Thank you J. Tyler for reaching out and caring about the customers. I will give SUBURBAN SUBARU another chance. The most important reason why I purchased my car here at SUBURBAN Subaru was because of the great reviews. I have had issues before with them, but I keep coming back because they actually care about the customer unlike other Subaru dealers in the area. I definitely recommend SUBURBAN SUBARU OF VERNON CT.

We never thought we'd set foot in a Subaru dealership, but were very happy with the sales process here. It was very low pressure. We got a very good deal on a car that was recently released and still somewhat difficult to get, the Subaru Ascent. We worked with Paul in the sales department and he was very knowledgeable about the cars ( you'd be surprised, not all sales people are knowledgeable about the cars they sell), the sales process, and was quick to follow up with any questions or concerns we had. be advised, this dealership is incredibly busy, and you may have to schedule an appointment, as opposed to being able to walk in like you might be able to at some dealerships. Also it is sometimes difficult to find a parking space here because it's so busy. This was a much better experience than purchasing our GL450 at a nearby Mercedes dealership. Update 7/15/2020; after a year and a half of ownership- I have to drop the rating of the dealership. The service department, although friendly, has not been able to fix a number of fairly straightforward issues, repeatedly. No, it's not the dealership's fault the car has had multiple problems, but, sometimes two or three return visits are necessary for the same issue. Even for something as simple as an oil change, I've had my oil light go on minutes after leaving the dealership, requiring a return visit. This has happened more than once. So as far as sales goes, I would still keep the five-star rating. But the car's been in the shop at least eight times in a year and a half, and most were for follow-up visits because of issues related to the original repair, so I would have to give the service department three stars, meaning the overall rating is now a four..

Bought a battery for my 2013 Subaru Impreza before it was needed because I had a good coupon. This battery died within a week. I go there and they charge me 100 dollars to "clean" it and say nothing is wrong with it. My car sputtered a few times with the new battery but would start. Within a month my battery died again. Then again. I now need to get my car towed because I can't get it jumped because it is a defective battery coating me additional 100 dollars. Do not go here for any service on your vehicle. They are the worst mechanic I've ever been to. I had never had any problems with my car until I replaced my battery with these con artists.

Can't believe the headache I have gone through with this place. I bought a car there about almost 2 months ago and it's been xxxx since. When I first came to them I had a 2016 elantra I wanted to trade in and my credit was around the six hundreds.Somehow they convinced me that it was okay to tell my bank to come get the Hyundai and buy a Subaru impreza from them. They convinced me that I was better off because the car won't lose value and I'm getting a better car for my money.I hated the elantra so I went with it because they said it was impossible to finance the new car with trading in my elantra. It was a stupid decision. I don't know much about cars to begin with or about credit and they assured me it wouldn't be that big of a hit to my credit.Since than my score has dropped dramatically almost 200 points because after they approved me with some bank they call me a month and a half later saying they had to get another bank because the deal fell through because they lied to the bank about my income. So I went back and signed for a new contract with same terms and length but now today months later 2 and a half to be exact I'm getting all these cr3dit inquiries that they keep running from not only the second lean holder I supposedly got approved by but from a couple other places so now I am super pissed off not sure what to do because I took a big hit on my credit due to getting that Subaru and giving up my other car and I hope they don't try to take my car from me. So people I gaur warn you pleas2d don't make the same mistake I made do not go there.

Liked the idea of express oil change service. Arrived at dealership for oil change and tire rotation. Service folks were prompt and courteous and my car was taken into the service area quickly. I was told by my assigned service writer that the oil change and tire rotation would take 40 minutes. I never saw that person again. After waiting about one hour and 45 minutes I finally had enough and inquired with a second service writer about the status of my car. He said he would check and that he had heard of a problem with a car same model as the one I brought in?? I waited an additional 15 minutes and watched as the service person who said he would check my car walked by me twice attending to other customer's service needs. On his third pass I stopped him and asked for the status of my car. He said they were finishing up and that the car would be ready momentarily. I asked him what took so long for the oil change and tire rotation and he replied because the express area was full to capacity my car had been brought to their full service facility next building over. His tone was less than customer friendly. Shortly thereafter a third service person brought out the paperwork and I was then on my merry way, two hours and fifteen minutes after I had arrived. Ridiculous! Never again.

I wrote a review earlier but forgot to mention the individuals at Suburban Subaru who were really terrific to work with. Bill Kasmarzyk (sales agent), Randolfo (manager) and Rick (service) have been courteous, informative, and patient during the sales process. Bill searched a large inventory base to find the car I wanted- color and packages. He kept me informed about the timing from selection to purchase. He was straight forward and helpful explaining all the different features, starting on one side of the steering column and dashboard and moving straight across to the really FUN navigation and music screen... He followed up with a no-pressure phone call after the purchase. I feel that I can call and ask Bill or the service department about any questions I have about the car. Randolfo made the purchase process about as painless as one could. He is very nice, and like Bill, straight forward and answered all of my questions. I felt that all of my questions and concerns were important and deserved an answer. I felt that I was buying the car I wanted and that the dealership is committed to keeping my car on the road. It is easy to make appointments online AND when I call into the dealership the call is answered promptly and the call is transferred quickly to the right person. The people who greet visitors are delightful- smiling, cheerful and helpful. The Legacy is a GREAT car to drive. I am so glad I went to Suburban to purchase my 'dream car'.

