Smith Ford was everything we needed in the auto market of 2021. Justin was an excellent sales person, extraordinarily knowledgeable on the vehicles, very down to earth and kind. I will be calling Justin every time I am in the market for a vehicle going forward. As an employee of Ford Motor company I was flabbergasted when other dealerships told me they were not accepting A-Plan right now on F150 trucks. Not only was Justin able to honor employee pricing, but he was able to work with another dealership to get us the truck we wanted.

The service department does amazing work. They have worked on me 2005 thunderbird multiple times and have always done great work. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a reliable place to get their car serviced. Called the service department on June 26th for my recalls to be completed and to have an extra key made that I had lost. Was provided cell phone number of service manager to send a picture of my key. Waited over a month because he said parts needed to come in. Gave them a call back and spoke to the same guy who acted like he had no idea what I was talking about. I repeated back his cell number that he’d provided as proof of our conversation. Then, he said my pic went into spam and he apologized and said he’d redo everything. Today is August 28th and I’ve heard nothing. My husband had called Ford in DeMotte two weeks ago and not only did they get the parts in a week, but they also ordered my key and I’m now all set. Never have I wrote a negative review or been this dissatisfied with a business in my life. Will not return to Ford in Lowell, IN.

Dan Bard was great to work with. He answered all my questions, was very professional, yet made me feel like I was the most important person at the dealership when there were other customers waiting to see him, I never felt rushed to close the deal because he had others waiting. I did shop around at other bigger dealerships in the area but not one of them seemed to care if I was there or not! I felt welcomed and appreciated at Smith Ford of Lowell! I feel like I got a great deal, from a fair trade in price to a great interest rate to keep my payments within my budget. I would highly recommend this dealership, After surfing the internet for an Escape, Smith Ford had the best advertised price on line. They had the one I wanted in stock and it turns out it was actually $2,000 less then advertised. This is my fourth new Ford and by far the best experience I've had at a dealership. I went to Ford dealership in Demotte, IN. Found a truck I really liked. Brought in my car to trade for the truck. They basically insulted me with the trade in offer so I left the that dealer and went directly to Smith Ford in Lowell. The sales person I worked with was Larry Wagner. He is by far the best sales person I have ever meet. He is very direct and is willing to go out of his way help. Smith Ford did not have a truck on the lot that I wanted so Larry tried to get the truck, the one I preferred, from the Demotte. In the end the dealer in Demotte would not let the truck go, so Larry found the exact same truck in Wisconsin and brought it down to Lowell for me to purchase. So I would recommend people to go to Smith Ford and would recommend people to see Larry Wagner

We needed a new vehicle. We had some work done on a previous car at Smith's and the people at the dealership did excellent work and treated us well, so we wanted to give them our business when we bought a new car. We were not disappointed.Justin, our salesperson, on our initial visit, did not push and answered all our questions. When we came back, he remembered us and the car we wanted. He worked with us to get the car to a price that we could afford, but was still fair for them. He, and others in the financing department, stayed at least a half hour after closing to get all the paperwork done and to walk us through the features of the beautiful 2014 Ford Edge. We drove home that night with our new vehicle. The next day I had some questions, and Justin happily answered them all. There have been no surprises. A wonderful new car buying experience! Glad we came to Smith's and we're loving our new Edge!

Easiest place to buy a car, there is absolutely no pressure. The staff was friendly and courteous. Brian Bolton was helpful and made the whole transaction go smoothly. I was never told I had to buy today, and nobody was pushing extended warranties, or anything else. Truly a great place to buy a car. They found my new truck at another dealership and got it to me with no hassles.

