Recently purchased a used Hyundai Veloster Turbo from Schmit Bros. Russell, John & Eric were awesome. Russell worked with me to hold the car, since I live in Michigan & needed a week's notice to take the day off work. John lined up getting the car prepped , making a 2013 look brand new & he was super cool on the test drive (you know I had to test out the acceleration on the Turbo). ;)Though Eric was very busy that day (the only Finance person on duty that day), once we got things rolling he made the process efficient, thoroughly explained everything & was pleasant to work with. Very happy with the overall service & the quality car that I purchased from Schmit Bros!

I bought a 2015 Ford Flex from Schmit Bros. My salesperson, Jonathan "JJ" Melvin, spent a lot of time with me, and listened to my concerns about what I needed in a vehicle. He made several recommendations and ultimately I went with my Flex nearly six months later. Schmit Brothers is unlike other dealerships that just give you a card and say come back when you're ready to buy. J.J. spent 2 additional hours with me after I told him I was not able to purchase immediately. I really appreciated that and he has earned my business in the future. I recommend him to all my friends who are considering another vehicle. Additionally, they were able to find me a loan with 2.5% interest. I was paying over 13% on the vehicle I traded in. Therefore I'm 100% satisfied.

My overall experience was very good. The sales person (David Mooney) was very nice, knowledgeable, and concerned that I get the vehicle I wanted. After several attempts to find one in the color, trim package, and price he was able to have the right Explorer delivered. It came in a day early and everyone at the dealership helped me get the Explorer on Saturday. That was awesome to get my new Explorer on the weekend. Signing the papers was a breeze and they clearly explained all of the maintenance packages and other care options. Now if the weather would just cooperate I could enjoy some of the other features (besides the 4 wheel drive). Thanks!

Avoid this dealer at all cost, if looking for a competitive price! Nice frontline salesman, but management doesn't know how to respond when consumer ask for more competitive price. Showed proof of lower offer from another local dealer on Jeep Grand Cherokee and used car manager just complained about his $250k monthly overhead cost and how each car cost him $100 per day. He then excused himself as he needed to leave early due to it being St Patrick's Day. Weeks later they kept lowering price online which was close to the my initial offer. RECOMMENDATIONS if you want a car on this lot, just wait 2-4 weeks. Price drops. Sent complaint email to GM and Schmidt Bros owner with no response from owners, and voicemail from GM that he would call back (never did and didn't take my calls or emails) This clearly shows owner/GM has intentionally created a business model to only sell to consumers who have not done there homework collecting other dealership offers. Schmidt Bros culture is to not respond timely to consumer requests either.

I can NOT say enough about this dealership. I called in to see if the vehicle I saw online was still available before making the trip down there. They made an appointment for me and had the vehicle pulled up and ready to go for a test drive when I got there. We had the pleasure of working with Jamie in the Ford dealership, she was so nice and personable, and made the buying experience really easy! She was really easy going, and great to work with! This dealership definitely goes the extra mile, and then some. I was so happy with the offer that they presented for my trade and the vehicle that we were thinking of (and ended up) purchasing. The sales manager is also great! The vehicle we purchased had a little crack in the back tail light, they offered to order a new cover for it, and then they ended up fixing it right there that day so we didn't have to drive back! We would also like to recognize the sales manager and the finance manager. They were also both really nice to work with. In a world that has come to everyone trying to make a "quick buck" it's reassuring to have done business with a dealership that still has a great focus on customer engagement, as well as business etiquette. We couldn't be happier with our experience, and would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

