My assistant owns a 2010 Mazda SUV, she unfortunately left a light on which ran the battery down, after a jump start she noticed that a message on her backup camera screen read take to dealer for reset. She took it to Stokes Mazda and without even running a diagnostic test on it they simply said that it would cost $6,000 to repair and that she should just buy a new car. Well it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure this one out, they saw an innocent woman come on their lot and they figured they could make a double profit by being able to make a trade, and get a very sweet used vehicle and sell a new vehicle at the same time...very very poor business ethics

Outrageous Service Charges This place charged me $145 diagnostic fee plus $22 shop supplies fee for someone to hook up a computer and give me an outrageous quote. Shop supplies for diagnostic? I recommend another dealer for service. And I’ve called 4 dealers in the Carolinas, all quoted less for the repair than this dealer. Go elsewhere unless you’re desperate.

I'll first have to preface by saying thanks to Tom (or perhaps it was Tim) of Stokes Honda for getting us on the right path. Went in, asked for what I wanted, got shown a selection of exactly what I described, and from there, weighed the pros and cons of each vehicle until I came to a sound choice. No pressure, no hassle. Very enjoyable. Came back the next day and got all the paperwork done with no troubles to speak of.

I can't say enough about my experience at Stokes Mazda! Amazing, Wonderful, Unbelievable! I never enjoy the process of buying a car, buying furniture or anything else when you have to deal with sales people. It never seems like they care about you but about the bottom line. That was totally not my experience at Stoke Mazda. Chuck Meyer has to be the BEST salesman in South Carolina. He never made me think once that he didn't have my best interest in mind. My financials were not in the best shape and between Chuck, Mike and Garrett they made sure that I got the car I would be happy in and that the payments were exactly where we needed them to be. Customer service at its best! I will send everyone to Stokes to work with Chuck and the team!

Called and scheduled an appt with dealership and immediately left house during rush hour traffic to drive 30 minutes to dealer. Got to dealership exactly when I was scheduled to meet with sales manager to look at specific car. Soon as I walked in met salesman who told me they had sold that car earlier. Redneck salesman and sales manager brushed it off like no big deal. All they did is shrug their shoulders and ask what else might interest me...Terrible terrible customer service and feel like they just wanted to get me to their lot. Well, I can tell you I wouldn't go back there even if they were giving a free car away to me. Buyers beware!

Purchased a 2016 Mazda CX5 in April from Chuck Meyer and his team at Stokes Mazda. This is the third vehicle purchased from this team and in a few years, it'll probably be 4. We were considering trading in our old CX5 and Chuck showed us a huge variety of models and handed us the keys to try them all out. He knew exactly what we were looking for and found us our new favorite car. The finance team worked HARD to get us to the price point that we wanted to stay at. We got an absolutely great deal for a car with every bell and whistle that we could have hoped for. Even after the sale was complete, Chuck checked in to make sure that we were loving the car and to make sure that we didn't want or need any of the other goodies they had available. He truly went above and beyond. It's always a pleasure working with him. We'll be customers at Stokes for as long as we live in Charleston, SC.

We looked at many cars at a few dealers. The team at Stokes was great. Early in our car search Clarence worked with us looking at different models. When we came back a few weeks later Clarence had left, but Jimi Barker stepped right in and never missed a beat. As Jimi realized we were looking for something not on the lot he decided it would be better for us to work with Chuck Meyer. I assume they get a commission, but Jimi and Chuck were more interested in taking care of us than who closed the deal. Mazda Chuck Meyer and the entire Stokes team was a pleasure to do business with. They found what we wanted and got it to us in the timeframe we needed. Go see the Mazda team, you'll be glad you did.

I was there for over an hour for GPS update and battery for key fob. I noticed my car sitting in lot then sometime later it was moved to service entrance. No one called me up after 20 minutes to say it was ready. Waited too long and also noticed other people's cars finished way before they were called up to pick up too. As it is people wait long enough in dealership service areas so I think they need to be better at getting people in and out in a timely manner. It didn't seem like service desk was swamped and I have better things to do than spend more time in a dealership. I have no choice because it is the only Mazda near me.

We had to leave town due to family health issues in Grean Bay, WI. The vehicle was within 200 miles for an oil change. Since this will end up being a 2,500 mile trip I decided to get the vehicle in on Christmas Eve at the last minute. The service department was very kind, courteous and professional. The oil was changed, tires rotated and I was on my way. All my service for the CX-5 has been at Stokes Mazda, and I have been very pleased.

I bought a brand new 2016 VW and had Stokes Mazda collision paint my roof black like they have done for 2 other of my cars.... Well this time I was given a price of $425. When I got the car back it was obvious they just painted around the antenna vs removing it. When I pointed this out to the Body Shop manager, I was told if I want the antenna removed it would cost extra money. Money isn't a concern. I wanted the job done right. So if you want the job done right you apparently have to pay more money. Won't ever use them again. Been out of a car for almost 2 weeks because the job wasn't done right the first time.

This is the first time I visited the dealership for an oil change since I bought my vehicle there this year. The first time they arranged to pick up my car which was nice, because they are not located in a central area of Charleston. I asked for this when I bought the car since other dealerships offer shuttle service. Everyone was helpful and the service was pretty quick. However, I really miss getting a complimentary exterior car wash like Toyota does. It wouldn't cost them much and it's a nice little bonus for traveling all the way up there and spending my money there, rather than getting an oil change elsewhere. If they want to stay competitive with area dealerships they should offer shuttle service and complimentary car wash.

I brought my new 2016 MX-5 Miata to Stokes Mazda Service Dept. for the first time about a week ago. The Convertible Top Liner pulled loose from interior Moulding Strip. The Service Manager, Curtis & Master Technician, Eric were both awesome! They researched the issue & fix with Mazda U.S.A. before I even arrived at the Dealer. Soon as I arrived, they got me in and promptly fixed the problem. Following the repair, they both explained everything they did, in detail. Very impressed with their Customer Service, professionalism and eagerness to please. I rarely say this...but I am actually looking forward to bringing my MX-5 back to Stokes Mazda for service in the future! Thanks again Curtis & Eric!

I had a "low tire light" appear on my dash during my trip to Ohio. I just have a recall preformed replacing the indicators reporting low tire and thought maybe I had a problem with them again. The tires were not leaking air in Ohio and I returned be to Summerville without a problem I took the car in to Stokes Mazda and had the tires checked. They found a screw in the right back tire. It could not be patched and a new tire was required, They installed the trie and sent be on my was. Fast service was greatly appreciated.