Smith's Ford in Lowell, IN, is a great place to buy a New Ford. My husband and I bought two F150 4X4's from them; and I just bought a 2014 Ford F150 4X4. The Service is Great when getting service done at Smith's Ford; and the quality of work done is great! they show you what they did; what needs to get done and when you need to come in for another oil change; and this is all done with a pleasant attitude and with a smile. I get my truck serviced at Smith's Ford whenever it needs service. The service is great at Smith's Ford when buying a new truck or car because the Salesmen know their trucks and cars inside out; and can tell you anything you want to know about them.My husband and I bought a cab & 1/2- 2006 Ford F150 4x4 in 2006, the trucks hold their value! We then bought a 4 door, 2007 Ford F150 4X4 in 2007. My husband passed away in 2012, and since I didn't need two big trucks I sold my 2006 Ford F150 4X4 to a man for $16,500 in 2013; It had less than 26,000 miles on it. We had always done our Truck's service at Smith's Ford and I kept getting letters from Smith's Ford and Smith's Chevrolet about my 2007 F150 and how they would like for me to come in and talk about a trade in with it. I called Dan when I got my last letter April 24th and asked what it was all about? He said I would have to bring in my truck, and he would have to see it before he could offer me anything. I said, How about now? It was about 3:30 pm, and Dan said that would be fine. I took the truck over to Smith's Ford in Lowell, IN and Dan was busy; but, he gave me Larry Wagner as my salesman. Customer Service was great from everyone: from sales to finance. Larry Wagner, my salesman is amazing! I went in just to see what they had to offer and before I knew it; I had ordered a brand new truck! my credit was approved, and I have never in my whole life watched anyone multitask as much, and as good as Larry Wagner, my salesman did! I couldn't do his job. He was on top of everything that had to do with: picking out my new truck, the color I wanted, getting my credit through, going over the Ford A-Z plan with me; and getting my pin number with Ford, because my husband had retired from Ford. Larry helped other customers in the office while still keeping his mind on my sale and answering phone calls; and apologizing when he had to do something for someone else. Larry should get a bonus for being such a great muti-tasker and taking care of all the action that he has to take care of during the day. Smith's Ford is fortunate to have Larry Wagner to represent their company. Larry is an asset to the company. Larry is a calm person, he stays focused on all the tasks at hand, even when there are more than one or two tasks that he is dealing with. . .he is very friendly, very polite, kind, caring, and Larry is a natural people person: With Larry's natural love for people and his job as a salesman he does a fantastic job; and if I had a company I would want my employees to be like Larry. Larry set my IPhone to the computer in my new truck, he set all the information with the time, mileage for trips, showed me how to use everything. I love my new Ruby Red Metallic 2014 Ford F150 4X4; and thanks to the time that Larry gave me by putting all the computer information in for me; it made my enjoyment of my new truck so much more; because I didn't have to struggle with directions for putting it in myself. My overall experience was exhilarating! I am so happy with Smith's Ford and Thank them for everything that brings a smile upon a customer's face! The price of my new truck was great! Between the rebates that were available to me; plus I got a $1500 rebate just for bringing in my 2001 Ford Ranger's registration papers, my Z Plan because my husband retired from Ford, and the price I got for my 2007 Ford F150; I got a new truck for almost less than half price!!! How great is that! I love it.

Have been waiting a very long time for a pick up truck of this caliber. Needed something with enough muscle to pull a 4 horse gooseneck trailer with living quarters. Decided on the F350 Diesel Super Duty dually, after talking to the dealership's diesel truck mechanic, George, and mechanic Keenin. It was the only one on the lot at the time. Although it was a bit more than I needed, as far as amenities. The salesman offered to do a dealer trade for a similar truck, but without a lot of the bells and whistles. I decided that it was not necessary for the dealership to go through the expense of a dealer trade. (Even though that was not mentioned, I know it costs a bit to switch vehicles from state to state. Someone has to drive!) The salesman then reduced the price of the truck on the lot. That was the decision maker. I picked up my new F350 the very next day, with a lot of extras that are just nice to have, even though I don't need them. The truck is strikingly gorgeous! Even though it is a beast! In a pearlized white, and a ton of chrome, it screams "Look at Me", and my lady driver!! I love the looks that come from other men drivers. Yes guys, women can drive big trucks too, and look good while doing it. This truck is a real pleasure to drive.Thanks Brian, Dan, Larry and Dan. You all helped make a dream come true!Vicki Karius

This was our third new car purchase from Smith Ford and Justin Kinnis. Justin is always knowledgeable, professional and no pressure. Justin was very thorough with his explanation of the sync system (we're very low tech). Car was cleaned up nicely and a full tank of gas.Dan Bard was also very professional and knowledgeable. We normally don't purchase any additional warranties or insurance but Dan pointed out the Gap insurance since we rolled the negative equity into the new loan. Dan didn't pressure us to purchase the Gap insurance but we felt it was a very good recommendation.

