We went to take a look at whether a mid-size truck or a full size truck would suit our needs best. When a friendly, personable young man named Michael Guthrie walked up and introduced himself we started talking about what we were looking for. He listened, asked some very intuitive questions and after listening to our answers - asked us if we would like something to drink or eat while he went to find vehicles that would meet the criteria he had gleaned from the answers we gave to his questions. About twenty minutes later (which, honestly seemed like forever), he came back to us and asked us to follow him outside. We walk outside and he had two vehicles waiting for us - a 2020 Toyota SR5 Tacoma and a 2019 Toyota Tundra. After looking at the cabin size difference between the two, we decided on the larger of the two and sat down to work out the particulars. When we first started, we were so far apart I really was not optimistic about us coming to an agreement. But, after a lot of negotiating, with work from Michael and management, we finally got the truck I wanted. I would definitely recommend you go in and be honest with whomever you work with. But if you find Michael helping you, I am sure you will agree - he really is a nice, knowledgeable young man that will do whatever is necessary to try and get you the vehicle you are wanting at the price you can afford.

We love our experience with Serra Gardendale Kia. They worked really hard to get us a great deal. Our salesman, Michael Gutherie was amazing and so helpful with us picking out a car for our 16 year old daughter. He knew that her safety was our top concern. We did have to wait a while for the car to be detailed but that was not Michael's fault. And, we noticed the car had spots all around it from the cleaner so it was not detailed properly. Other than that, we are extremely happy with using them and recommend it. Ask for Michael, you won't be disappointed. He was very entertaining and was so patient with me trying to decide.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!! The finance department is rude and very disrespectful I have seen and heard them say and do somethings that is very disrespectful. They to much focusing on talking about people and there credit score or how someone is living. The service department is just super slow and confuse. The whole place is unorganized. They gave me a car with a bad battery that they didn't want to replace. Then they wrote my information all wrong so now they all pointing figures at each other. They was suppose to fix the problem a month ago and I called yesterday since I haven't heard from them in a moth and still nothing . So I call back today ones again nothing. The salesman I had was amazing. All the sales people are awesome but everyone is rude and disrespectful. The person I am I don't mind making a scene. This place is just all out of walk.

BEWARE !! Don’t buy from Gardendale Kia. - This might happen to you too, or God-forbid to one of your children. The tire in this photo is what these guys sent me away in. Granted, it was a used truck, but there is a certain level of trust that you customers should be able to have in what’s considered a reputable auto dealer. However, with this location, all that matters is apparently what can be (or can’t be) seen at face value. I insisted that a replacement tire be replaced at the time of purchase, as this one was the only oddball of the set. And although there appeared to be sufficient tread, it was at least a red flag that there was only one tire that didn’t match. And sure enough, just a few days after driving off the lot, this tire exploded while driving down the highway. There was nothing hit or driven over by any means. There was also significant damage to other parts of the truck from the shrapnel after the burst - of which Serra Gardendale Kia refused to take any responsibility for. Thank God this wasn’t a vehicle that I had put one of my children in and could have easily caused a serious accident. This wasn’t a matter of who is “legally” responsible. This was a simple matter of standing behind the product that you are selling to the public and ultimately doing the right thing. I’m not sure if this is the collective attitude and integrity of Kia in general, or if it’s just this location. Either way, I plan to dig deeper and find that out. Take my advice for what it’s worth, but I suggest you buy from a dealer with a little more moral integrity than Serra Kia of Gardendale.

We got our Kia soul on Aug. 20, was promised a 10 day pay off on our trade in. As of September 21st it has not been paid . After MANY phone calls and much frustration we were finally promised the pay off would be over night today... We will see. I will never go back to Gardendale Kia for anything, nor refer anyone. The sales people were great, its in the accounting department that needs to do some major housekeeping!!!

On Saturday I had to take my Kia Sorento in for service. I thought I was going to get the same old song and dance myself being knowledgeable of the Kia brand. Well I have to say I've met my match. I was greeted by Bryan. The first thing I did was show him my owners manual and tell him I wanted a 90,000 mile service. After Bryan reviewed my owners manual with me, he decided it would be best to access my service history which was a huge benefit to me. I found through the knowledge of Bryan that I had already had done most of the recommended service that was in my owners manual. Thanks to Bryan I not only saved $300-$400 but I gained so much knowledge and because of Bryan and his loyalty to his company and the Kia brand I found probably the best service guy in the automotive business! Because of Bryan and his loyalty I will always buy Kias from Serra and service them with Bryan. I think Bryan is the largest asset to Kia due to his knowledge he not only promotes service but he prospects for sales. He almost had me talked into buying a new Sorento but after servicing mine and having it fully detailed it ran so well and looked so good I decided to keep it for one more year. But one thing for sure Bryan showed me a brand new 2017 Optima that just came off the truck and I am going to buy that for my 65th birthday. With that being said I truly met a guy in the dealership named Bryan that holds his head up high and truly believes in the product that he services enough to get me to buy a new one. I'm thankful to have met this fine honest man Bryan that saved me money when he could have as easily not took the time to trace my service history to find out what I truly needed. There needs to be more people in the car business like Bryan. In my opinion he deserves the highest award for customer loyalty and knowledge of the Kia brand. Thank you. My customer service experience today was excellent. Brian Arrington greeted me and I explained that I had a computer problem with my 2014 Kia Forte. He quickly diagnosed my problem and took my car into the shop. I was on my lunch break and he suggested that I go and get something to eat and check back with him when I got through. I expected to have to leave it for the rest of the day. However, when I returned my car was fully repaired and ready for me to return to work. I was amazed how quickly the repair work was done. WOW! Thank you Brian for making my customer service experience a great one!

