Buying a car at this dealership is never an experience I dread. Scott and all invovled have been very helpful in making purchasing/leasing a car very easy. 12 years and six cars later...I wouldn't do business with ANY other dealership or salesperson - HONDA SCHAUMBURG AND SCOTT CARSON. The entire team from management to sales to finance have helped me and seen me through life's special events - i.e.: 3 kids AND life changing events - i.e.: divorce/bankruptcy:credit issues to a bad car accident that totaled my less than year old Honda Accord (not my fault) BUT THE CAR SAVED MY LIFE. This commendation is fairly late in coming. I have brought my Honda vehicles in to Steve Fermandi for the past several years. His customer service is truly superior in that I can always count on him for his professionalism and honesty. I am a single mom with a daughter in college and car repairs are always stressful, especially on a pretty tight budget. I can always trust Steve to recommend what repairs are absolutely necessary. He also informs me of repairs needed in the not too distant future so I can plan financially to get them fixed.Recently, my 2005 Honda CRV needed to be replaced. Steve recommended that I talked with Boti Maruta. It was a great recommendation and I ended up buying a Honda Fit.My kudos to Steve for his superior customer service over the years, and "superior" customer service is a rare commodity these days! I am extremely happy with my Honda Oddessy and with my purchase experience from start to finish.Boti really make us feel very comfortable and we couldn't ask for better treatment and guidance through this process. Once I arrived with an appointment to have my brakes assessed, 4 employees were standing around my car. Two additional employees were discussing the bears last game. Once the conversation ended, fifteen mins had passed since I first asked if someone could help me. After I informed them of my appointment, they informed me it would take three hours to look at my car... Take your car elsewhere... There are better service centers in the area.

Via Schaumburg Honda's website I had submitted and received an internet sales E-Price quote, which was very good. After taking the specific stock # car for a test drive, the quoted E-Price was honored without any hassle and I received a fair value for my trade-in. The sales process went smooth and fairly quickly. My sales person John Irvine was knowledgeable and went through the basic operation of some features more specific to the model I was purchasing including setup/syncing of my iPhone to the car's audio system.

I highly recommend this dealership for it's sales and service departments. I travel 20+ miles to come here rather than to either of 2 Honda dealerships within a 5 mile radius of where I live.Boti was up front and very informative, and did not try to oversell. From start to finish their focus was on finding me the car I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. I was referred to John by close friend. It was easy buying process, unlike most places John was able work with me via phone to accommodate my busy schedule. We were able to work out price on my trade and new car, I than came in we did a little more back and forth and I got the car, I was there for less than 2 hrs. John was very easy going, no pressure of any kind. Finance guy was more the sales person, he was pushy on the extended warranty which i was able to negotiate the price down on as well. I worked with Mike Lis who was friendly, knowledgable, and very helpful with finding the right model and features to meet my needs. He went out of his way to be helpful even with transferring items from my old car to my new one and being available after the sale for any questions or assistance I might need, all of which reflected well on the dealership as a whole for me. I came into the dealership thinking they could not do anything for me as I walked in with a 2014 Dodge Challenger with a lease expiring August 2017. Mark went above and beyond to take care of the remainder of the lease and keep payments the same as I was paying today for a brand new 2017 Honda Accord Sport. We were very fortunate to have been introduced to Boti. From that moment, he took the time to show us the vehicle we were interested in and patiently waited for us to return a month later to buy. They wear you down until you purchase. They present you with limited options based on their sales needs. Ask for pre-owned certified or used and they'll say they have nothing that'll work for you. Once you drive off the lot, you're stuck. There's no informed consent, they determine everything as it benefits them. Stay away or you'll be sorry.

I have been coming to Schaumburg Honda since the 90's. Last Saturday, Sept 03, I found myself back there again but this time somewhat uncertain as to what new Honda Model I was going to go with. The last 3 times, I've purchased an Accord EX, so no-brainer. This time, I was looking for something different but at the same time, I was still feeling the pull of the familiar Accord.Thank goodness for Mike Lis. Mike showed incredible patience in dealing with myself and my sister, who was with me. He answered all of our questions and provided as much information as he can on all the Models I was interested in. Mike was unfazed when I asked to test drive the HRV, CRV, and of course, the Accord. Even in the end, after I had decided on the 2016 HRV and the choice came down to the exterior color, Mike was helpful as a sounding board when trying to make my decision.Mike is very genuine and my sister and I agree that throughout the process, Mike was never patronizing, nor was he condescending. He humbly helped me with all my questions and requests, I dislike being one of those "one thing people"... and I was, : ( but I had many questions, John simply answered my many questions or found out the answer if he did not know. When I arrived all the paper work was efficiently ready and when we agreed with the deal the process was quick an painless. From when I walked into the dealership and I left with a new car it was 3 hours! in my life this has to be among if not the quickest time spent buying a car... I feel lucky to have John Irvine as my Schaumburg Honda representative. He helped me to choose the right options for my new Honda Fit car. John is very knowledgeable, and ready to answer any question about the car. John Irvine knowing than was my first Honda, he not only provided a brief training and shown to all instrumental lights on a dashboard, but he adjusted the locking door option, which was very important to me. John Irvine has advised me to buy a protection coating of the car, and I am very have for that. Because car protection should take several hours, John Irvine explained to me that Schaumburg Honda provides the rent and service department will call me back when car is ready to pickup.In short words, I would say that John Irvine is the best car dealer representative I ever had. I visited the dealership not knowing exactly what I wanted. I had it narrows down to couple of choices. My sales rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very patient and showed me many cars with different options, even ones that were not on my short list. Had a 11:30 am oil change appointment , service guy Johnathan, couldn't find my appointment , but never said anything to me, if he would have I could have showed him the e mail, after 2 hours I went back, and my truck was still out side, I spoke to another service Guy, who said I never had a appointment, and I was a walk up and it takes longer, I showed him the email and he said there was a mistake, now its 2:45 pm and they take my truck in and get it done in 10mins, All they did was maybe change the oil, nothing else, my read out still says 50% oil life. They didn't charge me, but they didn't give me any paperwork, so who knows if the even changed the oil..The Dealer doesn't respect your time, I live in Schaumburg, I will never use them again for anything.

From the moment we arrived to the dealership, to the moment we drove off the lot with our new(used) car, Scott Carson made us feel like more than just customers. My husband and I went into the dealership a bit nervous about purchasing a new car (new to us) .... But Scott made it an easier, less stressful, easy to understand, and no pressure experience. He helped us work the price of the car down to an amount that would be affordable and reasonable for us to work with. He did not rush us like some places and dealers do. It felt very relaxing and comfortable. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Schaumburg Honda had that "family" feel to it. I felt comfortable and appreciated how everyone involved in the purchase of my vehicle stopped by to meet me. I felt "valued". So I have and will continue to recommend your dealership to others. I quite enjoyed my car buying experience at this location TWICE in the past 5 years. This time exceptional service was provided to my my Boti and Jim. I walked in with a letter stating they would offer me full price for my current 2012 Pilot and let me walk out with a new Honda with a lower payment. This was pretty much true! Boti was very knowledgable about their product and assisted me with picking the perfect car for me. Both he, Jim and their finance personnel made the process easy. I am quite enjoying my new HRV! My only issue was that the website in the letter quoted me a substantial amount more for my Pilot than the in-house system they used to scan the VIN. It was still valued above the loan, so that was enough for me with the lower monthly payments (car and insurance).

As a new time car buyer, Mike Lis and Chaz made the experience very easy and enjoyable. They were attentive to our budget and explained every option in order to choose the best. In only two hours, I was able to discuss options, test drive, and sign for my new 2016 Honda Civic! I know I'm in good hands because both Chaz and Mike gave me their business cards with direct cell numbers to call with any questions; whether it's how to turn on my radio or a light on my dashboard is on-- they insisted to call them personally instead of dealing directly with the dealership! After shopping between car classes and settling on mid-size SUV as a choice, I test drove any number of models including Mazda, Ford, Kia, and Hyundai among others, I finally ended up trying a Honda with Mike Lis at Schaumburg Honda. Mike was never pushy, he allowed my wife and I time and space to get the feel for the car and to drive multiple models, down to the one we eventually picked out. There was no "haggling" over price - the price was great - whether you looked on TruePrice, Edmunds, Car & Driver or any other web source. The price for our trade exceeded our expectations. We came in with a price from another dealer, Scott matched it and patiently dealt with my husband and I as we debated between 2 different trim levels (EXL and Touring). We just purchased our second Honda from Mike. We initially found him through an internet search, in 2010. He was extremely helpful. He directed us to the vehicles in which we both were interested. He was patient as we were shopping and not sure which new car we wanted to purchase. We came in test drive a car and didn't purchase anything. We came back test drive another car and did not purchase anything. Third time is the charm. After visiting other dealerships and coming close we ended up up coming back to Mike and making our purchase. He helped set up our electronics, explained all the features of the vehicle. As the '16 Civic was the 4th car from Mike Lis, that would say I enjoy working with him and, as a result, I have recommended people to him.What I was not enamored with was the length of time I spent at the Agency while Mike went to bat for me with the rest of the staff. I called and talked to Mike Lis...I told him what we wanted and also that we have been approved through our credit card company for a certain amount....When we walked in and sat down at Mike's desk it became the easiest car purchase we have ever had...He told us the colors he had with the features we wanted on our HR-V... He went and retrieved the vehicle and brought it over...My wife took it for a test drive and immediately was on love.... Sat down for about 5 minutes and haggled on the trade in value of our car...I wanted an extra $500 on the trade in and it was done...All the time Mike was there with us, getting all the paper work in order and handing us over to finance...That took literally 10 minutes and we where done....Total about 1.5 hours and we had our new HR-V....Mike is easy going and I would , no I will buy from him again and again... xxxx Mike even programmed my wifes iPhone and mine also into the HR-V. Janet Estrada went out of her way to help me when I brought my 2014 Honda Accord in for service because of the "check engine light" warning. She kept me informed and patiently addressed my concerns. When it became apparent that I would need a loaner car, she took care of all the details and got me on my way as quickly as she could. I'm someone who does not understand much about cars and Janet made me feel comfortable with everything that was going on. I also want to give kudos to Service Manager Tim Stuart. Tried giving a deposit to hold a vehicle, yet they would not take one, surprisingly. However, they promised to "hold" the vehicle. OK, sure. Then, two days before we were scheduled to come and see the vehicle and purchase it, we get an email saying the car has been sold. This is after working and agreeing to rough estimate numbers and even discussing taxes and financing. Needless to say, this was a huge disappointment and let down for us. I would not recommend this dealership as a result of it.

I went to this place because I had already bought a car from here some years ago but this time I was extremely disappointed by the service rendered by the guy called "Big Mac". He was constantly asking me ridiculous personal questions like if I am a citizen or not or when will my green card expire etc,. No attempt was made to even show me the cars instead this guy kept saying you get this you can't get that....apparently these people have too much business and don't need more customers! I was so offended that I walked out and decided not to buy a Honda altogether! I have been a life long user of Hondas but because of this dealership I decided to get a Toyota! Will never ever recommend anyone going to this place!!!

We went into Schaumburg Honda to look at their used car selection. Our salesman Andre showed us an 08' Accord that we were interested in. Andre was very nice and not overbearing like most car salesman and listened to our needs. This made the deal not feel forced. We had a specific car payment amount needed to work within our budget. The sales manager Terry Kioutas worked with us on our trade in, and used car purchase to make the deal fit our desired budget. We love our new vehicle and recommend anyone to shop for vehicles from this dealership. Terry and Andre were great, ask for them! You won't be disappointed!I told my brother about our experience, and he ended up buying a CRV 5 weeks after we bought our Accord . His experience was similar to ours.