The options in the interior of the car were fully explained and demonstrated. Larry assisted in setting up Sync and walked us through the procedure. We haven't purchased new vehicles since 2002. Came in for service on our 2012 escape, I was having difficulties getting in and out of the vehicle. Mr. Bard was happy to show me the new 2014 escapes which are much lower to the ground. Making it easier for me to get in and out. So we decided to purchase the newer model escape. Mr. Bard was very helpful in all aspects of this and was happy to explain things when I came back a few days later with questions about the new escape. After a disagreeable experience at another dealer, my wife and I stopped at the Smith dealership; we really meant just to look around. Fortunately we met Larry Wagner, he was great to us. I am extremely happy with my experience at Smith Ford. I have purchased vehicles from other dealers in the past, but they don't come close to the fantastic customer service at Smith. Larry Wagner listened to what I was looking for in a vehicle and when they didn't have the exact vehicle I wanted he searched other dealers and had the vehicle delivered to Smith within hours from another dealership rather than trying to talk me into taking a vehicle from their inventory. I highly reccommend Smith Ford and will purchase all my vehicles from them in the future.

Decided to buy my wife a new car last minute on a Monday. Called Larry answered a few questions i had over the phone we showed up hour later drove two cars. Larry was more that happy to give me payments on both and answer any questions we purchased a new Taurus with my mother in laws discount from ford and it went smooth. i was worried because we got the discount that the dealer may not be excited to help out as i know they don't make allot of money on the cars that way, but i couldn't have asked for better help. There was no pushiness at all didn't continually bother me about warranties and what not. I don't have time for anything with how much i work and i told them that and they did everything they could to get us in and out as quick as possible. i will definetly go back when im ready for another car.

My son and I were looking for a car for him. After much searching on the internet and in person at several dealerships, we found a car at Smith Ford. Our purchase was a 2006 Taurus. We talked with Larry Wagner about the car and he thoroughly explained what items were checked at Ford before the car was put up for sale. The car had 75,000 miles on it which qualified it for an extended warranty as an option. Larry explained the options (year and mileage) and the price for each one.I have purchased 3 new cars over the last 12 years. 2 of these experiences were a nightmare, especially with the finance person who would not tell me the price of any extended warranty. Working with Larry was a pleasure. Over the last 8 years, I have started inquiring about cars over the Internet with about a 25% response rate. My first inquiry about the Taurus was through their website and I had a response within 24 hours. I called Larry, made an appointment, test drove the car, bought the car and completed the paperwork in under 3 hours. I will be returning to Smith Ford and recommending them to my family and friends.

On our first visit Justin took the time to explain the Sync system and put my wife at ease with all the technology in the new vehicles. He then showed us several trim levels on the 2 models we were interested in so we could narrow our choices. Once we decided, we were looking for an explorer with specific options. Justin did an extensive search of the 200 closest dealers with no luck. He then expanded the search and was still not able to find the options we wanted. He didn't try to pressure us into buying one off the lot, he suggested ordering one so the options were EXACTLY what we wanted. The order was supposed to take 6-8 weeks, 4 weeks to the day the vehicle was delivered. He spent at least an hour with us when we picked it up making sure we were comfortable with the functions, he has already followed up once to be sure we are happy.

We had all our questions answered promptly. Price negotiation was fair and straightforward. We got the car we wanted, for the price we were willing to pay and when we wanted it. Our salesman, Larry Wagner helped us through all fazes of the transaction and stayed involved when there was a factory recall of some software issues. He contacted people for us and kept the lines of communication open and moving in both directions. We recommend the Sales Department as well as the Service Department. The manufacturer Rep. was also a great help and kept us informed. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. Anyone can sell a product but these people stand behind that product and make sure the customer is served..

