Very smooth and stress free process as it should be buying a car. It is stressful enough to figure out exactly what you want but Star Auto Sale is very helpful when it comes to choosing what’s best for you. I got my car for a great price and they made sure I got a low interest rate as a first time buyer. As a first time buyer they explained everything step by step very well so that I knew what I was getting into right away. I got to test drive my car and take it home the very next day. Star Auto Sales is a delightful place to shop for a vehicle. Gary LaPointe and staff were all very friendly and helpful with no pushy sales techniques. They generously let me test drive a number of vehicles for fit and comfort as well as handling and performance. I had chosen several cars on their website that I was interested in and was shown a couple more as well. Their vehicles are obvious well selected because they all appear to be very well taken care of and have low mileage. I love my purchase and highly recommend Star Auto Sales to anyone looking for a positive experience in purchasing a quality used automobile/SUV.

Our story is long and complicated, but our ending was fantastic. We bought a Ford Transit that made an unbearable droning noise. Star Auto went above and beyond to try and remedy the problem, bringing it to 2 different dealerships as well as having their own mechanics work on it. In the end, the problem could not be resolved and Star Auto readily allowed us to trade in our old van for another one. Liza, Gary, Jerry, Brian, Monaco Ford and Bob Thomas Ford were an amazing team and we were very well cared for. Star Auto is an excellent company to purchase from and we highly recommend! Thanks to you all!

I was looking specifically for a Toyota Camry, and had been to other dealerships and just got a bad vibe at those places. Star Auto sales was different. I researched their reviews on the internet and knew a couple people who purchased their cars there and got them serviced there as well. From start to finish, I had a great experience! I worked with Steve Zanetto, Gary, and Janine. They were all very friendly and genuine. I bought a used 2011 Camry Hybrid, which I love! The only thing I needed was an extra key for the keyless entry/ignition, which they didn't have at delivery. I wanted to see if they followed through, and they did not disappoint. Four days later, I have my new key. The car is beautiful, and I would highly recommend Star Auto Sales to anyone who asks. It's hard to find a good, honest dealership that puts the customer before the sale.

I had the best online experience in a lifetime. Liza my sales woman was FANTASTIC. I made the deal over the phone after calling Liza a few times regarding my budget and she made it happen for me. Liza and I played phone tag for over a week regarding my finances and again she made it happen. Liza even delivered the car too me because I couldn't make it to pick the car up because of my work hours.The car is clean and beautiful as shown on the internet. I love my car! We were pleasantly surprised to discover Star Auto Sales in Meriden CT, and purchased a nice vehicle that was just 3 years old with very low miles. The salesman was very nice. We researched the vehicle's data online, and found it to be quite a good value with just 1 previous owner. We were instructed to take possession of the car in 2 days after it was 'inspected, needing any final repairs, and cleaned'. On the day of pick-up, we were facing 3 issues of concern - 2 which had us go immediately to the service shop before we were able to leave with the 'new' car: both an outside rear reflector shield and the left sidewall shell of the passenger seat were broken. The shop clerk was gracious enough, and ordered replacement for the reflector, but when a service technician supposedly repaired the seat sidewall (within 2 min. by just clipping one part of it, it was still protruding from beneath the seat - momentarily popping off (A phone call was made - service clerk acknowledged and noted). We also discovered 2 miles away from the dealership that the gas tank was nearly empty after a warning light lit up...first time we ever bought a car where the dealership didn't provide a full gas tank. We still recommend this dealership, but be scrutinizing of the car you purchase and inspect carefully before you drive it away.

They used to sell used tires and give you a break down of what needs to be fixed. Now there is a brolicky lady working there. No used tires and high prices.And if you have a used car older than a 2009 they will lie about getting the car parts to fix your car. So you will go elsewhere for repairs or buy one of their cars. Don't go there! Time to find a new auto company.

Before Star Auto came to Meriden, CT it felt like I visited every car repair shop in the Meriden/Wallingford etc. area. I was actually on my way to another repair shop for an oil change when I passed by Star and decided to turn around and give them a try. The service manager was courteous, knowledgeable, and as I found out, honest! I have been going to Star Auto ever since for all my service needs. I have come to know the staff very well and actually don't mind having to spend money at Star, because the service recommended is what I should have, period. I service 4 vehicles with Star, and they are all running as well as I could expect for older vehicles. Star stands behind their parts and service. What more could you ask for!

