I would strongly recommend Spitzer Ford to anyone that is looking for new or used car. I was in a situation that was less than desirable. Michael Anderson and the other employees were able to help me into a new Ford Focus. The main take away from this experience (besides the new car) will be the excellent customer service that I received from everyone I spoke with. I went into Spitzer Ford in Hartville, Ohio to get my Daytime-running lights turned on for my Focus. I was quoted $0.00 for this work and told that I can come in at anytime and get this done. I scheduled an appointment and took my vehicle in. Once there, I dropped my vehicle off and went to the showroom to look at a possible replacement vehicle. In the meantime (It's now 9:20 in the morning), they've still not taken the vehicle back. By the time I'm looking at the Fusion at around 9:25, they finally take my car back.I take the Fusion for a drive, which takes all of 20 minutes (I'm back by 9:45) and my Focus is sitting in the lot, completely finished. Come back to the service room and they're charging me $80.00! For a job that took less than 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous! Quoted $0.00 and then get a bill for $80.00?In addition, the man running the desk would constantly crack jokes and I didn't find that very professional or funny.I WILL NEVER USE SPITZER HARTVILLE EVER AGAIN!

I felt the need to put another review on this site for the guys at Spitzer Ford in Harville. Mike Anderson, my sales person, Brent in the finance department and Billy in the service department are all awesome people. I had a small issue with my car, I called Mike and he told to bring my car in. When I got there Billy already had all of my information and made me feel at ease and went into great detail about the issue I was having with my car. I bought an extended warranty for my car and there was an issue with the finance company where they wanted more money which meant my car payment was going to go up. When I go to the dealership I was told by Mike that once again they went to bat for me, my payment did not go up it stayed the same!!!! I am extremely grateful for all of the gentlemen at Spitzer Ford. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for a new or used car you go and see the men at Spitzer. They will make you feel special and they will go to bat for you!!!! My car buying experience was not stressful and it went very well. Take my advice, go and see Mike Anderson and you will see what i'm talking about!! Thank God for putting Mike and the rest of the team at Spitzer Ford in my path!!!!!

ORDERED THE WRONG ECM-ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, ON VIN OF MY V8 O3 MACH1 VERSUS MY WIFE'S DAILY DRIVER V6 MUSTANG. THE CAR WONT START WITH NEW ECM, GEE, I WONDER WHY? The good pertains to our sales rep., Eric. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The bad pertains to the finance and delivery portion of the transaction. Paperwork took an awfully long time. Financing was misrepresented and took unreasonably long. Brought the finance issue up to NICK SIPE (who made the blatently false statement) the very next morning and he claimed he would see what he could do to rectify. I heard nothing for a week and then after repeated attempts to get a return call or email, he finally called. He says sorry for my inconvenience- totally ignoring the fact that his lie cost me money. BEWARE. You have been warned. Apparently management condones this style of doing business.

Where can we begin to describe our visit and deal today! Oh my gosh Michael Anderson was superior in the way he helped us. We came in with our Focus and our F150 which we had bought in Arizona and wanted to try to make a deal where we could trade both of them in on a new truck that's was a four wheel drive. We did to be honest have some issues with the Focus where we had brought the Focus in several times for repairs and just wanted to get another vehicle. Not only did Michael recognize us from when we were in almost two years ago when we bought the Focus but he helped us get an excellent deal with a great interest rate. We had heard that Michael had left the dealership and were disappointed but to see him when we came in and get to have him be our salesman was just great. We are so glad he is back! My husband and I have been a customer of Spitzer Ford in Hartville for about 10 years now and will continue to go back! After my last vehicle purchase there, nine years ago, we finally decided it was time for me to get a new car. I walked in the other day and John, the sales manager, recognized me immediately and was so friendly and welcoming. I have always had my vehicles serviced there, and occasionally would see John pop in to the service area. It was very comforting to see a familiar face and to realize that all along you were never a number, but a valued customer. He directed me to Aaron King, who promptly greeted me and made me feel comfortable and in control during the entire process. I would say that this is a great quality to find, considering the stigma surrounding women and the car buying experience! Aaron let me take the lead and went to great lengths to make sure I got to look at and test drive the models I was interested in. He was never pushy nor did I feel he was motivated to up-sell me at any time. In fact, not only did he ask me what my price range was and stay right on point, I truly believe he did his best to give me every option available to me. I can honestly say that it was one of, if not the best, car buying experiences ever. Let me not forget to mention Nick, who handled the financing end of the deal. He worked so quick to get me out of the door while being honest and friendly the entire time! By the way, I chose the Ford Fusion SE in Ruby Red and it is a spectacular vehicle! Thank you Aaron and John for the care and concern you showed! I hope that you are there for me the next time I walk in and say "I need a new car"!!!