Every time I visited the show room I was greeted and treated with courtesy. When I call I am put through promptly to the sales agent. I never felt pressured to 'make the deal' or to buy a car that the dealership wanted to get off of the lot. It was a very nice experience to buy a car there!

It was our 3rd purchase experience at Suburban Subaru. Each time we had Jim Sydoriak as our car salesman. He exudes professionalism and class. He is very easy to work with and treats people with respect. We personally feel confident having Jim working our "deal." No nonsense! If one is looking for a car at Suburban Subaru, ask for Jim Sydoriak as I feel that he gives great service, each and every time! One will not be disappointed. I promise!!

Suburban has a wide and deep variety of cars. After visiting two other dealers, through the good offices of Jim Sydoriak, we were able to find the color and model of our choice on the lot. Jim was courteous and informative. He expended several hours orienting us to our new vehicle and offered to be available by phone for further follow-up advice, Given the complexity of new cars, it is likely that we will avail ourselves of his generous offer. Clearly, Jim seeks to make the buying experience a pleasant one for his customers.

This is our third return to Suburban Subaru and thanks to Jim Sydoriak's professionalism and great attitude it was the best car buying experience yet. The new facility is top notch and the service department's thorough, fast, and friendly care of our first two Subies is a key reason we keep coming back.

After purchasing a 2006 Subaru Forester regrettably from another dealership who would not address a service issue on an advertised feature. I came upon your dealership from Subaru parts ct on the web and saw that your location was convenient to my home so I ordered the part I was looking for on your website. I received notice the next day that the parts was available for my pickup. When I went to the parts counter I was greeted by people who knew what I needed and were able to supply me not only with the part but with the drawings and information necessary for me to painlessly get the parts changed and functioning properly. I also ordered another part special order and again the part came join on time and with all the information I needed to perform the installation with no issues. And the parts from Suburban Subaru are over 10% less expensive that the other Subaru dealership who wouldn't help me out fixing the problem that they sold me. Thanks to Suburban Subaru parts and service personel I now know the way to the best Subaru dealer in Connecticut. Thanks guys

I just got my first lease ever yesterday for a 2016 Subaru Forester and the whole process was so easy! Jim Sydoriak was extremely helpful and really cared about making sure I got the right car and that I understood everything for it being my first time buying a car in general. I would recommend to anyone looking at dealerships in the area and point them in this direction! Suburban Subaru is amazing and everyone is so friendly and fair.

Had my 2013 outback in for service three times. Hard starting when cold. They have no idea what is wrong with it even though it is getting worse as time passes. Need to find someone else to fix it. At least they did not charge.

Our experience with Jim Sydoriak was very pleasant and easy. Jim went way out of his way to make us comfortable and not feel pressured to purchase a car. Financing was a breeze. When my wife and I are ready to purchase another vehicle we will go back to Suburban to see Jim Sydoriak.

Being the type of people who buy a car and drive it until it doesn't run anymore, buying a new car for us is a very exciting time. Jim Sydoriak and Randolfo Cabrera at Suburban Subaru made our recent new car purchase a relaxing, fun and satisfying experience. Jim took the time to listen to our concerns, answer our questions, take a lengthy test drive with us both driving, and then took special care in helping us learn the new features of the car, resolve issues with the DMV and even install the license plates for us on the new car. Randolfo took similar measures to explain the pricing, financing and warranty options to us. We truly could not have had a better experience and in the end we feel that we got a very good deal. We highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Subaru and a great buying experience.

I leased two cars from suburban Subaru... The first car was in the shop 9 times in the first year for issues... I got out early and leased a second car with them in the hopes it was a 'fluke'... The car was fine but I spent 8 months fixing the mistake the dealer made in the registration that resulted in overpayment of car taxes by more than $2000!!!! Never again suburban Subaru... Very disappointing!

I have purchased 3 Subaru's and have 4 of them serviced at Suburban Subaru. Whether it be sales or service, customer service is the best I have experienced at any dealership. I have purchased 2 cars in the past 60 days and Jim Sydoriak did a great job in working with us to secure the car we wanted and to make the sale process seamless. I will wholeheartedly recommend Suburban Subaru to everyone I know who is looking for a new or pre-owned car.

