Dealing with my Dad's death and trying to replace a Hummer H3 that broke down at the same time was pretty emotional. It actually broke down on the hwy after I had visited my dad for the last time. It's really nice to know you can actually count on a few Auto Dealers to be honest. Not to say that they aren't. I am giving a review based upon overall shopping experience and high praise for the dealer to offer quality vehicles and a guarantee with every purchase. I also know for years they have been in business of their great reputation from others who purchased vehicles. And in discussions with sales personnel they have multiple financing options to help customers complete the transaction. Unfortunately they did not have the right vehicle for my purchase at this time and I purchased at another competing dealer in the area nearby. However, one big critique of this dealer of an irritant in the shopping process is that this dealer leaves listings marked sold on the website of available inventory for very long time, and I mean weeks. At the time of this review they have 16 sold listings on their website of vehicles offered for sale. I don’t know if this is laziness, carelessness, or perhaps to feed the owners ego to show prospective customers he is selling cars. But as a consumer these sold listings that I am unable to buy only causes me frustration, and waste my time to go through available inventory and still see vehicles I am unable to buy. A sold vehicle is not available inventory by any definition. I also wasted additional time to have to go visit the dealer lot to look at vehicles because I had zero confidence in the website that the vehicle offered was still for sale. And I was ready to buy an Infinity SUV and only to discover it had been sold a week earlier at auction but was on the website and this time had no sold listing imprint on the listing.

Purchased a Toyota 4 Runner last year for son #2 from Mike Stout. The vehicle had just arrived and had some dents and scratches and other wear and tear but drove great. I was told I would be happy with the vehicle once they completed the preparation. These vehicles were in high demand so I went ahead and signed the agreement. When I went back a couple of days later, the vehicle was much, much better than I had anticipated and additional work was completed; more than we had discussed. We have not had one ounce of trouble or regret from this car or buying experience from Sawnee Mt Motors. Son #1 already had a vehicle (Nissan Xterra). Mike helped get this car prepped up and went way beyond again even though I already owned the vehicle. Yesterday, the (Nissan) broke down in Athens GA. One call to Mike (even though the vehicle did not come from him) and he arranged for the car to be repaired in Athens in less than 24 hrs after the call. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from anyone other than Mike Stout! Do yourself a favor and see Mike at Sawnee Mountain Motors.

This was by far the best experience I had buying a car. Super clean facility, Mike is honest and he made it super easy for me. The car I found was in excellent condition for the low price. Outstanding service! A week after I purchased the used Minivan the engine light went on. I called Mike and he took care of it right away. An hour later the error was found and the problem was solved. WOW! I definitely will buy my next car from Swanee Mountain Motors again.