I was looking to purchase a CRV and ended up going with the EX model. John Stock was friendly and low key which was nice. We test drove then came back just a later and purchased the car. The purchasing experience was easy and we were happy with the price we got from the start. I was very happy with my experience. About a week later I realized the registration was not in my car. I had it with the license plates that they took and put on the car and I just assumed it would show up in the car. I called and talked with John and he told me unless I heard from him that the registration would be on it's way. I waited about a week and it still had not arrived so I left a message at John's voicemail after getting forwarded twice and having to explain my situation and their suggestion for help was to leave John a voice mail. I never heard back so I called again about a week later. I spoke with John who then forwarded me to someone in the finance department who told me it would be on it's way. Again it never showed up. I live in Chicago so I did not want to have to drive out there just to grab a piece of paper that could be mailed to me for the cost of postage. At this point it was more than 30 days past purchasing the car and I knew I needed to get my car registered with the city and get a permit. This time when I called the dealership I knew that I would have to put on the angry voice from the start which I hate to do, I'm not a fan of confrontation. I explained my situation and was forwarded three times having to retell my issue every time before I was finally forwarded to the correct person. I believe her name was Patricia who told me she would print it out and then sent it via UPS. After this I emailed John telling him my frustration with my experience and telling him that I felt that the dealership should pay the $60 fee that I had to pay to the city of Chicago since they could not get me my registration on time. His response only defended that he did his part putting in a request and that the other things are not things he does. He suggested I contact the fiannce manager there if I wanted money back. My impression would be that the sales person who I purchased a brand new car from would help handle things like that but instead all he did was defend himself and tell me to call someone else there. I would not recommend this dealership as the customer service is lacking and would not recommend John Stock as a salesperson as he does not have any follow through or provide any support to customers after he gets his sale. Fortunately I can go to other Honda locations if I have any issues with the car. I am very happy with the car itself, fortunately

This was my second time buying a car; however, this time I actually enjoyed it and who would had thought that buying a car can be so much fun. First at all, my experience wouldn't be so positive if it wasn't for the sales associate, Boti Maruta, who I had the pleasure to work with on my car deal. Boti was very professional and knowledgeable in all he was helping me with. He is an excellent sales associate and Schamburg Honda is lucky to have such an employee. Rodger McClintok was not only professional, but he went above and beyond to make sure he found me a vehicle that fit within my budget. He was never pushy and ( unlike the majority of vehicle salespeople I encounter as a woman) I automatically felt respected and comfortable.Rodger gives the place a "family" feel and is most concerned about the individual's personal needs vs. seeing dollar signs. When I first met Rodger, I was going through a personal crises and he approached and dealt with my situation with sensitivity, compassion and genuine concern. He immediately made me feel at ease.I not only left with a vehicle I was thrilled wit but, I left feeling like I had just made a friend. When my financial situation changed due to going back to school, Rodger made it very easy for me to "downsize" financially so-to-speak; and I left with a different vehicle that suited my budget once again.Before I met Rodger I had been to several different dealerships and had walked out because I didn't feel respected and that the salesmen were pushy and "out for themselves."The way Big Mac conducts himself personally and professionally is the gold standard approach to how people ought to conduct business. We bought a new CRV. The price we agreed upon was 27k which included our trade in. When we got to the finance managers office they had entered the MSRP as the selling price minus the trade. A 3k difference in what was agreed upon with the sales guy. They focused on the finance rate and monthly payments as they charged us full price for the car. We reviewed the documentation the following day and went back(a 3 hour drive back). They immediately corrected their "honest mistake" Not once did a finance manager OR ANY manager come out to apologize for their "error" They got caught in the scam. I feel that they prey on the naive to charge more as they distract with the finance charges and monthly payments. This was a $3,000 honest mistake. I find it hard to believe that this was an honest mistake. For a dealership that sells alot of cars- if they do this just to a few people per month- it can accumulate to several thousands of honest mistake dollars. I would not recommend doing business here, unless you have money burn and want to pay full price. From a customer service standpoint- a free "out of pocket" oil change was offered from the sales guy. wow what a deal? an out of pocket oil change- for driving 3 hours. amazing customer service. Even at taco bell if they screw up your order, they give you a taco for free. Here they just shy away and blame it on the computer. I will report to the BBB as well. Maybe more have been scammed here like this. In the end, they didn't do anything to "make it right"

I have been taking my 4 cars for service to this dealership now since 2009. I dealt with few good service advisors during my visits (at least 50 oil changes). Some advisors were good and I wish they had stayed. I do not write reviews for good performance because that is expected out of all. Since I came in contact with Tim, he has been very friendly, helpful and talks "natural". Recently I brought my daughter's 2009 Civic for tire replacement. While writing the ticket, Tim noticed the color defect on my car roof and doors. He mentioned that there is a recall for this color defect and my car may be covered under the recall. He looked up the car history and prepared the paperwork to get the tire done and also to get the car repainted. Because the car would be gone for several days he also arranged for a free rental. My daughter was very excited and of course I was very pleased for Tim's attention to customer help. I noticed the paint damage for more than a year and was very noticeable on the car roof. Color damage did not just make my car looked bad but also was making Honda quality look bad. No other advisor or technician mentioned this during my previous visits. Writing this review was long over due for Tim however the last experience prompted me to write and give full credit to Tim. Since 1990, I have purchased 5 new Hondas for my family and I am due to replace two of the cars in near future. As long as Tim is with this dealership, I will sure look around and then purchase from Schaumburg Honda. The purchase credit should go to Tim. Tim understands the value of customer retention. I have a 2008 Honda Accord exl. My car died in Elgin and Tim Stuart from Schaumburg Honda offered to come to me to help get my car started and into the shop! I took my car into Schaumburg honda and had the battery replaced and oil change done. My overall time in the dealer was short, my car was done fast, and I laughed the whole time talking to Tim and his coworkers. This is a great dealership, and the only way place I'll take me car. The service department was very busy, but Tim Stuart assured me that he'd get the bulb replaced and that I would not have to come back later or make an appointment for service. I made an appointment and told them I had to wait for the work to be done.i was sent a letter from Honda that the recall was 20 to 30 minutes. I made sure the person taking my call was Was aware I would wait. When I brought in the car they said it would be over 3 hours. I spoke to the person who was the service manager he said they were very backed up with recalls and that is they way it was( very rude) I went and spoke to the general manager to complain and he was quick to blame honda for all the work because of recall saying they are doing 100 per day. He also stated that there are ma y people who don't have appointments coming in. And they were too busy. What is the purpose for an appointment if it is not honored. This is the third encounter with service at Schaumburg honda.after purchasing 5 Hondas and the poor service from the dealer I will never buy another honda

I purchased the maintenance plan for my 2015 Honda Pilot. I had a great experience with the purchase but that's where it ends. I brought the vehicle for its first oil change and discovered I should have made an appointment. They do not have a quick lane for minor repairs or oil changes. I returned about 10 days later for my scheduled appointment. None of the service employees greeted me or even acknowledged me until I approached one of them. Finally, one of the 5 employees took my information to get the oil change started. Over two hours later I am still waiting for my vehicle. This service department can not keep up with the volume. Stay away!

We purchased a used Honda Odyssey. Within a week the Tire Pressure sensor for a rear wheel went on twice and the check engine light went on. We had the codes checked- 16 of them. Multiple misfires amongst others. Are you kidding me!!! They pushed the Carfax which showed that they had worked on this vehicle at all the recommended service miles. How did you not know if was misfiring then? Left several messages to return our call, after 26 hours we finally received a call back. There response, "Well, you bought a used car. We don't have a magic crystal ball to tell us when the engine is going to have troubles." "You will have to take it to get a diagnostic test and then send it to your extended warranty. We'll make sure to push your papers through." They never once explained to us about the Run-flat (PAX) tires either. I paid quite a bit for this used vehicle. This is horrible customer service. I will not buy from them again!! I may never buy a Honda again either.

Please stay away from this dealership for service. Even service manager is very very unprofessional and have attitude problem. Don't know how to talk to his customers. Don't want to listen. I left my car for a airbag recall and when I picked up the car the airbag light was on. I tried to explain him that even though it was unrelated to the recall work, somebody should have contacted me and explain me the reason and provide solution to the problem. He didn't even listen to me. I have a recording of his hyper attitude and also planning to reach out to TV channels to run the show of someone who is so ignorant and working as a manager.

I have never bought a Honda but we were in the market for a van and it was between Toyota and Honda. First we visited a Toyota dealer and they couldn't get us the van we wanted for the price we needed, so I went on Schaumburg Honda's website and looked around. I sent an inquiry and they responded to me within a few hours. We went in and they got us the van we wanted (even one model higher) for the price and the LEASE we wanted!!! They were great, went above and beyond for us for sure. And we will definitely go back and refer anyone who needs a car to them! Also I absolutely LOOOOOVE my new van!!! Another added bonus from our experience was our salesman John Irvine, great guy! He also went above and beyond for us MANY times during our visit. Overall we had the best car buying experience thanks to this dealer and our salesman!!

Never will I go back. My 8-year loyalty to Schaumburg Honda was broken after I was treated terribly while trying to pay my $2000 service bill. The cashiers were terribly rude and out-of-line. I work hard and value my money. I should feel good about how and when I spend it. I am still unsettled and never did get a response from the dealership General Manager. You remember how you are treated.

this review is about my purchasing experience.my old reliable 8.5 year old toyota rav4 was starting to show signs of rapid decline over the last few months, so i knew it was time to look at a new car. i've been driving suv's for the last 9 years (i had a 2001 ford escape prior to the rav4), but i'd gotten to the point where it just made more financial sense to buy a good quality car with good gas mileage. back in the day, i had a honda civic LX sedan that i bought brand new when i finished university. it lasted 12 years and right up to the end, it was an excellent car. so, it was a no-brainer that i'd come back to honda for another civic...however, i was dreading the process. the purchase of my previous cars went pretty much like a bad episode of any number of sitcoms - the car salesmen were pushy, overbearing, condescending, rude, and snarky. so, i was preparing myself mentally and emotionally for the car-buying experience.i started by doing my homework on line: i got on truecars.com and kellybluebook.com to see what prices were like in the area. then i contacted some dealerships by phone and email. then one day, i went to schaumburg honda just to look around and was approached by a salesman named john irvine. from the first few minutes of chit-chating about what i was looking for, i knew i could feel comfortable working with him. he was approachable, friendly, and respectful of my time and personal space. he didn't push an agenda nor did he overwhelm me with facts about the car (i already new i liked the car so he didn't have to sell me on it). after a few minutes, he let me have my space so i could kick the tires and study the car.over the next few days, i mainly communicated with john via email, which he was always prompt in responding to. after another visit to the dealership for a test drive, we spend several days emailing back and forth about the price; i even emailed him quotes that other dealerships in the area sent me while i was researching, and he was able to bring the cost down to what i considered to be an excellent price. (he said he even did some secret shopping of his own by calling around to other honda dealerships to see what they were selling the civic for...) i took my new civic LX sedan home on Friday, 8/29 just in time for the labour day weekend.john was excellent to work with. he was at all times professional, courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, forthright, and very pleasant, making this car buying experience the best one i've ever had. i wish my previous car buying experiences were this easy and stress-free. i unequivocally recommend schaumburg honda and mr. irvine's expertise specifically. i've been driving my new civic for the last 5 days now... so glad that i'm driving a honda again!

I will be quite honest, the service center here never impressed me and customer service is just average out of all the years I've been coming here. They have a large customer base only due to its prime location right by woodfield. I had an ongoing issue with my new accord that made me come in for service several times. Some advisors I've dealt with were either rude or just mediocre. But 2 specific service advisors (Armand Wothe, and Mitch Barr) went above and beyond in treating me right, which is the only reason why I continue to come here for service period. Both Armand and Mitch on two separate occasions were professional and genuinely wanted to help me out. If you're ever in the area or looking to get your car serviced here, I would recommend either of them and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

We visited Schaumburg Honda and were greeted by Boti on our first visit. He was super friendly and didn't pressure us into anything. We made it clear that we were there just to test drive. At the end of the drive, he gave us his business card and wished us luck on our search.We returned a few days later, ready to purchase a vehicle. He was able to find the make and model we wanted - showed us everything on the vehicle (how to work all of the functions), and we test drove again. He reviewed the vehicle with us a few times to make sure it looked like how we wanted (things were cleaned and in working order) before driving it off the lot. We didn't feel pressured during negotiating the price - which is always the worst part of buying a car - and were pleased with the final price that we walked away with. We had a pretty good experience and would recommend our salesman, Boti, to anyone looking for a new vehicle!

I have had nothing but problems with this service center. I tried to get an oil change and was told they are too busy. I know have engine light on in my car and called to ask some questions and was told someone would call me back. 12hours later and I'm still waiting. This place makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by fixing your car. Last I checked I'm doing you a favor by purchasing a Honda and taking my car to your facility to keep you in business.

