Sheehy Volkswagen is definitely a different kind of dealership! They provide great pricing right off the bat; I did not have to spend hours and hours in negotiation and the pricing was exactly as it is listed on their website. All in all, I think I was there an hour and fifteen minutes tops (of course I knew exactly what I wanted).Now I understand that most people have trouble with reading comprehension and this causes a lot of problems when folks shop for cars, but a quick phone call confirmed what I read. I highly recommend Bill and the manager John for anyone shopping for a new or used car. I will definitely be back for my next vehicle

I had been researching places to purchase a used car in the area for months. I came across the perfect car for me and visited Sheehy VW Springfield in hopes of buying it. From start to finish, I had a very positive experience. At first I spoke with the GM (who I happened to run into-super nice and helpful), and he introduced me to Kash- who was very understanding of my needs and patiently helped to lead me in the right direction. The used car manager, Sid, also provided me with some useful guidance and was super friendly and welcoming (this is not typical of other used car managers I have dealt with, so it was very refreshing to have a positive experience with this person!). Overall, every person I met with, from the used inventory manager (Samim) to the gentleman who helped me with details and the knowledgable woman in finance was warm, helpful, patient, and helped me in buying a car I love! I had to buy a new car after a tree fell on my old one. I saw the best prices online for GTI's at Sheehy VW in Springfield. I wasn't sure what to expect from the buying experience but was very happy with the outcome. My salesperson, Kash R, was very helpful in explaining what was available and which models were no longer available. He was knowledgeable on the GTI's and wasn't too pushy with some of the optional dealer services I was not interested in. Signing the financing paperwork was a good experience too. Sal handled that part. He was straightforward in answering my questions, didn't throw any unexpected curve-balls with the numbers, and the financing process was very fast. They also helped me with dropping off my rental car in the area and getting me back to the dealership which was greatly appreciated.

Visited a number of dealers Had my trade in The presentation was fine as usual with VW Dealers Usual funny game of buy&sell As there are always two smarts - one selling and one buying, had some level of tough talking business, not the thing I am not used to, but that was not pleasant from the point of view of as customer considering the proposals... At some level did not like the level of aggressiveness in negotiations. Should have been prepared for that, but maybe I was spoiled by other dealers... Anyway the price rules, so reached the best deal there for the best car I wanted Not significantly but anyway had to work for that and it paid off. Lovely cars to choose from, found smth best I wanted. Therefore final summary - happy and satisfied. Tough but nothing is easy in this world if we talk about the money

I am a loyal VW owner and was in the market to purchase a used, Volkswagen Jetta. After visiting almost every dealer, within 25 miles of my home, I found a car I really liked, at Sheehy VW on Backlick Rd. After taking the 2011 Jetta for a test drive, I was very hapy with the sales rep, Riahd. I did not buy on my first visit, but continued my search, comparing price, mileage and overall condition of the vehicle. A few days later, Riahd called me to see if I had made a decision. I was not ready to buy, and told him I would get back to him. Since he was not pushy and was very professional, I compared what I had experienced with other reps, from other dealers. Within a few days, I received multiple calls and emails from other reps and felt they were way too pushy. I called Riahd back, and told him I was ready to buy. We agreed on a price, he got the car ready and I went back to seal the deal. It was a Tuesday evening, and I was in and out, in less than two hours. Never before have I bought a car that quickly and been that pleased with the service. Even the finance rep was professional (Emily). I highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking to buy a used VW. I am sure they have more options but like I said I was set on a VW. Hats off to Sheehy and their staff!! When I am in the market to buy another VW, I will definitely re-visit.