Took my 2008 Mazda 6 here for repairs to the front suspension. They were going to charge me $2300 to fix it. I had to call 5 times to get them to call my warranty company to see if my wrap warranty would cover the repairs. Two days later and I hadn't heard anything back from them, so I tool my car home for thanksgiving and dropped it off with the Mazda dealership that I purchased it from. I found out later that week that the car only needed a new lower control arm replaced, not an entire steering rack. I also found out that they had filed, and gotten approved by my warranty company without notifying me. To sum it up, they were going to charge me to repair things that weren't broken, and have terrible communication. Personally, I believe they were trying to double dip, by having both me and my warranty company pay for the repairs to me vehicle.

I brought it my Honda Fit for an estimate on damage to the side of my car in September and was provided a print-off of a reasonable estimate. I returned a few months later to have the work done. Stokes Mazda finished their work in the estimated time and for the exact amount of the tentative estimate I was provided months earlier. They did an exceptional job on the body work and paint- I couldn't even tell my car have been previously damaged. I also asked them to remove a bunch of sticky residue from the top of my car that another dealership never removed when I bought my new car and they did so without any extra questions or fees. Everyone was friendly and immediately asked how they could help each time I entered the building. I will definitely go back!

I needed the tint on my drivers side window fixed. I worked with Curtis and he made the entire experience from start to finish, a simple pleasant one! I dropped it off and he called to let me know that it was going to be done a little later than originally expected and if that was ok with me. I had a very unfavorable experience at Stokes service dept. some time ago. Then, in Feb of this year, I got a call from the new service manager. He apologized for the bad experience and to make it up, he arranged to service my 2008 Tribute for free next visit. He sent an email to confirm his offer. It was more than 6 months later that I needed service again, so I brought in my Tribute with the email at the end of October and the service experience was exceptional. What a turn around from my last experience. I definitely will now consider bringing my car back again for servicing.

My Jeep more or less tried to kill me. I was offered a good buyout by the dealer that sold it to me; that left me, for the first time in 25 years, without an actual car, and without the down payment to buy one until the check from the Jeep dealership arrived (they had to pay off the loan first!). Stokes Mazda gave me a good price on a 2016 Miata. They went and found the one I wanted (no easy feat with them being so popular), brought it to Charleston, and got me a really good rate on the auto loan (better than the Jeep loan rate!). They even came and got me from the prior dealership after I rid myself of the Jeep, and gave me a loaner car for the 24 hours I needed to wait for the new Miata to arrive. They were incredibly helpful with the whole process, as well as understanding. Not only did they help me out of a fix (I didn't have to rent a car!), I got an absolutely wonderful car in the process. This is my fourth Miata, and I can say, with confidence, that it's the best I've had (Previous ones were a 1991, 1996, and the 2004 Mazdaspeed -- and yes, the new Miata Club is the better driver, and is even faster). I am amazed at the car, and very happy with the dealership.

I went to Stokes Mazda in North Charleston to lease a 2015 Mazda 3 Grand Touring model. Chuck was my sales rep. and he was fantastic. There was no pressure to purchase a vehicle other than what I specifically requested to test drive. I was able to lease a 2016 model for a very competitive price and they gave me an extremely fair trade-in amount for my 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring van. The staff were friendly and did a good job getting all the paperwork processed in a timely manner. I would go back there to purchase/lease another vehicle solely based upon my experience with Chuck. He was courteous, professional, and got to know me and what my requirements were in order to provide me the best service possible. I highly recommend the dealership to anyone who is looking for a positive car buying experience.

Go see John Calcutt! The nicest sales person I've ever met! No pressure to buy, no haggling, Just pick out the car you like ( we searched online first ) test drive and decide. That's it! Their showroom is really nice and modern and everyone we encountered was friendly and outgoing! In all the years of I've been buying cars I've never gotten so much as a key ring, here at Stokes Mazda they actually gifted us with a very nice bucket full of professional car cleaning supplies to keep the new car clean and shiny! John even bought me a Mazda zoom-zoom t-shirt! That was extremely unexpected and a very sweet thing to do. I can't tell you how pleasant it was to deal with this establishment.

I bought my CX-5 from Stokes a couple years ago and have brought it back for regular service, some underbody repair after hitting a 'run away tire" at high speed on I-95, and one "check engine" event. Pleasant, helpful staff, clean waiting areas, wi fi, and so far, no issues of having too long a wait, fairule to explain needed work, por ushes for "extra" services.

This was my first service for my 2016 Mazda 6 Touring. The technician repaired the driver's door molding satisfactorily and serviced the car. The reason I gave 4 **** instead of 5 for Customer Service was the fact that the car did not receive a complimentary wash. I had a Lexus LX450 for seven years and they always washed it at time of service. After the Lexus, I had a Toyota Camry XLE for three years and they washed it at each service. I was surprised that Stokes Mazda does not provide that service. It was not promised at the time of purchase and I assumed it was standard practice based on my other experiences. It certainly is not a deal breaker; just a surprise I had not even considered. I love the car. It has the styling of a $60,000 to $80,000 European sports sedan for a very good price.

I came to Stokes to have a spare key made for a vehicle I purchased at a dealership in Gastonia, NC. Richard Green was my Service Advisor and did an outstanding job of getting me in and out very quickly. The dealership in Gastonia was paying for the key cutting and programming labor but was very difficult to get on the phone to make the payment to Stokes. Instead of making me wait around until the other dealership provided the payment info (about 4 hrs later) Richard let me leave and take care of it later that day. I really appreciate the customer service and respect for my personal time.

I went to this dealership twice within the last week. First time was to check why my check engine came on in my 2013 Mazda3 and the second time was to do a used car check for a 2007 Mazda3. Both times, I was impressed with the quality of their customer service. I was greeted as soon as I came in and they addressed what I needed and gave me an estimate of how long would it would take for them to service my cars. Rich was awesome and very helpful. He didn't make me feel like I was dumb because I clearly had no idea on what to do with my 2007 Mazda3. They helped me decide on what repairs I needed to do first and what can wait for a little bit. I was treated with respect and they didn't make me feel like I was just another number. They took the time to explain to me what was wrong and what needs to be done. I had my 2005 Mazda Tribute in for a 6 month oil change. Several other issues were revealed during the inspection. I decided to get all the issues resolved while the car was in the shop. I was offered a free loaner over night since the work would take awhile. The replacement parts and repairs were completed in a timely manner. All work was completed by noon the following day. Thanks to the many technicians and service people who did an outstanding job.