I purchased a 2011 Crysler 300C from Rodger McClintock at the end of March. It was a great experience. I used the Web to find the car, and Rodger took it from there. I had an undercoating & clearcoating added, as well as an extended warranty beyond the 3 years/30k mile factory one,(which was a better price than the 2012 Buick Verano I used for trade). Didn't get much for the Verano in trade but that was because I purchased a base model. Overall a A+++

I purchased a 2014 new car from this dealership. The buying experience was wonderful and if you are in the market, please visit Andre, who was great. This review is purely based upon my first experience with "service". I purchased a demo that had a door dent on the side door, the deal when I bought the car was for them to fix it, no problem. I brought it in on an appointment. Upon entering service, you are not greeted by the multiple people working there. When I was finally noticed, I was checked in and given my loaner. I was told I would be called the next business day by 1 or 2 pm to be instructed when my car would be ready. I explained that it was fine, as I work far from the dealership and would probably not be done with work until at least 4. Fast forward to the next day. I am on my way home from work, 430pm, or so. I still hav not received a phone call as to the status of my car. My husband called me to inquire about the car status and I explained that I did not have the number to call iservice in my phone. He offered to call. After a few minutes, my husband called me back and told me that the car was ready and the service tech he spoke to said that he told me that he wouldn't call, just to come get it when I was done with work. Untrue, but whatever. Not ten minutes later, I received a phone call from the same tech my husband spoke to. He was calling to let me know my car was finished and ready. Hmmm...?Arriving at the dealer, same thing, tons of employees, no one acknowledges you. When someone finally came up to me, I was told that yea, the car was ready, and they pointed in the general vicinity of the cashiers office. Great customer service. Boo. The cashier had me sign some paperwork and told me my car would be brought up. I stood outside waiting. My car was driven up from the back, completely dirty and dusty and must have been parked under a tree that housed a family of berry eating birds. It was covered in crap. The only area that was free of dirt was the two foot square that they had to work on for the dent removal. The "gentleman" that brought up the car never made eye contact with me, never verified that I was waiting for that car. He just got out of my car, left the door opened and ran back inside. I know your busy, but a thank you would have been nice. I got in and started driving home.I noticed In the paperwork I received that day, I had a card that said if your are not completely satisfied to let us know. That they would be following up with an online survey of my experience. So I called and asked to speak with the service manager. After an extended wait, he got on the phone. I explained my experience. His excuse about the dirty car, was that the dent was fixed by an outside company. Excuse me? How is that an excuse? He said if I was still in the area I could bring it back. Yes because I want to drive more in traffic to get my car a wash that it should have had anyway. I recently received a job promotion and needed a car to commute to work. I had never purchased a car before so i was very nervous about the whole process. Shelley Downs helped me out and put my mind at ease. She was very patient with me during the test drive when i had a million different questions about all the technology features the 2013 Honda Civic offered. She was also very knowledgeable about the rest of the features of the civic especially in regards to gas mileage which was also important to me. Once i decided that the Civic was the right car for me it was time to talk money. I had a pretty tight budget but Shelley was able to work it out so the monthly payments fit into my price range. Then the final decision came and it took me about 45 minutes going back and forth if i should buy it or not. She didn't make me feel pressured during this time and helped assure this was the perfect car for me. I couldn't bring the car home that night because of an issue with car insurance. She then offered to have the car delivered to my work the next day! Everyone i encountered at the dealership was great! In the end I got the Civic and i couldn't be happier !

After looking for a specific Honda Odyssey near the end of the year (Touring Elite, certain color, certain interior) at 3 other dealerships near our home, we called Honda of Schaumburg and talked to Mike. While others had failed to locate or even follow up, within a few hours Mike Lis had confirmed a fair price, confirmed he could locate the car, and made sure it would be delivered on time (ordered on Friday, delivery on Monday). We arrived at the dealership, looked at the car, and completed the trade on our current vehicle, all in a very short period of time. Mike made sure things were organized and ready to go for us, and even followed up a few days after the sale to make sure we had what we needed as he knew we were making a 10 hour trip a couple of days after taking delivery.All in all, a very positive experience.

We have had a long relationship with this dealership and it is all due to the service, top to bottom. We bought an Accord EX-L V6 in 2008 and had all of the maintenance done there. Today we purchased a 2014 Odyssey EX-L and had another great experience. We live in Oak Park, and before venturing to Schaumburg we tried to purchase cars closer to home on both occasions. Each time we were met by rude, incompetent, and/or pushy sales people. I really do not have time for nonsense, and I have never had any problems at this dealership.I walked into the showroom and was instantly greeted by a saleswoman Shelley Downs. I knew what car I wanted and had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to pay and receive for my trade-in. Shelley and I had a great conversation about all of that, and some other unrelated things; it could not have been a more pleasant and unpressurized transaction. Not only did we get what we wanted, but we feel good about our decision to return. Inconvenient as it may be for us, it has always been worth the trip. Shelley ensured that we will return with her professional and patient service. She did what she needed to do to get the deal done, and we could not be happier. It truly was a pleasure doing business with her. Stated simply, I could not giver her a higher recommendation as a satisfied customer.

I'm giving this dealership 5 stars, because they earned it! Shelley was my salesperson, and she was not only extremely knowledgable, she went above and beyond to get me the best possible deal. She made sure to get me the car I wanted, without going over what I wanted to pay. While I waited for my paperwork to be ready, she offered food and beverages, and made sure I was comfortable. At no point did I feel like I was being "sold to." I felt like she genuinely cared about my needs more than she cared about closing a deal. I've already told everyone I know to go see Shelley at Schaumburg Honda, and I won't ever go anywhere else! (Unless, of course, she leaves...) THANKS, SHELLEY!! You're the best!

Price suddenly changed ~500$ when visited them by believing the email quote I received. No explanation why. I even showed the email.He showed me OTD price with new license plates. When I told it will be transfer of plates. He came up with the same price. Answer is that's the final price, whatever you do.Trade-in. Wow - what an evaluation. Manager was not even ready to look at it unless I buy that day itself. He gave a quote of $8K for my trade-in which later I sold for $14K. Once price was finalized, service was good. Rich, Mark and FM took good care and go beyond their limits for making all arrangements.

I give kudos to Mike Lis. He was friendly, not pushy, willing to go to all lengths for my wife and I to drive a handful of used cars. He gave us an honest opinion as we were choosing between a few cars. The car we ended up purchasing wouldn't initially start, but the team put in a new battery to reassure that we'd be okay. Also, there were a few dents that they will be removing in a few weeks. Mike took my request straight to the service department and got me scheduled right away. Also, there was some paperwork that got lost in the shuffle, he hunted them down, and is having it mailed out right away. Not only did Mike sell us a car, we were able to connect on a personal level as well just talking about family and sports. If I go back to Schaumburg Honda, I will seek our Mike Lis. One of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Before I even entered the store, Mike took great care of me. He responded quickly and thoroughly to my emailed questions, followed up with friendly phone calls, and did everything that he could to meet my needs even when the van that I originally wanted was no longer available. When I arrived, he was waiting outside for me with the three vans that I had asked to see lined up and ready to be test driven. He had an extensive knowledge of the different years of the same model and was ensured that any questions that I had were answered. Although I ended up buying the most luxurious of the three vehicles presented, it was not because I felt pressured into it. Mike always gave an unbiased opinion as to the different strengths of each car. Mike was very patient with me and explained everything over again to my wife when she arrived. When it was time to talk price, Mike simply asked what I wanted to do and how he could help me get the car I wanted. I felt empowered in my choice when I said yes to buying the car. Was referred to dealer by another Rohrman dealership. I assisted an elderly personal friend to buy a new car and negotiated a fair price with salesperson, Deron D. I could not accompany my friend at a later date to pick up vehicle, but with deal in hand and agreed to by D.D. and the manager on the floor that day, felt my friend could go without me to pick up the vehicle. Price was jacked up $500 by Deron D., a less than honest person. Elderly person said he was confused and also felt swindled. Subsequent conversations with Deron D. and another sales manager that called me, who was not even part of the original negotiations, were futile. No good explanation as to why they did this other than hes the buyer and could make his own decision AND on the last day of the month?!? Avoid Schaumburg Honda and especially Deron D., who purposely confused and took advantage of an elderly person.

Schamburg Honda have deceiving way of attracting customer. They say on their website "Instant Quote", and "New way to buy - Negotiate Online". At least my experience is there is not such thing. Either way you put your information, Jenny sends you an email saying "Is this the best email address to reach you?", sends you another email saying "Is this the best phone number to contact you?" and then never hear from them again. I requested quote two days back... did not hear anything back from them. After two-three days received email from Mike (automated scripted email) seeking for my feedback. "Did I receive the information I was looking for?" I didn't buy a Car from Schamburg Honda, so don't have an input on other processes or price. But I am glad that I didn't have to find that out. I hope this was one off glitch... but I am writing my experience.

The buying experience that I had with Mike Lis was the most enjoyable I have ever had in buying a new car. Mike distinguished himself from the two other internet sales representatives I had contacted and was the difference in why I went with Schaumburg Honda for my purchase. Right off the bat, he came up with several ideas regarding incentives and financing that I did not get from the other dealers. This was my first internet sales experience in buying a new car and I would say it is now my preferred method and Mike is my preferred go-to-guy.Mike was able to quickly show that he cared about my decision, making the buying process and decision as easy and enjoyable as possible, and guiding me through the process. PLEASE NEVER GO HERE!First and foremost, this dealership is the worst dealership I have ever been to.I had my new car for four days and the check engine light came on. I brought it in slightly irriated and they stated they fixed it. Two days later it came back on. Clearly they never fixed the issue. There Customer Service Manager called me to try and smooth things over and stated he was told that I was difficult. Seriously? I never screamed or cursed because I questioned their work I am difficult? Maybe fixing a car the first time when its 5 days old would make me happier.Save yourselves and never buy or fix your car at this dealership.

I purchased a new car over the weekend-- a 2013 Honda CR-V. My sales rep was Roger Mogle. Roger was super nice and very patient with me throughout the whole decision process. I got a pretty good deal on the car, but more importantly, the process of buying a car wasn't as stressful this time around. Perhaps it's because of Roger and his manager, Jim Martinez. They were both very pleasant to deal with and very knowledgeable about their products and services. I would strongly recommend Roger, Jim and this dealership.

This was my first car-buying experience and, needless to say, I was nervous. I wanted to come to Schaumburg Honda because it was so close to my house. Additionally, I have had relatives purchase vehicles from here before with nothing but positive feedback. Before I came into Schaumburg Honda, I was told to speak with Mike Lis because he was fair and friendly. After I left Schaumburg Honda, he, and the rest of the staff, was that and more. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted kindly and warm. I knew from the beginning what 2 cars I wanted to look at and Mike was nothing but accommodating. During the test drives, he was able to explain what the differences were between the 2 vehicles I tested, as well as pros and cons to both. He was able to answer all my questions. During negotiating, he didn't make me feel overwhelmed with the "process". I told him what I could afford and what features I wanted in my car, and he was able to explain what would and would not work and meet me in the middle. He made the process seem seamless. In the end, I came out with a great car and a great experience. He has kept in touch in the days after the purchase to see how I'm liking my new car and to make sure I'm aware of my follow-up appointments. I received great customer service and I'm definitely happy with my experience at Schaumburg Honda and with Mike Lis. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others in the market for a new/used car!

This was the first car my wife and I purchased. I received a quote from 4 other dealerships-one gave me a quote that was well below the others. However, after speaking with each dealer on the phone, I knew that John Irvine was the one I wanted to deal with. Not only was he very genuine, but he was very helpful and patient in the process of finding us exactly what we wanted. They matched the lowest offer and I went the next day for the test drive. He took time to show the car, all the features and shared what he liked about it. The only thing I didn't see eye to eye was how they worked the buyer's agreement, which I actually found a $500 dollar mistake on (hence the hit on the 'quality of work rating'). Come to find out, it was actually the finance manager's fault- "he does these everyday, how could he make this mistake?" I thought. My trust in them took a hit when that happened. All in all, good buying experience, great price and definitely a great salesman, John Irvine-would I recommend him? Yes, any day.

We went to the dealership looking for a used 7-seat SUV based on the recommendation of some friends. The sales staff was very accommodating (we came with two kids) and low-pressure. We had seen other CX-9s elsewhere and Jerry did a great job getting us a very fair deal on a used CX-9 that they had in stock. We need to get another car for my mother-in-law and we will definitely go back to Schaumburg Honda and happily work with Jerry again.