I traveled all the way to Springfield from Annapolis, MD and it was worth every mile. I wasn't actually even planning on buying a vehicle that day, I just wanted to check out a few vehicles I had seen on the website and see how I liked them. Before we even made it in the front door Jonathan Routt caught up to us in the parking lot and kicked things off right away. Within 15 minutes we were test driving a Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line that I had seen on the website. The sales people are super friendly, they work as a team to get what you want, and are very transparent with the prices. They matched my truecar.com price and accepted the certificate from my credit unions referral service. I wish all car dealers were like this. They really know how to appeal to folks like me who do all the research and already know what a good - low price is for the vehicle. We took the vehicle for an comprehensive inspection and the mechanic said it was in better shape than any other vehicle he had seen with those miles. On January 15th, 2015, I purchased a used Subaru from Sheehy VW. I have to say that Rick Cypress made the experience very enjoyable and relatively trouble free. I had previously made a few trips from Richmond, VA to Northern Virginia, which was altogether frustrating and disappointing. Most of the Dealers/dealerships I spent my valuable time (& Gas) visiting really lived up to the "Used Car Salesmen" image that's all too familiar. Not only was the vehicle "as advertised" once I got to Sheehy, Rick carefully answered all my questions. In addition, Rick followed me to the nearby Enterprise location, so that I wouldn't have to walk back after dropping off the rental I was driving. His demeanor is professional, relaxed, confident and seemingly excited about making the purchase experience go smoothly. I would wholeheartedly recommend Rick for your next vehicle purchase needs. The only part of the overrall experience which didn't synch with the standard set by Rick and the other Sheehy VW staff, was the final step-Finance. This last step took (what seemed like) the better part of an hour. During this time the demeanor of the Sheehy Finance associate was almost terse &/or unpleasant. Whereas Rick was patient and wholly willing to answer any questions I might have, the Finance associate made me feel a bit like I was "in the Principals Office". As this is the final part of the sales experience, I would strongly recommend Sheehy speak with the Finance staff, and reiterate the key role they play in the overall experience. as they are the ones to "talk money" with and also the last to "touch" the Customer, it's critical they carry forward the work put in by the Sales Dept. Again, I would recommend Rick Cypress and Sheehy VW for your Used/New car needs.

Recently purchased 2014 GLI at this dealership. Fun car. Since it was an outgoing 2014 model, the car was deeply discounted and I had no problem buying it for the internet price. Used USAA financing. Due to my busy schedule, Tom Reber drove near my home to complete the paperwork, so I could reserve it until I could pick it up a week later. The service I experienced was pleasant, simple and straightforward . When I went to the dealership, Tom picked me up at the metro, so I could drive the car back. I spent a few minutes writing a check, got the keys, and drove off after Tom helped me connect the bluetooth.

Well, what can I say? I came in looking for a specific car and met a terrific internet sales guy. He was laid back and did not push or pressure me. He gave me up front details UP FRONT and when I found things wrong with the car, he immediately had it taken care of by professionals. What I liked most is that my work keeps me running around and busy so I tend to overlook sales calls or sometimes fully intending to, i do not; but Tom had me covered. I was in another store replacing my phone and I said give me approximately 30 minutes and call me - 31 minutes later, i got a call - professionalism at its best! The whole "purchase ordeal" lasted approximately 2.5 hours for me - on a used car nonetheless. Most of that time was spent dealing with my eccentricities and not the dealer run car test drive/showing, pricing, financing or badging/plating my car - in essence, i got in my own way and Tom helped me get in my car. Great experience. I am not a doting fan nor are we friends outside of my purchase, but I have bought 8 cars in my 29 years alive and this was the easiest, most comfortable experience to date. Not only was my sales guy Tom a cool guy, but more surprisingly, the finance guy was super cool too. Gave me the best deal possible and had me in and out and financed in 25 minutes flat. Given, i did provide my info on paper, had Tom fill it in, send it to the financial office, call me over and have me sign, dispense the down payment and have my dot matrix deal-on-paper, in 25 minutes; which is absurd! Maybe they work at Jimmy Johns too? Lol Great job. I'll definitely see you again Tom and likely Sheehy too! Thanks :)

the car that was on the add was sold, but the sales man showed me an other vehicle that i liked. had less miles than the one i saw on the add and one year newer. the car is very nice and runs fine, but the detailing job is not good specially the inside of the car. i also found out some scratches on the hub caps and on the top of the vehicle. Sales man promised will replace hub caps . When i came in told me his manager said that not possible and he can offer me to buy them at a discount price.

