. So I had to fly back to the east coast and put the vehicle purchase on hold. After 2 weeks being on the east coast and my father somewhat stabilizing after an intense first week in hospice I flew back to my new job. I got back in contact with the various dealers that had quoted me different prices and the one dealership I had contacted 2 weeks early in the same month changed their pricing and jacked it up on me telling me that demand went up. I followed up with San Francisco Toyota and Sabrina and Tani kept the same quote which was still the best quote I had received. I followed up with them and met them in person I had a rental car they kept their word on their price and they were extremely pleasant to deal with. Tani took me to return the rental car and shared with me his personal experience with a close relative's passing when I mentioned what i was dealing with and he was very supportive and understanding. It wasn't just a car deal, it was a great human experience with people that care that aren't out to rob you for you money and keep their word. I was so impressed that I had promised them a good review and more than 2 years later I am giving this review because of the impact they had. I have their magnet on my fridge even though it for the 2013 calendar year and everytime I look at it I remind myself that i have to get around to doing that review because I promised and because they made my life easier during one of the most difficult times of my life. I am thankful to God for putting them in my path and in case you're curious, I am also thankful to mention that my father lived till September of 2012. Recently San Francisco Toyota contacted me to purchase my Sienna back, but we moved back to the east coast earlier this year. If I buy another Toyota, I might still consider purchasing from them and shipping it just because of that great experience. Tani and Sabrina, thank you both for all of your help and support and for giving me a good deal and for keeping your word.

I found our 2013 Toyota Avalon online in November 2013 after watching for similar 2013 Avalons to appear on the Hertz site. We had used Hertz for several purchases and were happy with them to date, but the car we wanted was not becoming available. In extending our search the car at San Francisco Toyota Scion was comparable price, listed with better options and only 8k miles. This was about 10k miles less, at least, than the Hertz vehicles. The vehicle was listed as a single owner, but on investigation it turns out this was a shuttle/loaner car. This was disappointing. We did figure this out prior to going to San Francisco. We were planning on getting a previous rental so this was not a big deal, a single owner car just seemed like a much better deal. I asked specifically: Is there anything that I should be aware of with the vehicle before traveling that far? The response I received was no, there was nothing I should be aware of. So here we go: In the online add under "vehicle info" the advertisement had "remote engine start (PPO)" listed. We test drove the car and got back to the dealership when I asked how do we use the remote start we were informed it was not present on the vehicle. I explained this was listed as a PPO item and he said it must have been a mistake. It gets really cold here and this was a requirement of our final selection of vehicles. This was something our family had agreed upon and excluded many other makes and models of vehicles to arrive at the Avalon. Had this not been listed in the advertisement we would not have looked at this car. We were told we could add the OEM option for $600.Also, under the interior tab of the advertisement the vehicle was listed as having heated front bucket seats w/active headrests listed. I have a spinal fusion and this was another reason why we were going with a car that had this as a standard option. When I questioned how to turn the seat heaters we found the heated seats had been moved to the rear. We were told this car had the executive package. This was not listed in the online advertisement. This meant the seat heaters had been moved to the rear seats for customers to enjoy. Ryan stated we could add them aftermarket for about $1k plus tax. At this point I was wondering if I was looking at the right car. I was unable to pull the advertisement up on my phone while I was there. I was able to confirm the details of the listing later and that this was the car listed.In addition they stated there was a second key and that they were trying to locate it. Turns out it is $330 - 360 to replace without the emergency key and it was never produced it. I assume that it was resold after I signed the dotted line at this point. In addition the vehicle was listed as having a trunk bra which was not present. This is to hold in small amounts of items to keep them from rolling around. It was also listed as having mud flaps, I am not sure what that would have entailed but they are not present. We could not see it driving in the city but the windshield looks like it was cleaned with something abrasive as it has scratches over the entire surface, like steel wool was used, as well as extensive pitting for a car with only 8k miles in the city. We did take the car back and get the OEM remote start installed from them at 400+tax. This was not a huge savings since we had to drive the car 300 miles to drop the car off and 300 miles to pick it up. Something else that really just pissed me off after buying the car because of the advertisement that got us there, knowing I would not have done so otherwise. Overall, I have enjoyed the car itself. It is quite most of the time. There are some loose trim pieces that rattle from time to time, something I would not expect for the quality of car. I have some steep grades going to and from my home and it handles those very well with ample power. It did take me some time to get the sour taste out of my mouth for San Francisco Toyota Scion, but we enjoy the car. In the end I think car dealers are much like lawyers, you either have a very good experience or a very bad one and there is some luck involved. I read many reviews and expected a great experience and it was very far from it.

Both Jason and Michael were very nice on the used car side but when it was time to buy they won't budge on the price because they have a one price policy. I will say their customer service was decent. Also there's no customer parking so be prepared to park your car in their already cramped used lot.

I turned up SF Toyota online and went to check out their used car lot one Tuesday afternoon. Did not find the Lexus they had previously had, but was shown an Infiniti 2011, which we fell in love with. We quickly signed the paperwork, and salesman Michael promised to clean up the car and deliver it personally that evening, from SF to Oakland. Upon delivery, we realized there was only one key. Things started off well, Ryan was courteous and professional, so my initial impression was good. I went and test drove a car, which ended up being sold quickly before I could make payment arrangements in order to at least secure the vehicle. I then moved on and found another car to my liking whic Ryan confirmed was indeed available. I was supposed to come in for a test drive and give a deposit of $15,000. Ryan called me back and cancelled our appointment, saying that the car need some bumper touch up work at the body shop since it had been a city car. He said that he would let me know the next day as to when the car would be available to show and take out for a test drive, indicating that it would hopefully be that next day. The next day I hadn't heard from him so I decided to call and inquire about the status of this car. He said that he would try and find out and get back to me. This was at around 1:15 PM. I never heard back from him. Later that night I sent him an e-mail, saying that I didn't mean to be a bother, but I just wanted to know what was going on. Hours later that night, I received an e-mail from him saying that he was sorry but someone had bought the car sight unseen. I don't know who is responsible for this, but it reflects badly on this dealership, and I will spend my money elsewhere.

My girlfriend's 19 year old car was stolen. It was time to get a new one. We created a list of the cars we thought she might like. We were interested in the Prius c and a couple of Scion models. We visited SF Toyota to check out these vehicles. Stephen Prasompetch helped us with the test drive. He stayed well past the dealer's closing hour to allow us to drive each of the models we were considering. When the dust settled we decided on a Prius c. We decided to purchase the car from Stephen because we had such a positive experience working with him. Of course he wanted our business but there was absolutely no pressure to buy. He was simply there to assist us with the process (which he did magnificently). Stephen did a great job prepping the car for us. He personally detailed the car to make sure it was in pristine condition upon delivery. He did a great job configuring the technology package for us and showed us how to use it.I highly recommend that you visit Stephen if you are considering buying a Toyota.

I walked into San Francisco Toyota on 2nd and Geary two months ago thinking of purchasing a Camry Hybrid. Stephen Prasompetch. greeted me at the door, and I told him precisely what I was looking for- a solid car without the unnecessary bells and whistles. I dont have a need for the sunroof, the heated seats, the rear back-up camera, etc. Stephen understood what I wanted in a car and delivered. Just for this alone, I'd give a 5 star rating.I took delivery and drove away with a new Camry LE Hybrid the following week. The overall process was comfortable, friendly, and quick. The process was also straight forward and fair, and Stephen gave me great customer service, an extremely competitive price (I did my online homework), and clear answers to my questions about the car and its warranties. Would I work with Stephen at SF Toyota again? Absolutely.

I did everything wrong: I went to see a car without being fully prepared to buy it, AND I went on a Saturday. Really dumb. But I had an appointment to see the car, and I when I got there I was greeted immediately. We talked a bit, then I took the car out for a spin. It was a 2012 Prius with low miles, and while I had been thinking about replacing my old (2005) Prius with 150K miles, I wasn't quite prepared to actually buy the thing. Or so I thought. It took time (it was SATURDAY and everyone and their sister was shopping for a car!) but ultimately I was offered a decent trade-in amount for my banged up 2005 Prius. I planned to pay partly in cash and partly financed by my credit union, but it was SATURDAY and the credit union was closed. No worries! The finance manager had access to my credit union's system, and was able to set me up with financing on the spot. By the time we were done (2.5 hrs later), I needed to go home, clean out my car, and bring it back. But it was late, so the sales manager followed me home in my new-to-me car. I cleaned out the car, got the pink slip, traded keys, and voila! I have a new(ish) car! All around, a great experience. This is the third time I've bought from SF Toyota and I will for sure go back again.

i wanted to buy a Prius but needed some hand holding to get me comfortable with my purchase, the options, is it best for me etc. I went to the Toyota on Van Ness and it wasn't a very good experience. I had to wait for anyone to talk to me and when I did talk to them they just gave me a print out of a what a new car would cost. Not helpful. I decided to go to other car manufactures and explore other hybrid brands. I went to 3 other places but my mind kept coming back to the Prius. Avoiding the Van Ness location I went to the dealer on Geary. And they were great there. All of them. Alex Tsan was AWESOME and really went out of his way while not being pushy. and I bought a Prius which i am very happy about. so THANK YOU!