First of all we love our cx-9. We have had no problems in 40000 miles. This is my wife's car and I hardly drive it. On a recent trip to Maine I noticed something pulling in the steering. Took it it, problem diagnosed with the axle and they ordered the part. I could not take the car back in myself and my wife had to do it. I want to thank you for treating my wife so well when she came in to get the work done yesterday. She arrived early and the service manager let her in before they opened and got her taken care of so she could get to work . This means a lot to me that you watched out for her like I would have. I was helped by Chuck Meyer and he made the whole process smooth and easy. I bought a brand new Mazda 3 and he helped me narrow down the trim model that was best suited for me, even taking the time to teach me how to drive manual before I bought the vehicle to make sure that I would like it. I ended up going with automatic. After dealing with several other dealer ships in the north Charleston area I was most pleased with stokes mazda. They will make sure you get the car you need and not the one they want you to buy. Crews Chevy was one of my worst experiences in buying a car and I will never send anyone there. Even if you don't want a Mazda I would still recomend buying from stokes Mazda just because of their customer service. Even in the finance department I felt comfortable the whole time and I never felt pressured. Give them a chance before you go anywhere else.

Once again, the service department did a great job. We had a problem with the brake system and Heather jumped on the problem and did a fantastic job. They provided us with a rental car at no charge. We were expecting our second grandchild and my wife was leaving the state to go be with our daughter. A real bad time to have car problems. Even though we did not need the rental, Heather made the necessary arrangements in case our car was not ready before my wife left town. It is important to get a good deal when purchasing a vehicle but it really helps with the decision process when you have a service department that goes the extra mile to help their customers. In my driving life time, I have purchased and dealt with several dealers in the low country. There has only been a couple I would recommend buying from because of their service department. Do not believe them when they tell the diagnostic charge will go to the repair, it's a lie, and the worst part is we told them what was wrong and they still ran and charged us, after the repair of what we had told them was wrong they didn't apply the charge and take it off the amount of the repair. Oh yea, and they try to sell you a battery, guess they do this frequently. Have been a long time customer as I have a 2003 Mazda 6, just lost my business........

Great service. Just think there are some complimentary things that should be offer when car is brought in for service or repair. Complimentary things like free tire rotation with oil change, especially when a car is only a year old. Some people travel or drive more in the first two years due to having a more dependable car. Plus, just vacuum the drive side of the car free of charge. Please make sure hood and door(s) are wiped clean of the mechanic finger/hand prints.

My wife and I decided to purchase a new vehicle as ours had over 150,000 miles on it. We decided on a small SUV. After quite a bit of research decided on the Mazda CX-5 with the 2.5L engine. It's now a few days old and a couple hundred miles on it. We couldn't be happier so far. It is as advertised with a little more of the "sporty" feel than the others in its class. We will be taking it back to Stokes Mazda for the maintenance work when it comes due. The customer service was outstanding, all the way from our sales rep., Dale, to the managers and the shop personnel. Very good experience for a good product.

When I went into Stokes Mazda, I was recommended to Cody Lakes. I truly understood why he was highly recommended. I knew very little about Mazda vehicles. He was down to Earth and help me catch up to speed on Mazda, particularly the Mazda CX-5 SUV. I told him what I was looking for and he delivered. It was everything I wanted in a small SUV and a whole lot more. I very impressed of Cody when he not only made sure that I was satisfied with the purchase but he made sure that my twin daughters was taken care of by providing snacks and drinks for them and offered entertainment for them to help keep them occupied in the form of providing a tv to watch cartoons and showing them the playroom where there were toys. I think Stokes Mazda practice of trying to upsell repair services that are not needed is despicable! I brought my car in for a simple oil change and their mechanic sprayed some sort of red substance around my oil pan to make it look like it was leaking and to try and charge me $1500 to repair it! Ludicrous! This is not the first time, on a previous occasion they tried to tell me I needed my transmission fluid changed and my car doesn't even have 50,000 miles on it! I could go on and on but after this latest stunt I will never use Stokes Mazda services again and I will tell everyone I know how you try to rip people off! My car is garage kept as well and there isn't a drop of fluids anywhere. Then they sent a sales person to try and buy my car for a ridiculously low price! Insane!

Traded my 2012 CX9 for the 2015 CX5 since I didn't need 3 row seating anymore. This little suv gets up and goes! The only thing I miss is my heated seats, but it's all good. I was just thinking back to my first Mazda, a 323 hatchback in 1989 bought in England while we were stationed at RAF Lakenheath. Talk about coming full circle. I hate buying new cars. I haven't bought a new car in over 15 years and was dreading getting back into the car buying hunt. That all changed when I walked through the door at Stokes Mazda. Looking for a compact SUV, I had already test driven the Ford Escape. Honda CR-V, and Buick Encore. It was time to look at the CX-5. The sales staff, Chuck Meyers, was extremely patient as we went on several test drives and car viewings. At no time during the process were there any 'sales pressure' to buy and the staff never said the dreaded 'what will it take to put you in this car today' phrase I had already heard from a few other dealers. Stokes worked with me on price, gave me a fair deal on my trade in, and made me and my family feel like we were always part of the Stokes Mazda team. The Mazda show room's decor is as clean and crisp as the Mazda 6 we purchased. Our salesman, Chuck Meyer, showed us three or four cars. When we made our decision he went out of his way to make sure we knew everything we needed to know about the car and all the fancy bells and whistles, in particular the back-up features and the passing information, from that came with it. We drove it 950 miles in just a few days, the ride was smooth, we knew how to operate it all, and lo and behold when we returned the salesman had plugged in our name and address on the GPS so we got home easily. On top of that, we love the car and the way it looks.

Brian Smith took all the info from the moment I walked in door, till the service was complete. No wait time and completed in a timely fashion. I have purchased two cars from this dealer . I was pretty happy till the last service. I had the service guy walk out and show me my air conditioner air filter in the cabin of the car. It had pine straw on it. He said we are running a special this week, 40.00 bucks to replace it. I said no thanks I can do that myself. On the Internet dealers across the country are charging $80.00 to $100.00 bucks for this, so I guess that was a deal??!I looked it up on the Internet and had a filter shipped to my house for $12.00 bucks by the time I walked out to my car.Just changed it in about two minutes . Thanks stokes for placing the filter back in with all of the pine straw laying on top of the filter . If you turned it upside down it would have fallen off. Also tell your tech that he put the little door back on incorrectly and it was not creating a vacuum in the system .I fixed it!!!