The employees of this dealership are so friendly. We were very lucky to have Mike Lis as our salesperson. We have bought several carsin the past 10 years (3 from Schaumburg Honda) and have brought many friends to buy. Mike Lis is so knowledgeable and helpful, notto forget his great personality. Five weeks ago we bought a Civic from Mike Lis at Schaumburg Honda. We enjoyed the experience so much, we bought an Accord from him over the weekend. In the interest of full disclosure, we did actually have a desire to buy a second car, so the purchase wasn't only for the purpose of experiencing the excellent service at Schaumburg Honda again. Fortunately, Mike's knowledge and service was just as positive with Accords as it is with Civics. No, we didn't trade in the Civic, and as an update, we are happy to report the Civic has lasted all 5 weeks with no issues. Unfortunately, we were not able to qualify for the "buy one get one free" promotion, which would have saved a bunch of money, but we still got another great car at a great price. When discussing this with friends, they have commented "There is no such thing as buy one get one free on cars", or "What are you talking about?", so I may have been mistaken on the specifics of what promotions are actually offered on cars. Either way, we highly recommend Mike and Schaumburg Honda for your Honda buying needs.

This place is the WORST, every time I use them for service they waste my time, yesterday they replaced my battery, under warranty, I saw my car was done after 1 hour, I told the cashier 5 times my car was in the done aisle, she was just bad, because I kept asking, she had my keys the whole time, she would say that they were doing my paperwork, it took another 1 hour and talking to the service manager to get my car. another time I took it in for a oil change, I had a appointment, after 2 hours I went to the service guy, he couldn't find my car, when they did it was in the back lot sitting there, they never started the oil change, I was so mad I asked for my car back, he said it was on the lift and they had to finish the job, I refused to pay for it, and they agreed, I never got a oil change there again. I live in schaumburg. when my cars out of warranty, I will never step a foot in that dealership again.

This was my first time buying a Honda. The service at Schaumburg Honda was beyond my expectations. I was extremely impressed. The salesperson, Boti Maruta was wonderful. He was very respectful, kind, and very professional. After I took a test drive, we spoke for two hours, negotiating on a price and he was very patient with me and answered my hundreds of questions without any problem. Even though it was late and I was the last client, he was not pushy with me at all. He understood that buying a car was a big deal for me, and even though I left without buying it he was still very kind. I came back two days later and negotiated a great price for the car I wanted, exactly what I was looking for. I am very glad that Boti was my salesperson, he made the entire experience amazing and easy for me. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family. If you are looking for a professional, kind, and patient salesperson, I recommend Boti 100%.

The salesperson I had was very good, Mike Lis. I had lower offers from other dealers but chose this dealership because of his approach with me. He was thorough and respectful. He did what he said he would and followed up, but wasn't pushy or bothersome.I was not as pleased with the manager, Jim Martinez. I felt he talked down to me, as if I wasn't smart enough to follow along with his reasoning. I didn't care about his reasoning, I simply wanted more money for my trade, period. We finally negotiated the new car down an additional $200. Now for this, shame on me because I shouldn't have trusted him, but that $200 was added back on in my transaction. With all the rush in the end because it was taking so long, I didn't go over that number until later and then discovered what had been done.So I would recommend this dealership for the salesperson, but NOT the manager. I would steer clear of Mr.Martinez, who shook my hand on a deal and then promptly went back and changed it without talking to me anymore. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me and that will NOT happen.

I just wanted to share my experience with this dealership tonight.I have been to 3 different dealerships this week, and none has been as bad as the experience I received at this dealership.To set the context, I was looking to trade in my current Audi to pick a new Honda Civic LX as a third car - having done my research I knew what to expect and was all set to buy the vehicle right there if they had just treated me right. First up, I was told that I had to work with Scott Carson - we got started immediately with appraising the car that I was trading in - their first quote was a third of the KBB trade in FAIR price (and about 60% lower than any of the other dealers I haed been to). Scott ensued into a lengthy description of why KBB puts up inflated values (seriously?).So once we opened up the website and looked up what my car was actually worth, Scott brought in a general manager (Roger) to go over a payment plan. At first Roger insisted that the pricing is the best he could do. I then pointed out an alternate quote that i had from their competition (McGrath Honda) that I had which was about 70$ lower monthly - and the only reason that I was still in the market was because they didn't have the color I wanted - it would take them a week to deliver. After half hour of wrangling, we were down to matching the offer from McGrath. Roger went in to overdrive telling me that there wasn't a dealership that could beat the offer (i think he bet his paycheck in the process). See the thing is, I understand how car dealerships work. I own an Acura and a Nissan. Hell, I do sales for the company I work for. I was okay with the entire song-&-dance so far. What happened next was what turned out quite appalling. I asked for them to do anything better than the offer - heck if they had said they'd do 2$/month lower, I would have signed the papers right there. While we were still speaking, Scott went completely berserk. He started abusing, threw my car keys back at me and essentially screaming on the floor of the dealership I think his last words were " GO OUT - - - THAT'S THE DOOR !!" - with about 50 people looking. I had had enough. As I got back in to my car, Roger caught me as I was pulling out - essentially throwing down the gauntlet that if I didnt get back to him by the end of the day, I could kiss the best offer I am going to get goodbye forever. Interestingly half hour later, he calls me back with a lower quote - which i refused. If this was how I was going to be treated even before I bought the car, I cant imagine how I'd be treated if I went back for anything later. Well, three hours later -> I am sitting at McGrath (who magically traded some car from another dealership for the color I wanted). I am typing out this entire review from my phone as I wait to pick up delivery on the Honda Civic at the same price they had given me earlier. I just found the entire experience extremely distasteful and would never shop from them again.

I had a wonderful experience of working with Mike to purchase my new car at Schaumburg Honda. Mike was honest, direct, and helpful. When there was a clerical mistake with the paperwork, Mike corrected the mistake right away that make me feel like the dealership is trustworthy and I was not being cheated. I highly recommend Mike as the salesperson. In addition, I got excellent price with the car I purchased. Schaumburg Honda was able to match the price of its competitors.

Shopped all summer for a used car for our son we could not afford much and searched online and ads, looked at several "good condition" autos, met with several private and off main st. dealers and was constantly disappointed, came upon an online ad for a used vehicle at Schaumburg Honda and visited on a busy Saturday. Thats when we met MIKE GARGANO whom I believe to be one of the very best salesmen I have ever bought a car from. I have bought many new and used cars and it was certainly a pleasure dealing with MIKE he was knowledgeable about SCHAUMBURG HONDAS available used vehicles MIKE spent a good portion of a busy Saturday with my son and I. I was looking for a late model used car with my son. We were in the process of visiting several dealerships with different makes. Schaumburg Honda was our second visit and we found the right car a little too soon. Andy Shah resolved our dilemma by bringing competitor cars from the used car inventory so my son to look at the Camry and Altima. We were able to get to a decision quickly and get the 6 cylinder Accord they had on the lot (not always easy to find). We also got a good price without having to go through a painful haggling process. Overall, a great buying experience.

First of all -- John Stock is one of the nicest guys personally in my opinion. That being said hes also an awesome guy to buy a car from. We talked on the phone and when my wife and I came in, it was the same in the store. He didnt try to handle us. The price we talked about on the phone was the same as when we got to the store. The only thing we negotiated was the price of my trade. And I told him what we needed and He and his manager made it happen. Overall we are very pleased and happy and we will recommend him to anyone in the market for a car so they can have the same no hassle experience we had. We will definitely be seeing him again any time we need a car. I wish we would of come to him alittle earlier because we had just bought 2 cars from a different dealer recently with a very different experience.. We wont make that mistake again!!!

Mike was great to work with. He was very professional, personable and addressed every question I had regarding my options. He made sure that I understood what each of the Honda models provided and which one met the criteria I was looking for in a new car purchase. After the sale he walked me out to the car and showed me many of the additional features of the car that you would only know about by reading through the manual. Very helpful! Extremely happy with the car I purchased and walked out feeling like I was treated fairly and professionally. Would recommend any of my friends or family to work with Mike on a new car purchase without any concern.

I had initially come to the dealership and dealt with Mike Gargano. He was polite and courteous and knowledgable about each and every car I looked at which made me feel comfortable buying from him. He helped me pick out a vehicle that would best suit my needs and lifestyle and so I had purchased a civic the first time around. Since my experience was so positive the first time, I knew exactly who I would put my trust in with another vehicle purchase. To no avail, Mr. Gargano came through to help me in picking out the best deal and car for my family. NOT BUYERS REMORSE/BUYERS BEWARE!!! F rating with the BBB.On June 20, 2012 While waiting for my oil change and minor repairs I was pleasantly approached by the sale representative by the name of Razzak Khader and his manager Mohammed Hussian.Everything he said allowed me to engage trust and confidence in the purchase. When I asked, Mr. Razzak why there was no sticker price in the window, he stated this was because it's a special edition, and it was what they used as a Demo car. He assured me not to worry that he drives a Mercedes because he deserves it and I deserve a nice car. He said well why wait if you get the price and interest you want? You will save in the long run on upcoming expenses of an older car. Quite frankly it made sense. After we agreed upon a deal, he advised me that they just needed to transfer his figures quoted onto an official contract: He offered me a 4.9% interest rate and payments at $365.00 per month. I told him that $350.00 is the highest payment I could afford.We wrote up the figures on a sheet of paper and he said that the finance guy would draft the final copy and not to worry they would take care of me. After I went into Matt Ashford's office and we discussed my credit rating. I signed a total of seven documents feeling that everything was transferred in the fashion it was presented to me by what Khader had written and verbally told me. After the three of them did everything to distract me I saw on the bottom of the page,$23,000 which I thought minus the $12,000 for my car. Before bed I took out the contract to read it one more time and unbeknownst to me, the contract they drafted had 6.99% interest and payments of $392 per month, for 72 months!!! Mr. Ashford stapled information to the contract covering the core financials above. Why would I take an already high car payment of $280.00 per month and only owe $11,800 for four more years to a payment of $392.00 for six years? How could I afford a now $31,665.60 vehicle? There is no other explanation other than these men orchestrated this intentionally to defraud me! Crooks in Schaumburg!Cindi Koss an advocate said she would come right over and called my attorney who I have known for fifteen years, Robert Arnold. He said it's up to the dealerships discretion but to return the vehicle and ask for my car back. As I walked over to Mr. Khader he looked at me straight faced and said what happened did you buy a warranty or something else. I wasn't in the office so I don't understand why you paid that much. Unfortunately, Mr. Mohammd took a couple days off and that Mr. Ashford had the day off. Mr. Khader told me that he didn't know what happened and why did I sign this contract? He sent over Mr. Shenkman who responded,"This is not his problem, sorry you have buyer's remorse, and that he will personally tow the vehicle back to my house and charge you for a tow if I were to leave the vehicle".

This was my first time buying a new car and Shaumburg Honda made it quite the relaxing experience! I was expecting to have salesmen forcing cars upon me and pressuring me into buying a car, but quite the opposite ended up happening. Everyone was very understanding and the gentleman who helped me out, Mr. Brayfield, made the process as painless as possible. They found the exact car I wanted. There was a minor issue that the car was not on their lot, but they had the car delivered from a different location that same day! I was impressed and they worked with me to give me the best deal possible.Overall I was so comfortable with my decision and Schaumburg had some of the best customer service I have seen. Since I bought my car they have been checking up on how everything is going with the car and answered any questions I have had. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fair and comfortable car buying experience!

I really appreciated finding someone who is straightforward and who keeps his word in the auto business. Mike Lis and I go back a lot of years. The trust factor is very high between us. Thus, I knew I would get a fair deal when looking for a new vehicle. For the past fifteen years, I've been loyal to Toyota: Celica, Camry, Rav4. My fiancee has a 2000 Civic, and she's never had a problem. Schaumburg Honda was the best card buying experience Ive ever had. From the first phone call I placed to check stock and special offers, I felt that I was being treated fairly and with respect. Thats rare in an industry that sees women as an easy mark. There was no hard selling or bait and switch pricing. I appreciated that they prepd two different cars before I arrived without knowing if I was going to buy either of them. That cut at least 45 minutes from what can be a long and tiring process.The service I received from my Sales Consultant, Jason Richmond, was outstanding. I was impressed by his knowledge of different auto makes and models. But his knowledge of the Crosstour and all of its technology really blew me away. He took the time to show me how to use my cell phone with the cars NAV system; syncing the Bluetooth and uploading my phone book for me. I know that if I ever have a question on any option, I can call him and hell be happy to help me.I highly recommend Jason Richmond and his Manager, Jim Martinez.