I visited multiple dealerships looking for the "best deal" on my new Toyota Prius... but it turned out that the one right here in San Francisco not only gave me a great price that I couldn't refuse, but they also had the nicest, most knowledgable, and least "salesy" sales staff of all the dealerships I visited. Alex Tsan was our guy. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He was just so great... taking us on multiple test drives in the different models, and meanwhile never putting on the "high pressure / you have to buy today to get this or that deal" sales pitch. In fact, we liked working with him so much that even though they didn't have the exact model we wanted in stock, or the lowest price... we felt loyal and wanted to give him our business, so we asked him if they could match a price from another dealership and get the exact car we wanted. The manager agreed, and a few days later I was driving home in my brand new shiny Prius! I LOVE my car. I also love knowing that we now have a relationship with San Francisco Toyota, and that they will be taking care of my car over the next several years to come. As cheesy as this may sound, I actually feel like they "care" and really stand behind the product and want everyone to be completely happy with their purchase. I definitely am!

My '94 Volvo 850 Turbo got "crunched" by a careless driver so, I was in the market for a replacement. Despite the long distance, transaction was executed flawlessly. I called Tyler on a Friday, made all the arrangements. We went and got our 2013 Prius here at SF Toyota. Our experience was great. Ryan and Sam who helped us through our purchase were always courteous and very helpful in answering questions regarding the car. We negotiated pretty much over email and had a few phone conversations to finalize the deal. On the pick-up day, we came to within 45min of closing, but both Ryan and Sam never rushed things over. I live near Sacramento and used cars.com to search a 75-mile radius for the car and features I was interested in purchasing. I found the exact car I was looking for at SF Toyota, and at a very good no-haggle price. The salesman I worked with, Sunny P., was very responsive and answered my questions honestly during my initial email and phone inquiries. He even took emailed photos of my trade-in to his boss for an estimated offer so that I could know up front what to expect. Since I couldn't make it to SF Toyota until the next morning, Sunny called me at the close of business the night prior to confirm that the car was still available before I made the 2-hour drive from Sacramento to SF. Upon my arrival the next morning, Sunny immediately greeted me, he showed me the features of the car and we took it for a drive. When we returned, I received a firm offer on my trade-in that was exactly the same as the figure we had discussed over the phone. Milly in Finance was a pleasure to work with as well! The whole buying process was so much easier than I've experienced with most dealerships in the past. It was definitely worth the 4-hour round trip drive, not only for the first-class treatment I received from the SF Toyota staff, but I also saved thousands over comparable cars offered by Toyota dealers in the Sacramento region. As an added bonus, we got to spend the rest of the day in beautiful San Francisco. Thank you Sunny and Milly! P.S. The Certified Prius I bought is very comfortable to drive, and I averaged 50.6 miles per gallon on my first tank of gas, even with 90% of my commute being freeway, and I don't drive it in the slow lane. love this car!

I came into the dealership thinking that I may want to buy a Toyota but working with Chris made me want to buy a vehicle from him. I know that Toyota's are excellent cars but working with Chris was the selling point for me. I was very nervous buying a new car on my own, but Chris calmly walked me through the whole process. I trust that if I have any issues or problems with my car I would have no hesitation to call Chris with complete confidence he would solve the problem. You have an outstanding employee!!!! I didn't feel comfortable rating customer service (therefore NA), even though Chis was excellent. I feel that I just purchased the car, and for me, customer service is ongoing and is more the service you get after you buy the car.

Byron was very patient throughout the sales process itself and afterwards he spent over an hour giving me orientation about the features of my new Prius V. I've bought only about five cars in my lifetime and this was the first time anyone spent time with me to help familiarize me with my new car. He's very knowledgeable about how to operate all the features and even offered to help me set up my new car with a smart phone in the future when I decide to buy one. She worked very hard on my behalf and was very professional. She explained many of the features of the car to me and allowed my wife and I to take it on a very long test drive. The car was prepared for me very quickly and was in immaculate condition. The price of the car was the lowest in the San Francisco Bay Area I could find on the internet. Mitch was patient as he explained the features of the car, the differences between the various Prius models, and what customers did (and did not necessarily) like about the Prius. He took the time to answer all of our questions and really demonstrate the great features of the car, without making any hard sell. Both Mitch and Mike, the Sales Manager, provided us with quotes in the exact format we requested. When we left the dealership, they were friendly and encouraged us to shop around. When we shared the terms of a deal we were offered elsewhere, they happily worked to provide a better deal. John Horton met us and introduced us to Gil Wever, who put us in the capable hands of Melissa Chiu. She went with us test driving two different models, explaining all about each car. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We decided on the Toyota Camry SE, but they didn't have the color we wanted. No problem! After having an unpleasant experience at another Toyota dealership (they refused to give me information because my husband was not there) I went to the San Francisco dealership. Both Victor Kim and Russ Mobley were extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. I wanted a very specific Avalon hybrid, and after searching the West Coast for it, Russ then ordered one to be built for me. He e-mailed updates on the progress from the day the car was made to the cross county shipping progress. The car came from Kentucky more quickly than expected, and the dealership got it to me right away. Victor was extremely helpful in trading in my older Avalon, and when the new car came, he explained all the bells and whistles. The atmosphere at the dealership was friendly and low key, with no sense of pressure-not the typical "I hate car salesmen" experience at all! I currently live in Washington and I bought a black pearl Corolla LE at San Francisco Toyota because the prices were so much better. I used Consumer Reports to get quotes from three dealerships in the San Fran area. San Fran Toyota was the most competitive and seemed to have the best inventory. The negotiation was completed mostly over email and text with Sabrina Shia (La). She was very responsive and customer-oriented. When Toyota announced a customer loyalty cash rebate after I had already made a deposit on the car, Sabrina contacted me and asked if I currently owned a Toyota (which I do). She included the rebate in the final price when I picked up the car. The dealership seems to have a good honest feel rather than the traditional "used car salesperson" atmosphere. As an example, there were no pressure tactics when meeting with the Business Manager for additional add-ons (extended warranty, window etching, etc). I would absolutely consider buying a car through this dealership again. Keep up the good work Sabrina and San Fran Toyota!

As this was to be my first automobile purchase, I did an extensive amount of personal research and some soul searching before I decided. I do not have money to throw around and wanted to be sure to get a good deal, but I also did not want a vehicle I would regret buying. I heard great things about Toyota and especially the hybrid Prius model. I did some online research on the fuel economy and safety features of the Prius and found I could afford the Prius C. Next I looked at the creature comforts: seats, navigation, audio, moonroof, power amenities, etc. When I felt ready, I reviewed the Toyota official website to find Sammy Lee. I emailed Sammy, and he responded right away. That showed his enthusiasm to help me. I met him to see Prius C models and test drove a C 3. Sammy explained the difference between C 3 and C 4 which helped me decide on the C 4. His patience with all my questions made the sales experience easy and relaxing. Sammy even laughed at my jokes, which is always a plus in my book. After deciding on the vehicle, Sammy helped me decide on financing. I asked him to calculate how much the total cost of the vehicle would be if i paid cash or financed for 60 months. Once again his patience made the process pain free. I now have my first automobile, and it is economic, safe and fun. My experience with Sammy and his dealership was pleasant and rewarding. I would highly recommend Sammy and his dealership to anyone who wants a great car at a great price.

My son studies in University of Illinois. He told me he needs car for errands and work in the doctor's office. I have a 2006 Honda pilot and is capable to tackle the weather over there. Working with Tani Tritasavit was great; he was personable and made the process stress free. I never enjoyed dealing with dealers (negotiating on price, pushy/cocky sales person, etc); however, Tani was very patient, never pressured us, and gave us the best price without having to negotiate (which I compared on my smartphone). My wife and I were debating between a Highlander and 4Runner, and Tani listened and understood our concerns. He provided great information that addressed our concerns, which helped us decide on the Highlander. Tani was able to find a Highlander with our "must-haves" and more while keeping the price within our budget. On the test drive, Tani took us through a route that allowed me to "really" test the vehicle's performance/handling. Overall, I was glad we were able to work with Tani and would recommend family/friends to him who are looking to buy a Toyota.