On 4/28/14 I called the service dept. about getting a key I purchased else where cut and programmed. I was informed of the price and set up my appointment for 5/1/14. I arrived at the service dept. 15 min. prior to my appointment time. I waited on my car in the service dept. While sitting there I listened to the banter between the service dept. employee BG and the male customers. I found most of what he was saying to be rude and obnoxious but apparently the male customers didn't mind. When my key was finally ready (55 min. later) I walked over to the cashier with BG. I immediately noticed that both keys were on the same ring. I asked where my other key ring was and BG said "what other key ring" I informed him " the one that was in the bag with the key to be programmed" He then said that it must be in the car. He rudely stated he would get me another key ring and started to walk away. I stopped him and told him never mind and that there was no reason to speak to me in such a rude manner. I then noticed the billing paperwork. The price was higher then what I was told on the phone. He said that was the price he was told to charge. I again stated that was not what I was quoted. Another service employee got involved and stated to BG that he had spoken to me and gave me the other price as BG walked away from me mumbling something I didn't quite here. The other service employee took the paperwork and corrected it to my quoted price. I found BG to be offensive, obnoxious and down right plain rude. If this were the only ford service dept. in the world I would NEVER return there. As a matter of fact I would sell my ford so that I didn't have to deal with people like BG. I worked for 47 years in a customer service type position and I never treated people like I was treated by BG today. Also FYI two programmed keys are to never be together on the same ring as they will cause an error code when attempting to start the car. Which will prevent the car from starting at all.

I am picky when it comes to service but I must say, the service I got from this dealer exceeded my expectations. they were very customer friendly; never felt pressured into buying the car. I also interacted with two other individuals, John the manager and Jonathan the finance guy, these were very down to earth and were able to assist and explain the whole car buying process. This past weekend my husband and I visited Spitzer to test drive and possibly purchase an F-150. We arrived at the Hartville location around 9 am test drove the vehicle talked with the sales representative and told him we would be bringing our trade-in back up either later that day or Monday. After my husband and I spoke on the way home we decided it was a purchase we were ready to make. We called the sales representative and assured him we would be bringing the trade-in up that evening around 4pm and asked if it would be possible to take the truck home that evening or would it have to be another evening. He assured me that it would be possible to take it home that evening. Once we arrived at Spitzer the sales representative drove my husband's car (telling him he would have a lot of people excited about this being on their lot). At no point did we expect to be leaving Spitzer in our own vehicle and without the F-150. While signing the paperwork on privacy and taking my husband's personal information our sales representative walked away to the nearby counter. When he returned he said he had some bad news. He mentioned that another couple had just said yes to the same exact vehicle. Tried showing us a few other trucks similar but not what my husband wanted. When asked why we were told we could take it home he said it is SPITZER'S policy to not hold a vehicle for anyone in case they do not return. He said "if that was the case I couldn't have shown you the vehicle this morning" He told us the couple had been there the night before looking at the same truck. The other couple was from out of state and my husband and I assume they said yes the same way we did the night before. I believe that this truck was meant to be theirs however I feel that DIRTY BUSINESS = NO BUSINESS. We should have never been shown this truck or at least knew that it was already spoken for until further notice. This would have give us the opportunity to spend the day looking at other vehicles in the surrounding areas. I will be speaking with the manager at this establishment about how ridiculous this is. Please take this into consideration when doing business with this establishment.