After searching for weeks for the vehicle my husband wanted but not being pleased with the pricing and response from other dealerships. I saw Sawnee Mountain Motors! It wasn't the vehicle he wanted but for the price and vehicle details I decided to take it upon myself to give Mike a call. He was very polite and informative about the vehicle. So I told him that we would like to come take a look at it.. (82 miles away). He said ok just give him a call to make sure the vehicle was still there before we took that drive. So I called him that morning and told him we were on our way he said ok it will be parked in front when we got there and it was! As soon as we walked in the door he introduced himself and handed us the keys. As we were test driving the vehicle I saw my husband sitting in the drivers seat just smiling and sitting up high like the proud owner of his new 2005 F-150 with 107,000 miles. I said you like it baby he said yeah let's turn around so we can start the paperwork.. (Mind you he wanted a different type of F-150). So we sat there and Mike start the process within 30 minutes he had found someone to finance the vehicle at a lower interest rate than we were thinking within our monthly price range. He was very professional yet making you feel at ease about the buying process all together I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Awesome would be the one word I would describe Sawnee Motor Sales. Just picked up the truck my husband's truck we purchased last Friday. I Have been looking for a car for over a month. Someone gave me a Busness card for Sawnee Mountain Motors. I kept it in my pocket for about two weeks. After seeing many cars that was no where near my expectations, I pulled this card out of my pocket and called, Michael had a car at my price and he was willing to wait until I traveled over an hour to allow me to see it. When my wife and I arrived at his location, we thought that this could not be in our price range. Michael sold us a car that was just what we were looking for. Sawnee Mountain Motors Hands down the best.. My dad and I drove from Orlando,Fl to purchase the 1995 Pontiac Firehawk #355 out of 500. From the start Mike said; he would hold the hawk until we arrived,and that he did#5stars.Our 5pm arrival was pushed back due to bad weather,ended up arriving at9pm But,Mike said; No worries I don't care if it's midnight#5stars.The Hawk was DETAILED,WAXED,ready to go. The facilities were uncanny,also Mike gave me an exceptional deal on my trade in and was flexible with the Hawk. We bought a 2014 Kia Sorento (used with not many miles on it). We've had it for about a month now. We love the Kia, it drives nice & looks nice as well. Mike was great, he has a lot of knowledge about vehicles & made the entire process very simple for us. He took care of all the paperwork, He answered all of our questions (since we haven't bought a car in 10 years) & we had lots of questions! Hands down the absolute best place to purchase a vehicle. I drove 1 1/2 hours to look at a Nissan Pathfinder. I searched for vehicles everyday for a week and saw this vehicle on Cars.com. Emailed and called Mr. Stout about the vehicle to inquire about price and condition. Each time I received a quick response with all of my questions answered. The skeptic in me questioned if the pictures were deceiving. Asked Mike if I could come down after work on a Friday. I left Chattanooga at 6:00 with plans to be at the lot by 7. At 7:00 I called Mike saying I was running late. I couldn't believe it when he said, "No Problem, take your time." Arrived after 8 and pleasantly greeted and the Pathfinder sitting by the door. No need to provide driver's license or insurance, Mike just said to take it for a drive. He even encouraged that I stop at a local gas station that had plenty of light so I could see the vehicle. Absolutely perfect condition. I've never had such a fantastic experience, much less purchasing a vehicle. As he ran the numbers, the total came out different than the original quote. Without hesitation he met the price that he emailed to me. My next vehicle will be purchased from Sawnee, and the next, and the next. Mike is honest, trustworthy, and customer focused. Don't hesitate to purchase at this dealership, you will not be disappointed!!!!

I recently purchased a Ford F-150 pickup from Mike Stout at Sawnee Mountain Motors. I was blown away by the quality of this vehicle. The rest of the cars on the lot all looked to be the same quality. I did a lot of research online and honestly, my decision came down to the dealer reviews. Other dealers had similar vehicles listed, but many had questionable reviews - usually either poor quality vehicles, unexpected problems, or bad buying experience. I wanted to go to a dealership that I could trust. Sawnee Mountain Motors had only 5-star reviews and I'm happy to add my 5-star review to the list. I arrived on the lot and looked at the truck. No high-pressure stalking by salesmen. I was able to look at the truck and take my time. Then I spoke with Mike and asked for more information. He was extremely knowledgeable about the truck and was very helpful without putting any pressure on me at all. The reason there's no pressure is that the vehicles sell themselves. Great test drive experience. It's easy to tell that the cars on this lot are a cut above the competition. The purchase process was simple with no-haggle pricing. In the end, Mike actually offered me some savings that I didn't ask for and he worked with me to get financing in spite of my credit score. I took my truck home and had a minor issue occur within a few days. I called Mike and he took care of it immediately at no cost to me. Fantastic customer service. I highly recommend you consider visiting Sawnee Mountain Motors. If they have the vehicle you're looking for, you won't be disappointed. I would definitely visit them again if I'm in the market for a used car and I have already recommended them to several of my friends as well.

I have been searching for a Ford F150 for my boyfriend for weeks, and I was at my witz end at looking/getting info about trucks and everywhere I found one that worked on our limited budget it either had wrong information on the listing or the sellers would be bugging us about trucks that just didn't have what we were asking for no matter how many times we told them. Anyways, I came across a beautiful 2004 Ford F150 FX4 within our price range, and I called Mike to ask if the car was available and some other questions about financing and he gave me all the information I needed and was very helpful. We got to the dealership and he totally trusted us and let us take our time test driving the vehicle and looking it over. He made the financing process so much incredibly easier than I thought it would have been considering my boyfriends short credit history, but he ended up getting us a 7% interest rate on a 48 month loan, and only a $218 payment per month. He even helped us out with the down payment -- I was shocked at his courtesy and totally impressed with the service we got here. I don't normally go on and put up reviews, but he impressed me so much I wanted to let anyone looking into a vehicle here I can assure you -- you will get great service and quality vehicles! He really takes the time to make the quality repairs and explains everything in detail to you before you purchase. I will definitely come back to him for any future purchases. Thanks Mike!!!