In 2004 I purchased at Stokes. Ten years later I returned to trade in that vehicle for another. Three months later I brought my daughter in to purchase her first car. I believe loyalty is a two way street, and because I feel Stokes Mazda has been loyal to me I'll remain loyal to them. I would not trust anyone else to give me a fair deal! We just had the 5000 mile servicing done on our new 2014 Mazda CX-5 (purchased in February from Stokes Mazda). Another great experience!!! I called Heather a couple of weeks ago to set up the appointment - she accommodated the date & time that I wanted. Since we live about 1 1/2 hours south of Charleston, I wanted to combine the servicing on a date that we were already planning to be in Charleston for an MUSC appointment. No problem! This servicing appointment takes about an hour, however, the day of our appointment the service department was backing up with an usually high volume of cars to be serviced (due to localized flooding in Charleston caused by high rainfall amounts). We started to get concerned that we would be sitting there a long time & miss our doctor's appointment which was about 30 minutes away across town. But Heather worked her magic - she was not going to let us miss our appointment. Our car was fully serviced within 90 minutes & we easily made it to our doctor's appointment on time. While Heather was the "face" of our service experience, I do want to say that the persons who actually serviced our car did an excellent job as well - we just did not get to interact with them. The one negative I would point out about the service visit was that seating in quiet areas away from the TV where you could read to pass the time are very limited.

I called regarding a certified pre-owned Mazda CX-9 and made arrangements to view the vehicle Friday afternoon, August 8, 2014. I made the three hour drive from the Upstate, and the vehicle was fortunately, as described, clean and relatively blemish free for a 2011 model unit. Knowing what I want, what I should expect to pay, fully understanding auto finance, FICO, etc. there was nothing left to do but quickly finalize the numbers and head back to the Upstate...A 60 minute, maybe 90 minute ordeal if things were busy, and away I go back up I-26.... Well, not quite...The "internet department" apparently exists in theory only at Stokes Mazda, as I was passed off to a cordial, seasoned, regular salesman with a newbie trainee handling the secretarial and "gopher" tasks. (not a problem, but not exactly what I was expecting either) Now time to talk business, I was first presented with a list of additional fees in the form of the infamous "first place finish mop-n'-glo" for some ungodly ridiculous amount as well as the $399.50 administrative fee, which was already "supposed" to be included in my (not so) "special internet price" (hint: print out the vehicle of your choice, and on the very last line of the last page of the E-brochure it clearly states that this fee is already INCLUDED in your internet price... $399 savings for reading the fine print). Having caught this "oversight error" I was finally presented with the numbers which were close to what I had expected in the beginning, without all the silly additional dealer profit items and subtle overcharges. I wonder how many people have been charged twice??? Quite a few, I'm sure. (did any regulators, attorneys or perhaps Mazda corporate just catch that???)Satisfied that everything was acceptable, we now begin the arduous task of signing and initialing all of the disclosures, warranty info, insurance verification, carfax data, etc. All is well....WRONG!!!Mere moments before going to the finance office to do the title and finance work, I am now told that despite all of the certified pre-owned documentation that I have already been given and signed off on.... If I really really truly want the vehicle to have the CPO warranty, an additional $900 would be due above and beyond the "special internet price" that all parties have thus far agreed to. Now apparently MAZDA corporate thinks this vehicle is ALREADY CPO, as this vehicle is advertised on their corporate nationwide CPO website as already having this coverage in effect. However, Stokes Mazda apparently chooses to do the old bait and switch shell game and advertises their prices NOT including this additional CPO fee, which is suddenly remembered at the very last moment after the customer is too emotionally involved in the transaction to see what just transpired before them. Not me, however, as I have bought 14+ vehicles that I can remember in the last 18 years or so... Naturally I have heard and seen it all so there really isn't a new trick that I'm not prepared for. Having endured all I intended to endure, I made a fast exit out the door. I will never know what further escapades the F&I office had lying in wait for me, not that any of it would be something I couldn't remedy by refinancing back home. Truly a shame, as I really liked the car, but I will not reward the type of behavior I experienced with my time and money.

I just went in to check out the vehicles I'd viewed online, only to find out upon arrival that they were in different locations. A little disappointed needing a 7 seat vehicle, something other than a van, Lorenzo Gibbs showed me what is now my new car. I found him to be very honest and likable, willing to see me through with my 3 kids until the end. As I mentioned, my kids were there and he gave them all balloons and helped them find their favorite show in the waiting area. This is a small thing, however, because of his integrity and my comfort with him through the process, I am very happy with my experience. I've been to a few dealers who have been dishonest and seemed to only care about the money, however, Lorenzo restored my faith in car salesman. Because of him, Stokes has made a loyal customer. Thanks for everything and I almost forgot, my "old faithful" was my down payment, so I didn't have to pay anything down. My payments are in the ball park that I wanted them, many thanks.

I don't enjoy spending money either on something I can't wear, eat or write with (the last thing is for the really nice lady in the service department that I don't know her name but she shares my clepto traits when it comes to a good writing pen). On July 14, I took my son to look at Mazda 3 and Mazda 6. When we arrived the very first thing I noticed was that each car on the lot had $1950 added to the msrp price. This was due to the dealer adding interior and exterior unwanted options to each car. My thought is that options like those are pure profit makers. Not a good way to start. The salesman was new but polite and informative. Took us for a test drive, showed us how things operated on the car, etc..... He asked if we were interested in buying. We answered we are not sure which model my son was interested. Soon, the sales manager asked if he could help us. We asked him to price both cars with certain options. He returned, of course several minutes of waiting in between, with his quote. The quote was over $3,000 more than a verbal quote over the phone from a Mazda dealer in Columbia. I just turned the quote around to him and said he was too high. He asked me what was I expecting. I told him 3k less than that quote. Several wasted minutes later, he appears with a new quote. Dropped the price $400.00 dollars. Then proceeds to say he only has a $100 to play with on this car. Looked at my son and we left. The sales manager was not interested in selling that car. His attitude was more of I am ready to go home than how can I win your business. He was inattentive to what we were saying and just plain rude. Next day I finalized a deal with the Columbia dealer. Happily drove up there to pick up the car. We were treated by an extremely friendly staff. From the salesman, finance man and the owner. We were the eighth buyer in the past two weeks to come from Charleston to their dealership. That alone tells you all you need to know about this dealership.

I went in for an oil change and was concerned about a warning light staying.. It was a busy day, lots of people waiting. I also asked for the free full circle service report card. When I checked out, there initially was a charge for checking out the warning light on the dash. I had not been told about that charge prior to my visit when I called to make an appointment or when I arrived. However I agreed to pay a reduced amount, leaving a little confused and annoyed about the charge. After leaving, Heather said she realized that it was not right since she did not inform me of that charge. She voided all charges and called me to explain what she did and why. I had called my dad earlier complaining that maybe they feel women don't know about cars. Heather changed my mind about that and the dealership. Honesty and fairness is hard to find these days, but I experienced it first hand at Stokes mazda. I would go back and recommend this dealership, Heather, and her boss who agreed to void the charge!