So I bought a 2003 Lexus RX300 on Monday Feb 20th. Two days later the check engine light and the VSC lights go on, the RPM on the car is very high. I took the car back to Schaumburg Honda and they tested it to see whats wrong with it and it turns out to be the knock sensors. They had the nerve to tell me it's going to cost me $850 to fix it. They either didn't check the car before they sold it or they hid it from me. Either way I picked up my car from them and got it fixed at my own mechanic for $650. DO NOT BUY CARS FROM SCHAUMBURG HONDA, THEY ARE CROOKS!

In 2010, my wife and I purchased a 2011 Honda Civic from Mike Lis at Schaumburg Honda. Two weeks ago, when my second car began having problems, I immediately called Mike Lis to inquire about a used vehicle. I explained to Mike what I was looking for and the importance of getting a bigger vehicle due to the fact that my wife and I had a new baby.Within the day, I got a return phone call from Mike. He had scouted the lot and found several vehicles that fit in the parameters of what I was looking for. He also put a priority on finding vehicles with great safety ratings, something my wife and I both really appreciated.When we went in to look at our options, Mike was just as helpful, friendly and knowledgeable as we remembered. He took the time to educate us on each vehicle, explain any and all warranties on all the vehicles, and most importantly, explain the safety ratings on each vehicle. He explained all the paperwork as we were going through the transaction and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire purchase.However, what struck me about Mike Lis during this purchase, is that he really makes an effort to learn as much as he can about his customers, so that he fully understands what the customer is looking for and what is most important to them. Most salesmen talk at you when selling you a product. Mike Lis talked with me and my wife, and actually listened to us, so that he could help guide us in making the right purchase for our family. Mike Lis had earned my continuing business with our first purchase of a Honda Civic. However, after our most recent purchase of the Honda CR-V, Mike Lis has earned my respect and consumer loyalty. I've never seen a salesman care so much for his clients. I'm just glad I no longer need to look for another car salesman in the future. I only want to work with Mike Lis.

Last year was my first time leasin a car. Jim Martinez gave me amazing service and kept my interest in mind. I was so impressed with the way he dealt with me, that I came back to him this year again. He told me last year, that once you are a Honda customer, you become part of the family and he was right. That's why I came back again this year! By far the best new vehicle purchase experience I have had. I purchased a new 2012 Honda Odyssey at Schaumburg Honda in late October. I live in Minnesota but found the pricing in the Chicago market to be 2k more favorable (no one in Minnesota would even attempt to match Chicago pricing) - with a selection of dealers in Chicago at the about the same price the decision had to be made more the intangibles and fringe benefits. Over a series of 2-3 emails and a call Mike Lis earned my business decisively. Upon an initial email inquiry, Mike called within 10 minutes to clarify my vehicle needs and better understand my unique circumstances. During our discussions we aligned on vehicle, options, price, and coordination (pick up at the airport - since I had to fly in from Minneapolis). He went out of his way to make a great customer experience.On the day of purchase - I ended up missing my flight into Chicago and had to take a later flight. Mike rolled with the inconvenience - on his day off no less. Mike met me at the airport and we had a great 20 minute drive to the dealership. At the dealership it was very efficient - test drive, walk around, financing - Mike even went so far as to sit with me to get the bluetooth feature hooked up between the vehicle and my blackberry before I started the drive back.All in all a great transaction - Mike followed up a few days later to make sure everything was in order - including the process of registration since I bought in IL but live/drove back to MN and gets taxes/registration finalized.I highly recommend Mike and the Schaumburg team - while I am typically a strict price shopper when it comes to commodity type products I would even go so far as to say I would pay a premium to have the honest, smooth transaction with Mike.

OMG I just love my new vehicle and the service was way beyond TOP notch! The help with my decision and explaining my options were again TOP notch! Jim made my experience the best ever and helped me with the financing with Glen GREAT as well! I'm on cloud 9! I just laughed when I saw the latest commercial on TV, and they said they LOVED their Pilot...that would be me!This is the second time I have purchased a vehicle from you all and again a GREAT experience. Thank you again! I could not of asked for a better sales person than Jim Martinez...he was a breath of fresh air to work with and we got the job done. Kind of nice when you are a woman, but I was there to make a deal and he made it happen for me.

I had my car in for an oil change and scheduled maintenence a few months back. I spent close to $1000.00 having fluids and spark plugs changed, along with anything else that Honda suggested be done on my car according to the miles and age of the car. I want my vehicle to last and make sure that I maintain it as best I can. The only thing that had not been done on my car was that the plug on the oil pan was stripped and possibly would need to be replaced at some point, but was fine for now. It is now a few months later and I needed another oil change. I took the car back to Schaumburg Honda since I had such a good experience previously. I also needed to have the stereo reset as i was getting a mechanical error when trying to eject a CD. The first thing the tech did when he checked the mileage was try to sell me scheduled maintenence. He didn't even realize that it was all done a few months prior, until I told him and he looked at the paperwork in his hands. It was blantently obvious that the tech's jobs are to upsell you services that you may or may not need, instead of just assisting the customers. Since there was nothing left to sell me, I went to the waiting/lounge area and was told my car would be done in about an hour. Almost an hour later, a different tech comes out and advises that the plug on the oil pan is bad and not holding anymore and the only remedy is to replace the oil pan. Now, I find it odd that a few months prior it was still ok, but today, it wasn't since you would have only gotten about $25.00 or so from me for an oil change. The guy doing the actual service on the vehicle as well as the tech both told me that the plug was leaking and that it would continue to leak oil. Now, my car sat in the same spot for 10 hours today while i was at work and not a single drop of oil leaked out of it. Yet 30 minutes later, the plug was bad and leaking. I did have the oil pan changed, spending an additional $360.00 (discounted of course because I was slightly irrate) as well as spending an few more hours in your waiting/lounge room. They also attempted to reset my stereo. It is is worse condition then when i brought it in, considering now it doesn't reflect that I even have a CD player!Needless to say, I will not be returning to your facility anytime in the near or distant future. Shaumburg Honda has made approximately $1300 = $1500 on me. I think that is more than enough for this bad life lesson. I just hope this is not how you treat all of your customers.

My husband and I were in the market for a new car and had purchased a Honda Civic from Schaumburg Honda about 7 years ago. We were so pleased with the sales staff and the general experience that we decided to buy our new Honda here again. Of course, being as budget conscience as we are, we had to also check other dealers out and make sure we were getting the best value for our money. We visited Castle Honda first, this was a horrific experience! Very annoying salespeople who talk alot but unfortunately are not very knowledgable. Second we visited Carr's Honda, here we encountered a very pushy salesman who tried to convince me that I didn't really want an Accord, I actually wanted a Civic! This of course not at all related to the fact that he had NO ACCORDS on the lot! Only Civics. AAARRGGGHHH! Finally, we saved the best for last SCHAUMBURG HONDA. I guess I knew I would give them my business, but I had to shop around just a bit. I initially contacted the Internet Sales Manager MIKE LIS. I basically just emailed him exactly what I wanted, the price I wanted to pay and my phone number. Could it be any simpler? Well, immediately the next morning Mike Lis called me and told me that they did have the exact car I was looking for right down to the color! And, the best part, he would take my offer for the car. I was extremely pleased with how easy it was to work with Mike. Being in sales myself, I appreciated his willingness to work with me and his knowledge of the product he is reperesenting. The following day my husband drove out to Schaumburg ( a good 1 hour hike from where we live by the way) to pick up my shiny new 2012 Honda Accord! YAY! We live 5 minutes from the first 2 dealers I mentioned, but Mike Lis was extremely helpful and made this by far the EASIEST car buying experience thus far! Bottom line, if you need a new Honda, call Mike Lis at Schaumburg Honda!

I had a wonderful experience with Schaumburg Honda. We had been researching minivans for a few weeks and decided on a Honda Odyssey. I used the online negotiation tool to get to a mutual price. I was pleased with the ability to negotiate on-line, but still have the ability to pick up the phone when I had the time to talk to someone. Jim was great about getting our paperwork together within 2 hours. He was pleasant to work with and knowledgable about the Odyssey. Jim had the paperwork and minivan ready for us upon arrival. Unfortunately we decided on another vehicle and thus had to wait for it to be prepped and the paperwork drawn up. All in all it was a great experience and I will be referring people to this dealership.

I have used Schaumburg Honda since 2000 and my recent purchase was a 2012 Honda Accord. Jim Rubey has now assisted me in three vehicles since 2005 and I am very pleased with his attitude toward selling cars. In the past, he has gone out of his way to find my daughter a used vehicle. This past week, he sold us our new 2012 Honda Accord. Jim went above and beyond the call of duty. At a time when inventories were low and "colors" were scarce due to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Jim found my wife the color car she wanted at another dealer and had it delivered so we could purchase what we wanted, not just what was available.Kudos to Jim Rubey and the sales staff at Schaumburg Honda.

I recently purchased a new car here at Schaumburg Honda. The salesman Michael Lis was very kind and even price matched my car. I would like to write my review on my experience in the finance department with Jerry Oslance. I've read bad reviews and heard a lot of scams happen when you sign papers in the finance department. I came prepared with a lot of research and paperwork. At the end of the purchase when he was giving me all my receipts I noticed he slipped in "extended warranty" that would cost me an extra $1,675 into the purchase! I told him I wasn't interested and that I wanted to compare other extended warranties online first. I told him I would come back within a few days if I changed my mind. But then came the PUSH. (Commission maybe?) He kept me there for ANOTHER HOUR telling me this was the BEST coverage, that I would even get free oil changes, and that he would upgrade it to Honda Care a premium coverage. It was close to 11pm and I was getting frustrated. He then told me it was no risk, if I signed today he would give me 100% refund, no fees no complicated paperwork just call if I wanted to cancel. So I signed. BIG MISTAKE! I did my research and read the fine print. After finding another company that covered wear and tear (Honda Care ONLY covers mechanical breakdown) I called and told him I wanted to cancel. He was rude and kept me on the phone telling me I shouldn't cancel the warranty. I told him no. He then told me I would have to then GO to the dealership myself and sign the paper! I didn't want to see him at this point and asked him to mail it to me. It came in the mail stating I had to pay close to $200 to cancel the thing!! I went to see Jerry. He then told me calmly like he had forgotten our whole conversation that I would have to pay and it wasn't the dealerships responsibility. He THEN realized he had sent me the THE WRONG WARRANTY FORM and that I needed to sign a DIFFERENT one to cancel. (Which I hope was an honest mistake- and not a scam to keep my warranty running!) And just a note this form takes 4-6weeks to process (in which I have to STILL pay finance charges for and the same monthly balance) to cancel this thing! If you're purchasing a car just do plenty of research and make sure to read all the fine print on your receipts. I Googled car buying tips and came to some really helpful information. Honda's are good cars, and Michael Lis was nice. But I wish I had more good and honest service from Jerry Oslance. Because of his service this was a typical dealership experience.

Jim Martinez was straight with me from beginning to end. He gave me a price in writing and lived up to the price. When I told him I wasn't interested in any add-ons or extras, not only wasn't he pushy, he didn't even bring it up a second time. I went to a dealer with a better price first, and that dealer lied to me and wouldn't live up to what he had given me in writing. Jim's price was $100 more, but he agreed to match the price and we had our new car four hours later.

He is a very knowledgeable and no nonsense person who works to meets the needs and wants of his customers. He really made the purchase of both of our Hondas a smooth & simple process.

I used the internet sales department and was contacted almost immediately by Jim Martinez. I had contacted a couple other dealerships, but we decided to go with Schaumburg Honda for convenience. Upon meeting Jim, and explaining that we had extremely limited time - he quickly jumped into action. He acted like a "normal" salesperson - not pushy, not playing games, just spoke to us as people that wanted a car, and sought to help us. Which he did. He was knowledgeable and focused on getting us out of the dealership as quickly as possible. Further, the price he gave us was exactly how much the lowest quote we received was. Finally, his follow up has been superb. I dislike having to deal with salespeople, and I must admit, I walked in with a chip on my shoulder...waiting to be sold on extras, and to be "ripped off." Quickly, I realized Jim was just a good guy, trying to make a living - but not off of our backs. He was just trying to ensure that the dealership - and us- received a fair deal.I highly recommend Jim. He offered us an excellent deal and excellent service.