My overall experience was only "good" because although my sales person was a good guy and I liked him, he could have been more personable or interactive. Also, when they washed the car before I brought it home there was dry soap all over, water spots everywhere, and it did not look like it was dried at all. Price-wise, I was offered a lower price at another dealership to take a car already on the lot for a cheaper price but it was not a model with the options I wanted and here I was only offered my set price.

I actually live in Loudon, TN. I called Smith Ford in Lowell, IN to see if they could locate the vehicle I was looking for (2012 Ford Expedition). They located the exact vehicle I was looking for and retrieved it from Missouri. We were driving up to Indiana to deliver our old Ford (Mazda) Ranger to our grandsons. Justine facilitated the purchase and delivery over the phone within three weeks. Great job. We arrived in Indiana an hour after the vehicle arrived from Missouri. This was my first new car and my first Ford purchase.I had visited Smith to make sure I was getting a fair deal from another Ford dealership, because I had the feeling I was being hustled. I had been having a HORRIFIC experience looking for a new car with the other dealership. I had been lied to about my credit score and harassed on the phone. I wanted to give Ford another try, so I researched Smith in Lowell.I had read many good reviews on this website, and heard many good things about Smith Ford in Lowell. So I decided to see what they could do for me. I was supposed to buy the car I wanted that day from the other dealership, but I wasn't happy that the other dealership had told me even though I had good credit I needed a co-signer OR I would only be offered 6% financing. That was with $5,000 in cash as a down payment, and the X plan.Justin was nice enough to help me, even though I was upfront about already being involved with another dealership. He went out of his way to run my credit and see what they could offer me on the 2013 Ford Focus. Not only did was I offered 2.9% WITHOUT a co-signer, he even showed my that I could get more money off without using the X plan. He matched the price I had been offered at the other Ford dealership, and it only took him overnight to get the car in. It took over a week with the other dealership. In all, the process that had taken WEEKS at the other dealership happened in HOURS at Smith.He was a great, fair, calm, realistic salesman who did not gimmick me. He earned my business because he treated me with respect and did not try to run any stereotypical car salesman pitches on me.Do not go anywhere else. I recommend Smith Ford in Lowell.

Have bought two vehicles from this dealer. Bought a Cadillac in 2010. Recently bought a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 with 77K miles and paid $14,000. (top dollar for the year and miles)It drove nicely for the short 4 mile test drive (didn't dare go farther since there was very little gas in vehicle). Vehicle came with 30 day 2000 mile powertrain warranty. (50/50 coverage, i was to be responsible for half costs) Never heard of a warranty like this. The day I picked it up the vehicle exhibited transfer case problems. Half way home (some 9 miles from dealership) the service 4WD light came on and the transfer case was making terrible noises. Push button 4WD was jumping all over the place on its own. Pulled over to side of road and called dealership. Spoke with Brian (sales) and informed him of what happened. Pressed 2WD and took truck back to dealer. Was informed that transfer case control module was bad and dealer replaced at no expense to me, as it should be. Transfer case made noises afterwards and then finally broke completely on my way home from work three weeks later. Still inside of warranty and, as I feel, still related to the incident day of purchase or damaged by it. Was informed will need new transfer case and dealer considers it a separate issue from original problem and will only cover 50%. Discussed at legnth how I felt this was related but to no good. So let anyone who wants to buy a car from them beware. They will take care of something minor in the name of good will but not if it is something major, you are on you own. Will not be buying from them again.

After dealing with three other Ford dealerships whose customer satisfaction did not seem important enough to attempt to make a sale we decided to try one more dealership before beginning a new search with General Motors dealers. We were extremely pleased to deal with our salesman (Larry Walker) who went above and beyond trying to locate the particular car we were interessted in and his ability to locate a particular car for us that had all the specifics we were requesting. Needless to say, we will continue to say we will continue to refer Larry and Smith Ford to all our friends.