Customer Service... I am handicapped and use two canes. Jeff Slomsky opened the door for me several times, coming and going. He brought papers to me for review so I did not have to walk over to the desk. I appreciated his kindness and helpfulness. Buying Process... N/A... was in for service only Quality of Repair... The oil change and tire rotation took less than 45 minutes. Overall Facilities... The facility was clean and orderly. Everyone was extremely courteous. Looking for a reasonably priced vehicle was made easy on the Spitzer website as the prices were not artificially inflated and then dropped to "internet pricing". Spitzer Ford of Hartville did an incredible job at selling me my new 14 Fiesta. I researched the car extensively and found that thier dealership had my car. I called and emailed them many times and all thier staff was extremely helpful. Mike Freeders ended up selling me the car and he was awesome at showing the car. Went to this dearlership since was in close proximity to my husband's work. At first (of course) was treated with friendly, eager sales people and Dan WInes seemed sincere. I got good trade in value for my truck and was please with the van I chose. Even the porter who drove me to my new van at a different location was very friendly. The tags and paperwork on the window of the van had a small (but appreciated) 30 day, 3000 mile warranty. Well guess what? When my husband signed the paperwork there was no warranty included at all and the special fabric protector I was very insistent on was nowhere to be found. I called Dan the next business day only to be told he'd check into the warranty issue and that he "forgot" about the fabric protector. They also, without my asking, did an Etch Guard on my car and charged me $250.00 for it and threw it in on my loan so I can pay interest on something I would have declined. I've never heard one word from Dan about my warranty, or my fabric protection. I guess he made his commission off of me, why bother now? I have heard decent things about this dealership but be very careful with your paperwork (don't let your wife say everything is set, just need you to sign as happened to us) and use another salesman besides Dan. His followup and care sucks.

We had the normal preconceived notions of going to local dealerships with the thoughts of high pressure sales teams, over priced vehicles and someone trying to pressure us into things that we didn't need nor want. This was our first purchase at a dealership because we were uncomfortable with the whole idea and thought we would rather deal with an individual over a dealership and sales teams.That was not the case with Nick Sipe. He was straight forward, honest and wasn't trying to pressure us.He listened to our needs and wants and found us a vehicle that fit the bill. I purchased a 2011 Ford Ranger in June 2011. They had to get my ranger from another area that "supposedly" would take a few days well guess what? 2 MONTHS LATER I received truck!! Here's the best part they dropped the ball in getting my title & new plates and my 30 day tag expired & my husband was pulled over by the police & they assumed the truck was STOLEN!! OMG!! So now it's August of 2013 & I just realized that I DON'T HAVE A OWNERS MANUAL. Now I know it's my fault for not realizing this until now (because never needed it thank god) so I called the dealership to see if they can do anything about it but was told per the sales rep & sales mgr through Stephanie on the phone that "no there isn't anything we can do about it " but we can order you one with shipping & everything for 46.00!!! Well guess what? I can order one myself online for 19.99!!! So much for customer satisfaction!!! I am also writing a letter to the president of Ford!!! NEVER AGAIN!! I had seen an explorer online and called to check to make sure it was available since I would be driving nearly 3 hours to get to this dealer. I was told from the sales manager that it was still available. I told him I was on my way and I had a pre approval letter for the vehicle, he stated he would call if anything changed. 20 minutes before I arrived at the dealer(2 1/2 hrs into my drive) he called and said the explorer was sold. I was blown away that even with them knowing I was coming from 3 hrs away and was approved for financing they would sell the vehicle I was coming for. I was speechless at how bad their customer service was and that they would not even call before the sale since I did talk with them first about the vehicle. The sales manager just kept telling me that they cannot hold cars, I asked for his supervisor in which he responded that he was the manager and would not give me his supervisors name. I ended up having to call back later to talk with someone else at the dealership to find out his boss. I just talked with his boss on the phone and he did not even seem sympathetic to my situation. He just acted as if that the business and did not even care about the time, gas or money for babysitter I had to spend, to be able to come up to try and by a car from them. This has been the worst dealer experience I have ever had!