I recently purchased a 2014 Explorer and I was very impressed with Kristie Tollison, her knowledge of the car and time she took to work with me on buying this car. She worked with me on my trade in and had all the paperwork ready when I got back to pick up the car. She explained everything to me and knew where everything was on the car. We started our search for new Edge online and requested info from Schmit Bros Ford receiving a quick response with a very fair price range, depending on options we wanted, so we made an appointment where we met Sales Rep Jamie Vogel. Jamie was wonderful to work with. She was friendly, professional and wonderful to work with. When the SEL Edge we ordered/requested with the options we wanted couldn't be located, Jamie remembered how much we loved the Titanium Ruby Red Edge Schmit had in stock, so she called us to stop back in and are so happy we did!! While we didn't want to spend the extra money on the Titanium model, Jamie worked with Sales Manager Shane and Igor to get us a great deal that we couldn't refuse. We love our new Titanium Edge and are ever so thankful for Jamie's persistence and work to get us into this vehicle. Jamie was also provided great service when we picked up our new Edge spending well over an hour training us on all the fantastic technology in this new vehicle and she's called/emailed weekly since our purchase with offers to answer any questions we may have and offer to give us another tutoral on all the technology which we have taken advantage of. We had a great buying experience and have been very pleased/happy with everyone we meet at Schmit Bros Ford and would highly recommend everyone to visit Schmit Bros Ford. I was allowed quality time to test drive the vehicle and then was asked if I wanted to take the truck home overnight to think about it. I worked with sales person Jamie Vogel. I first looked at a used Escape. Jamie went on a test drive with me and learned what I was looking for. I decided against the used vehicle as the Car-Fax didn't have much information. Jamie then looked in inventory and eventually found the 2015 Escape that had the equipment I wanted. She let me take this vehicle on a test drive by myself, which was wonderful as I could focus fully on the vehicle. Upon returning to the store we started the discussion about a lease. The sales manager John Kovach asked me to come sit by his desk. Just a little give and take and we had a deal which I believe was almost painless and very fair.Next, I had a very nice conversation with Erica in financing. I was to pick up the vehicle the next day but was unable to get a ride to the dealership as my wife had a previous commitment. Jamie delivered the new vehicle to my home which was very considerate.I had a few issues regarding learning the sync system and felt the vehicle was not properly detailed. (I am a little OCD when it comes to cars.) All the issues I had were addressed the next day by John and Jamie. I had a course on the Sync system and other electronics on the vehicle by sales person Austin. He was great, very patient, and explained all to my satisfaction.Overall, the purchase was enjoyable and all I encountered were very good, helpful people.

I bought a used car, and the dealer did not have the spare key, plates, or manual. That was fine, they said they would have them for me in two weeks. They specifically said they would have the plates mailed to the dealer, as I was in the process of moving and did not have a new address yet. I made an appointment to come back in two weeks. When I came back two weeks later, they did not have the key ready. They said it would take twenty minutes, took my key, and showed me to the waiting room. I waited. Meanwhile, when I get out my laptop to try to get some work done, I discover their wifi does not work. So I waited unable to get any work done. After about half an hour, the dealer came back and said it will take another 40 minutes. So I wait some more. Finally after waiting for over an hour and a half, I went to talk to them to find out what the hold up was. I asked for my key back, and they wouldn't give it to me! I had to start crying to get them to give me my key back. It was either that or I would have had to call the police so they would let me leave! And they didn't even have the license plates or the manual like they had said they would! They hadn't even ordered them yet, despite saying that they would have them two weeks ago! I wasted a trip down there, a five hour drive, and a day of work, all so they could sit around chatting while I sat waiting in the waiting room. Their lack of respect for me was shocking.

I made an appointment to have my transmission line(s) replaced on Tuesday 9/2/15. After I was there for an hour, I was told the parts needed to be ordered, which made me wonder why they weren't ordered prior to my appointment? The Service manager had told me the work would take about an hour and cost about $300. When I returned 2 days later to have the work completed, a Lead Mechanic told me it would take 2-1/2 to 3 hours. I told both of them I would wait for the vehicle. It took only 30 minutes to complete, which makes me wonder why I was charged $109 for labor. Do you normally charged $218 per hour??? Plus, if it only took 30 minutes, why tell me 3 hours when I first arrived???