Waited almost a week to get a phone call returned with the statement "I will see what my manager says." Now after making several more calls I am waiting another 5 days and counting to hear what the manager said. Purchased a used car with the assurance that all the little things worked and some do not. Even asked if I needed to test all these little things and was assured they check their used cars out and fix anything that needs fixing.Hope my next posting will be more positive.

Our most recent purchase was a 2011 Honda CRV for my mother. My mother required extra time and patience from Mike in order to feel comfortable with the transaction. She came to the dealership 2 times in 1 day for test drives and he was more then happy to see her! The day of the actual purchase went very smooth. Mike Lis made the tedious process of purchasing a vehicle enjoyable. I was way under miles on my 2010 Accord lease & saw some Honda incentives on a 2011 so I decided to look into trading & leasing a new (better) Accord. Not many Honda dealers had Accord Coupes & even fewer had the V6 option I wanted so I started working with the dealers I had heard of - McGrath (who'd I'd purchased *2* cars from in the last *15 months*) & Schaumburg (who I'd heard of but never dealt with).The negotiation process was pleasant enough with both - Schaumburg taking the edge because of their new online negotiation tool/process (as opposed to McGraths reluctance to leave the old style 'force em to come in & beat em up' method) but the biggest difference was price/trust. Schaumburg had a better deal and was willing to agree to the deal before I came in (it was a bit of a drive).So they got my business this time, and most assuredly will the next times as well.I cannot for the life of me understand why McGrath would let a repeat customer leave their franchise and go to another because of their unwillingness to get closer to invoice & make a few bucks less... Oh well. I pickup the car tonight & will update this review if anything strange happens - but based on Mike & Jim's great service so far, I highly doubt it. Schaumburg Honda is the new place I'll send anyone who asks!

I've always liked this dealership. Their service department is the best you'll find anywhere, but I've never bought a car there until now. While I don't have the same level of trust with the new car department as the service department, overall this was a good buying experience. I purchased a Civic hybrid and I had to pay sticker price. When they tell you there are very few cars available (especially hybrids, which come from Japan), they're not lying. So as consumers, right now, we have absolutely no leverage. However, there were some really nice things about the buying experience. They clearly itemized everything I would be charged for at the beginning and we both signed onto it. There were no confusing scrawls on a piece of paper and surprises later. All of the additional charges that came (such as the document fees), I had been made aware of. They did add mud guards to my car, but when they saw that I had not asked for these, they gave them to me free. I'm not sure if other dealerships do this, but the car also came with a full tank of gas, a nice little extra that I didn't expect. They also worked it out to get me the car when it came in, even though my main salesman had the day off. They are indeed aggressive in selling the extended warranty--obviously there must be a huge profit margin involved. I confess that I did buy it after they reduced the price a bit. I'm not sure if I did the right thing or not. If I get hassled about canceling my warranty if I don't get work done (Another reviewer complained of this.), I will be very irritated. This was my fifth Honda and the buying experience overall ranks as one of the two best.

Jim Martinez was the best car salesman I have ever worked with. I never thought that I would enjoy buying a car, but with Jim, I did. He was honest, courteous and extremely helpful. He returned all of my calls and emails. He followed up after I purchased the car regarding things that were not even in his department. I can't say enough about him. Thanks Jim. You were great!

I bought a new CRV from Jim Martinez at Schaumburg Honda on 06/06/11. I came here because of other dealerrater.com positive reviews, and I'm glad I did. Martinez was great to work with ! I live in McHenry County and BIPASSED the Honda in Crystal Lake because of the worst car buying experience ever there (about 10 years ago when it was Crystal Lake Honda)(it almost got dangerous)(for the salesman). I told Martinez what I was looking for and that I did not want any trickery. This car was for my wife and we agreed that if we felt like we were getting hosed we were leaving. Martinez said he understood our concerns, was polite and friendly throughout, explained the cars features, was honest and fair with the pricing, and made the car buying experience....pretty good. Next, we spoke with Matt Ashford in financing, who was friendly and we got a good financing rate. I had a GOOD experience here and would recommend Jim Martinez, Matt Ashford and Schaumburg Honda to others.

While unusual for a car dealership, there was no pressure during the sales process, a lot of good information was provided, and the transaction was executed in a very efficient manner. Our sales person was knowledgeable and low key. The Finance Manager, in addition to being good at his job, offered up some great advice.

Mike Lis was a dream to work with. I was in a difficult situation because I was purchasing my Honda long distance during the final days of the 0.9% financing deal. On the evening that I called, I was stressed out, but Mike remained hopeful. He immediately got to work on a price-match for me (I had a quote from another dealership). As the deal began to take shape over the next couple of days, Mike made himself available (even at inconvenient hours), patiently answered all of my questions (I am a first-time buyer) and offered creative approaches to solving any dilemma that arose. Where time and distance were obstacles, he sent paperwork next-day; where getting the car in the color that I wanted required frustrating negotiations and "waiting it out," he did just that. There were a few important hiccups in the process but those were quickly noted and resolved.In my opinion, Mike went beyond the call of duty. We had a wonderful experience purchasing our new 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L with Michael Lis at Schaumburg Honda.We were originally working with McGrath Honda in Elgin. We were drawn to them by their location and impressive new dealership. The salesman was nice, but I never felt comfortable working with the sales manager. We found in the end that they were not honest with us and tried to sell us a "new" van with 500 miles on it, instead of the promised 11 miles, from another McGrath location in the city. Not to mention, they tried to sell us on a cheap rear entertainment unit and were overcharging us. We knew something wasn't quite right when they wouldn't provide the name and model number of the DVD unit.Once this became clear to us that they were trying to pull a fast one, I immediately called Mike to set up a time to look at the vans that he had available. He was very accommodating of our crazy schedule. I was able to see 2 vans that were in the color that I was interested in and test drive them both. I was very happy that I was able to receive the price for the van that was exactly what I had researched on-line. Even though my husband couldn't join me, I didn't feel well, and had two little boys in tow, I was able to get through the process without having to go back and forth on price between Mike and a sales manager. Needless to say, if I couldn't get the van purchased that night, we would have put off our car buying purchase for a least a couple of weeks if not longer. Who knew that car buying could be so easy! We were so happy to be able to pick up our new Odyssey yesterday and again, Mike was more than willing to work around our schedule (on short notice) and get us in and out in less than 30 minutes. We were so excited to be able to surprise our two boys in the pick-up lane at school today with a new van! That isn't something that you get to do everyday, especially when you keep your vans for 10 years! Even though we weren't able to stay and learn all about the van and its features, Mike offered for us to come back anytime for "our lesson". For me, half the fun is figuring it out myself.This is our second purchase at Schaumburg Honda and our 5th Honda. We will be coming back to Schaumburg Honda for our next Honda purchase and hope that Mike will be there to help us. They are doing things right! I'll be sending everyone I know their way!If you want a no hassle, no haggle car buying experience, Mike Lis is the guy for you. I just wish I would have started the process with him in the 1st place, but then again, I probably wouldn't have appreciated it so much.

Timely Service completionDropped off vehicle at SCH honda at 7am and asked for 9am delivery back. There were 10 cars ahead and inspite of that Veto ensured my car was ready by 9am. My replacement car was available as promised. Car was washed and ready for pickup as promised. Very good service

- Up-sold a car that you cannot afford - Was not upfront that the car you are looking for is not available - Added an unnecessary accessory because it just 'comes with the car' in-spite of me clearly stating i don't need it - Added couple of accessories with twice the price and did not show the real price- Used Japan disaster as a car shortage crisis to sell - The Finance side was unbearable - he will push the extended warranty !! - Arrange for your financing. Immense pressure to take their financing!!! Also - Took the brand new car with just 400 miles (7 days old) in with 'check airbag system' light on -- supposedly a wire was not plugged in well under the passenger seat -- hope it is fixed and gone for ever. The service manager who dealt with us was a good guy!

So, I bought a 2011 Honda Odyssey Saturday. I had narrowed my new car search to Toyota and Honda. Honda won. The main reason was the many car reviews I read, and something called "true cost to own". Schaumburg Honda won my business because of price, and the communications with salesman Mike Lis. I was determined to do as much research, and deal-making as possible via the internet to eliminate time and haggle hassle at a dealership. Only two dealerships out of the ten that I communicated with even came close. Mike came closer than anyone in exactly meeting my needs and expectations for making an internet sale. I am hoping that this is the way of the future. Mike made contact with me often, but not TOO often. He returned email and phone calls as promised, providing any and all information I requested. Mike was very candid and honest when answering my questions, which is very important when you're spending that kind of money (new car).

Our original intention was to go to a dealership in Highland Park because it was closer to my mom's house(we were buying her the car, but decided it was worth the trip to Schaumburg to meet with Jim and we couldn't have been happier!

This review is a difficult one to write. I have had a good relationship over the years at Schaumburg Honda. My father purchased cars there years back and knew the General Manager well, I purchased a Honda Odyssey in 2000 and helped my brother-in-law purchase a Honda Civic Hybrid there a few years back. Recently, I was in the market for a 2011 Odyssey Touring Elite. I emailed several dealers and was initially impressed that Schaumburg Honda had more than one car. I came into the dealer on a busy Saturday and was assisted by Jim Martinez, the same individual responding to my emails. Jim was excellent in his knowledge of the car and the time he spent with me. Though very busy, he really took the time to show me what the car could do and go on a test drive. However, everything pretty much fell apart when it came to the price. At the time, I told Jim that other dealers were coming up about $1,000 or so lower than Schaumburg Honda. Instead of pushing forward in our negotiation, Jim dismissed the other dealers and effectively challenged me to check dealerrater.com and see that Schaumburg Honda was simply more honest and should earn my business based upon quality of service alone. He kept stating that he would not sell under invoice, but no one I was looking at was selling under invoice and I had a fair idea what the invoice price was from my research. Well, I did check dealerrater (and appreciated the tip from Jim, by the way). Yes, one dealer I was trying to work with had a much lower rating, but several others were actually a bit higher (though Schaumburg is highly rated). I found another dealer that quoted a price that was even lower than my lowest (about $1,700 lower, which quote included an accessory package that was overpriced, but which Jim was not including in his price)--by the way this price was above invoice (no one is going out of business here). Jim had emailed me to thank me for the test drive and I emailed back to note that I was seriously considering going to another dealer as I could not pass up an opportunity to save that much money. Jim did not respond. Then, a customer service person called me from Schaumburg Honda to talk about my experience. We talked for a time and he asked if he could help. I noted that I was really looking for Jim to respond that he was willing to have me come in and work down that price. Jim again did not respond by either phone or email. In the end, I purchased from the other dealership and saved that $1,700. In the end, I appreciated Jim's professionalism, but was very disappointed about the lack of effort to earn my business or apparently believe I was serious about finding the combination of the best dealer and the best price. In the end, it seems Schaumburg Honda gambled and lost. Yes, you will receive a very professional approach at Schaumburg Honda, but at my experience tells me you won't receive a very competitive price or a willingness to match up with the market.

I was in the market for a low mileage used Honda Ridgeline. I inquired about one I found online with Mike Gargano. I spoke with numerous dealerships and salespeople about Ridglines and without question Mike was the most impressive salesperson I dealt with.First off Mike knew his stuff about the Ridgelines in general, but also the detailed history of this particular truck. He was also upfront and forward, no traditional sales tactics that exemplify your stereotypical used car salesman. He was very professional. He was never pushy or high pressure and I appreciated that.In the end I went with a vehicle from another dealership but only because of an issue that was out of the dealership and Mike's hands. Because their vehicle was an 07 I was not able to secure the same finance rate as I would have on an 08 or newer. I second guess my decision because I trusted Mike and Schaumburg Honda more than any dealer I dealt with in the process. If i'm ever in the market for another Honda again I will not hesistate to contact Mike to see what he can do. I would certainly recommend Mike and Schaumburg Honda to anyone.

I sent in for a few quotes over the web for a few dealerships, and Jim Martinez at Schaumburg Honda was the most attentive to meeting my needs. He spent time on the phone listening to my needs and for what I was looking for in a car. He set up an appointment, and made sure that the car I was looking for would be waiting there for me to test drive. I did my homework before visiting the dealership, and I knew exactly what price I wanted to pay for my new CRV when I walked in. I had talked with him on the phone earlier regarding the exact vehicle I wanted and indicated that I wanted his best price. The price he quoted was the best of those I received, and, contrary to what my experiences have been with some other dealers, he deliverd exactly what he said he would do. He was exceptionally good in the way he took care of every detail of the transaction. This purchase from a dealership over 100 miles away made me feel just like I did when I used to be able to buy a car from a local dealer I knew personally and considered a friend.