Even though they were slammed the day I brought my car in, they looked at it within 30 minutes of my arrival, told me they'd have it ready first thing in the morning, and gave me a rental car for free for the night because my roommate was out of town and didn't have access to a ride. When I came to pick my car up the next day, they gave me a $50 discount on the repair, just because. Super friendly and caring staff. Van and the Stokes team were a pleasure to purchase a car from. Van has superior knowledge on vehicle features and capabilities. Most importantly he listened to my desires and responded accordingly. When I told him I wasn't ready to purchase on a specific day, he still spent 3 hrs with me test driving and showing me cars. At the end of the day he didn't try to influence me into buying that day. I took my Miata in for service last Saturday. Expecting a long wait I asked my son to pick me up so we could visit the local coffee shop. The service rep took down all the questions I had and said he would let me know what he thought after the checkup. I thought it would be several hours before this would happen. Before we were able to sit down to drink our coffee my phone rang. It was the service rep telling me my car was ready. I was shocked at how fast the service was. Then he proceeded to answer all the questions I had had. One was about my battery which I figured needed replacement. He told me it was a good battery and I just needed to crank it more often. He could have sold me a battery without my blinking an eye but that didn't happen. I was highly pleased with the service and will continue to take my Miata in at scheduled times.

I went in for the oil change service special. I also requested that they take a look at my engine mounts as the shifting was causing a shudder in the drive-train and the clutch and hydraulics seemed solid. The oil change service was performed to my satisfaction. A great deal as well. However, the request to check the engine mounts was not performed at all. Further, it was not even written down on the service order. When I questioned this, another service consultant stated they hardly ever go and I could easily check this by going back and forth from drive to reverse. My car is a manual. I was rather shocked at this turn of events, especially as I had just read the customer reviews in the waiting area which held the service consultants in high regard. So I have a Miata with clean oil and suspect engine mounts. I guess I should try AAA next.

My car needed some somewhat major work done to my suspension, specifically my control arms needed replacing among other things. It definitely needed doing, but I feel everything "price-wise" was marked up a little to high for my liking. I am now out of pocket more than I care to admit, but on the upside, my old car is running almost like new again even with 140K+ miles on it. They must know what they are doing because it drives way better than it has for years. I guess i'll take a large, one time repair bill over having to buy a new car at any day!

I emailed the dealer through cars.com and immediately I received an email and phone call to set up a test drive. Everyone was friendly. I was shown the car I expressed interest in and asked to take it to my mechanic for him to look over the car. My mechanic recommended that I pass on the car due to much corrosion caused by road salt. The car originally came from Rochester NY. When I got back to the dealership I told them I was not interested. There was no pressure to buy that car or any other car. The salesperson asked if I had few minutes to talk to the General Manager about what my mechanic had informed me. The Manager was not pushy or aggravated, he just wanted to know the mechanics critiques. If there is another vehicle on their lot that stoked my interest, I would definitely go back to try and make the deal. I would recommend Stokes to my family, friends, and you strangers out there too.

When I first pulled up, the guy who greeted me was extremely nice and helpful. So was everyone I encountered while I was there. I came in for an oil change, and they were having a special, synthetic for $20. Because I'd been here before, I also got a check in the mail to use towards the oil change from the oil company, and my oil change ended up being free. While I was waiting, they came out and told me that my car was due for an alignment, and they were running a special on that too. I got an oil change, tires balanced and rotated, and an alignment, all in under an hour. And I got such a great deal for such quality service.

We bought a new 2014 Mazda CX-5 a little over a month ago. Not only was the buying experience the best (I already wrote a reviews on that), but the car is just GREAT!!!!!!!! Now it's pollen season and there is a fine sheen of yellow "dust" on everything. I was detailing our new red Mazda to keep it sparkling clean inside and out when I noticed a small cut in the upholstery of the arm rest on the back right passenger side door. There was a small flap of upholstery dangling. Since neither my husband nor I have sat in the back of the car while riding in it, we never saw this cut for the first few weeks of owning the car. I called Tim Maggard the sales manager, explained my issue, and he swung into action. I made an appointment to take the car in a few days after my call and he said he would have his "interiors man" on site to take care of the problem. When we got to the dealership yesterday we were greeted by Jerome, our salesman; Tony, the business manager; Rick, the general manager; and, of course, Tim, the sales manager. Plus every other person in the dealership that we saw greeted us as well and made sure that someone was helping us. And we were invited to sit in a very comfortable, well appointed, immaculately clean waiting area.. Well it turned out that the cut was something the "interior man" could not fix adequately - so under warranty Tim had the inside right rear door panel replaced with a brand new one while we waited. The total time elapsed was about 90 minutes from driving onto the lot to leaving. What fantastic service!!! This dealership has far exceeded our expectations in every area. It runs like a well oiled machine - everyone so pleasant and friendly knowledgeable, efficient, and working together to make for the best possible customer experience.

I have a Mazda Miata that I treat like a baby, and I'm extremely picky on who works on it and how the service is performed. This is the second dealership I have worked with. I can not tell you how happy I am with their service department. They have accommodated me on short notice, done extra work that I didn't think of until I arrived, and always do a great job. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