Purchased a Dodge Caliber from John Koster and this was a very good experience. Everything went well. During a test drive, I noted a banging from underneath the vehicle and was told this was already going to be repaired. Drove the car home four days later and there was the banging once again. The next day, an engine light. Took it to a trusted mechanic and found out the front tie bar was broke, an exhaust hanger was broke and the runner valve in the intake manifold is broke. I only had the car for less than a week and had to get $800 in repairs. Now I can understand how the runner valve was not detected but the tie bar and hanger should of been seen during their inspection. Oh, and one more thing, as the rain washed off all the wax, the 5 scratches in the paint became visible. John was a good guy and good to work with. The mechanical end of this is questionable.

Dan, the sales manager, made sure we had a loaner car when we really needed one so we didn't have to feel rushed to make a buying decision. He and John Granacker found us just the right car for our driving habits and our budget. We hadn't purchased a car in a long time so we were hesitant. John and Dan were patient and friendly as we drove car after car after car. We went to other dealerships and searched online and always came back to Schmidt. Ultimately it came down to which dealership was the most trustworthy. Hands down it was Schmidt. Awesome personal customer service AND very competitive prices. It is clear that the people at Schmidt know their stuff and want to build relationships. They tout themselves as a family business and it's true. We are very happy with our car. With their help we were able to buy a much nicer car than we expected and still stay in our budget.

The only thing we were disappointed in was that we were promised our cap for our truck by Memorial weekend because we were going up north for the long weekend and we had a lot to haul and taking our dog along. We had purchased our new 2014 Ford F150 on April 25th and were told there would be no problem for our cap to come in and be painted. That gave them 3 - 4 weeks. We received a phone call the Saturday before the holiday weekend that the cap was in and they would make an appointment to have it painted (to match the truck) and put onto the truck that week. Found out on the following Tuesday that the cap was not really there and it wasn't due in until Friday afternoon. We were leaving on Friday evening. Needless to say, we didn't have our cap on the truck for our trip. We ended up buying large plastic bins to pack everything in because it was suppose to rain and we didn't want everything to get wet and ruined. Once we got back from the holiday weekend, it took another week to get our cap completed. We were told that the company they use to paint the cap was very busy and behind schedule. We felt that 4 weeks was plenty of time to have gotten this done and were told that was not going to be a problem.

I bought Tires from Tire Rack a couple weeks back. TR installer reviews recommended Schmidt. I had previously read less than favorable reviews, but I figured it was worth a shot. I am glad I did. Install was a great experience (previously reviewed). At that event I needed a bit of an alignment. Found a mutually convenient time and that lead to this review. Alignment, done in timeframe I needed, and job done well. I really appreciated tech discussion afterwards. Very nice.

I found Schmit Brothers Ford through the internet. They have the best prices on the new car i was looking at. The first contact, with the internet was Christian Hernandez. He was very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions. In a very large part, I brought the car because of him. He made the process very easy. I went to test drive a car with Christian. I had test drives with other Ford dealerships. None of the other sales persons knew as much about the Fusion Hybrid as Christian Hernanez. I wanted a red Fusion Hybrid SE. Schmitt Brothers didn't have one on the lot. They found me one, and had it dealered to their facility. I have been recommending Christian and Schmitt Brothers to all who ask about my beautiful new car. Christian is a a great asset to Schmitt Brothers. I live about 15 miles east of Green Bay. The drive to Saulkville and Schmidt Brothers was well worth it. The next time I am looking for a car, I will go back.

I appreciate the way you approach business and my salesperson was excellent. The one thing that really bugged me was the type and volume of music that was piped in the showroom. I enjoy music as much as the next person. I will have everything from Jimmy Buffett, 10,000 maniacs to Beethoven cds in my car at any given time. The volume of the 80's pop that was being played was a distraction. I don't care what kind of music is playing, when I'm wishing that I had access to a volume button, it's to loud.

Quick oil seemed a little disorganized, from previous experiences with you. I am sorry some real tech service was not available. Even employees were voicing their frustration on working outside the building. One man looked more interested in the candy (young woman) in the other building's waiting room, while the quick lube waiting room was full.No one was at the counter when I came over (after being called) and I stated to everyone that he was busy with the cute girl next door. Both attendants finally appeared, the questions to me were not close to really knowing your customer on a personal level.In addition, one of your tow vehicles at highway East bound turn was also too busy with the girl in the right seat and speed out after I gave him a heads up. (It was a double rear wheel truck that went to the used car area with dealer plates.)Maybe everyone needs a wake up call to what people see and feel.