We would not deal with any other associate of any other dealership due to Larry's upfront honesty and over the top service he has always provided to us. He is the reason we have stuck with a Ford. We tried another dealership in our area, but was taken advantage of on an extremely ridiculous level. Larry is the reason we traveled over 500 miles one way to buy the car we purchased in August 2012. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

Justin Kinnis was my salesman at Smith Chevrolet in Lowell, Indiana. I have bought many cars during my lifetime, but this was by far the best experience. Justin was professional and extrememly helpful. He was not the typical stereo type of a 'car salesman'. He was never pushy, but rather listened to what I wanted, answered my questions and never pushed me to buy a car on the spot. He is extremly knowledgable and helpful. Smith Auto did not have the car that I wanted, but he found the car and had it delivered to the dealership.I have always been a GM buyer and this is the first Ford that I have purchased. Since I travel extensively, I have rented numerous cars and found that I preferred driving the Ford Fusion - which is what I bought. My initial experience with Smith Ford was in March of 2010 when I purchased a 2010 Escape. Our salesman Brian Bolton guided my wife Bonita and myself through with his friendly and confident expertise. Smith Ford offered a very fair trade in price and Brian found a rebate that I hadn't known existed. Having been happy with the purchase I had the Escape serviced there for the two years + that I've owned it. With the model change of the 2013, being very satisfied with the vehicle, I opted for a new 2012. Once again Brian was there to help us. He found the Escape that I wanted and had it delivered and ready to go within a few days. Our son Zach was interested in a new vehicle so I sent him to see our favorite salesman. Larry Wagoner in the past has twice assisted us in the purchase of extended coverage and when my 2010 Ford Focus was re-ended and totaled he assisted in getting a refund for time not used. Larry secured the type and model we wanted from another dealer for us at a really great price and had it ready as promised. He found an additional $500.00 rebate that we had comming bringing the total to $2000.00. He was very helpful in setting up the sync and pointed out the many varied controlls.Everyone that passed us in the showroom while we waited was friendly speaking to us even a mechanic. The Finance manager Dan Bard was quick and efficent.I would highly recomend him and the dealership to anyone.In the past two days I have had many people compliment the cars looks and when I told them that it was getting 27 miles per gallon in town they were amazed.

We have purchased two used vehicles from Smith Ford since 2008. We will also purchase our future vehicles from them. I feel that most dealerships make me feel like I am being "pounced" on. I felt that I had time to look around without being hounded and I felt like I was treated respectfully. One thing that I hate about other dealerships is that as a woman, they tend to treat me like I am an idiot. Larry was amazing. Both vehicles that we purchased were used, but in amazing condition. We also traded in cars both times and felt that we were given fair prices for them and didn't feel like we were getting a "bad deal". They gave us what we asked both times, which was a fair price. We won't need another car for a few years, but when we do it will be at Smith Ford and with Larry Wagner. I recommend them to everyone that I know.Thanks

Justin is extremely friendly and not pushy or overly aggresive. He consistently has been patient with my wife and I in both of our purchases knowing we had very particular needs/desires. His calm and welcoming demeanor made the process very pleasant. The friendliness extends to all facets of the buying process and people we interacted with. There are certainly closer Ford dealers to where we live, but all others we have looked at were only concerned with getting the sale that day and not developing a long term relationship. For that reason Smith Ford is my dealer.

Dan Bard did a good job at helping us to find a good car for the price and payment that we wanted !!! He wasn't pushy like most salesmen !!! He gave us time to look at cars and didn't pressure us in any way !!! He helped us by offering us with many choices on cars for the payment we were looking for !!! We bought a Chevy HHR and it's a great car and we love it and it has lots of room for cargo and grandkids !!!

My experience was very good. Smith Ford had the vehicle I wanted and I was treated very well. The saleperson who handled my sale made sure to point out all the options I had in the vehicle and answered any questions I had. I would recommend the dealer to anyone looking to buy a Ford.

Everyone we spoke with was very nice. My only thought that I would change is offering customers coffee or a beverage while waiting in the showroom. We were there a couple hours and we weren't offered anything or even shown where anything was. But Brian was very down to earth and not the "pushy" salesman.

