Overall a good experience. First time leasing, so everything was explained in detail. My responsibilities, what the car features, and what happens during a lease. Great service after the sale as well, didn't feel like they were pushing me out the door and just another sale. Free inspections, oil changes, and car washes were a huge factor in my decision making process.

I saw a car I liked on the Sun Chevy website and clicked the sidebar button asking if the car was still available late at night. The dealership called me immediately the next morning to let me know the car was still available and was able to schedule me for a test drive that afternoon. They sent an email letting me know everything I needed to bring with me and the salesperson who would help me, which was very helpful because this was my first time buying a car with a trade in on my own. After deciding to buy the car, my salesperson Bob patiently went over the finances multiple times with me so I could make sense of all the taxes, rebates and trade in values to better understand the deal they were offering. When I picked up the car, Bob had all the paperwork ready for me and went through setting up the Bluetooth and OnStar systems with me (which I would have put off doing on my own!). I liked the fact that all my interactions were with the same person and I was never pushed off onto a separate finance person after agreeing to buy.

Had brake rotors changed out, while they were changing them out they found a leaky axle seal and a bad axle. They changed out the axle under warranty and finished my brake work. My truck runs great. Overall I thought Sun Chevy was a very good experience. My sales rep, Matt Rupp was excellent and I enjoyed working with him. There was no pressure to buy and he was knowledgeable about the vehicles. He seemed willing to work to help me get the best deal that I could.The two things that kept this from being a 5 occurred on delivery day. I understand that it was the last day of the closeout sale event so there were a lot of people around but there were a couple of bumps. Despite having an appointment to pick up my car, I waited about 40 minutes before I was attended to. Matt was working with at least two (possibly 3) other customers so I waited. Eventually, a sales rep I did not know, but who was very nice came and got the paperwork started. When the car was brought up, I finally got to speak briefly to Matt but it felt rushed going through the options on my new vehicle. It took about two hours total to and most of that was waiting time. Lastly, when you buy a new/used vehicle, it would be nice to have more than a quarter tank of gas in it. It just seems like a cheap way to send you out the door after spending so much money.All of that being said, I would return to Sun Chevrolet and would recommend Matt.

you were all out of the v6 silverados that were available to lease. my salesman Troy found me a v8 silverado and had to convince sales manager to accept the offer, although the sales manager had a hard time accepting the deal, we finally agreed on a deal we were all happy with. If not for Troy working hard to get that deal ,i would have walked out the door without a vehicle, besides, it looks alot better in my driveway than in your lot.

We were greeted at the door when we entered and were helped right away. The salesperson got to know what we were looking for and presented us with a few viable options. There was no pressure and no attempts to up sell. We picked up the vehicle a few days later and it was clean and ready to go. We were shown around the facility and informed about their tremendous service options (free New York State inspections for as long as we own the vehicle is just one of them). Overall outstanding car buying experience!

Frank made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. I am in the middle of a divorce, and had just purchased one other car by myself...which turned out to be a disaster. Frank was trustworthy, patient, kind, and easy to work with. He seemed to understand my fiscal situation, and worked with me to find a car that would stay within my price range. My only complaint is that I had said I needed to stay under a payment of $250 a month, and it ended up being $316 a month. My credit is poor (I'm working on that), causing higher interest rates on the financing. I wish we had taken than into consideration before we decided on the car. So, budget will be tight, but we love the car, and will be back when my daughters are ready to purchase their own vehicles!

I filled out a pre-approval credit form with no real expectation of buying from Sun but to look into the process and see what was available. My credit is less than stellar and I had a very old car so wasn't expecting much in the way of trade in value. I was contacted the next day by a professional and non-pushy credit person who set up a meeting with a representative that day in Chittenango. Again, I went to see what there was but didn't expect to find anything that I could afford. The salesperson was friendly, non-pushy and above all else he listened to my needs. He then went to work and found a car which met my needs exactly, even down to my preference in color. He asked clarifying questions but never tried to talk me up on price or what I could afford in payments. He crafted a deal which got me from a '96 Ford with close to 200,000 miles to a 2014 Chevy Malibu under the monthly payment price I set. I went for my first meeting at Noon and at 6pm was driving into my driveway with my new car. I couldn't ask for a better experiment.