I began my car purchase effort by soliciting quotes via email. Mike responded quickly and with a personal phone call. He listened carefully to what I wanted and did not try to sell me something other than that. He spent time with us to ensure we understood the car's features. He was also sensitive to the fact that I was sad to trade-in my old car after 14 years. He even took a picture of it for me and electronically sent it to me. I feel he was fair on the price as well. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend Mike.

We made our initial stop at the Bob Rohman dealership, had ALL our questions expertly answered, and then visited two more local Honda Dealerships and also contacted two others online before returning to Schaumburg to make our purchase simply because we felt much more comfortable in their showroom with their salesmen! I was looking for my first new car in over 14 years. I visited Schaumburg Honda and was first helped by Jack Gusciora. He was very pleasant and helpful. He knew a lot about the car I was interested in and answered all my questions. He took me on a test drive in a CR-V and wasn't pushy at all. That was wonderful. I decided to think about it and left. He texted, emailed and called me to check up on my visit which I thought was a nice touch. I went to several other dealers (not Honda) over the next week just to compare vehicles. I came back to Honda and test drove the Odyssey and the Accord. This time Jack was busy so I was helped by Mike Lis. Mike is a sales veteran and it shows! He was very patient with me as well and even though he gave me agressive pricing on an Accord (helped by the wonderful Ryan Rohrman), I still wasn't ready to make a decision. Mike was very gracious and I left yet again. A few days later, I decided to look at yet another Honda, this time the Fit. I have a hard time making decisions and wasn't really sure what I wanted but Mike was again very patient and took me on a test drive. Jack and Ryan were also there and talked to me a lot about the vehicle. Everyone was very helpful and put up with all my indecisiveness. I left to think about it and said I would be back later in the day. When I returned I drove the Fit one more time and decided it was finally time to buy. Mike made the process as painless as possible and answered all my questions. Glenn in finance was also great and helpful. They had awesome dealer ratings from dealerrater.com so I felt secure that they would be great to deal with. Overall I had a pleasant experience. I would send anyone to Schaumburg Honda. Jim Martinez at Shaumburg Honda is really good. Not your typical "car salesman". He doesn't insult your intelligence on car prices. He knows that everyone has access to Kelly Blue Book so he deals fairly on prices. He gave a fair price on our trade in and discounted our new Odyssey. He also didn't play the 'break down the customer waiting game'.

I was very happy with my experience with Schaumburg Honda and Mike Gargano.My wife and I leased a 2011 Honda Odyssey EX-L SEL from this store. We have been waiting for this car to come out for quite some time, our old lease was up in May but we extended it so that we could take a look at the new Odyssey when it came out. My wife went back to the dealer we leased the original Odyssey from to test drive the 2011 Odyssey and look at the numbers. After some haggling, some run around and some bad vibes the best they could do was not what we were expecting so she walked away. I thought to check to see if their final offer was a good one so I went online and requested quotes from several other Honda Dealers. I was called back by Mike Gargano in less than an hour and he gave me a quote $10 less than the dealer we thought would give us the best deal. Then he was able to make a deal on our lease trade-in that the other dealer didnt think was worth it. So not only did he beat them by $10 originally, he then was able to bring my lease price down another $30! I had to come into the dealer to make sure this deal was for real. The next day, I went to the store to see Mike and he put the deal in writing. The rest was all very easy. I scheduled a time on Saturday for my wife to view the car Mike and I decided on and within two hours we drove away with the new 2011 Honda Odyssey.Thank you Schaumburg Honda for making my experience a very positive one.

I like this dealership very much and have purchased at least 4 cars here. A real secret is their service department is open until Midnight. I like going in for an oil change late, like 9pm. While they are doing the oil change, I walking across the street to Red Lobster & have a beer and an appetizer at the bar. When I'm done, so is my car. Every dealership should be open late like this. PS: I did this last Monday night during the Monday Night Football game and it gave me something worth watching at the bar. How many people say getting an oil change is a fun night out?

I was in and out of the dealership in less than 2 hours with a very nice car at a very fair price. I though Jim was very honest and fair and I would definitely buy another car from him. I worked at a dealership for 36 years so buying a car was always a simple project. The dealership closed in December of 2006. Now that I no longer work for a dealership car buying creates a fear I am not accustomed to. That being said. Jim made our buying expierence a non-stressful pleasant experience. We felt that he truly cared about us and wanted us to be comfortable with our buying decisions. Jim is a great guy and a lot of fun to work with. We purchased two cars at the same time and drove out feeling great with our decisions. I might add the two Honda's we bought are our first Import vehicles and we love them both.

I bought a brand new 2010 CR-V from this dealership. Jim Martinez is a good salesman at Schaumburg Honda, but his boss Roger is a very sleazy salesman. I got to work with Jim while buying my new car, but as negotiations proceeded, Roger entered the scene and was extremely rude and pushy. At the very end, they offered me a free remote start option that I pointed to in the brochure and that was the only reason why I accepted their offer. After installation, I found out that it was not a Honda one, but a 3rd party platic push button with no indicator lights on it. Now they tell me how good the plastic 3rd party remote is and how bad the Honda one (with LCD display and indicators) is.

Jim was very attentive and listened to what I wanted and didn't want in a car. He answered my questions and the test drive was great. I came in with my husband to purchase but once he found I was making the decision and the purchase, he addressed me directly, not my husband. I find that very refreshing. He worked with me to keep the purchase within my price range and budget, but was very above board in bottom line pricing as well as finance charges and monthly payments. He was not at all pushy and I did not feel any pressure to purchase on that day, or even from him. I am very happy with my new car and at this point would definitely go back and purchase another vehicle from that dealership and from that salesman.

I bought a new 2010 Honda Civic LX from Jim Martinez and it was a great experience. I had visited other Honda dealers in the area and all of them gave me an uncomfortable feeling. Jim is the only person i've talked to that i was totally comfortable working with. There was no bs or hidden fees with him.He provided me with a great OTD cost to a vehicle via email (which some dealers wouldn't even do) and then remembered important details from our phone conversation. When i arrived at the dealership to purchase the vehicle Jim remembered i didn't want any additional features or items and never even brought them up.I'm referring everyone i talk to that needs to buy a car to Jim and as long as i live in the area I don't plan on dealing with anyone else.

Michael Lis immediately made the sale all about my needs as a prospective automobile purchaser. He asked specific questions to determine the best automobile for me and my wife. Prior to the test drive, he explained everything about the Civic, leaving no stone unturned. After the test drive and once we agreed the Civic was the car for us, Michael Lis reviewed the entire car manual with us, immensely improving our knowledge of the automobile. Furthermore, once my wife and I decided to purchase the Civic, Michael Lis thoroughly explained every document that we had to sign, ensuring that we fully understood the financial transaction and the warranty that Honda provides. Initially, I met with Jim Martinez and had a test drive on a new 2009 Accord. I was sort of lukewarm on purchasing a new car since my current Buick ran just fine, but I knew at some point in the near future, I would have to replace it. I did some research on the new Accords and had the wonderful previous experience of owning a '93 Accord EX for 16 years. Jim was very knowledgeable about the Accords, especially when it came to the specifications. He presented himself very professionally, had a great sense of humor, and did not make me feel pressured at any time. I would have walked away if I had been pressured.I purchased my new 2010 Accord EX from Jim and Schaumburg Honda because I felt that I was receiving a fair deal, my questions were answered, I was treated respectfully, and I wanted to purchase from a locale that was close in proximity to my home for my future service work.I fully expect to continue doing business with Jim as the need arises and would be very comfortable referring business to him. I purchased my Honda Civic at Schaumburg Honda in 2000. I have maintained it there exclusively other than for routine oil changes. I find the service to be excellent. If I can wait on certain repairs/maintenance I am always given that information-"there is some rust on the pipe and it will need replacing probably in about 6 months but not immediately"-and other examples of that nature. I do have knowledgeable relatives in the field and always ask their opinions (after I have had the work done but they don't know that!) and they are always in agreement with the recommendations of the service department. I am on a fixed income and need my car to continue to run. So far, Schaumburg Honda has helped to make that happen. I like the fact that the parts are available on site and that all of my car's information is in their system. Personnel have been unfailingly friendly and courteous and I feel quite comfortable there. I recently had a failed battery replaced-no charge to me. And because my car's history is there, they knew when the battery had been initially purchased and all other pertinent information that pertained to the battery. I highly recommend Schaumburg Honda.

Jim handled the process in a professional and friendly manner. I drug out the sales process over a very long period of time due to a variety of factors, but Jim kept excellent followup without becoming annoying (which is a hard thing to accomplish). I think Jim did a very good job with me. I would recommend Jim to others looking to purchase a Honda.

I wnet online to check out prices and Mike responded quickly with a quote. I had entered one item by mistake and he then quoted again without the additional item. We scheduled a time to meet and he was courteous and helpful. My only complaint, which was not his doing, was to pay for options which were on the car and for my needs unnecessary.Mike was interested in helping me learn my new car and I thanked him for his attentiveness.

Boti was extremely helpful and patient. He took a lot of time going over each feature and making sure that I was satisfied and happy. He also had made test drive different cars, so that I was satisfied. He stayed there 3 hours past closing time to make sure I was happy and knew all the features my mini van had to offer. He was very professional, and kind. I bought a 2010 Pilot last September, and had a great experience when buying the car. I even bought the extended warrenties and the free oil changes for life.I have since brought the car in twice for oil changes, the first time at 6,000 miles they said I needed to rotate the tires (which I did for an additional charge). Last week I took the care in again for the oil change (13,000 miles are now on the car) and was told I needed to have the differential fluid checked, the brakes checked, the windshield wipers changed (among a laundry list of items).... total this was going to cost me $250. And if I didn't have the differential fluid checked ($99) my warrenty would be void.There are multiple things I feel are dishonest about this.1. Paying to have something "checked" while the car is under warrenty--- I am happy to pay for repairs that are due to wear and tear on the car, but to to just check a indicator light that comes on while the car in under warrenty.2. Trust in what needs to be done-- the maintenence discriptions listed out in the booklets when you buy the car do not align with what I was being told in the dealership. When I spoke with Honda, they said to trust the car indicator lights.3. I felt threatened with voiding my warrenty inorder to have the service done right then.4. After speaking with Honda Corporate, I was told to fax in a copy of my reciept for the differential fluid, to see if that was a premature service, at which point it would be covered under my warrenty. Why didn't the dealership tell me that or question the need to service the differential fluid?I have now driven 4 cars off lots brand new in my life, and I have had to look at anything other than oil, tire rotation and windshield wipers so early. I have now owned the car 9 months and if I had known this before I bought the car I would not have purchases from Shaumburg Honda, and would have asked more questionsed about anticipated maintenence costs.

I really appreciated Jim's friendliness and the fact that he wasn't pushy. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle that I was purchasing. Jim also considered my price range and the type of vehicle I was looking for. The used vehicle that I decided to purchase did not have a second set of keys or a second remote. Jim has contacted the sellers of the vehicle to obtain the second set of keys. He has also offered to have a second set of keys made at his cost if the sellers do not provide them. I appreciate Jim's efforts with this matter. It was a pleasurable experience purchsing this car.

I did a test drive of a Honda Accord at another dealership and Schaumburg Honda was one of the dealerships I called to get an Internet quote. The salesman came on the line and when I told him what I wanted, he responded very arrogantly. He said that Schaumburg Honda is the biggest in Chicagoland, and if I wanted to get a quote, I had to come in. When I told him I was going to buy a Honda Accord that weekend, he finally did respond with a quote, but it did not include the transport fee and wasn't even in the ballpark. Even if it was in the ballpark, I wouldn't have bought from him because he was so rude and arrogant.

Scott could tell the first time I came into the dealership that I was just gathering information and I was not ready to purchase yet, so he didn't push me too much and backed off politely when it was obvious I was not ready. When I came back the second time and was ready, he had everything all prepared and the transaction was easy and painless. This is my third leased vehicle from Schaumburg Honda and I have always been treated well in both the sales department and the service department. My experience was good enough that my niece also purchased a CRV from Schaumburg Honda.