I went with a friend to purchase a car. We were looking all day for the right vehicle. Sheehy VW was the last stop before we decided to call it quits for the day. We went to the dealership to a used vehicle that we found was sold that day. We were about the leave when the sales woman told us to hold for just a moment as she wanted to see if she could do something before we left. When she came back the had the sales manager who offered us a lease on a new VW instead of a used one. Well it worked and it was truly exactly what we were looking for. Mohamud Moallin guided me through the process and helped me find impartial material to decide between a Ford Fusion and my new Passat. He was upfront with where the Ford was better and helped me make a good choice. he show me how good German Enginering and fun to drive new Passat. I plan to return when I'm ready to get a new Passat.

I never thought of owning my own VW until arriving at Sheehy Volkswagen recently. I have owned Hondas, Cadillacs and Fords, but this is the first time I was on a sales site and not ignored nor pressured to purchase in any way by Paul Wicker. I feel I have been exceptionally advised by a true proffessional with integrity devoid of gimmics. With the internet searches and price comparisons I have finally made my decision to purchase a Volkswagen. Paul is an awesome Sale Associate and a very knowledgable associate. We went to Sheehy Volkswagen to check out a Passat and Jetta. Jonathan was our sales rep and was very knowledgeable on both cars. He spent a good amount of time with us just making sure we knew all aspects of both cars. I would highly recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for a car - he is a rare kind of salesmen - courteous, polite, good at listening to our concerns, extremely knowledgeable and not too pushy!

I bought a car a while back from a dealer in Georgia and needed a new service department. I had just moved into the area and drove my GTI up here with no problems. I was stationed in the area and googled Volkswagen stores because of a couple of lights that were popping up on my dash. When I got to the dealer I was talking to a salesman named Herbie Rivera and he was just directing me to the service department like I asked. Well...he asked to take a look at the lights and as he was explaining what the lights were I guess he figured out I didnt quite know everything about my car since I had got it used. Herbie spent well over half an hour just going over every option on my car and he knew I wasnt there to buy anything. To sum things up he won my business when and if I need a new car I know where I am going and the service department will definitely be seeing me whenever I need something. I suggest you go see Herbie if your looking for a car. Doesnt seem like hes just trying to get you in and out. Thanks man.

Everyone hates going to the big bad car dealerships and I must admit I am definitely one of those people, BUT this last purchase I had was nothing I had expected. I walked in and was greeted by a salesman named Herbie. I know....this guy must have made that name up atleast that's what I was thinking but it was really his name haha. Nevertheless we laughed for a minute about that since I was there to get a Beetle. I drove a pretty hard bargain seeing how I drove all the way out from Maryland to get the car that I wanted. The dealership had the car I wanted already so I knew I would have to go there to get it. Luckily the overall customer service from beginning to end was very pleasing. The finance guy was also prompt with getting all of my paperwork done. I had a great experience and it was well worth the drive. If you go to Sheehy go see the lovebug haha.

Went to the dealership to get an idea of what my car was worth. I was disappointed to find out that my car had been in an accident. I didn't believe it at first until the manager came in and offered to show me the evidence on the car. Jonathan was my salesman and did a wonderful job. He spent a good bit of time with me test driving several cars. I came in thinking that I was just going to trade in but after talking to Jonathan and the manager of the store came in and spent some time going over some options that I didn't know existed I received a fair trade in value (considering the accident) and a great payment on a new Jetta. I have already sent my friend to the dealership and she bought a Passat. Great team great experience.