Ryan Dong is the reason I went to this dealership. My boyfriend recently bought a 2013 Camry from Ryan. I read the emails they exchanged and met Ryan when my boyfriend went to pick up and buy the car. Ryan was professional, responsive, helpful, and friendly throughout the process. Of course, it also helped that his price beat out at least two other dealerships in the Bay Area. I have been shopping for a car for a little over a year and was discouraged by the misinformation and sleaze factor at the other dealerships. Meeting Ryan was like a breath of fresh air. Actually, the whole dealership is a breath of fresh air. The whole team seems to value customer service. Yes, that's right. They care about the customers.I wanted a white Camry with ivory interior. The evening when I declared this, there was only one left in the Bay Area that fit all of my specifications, so Ryan arranged to have it driven to SF the next day. This one didn't quite work out. Instead of talking me into buying it anyway (which I'm sure the other dealers would have done in an attempt to make a fast buck), Ryan volunteered to get another white/ivory Camry for me so that I will be perfectly happy with my expensive purchase. He was able to locate another car but it didn't quite fit my specifications: It has a wheel lock that I didn't want. Rather than charging me for it (which other dealers would have done), Ryan threw it in for free just so that I can have my perfect white/ivory Camry. Now THAT's the action of an empowered employee who understands the meaning of customer satisfaction.When I went to purchase the car, there were no last-minute surprises of any kind. Ryan was straightforward and honored the original price we agreed to. The finance guy, Phillip, didn't try to squeeze in the usual extras. And lastly, it was really nice that the manager, Russ, came by to greet and congratulate me on the purchase.Buying a car is probably the second most stressful purchase you can make in your life (home purchase being the first). Ryan certainly made this experience pleasant. Oh, and did I mention how happy I am with my new white Camry? :)Epilogue: Ryan called today to make sure I don't have any questions about the car. He did a pretty good job showing me how to use the various tech features in the car the day I picked it up, so I don't have any questions so far. But boy, it sure feels nice to know that you aren't left in the dust right after you drive the car off the lot.

We were referred to Tani by our brother in law whom had purchased two new Prius's a month earlier. My husband and I thankfully had a wonderful experience purchasing our first new car, a Toyota Prius V Five. At first we were looking at the Prius V Three as we thought it would adequately meet our needs and preferences. We were happily introduced by Tani to the Prius V Five (without the advanced technology package). The added features of Softec seats (versus the fabric seats in the Three), as well as larger 17" tires were desirable added features to us. Tani was personable and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. He never tried to up-sell us to purchase the Five over the Three, however he listened and got to know us a little bit and realized we might want to consider the Five which turned out to be the perfect fit for us once we took a look at it. We appreciate the ease of dealing with Tani, whom was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had. The experience was quick, seamless, and essentially stress free, which we owe to the exceptional customer service provided by Tani, and the SF Toyota dealership. This was the second dealership I approached while looking to trade in my 2010 Subaru Forester towards a new 2013 4WD 4D Toyota Tacoma. The first dealer I approached offered what I felt to be an extremely unfair trade-in value for my car (relative to Kelly Blue Book's "good" condition trade in value). Ryan immediately offered me a better price on the new truck, and was able to negotiate a much fairer trade-in on my old vehicle. Overall service was very friendly and generally well informed. I added on leather seats (non-factory option), and the turn-around on that was pretty quick (3 full business days). Overall, I'm very pleased with the vehicle and service I got. It would have been nice if I could have talked the price down a bit more, but that's a bit to be expected with a high-demand vehicle like a Tacoma.

I been leasing Lexus, BMW, Acura, Mercedes for over 15 years. Finally wanted to get a Prius. I been to other Toyota dealerships, has just been treated badly, specially the one, not to mention any names, in Daly City *_-. Initially thinking must be the brand thing, since I been so used to the "Luxury" brand treatment, where there's coffee/tea and most importantly sale people that dress professionally and treat customer courteously. At the Daly City dealership, the sales people were okay, but their management staff was rude, demeaning, try to make you feel they are doing you a favor by selling me a prius at a slightly discounted price. I didn't agree with their offer, not even trying to counter, their "manager" just up and left, without saying a word. Even as a customer I wouldn't up and leave. At the least, apologize and say "sorry looks like we can't agree on a price, if you change your mind come back" So arrogant, disrespectful, and unprofessional. No wonder the auto sales industry has a bad name. I was so disappointed I was going to go back and lease a Lexus Hybrid. I was just happeed to drive by San Francisco Toyota the next day, still had the bad taste in my mouth, had no intention to buy the prius anymore. But somehow decided to "see" what they had. When my wife, kid and I enter the showroom, it was clean, warm and the first person that greeted us, his name is Tani, was courteous, no pressure, and was genuinely interested in make sure we are happy, answer all our questions without ever saying " will you buy the car today?" "can I get you a deal today/" " you want to drive the prius home today" I don't think the word "today" is in his vocabulary. When we did talk numbers, he didn't say or make you feel, are you crazy for asking for a discount? Simply, he said I'll see what I can do. I told him honestly I didn't want to talk numbers that day because we didn't expect to stop in and had other obligation. We email and spoke over next few days, and agree on a price that I thought was a great deal without even trying to do any real haggling. Got the car we wanted fresh off the truck. I would highly recommend SF Toyota and Tani. I been to their service department too since I got the prius, people there was great too. They did make a mistake but fixed it promptly. This is how a great dealership should be run. Kudos to management on a well run, customer oriented organization.

When I went in to test drive the car, Melissa was not there, but Tani took care of me. He was very professional and was very "no pressure". I first did a test drive of Prius III with Sammy, who answered all my questions and gave me useful advice about Prius features and specifics of different trims. Thanks to him, I decided to go with Prius Persona (instead of Prius III) and I am really happy about my choice. Then I talked to Ryan about pricing and really quickly got the price that I wanted. Most of that was done via email, which worked great for me since I cannot always answer my phone. There was no "come here and we'll talk about it" crap that you get from some other dealers. For me, the experience of finding a vehicle had been long, difficult and stressful. For 6 weeks, we had combed the internet, gone to several dealerships, as well as meeting up with a few sellers in the private sector. Besides each vehicle not being quite the "perfect" car, i.e. wrong color; high mileage; not the options we wanted (moon-roof in particular), we encountered some pretty sketchy characters and selling styles. Each time we left discouraged and confused (being pressured to buy something else that was "good enough" or way out of our price range0. From the minute I contacted San Francisco Toyota, my whole experience turned from a nightmare to a dream! Ryan emailed me within minutes (while I waited for two days for another dealership to call me back about a particular car). Once he located the car, he called me back to confirm that the vehicle was in stock and detailed, and to arrange an appointment. Another email confirmation the day before we were set to arrive (still waiting tor this other dealership to call me about what seemed to be a duplicate car...) We were concerned about traveling far to see this car (from the North Bay) but it was well worth it. Although Ryan was not available to meet with us, he had arranged for Steven to show us the car, and take us for a test drive. He answered all our questions and then let us be...no pressure, just allowing us to make a decision. The financial process, which can be arduous, was pleasant and smooth. Ryan & I have talked several times since the transaction as well (we have a little bit of a learning curve with the technology of the Prius, but he keeps answering my questions without hesitation). Throughout the experience, Ryan, Steven & Phillip were kind, polite, respectful, and knowledgable. We were glad to being doing business at a dealership with principles and high standards for customer satisfaction. Definitely go to San Francisco Toyota to buy a car!

He was always very quick to respond to all of my questions (he even texted me a response to a question I sent him at 10pm on a Saturday night!). The original quote he sent me was the exact price I paid. They did not have the color I wanted onsite, so he arranged for it to be transported over to the SF dealership next day even though it was over 100 miles away. Thank you Ryan for a great car-buying experience!I do have one piece of advice regarding the financing: If you are financing the whole purchase, I recommend against purchasing the gap insurance they offer for $600+. My own insurance company offered the gap insurance for only about $1/month!