I've had nothing but excellent and honest service from Star Auto for approximately ten years or more. They're great people to deal with. I've bought several cars and a 15 passenger van from there; I've ask Derek to find me what I wanted if it's not on the lot and he would personally go out and find a very stunning vehicle of my choice and warranteed everything. I've had the opportunity to deal with the owners as well, it just makes dealing with Star Auto more appreciative. Liza and Feven, the girls up front, in sales are superb, they take their jobs very serious and pleasant to talk to, which is good for Start Auto. I have dealt with all members of Star Auto and I find them very pleasant to deal with. I have so much good to say about Star Auto, that it is not enough space for me to write it. I found Star Auto after my business moved from Middletown to Meriden. Their service department is absolutely fantastic. They fix it right, they fix it fast, and they fix it for a very fair price. I always have had some trust issues with mechanics in the past. Not with Star Auto. I have complete trust that Steve and the team of technicians are going to assess the problem, recommend only the work that really needs to get done, and are going to take care of everything for me. I won't go anywhere else and am steadily converting friends and family in the area to them. They really are great!

I have been bringing my SUV to Star Auto for repairs for several years now. I find that I can TRUST that Star Auto will do what needs to be done to my SUV at a VERY FAIR PRICE. They never try to sell me more that what needs to be done to my auto. When a repair needs to be done the price is fair and the work is done properly, I have never needed to return the car as they always keep their promises. IF there is something that I am concerned about, Steve Farmer will take the time to talk to me and explain why something needs to be done and if it is a simple little thing he does not try to upsell me and make the little problem with my car a major repair. They are honest and dependable.

I bought an SUV here at Star Auto Sales. I was very interested in the vehicle but there was rust/rot on the hood about the size of a half dollar. I knew this would eventually be a hole in the hood if not repaired so I complained about it. They did repair it in 1 day. Can't even tell it was there. I was amazed that they did the body work so fast. The price I paid for the vehicle was great compared to other vehicles of the same make and model from other dealers. I highly recommend Star Auto Sales. The people are very friendly and honest. When I went to pick up the vehicle the process took no longer than 30 minutes. I will be back to buy another vehicle for my wife next year. Thank You Star Auto. Very Happy

I had a Radiator replaced in a German vehicle. Seeing as everything was open at the time, timer belts and other due items were done too. The service was performed on time, and at WAY less than the dealer cost ( I've had a radiator replaced before, same model). This Using OEM parts! 7 Months later, and the repair is in excellent shape. (yes, I check under my car.)

I have had my vehicle detailed a few times from Star Auto. They are very friendly and accommodating with getting your vehicle in. When you drop it off they do offer you a ride to home or work. They do not have your vehicle the whole day either and if they do need it for the day they will make sure it is ok with you. They are professional and take notice to detail. The price is right!

My experince with Star Auto has been excellant. Whether purchasing a vehicle or getting one serviced you can count on their honest appaorch. I had the opportunity to observe the service manager in action. On one occassion I watched him check several tire delaers to get the best price and tire for another customer while I was having my car serviced. They never over sell you. I have seen them do a minor repair when the customer was told by another service place more expensive repairs needed to be made. I have bought 2 cars there. In both cases I paid a fair price and they stood by the car if needed.It should be known I live 35 miles away and still bring my autos to them. If you want a worry free expierence for buying a car or getting one serviced Star Auto is the place.

I have had my vehicles serviced there and also bought vehicles from Star Auto. They stand behind the repairs and go out of there way to make sure the customer is happy. I have witnessed the service manager going the extra mile in ensuring the customer gets the right part, repair and pays a reasonable price if not the lowest price. They are not afraid to tell a customer that a big expensive repair is not needed. They also make the buying process easy and comfotable the way it should be. I trust Star Auto So much that I travel 40 miles to bring my vehicles to them for repair-its worth the piece of mind.

Don't bother spending money here. I went to the facility for an auto detailing job, was told about four hours, made the appointment for 8:00 in the morning, drop it off at 7:50 a.m. I allocated 5 hours to give them an extra hour in the case it takes a little bit longer. 1 p.m. came, did not hear nothing. Called at 2 p.m. the service manager answered and said they had issues with a prior car and that they started working on mine now and would be done before closing (5 pm). Now if the job takes approximately 4 hours and they started at 2 pm and would finish by closing 5 pm, you can imagine how the job would turn out. Sure enough, found they just wiped the interior leaving residue of dirt on the center console, debris behind movable seats, wheel well had grime in it, etc. Don't waste your money, the least they could have done is call me if they were failing behind and give me a heads up and the option at that point to continue. After allocating the five hours the job turn out be more like 9 hours and I lost 3 hours of my own productivity. By the way the charge me the full sale price. I would not be going there again.

We watched a particular car online with them for past few months, everytime we called were told it was still there, then made arrangements to go see car and just as we were about to go there, got call saying they just SOLD it....Steve Farmer (owner) scamming with false advertising, I was suspicious because of price of vehicle...they just trying to lure people for business...they shouldn't be allowed to advertise in Cars.com. Very Upset