Went into the service center on a mid Saturday morning expecting to see it crowded. I was't. The first person I encountered at the desk was Bryan. He wa excellent. He apologized for the inconvenience of the construction and told me that the company was committed to making this service area great. I take great pride in my 2013 Kia optima. So I need a service department that cares about my car as much as I do. To be honest with you when I first met Bryan he expressed to me concern for my car. The first time I took my Kia in for service I was a little concerned. I have always wanted and did most maintenance on all my previous cars. Because I trust my work. Bryan Arrington put me at ease and made me feel welcomed. His knowledge and care was evident in his speech. I feel like as long as I keep going to see him my Optima will last me way beyond the warranty.

I bought my car about 4 months ago from Kia Serra. The transaction went very smooth and the car was detailed to a "T" when I bought in. My car was due for oil change, and I brought it in to the dealership at KIA Serra.Brian Arrington took care of me for the service work. He was very polite and provided excellent service. My oil change was completed quickly and then the service center clean my car.I will surely return to the service center for oil changes. The value and the quality of service is second to none.

I talked with Bryan on March 17th about a recall on my 2013 Sorento. I asked about bringing it in on March 19th. Which he said was fine they would have someone there to take care of it. On the 19th Bryan was off and Allen took care of me that day. And said the parts would have to be ordered. I returned on the 26th and was told the parts was there and didn't understand what happened on the 19th. Bryan took care of my Sorento and was very nice. And I was in and out in 1 1/2 hrs. That which took 2 visits should have been handled in 1.

Went in just to look at some new cars as I knew I would soon be trading my car in. After a look around I decided on the one I wanted. I had questions about trading in my current car as I was still making payments on it. I had been at the dealership six months prior to this and was met in the parking lot by James Oteino, he actually remembered me and my husband from six months ago, very friendly and good memory, he was able to answer all my questions, he is very knowledgeable about all the vehicles in the lot and about the programs at the dealership. James also was able to get me into a brand new car that very day, a much better one than I thought I'd be driving off with. I am very happy and pleased with the experience, will definitely return in the future for my next car!

Well, as I stated previously, Bryan Arrington is the person that greeted me when I first arrived. I told him I was there for an oil change. He told me that the would take my car and give me the oil change right away. He told me where to go and wait for my car. It was an over all great experience.

I went by just for a check on fluids, tire pressure, and such prior to a road trip. I was the first customer and Bryan opened the garage door promptly and came straight to the drivers side calling me by name. I was impressed. No others have done that before. As always he was polite and shook my hand. I told him what I wanted, he said no problem, called the technician over, telling him all what to do. He stated to me he had my cell # and should be through with vehicle by noon. He called at 1030AM and informed me the car was ready, no problems were found, topped off all fluids and pressures stating she was good to go. I believe Bryan is an excellent employee and should be rewarded for his strong customer satisfaction ability. He has always been very professional and serra kia should be proud to have Bryan as an employee.

The service department is how I judge a dealership, this dealership has the best in Bryan Arrington, Service Advisor. Honest, upfront, professional, fantastic, friendly!! Bryan is an asset to this dealership, and I would return to Serra due to his treatment. He met me at the car as I pulled into the bay, shook my hand and introduced himself, always smiling, and very, very professional. He came into the customer lounge to keep me updated on the progress on my vehicle, and kept me updated on what they were doing, and gave me estimates on how much longer it would be. They got me in, and got me out in hardly no time at all, did a fantastic job, the car was clean, and the price was more than fair!I will continue to do business with this dealership, Bryan is the reason!