After car shopping for a couple of days I found what I was looking for on cars.com located at Toyota San Francisco. I was told they do not negotiate but the car was reasonably priced so I wanted to head up and take a look. It was about 4:00 on a Saturday and when I told "Chris" I'd be heading up but that it would take me over an hour to get there, he promptly told me they close at 6 and that I should just come the next day. I was kind of surprised by that because I figured normally car sales personal wanted your business. I told him I'd like to come up that day and he told me to hold on because one of his sales associate was talking to someone who was also interested online. I let him know that I had originally been talking to a "Melissa" online but then just decided to call. So he told me to just come in and ask for her.I drove to San Francisco from Fairfield with a 10 month old baby. The driving process was horrible as I got off the freeway in San Fran with only 6 miles to go, in which took me over a half hour (don't know how people can handle that traffic on a daily basis... props to you). Anyway, my baby screamed pretty much the last 30 minutes of the ride, when I got there I was so happy to be out of the car. I came in and asked for Melissa and was taken by her to high bar stool tables. I asked her if they had a play room we could go to so that the baby would be entertained and she informed me that they didn't have one (all other dealerships at least had a play area for kids), since the chairs were so high I ultimately had to put my son on the floor to play with rocks (which I guess is what "all the kids play with when they come". I didn't even want/need to test drive the van because I knew I wanted it and had driven others. I had a trade in, but I had only paid it off the week before. Chris had said that wouldn't be a problem. They only offered me $11500 for my Honda which after going to numerous dealerships that this was the lowest I was offered out of all. Still no other dealerships that I had been looking into had the car I wanted so I chose to proceed. After filling out a crap load of paperwork and trying to juggle my baby, I was told by the manager Russ that we couldn't close the deal because he wanted to call to verify that my car had indeed been paid off. That was a bit strange to me because no other dealerships had an issue and I was able to proove that it had been paid off by logging into my account or calling. But whatever, I was tired of trying to do it all with the baby and it was getting late. He told me he would hold the car until Monday when he could call. So I left and drove another horrible hour and a half home with crying baby.Sunday rolls around and my husband isn't understanding what the issue with the paperwork is so he calls and was told to print something out that shows we paid off the car. Our printer wasn't working so we had to drive to his moms and also found a sitter so we could go to SF without the kids. Melissa asked me to text her a pic of the paperwork in which I did. She then told me to just wait until Monday. When I told her that I didn't have a sitter and didn't want to deal with bringing the baby again, she told me to let her know if things changed.My hubby and I drove around all day Sunday looking at minivans again and at the end of the day, I still liked the one at Toyota SF the best. I text Melissa and told her I still wanted it and that I'd be in the next AM to get it. She responded that her manager would call me and asked if I could come in Tuesday - Thursday. I told her I had school those days. I felt at this point they didn't want my business or cash. I mean we were paying $9000 in CASH and the rest was my trade in which was a good car! When I told her no, she didn't respond until 9am in the morning.She text me at 9 am "Good morning, can you go to the bank and get a cashiers check for the amount. Can you make it in at 10am? Also clean out the accord. Thanks, Melissa". WOW>>>>> I can't believe she text me that at 9 AM like I owed her something! Clearly it takes me over an hour to get there as I told her before and second, she told me the manager would call me before I came in. I immediately text her back and asked for the general managers name in which her response was "I am off today but going in to help you so please let me know if you can make it in at 10-1030 am." I was shocked and told her not to worry about it, that I was disgusted with the whole process.I called the general manager Doug and he told me he was very sorry, and that they would deliver the minivan to me with all paperwork. But I was already over doing business with them. Too bad I couldn't have just dealt with Doug the entire time. Melissa and Russ have made sure that my family, friends or I will ever do business with Toyota of SF.Happy to report I ended up with the exact minivan 20k lower miles at cheaper price at Eliasmotors in Hayward the same day!!!

They even picked me up from my apartment and drove me to their dealership so I wouldn't have to take public transportation to pick up my car! Our experience working with SF Toyota was fantastic. Working with Ryan Dong and the rest of the team at SF Toyota made the car buying experience more like a pleasant daydream rather than the stressful nightmare we all know it could be. After a phone call and a couple email exchanges with Ryan, my wife and I found ourselves saying yes to the purchase of a new Highlander. Ryan was able to give us a great price and made the whole process so easy. It took about a week or so to have the car delivered to the dealership, but in the meantime he provided us with all the necessary information to begin the insurance process, credit check and also gave us all the specs making us all the more excited for the delivery date. Upon delivery, Ryan informed us that the car was ready and that we could pass by at any time to finish up the paper work and drive our new ride home. The day we picked it up, we entered SF Toyota and were welcomed by smiling faces as well as our Highlander, front and center in the showroom. Ryan went over the initial paperwork with us and then he handed us over to Phil who went over some detailed information and of course more paperwork. :) Phil was also great to work with. He was personable and genuine and was upfront with all the details regarding warranty and added services. It truly felt like he was on our side. After we finished all the paperwork, Ryan even took some time to introduce us to our new Highlander. We unfortunately didn't have time for the full tour, but he showed us all the few major features and also give us some tips on how to really take advantage of all the car's capabilities.In a nutshell we were given a great price and great service. That's all anyone really wants especially when you're about to spend a pretty penny. The next time I'm in the market for a new car, Ryan and SF Toyota will definitely be at the top of my list.

I went into the Van Ness showroom to take a look at a new family commuter car and was greeted by a very nice and easy going salesman named Ryan Dong. Ryan took me around the showroom showing me my options. It came down to a Prius or Camry so we took both out for a test ride. I had a ton of questions about both cars and what choices I had in options. Ryan explained all of my options and all of the features for both cars. There were a ton of options for both cars but after talking with Ryan we figured out what was best me. I settled on a Camry SE Limited and couldn't be happier. Ryan went the extra mile after all of the paper work to get my iPhone working with the new eTunes which allows you to use your cell phone as a hot spot for apps which are loaded on the touch screen navigation. Ryan even called me a week after the purchase to follow up and see how the car was running and if I needed additional help with any of the features. I highly recommend SF Toyota, Ryan Dong and Toyota.

He was caring, courteous, patient and most importantly very honest and upfront. What made me choose working with Ryan was not only the excellent care for the client but also his 100% honesty about all the costs whereas I had car dealers from other dealerships just give me *fake* low prices, lying about disposition/car return fee being included in the 1-pay (paid upfront for 24 months) price of the leased car. Also did I mention that SF Toyota gave me the BEST price out of all the dealerships in Bay Area? So once more if you want somebody to give you the best deal, genuinely care and be honest with you work with Ryan Dong. He and his team: Phil Yue, Business manager and Michael La, Sales manager worked together as a team giving me their 110%. They all cared and made a genuine personal connection with me. A car lease from SF Toyota was a truly wonderful experience where Ryan, Phil and Michael made it as painless as possible...actually they made it a really fun and positive experience. I felt really well taken care of before the sale, during and afterwards (Ryan contacted me already few times to make sure that I'm comfortable with my new car and he's there available to help even though he already made a sale). I have a very pleasant experience in purchasing a Prius Persona on last Saturday from Ryan Dong. I started communicate with him by internet quoting a week ago. Ryan was the most responsive dealer to call back,e-mail and answering all my questions. After scheduling an appointment to view the car, he explained all the details of the car. I actually aimed to get a Prius 3 but ending up to get a better grade Prius Persona. Ryan has been all the way without pushing but with patience to introduce the difference of the two models to me. I am so happy to have my new black cherry Prius Persona back home. He also did follow up calls and encouraged me to seek for solution from him if I found any problem in driving the new car since there are lots of high tech functions. If there can be such thing as a "great experience" buying a car, than this was as close to it as I will probably see in my lifetime. After researching cars online and at other dealerships, my husband and I decided on a Toyota Highlander. At our first Toyota dealership (see my Putnam Toyota review), we were not able to come to an agreement. So, home we went to look for the exact car that we couldn't get and try to locate it. I did a search for Toyota dealerships in the greater Bay Area. There are many! Most had instant chat, which is great. I chatted with 4 of them and nobody had the color and options that we were looking for. At 3:30pm, New Year's Eve, I was giving it one last shot with San Francisco Toyota. I "chatted" with Nicole and told her exactly what I was looking for and wanted to buy something today (sales tax was going up 1/2% on Jan. 1, 2013). She asked for my email or phone number so the sales manager could talk to me regarding specifics. Michael La phoned me from SF Toyota and immediately I was at ease. He asked about my previous experience at other dealerships and how he hoped he could help me. He stated that while he didn't have the exact color interior I was looking for, the price may change my mind. Well, he was right! My husband and I decided to go ahead and drive into the City (at 4pm on NYE) to look at the car and see if we could "settle" on a different color interior. When we got to the dealership, Michael told me the car was on it's way from the other showroom on Geary and could we wait about 10 minutes. About 15 minutes passed and he came over and explained that they were having trouble locating the car and most likely had been sold during our drive up from San Mateo. While disappointed, we just figured it wasn't meant to be (especially because the interior color was not our first choice).During the wait time for the Highlander, Michael had our car appraised for a trade in. While it wasn't exactly what we hoped for, it was way more realistic than what the other dealership had offered. When the Highlander didn't show up, he felt so bad about us driving up there, he upped the trade-in and began his search for another Highlander.Success! Michael was able to find us a car (albeit in South Lake Tahoe) with all the options AND the preferred color interior. So, at 5:30pm on New Year's Eve, we started the paperwork for the new car. At this point, the dealership was empty. Even though I felt horrible about doing paperwork so late, everyone made us feel at ease. We finished with everything a little after 7pm.In all, we dealt with 3 people at SF Toyota. Michael La, Sammy Lee and Phil (sorry, don't know last name) the finance manager. They were all excellent! So personable, knowledgable and most of all, helpful!The one downside to the dealership is that there is no play area/kids room. We had to bring our 3 year old with us and that made it difficult to complete the process.

