This is my 7th Subaru and I love it. Spangler Subaru is a great place. Once I bought there I continued to return. They are extremely helpful and you never feel pressured while looking at the cars. They make it easy to ask questions even after you've had the car awhile.

My husband and I had a horrible experience here. Big-time pressure from the service staff to commit to very costly, unnecessary repairs! We were traveling on the PA turnpike when our oil change light came on. We regularly get our car serviced at a Subaru place where we lived, so we went to the closest Subaru place before continuing our travels. The service folks at Spangler Subaru told us half the engine needed to be immediately replaced or the car would be unsafe to continue driving home. Huge $6000 invoice and an estimated week of repairs. No check engine light ever went off, so that sounded suspect. They also said "talk with our sales people because this may be greater than the value of your car and we could possibly have you trade your car in and start a new car purchase." Can you talk about escalating quickly? I know car salesmen are high pressure but from service folks, this was another level. Seriously, they were really pressuring us into hugely costly repairs or a car purchase, when all we needed was an oil change! How do I know this? We called our home Subaru service department who said before doing a huge engine replacement we should do an oil consumption test first, which is to just get an oil change and then drive 1200 miles and see how the oil is doing. Our home Subaru guys said it sounds suspicious if we never saw the check engine light go off, that our entire short block would have to be replaced so immediately after just an oil-change light. So we got the oil change at Spangler and then drove off -- no engine noise or problems or concerns the rest of our drive home some 250 miles! But to the very end, the Spangler folks pressured us with severe scare tactics saying "you'll never make it home"; "we had trouble starting your car"; "I wouldn't drive that"; and other nonsense! It was ridiculous levels of pressure and trying to scare us into thousands of dollars of repairs we clearly didn't need! We will take our car to our trusty Subaru service place at home now and see if it needs repairs but clearly the Spangler service dept is either 1) incompetent in their assessment that our car needed a half-engine replacement or wouldn't drive; or 2) using deceit to get business by tricking people into thinking they need huge repairs they don't immediately need. I know everyone has less business these days and needs work, but this reached unethical levels of pressure to straight-up lying about the state of our car. So if you don't have thousands of dollars to spare, I wouldn't trust these folks with repairs. Get a second opinion.

The Service center went above and beyond any expectations, the techs worked diligently to get my car back in running order very quickly. Very pleased with my overall experience.

Spangler gave us the BEST DEAL, Mark took time to explain all the details of our Forester inside and out. We were treated like royalty. Everyone there was so very kind and they continue to make sure we are satisfied long after the sale is over. This is a WOW dealership!

We just bought our second Subaru from SPANGLER Subaru and can't say enough good things about our salesman, Mark Neeson and the entire team. I had to get a replacement tire put on and Tom and everyone in service was as helpful at sales staff.

I had a very pleasant used car purchasing experience with Spangler Subaru. The sales people were relaxed, not to mean they were unprofessional, but that they were calm and friendly without being pushy. I came away feeling like I'd found just what I wanted at a fair price, with none of the stressful haggling experience, and I didn't have to wonder if I'd been taken advantage of.

My son was in the market for a new car as his older model car was beginning to "nickel and dime" us to death. Subarus were recommended to us as a very reliable choice by a friend of the family who also highly recommended Spangler Subaru in particular due to her long association with them for multiple car purchases over the years.So we began our research. Wanting to make the purchase in a relatively short time-frame, we shopped online first, checked ratings on the used cars that were available at the time. We made an appointment with a sales rep who greeted us warmly despite the fact that we were a few minutes late. He was very patient with our questions. the entire staff treated us very well, offering us something to drink and a comfortable place to talk privately as we made our decision.We received a great price on the car and a fair price for our trade-in as well. they took the initiative to contact our insurance agent with the new car information and spent alot of time introducing my son to all the bells and whistles inside the car. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and not stressful at all. I would definitely consider Spangler Subaru as my first choice for my next car.

I love my new Subaru forester. I'm not sure within 1 hour of getting my new Subaru. my cell phones turned off. went to phone store and found out that my service was changed to the newest iPhone out there. now I'm not saying this salesman had anything to do with it. since that was the last place to get all my personal info and it happened 1 hour after I left with my car and since the service for the phone was switched in a town not far from Johnstown. not in Texas or Utah right in PA. I do love the new Subaru.

I have purchased 2 new and 1 used Subaru from Spangler, and get most maintenance done there. They have always been great to deal with, very fair, no high pressure, and just all around great.

I called to inquire about installation of a remote starter in my new Forester. I was connected to service department and after asking a few questions to better understand the cost and options, I was told that I was wasting his time. I was calling different Subaru dealerships to see who could give me the best deal. After being treated like that, I'd never go to this dealership for service or a purchase.

I was shopping around for a new Subaru Legacy as it was time to trade in my older model. My salesman Garrett, was a tremendous help. He answered all of my necessary questions throughout the whole buying process and made it extremely easy and satisfying. It is a family owned business and they really make you feel like a part of the family. They are friendly, courteous, and helpful everytime I have gone up there since. Great experience!