This is a review basing my experience that I had with Suburban Subaru. I have bought two cars from them in the past. I bought one Nissan and one Subaru. I had one financed and one leased. I didnt have a problem with the first vehicle. When I went and chose to purchase another vehicle promises were made and they had a hard time keeping them, however they did manage to keep their promises after a long and tedious back and forth process with them. However I was satisfied. This time is a new story. Back in February and March of 2015 I submitted a credit app on the internet and I had a vehicle in mind that I wanted to purchase. I had 2500 down for the vehicle and I was ready to go and purchase. I spoke with Jamie and he said that he was processing my application and they were going to take a look at the vehicle and tell me what it needed. Needless to say time went by and I never received a call. I had called a few times and was told they were working on it. So lets fast forward. I never left a bad review for them on that and I thought that I would give them another chance even though they hit my credit multiple times. I figured maybe it was a heads up for me to maybe repair my credit a little more. I left it at that and didnt do anything.Within the last week I have been working with Suburban Subaru in regards to a new application that I submitted. They hit my credit 2 times for a vehicle that I was interested in. They told me that I needed 1 800 dollars down. I stated that I had CLOSE to it at the time and might want to wait until February. So I was able to find a person that wanted to co sign for me.Then someone said that they would get back to us about the joint app. Well I called and spoke with a Britlyn and she gave me an attitude and basically gave me the impression that she didnt want me calling and I was bothering her. Just to let them do whatever the heck it is they do. I was like ok. I wrote emails to the President Pete and the General Manager Lane. They said they had a plan and Jamie stated that he was CONFIDENT he would make it work for me. The plan was to get something for zero down or close to it. Jamie assured me he had a plan and was confident and also the manager Lane assured me the full force of suburban Subaru was working to try and get me a loan. Now this is all considering a year or so more ago I had to voluntary surrendered both my vehicles due to hardships in my life. The finance manager and the general manager were well aware of this. Why could they not have known I would be denied for a better loan than what they originally offered me? They have been doing this for many many years My credit got hit WELL over 10 times. My credit monitoring service noticed a drop in over 75 points !!!! I am trying to rebuild credit !!! I feel like a bunch of credit reports were just run to show me that they were doing something when in reality they didnt do anything that could have helped me. All it did was hurt me and the effort of trying to repair my credit for the last year and a half. I am now in a worse credit situation and DEFINETLY cannot get a loan anywhere without a large amount of money down. The sad part is I had most of the 1800 they originally wanted down, but they were not willing to work with me and see if it couldnt be reduced the tiniest bit with the holidays so close. They claim that after hitting my credit well over 10 times and ruining my credit even more, I am still approved for a loan with 1800 down and to keep my head up and life will get better. Way to add insult to injury. I am extremely disappointed especially since they seemed so confident in being able to help me and get me into SOMETHING to drive to work so I can provide for my family before the car I am driving now dies. I am heartbroken and have lost most of my confidence since repairing my credit as much as I did after looking at the scores last night after all the hard hits. I wish this never happened. This was the worst possible gift someone could get at this time of year. Their credit being hurt bad was pretty much what I wanted for Christmas. And still no vehicle. This is NOT to bash you, But to tell you how I feel about my experience and let others know also how I feel after trusting Suburban Subaru.

This was my first new car buying experience, and after hearing all of the horror stories I was not looking forward to it. However, Suburban Subaru made the process a breeze and even enjoyable! Working with Jim Sydoriak was great! He listened to what I was looking and delivered. He tailored the test drive so we were able to see the car on all different surfaces, including highway and a very bumpy road. Jim was approachable and not condescending, which I really appreciated as a young female walking into a car dealership. It was clear that Jim and his colleagues made customer satisfaction their top priority. I would definitely recommend Suburban if you're looking for a new car!

We purchased a gorgeous blue 2016 Subaru Crosstrek from Suburban Subaru recently. Jim Sydoriak was our salesman, and a great help to us. He let us try out the three models we were interested in, and it was a great experience for us because we were able to find the perfect car! We appreciated that Jim and his cohorts were helpful and patient, because it takes time to be sure. Jim answered all our questions, and even helped us get our phones to communicate with the car we wanted. We highly recommend Suburban Subaru (and Jim!) if you are looking for a great car. Note that we really like Subaru automobiles: This is our third, all from Suburban.

I just purchased a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek from Suburban Subaru and Jim Sydoriak as salesperson. It was an overall great experience. I had no concerns as the typical single female purchasing a car. Jim was very helpful and patient. He knew about the car and answered all of my questions. He showed me around the facility, service department, and waiting areas. I would highly recommend Suburban and Jim if you are looking for a great quality car.

We just purchased a 2016 Subaru Outback from Jim Sydoriak and Suburban Subaru. The entire experience from beginning to end was effortless, and Jim's service and attention to detail was outstanding. Jim patiently waited until we were ready, got us a great price, and delivered on everything he promised, and more. If you think the Subaru is the car for you (and I think they are one of the best out there), then Jim Sydoriak and Suburban Subaru should be your salesperson and dealer. You would be hard pressed to find better.