This was for me an unexpectedly pleasant experience in buying a used car last weekend.I arranged by phone with Sales Consultant Ryan Dong to evaluate a couple of cars I was considering for purchase that I found on-line. When I left home Saturday morning, I did not expect to actually purchase the car that day. Frankly, I was not looking forward to dealing with a dealership and had preferred to purchase from a private party. But I had been unable to find the car I wanted and so resigned myself to what I feared would be a high pressure and potentially deceptive sales pitch.I was pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite. Ryan was helpful, well informed, and low key. He listened to what I wanted and tried to be helpful. I didn't buy the car I came to see but instead another of the same make, model and year but with fewer miles and Toyota certification. It cost more but he provided sufficient information to convince me that it was worth extra money. I never felt any pressure to make a hurried decision or to make an impulse purchase.I am delighted with the car and with the sales experience and commend Ryan for his professionalism and assistance. His business card says he is a Sales Consultant. "Consultant" is an apt description.

I bought online though USAA - the process was easy and quick. Sam was our salesperson; he was extremely responsive, very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and made sure that we knew the ins-and-outs of the vehicle before leaving. There was no hard up-sell on any additional features, no haggling, and no pressure of any kind. They respected the fact that I knew what I wanted. The entire process took less than 90 minutes, of which probably 30 minutes was spent inspecting and learning about the car. I bought my first car in 1984, this was hands down the most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had. I would definitely recommend them, and will definitely consider them first in the future even though they aren't the closest dealer to me in the South Bay.

But, more then anything, Francisco's no pressure sales approach allowed me to really spend time with the car and experience it under real life driving conditions. Kudos to Jayson, Edwin, and the finance team for making my experience top notch. The whole SF Toyota team has great personalities. Jayson is very knowledgeable, does not pressure you in buying a vehicle, and makes you feel right at home. It felt like we knew each for a long time. My wife and I ended up buying a 2010 Prius Package V. Their pricing is very competitive. I have been researching a 50 mile radius for the same vehicle and SF Toyota came back with the lowest pricing. Jayson's customer service from start to delivery is beyond expectations. Take my word for it. It was so great I ended buying another vehicle (2011 Sienna) from Jayson the next week. Poor guy, we kept Jayson beyond his shift for both purchases. Never did he rush to get us out the lot. He took the time to explain and answered all our questions. The van wasn't my primary chose but after driving around different lots and comparing the Highlander we accidentally stumbled on the Sienna and got sold on it. Jayson took the time to show me all the features and man these vans have become more advanced. It was perfect for my family. SF Toyota is where you want to shop and buy. You won't be disappointed. I enjoyed the complimentary gourmet coffee and tea.

We just purchased our 5th Toyota (1997 Camry, 2000 Sienna, 2005 Tundra, 2007 Camry Hybrid, and 2012 Camry Hybrid) in 15 years at the same dealership: San Francisco Toyota Scion. It has always been important to us that we do not feel pressured to buy during our search for a new car and this dealership respects our wishes. Their service department, used car lot, and showroom are all within a block of each other, making it easy to move between them. They have a large inventory of used cars, and new cars are showcased in the showroom and adjoining lot, with more at their nearby warehouse. This last purchase experience was just as great as our first: staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. A big thank you to Tommy, Kevin, Jaysen, and Donald for taking such good care of us during our latest purchase.We also have our cars and truck serviced at this location. Their service is excellent and we are very comfortable with the costs. They pride themselves on providing the best customer service possible and request feedback by email after each visit. They seem to have little turnover of staff, so we are frequently greeted by name. (They also have great coffee in the waiting room!)

Ryan is so professional, courteous and friendly that he made the decision to get a new Prius a no-brainer. Yes, I like Toyotas, but I didn't walk in to the dealership with the intent to purchase. I love working with Ryan. He's super cool and he really gets to know you while selling your car. Totally great salesman. The only thing I didn't like was that I wish he was taking care of everything throughout the whole buying process. I had to buy another car because of a traumatic event, and I would rather have the person I called to help me than another employee. I spent a lot of time talking to Ryan about it and it would have been more comfortable if he handled the paperwork with me.

This is a new type of Toyota vehicle, yet it is very familiar and easy to drive. Russ Mobley smoothed the way for delivery and charging at home. My experience at SF Toyota was great. Once we figured out the model for me, Francisco worked very hard to get the car transferred to the store and helped to get me great pricing on monthly payments. Because the car was delivered around 7PM to the dealership, it wasn't detailed, so they offered one to me on the house down the road.After driving the car for a couple of weeks, something spilled onto one of the seats and a car had hit my back bumper, popping a panel out of place. Seemed like the right time for a detail! They completely cleaned out the mess on the seat, buffed the paint, popped out the dent and reattached the panel. The car looks brand new again. Super friendly folks from sales to service. Also, I love my new car.

This is our 4th Prius, and our 4th from SF Toyota, so you know we think they're a good dealership. Everyone was friendly and helpful and Jake Lake was terrific. He knew all about the Prius C and was thorough in explaining all the nuances of the C and the GPS. He was quick to find an answer if he didn't know it(how to switch from Kilometers to miles. He offered multiple times to help me anytime with the GPS and the radio. He made follow up phone calls several times after we bought the car to make sure everything was going OK. The dealership was very generous in allowing us ample time to get our money in the bank, while letting us take possession of the car we chose.And they are very dog friendly, with bones and treats.

I have never bought or even test drove a Toyota until now. I was interested in purchasing a smaller vehicle, since my 10 year old Honda minivan was guzzling a bit too much gas for my liking. I initially went to the Colma Toyota to narrow down what vehicle I wanted. I would've purchase a car there if they were not constantly calling me almost everyday and their salesmen there had no email assigned to them to communicate personally which is my preferred method of communication. I had a friend who bought a Prius C from SF Toyota who stated that there were no sales pressure at all. I went to SF Toyota with my two minor children and believe me, I was nervous since I never bought a car by myself. As soon as I step into their lot, Sales Consultant Chris Brunson, approached me without the oozing of used car salesman, and asked if he could help me. I told him that I was thinking about a Prius or a Camry Hybrid. Immediately he asked if I wanted to test drive the cars to determine which one I like. He was patiently answering all my questions. At the end I thanked him and told him that I need to take it all in and figure out which car I preferred. There was absolutely no pressure from him to buy their car or rushed me to make a decision. I told him that it is refreshing not to feel pressured and he said he believed that it is his job to educate the consumer as best as he can and let the consumer decide on their own since it is a big purchase. I ended up with a Prius2 with 0% interest for 3 years and I LOVE it. I bought the car at the end of August. Do your homework on pricing first if you want the best deal possible.

I didn't want to sit in dealership for hours on end agreeing haggling so being able to have the price set before I arrived really saved time & stress. I am going on 73 so I have driven a lot of different cars in my life. I have have driven and owned everything from a VW to a Cadillac. I have purchased nine new cars and ten used cars since I was 17. I also traveled a lot when I was working and rented many different cars. The best car that I have ever owned was a 2003 Toyota Corolla LE. Not the biggest. Not the most powerful. Not the nicest finish. Certainly not the most luxurious. Just the best value and the most dependable. In the nine years that I drove it, and before an SUV rear ended me and totaled the car, I never had ANYTHING mechanically break or go wrong with it. Nothing! Needless to say. I am big on Toyota. Still, when recently looking for a new car I did consider alternatives to Toyota. I spent many hours researching and reading reviews on-line. I also went to other dealers to look at and test drive their cars. But Toyota, in my mind offered the best car for my money. Finally, I rented a new Camry SE for a week. I loved almost everything about it. I have just purchased my new 2012 Camry and I love it. What a great upgrade from the Corolla that I liked so much!This is the third time that I have purchased a car from San Francisco Toyota. The internet sales rep is Sabrina La. She is patient and really listens to what you want. They didn't simply try to sell me what they had in stock. They searched to find exactly the car that I wanted. Went 175 miles to get it. I couldn't be more pleased with the deal that I got and would highly recommend this dealer. No sales pressure and willing to negotiate the price that I wanted to pay.