This was the easiest new vehicle purchase we've done to date. Jim Martinez and Joe Piscopo are a great team. The dealership had the selection and gave us a price we could live with. I came in here looking for a specific '10 Accord and Terry and Jason went above and beyond the normal expectation of great customer service. This is my third car I have purchased from Schaumburg, and the personable, friendly, and inviting atmosphere these two respectable people provide really wowed me. These types of people are not something you typically see in a car dealer. Honda makes a great product, and this dealership is professional all the way around in presenting the benefits of Honda vehicles. At no point during the sale was Jason forcing me to get something I didn't want. Being a sales manager myself, Jason and later Terry, who honestly seemed happy to have my business, went through all the proper steps to qualify me and get me the car I wanted. Heck, they even found the exact trim and color I wanted and got it from another dealer within a day!! Now that's customer service!! I will recommend these guys to everyone I know. Just a good, honest, genuine experience all the way from beginning to end, not to mention working out a great price. If you want an excellent car from some caring and honest guys, head over there! We recently bought a 2010 CRV from Greg Soja at Schaumburg Honda . This is the 6th Honda vehicle we have owned and the first we bought Schaumburg Honda. We asked for prices from 2 other dealers, including the one where we bought the first 5. Greg's quote was the first one to arrive, he was the first to call and the most proactive to get our business without being pushy. We got an excellent price as well as a terrific trade-in offer for our 12 year old Odyssey that the other dealers could not match. Everyone we worked with was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Greg Soja and will absolutely return for our next Honda.

Jim and Mike were a real pleasure to deal with. From the very first phone call I made to the dealership to the final sale. I have not had such a pleasure buying a car. Not only did they know the new "used" car very well, they took us for a test drive and closed the deal all in under 2 hours. AMAZING in my book. The communication and service that I receive on the first and second visit was great. It took me two months over the phone to finally make it in dealing with Jim over the phone. When I went in, I was greeted at the door by him with the car he promised(an even better one since the demo was not in the shape that he had origanlly thought. I recieved a fair price and a payment I could afford. I felt respected and never felt pushed to do something I wasn't comfortable doing. The finanace person was also very prolite and courteous and gave me a better deal than I expected. I ill always reccomend Honda and this particular dealership to anyone I know who is looking for great service and a great car.

Low price, hassle free, friendly service by all involved from the dealership. I was in and out within an hour and a half which is a shortertime then I have spent in other dealerships just waiting for the estimaton my trade in. This was the best buying experience i have ever had in any dealership!!!

Jim was great to work with. He was straight-forward and honest which is hard to find in a salesman. He answered all our questions and would get back to us in a timely manner if we called in. He also prepared much of our paperwork before we got into the dealership on signing day so we could get out as quickly as possible as we had a toddler with us. Before we left he made sure we knew how to work all the features of our new Pilot. We would definatly work with him again for the purchase of our next car.

I bought my first Honda, a Civic Sedan, 10 years ago at this dealership. I have had an excellent experience with the Service Department during this entire time, and planned to buy a new Honda this year at this dealership. My Civic broke down, and the cost to repair it was too great for a 10-year old car with 169,000 miles, so I decided to buy the new car immediately. I had previously looked at the Fit in the showroom, and Mr. Irvine came by to show me some of its feature, some of which I was aware, but some I was not. It was a very good experience so, when I needed to buy the new car, I asked for him. The sales experience was excellent - I was never subjected to pressure, all my questions were answered, and I wound up getting exactly the car I wanted. I feel the price was fair; it was unfortunate that my Civic dropped drastically in value because of the repairs needed, but I believe I was treated fairly and I am very happy with the new Fit!

Recently I shopped for a Honda Accord LX (2010) on the internet to reduce the hassle in car buying. I requested prices on vehicles from local dealerships through edmunds.com. I was contacted by many and provided purchase prices on the vehicles. I began the buying experience by going to a Honda dealer in Des Plaines. I was treated poorly and the salesman wanted to only deal with my husband who was not the purchaser of the vehicle. I felt offended had a headache and went home, only to be contacted by JIM MARTINEZ of SCHAUMBURG HONDA. Jim was pleasant, informative, and genuinely concerned with my car buying needs. He was patient and listened to what make, model, price, exterior and interior color I was looking for in the vehicle to ensure that he provided me with exactly what I wanted. In addition he asked what the other dealer had done wrong and advised me that he had taken additional training to assist with women consumers. Jim also mentioned that this would not happen to me at Schaumburg Honda. I made an appt. to see JIM MARTINEZ. He was not pushy, condescending or obnoxious as some individuals can be who are selling you a car. This is the seventh vehicle I have purchased in my lifetime and I can truly say that JIM MARTINEZ and SCHAUMBURG HONDA made my car buying experience, unique and enjoyable. It was so pleasant that my husband ended up buying a car that day as well and he had no intention on doing so when we left the house that day. I accompanied my wife when she went to purchase a car from Jim Martinez at Schaumburg Honda. The whole process was so fantastic that I ended up buying a new car myself as well. Reason being was the sales person, Jim Martinez was a really good guy to deal with. He didn't play any games or apply any pressure to me or my wife. For the past 28 years I have been trading in my cars once every 7 years and I never thought I would find someone that I actually would go back to and buy another car from. Jim by far is the best salesperson I have ever dealt with. He gave me and my wife two great deals. His communication skills are excellent, and he definitely saved us some money without compromising what we wanted. Jim referred me to the finance manager Anthony Audino who was equally as forthcoming and nice. Jim was very knowledgeable and patient and took the time to show me everything on my new car. He explained everything and left no question unanswered, by the time he was done, I was ready to enjoy the car. I had submitted a request for a quote on Honda's website and was promptly called by Jim Martinez. I wasn't able to answer his call, but he left a pleasant message asking that I call him back when I had a moment. Instead of calling Jim back, I decided to stop into Schaumburg Honda a few days later. Even without an appointment, Jim took over three hours to go through the "in's and out's" of three different vehicles with me. He patiently listened to what I was looking for in a new car, assisted me in eliminating vehicles that didn't fit my needs, and ultimately made the stressful/daunting task of buying a new car easy and fun (like it should be). Jim had a great sense of humor that immediately made me feel at ease and no question I asked was perceived as "dumb." By the time the paperwork was signed, the dealership was closing, but Jim happily sat in my new car with me to go through the Navigation system, helped me set up my phone's bluetooth with the car, showed me security features, etc. By far, the best car shopping experience I have ever had. I went to Schaumburg Honda because through e-mail they said they would match other dealers prices. When i got there and started talking numbers, they were higher then other places and what i was quoted but in the end i got everything i wanted in the price. I truly believe that if they just dropped the whole 'haggling' process and truly just gave the lowest prices available (truly haggle-free) that people would flock to them and they could really rake in the customers. But then again, that would be a dream for a car dealership to actually be haggle-free. ;)

I would like to say that in my 50 years of living I have never been to a car dealership because I've heard horror stories and didn't want to ever experience it. However, I am proud to say that going to the Honda Schaumburg Dealership on Golf Road in Schaumburg, Illinois and working with Jim Martinez has changed my mind. I had a wonderful, relaxing, informative and respectful experience from start to finish and would recommend anyone to this Dealership. I have bought from them previously and the experience was good. The price was equal or better than the competition and they had the largest selection of the car I wanted in stock given they are a volume dealer. I did all negotiating via internet and it was painless.

I would absolutely recommend this dealership. We purchased a pre-owned accord in December 2009 and the quality of the service was so good that we knew that we would be back. The people were so friendly and the price was right. When we went back in March, I didn't intend on buying that day. But James was so helpful that everything fell into place. He worked with me answering all of my questions no matter how silly they were. He was so patient and kind, even when I sat in his office waiting for my sister to return. Although the goal is to ultimately sell a car, James made sure that I was comfortable with the decision. Never pressuring me. And the best part was that it didn't take 7 hours to complete the process. Everything was smooth ad efficient. I used to drive another make vehicle but the service that I received at Schaumburg Honda has made me a loyal customer. We only need two cars, but anyone looking to buy a new or used car, I would highly recommend James Martinez and Schaumburg Honda.

This dealer gives Honda a bad name. Treats potential customers like they have no brains. Lies about what the competition can do in terms of better price, service, etc. I do not trust this dealer so I went to another Honda dealer and it was like night and day. Honda should do a mystery shopper program to see just how bad this dealer is and then they would send them to training so that people would actually like to shop there. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Total waste of time, go to any other dealer.

Dishonest dealers, went in there to purchase a new car, either a Civic or an Insight- worst experience ever. I was given a price ( without even negotiating it with the salesman), picked the car, the color, the trims and what not and sat down to go through the paperwork.To my surprise, after waiting for about 30 minutes alone in his office, the salesman returns and kicks me out ( some might think it was my credit history but I have you know that we did not get as far as checking the credit history yet).His story was that his manager wants to sell the car for $2000 more than I was asked before( remember I did not negotiate the initial sale price of the car, I was told that they cannot sell it for less- it was an Insight- because there is a high demand for that model).The salesman tells me to go home and wait for his phonecall.He tells me that once I leave, his manager will cave in and will sell the car to me for the initial asking price.I sure left and never came back; he called 3 days later leaving a message and asking me to be patient, that he is working to get the price down for me and that was the last I ever heard of him .Thanks, but no thanks. Next day I went and bought a Corolla for thousands less than what they were asking on a Civic and with more standard features ( can you believe that the arm rest is an option in a Civic and you have to pay extra to have it?).Not to mention the financing options.Honda was boasting their 2.9% while Toyota was offering 0% for 5 years.Wake up and smell the roses Honda.I will never buy a Honda after this humiliating experience, nor I will recommend it to my friends.

As a recent customer of Schaumburg Honda, I was quite surprised at the horrible customer service I received. I went in to inquire about some issues that had arisen after the purchase of my vehicle. There were a few features on the car that were represented as being in good condition and working, when in fact they were not. After I expressed concern over the issues with my car, I was basically told by a member of the senior staff that there is nothing that will be done, end of story and to leave the office.I might have been able to understand such treatment if I were jumping up an down and screaming. However, I was seated and speaking in a calm tone. With the economy not being up to par, now is certainly not the time to be completely unhelpful to your customers. However, this dealership is succeeding very well in doing so. Another customer lost!

Did we provide you with the information you were looking for? No,they dont provide the information what they have and they dont conside the info what the customer have 3. Is there any additional information that we can provide for you? NO 4. Other than price, is there anything that would keep you from feeling comfortable with doing business at Schaumburg Honda Automobiles? Please treate the customer in a respectful way.Let there be a customer to salesman ratio to 1:1 then to 1:2 not 1:10 at one time.Listen to the customer when the customer has brought some info and proof.

We bought a new 2003 Honda Odyssey at the end of 2003. The car worked well and was well taken care of by us (the owners). Then in 2007 the transmission broke down (which is extremely common in honda odysseys) and we were told the 100000 mile warrenty would NOT cover this (I had about 97000 miles)and I had no choice but to continue driving due to our financial situation at that time. I went in again and explained my problem and the service department told me it WAS covered by the 100000 mile warrenty but I couldn't take advantage of this because I was 115 miles over the 100000. I felt like i was scammed. BUYER BEWARE these people will sell you a car but WILL NOT help you when something breaks down!

I've always dreaded the thought of car shopping, and have had mixed experiences. Schaumburg Honda was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted in a very polie professional manner. When what I was looking for was unavailable(out of my price range) the salesman made helpful suggestions. I found a car I liked, test drove it, and negotiated a very fair price(I could not believe how fair!). Andre the salesman, his manager(I don't remember his name), and Matt in finance were terrific to work with; much more reasonable and friendly than people in auto sales are made out to be. When my new-used Civic wears out I'll go to Schaumburg Honda first!

The service department has not correctly taken down my reasons for bringing in my car and have not been able to fix my car. When I arrive to pick it they claim it has been checked and verified to be fixed, but when I go to leave I see that they have not checked everything. There was a day when my car was dropped off at 1:30pm. I arrived at 9:00pm to pick it up and was told to wait for completion. At 10:00pm I inquired to the status to find out it had been completed but the mechanic did not submit the paperwork for the service advisor to let me know. Then the service advisor typed another ten minutes before I was given direction to go to another counter to get my keys!

We had a very bad experience with this dealership. We initially got a quote from the sales person and we decided to do some comparative shopping. The quote was verified thrice both in person and over the phone. When we went to buy we were informed in a rude way that they would not be able to sell it to us with that quote. According to the sales manager the sales persons are not responsible for the quotes and we should have spoken to him before if we wanted to get a quote. I guess if you ever go looking for a car from this dealership also look for the sales manager.