Today I called Bryan about a light on my dash. Bryan as always asked me to bring it straight over to him. He said that he would address the issue immediately. I was only four miles away. When I arrived at the dealership Bryan was assisting another client. He waved at me and said "I will be right with Ms. Martin." He is so polite. Then a man came over and said "What's the problem today?". He said that his name was Scott and I told him that I had an appointment with Bryan. He replied, "I will help you." I did not want that man to help me. He is so rude. Thank goodness Bryan walked up. He shook my hand with a smile. He got in my car and started it up. He looked at my light on the dash. He explained to me that it was a low tire warning light. He said that he could take of it in just a minute if there was not a leak in one of my tires. That man, Scott, was talking over Bryan, saying "You are going to have to drive it after putting air in the tire." Bryan replied to him, "Sir we are going to put nitrogen in Ms. Martin's tires." Anyway Bryan carried my car around and I just waited up by Bryan's desk. That man Scott replied, "He needs to leave the car running while checking the tires." I thought why to myself. When my husband was living, years ago, he was pretty handy with cars and never left the car running while putting air in the tires. I wanted to do business with Bryan. I did not want to talk to this man. Bryan has been servicing my cars for years. This man Scott is rude. Bryan brought my car back around and the light was off. Bryan got out of the car and shook my hand. He introduced that man Scott as the service manager. I could not believe that man Scott was Bryans boss. He was very disrespectful to Bryan. I was very aggravated and I wanted to tell that man, Scott, off. I did not. How could an idiot like that be over any service department. If I was Bryan, I would have walked out the door and got a job at another Kia dealership. If he did I would go there and get my car serviced with Bryan, because he is great.

I went into the Serra Kia in Gardendale to get my oil changed. Bryan Arrington was my advisor. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He introduced me to his co-workers and he even got me a great deal on my oil change. Not to mention, he found an update that was needed on my car and installed it as well. Bryan never once made me feel like I was being hassled like some people do at other dealerships. He let me know of everything that needed to be done to my car and let me decide on what I wanted done. He was not pushy at all which is awesome. He has wonderful customer service! I will definitely be bringing my car back to Bryan at Serra Kia in Gardendale. Everyone else should do the same!

Sierra Kia of Greendale's automotive center is one of the greatest dealerships and service centers around Birmingham. Mr. Bryan Arrington, Service Advisor, is very knowledgeable and explained all of my problems very clearly. I am a regular customer and enjoy having him as my service advisor.

I am generally a pretty tough customer with high expectations, Bryan even exceeds my expectations. It was time recently to take my 2015 Kia Sorento in for problem experienced a day or so before. In the past I have purchased new vehicles from BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Infiniti, Lincoln and Mercedes I have been accustomed to being treated quite well by the dealerships involved. Never have I ever been treated with such professionalism as Bryan Arrington, my service man, in his handling of my problems. He actually gave me service with a "personal interest". I have purchased 4 new vehicles from this dealership within the past two years and the primary reason for the last 3 purchases was because of my meeting Bryan Arrington. Bryan was great to work with. I only want to deal with him in the future. I had to deal with Courtney at first and she was not good with communication. My car was there for two and a half weeks for a battery!! I called several times and had to leave a message for Courtney to return my call and she never did. I think two and a half weeks for a new battery is ridiculous! When I finally picked my car up, there were ANTS everywhere on the inside! Horrible experience!

I usually cringe at the thought of going to buy a vehicle, but my experience with Serra kia was a pleasant one. James Ontieno Jr was very professional and very knowledgeable. John Willis was courteous and friendly. It was probably the best car buying experience we've had. No offense guys, but when you have a great product it practically sells itself. good job.

James O. took his time with me, answered all my (MANY) questions and made sure I understood everything. He made sure I got the car I needed and did not try to pressure me into buying anything I didn't want. I highly recommend them and will be buying from them again in the future.

I was just trying to buy a used car at Serra Kia in Gardendale. Then I get to the Finance Rep at Serra, he tells me that "I must buy their extended warranty or he will cancel the sale." The extended warranties are optional and after I told that to him he said "us selling the car to you is optional too!" What a scammer!!! I am sure he is being told to push the extended warranties by the management but he should refuse to make illegal and unethical claim of not selling cars without buing the optional warranties. SERRA KIA TRYS TO RIP PEOPLE OFF BY PUSHING EXTENDED WARRANTIES ON PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT THEM.

I sent an email , and within 10 minutes I had a response from James. I told him my needs and that I may have some challenges . He didn't even flinch . He scheduled us to come on in. After looking at a few newer models that were out of our range , he quickly found one that totally met our needs . I'm actually typing this review from the passenger seat just 24 hours after the first email. Great folks over there at Serra Kia! James and John both were outstanding!

My wife and I purchased a new Forte after my Accord died. The service was exceptional. James did a great job as Internet sales manager. It far exceeded the job of other dealerships we worked with. James also was superb when we were finalizing the deal. Finally, the sales manager was terrific in ensuring that we stayed within our budget. We will definitely buy our next car there and highly recommend Serra Kia to others.

I saw your adds on tv, but I was not sure if I would be able to purchase a car from you because of some issues I have. Steve was very nice and assured me that he would get me in a car. He was very friendly and explained the whole process to me. I was impressed that after he explained all the workings of the car he took the time to program my cell phone to it. Wonderful, I just love this feature. Also there were serveral followup calls just to make sure I had a pleasant experience and to thank me for my purchase and to say they hope I enjoy. Everyone I came in contact with even the phone calls and even the company who financed my car was great. Would I recommend Kia Gardendale to anyone. YES!!!!!! I would tell them to ask for Steve.