After two years of trying to convince my wife that a Sienna would be the best next vehicle for our family, we ended up having a third kid and thus ended up at our neighborhood Toyota dealer.This wasn't by coincidence though - we looked extensively online at dealerships throughout the state and found that SF Toyota had consistent positive reviews on service and price so we thought "why not go local".I called in and made my first introduction to Andre Norman Jr. A very knowledgeable and responsive guy who accommodated our crazy new schedule. We scheduled our test drive which was so thorough that we even got a chance to see if the Sienna would fit into our garage (it does :). Andre walked my wife through pretty much every detail on the car as she needed some final convincing and sure enough Toyota has thought of just about everything a family could need.We ended up mulling the deal over a long weekend and pretty much handled all of our negotiations via text messages which lessened any of the tension that can happen between sales and buyer. The deal that we landed on equaled any other that we were able to find across the state making us glad that we did decide to go local with our business.At every step of the way Andre was thorough in his response and quick to reply. We've now had the vehicle for a couple of weeks and Andre continues to check-in to make sure that we are completely satisfied.By far the best car shopping experience we've ever had!

Tani was patient when I was looking at a Prius C and Prius Liftback. He showed me the features of both cars and worked with me on my timeline. I shopped around at other dealers and checked out pricing on the internet. When I was finally ready, I came back to Tani and we agreed on a price. He made sure I was happy with the interior color of the interior and even drove me to their storage area to show me another car for comparison. They have more cars stashed away in a remote location so don't be dissuaded by what you see on the lot or in the showroom. I just bought a Toyota Sienna LE from this dealership over the July 4th weekend, and I have experienced a wonderful hospitality and patient from the dealer and the staff, Mr. Victor Kim. This is the third new car I ever own in my life. I was previously a Honda owner for both the Honda Accord and Honda Odyssey before I finally decided to go with Toyota Sienna van at this dealership. Typically, I would classify myself as a somewhat difficult customer, because I always wanted to test out the product thoroughly before I make the final purchase. Mr. Kim was very patient. He answered everyone of my questions with kindness, even the stupid one. When it was time for him to hand over the vehicle to me, he enthusiatically went through every inspection of the vehicle to my satisfaction. He taught me the basic operation of the vehicle and the expectations that go along with it. He assisted me in programming the blue tooth communication for my cell phone. He did the follow up, scheduling my next auto service appointment.The only deficit I can find is the waiting time was long. It takes almost 2 hours to do the paperwork, to wait for the available cashier. But the courtesy was outstanding. The beverages like coffee, tea is mediocre, standard, nothing fancy. I expected more from in this area, but it is okay for me. I was here to shop for the car, not the beverages. Also, the trade-in value for my car is a little low. But what do you expect? Car dealer always offered the bottom price. It is best if you can sell the old car on your own. Too bad, I am too lazy and don't want to spend the time.But the bargain was great. I was able to get the Sienna Van for much less than the MSRP, even below the average pay from other customer survey. It was a red-tag one that the dealer want to clear it from the lot. I paid $26,588.00 for the Sienna LE 3.5L 8 Passenger (with only standard equipment; with only a few optional accessories). I believe it is a good deal, unless someone is kind enough to tell me otherwise. The dealer was kind enough to throw in the 2 year free Toyota Care for maintenance service, and the 2 year roadside assistance service.I now enjoyed driving the vehicle. It is running great. I like the color white, but the one I got is black, and it is the only red-tag left. I love the interior. I am thinking of getting the crossbar rack and the cargo box for my next trip to Southern California in August.We'll see..God bless...sl

I first went just check out the different cars at the SF Toyota. At first visit Chris assisted us to explore differnt models and he was very courtious and professional about how haddle the whole process. We went other makers to check out and I decided to buy the Highlander and return to the dealer. Fishy salesman had me come in for my test-drive appointment when the car I wanted had already been sold, just to get me in and try to sell me a different car. Wouldn't be so bad, but I had just been there a day prior to try to see the car & it wasn't there. He could have been honest with me then, but decided not to. When salesmen pull this kind of nonsense, it makes me wonder what else they'd be willing to do to make a sale- at customer's expense.

Wow. The place is excellent. I'd give them more than 5 stars. Both Tani and his "sidekick" Alex turned out to be the best and really professionals. They took us step by step through the complexities of the Prius and we made the deal with the least amount of hassle. What was best was that Tani did not play games and all that stuff that goes on with other dealers...He was transparent all the way and a person I'd recommend to others who want to shop there.

I saw a Volvo advertised online by SF Toyota.I called and asked if I could take it to my mechanic, about 40 miles away.Salesman on phone said fine.I took time off work and called again to be sure."You can't take the car that far.""Why not?" "It's against our policy."When I started to cancel, they changed the tune."You can take it, but you have to sign an agreement saying you're responsible for it."I showed up and it was a different story.They handed me a purchase agreement.I said I wasn't buying it, I wanted to have my mechanic look at it.They said I could tear up the agreement if the mechanic didn't approve the car.Wait."That means I'm BUYING the car unless the mechanic doesn't like it?""Sure. You want the car, don't you?""I don't know. What about the price negotiations.""You already agreed to the price.""What price?""The price you saw online.""Oh. I just came back from purchasing a Prius from Philip and have to admit that I am so impressed with SF Toyota and especially my sales rep Philip! My previous experiences purchasing a car from dealers like Honda, Infiniti, Acura have been subpar. I either spent many hours there or the salesman was just trying to take every single penny from my bank account....purchasing a car from Philip has been the best experience so far.We communicated through email at 10am, I received a quote from Philip and it was exactly the price I already had in mind, so it was a done deal. I met him later that afternoon and already had a great vibe about this guy. He knew I was here for that exact car, no hassle or trying to upsell me. When we were going through the functions of the car, he knew everything about it. Victor Kim was by far the best car salesman I've dealt with (and I've owned 4 Mercedes.) He listened to everything I wanted and didn't try to change my mind or influence me. Instead he kept looking for a used Prius that was everything I wanted until he found it. He went out of his way to accommodate me, like picking me up from work to take me on a test drive, and coming in to SF Toyota on Christmas eve. He was very knowledgeable and patient. He answered all my questions, and let me test drive everywhere I wanted for as long as I wanted. It seemed like his priority was making sure I was completely happy and certain that I had just the right car. It was like having a friend help me buy a car. He made it easy and fun.

Oh wow, I think even know this dealership had such great reviews until now. Overall great service and trustworthy dealership. Basically, I was urgently searching for the best price for a Prius C two in the bay area. Tani gave me a good quote, but it wasn't the cheapest quote I got. But when I asked for my cheapest quoted price, they were willing to give it to me. Sabrina picked me from my house the earliest possible time to the dealership, and the transaction was exactly as we had negotiated. I got to test drive the car, and Sabrina explained all the features of the car to me. They will go out of their ways to solve whatever problems you have. They were missing one of the keys for my car at the end, but they delivered to me as soon as they found it (for courtesy, they even gave me an extra spare valet key even though it was not supposed to be included). Overall, a very pleasant experience. I feel so blessed that God has led me to buy from them.

The staff were very welcoming when we came in looking for a new car. They offered us refreshments and what kind of car we were looking for. We were helped by Larry Lim. He is sooooo nice. We were going to buy a Honda Odyssey but after working with Byron Wong, we walked away with a Sienna. I have been driving Honda's for the last 20 years and this is my first Toyota. My sales associate, Sabrina, was amazing. I was interested in the new Prius C, a vehicle that had been on the market for less than 2 weeks. Michael Ma was terrific. We pre-ordered my 2012 Prius Plug-In November 2011 and he kept in contact with me through the whole experience (delivery date was April 11, 2012). I first spoke with Michael in August 2011 when Toyota sent an e-mail to existing Prius owners notifying me that the Plug-In would be available for pre-ordering in Fall 2011. I called SF Toyota to confirm the pre-order date and Michael was the sales person who helped me. He confirmed the options that appeared to be available at that time, wrote down what I was interested in and sent a follow up e-mail the same day. On the actual pre-order date, when the online ordering site was unavailable due to high volume, he returned my call within the hour to confirm he had submitted my order through the dealer site. I only met him in person for the first time on the actual date the car was ready for pick-up; prior to that, we'd only talked on the phone or corresponded via e-mail. This experience increased my overall satisfaction rate because Michael's personalized care and quick response time to my inquiries before the actual delivery date appear to have been driven solely by his desire to provide the best purchasing experience for his customers. Patrick Kuang was also terrific; he managed the financing process (I traded in my old Prius, and financed through Toyota). He was very thorough in explaining the various options available and took time to answer all my questions. In summary, I purchased my first Prius in Dec-2005 at the same location (different sales and finance employees) and this recent experience purchasing my new Prius Plug-In reconfirms that I would strongly recommend SF Toyota to anyone considering a new Toyota purchase.