I recently purchased a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek from Suburban Subaru and I couldn't be happier! I stopped in the dealership unannounced after a friend recommended them and I am so thankful I did. My previous car buying experiences have been horrendous and I was not looking forward to going through the process again but I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful experience I had this time around. Not only did they gain a customer for life but a spokeswoman too! I had originally intended on looking at a used Crosstrek that I had seen online but found out that it had been sold. My awesome salesman Jim Sydoriak asked if I might be interested in looking at a new 2015 and immediately I assumed it would be out of my price range but not only did Jim keep the cost within my budget, he and the team at Suburban (Isacc & Lane) hunted down the exact model, color (interior/exterior) I wanted and customized it with the specific accessories I requested. They also delivered this all 1 week earlier than promised!! I never felt pressured to make a decision I wasn't comfortable with and I truely felt that they had my best interest at heart. I highly recommend that you visit Suburban Subaru for your next vehicle purchase!! Thanks again Jim!

From our overall experience, it was Jim Sydoriak that made it such a great experience in buying our new Outback. He sold me on buying into the Subaru product, walking us through the process based on our needs and wants and delivering the product on-time and at the quoted cost. Basically, we signed the papers and Suburban managed everything from financing through the institution of our choice to setting up a date for the first oil change. It was an extremely comfortable process...

I can't say enough about my salesman, Jim Sydoriak. He is a great guy. I was introduced to him when I walked into the showroom and I must say that I was fortunate to have him as a salesman. I knew that I wanted to purchase a Subaru Outback and he helped me decide which options I would like for my new vehicle. Jim was very articulate and thorough in describing all the various options that were available to me. He never left any questions unanswered. I highly recommend seeing Jim if you are interested in purchasing a vehicle.. Thanks Jim.

I went in to purchase a car and before I took the car off the lot,I took the car to a mechanic for a point inspection. I was recommended to replace the front brakes,I took the invoice to the dealer, and their mechanic still insisted that I didn't need brakes, they even had the mechanic drive the vehicle and he stated that my brakes were GOOD! I still wasn't happy,I then had a salesmen get in vehicle to drive with me. He stated that I better go back to service and ask them ,"Why is your car still grinding?" By now I'm frustrated! I've been in the dealership for 5 hours. Finally the Business Manager OTIS M. Davis Jr AKA "The Fireman" Handled all my needs,he made sure that I didn't leave the dealership until I was 100% satisfied. Thanks again to Otis M. Davis for the great service. I recommend that if you ever stop by Suburban Subaru in Vernon,CT make sure you buy your car from Mr.Davis

I've owned many cars in my many years, but my 2016 Legacy is the first new car I've ever owned. Most of my past dealings have been with private sellers, so naturally I entered the dealership with a lot of skepticism. My salesman, John 'Woody" Woodman quickly dispelled any worries I had, and turned the usually mundane process into a personable and enjoyable experience. The Legacy was only the 2nd car I test drove (the 1st being a Ford Fusion at Ray Seraphin), and while both cars were similar in many ways, the dealerships and salesmen made all the difference. I look forward to a continued relationship with Suburban Subaru, and highly recommend them and Woody to anyone in the market.

I should have done this a long time ago but there it is. We went to purchase our first Subaru in December 2014. Thierry our salesman was friendly and knowledgeable. I will recommend you to go see him if you are looking for a car. The car purchase process was everything but peaceful and we encounter quite a few bumps on the road. The first car come in was dent after extras was put in. We then had to wait for another car that was in transit to come in which took over two months. After engaging management we can say that Isaac is the man but I would not do business with Tom. Tom was rude and condescending towards us and show multiple times that he was not interested to have our business. Where Tom lacked in customer service Isaac made it up. We finally got our car and we love it. John took the time to go through everything we needed to get started and we are happy to own our Subaru. I went for service and their staff is great. We are still recommending you to go visit Suburban Subaru to purchase your vehicle but make sure you ask for Thierry, Isaac or John.

My experience at this dealership was FANTASTIC. My sales person was amazing and somehow managed to actually make the process enjoyable. At no point did I feel pressure to buy - the sales person who helped me was the most honest and down-to-earth person. I cannot say enough great things about him. I would definitely send friends and family to this dealersh.ip

My wife and I went looking for an XV Crosstrek. We had done our research and knew what they were going for and what they were priced at. When we asked for a test drive, the salesman took us out in a vehicle that did not have a window sticker with the pricing and options broken down. Having done our research on that model, we knew that the price on the sticker should have been about $27,000 (Limited edition, with some options) . The salesman proceeded to tell us during the test drive that he and his wife bought one and loved it. When we asked basic questions, he didn't know much about it (mpg, what side the gas tank was on, etc). He then said that models like the one we were in were going for $31,000 to $32,000 out the door, but that prices were negotiable. He told us if we offered $29,000, the dealership might take it. He then talked about how our trade in might not get much and to be prepared for a low number. My wife and I left without making a purchase. A week later, we got the car we wanted from another dealership for $26,500 and it actually had more options than the one we drove. The entire sales experience at Suburban Subaru felt like dealing with a sleazy used car dealership that was trying to get us to pay way more than market value for the car. Based on this experience, my wife and I will not be setting for on that lot again for anything, service or sales.