If you are reading the reviews for the Spitzer sales team, you're like me and do your homework before you buy, looking at various dealers and maybe individual sales folks at each dealer. If so, stop your homework! Nick Sipe at Spitzer Ford in Hartville is the best car salesman my wife and I have dealt with in 30 years of buying vehicles! While surfing Autotrader.com to find a new Ford Edge, I landed on Spitzer's site. I saw that Nick had the most reviews,so I clicked on several of them. I then picked up the phone, called the dealership, and asked for Nick. I told him we were looking for a new Ford Edge and found the Spitzer site, read his review and wanted to talk! We chatted for a few minutes, and I felt very comfortable with Nick and he had several units to look at. He said they were open that evening til 9 and I told him I would call him back by 5:30 if we were coming up. I went home, told my wife about the dealership and Nick and we agreed to drive up. (I think Sue felt that if nothing else we would get dinner at the Hartville Kitchen restaurant!)As we pulled in Nick walked out and greeted us by name, as we were in our Chrysler Pacifica, which I told Nick we would want to trade with. As Nick was getting the keys to look at some units on the lot, Sue and I spotted the black Ford Edge Limited in the showroom, and we both fell in love with it. I have a black truck so I understand nothing looks worse than a dirty black vehicle, but nothing shines more than a clean black Ford Edge! Nick pulled the Edge out into the lot, we took it for a good test drive, and at 9:30 we walked out the proud owners! I say 9:30 as Nick and Pete stayed over to make sure we could agree to the deal. We went back up the next afternoon and picked up our new car. Needless to say we're very happy with the car, but moreso with the respect and courtesy shown by Nick, Pete and the Spitzer Hartville team. Best Truck buying experience I've ever had. Told Mike what I was looking for in a new Truck. He should me the different models, never pushed additional features and never asked me how much I was willing to spend, Mike just walked around with me and answered my questions. Found one I was happy with, other then the color. Mike found the twin to the Truck that meet my needs in the color I was looking for, same price no surprises. Mike also found some additional rebates, that I wasn't aware of. In the end I spent less then I expected, and got a great price on my trade in. Decent experience. Purchased an 05 Ford Mustang for a pretty good price and dealership gave us a fair deal on our trade. The vehicle we purchased came without an owner's manual and Bob Thomason promised us that he had one ordered as a courtesy and we would get it in the mail. It's been two months and we haven't received the owner's manual. Kelly in finance was friendly and talked us into the Ford warranty (we've been talked into these stupid warranties in the past and they are of no good). We assured her that we didn't need it because they're useless and she kept pushing it onto us and sold it as "Ford's warranty, not an extended warranty through another company". She claimed that if we did the research and found that it wasn't for us within 30 days that she would refund the $800 that it cost us. I've contacted the dealership twice about it and have received no response and no refund. Other than that, everyone was friendly and attentive.

I HAD CALLED SPITZER FORD BECAUSE MY HUSBAND AND I WANTED A NEW SUV. THEY CONNECTED ME TO NICK SYPE. I EXPLAINED TO HIM WHAT WE WANTED AND PRICE RANGE AND WHAT WE WANTED AS FAR AS THE VEHICLE BEING EQUIPPED. I TOLD HIM THAT WE HAD SOME CREDIT ISSUES. HE WAS STRAIGHT FORWARD TO ME AND HONEST AND TOLD ME THAT WE MIGHT NOT GET ALL THE EQUIPTION WE WANTED BECAUSE OF OUR PAYMENT WE WANTED AND OUR CREDIT ISSUES WOULD CAUSE US A HIGHER INTEREST RATE BUT TO COME IN AND HE WOULD WORK WITH US. WE WENT IN THE NEXT DAY AND WE SAT DOWN WITH NICK AND DID THE PAPER WORK AND LOOKED AT A VEHICLE. IT DIDNT HAVE ALL THE EQUIPTION WE WANTED BUT WAS CLOSE TO IT. IN NO TIME HE HAD US APPROVED THROUGH A BANK WITH CHEAPER INTEREST RATE THAN WE THOUGHT WE COULD GET. WE HAVE DEALT WITH ALOT OF DEALERS IN OUR LIFETIME BUT NICK IS SOMEONE WE WOULD RECOMMMEND TO OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND WHO WE WOULD GO BACK TO. WE LOVE OUR VEHICLE AND VERY PLEASED HOW EVERY THING WAS HANDLE WITH NICK AND THE FIANCING. THANK YOU SO MUCH NICK. WINSTON AND DIANA

Had a great experience at this dealership. As I live an hour away from Hartvile most of the deal was done on the phone...Nick Sipe represented the vehicle honestly and honored the price we had discussed. We were prepared to make the purchase after seeing the vehicle and drove it home that night... Dealer even arranged an oil change at a dealer closer to where we live, to save us another long drive. Dishonest. Dishonest. Dishonest. Dishonest. Will do or tell you anything to attempt to see a car that is nowhere near a fair reasonable price. They certainly don't take pride in having clean cars. It's disappointing when they have you drive 4 hrs to look at a vehicle that needs a lot of work. DON'T promise a vehicle is clean and in fantastic condition if it's a piece of crap.

Mike and Nick were friendly from the get-go. We had originally been emailing Nick but he was busy the day we visited and so we also worked with Mike. Both were willing to work with us on pricing and that was very important to us. They were patient as we changed our minds off and on. But the really important factor was that the let us walk away and discuss the purchase. We had been pushed into purchasing a car at a different dealership when we bought our Saturn and we didn't want to experience that again. We just wanted time to talk and both Nick and Mike allowed for that. We had a very good experience.