I'm adding another VERY relevant review on top of the one I already posted. So shortly after I purchased my 2004 Porsche Cayenne, I was having some electrical "gremlins". Took it to the dealer and it required new batteries and a new starter...about $1,600 of work (Porsche repairs/parts are never cheap, which I knew). Happened to let Mike know when corresponding about the cari title, and he quickly VOLUNTEERED to cover half the repair costs. Didn't need to ask. Received $800 check in the mail today. In a world where you typically can't trust many people these days, believe me when I say Mike is a rare breed of pre-owned car dealer. Do not hesitate to purchase from him.

The positive reviews are accurate folks. Mike offers a unique service in this business that is rare to find. He buys his own cars and does what he says he will do. Just purchased a 2004 Cayenne and am very pleased with the quality of the car. Anything 10 years old will have some issues, but Mike hand picks his own cars and this car was in very good condition. You wouldn't know it is 10 years old. He replaced the rear liftgate shocks, refurbished the steering wheel like new. He put new tires on the car and didn't try to sell a car with 50% tread like most dealers. He also offers a short term guarantee whereas most dealers wipe their hands as soon as you take the keys. He said he looks at 5,000 cars a week and buys just a few. He controls quality by managing his volume. We will return next time we need a car.

As a returning soldier from serving overseas, we've been briefed over and over about car dealers that love scamming soldiers. Mike Stout was the total opposite. He helped us get the best price possible and even worked overtime to make sure we didn't leave without a car. The car was in excellent condition, clean on the inside and out, and runs great. There is not one bad remark a can say about suwanee mountain moters. Mike has taken very good care of me and made it a point to make me happy. The car i bought looks and runs brand new just like i drove it off the lot. A couple of minor issues occurred which is very unpredictable in cars, but mike took care of everything and made my experience completely stress free. Its very very very far and in between to find a used car dealer ship and have this kind of excellent experience and service and i would recommend that anyone looking to buy a used car goes here and no where else. Easiest car buying experience of my life. This 04 Matrix looks like a new car right off a new dealers lot. Supper clean! All repairs made. New brakes installed. You name it it was just like new. Got me a spare tire installed that wasn't in when I test drove. His mechanic noticed the jack and tools were missing so he ordered replacements and I picked the car up before they were installed and Mike calls me up apologizing for not noticing and offers to bring them out to me. Never heard a used car dealer do that ever.

He is very particular about the inventory of vehicles that he put on his lot. The vehicles are definitely well maintained and sell-able vehicles to the public. I drive 3 hours to view/purchase a car from Mike. This behavior is completely unheard of for me. Why did I do it? Mike, owner of Sawnee, was nothing but helpful and genuine on the phone. He ensured me that the car was showroom ready (it was) and that he would not sell to anyone before I saw it if I would call and let him know when I left. Mike has a small lot and building (hence the 4 star rating for building) but upon arrival I could tell he only kept quality cars. It just got better from there. He was not pushy, let me check the car out on my own, and really made me feel like I had known him for years. The big hitter, he gives a 30 day/1000 mile warranty on his used cars! This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. It's crazy, but I will drive 3 hours to buy from Mike before I ever go to a big dealership from now on!

Not only does Mike stand behind his cars, he goes out of his way to help his customers when problems arise. I purchaed a 2000 Ford Windstar from Mike Stout at Sawnee Mountain Motors in February. I can honestly say that I've never dealt with a better car salesman (new or used). We bought a 2004 Ford Freestar from Sawnee Mountain Motors. On the day we bought our van, we had gone to another dealership nearby to look at a van we had seen on the internet. In the pictures, the van at that other dealership looked great. However, once we got there, the van was actually in poor condition. It was very disappointing because we had driven a long way. So, we went to Sawnee Mountain Motors to see the van they had on their lot. When we arrived, the van looked just as good in person as in the photos. Mike was very helpful in answering our questions and made the buying process a breeze. On the way home with our "new to us" van, the check engine light came on. I took the van to a mechanic near my house and then talked with Mike about the problem. I knew Sawnee Mountain Motors had the 30 day/1000 mile warranty that covered 50% of repairs. However, when I talked with Mike, he said since the engine light came on just after I bought the van, he would cover the cost 100%. The bill was nearly $300. That was a very pleasant surprise! Not many people stand by the cars they sale today! I would gladly drive from Anderson, SC to buy another car from Sawnee Mountain Motors in the future! Thanks again Mike!