Austin was very nice and helpful in finding the vehicle I was looking for. The trade-in situation was slightly disappointing. I do realize there was only so much that Ford could do because of the Non-branded title. But when it was looked at, it was said to be dirty, which I took the car to a detailer and had it cleaned up good as new for $100. Once again, I understand the value was lowered because of the title issues, so it was a bit of a moot point. Overall, the experience was pleasant and helpful, and I am driving exactly what I wanted. Thank you!

May 2014 my wife and I purchased a new f150. The salesman, Alex Hernandez was a pleasure to work with. 10-14 I received a factory recall notice pertaining to the passenger seat airbag system sensor. When I took the truck in for service, the service department was very professional, and customer friendly. I have had my focus serviced many times at Schmit Brothers. The actual auto mechanics that work on the cars are great. Always very friendly and helpful. However, I can't say the say same for Tony who most people meet first and who creates the first impression. I was happy to see that Mike was gone, as he made most of us (especially women) feel like we know nothing about cars and it was an effort to have to take care of us weather on the phone or in person. However, his replacement is pretty much the same, unfriendly, & arrogant. After my last visit there I did tell my family that the next time the car needs servicing, I will have one of them take care of it as I will not go back there until they finally get some decent "up front" personnel. I was not happy with the salesman that talked me into leasing the car one year ago as well, but I know that is not your area. That was a whole different scenario. When my lease is up in 2015 I will not go back to Schmit Brothers Ford. My rating above is based on the service men that fixed the car, no one else.

I came in for an oil change at Quick Lane. There were several people ahead of me. The staff communicated the wait time and they were right on. The only problem was that a fuel filter change was recommended by the technician but this was cancelled once the service manager asked the technician to confirm. The service manager said that because the filter is internal that it would not need to be replaced. This was not a major concern but unusual.

Arrived at the dealer at 4 on a Fri night to purchase a vehicle that I found on line. Had an appointment with David on Sat morning but decided to go early. I gave them all my credit information and received a trade in value on my vehicle. I was told by them they close at 5 pm on Fri so they wouldn't be able to run my financing till morning and that I would receive a call as to when I should come back. I waited till 10 am sat morning and talked to both David and the finance department who still hadn't started my financing. I was told they would call me back. After calling back about 10 times and always being told that they were busy with other customers I finally talk to Dan the sales manager at 12:30 who told me that since we did not put a deposit down on the vehicle (which we were never asked to or told to) the vehicle had been sold earlier in the day. We received no apology what so ever instead we were told it was our fault and these things happen. We then were told "to make you feel better we will call you and sell it to you if the other parties financing doesn't go through" I will never do business there and will never send anyone there!