Joey was casual (but professional) and understanding of the fact that I was doing preliminary car research/test driving that day. I appreciated the lack of pressure. Also, the follow-up emails from one of his colleagues were helpful when I decided to get a different car. (I would have considered going to that sister dealership if it had been in-state.) My only mild complaint is that the test drive was a little short, but I also didnt ask for a longer one, and Im confident he would have given it to me had I asked. Considering I had been pressured and held hostage for two hours at a dealer across the street just before, Suburban Subaru was a welcome reprieve.

I am shocked at the "customer service" I have encountered at this dealership. I've been having issues with Suburban ever since I purchased the car, especially with the service department. 3 months after purchasing this vehicle, one of my tires randomly blew out and needed to be replaced. I obviously took it back to the dealership, assuming it would be covered by the dealership/warranty, because this was completely abnormal. I had driven my 1996 Toyota Camry for over 11 years and never had this happen. I did not run anything over or hit any potholes, I was on my usual commute to work with no changes in my routine when it happened. After bringing it back to the dealership and having to come back the next day for the tire (at which time I also got the remote car starter installed), I was told it was definitely not covered by any warranty or by the dealership. They not very helpful and quite rude at several points in our conversation. At one point he and a man next to him (Bob) started snickering at me when I was inquiring why I would also be charged to mount/balance the tires ON TOP OF paying full retail for a tire on the $31,000 car I purchased from THIS DEALERSHIP 3 months ago. Not only is it unacceptable that a 3-month-old tire would need to be replaced, but it was completely unacceptable that I had to pay full retail for the replacement tire, in addition to paying for mounting/balancing and a "disposal fee" (even though we had JUST discussed that the tire was going to be shipped back to the manufacturer). To add insult to injury, the employees at this dealership are rude and mostly uninformed about their own products. I can't even tell you how many times I've had to correct them on incorrect information about the 2015 Legacy that was even on the Suburban website, and when I had questions it seemed like nobody really ever knew any answers. Furthermore, no one happened to mention to me (until AFTER it was installed, of course) that when you use the remote starter (which only works when you're close to the car), the car immediately turns back off as soon as the door is opened. If I had known this, I would definitely NOT have paid nearly $500 for it.It was also unacceptable that I was not "assigned" another contact person when my car salesman left the dealership (and also the country). He had specifically mentioned to me that when parts that I had ordered came in, he would contact me and deal with the Service department for me. I sincerely regret buying a Subaru, and I regret even more having bought it from Suburban. I don't even enjoy driving this car anymore because of the experiences I have had with this dealership. I fully intend on reporting everything I've encountered (and documented) to Subaru (corporate), the motor trade association, and the local consumer protection office. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with this dealership.

I just purchased my first Subaru and while i love the car, I am just so impressed with the salesperson I dealt with. Mike Kiczur was by far the best car salesperson I have ever dealt with in my 48 years of car buying. He was patient, thorough, informative and never once made me feel that I was asking too many questions or wasting his time......despite the fact that i went there four times. I went to other dealers and the first thing they asked was what price they needed to get to to sell me the car that day. I hadn't even decided which car i actually wanted and they wanted the bottom line to sell me one. Mike was the best..................THE BEST!!!

As soon as I got to dealership I was greeted and welcomed by professionalism all over the board. I personally dealt with Allen Nelson who made the experience that much better. His great attitude and personality made me want to get a car through him and of course he found me a perfect 2008 Impreza wrx that fit my needs. I can't thanks him and the rest of the dealership enough. I see another purchase there in the future.

WELL I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN THIS REVIEW YEARS AGO. I HAVE PURCHASED SO MANY CARS FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY FROM THEM THAT I LOST COUNT. YOU PROBABLE WOULD QUESTION THE NUMBER SO I WILL JUST LEAVE IT AT A LOT. 20 PLUS YEARS AGO I BOUGHT MY FIRST CAR FROM THEM AND I WAS SOLD ON THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY SAY THAT A REALLY GOOD COMPANY MUST HAVE AN EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP TEAM FROM THE TOP ON DOWN.OVER THE YEARS THESE FOLKS HAVE ALWAYS HAD THE BEST PERSONNEL IN EVERY DEPARTMENT. CALL IT GREAT TRAINING, CALL IT PRIDE IN OWNERSHIP, CALL IT WHAT YOU WILL BUT WHEN OTHER HARTFORD AREA DEALERSHIPS HAVE FALLEN BY THE WAYSIDE OR CHANGED OWNERSHIP OR JUST HAD TO CHANGE THEIR NAME BECAUSE OF BAD PRESS THIS DEALERSHIP HAS STAYED THE COURSE AND AND REMAINED TRUE TO ITS CUSTOMERS. NO IM NOT A REALATIVE. IM GETTING UP IN MY YEARS NOW SO I GUESS I JUST WANT TO THANK THESE FOLKS AND THE SUBARU FACTORY IN GENERAL FOR MAKING SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT AND FOR HAVING SUCH A GREAT DEALERSHIP. SO BEFORE I GET TO CARRIED AWAY AND I PROBABLY ALREADY HAVE I JUST WANT TO SEND OUT A TRULY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE FOLKS AT SUBURBAN FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF ME AND MY FAMILY FOR SO MANY YEARS.