A car dealership is really only as good as its people and I'm glad to say Sabrina made our experience with purchasing our first new car at SF Toyota absolutely wonderful. We bought a 2012 Toyota Prius 4 - Barcelona Red on Dark Grey Softex.There was zero pressure, no overselling, just her patience in showing us any car we wanted and explaining to us how everything works. Note that we had just come up from an hour long drive from San Jose in traffic, and it was around 4pm and Sabrina still hadn't eaten lunch. At the end we decided we want a color combo that is quite rare... Sabrina helped us find it and we got it fresh off the boat!!!What can I say? Never thought buying a new car could be so pleasant. Highly recommend you work with Sabrina Shia when you are thinking about buying a Toyota.

I fell in love with the Prius C the moment I discovered it on-line in early March. The very next day, I visited SF Toyota (15 blocks from my home). Philip Yue greeted me with a low-key, no nonsense, helpful style. For the next week, I was in and out of the dealership a few times, bringing in our 2 "trade-in" vehicles for trade-in appraisals. To make a long story short, we settled on a very decent trade-in price for 1 car. Phil told us we were offered the highest trade-in value because 1) we are loyal customers (this would be our 3rd Toyota purchase from SF Toyota since 1976); 2) we live in the neighborhood; 3) we have 3 grown children and SF Toyota would like them as customers, too, one day. So, when I came into the dealership, there were no other issues, I got the deal we negotiated and it was all very straightforward. Working with Damien at SF Toyota on Geary was the easiest and most enjoyable car buying experience in my 60+ years, even though I live 80 miles from SF. I was able to do the preliminaries and price negotiation over the phone in a few very relaxed and helpful conversations with Damien, who always got back to me promptly to answer my messages but never called to "push". Bottom line: I got a new Prius v five for what my internet research (dealer invoice info, etc.) told me was a very reasonable price. A little plus when I went in to sign and pick up the car: everyone else I talked to at the dealership was also exceptionally friendly and professional. I recommend Damien and SF Toyota without reservation.

Between Michael and Sabrina I was treated very well.Sabrina is great, and her support staff.I was able to drive three different trucks and they brought in the red truck that I bought.There was little if any pressure to buy the truck and answered any question I had quickly.I like the fact I was able to do a lot of the questions and the final negations thru e mail.Sabrina came to my home with a 4x4 just like I was buying to make sure it would fit into my garage height wise.Once I got the truck it was filled with gas. Sabrina took the time to go over all the features of the truck even thou it was passed her working hours.She has followed up with e mails since and has checked in to make sure everything was going fine and To make sure if I had any questions they would be answered.This is my second truck from San Francisco Toyota and it will not be the last.Over all I had a great experience.

Larry greeted us quickly, and gave us answers to all our questions about the new Prius. He is very knowledgeable. We think we got a fair price, but how can you really know?The finance manager handled our (relatively simple) paper work expertly. there was one slip-up--one requested option had not been installed at the time of delivery. Larry went out of his way to make this right, but of course it's not quite as convenient when your new car has to go back to the dealer for a few hours.

Little did I realize that she steered us in the direction of the most respectful auto purchasing experience that I have ever had (over the past 40 years). Sabrina (as well as Kevin?I believe that was his namewho processed our finances/papers) was informative in a non-pressured manner (which I heartily appreciated) and remarkably thorough in reviewing with us all aspects of our new Prius. My car was serviced at the Van Ness office. Raymund Lee was the person who first greeted me, reviewed what was needed to be done for the day. I was there for a 55000 mile check, but there was a discrepancy in my computer record. I had already had this maintenance done. Mr. Lee found the error and pointed it out to me. We proceeded to have a 60000 mile check. I was to return at 2:00pm for my car. Around 11:00am, I got a call from Mr. Lee advising me that my rear shock absorbers were leaking hydraulic fluid. This was promptly replaced and my car was ready at 2:00pm. Again, I was greeted by Mr. Lee and he assured me that all was in fine working condition.Thank you, Mr. Raymund Lee!!!

I don't really like dealing with Sales People so my husband went to SF Toyota to negotiate the purchase of a used Sienna. I was pleasantly surprised when we went to pick up the car. Victor provided excellent customer service and follow-up. He isn't overly "salesy" and does his best to address concerns/issues with a sense of urgency. There was a plastic, decorative piece missing from the steering wheel and since the shop was closed on Sunday he promised to follow-up on Monday to see if they were able to identify a replacement. We still took the car home so I was a little nervous that he wouldn't follow through. However, he called the next day and we scheduled an appointment to get it installed. I highly recommend Victor and SF toyota.

Great customer service made a difficult situation much better. I brought my vehicle in for servicing, and a key part needed to be replaced. Unexpectedly, I had to leave the car overnight in order to wait for the part to arrive. David Chu immediately got me a loaner vehicle. The part arrived the next day, but didn't work, so they had to order it again, and I had to wait another day for the part. The next day, it turned out the part did not arrive, and so i had to wait yet another day. Throughout this frustrating experience, David kept me well informed of what was happening, was very responsive and understanding of my frustration. In these types of situations, a good customer service representative makes all the difference -- David turned a potentially really unpleasant week into a fine one. Highly recommend this Toyota center and David Chu.

I came in to SF Toyota really just looking around and test driving a few Tacoma's. After a few days, Ryan and his team worked with our finances, and were patient and helpful throughout the entire process, and after a few days, I drove off in a brand new 4 Runner. I have purchased several new cars in my life, but Ryan really made us feel comfortable and important, which allowed us just to focus on what we want, and then how to get it. We got a great deal on this truck, and I think the conventional wisdom says that you will pay more by buying from a car dealership in the city, but they know this too, and I think when all is said and done you can come away with possibly even a better deal then driving to an in-land dealer, who *also* know that conventional wisdom favors them, so maybe they take advantage of that... that's just speculation on my part, but I can tell you we got our truck for a lot less than i saw others purchasing the truck for, so thanks again SF Toyota, and Ryan Duong and his team.

Three weeks ago, we walked into this dealer just to look at some new Tacoma trucks as we were planning on replacing our current one. Ryan was able to get us to the warehouse to show us some options. Last week, he checked up on us and also let us know about Toyota's 0% financing option. He also researched the whole state to find us the exact truck that we were looking for. Within 2 days, our brand new truck was at the dealer waiting for us to be test driven.Once we decided on getting it, the process was very seamless and smooth - even though it did take about 2 hours to finalize everything. Pricing very straightforward. Payment handled easily. Our salesman, Tani, did his job well without being pushy. The biggest compliment I can give is that we felt comfortable to speak openly to each other in front of him. We didn't feel like we had to play some game with him. He did a great job working with us on our trade-in and getting our price down to a comfortable place. I am on my second Toyota and can't be happier with the quality of the vehicle, ( 2010 Rav4), but more importantly, with the staff of the Van Ness Service Department. I always try to pre-book my appointments on line, which turns out to be a great time saver. I am always greeted by name, and treated with courtesy. All my ( sometimes lame), questions are thouroghly answered before any work is even written up. They are always more than willing to accomodate any time restraints I have. The quality of the work is always 5 star. You don't get to see the actual service technicians, but I would like to thank them as well. Let's face it,no one REALLY likes to take their car in for service, but if you have to, I strongly suggest SF Toyota. I am partial to the Van Ness location because I had such a positive sales experience there when I bought my first Toyota.

I recently brought my 2007 Camry Hybrid for trade in. I wanted a Toyota that I could live with here in San Francisco, but also one that I could drive to the Baja where I live part of each year. I ended up driving out with a 2011 Hybrid Highlander, and I couldn't be more pleased. It has a similar drive feel and luxury to my Hybrid Camry, and yet has the heft, visibility and capacity of a truck. In what was a great experience all the way around, including all of the Toyota service reps from the managers to the fellow who processed the paper work, I was especially impressed with Bruce Manning, my sales rep. He patiently took me through the process of comparing different all-wheel drive vehicles, and encouraged me to give the Highlander a drive, in spite of the fact I thought it would be too large for my garage. (It fit, no problem!) But the best part of the process was after the trade and sale was processed, Bruce had the car completely prepped for my pick up, and then he spent all the time necessary to teach me EVERYTHING about the audio/GPS/heating and cooling.... the entire operations available in this vehicle. I owe the extreme enjoyment of my new car this past week to that extensive training before I left the showroom.The only low point was the pricing. I thought my trade was what I expected - my Camry had very low millage and was in great condition- but because this Highlander was a slightly pre-wned vehicle (only 1,200 m.) I expected Russ to have a little more space and give me a price break. I guess he felt like he had all the cards, since the Highlanders are so desirable.I'm a loyal SFToyota client... love their service department, and now look forward to many more years of a relationship there.Thanks SF Toyota.