We walked into sale floor and this one guy Joe ask every nicely if he could help us , not pushing us at all , could him we where there to buy a new truck, it had just snowed, so he had to cleared the one we wanted to test drive . It was almost closing time , he had no problem with us being here that last or having to clear the truck . It was a great experience

Our buying experience was so quick and painless. I was able to negotiate all the purchase details over the phone. All the paperwork was handled in the time it took for us to drive to the dealership for our test drive. We were first presented withe the carfax history of the vehicle. Upon our decision, we waited while the vehicle was prepped and drove it home right away. They did all the registration, insurance, and onstar leg work. The only negative aspect of our experience has nothing to do with the actual dealership, but was the awkward corner of its location. It was hard to get in and out of with so much traffic there.

I made the mistake of looking for a used car without taking a man with me. Shame on me. Didn't realize at the time that having. a 750-775 credit score should have gotten me a lower interest rate than 5.9. Gee could it have been that Oneida Savings Bank was right in the same town? Wasn't warned that my Ford focus was considered a sports model that took the most expensive tires. After 3 months had to replace tires due to dryrot. Also was charged a ridiculous amount to drive the Toyota I had originally purchased after keeping it for 5 days.!!! Seat gave me a terrible bachache and cruise control was in a dangerous place on the steering column. Couldn't be set without taking your eyes off road. Worst experience I have ever had.

It seemed like quite a distance to go to lease a car, but I called anyway. I was put in touch with Keith Gillette a very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful guy.Long story short, Keith phone, emailed and texted me immediately whenever I needed more information. Sun Chevrolet also had better deals and terms than my local dealers who, oddly enough, were not as sharp and attentive as Sun Chevrolet. I finally leased a Chevy Cruze LS from Sun Chevrolet. The terms were amazing and Keith spent time showing me all the features of the car when I picked it up including OnStar. I would recommend Sun Chevrolet to everyone, even if they are not in your local area. Worth going the extra mile because they do it for you in return.

At Sun Chevy they truly care about the customer unlike other dealers where all they see is dollar signs walking through their door! When lining up a vehicle to purchase I was given a price which I brought to my credit union. Upon arrival to pick up I had additional fees added for services I was never told about prior to the purchase date nor did I request. When I asked the salesman what happened to the price we agreed upon as that is what I cleared with my bank, he insisted we didnt agree on that amount and his own bank had a much better deal for me. I wanted the vehicle very much and purchased. I have since cancelled one of the additional "pads to the price" which brought the price down $3000.00 of the $4,000.00 overage that was agreed upon in the first place! I was also upset the Salesman never even had me test drive the vehicle! I would be very cautious if dealing with them for a purchase in the future. I do love my new vehicle!

Made an Appointment with our salesman that we do business with. Told him what we wanted done. He proceeded with all the paper work in buying out our leased vehicle. Asked him if we could test drive a Malibu to see if their was any difference from driving a Cruze the last 2 years. Finally decided to lease another Cruze, a 2014 version with rear camera and automatic start. Really satisfied with the leg room in the Cruze in front and back. Lots off trunk space, A get up and go engine with Turbo. I bought a used car during their April sale in which they were trying to set a sales record. I went in on Saturday morning after doing extensive research online for a particular vehicle and specifically scheduled my test drive. When I arrived, they were much more interested in creating this crazy environment of having the radio broadcast there. It really made if difficult to park and difficult to get around. All that was fine. I drove the car and loved it, except that the ignition key would stick when you turned the car off. I told him that I was interested if they fixed the ignition. I brought my wife back that day and signed a deal pending the ignition getting fixed. The deal was to pick the car up Tuesday if the repair as made. On Monday, I texted the sales rep to see if the repair would be done by my lunch or if I should plan on Tuesday after work. I was told that they were waiting on a part and it should be done by end of day Tuesday. I get there Tuesday, and the ignition still sticks. The salesman tells me that the part never came in and they would call me that week when it did come in. On Friday, I contact to see if the part is in and he schedules an appointment for Monday AM. I get there Monday AM and the service tech has no idea what I'm there for and no part was ordered. He does some looking around and determines that the ignition was replaced but that didn't fix the problem and that he'd need a few days to get approval from GM to make some repairs. I could not have been more pleased with the service department. However, the salesman flat out lied about the repairs and the status of the repairs. Instead of just fixing the car before I got it, he allowed me to pick it up to only have to turn the car off/on 3 times every time I shut it off to get the key out. I had to drive back to Chittenango to and ride their shuttle to get a rental car for 3 days so they could make the repairs. I called the manager in frustration over the whole situation. He quite frankly could care less and it was clear that once I bought the car, they weren't really concerned about me anymore. Instead of ever returning my call, the manager had the salesperson that I was calling about contact me which he wouldn't even call and only had the nerve to text me and ask me to call. They go through all this trouble with all the PR and ads to get you in the door and once you sign the deal, they could have cared less that the sale was conditioned upon the ignition being fixed. The salesman in order to get the deal through, lied about the repairs that were or weren't done and made up more lies about parts in the mail. Would be very cautious to ever buy from them again.