Something has changed at Suburban. They used to be good, but my recent experience with them was the worst car buying experience ever. My family has bought 5 cars from them, but NEVER again. The service received was best summed up by one of the sales managers named Isaac. When I commented that the offer for my trade in was less than expected, he replied, "If you don't like the deal, don't buy the car. This is a popular car; we'll just sell it to someone else." Apparently we (customers) need their cars more than they need our business. Clearly they don't respect their customers, and loyalty to their dealership means nothing. The only reason they get 2 stars for customer service instead of 1 star is that the salesman I dealt with was polite and helpful.

Bought previous new car makes, wanted to down size. Subaru was not first pick because I thought it was unaffordable. To make a long story short, best treatment ever to buy a new car. Mike Ruane was just a guy who is hardworking who just happens to sell cars. The dealership remembered us when we came back to pick up the car. Yes, I bought the car 2014 Forester, great car, great salesman, and best experience . Don't go anywhere else go see Mike, a regular guy who happens to sell cars.

One of my calipers locked up, smoke was rising, the stench was terrible. I happen to be in front of Suburban Subaru when this happened. My Angels were watching over me. This was the best place for this to happen. They have mechanics to handle non Subaru's! They had me,my car froze up and was not moving. They gave me a more than fair price for the work, AND a loaner car since I live so far away! The car was done the next day, within the price stated, including tax? I am a very impressed happy driver. I know the first place I'll be looking for my next new car....Suburban Subaru of Vernon.

Doing business with Suburban Subaru in Vernon was an absolute pleasure. The salesman, Shaun Frias, was upfront, honest and direct. Jose Piedrasanta and the finance department were also exceptional. At Suburban they told me exactly was available, the price options and what would be available to me at my credit level. They didnt try any deceptive tactics and the entire time I felt like they were people I could legitimately trust. It was a transparent and honest process. I would definitely go back there again.

I last week had visited Suburban Subaru with a coupon for my oil change and tire rotation. On the coupon was a special for 47.99$ an oil change, filter change and tire rotation. Before my sesssion I referred to the coupon which special I would like. Half way through the session I was advised the tire rotation was not needed, but a new air filter was. I then referred to a lower special in which it was just a filter and oil change. Upon recieving my bill I was charged 75$ for the oil change and 35$ for the air filter. I accidentaly had blanked and not seen that the coupon was for regular oil, not synthetic. I asked why I was not advised that the coupon was not able to be used for this service to someone other than the lady that helped me. The lady over heard this conversation and immediatley got defensive and rude. Me staying calm, I expressed I thought she would have some decensy to tell me instead of paying 27.99$ for just the oil filter and oil change I would be paying 80$. She knew before she gave me the bill she had made a mistake so sent someone else over to give met he bill and took off 5$ to justify her mistake. She very rudely appologized and admitted to her mistake in the end. While I am not worried about the 50$ total difference in price I got, be aware of what is going on at all times. I am not one to get upset over much, but the inability to admit sincerely and apologize to me for this inconvenience truly shows alot. In conclusion, the person at the cashiers desk was texting the whole time and had a 2 second delay to look up when I asked her a question about where the bathroom was. Even though the actual work done has always been good, the customer service and personnel are far from professional at Suburban. The Hartford location has always been good with customer service and will be now servicing my car

Friendly, honest - just what you'd hope for. You would send your mother in and trust they would treat her well;. that is the sense you get. Their $$ are very good - I checked far and wide. Very attentive internet folks, Stephanie and Britlyn. Sales Manager too. My sales guy John Workman very nice. Worth the trip in my book. I came from Albany.

I was given the run around on a used 2006 Subaru legacy I was looking to get more information on. I was shown a dirty 2006 Legacy that the salesmen said was just traded in and they did not have time to clean or check out. When I requested a CarFax, it took 3 days of back and forth texting messages and phone calls to get the CarFax emailed to me. I was disappointed to find out from the CarFax that Suburban Subaru had the Legacy for 4 months, not the few days I was told. The CarFax also showed that dealership posted the car for sale in July of this year and the CarFax did not show that the head gasket was replace as I was told by the salesmen. I am not sure what they were trying to hide, I am shopping elsewhere. Buyer beware, if you purchase a used car I would recommend having a independent mechanic you trust check the auto out before make a final offer.

Salesman, John Woodman, went the extra mile to make sure the car was what I wanted and provided great overall customer service. I can be a demanding customer but John was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. He made sure the used car looked new when I picked it up. Loan process was simple and quick and had the best financing deal around. Car price was excellent. I'd definitely purchase from Suburban again and would refer friends to them.

I had an awesome experience with all the staff at Suburban Subaru in Vernon. Tim the sales manager was great and introduced me to my sales rep Ketsana Syharat. I walked in knowing what I wanted and by the next day they called me and we're able to get a great interest rate for the car I wanted. Jose in the Finance office was great too. They made a clerical error with the number and fixed it immediately! I can honestly say it was the best car buying experience I have ever had! I will recommend this dealership to friends and family!