The service area of this dealership is quick, efficient and provides the best care for my car. They are able to diagnose any problems very quickly and repair them. This is my first new car in almost 20 years, & I couldn't be happier with not only my choice of car, but also with my choice of dealer! I had already done a lot of research before I went to Stokes Mazda in Charleston - I even test drove this make/model car at a dealership closer to home - so I knew what I wanted. The first time I drove onto the lot I met Jerome - a friendly, no-pressure sales associate who let me test drive a few CX-5's with the various features I wanted. The next day I had a follow-up call from Stephanie who assured me that they were there to negotiate a good deal for the exact car that I wanted. Stephanie told me that when I was ready to buy I could contact Tim, the sales manager. Two days later I called Tim. I told him exactly what I wanted - model, trim package, accessories, color - & asked him to see if he could find that car & to work up a total price. Within 2 hours he called me back with all the details. Within the hour I called him back with a minor modification downward in the price & we had a deal. Tim was fantastic to work with - he was more than willing to do everything over the phone as I live about 2 hours away from this dealership. The next day my husband & I & our 3 dogs drove up to Charleston to do all the paperwork. We were greeted by Rick, the general manager. Tony, their business manager, already had everything ready for us to sign. We were introduced to the service manager. We felt very comfortable & happy & taken care of that day & that we would be taken care of in the future on service visits! So you can see that my car buying experience was both excellent & easy, but I would point out 4 areas in which improvement could be made: 1. The car with the features I wanted was located at another dealership out of state. I was told that when the car arrived at my dealership someone would call to tell me when I could pick it up. No one called me & after 2 days I had to call to ask about it. 2. There were 3 accessories I wanted & had already paid for in the negotiated price of the car. When I picked up the car none of these accessories were installed in the car & I had to ask where they were. After a bit of checking around it was determined that none of my accessories were in stock & had to be ordered. It would have been more customer focused to have addressed this issue with me ahead of time rather than me having to ask about it. On the plus side - the dealership did immediately order my accessories & they are shipping them to me via UPS. 3. My new car is equipped with Sirius/XM radio. Before I drove the car off the lot I asked the sales associate why only the preview Sirius channel would tune in. His answer was that it just needed to update, & would do so as I drove home. When I got home - still no Sirius channels, so I called the dealership & spoke with the general manager. He said the business manager registers the car through Mazda with Sirius once the paperwork is done & that within 3 days my Sirius radio would be up with all channels. 3 days later - still no Sirius channels, so I spoke with the business manager this time & he said he did not know the answer to my problem but would find out. Within 2 hours he got another sales associate on the phone who walked me through the process - I had to contact Sirius myself to activate the account, but I needed the correct phone number to call. (There was actually paperwork that explained this whole process that was not given to me when I picked up the car.) 4. The new phone system that the dealership just installed proved very challenging when trying to call anyone at the dealership. I was repeatedly transferred to either the wrong dealership, to a generic voicemail box or cut-off. Twice it took me 8 phone calls in a row before I got the person for whom I asked. If you want a new car - buy a Mazda CX-5 with the Grand Touring package in Soul Red Metallic - and definitely buy it from Stokes Mazda in Charleston, SC!

My wife and I had determined that we were going to purchase a low mileage Toyota Camry. We thought we should drive a Honda and Mazda for comparison, just to be sure. We generally keep our cars for many years and for over 100,000 miles. We met with Phil Tackett and explained our needs. He spent an entire afternoon with us testing the Mazda6, several Camry models, and the Honda Accord. We liked the Mazda6, but were afraid we could not purchase one and remain within our budget. He and his manager were able to find us a barely used 2014. They allowed us to take the car home for the weekend to test it. I was surprised that they would do this. We loved the car and decided it was the right car for us as well as being within our price range. They offered such a good price we thought there must be a gimmick, and when we came back there would be some hidden charges. This was not the case at all, they quickly walked us through all the necessary paperwork and explained how to transfer our insurance from our old vehicle to the new one. I have already recommended Stokes Mazda to a co-worker and would have to say that they have gotten me over my fear of car shopping in the future. Many thanks to the Stokes team.

No pressure, very knowledgeable about the car and with a great sense of humor! Everyone I came in contact with was super nice and extremely helpful. Car buying experiences can be ugly and most people I know hate it! But they were obviously dealing with another 'brand' because the Mazda dealer was totally different. They made it easy and just an all around nice experience. I was NOT going to make a decision that day, but they happen to have the exact car that I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. I have a 2008 Mazda3 isport hatchback. I bought it two years ago private party and have had it serviced here since the day I got. They've done great work so far. One time they said I had an oil leak, before I had them do anything I checked it my self and it was such a small leak I told them not to worry about it, and it hasn't been a problem since. Other than that I haven't had any problems. They always send coupos for oil changes and services which always helps!

We bought a 2013 Mazda 5 on 12/23/2013. The salesman and sales mgr were wonderful! Alex and Sean deserve 5 stars without exception! We were welcomed and treated very, very well. Our opinions and experience truely mattered to these 2 gentlemen. I would rate the dealership with nothing but 5 stars had it not been for our experience with the finance portion of the deal and a gentleman named Tony. He was certainly friendly and kind but we left with a negative feeling regarding the way he handled our financing concerns. Ultimately, I spoke with the finance company and worked out the details and handled the issue on my own, without his assistance/interference. Overall, I would certainly recommend this dealership to a friend or family member who was in the market for a new/used car. However, while I would and will absolutely recommend Alex and Sean, I will advise them to ask for a different finance officer if possible. And the car is perfect for our family! Alex did a great job!

Because of a serious injury to my cervical spine, I have a special need for a car that is sturdy and has the curtain air bags that stabilize the head in case of an accident. I thoroughly checked every crossover on the market. Only 2 made my final list of SUV's that provided 2+ tons of curb weight and still got good gas mileage - BMW X1/X3 and the Mazda CX-5 Auto Touring. What tipped the scale for the CX-5 was the double (angled) door reinforcements and one for the roof area. Once we sat in our car, we were super surprised at all the standard items that came with it. We weren't really looking for a car phone or talking music lady. The crunch aspect of the front end with an engine drop to the ground and thereby disengaging before it goes thru to the driver's seat was a big plus as well as the steering wheel compressing. The BMW X-1/X3 does not have these safety items as standard AND was priced over $20K more than the Mazda CX-5. We just filled the gas tank for the first time. We had a 29.6 MPG in what was mixed driving. I love the way it rides and handles and what a surprise to get the blind spot warning which eliminates the stress of changing lanes and the rear view while backing was also a big surprise that does the same thing by safely showing one's backing up. This great ride has already changed my life for the better. I/We can travel again to see friends far and wide. I've never been in a wreck but I feel secure in the CX-5's safety features. I never feel pressured to buy a service or have a repair done if it's not convenient for me to have done at the time. I am always greeted right away and when they say it will be done it is. The only thing that could improve the service is a "real" coffee machine!! Especially in the AM! Other then that awesome experience as usual!!

I was in the market to go back to a car from an SUV to get better gas mileage. After extensive research I kept coming back to the Mazda in terms of safety, MPG, body style was great, a lots of options even on the lower end models. I stopped by for a quick look and maybe a test drive and met my sales rep Lorenzo. He definitely has patience, because I was back and forth between 2 models before I finally made my decision to take home the Mazda 3 iTouring. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! Between Lorenzo's knowledge of the inventory, his patience to put up with me and the rest of the staff I would say they are a great place to do business. If they don't have what you need, they will find it.

Just stopped for a simple regular oil change service and N2 refill on tire. Entire staff was professional, courteous, and friendly. Service was provided very quickly and service manager kept all of us informed on the status of our services. The whole process was quick and professional with genuine care. As a side note, the lady ahead of me had missed getting breakfast before arriving at the service department. When asking about food options, the service manager quickly and cheerfully offered a biscuit he had just picked up for himself on the way in. That shows some extra effort in customer service.