I went there with certain expectations about my trade. I test drove several vehicles with Jonathan who is absolutely terrific. He had patience with me as I was trying to find the perfect Jetta. I was not however expecting the number on my trade. After coming to the conclusion that it wasn't going to work Adam who is the General Sales Manager came and talked to me. He told me some things about my trade that I didn't know. He actually walked me out to my car and showed me some things on the vehicle I had never noticed nor would I have ever thought to look. He was extremely understanding and at the same time I understood where he was coming from. Ultimately he made the decision easy for me and we came to terms that I was happy with and I am the proud new owner of a Jetta. Thanks Jonathan!

This was my second purchase from this dealership. I have been buying cars from Adam forever. He really goes the extra mile to make sure that everything is easy and stress free. In fact he and I did just about everything over the phone except the testdrive. I literally came in and spent only 15 minutes in the dealership. He actually had the vehicle delivered with the paperwork to my house! I'll buy all my vehicles from Sheehy Volkswagen from now on.

I've noticed that there are not a whole lot of posts about this store and I decided to go anyway. Turns out this dealership is under new management and new ownership. Sheehy is now the owner and the sales department is run by Adam Mendoza. My wife and I worked with Herbie Rivera to get our Passat because buying a Bug from a guy named Herbie would have been too much! Great personalities here at this store and the General Sales Manager Adam came out and made sure that the deal we were getting was both fair and competitive. I work in the banking field and know customer service when I see it. We have unfortunately been taken advantage of in the past and Adam and Herbie made sure that was not going to happen again. Beautiful facility and a well run staff will soon put Sheehy at the top of the list if you are in the market for a VW. Thank you to all who were involved!!!

There can't be a better place to buy a new vehicle, I'm convinced. My wife went in to look at the Passat without me and normally would have been pressured and tortured into making a decision ASAP (I know I'm in sales). But she met the General Sales Manager Adam who made her feel comfortable in the vehicle she was looking at but also in the decision she had to make with her family. She came home and shared her experience with me and I had the pleasure to go back and talk to Adam and make a deal the next day on a 2013 Passat. A couple days later we were having issues with the vehicle pulling to the right and Adam made sure that we were taken care of during a work day and gave us a vehicle to drive. Our Passat was fixed the same day and Adam had the vehicle brought out to us and switched out completely detailed! Customer service at its best! Adam and team keep up the good work! We will be back and will be sending family and friends!!

It started out well. My husband & I stopped at Sheehy VW because I'm looking for a new vehicle and I wanted to check out a Golf. We were helped by a professional and friendly sales 'team leader' named Herbie. Herbie was great! He was knowledgeable, did an excellent presentation of the Golf's features, and we enjoyed test driving the vehicle with him. Herbie made sure we were aware of the current sales specials and of course encouraged us to take advantage of them but also he respected the fact that I told him I was researching several vehicles and weighing the pros an cons. At that point I felt very happy about the idea of going back to Sheehy and working with Herbie, if I did decide to buy a Golf. Then our experience nose-dived. When we finished up with Herbie, the General Sales Manager, Adam, came to meet us. Adam immediately started engaging my husband in conversation about the car. Okay, guys have a tendency to talk to guys (although someone working in sales really ought to know better), but even after my husband tried to correct Adam by telling him that I was the one buying the car, Adam continued to engage my husband and even turned his back to me. My husband was as stunned as I was and we promptly and politely left. I feel awful for Herbie, because I can't imagine wanting to return to Sheehy after that experience. Herbie did everything right and his General Sales Manager blew it for him. That really stinks.

My husband and I just bought a used Honda and it turned into a nightmare. The transmission went out within the first year and didn't know what to do or how to get it to a dealership. Sheehy Volkswagen is almost an hour and a half from me but they went above and beyond to take care of me. They sent a driver out to pick us up and brought us to the dealership and gave us a terrific deal on a 2013 Passat. They also arrainged to tow my vehicle in so that I didn't have to mess with it. On top of that they gave me a more then fair number on the trade even though it didn't run. If you are buying a new or used car go see Adam Mendoza. He is the General Sales Manager and knows customer service. Sheehy Volkswagen in Springfield Virginia will get my business in the future and all of my referals. Thanks to everyone involved!!!