From the minute we were looking for a salesman to assist us, my wife and I were greeted by an Account Executive named Ketsana. We had our eyes set on a pre-owned certified 2013 Subaru Legacy practically in showroom condition. My wife and I made it very clear that in order for us to be able to afford this vehicle that they had to give us top value for our trade-in. Ketsana was very understanding of our requirements and proceeded to make this transaction a reality. Ketsana also went out of his way to go over the newly purchased vehicle making sure we understood how to operate all the options and controls that this vehicle had to offer. From the start of this transaction to the closing process, my wife and I were very impressed with this dealership.

When I went to Suburban Subaru, I was greeted very nice at the door by Tim who set me up with Ketsana to test drive some cars. Ketsana was exactly the type of dealer I like to work with. The process was smooth and there was no pressure. I have already told friends and family to go down there to check out their inventory and work with Ketsana if they are going to buy. Overall a great experience!

I did a lot of research before deciding on a Subaru Forester. Then I researched dealerships nearby. Suburban Subaru easily shot to the top of my dealership top picks. Not only did they offer the best selection--used and new, base to limited editions, multiple colors and multiple added-options combinations--they just beat everyone else in price hands down. When I found the car I liked on their website and called about it, Katie gave a great Internet price. John Tyler was able to make our purchase more affordable and greatly simplified a complicated process. He juggled communications with me in Connecticut and my stepfather in Rhode Island so that when we came in, John had us in and out of there in no time. I appreciate how straightforward the experience was--no gimmicks, bells and whistles--just a great car and just great service.

Suburban Subaru is exceptional when it comes to customer service. From the moment we walked through the door and met our salesman Bill we knew we didn't want to go anywhere else to buy a car. Bill was outstanding, he went above and beyond for us and made the car buying process quick, painless, and not to mention he gave us an amazing deal on our new Subaru Forester!! You can tell he always works very hard for his customers. Thanks Bill, and thanks Suburban Subaru for a wonderful experience. We will be returning customers in the future!!!

I contacted this dealership through cars.com about a 2013 BRZ. They were very responsive to my request, agreed on a price over email and took my deposit on the phone. Once I got to Connecticut my salesman picked me up from my hotel and made closing the deal easy.

After researching extensively here at cars.com, I found a perfect Outback at Suburban Subaru. I'm from Cleveland, and didn't foresee any problem making the 500+ mile trip in one day. After several wrong turns and construction delays, I realized that I wasn't going to make it there before closing time on Saturday (and of course they are closed Sunday!) Nick, Jamie and the sales manager stayed an extra hour to help me get my car, which I absolutely love. Thanks guys!