We purchased our cx 9 in 2012, we love the car and have not had a single problem with it. The service department has been excellent. Van was our sales rep. I then needed a new car in 2013 at did some research on the best mpg cars. I test drove many if then, civic , nissan etc. But settled on the mazda 3 skyactive. Once again I met with van and was out of the door in two hours and very happy. The 3 gets incredible mileage, I have been averaging 38 mpg, 70percent hwy 30 city. On the hwy at 65mph I get 42 -43 mpg easy. We love our cars, no problems, great service and van was awesome.

I spent several days of Internet searching for a vehicle that got good gas mileage, could carry four golfers and clubs and haul a small trailer when needed - and handled well on the road. The 2014 Mazda CX5 with 2.5 L engine and FWD was #1 in most reviews. The sales experience with Van with smooth and uncomplicated. His overview introduction to using the car was the best ever. So far, the fuel economy (31 mpg.) has exceeded my expectations.

After calling dozens of repair shops to inquire about fixing an electrical problem with my Protege, I bit the bullet and took it to this Stokes Mazda service center. Not only was the service specialist extremely nice, she also had a similar problem with a car of hers and could relate (albeit a different make and model). The quotes were very reasonable--something I would not generally associate with a dealer service center--and the work was done very quickly and well. I've found my go-to repair shop for sure.

The Mazda CX-5 was the third small SUV I drove and was by far the best. Great handling and good energy. The controls were easy to use, it was comfortable and nicely appointed. Buying a new car can be a harrowing experience, but the folks at Stokes made it exciting and stress free. The gentleman who helped me was knowledgeable, patient, and really listened to my needs. Never thought I would ever say this especially about a car dealership and employees...BUT an OUTSTANDING experience in every regard. Phil Thickett was our salesman - answered every question I had..was very knowledgeable of the vehicles who and NOT ONCE did I feel pressured by him or other employees to buy now..buy now. We were then introduced to Brian the service advisor interrupted his luch to talk to us about the service side of the business..again NO PRESSURE and finally Tony Wager to do all the finacial requirements....he answered every question in language that was understandable, offered suggestions, explained about GAP insurance, maintenance plans etc.again my wife and I never experienced any SALES PRESSURE to buy the car. Our intent was to just look at the MAZDA 3, get some info the look at a NISSON.....I was so impressed and my wife elated at the way we were received and dealt with that we decided to buy the Mazda and not even look at the Nisson....our advice...for a great shopping experience, friendly and helpful employees, a great buying experience an NO PRESSURE SALES..you will NOT REGRET visiting STOKES MAZDA .

I hadn't looked at the CX-5 until I read a consumers report on it. We had chosen to go with a Forester at that point, but I dropped by to look at it. WOW, great looks and features. Met Van our salesperson and discussed what I was looking for. Told him I would bring the wife by to look at it on Sunday. She hates car shopping!!! Went by and she liked it and test drove it the next evening. She changed her mind and wanted the CX-5. Needless to say, closed the deal on Tuesday. Car is fantastic, handles great. The more she drives it the more she likes it. Wish she'd let me drive it!!

Great deal on low mileage Corvette in the local area and did a test drive on the vehicle. Of course, I was greatly impress of the overall performance of the Corvette. I decided to go ahead and make the purchase of the Corvette with the friendly salesman, who fill the car up with gas, and so far no regrets. The Corvette was detailed by the service department a few days later and it was an impeccable job. Yes, I am overall a very satisfied customer .

This dealership is absolutely useless, I purchased TWO vehicles from them in the last 6 months and they are just useless, no sense of customer service. Once you sign you're pretty much on your own. It's too bad they're the only Mazda dealership in the area, my next mazda I need to travel to a different location, I don't even care how far away it is. The receptionist is simple minded and refers to customers as "honey", the salesmen never once called for a follow up, and everyone else is just garbage. disgusting

I went to Stokes Mazda today to buy a car for my daughter. She had picked a car online as she lives out of state, and she wanted me to go test drive it. From the moment I arrived, the sales and finance department treated me like I was the only customer there. They showed me the car my daughter was interested in, and just so that I would have all possible choices, they brought out new cars for me to review. By the time my daughter had arrived, I had the complete picture of the car she wanted, and what was available for me as far as new cars. Although I was there 7 hours looking at the cars and waiting for my daughter to arrive, they never once treated me like I was the guy hanging out in the lobby. They kept me engaged in a nice, friendly way, and answered every one of my questions. In the end, my daughter ended up choosing the used car that she had found online, and when I told them that my mechanic had found a small oil leak on the top of the engine, they said they would fix it for no charge, and we proceeded to buy the car.Stokes Mazda sales and finance were nice, considerate and about as far removed from the typical snake oil car salesman as they could be.I would highly recommend Stokes Mazda for anyone looking for a new or used car.

I have taken my Mazda6 to this dealership twice. The first time my vehicle was due for a 60K service. The work seemed fine but they definitely tried to sell me things I did not need. I should have learned my lesson there... unfortunately I didn't. Recently my check engine light came on. I reset the gas cap twice to make sure a loose gas cap wasn't the issue and the check engine light remained on. When I called to get an appointment they told me there would be a charge (~$110) for the diagnostic but that it would be applied to any repairs that might be needed. Since my car is still under warranty I decided it was best to take it in as soon as possible. Frustratingly, they determined that the culprit was a loose gas cap. They also determined that my battery needed replacing and quoted me an insane amount to replace it. But... for convenience purposes and the warranty on the life of the battery I told them to go ahead and do it. OF COURSE the battery did not qualify as a repair from a result of the diagnostic for the check engine light. So $300 later for a new battery and a loose gas cap, I was simply nauseous. Driving back to work from the dealership, I received an email... FROM THIS VERY DEALERSHIP with the subject line of "Check engine light on? We can help" for a free check engine light diagnostic. I was near tears. I immediately called Curtis in the service center and he asked me to forward him the email. I did and he said he would talk to the service manager and get back to me. Well, I had to follow up with him again after a few days and I eventually received an response via email stating that the service manager said that "the coupon could not be honored for the last service visit. The coupon must be presented at time of service write up, However it can be used in thefuture if the check engine light comes on again." So while the dealership may have gotten their $110 for the diagnostic, I will never ever spend another penny at this dealership, any Stokes dealership, or ever purchase another Mazda because of their atrocious customer service. I hope that sharing this experience will help someone else avoid the frustration I've endured with this company.