I give spitzer ford a great rating because everybody was very friendly. An employee offered my daughter a choc. chip cookie and she was very happy. Our sales representive was Michael Anderson. He was very nice and friendly. We felt that we had a great deal and pricing was fair. It was my first time buying a car and I felt that it has been a great experience for me, and I would definatly recommend spitzer ford to everybody.

I would recommened Spitzer of Hartville,when looking for a vehicle. Its the best car shopping experience Ive ever had.I liked that no one there was pushy for a sale. I mostly worked with Mark Fairhurst,very good at what he does. I gave him an idea of what i was looking for an what i thought the car might be. So i talked, he listened, as i walked round parking lot glancing at vehicles.He really listened to what i was telling him i wanted an it didnt take but a quick swoop round lot to lead me to my dream car. He didnt try to pull one over on me. He told me everything about the car up front. Offered for me to drive it an when he came back with keys he brought back the car fax. The allowed for me to have an extended test drive which is awesome bc i really got to know the car and that helped make the final decision the car was for me.They really worked with me an my budget to make it happen.I dealt with Nick when going over papers. He fully explained everything an offered up some other options but once again wasnt pushy about anything,which i loved.As i was waiting for my car everyone there was friendly. They talked to my mom an i,an the whole experience was fun an full of laughs. I really enjoyed myself an car shopping was fun an easy.I will go back the next time i need a car,but till then im recommending to friends an family to check it out.

My husband and I worked with Nick Sype and he ordered the exact truck that we wanted. He was extremely helpful and courteous. When doing final paper work explained everything thoroughly. Also, the help Sam gave us in explaining our new F150 Platinum was understandable and thorough. We enjoyed working with both of these gentlemen. We would consider Spitzer Hartville again when purchasing a new vehicle.

Nick Sipe from Spitzer Ford in Hartville found the truck I was looking for. He did not try to sell me a truck just to sale a truck off of the lot. I went to two other Ford dealerships and they did not go out of their way to help me like Nick did. I did want to buy from a local dealership. But having to travel from Canfield, it was worth the trip to get the truck and color I wanted; and at a affordable price. Furthermore, Nick was kind enough to send me pictures of my truck when it came in. He did not pressure me into buying something I did not want or rush me into a vehicle I was not comfortable with. Actually I visited the dealership for a test drive offered through the Cleveland Auto Show. I drove a new Focus SE hatchback. Great little car! I ended up leasing it. Nick was my salesman and as I had never leased before he did a good job in explaining the process and putting up with my questions. Actually he read my concerns well and understood where I was in the process. As I hadn't had a Ford in years, I'm looking forward to enjoying the Focus. I had the best sells man, if you go to Hartville Ford you need to ask for Bob Thomas. He work a great deal for I and made me laugh to whole time. I Bought a 2011 Ford Focus and love it. Found a 2007 Mercury Milan online and spoke with Mark. Paid them a visit on a Friday night and they were very very helpful! Went back in Saturday morning and left with my new car! I have online previously used a credit union to finance a car, but they were able to get me financed and at a -much- lower rate than my credit union! I was so impressed with the way they treated me compared to other dealerships. Very friendly salespeople, comfortable environment, and second to none in customer service. We were trading our 2003 trailblazer for a Explore or Escape,well that's what we thought My wife seen the Taurus and fell in love, after a test drive we went to Progressive Jeep in Massilion to look at a Chysler 300, because we wanted to keep our options open 2 1/2 hours later we knew we were getting the Taurus. Nick at Spitzer made it fun to buy our car, he was not pushy at all and made sure we got what we wanted. Pete at the counter was very understanding as we changed ou mind a couple of times on options. kelly pushed our paper work through quick. I would recommend this Team to all who go there. We got a great deal, a GREAT car and a great team to deal with

I would not recommend this dealer. They really make you feel that they will take care of any problems, until there is actually a problem.The OEM tires on my Ford Focus are terrible in snow. I have been getting stuck in driveways, grocery stores and other places. I have contacted Spitzer to replace the tires with something that will go through snow so that I don't have to park it when we get more than 1.5" of snow. I am getting no help. I haven't even made my first payment and I am going to have to sink $500+ dollars into this car.I will never buy another car from this dealership.