Remember when you found out the government was giving billions of dollars of your tax money to privately owned companies because they screwed up and those that screwed up the business in the first place continued to make more money in a day than you'll ever see in your life? Now remember how that made you feel... so pissed off you could barely function but with the added bonus of having nothing you could do about it? Well, thats where I am now.. . . . . . .I decided to go out and get a used car. I had a slush fund of cash and thought this might be a good use for it. After some deliberation, I decided on a Subaru Baja (yeah, I know, Baja ha ha ha). Its a love-hate relationship, but it was a good compromise between function and efficiency- plus its a Subaru, which are well known for being very reliable cars. So I find one to look at, and happened to be right down the street- great! So I go take a look see. The one they had was a little high in miles for my tastes, but they were just getting a trade-in of one that looked very promising; 5-speed, turbo, very low miles. Fantastic. So they price it- and this should have tipped me off right away - it had TWO prices on the sticker right away; the WAS price and the NOW price. As I said, it just got there- there was no WAS price. thats just a crock.I looked it over with the sales-guy. Good condition. It had rails for a bed cover. I asked if the bed cover came with it, he said it did but they didn't keep them on because they have a tendency to 'walk away' at night. Also mention the bed extender also came with the car.Cool.So I took it for a ride.Drove well, but had a very noticeable shake in the steering wheel; and other than that, seemed pretty good. Later during inspection I also found the tailgate latch also stuck in the OPEN position. No biggie, right? Some time later when I decide to buy it.. . . . . .However, with my used car bargaining powers, I got them down to what I wanted to pay (with trade in). Ended up being $2k lower than their NOW price and even more off of suggested retail. In the contract was noted the shake and the latch and that they would be fixed before I drove off with it.I also mention the bed cover and bed extender. They said it didn't have a cover but they would get me a bed extender once one came in on another Baja. OK, whatever- maybe my memory wasn't so good. I still got a good deal on the car.So with papers signed, check handed over and problems fixed (they said the tires just needed some balancing.. makes sense), I drive the 2 miles home.No problem.Driving to work was a good deal looonger, about 30 miles each way... where I notice the steering wheel shaking. Grrrr. they were supposed to fix that!I checked the tailgate and sure enough it was also not fixed. Double Grrr!So I bring it back and say hey... not fixed!I bring it back in and before the end of the day they balanced the tires... again... and fixed the tailgate latch... again..... I am called to pick it up and it was fixed.Drive to work again and shake... shake... shake....grrrrr.And sure enough, the latch was still not fixed.SO I thinks- Hey, latches are pretty easy, WTF?I take it apart myself and find my hands stinking of WD40- so both times they were fixing this they just sprayed it with WD40 and called it a day? Thats some quality service there!Turns out the hinge pit was rusty and no amount of lube was going to make it go easy. So I took it apart and sanded it down. Viola! Works like new. Now, in the meantime I've gotten a call from the manager saying I owe them money.I owe them money? I had my bank write a check from my account for the amount on my invoice. I told him I'd have to check it out.I check with my bank and yes, indeed, they had written it for the wrong amount. Great. But the Subaru place didn't catch it either and wrote PAID on my invoice. Now, I can only go in on the weekends without leaving work early, so thought I'd bring the money in on Saturday. Well, before Saturday hit I get a voicemail saying that they want their money and that they were holding my registration. WHat? They mess this up and now they're threatening me? I call back.I admit I'm a little cheesed at this attitude I'm getting. Now somewhere in the conversation I must have said 'Dude' (I work at ESPN where its the 3rd word out of some people's mouths) and this guy FLIPS OUT "Did you just call me DUDE?!?!?!?" and degrades from there to where he accuses me of trying to get away with not paying for the car! that pisses me off pretty good right there. Then it turns out that they lost the title for the trade in.Yikes, this place doesn't have their stuff together! So Saturday comes and I get the bank check, and we sign papers so they can get a copy of the title. I also make an appointment to have that shake checked out again. And since they couldn't seem to find the shake themselves, I was going to take a ride with them. While there, they had a bed extender for me. I went to put it in the car and, oops, no mounting brackets! I go to the parts area and order a set of mounting brackets. $50! For a couple pieces of stamped metal...just ducky.Next appointment. .. . . . . .We go for a ride and the tech with me can pretty much immediately see the shake in the wheel and feel it in the brakes. Why couldn't they see that before? So This time instead of balancing the tires... again .... they decide its the brake rotors and machine them. Still shakey.... Machine again... still shakey. They have a machine that machines rotors while on the car to take into account any problems with the suspension (sound like duct tape and bubble gum to me) but that apparently made it WORSE. So, they machine it down to the minimum thickness and give up. They tell me they're ordering NEW rotors and will replace them. OK... great. Sounds like a good solution and its not just balancing the tires again. But more importantly, I'm not a hypochondriac. OK, done and done.... drive to work.....and yep, you guessed it.... shake shake shake. A bit different, not in the brakes, just the steering wheel, and at somewhat lower speeds. Have I mentioned Grrr?So back I go. We take a drive together, and lo and behold, the tech feels the shake too. Hmm, odd he didn't feel it when he was supposed to have test driven it after replacing the rotors.....So guess what they do. . . . . balance and rotate the tires.... gimme a break!SO its done again.... its "fixed". I drive to work. And not too surprisingly.... there's still a shake in the wheel......OY!Isn't the definition of insanity "doing the same thing and expecting different results"?This is definitely insane. Before going back, I bring it to the local tire place. After about 10 minutes with the car they came to these conclusions:1- The tires are VERY new. Like so new they thought I just bought them.2- The balancing weights are too large for the size tires on the car3- The tires have an unusual amount of 'bounce' to them. (maybe this means something to tire people.4- You could balance these tires all day and they would never be fully balanced. If there was a time to use 'FML', it would be right here. And here's why. . . . .-These people lost the tits and didn't read the check I gave them.-These people can't tell if a car has a shake in the steering or not (or don't actually check)-They do the same thing 3 times to fix the same problem.-Give me back the car 4 times as being fixed- According to CARFAX, this car has been serviced by these people its whole life-They supposedly do a 100+ point inspection for every used car they sellAll these being facts, what amount of trust should I have that this car isn't going to just fall apart or have some major repairs very soon? None really. Not by the example of the fine service they've provided me so far.I've contacted them about the most recent shaking and that I took it to a 3rd party inspector. Surprisingly they're willing to take my word for the findings and replace all 4 tires. Which makes me very suspicious. But honestly, I'd rather just have my money back, give them back their car and be done with it and them. The likeliness of this happening is very small. CT does not have a used car lemon law- only for new cars. I've called Subaru America to ask for help and they said aside of filing a complaint, there's not much they can do for me. I filed with the BBB, but they don't actually have any power to do anything. I called CT Dept. of Consumer protection for advice; nobody would talk to me. They said I had to have something in writing. OK- so I wrote 4 pages of details and faxed it in. I called to confirm the fax and they said they couldn't and that I'd be getting a letter in the MAIL confirming my case number. Case number? I don't even know if I want to file a case! I just wanted advise. To make it worse, someone might get back to me in 2-3WEEKS. Yikes... there's a model of efficiency and helpfulness.I finally got a case number. And at this point its been 3 months- I still have the problem, and my sales rep isn't even returning my phone calls.