I live in San Francisco and had been looking for a used Corolla for my daughter, who attends college in Los Angeles. When I located the car I ultimately purchased (on March 14, 2011), at SF Toyota on Van Ness, Bruce Manning did an excellent job of making sure the car met my daughter's expectations. A 2008 vehicle, it did not come with an MP3 player jack, a necessity for young people who listen to music today. He offered to have the jack installed and made sure the car was ready when my daughter arrived later in the week to pick it up. He also facilitated communication with our insurance carrier, to be sure the necessary paperwork was at the dealership so she could drive the car away. He understood she had a small window of time to fly up to San Francisco, pick up the car, and drive back for school and her job. He also arranged for Kevin Duong at SF Toyota to be ready with all necessary paperwork the morning she arrived. Mr. Duong was thoroughly attentive to all the details. This was a purchase I made for my daughter, but as an adult and the legal owner of the car, she signed all the papers as I watched. Mr. Duong explained everything very carefully and made sure she was comfortable and understood the transaction. All in all, I would like to compliment the folks at SF Toyota. I'm happy to recommend them and also appreciate the follow-up phone call from Mr. Manning. Also, for your information, I found the car online, placed there by Edwin Tan, who was also very helpful.

Byron Wong greeted me with a smile when I walked in the door. He showed me the sale price of the new 2010 Corolla (though I was asking about a certified used one), and then lowered the asking price without my having to haggle. I detest haggling and games. I had already spoken to 2 other dealers recommended by friends and I was never called back. I asked about the Toyota recalls and Byron explained that these problems had been corrected, which I guess they had since I don't hear anything in the news any more. Byron was extremely patient and accommodating and seems to take his job very seriously. He told me to call any time (though I will try not to do this). He walked me to Donald Hong, who explained the additional warranties to me very patiently. This part was a surprise to me, since I hadn't purchased a car in years and it did add to the price. However, I think it was worth it since I tend to keep my cars for 10 years. The last person I met was a manager named "Glen" or "Greg" (?), who was also very nice. This dealership is in my neighborhood. In fact, I walked over to it from my home. I was expecting a very unpleasant experience, but it turned out to be just the opposite. I bought my last car used (27,000 miles) at my former credit union's car sale. It was a 1999 Rav 4. I just gave it to my friend and it's still in good shape at 214,000+ miles. Toyota is a good car. This dealership went out of its way to be courteous and helpful, and yes, I would recommend them to friends.

Not only was Ryan attentive and nice to work with, during our test drive the fellows at Toyota were cool enough to watch our dog :)That day, we told Ryan the purchase parameters we were looking for and to call us once those could be met. The overall experience was a very positive one, from my first telephone conversation with Damien Fukushima to driving away from the dealership in my pre-owned certified 2006 Toyota Highlander. Damien listened to what I wanted and did not want and never suggested a car that did not fit what I was looking for, nor at any time did he suggest that I might have to make compromises since I was buying a used car. His attention to what would work for me and what wouldn't was greatly appreciated. Everyone at the dealership was helpful and professional and although I had financing in place they were able to give me a better rate (2.9%) and walked me through the application process and let me know as soon as I was approved. Damien's willingness to be flexible in regard to my time frame as well as respecting my need for car to meet certain criteria made a potentially stressful situation a totally positive one.

Originally was looking at a Prius, but settled on a Corolla. Ryan was very patient and showed us the Prius, Yaris, and the Corolla so we could make a good decision on what we really needed. There was no pressure to buy what we did not need. Pricing was great and the over all experience to close the deal, credit check, and final finance paperwork was fast and efficient.

I just picked up my new 2010 Prius and I wanted to say thanks to Ryan Dong for helping me pick the perfect car. Ryan was very knowledgeable about all of the cars and explained everything very well. San Francisco Toyota is more than a dealership...it's a Toyota family! I leased a new Prius in Jan 2010 and had a wonderful experience working with Ryan Dong and Kevin Pang. Both Ryan and Kevin were extremely professional and helpful in presenting vehicle options that would best suit my needs (commuter, fuel efficiency..) and desires (solid handling car, technology options, quick pick up) as a driver. During the process, I mentioned other vehicles of interest (audi, bmw) and Ryan maintained objectivity by presenting facts about other vehicles to consider and never once pressured me. As a consumer, I really appreciated his honesty, objectiveness and genuine interest in my satisfaction. The entire deal was handled quickly and efficiently- a BIG plus!!! My wide and I bought my first car from Toyota of San Francisco and the experience was terrific. Tani Tritasavit was an excellent salesman who was patient, well informed, friendly, and never pushy. After we agreed on a price, Tani and his team identified a new $1000 savings we qualified for! Since buying the car, Tani and the rest of the Toyota team have been very helpful even after the sale. So far our family has owned 6 Toyotas; one Land Cruiser, two Highlanders, two Priuses and one Rav4. They have been completely reliable and durable. Was recommended to this dealership from a friend. Wanted a 2011 Sequoia in a specific color scheme-not the easiest SUV to find, especially in SF. Tani made the experience so smooth. He is an amazing salesperson. Amazing because he doesn't make you feel like he's a salesman; it's like shopping with a friend or ally - like he's in the adventure with you and not just taking you for a ride. He truly is a rare asset to this dealership. He should be put in charge of sales & customer service training. Great service is not unheard of before you sign the contract. However, the customer service after you leave with your car is just as AMAZING!! The follow up was great. Tani still returned correspondence promptly when I had questions, unlike any experience I've ever had at any other dealerships (BMWsf, Toyota Walnut Creek, Broadway VW, Royal Motors VW, etc..) I'm not done yet...the even more amazing thing is the NEW OWNERS breakfast event. You get to meet the general manager, the service managers, and others. They feed you and show you all you need to know to keep your new car in tip-top shape. There's a raffle, deep discounts for accessories, and other benefits. I do not know any other dealership that does that. You are welcomed into their family. They should change their name to Amazing Toyota. This is a dealerhip that truly cares about repeat business and referrals.

My visit to SF Toyota was great, and it resulted with me driving away in my new Corolla S. I found this dealership by being referred by a friend that had dealt with SF Toyota before. My expectations were set high from the things I had heard so I expected nothing less than a top notch experience that would leave me feeling comfortable and confident that I could not have received the same deal anywhere else. I was expecting to have a courteous salesman and sales manager that listened, wasn't pushy and was working to get me the best deal. In the end, I drove off the happy owner of a new Toyota!As a note, the financing deals were so good!

Sales Manager Kevin Pang had won me over at his first smile, but he also cured me of my skepticism over hybrid cars.During our first test drive, the Prius was smooth, but Kevin was even smoother. It was like being gently persuaded of the virtues of a car by a sweet-talking Cary Grant, but with the honesty of a Jimmy Stewart.When I got the car home for its first night in my garage, I realized every car fact Kevin had cited was true. I highly recommend San Francisco Toyota for a purchase or lease of a new vehicle. During our visit, Bruce was very attentive and accomodated us on our test drives and answered all of our questions and concerns. One thing I really liked was that he was not pushy at any point and trying to sell something we didn't need or want. Kevin was also very easy to work with. He was honest in his opinions and helped us find the right financing that fits our needs. Kevin made the process easy and pleasant. We found our car with very few problems. We've had it for 2 weeks and love it. Highly recommended!!

I was bringing my relatives around to buy a car and had started early at 9 am. Being the well researched consumers that we were, we visited a total of 3 dealerships before finally getting the perfect deal we were looking for. We had a varying level of service among the dealerships, some way better than others. To make a long story short, the service was lacking at both city toyota and putnam toyota. After getting the run around at the two previous dealerships and feeling like we wasted a bunch of time unnecessarily, I arrived at San Francisco Toyota and met Ryan Dong, our Sales Consultant who was very friendly and provided us with a very pressure free sales experience. He is the perfect example of how a salesperson should be genuine, kind, respectful, straight forward & patient. He allowed us to really get to know the product before making such a substantial investment into an item we would use for many many years to come, keeping in mind that it IS a toyota vehicle. I would highly recommend this dealership to everyone in the market looking for a toyota for its first rate service and friendly staff. Kevin Pang, the sales manager, was also very approachable as well.

From start to finish I was completely impressed by the service I received from this dealership. My salesman, Steve Reed, went out of his way to make sure I had the car that best fit my needs, and was in my price range. He spent a considerable amount of time making sure that I knew the ins and outs of the car, once I had decided on one, and has followed up with me to make sure I don't have any questions or issues.