Not only did I find a buy my dream car at Schmit Bros, I also had amazing guidance and help from John Koster, one of the Sales Consultants. I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked on the lot and that's exactly what I got. John was amazing throughout the entire experience and never once pressured me or made me feel obligated to buy anything. He is very easy going and extremely knowledgable about the vehicles and truly wants everyone to find the perfect car that meets all of their needs. He made me feel incredibly welcome since the first time I walked in--and after the purchase continued to make sure that I knew he would be available if I needed anything else! This is the first car I've ever bought and honestly I had a stereotype about car salesman--that they are pushy, give false information, and "woo" you so that you make a purchase. My experience with Schmit Bros Ford began with an email. Trevor Ehlert promptly answered all of my questions clearly, and skipped the usual runaround. He quoted me a price that included all the rebates and incentives that I was eligible for. The car that I was interested in had not yet arrived from Ford, but Trevor sent me pictures as soon as it did. I ended up buying the car that was perfect for me at a price that I was comfortable with. Trevor made the process easy, and answered all of my questions. He didn't play any games, and stuck to the price he quoted. I got a fair value for my trade, and drove my perfect new AWD Ford Fusion Titanium home within a few hours. This was my first experience with Schmit Bros Ford and salesman Trevor Ehlert as the dealership is over 3 hours from my residence. My contact/dealing was brief but enjoyable as all but delivery of our 2014 Ford Taurus SHO was handled over the phone or via email. It was not only a hassle free sales experience but the best deal I believe I could make on our purchase after not so-good dealings with a more local ford dealer. Trevor is both a family man and a very knowledgeable sales representative. He appears to be an excellent fit for The dealership as he obviously enjoys his career of choice. I intentionally sought out an auto dealer that was close to my home for two reasons - I wanted money to stay local and I don't want to drive very far for warrantied repairs to my vehicle. The staff at Schmit Bros gave me reason to be grateful that I made this decision... Austin Cole is the salesman who helped me with my purchase. The first thing that impressed me about Austin was that had he not told me that he was new to the business, I would most likely not have known that he'd not been doing this for a while. I felt honored to have been his first sale. His friendly, personable demeanor made my buying experience a pleasurable event, and he's been very helpful upon follow up conversations (I had some questions about "missing" accessories; the Jeep is used.) I was further impressed when I told Austin of a slight problem that I had with the wagon and what I thought the problem might have been and not only did Austin confirm that I had figured it out for myself, he went on to explain the mechanics behind the issue so that I would fully understand what was happening and how my actions were confusing to the vehicle's computer system (I had accidentally thrown it into overdrive.) But I think the most impressionable aspect of my experience with Austin was in the connection we made on a personal level and how he not only paid close attention to my reasons for wanting that particular vehicle, he has remembered even minor details that are important to me and frequently asks if I'm finding that the Jeep is helping to meet my end goals, which it is. I've never met a salesman who has taken such a personal interest in a customer's needs; not even those who have trained me in sales positions. Thanks, Austin, for turning what could have been a very stressful situation into such a pleasurable experience; I have recommended Schmit Bros. to friends and will continue to do so.

I called to confirm, then went out to this dealer two hours north of Chicago. After viewing the exact cars that I saw listed on cars.com, the best offer the dealership would give me was $4,000 higher than the listed price on cars.com!! They cited a series of dealer incentives such as recent college grad, military veteran, specific financing package, etc which could theoretically get a person down to the cars.com price. None of that was mentioned in the dealer notes in the ad. Their cars.com ads are false advertising intended to get people to their remote dealership. I don't really care about the dealer, but I'd like to understand what cars.com's response is to this. Is this tolerated? Or do false ads result in a dealer being banned? I hope that cars.com does something to preserve the reliability of the information it carries; otherwise, there's little value add to the website.

This was easily the most fun I've had buying a car. They had the car I wanted (2012 Taurus SEL) at the advertised price I wanted to pay. It was a long haul from Dubuque, IA to get there but well worth the trip. You tend to be a bit skeptical that everything will work out after making a long drive. I'm happy to report that everything was even better than expected once I got to the showroom. You get to do business with people that really are interested in customer satisfaction. Everything we agreed to via telephone and e-mail was exactly the same when I got to the dealer. However the professionalism of the staff just puts this dealer a good head and shoulders above the competition. Phil Aiello took care of the sales and did a great follow up to the transaction. The owner came over and introduced himself and visited with me. He talked about the history of the dealership and just how long they've been in business. All the personality aside most of are still looking for a good deal on a car. We've probably had to put up with some dealers we'd rather not go back to. Maybe you got a good price on the car but how long did you have to work at it? My time is too important to me to go through all the hassle of haggling back and forth. If I can't get to a decent price fairly quickly then it's time to go somewhere else. The price strategy at Schmit Bros is to put a good number out in the advertising and see if customers will find their way to their door. It worked for me!! I purchased the optional XZILON finish (well worth the money in my opinion) and the service department took care of that part. I don't remember the name of the service manager but he like the others at Schmit Bros was very professional. If I lived in the area you can be assured my Taurus would be serviced at Schmit Bros.

They were professional in behavior and were reasonable to work out an acceptable deal for the 2011 Fusion. Upon completion of an agreement, everything was completed within one hour I was on my way home.