Yesterday my husband and I went to this dealership to get a Mazda3. I told the man exactly what I wanted and he told me the trim I should get would be the Grand Touring. First off I loved the car. He was right it had everything I wanted. So after we drove the car we told them what we wanted to pay and he came back and told us that what we wanted to pay would be fine and everything was going to work out. We had to go to our bank to get the loan but the bank was closed. So they gave us the keys and said just to get it down tomorrow and bring the car back to get it detailed and the tank filled up once we got the loan. So I was driving the car all that night and today. When we went to get the loan they pointed out the VIN number on the sheet didn't match the car. They didn't make a big deal about it. Just used to VIN on the car to secure the loan. So we got the loan and the check and went driving back to the Mazda dealership to pay them and get my new car cleaned up.Before I handed them the check I casually said something about about the VIN's not being the same, thinking it was just some silly mistake. The financier looks at me confused and says that the VINS wouldn't match because that wasn't my car. Of course I'm confused and told him so. Apparently without telling us they decided if we wanted to pay a certain amount per month that we had to get a lesser model. NO one told us this. We both were under the impression that we were getting the car we drove off the lot with! When we said as much all they had to say was we're sorry for the misunderstanding. Do you want the lesser model? Of course we said no. At this point just on Principal of the matter. My husband even tried talking to the manager who took a phone call from his PERSONAL phone in the middle of my husband talking! The salesman also told us that he informed us of the change, which he certainly didn't. Why would I take home one model but be getting another? That just doesn't make any sense!What makes it all worse to us is how much they thanked my husband for serving in the military and how they respected him so much and how gratefully they were to him and they they tried to rip us off! Obviously I give this dealership the lowest rate I can for trying to rip us off!

I was very impressed with my entire car purchase from beginning to end to find the exact car that I wanted. I initially dealt with Dana, as she is the internet sales manager. She is very prompt in answering any questions and if it is something that she isn't able to reply to, she will refer an actual sales representative to contact me. Since my car of choice (trim, transmission, & color) was not available at Stokes, all three did their best to find me the closest vehicle state-wise that matched my desires.Anthony called me a couple of times to see if I wanted to either dealer ship the car (manual transmission), but I was reluctant to go this route since it would be an unknown person driving my car in a manual for over 200 miles. In the end, he said that he was able to freight the vehicle from FL to Stokes for a very decent and reasonable charge. The next day I went into Stokes and was greeted by Adrian who dealt with our sales, with Anthony as his manager. Adrian is very knowledgeable, curteous, and was great to deal with.What really impressed me the most was their generous gesture toward treating loyal customers. This is our 5th Mazda purchase (3rd from Stokes) and since my car was being freighted and would not be in until the end of the week, they offered me a brand new off the lot rental Mazda3. This rental was the same trim level of the car that I was to receive (different color and different transmission). I did not expect this at all, and it was not necessary for them to do this as any four-banger would do for the time being would do. It has been a pleasure driving the new rental, as I treated it as my own, and detailed the interior before returning back to the dealership to pick up my 2012 Skyactiv Mazda3. I have been without a car for a month and for them to do this was greatly appreciated. I can't thank them enough.For all Mazda sales I continually recommend all my friends to go Stokes Mazda for their outstanding customer service and sales interaction.

I recently tried to buy a care from Stokes Kia (yes the one with the annoying commercial) so after a referral from my neighbor, I was a little hesitant to try Stokes Mazda.Let me just say...all Stokes ARE NOT the same! Never have a I met a better group of professionals. From start to finish, they were honest, upfront, and completely open about the whole process. David Putney is the General Manager, Bernard was my salesman, and Tony was the finance guy. From start to finish, there was no anxiety or stress nor were there any "strong-armed" sales tactics. Overall, my experience at your dealership was outstanding. I would like to point out that Alan was an extremely helpful and a compassionate employee who truly cares about customer service. He went well beyond to help me and my family during my crisis the week of 21 Jun. My initial contact with your dealership was with Kent, although he too was friendly toward me and my dilema, his reassurance that I would not have any further problems after having your service mechanics work on my car were not accurate at all. I had to be retowed back to your shop for the same reason I was intially there for. This caused us tremendous stress and financially hit us hard.Another person I would like to have recognized is Anthony Lamana. Alan referred him to me and as expected from Alan, led me to another outstanding and caring employee. I worked with Anthony during the purchase of a used Dodge Caravan. Although, I was not in the market at the time, my situation forced my hand to buy a car sooner rather than later. Anthony went out of is way to help in this process and continues to do so.One other person that I need to mention is your Financing Salesman, Jessie Belemy. I left in complete confusion with regards to obtaining "my title/registration card" so I can register my car in VA where I am from. His focus was entirely on getting "his money" than what I believe he should focus on, that is the customer. The money will get there.Overall, an excellent experience.

After selling a new car we learned that ours had 450 miles on it. We did not get the test drive the car as a big screw was protruding the tire. When we did took delivery of the car after the tire ware replaced the allignment was way off. They fixed it and and after 12000 miles the tires were completely gone. The allignment was so bad that we had to get new tires. Good Year paid half ($600) they paid 3 oil changes. Than the warrenty ended as we were told the car was titled before. My wife raised hell and they reinstated the warranty. After replacing some major parts we quickly traded the car and now we are fighting to get a refund on GAP insurance from them. After many emails with Mazda USA we got some feedback and told that it takes 4 to 6 weeks to process and to mark our calender.Never again.

I've been using Stokes Mazda for over a year and a half now and this is the only place I'll take my car to in charleston besides doing the work myself. The quality of their work has always been exceptional and as far as customer service is concerned, they really go above and beyond what's required of them. Of any service department I've used for any length of time, I've had the best overall experience at this location, especially when working with either Kent or Sid. I'd recommend these guys to anyone and will continue going here for any repairs or services I need while still living in Charleston.

I had a great experience when buying my 2009 Mazda 6 and bought the extended warranty. But 4 months into purchasing the car now all these things aren't covered under my warranty. My car now has electrical problems and exhaust problems. The dealership was not very helpful in talking to me about how to resolve the issue, just that i needed to pay the money. When I pull up my warranty information that says it's covered they still fight me on it. I had wonderful service in buying the car but it's too bad that it really was just lipservice. I wish I had known more about how the dealership is after you've purchased the car.

Given poor experiences in the past dealing with car dealerships I was hesitant to check them out but thanks to a great experience a co-worker had I was encouraged to visit them. I requested financial assistance on line one evening and early the following day I received a response from the Stokes online Manager who informed me that the manager at Stokes Mazda would be more than happy to assist me and that I should stop by the dealership to decide which vehicle I was interested in. upon arrival at the dealership I was greeted by a knowledgeable salesman who was patient, and down to earth. After I selected my vehicle and took the test drive, he explained my options. Later I met the staff of professionals whom not only was able to put me in a car of my choice within hours, but saved me more than $100 (per payment)than I was paying on a previously owned vehicle.I would definitely refer friends and family members to Stokes Mazda, and if I could have bought two vehicles at one time I would.