We were in a rush to replace a vehicle that had been wrecked in a collision. And we were also short on time, due to an upcoming vacation. Justin searched for a car, found one and had it delivered it a very short time. He and others were willing to stay after closing hours to get the deal closed. We bought an F150 from Larry Wagner Jan 2010. He made every effort to find the exact truck we were looking for and the deal he struck was exceptionsl. We feel he worked diligently to find the truck when other dealers we had seen did not. We are in the market for a new car and will go there again. Had some small services done and dealing with the service dept was as pleasant and done well.

Dan is extremely knowledgeable on the SYNC software and features of the vehicles. In addition to his knowledge of the vehicle, he and his team did all that they could to help us save money in the vehicle purchase. Most importantly, they were not "pushy" as saleman can be and let us decide on the purchase of a vehicle. It's not often you find a salesperson that is respectful of the customer and it's even more difficult to find a team of people that are equally respectful. Although I have to drive 10 miles out of my way for service or maintenance, it's well worth the trip.

The sales process was very comfortable and a great buying experience for the purchasing of the vehicle. Unfortunately, there were lights out on the vehicle when the purchase was made. The dealer replaced the lights without a problem. The two front speakers were also crackling and when they were asked to replace them, they said they would not. Unfortunately this cost was put on me to replace. This was a bit unsettling, especially since they advertise on their billboards that "they go the extra mile" for customer satisfaction. I did not feel that they did that in this respect.

Our experience with Dan Bard was fantastic. He was very knowledgable and friendly. The first truck he found was being delivered from another dealer and was in an accident. It was Dans' day, off he called us from home and told us he located another truck and it was being delivered the next day. We feel he went above and beyond just so we could not only have the truck we wanted but he was still able to get it to us when promised. That makes him #1 in our book. Overall it was a great experience. Oh yeah and last but not least the price was just what we wanted to pay.Great job, Dan!!!!

There are a number of Ford dealers in the area that I live and Smith Ford is a bit out of my way, but I was told that Larry Wagner was the person to see for a new vehicle. By far, the best experience I have had purchasing a new vehicle. Larry searched the area and found me several options to choose from, then got me the vehicle that I wanted. He is a no non-sense, just-the-bottom-line kind of guy, and I would highly recommend you going to Larry for a vehicle purchase. By far, the easiest vehicle purchase the I have made.

As a new car buyer, I spent alot of time on the internet looking for the best deal I could find, I went to a total of 3 local ford dealers. At the third dealer (Smith Ford) I was greated by Dan, who was able to answer all questions. I showed dan the vehicle I was interested in and within 15 mins Dan was able to find the exact vehicle I was looking for. This is the same vehicle that I had looked at, at these other dealers. Dan was able to beat their price !! Smith was able to get this vehicle to their dealership and have it ready for me within 1 week.The price remained as first stated by Dan even though the "sales manager" tried his best to ruin the deal !Dan is a true professional and is highly recommended !!

I felt the absence of my salesperson for about 45 minutes in the middle of a sale was an inconvenience. I think Smith had a new software/computer app to train on, and the sales manager pulled him. This is a great honest dealer! They offer a very fair price - they call this "no bull". I have called many other dealers to ask for a used car, but most of them exaggerated the car. Smith ford is honest in both telling me car's condition and the price. So I do not need to struggle to search faults to lower price. As a relatively small dealer, their service is much better than many big dealers. But I also have to say that few search engine can reach their car listing. If you want a used car, that is a good place if you can find one you like.

Test drove 3 different cars. Never felt as if we were bothering him or pressured to buy. Felt we got a very good price for our trades. Dan stayed late on a Saturday to finish the deal and make sure we understood all the features on our purchase. We have purchased vehicles here before and both the sales and service departments have always been excellent. I love my new Ford Edge

After searching for the next addition to our auto family for almost a year, we decided to take a trip to Smith Ford in Lowell IN. after receiving an offer in the mail that seemed too good to be true. Immediately we noticed that there was something different about Larry ~ he was available IF we needed him and the fact that he was not over-bearing or pushy was a nice change. They called me and had a few choices to look at and we found one to our liking . They had all the paper work ready when we got there . We looked over the car and it was to our liking.