I bought a used car during their April sale in which they were trying to set a sales record. I went in on Saturday morning after doing extensive research online for a particular vehicle and specifically scheduled my test drive. When I arrived, they were much more interested in creating this crazy environment of having the radio broadcast there. It really made if difficult to park and difficult to get around. All that was fine. I drove the car and loved it, except that the ignition key would stick when you turned the car off. I told him that I was interested if they fixed the ignition. I brought my wife back that day and signed a deal pending the ignition getting fixed. The deal was to pick the car up Tuesday if the repair as made. On Monday, I texted the sales rep to see if the repair would be done by my lunch or if I should plan on Tuesday after work. I was told that they were waiting on a part and it should be done by end of day Tuesday. I get there Tuesday, and the ignition still sticks. The salesman tells me that the part never came in and they would call me that week when it did come in.On Friday, I contact to see if the part is in and he schedules an appointment for Monday AM. I get there Monday AM and the service tech has no idea what I'm there for and no part was ordered. He does some looking around and determines that the ignition was replaced but that didn't fix the problem and that he'd need a few days to get approval from GM to make some repairs. I could not have been more pleased with the service department. However, the salesman flat out lied about the repairs and the status of the repairs. Instead of just fixing the car before I got it, he allowed me to pick it up to only have to turn the car off/on 3 times every time I shut it off to get the key out. I had to drive back to Chittenango to and ride their shuttle to get a rental car for 3 days so they could make the repairs. I called the manager in frustration over the whole situation. He quite frankly could care less and it was clear that once I bought the car, they weren't really concerned about me anymore. Instead of ever returning my call, the manager had the salesperson that I was calling about contact me which he wouldn't even call and only had the nerve to text me and ask me to call. I purchased a 2007 Impala from Jesse in 2008 and was very pleased. When looking at new (used) vehicles, I reviewed the webite, saw a few cars in Chittenango and went to look. Met Ken (new salesman), and he was fantastic from the start. 3 hrs later, I was putting a down payment on a 2013 Impala. i was ready to leave and my husband said you need to talk with Renee (finance), she can get you a great finance rate. Chatted with Renee and sure enough, she called me on Monday and said you're good to go with a fantastic loan rate.2 days later I was driving a 2013 Impala LTZ. I really had a great trip to sun to get car checked an rode out with a beautiful 2012 Volkswagen. from the time we enter the service center ,starting with Rick who escoutred(spelled wrong)us to the gentleman to check things over and to Jon Rose who really treated us like royalty checking every thing over and explaining each item as he went along.We have been buying our cars from Sun Chevy for the last 60 years since my husband was in high school , we get good service and great prices and Jon was a joy to have for a salesman .Thanks Jon!!

Joel Cumming s was our sales rep and gave us a good offer for our 2009 Impala trade in and a good price for the 2013 Impala that we bought. Joel stood out in the pouring rain switching plates on the cars and made certain that we had all of the information we needed to make a decision before we signed.The free car washes, birthday car detail, and other perks were also real nice to get.Yes I would go to Sun again! This was our 7th (4 for my husband & I. 3 referred in the family) car purchased at Sun Chevy. This time was to replace a vehicle that had a repair bill that was more than was owed on the loan. I found the car I liked online & called Dave. As usual Sun Chevy took good care of us & we got a great deal on a very nice car. The thing that brings us back is that when there is a issue (which is few & very far between). It is resolved quickly & very fairly. I love the fact that when I fill out the online form when I have a problem. Todd reads them all. I have seen comments that no one reads these reviews. Well when speaking to Todd today, he really does read them all. That is the sign of someone who truly cares for his customers. I understand there is good & bad experiences at every dealership. At Sun, Todd is very hands on & if you are not happy. He will make sure you are.

We never felt pressurized and he was very knowledgeable. The quality and quantity of the fleet of vehicles we had to choose from was great. On my way to another dealership to lease a new vehicle, I decided to stop in at Sun Chevrolet in Chittenango N.Y. I was greeted almost immediately as I walked in the showroom. I was soon introduced to my salesman, John Haskins.I was pleasantly surprised how stress free my experience was. It was actually fun, I kid you not! I found this dealership, and especially my salesman John, to be dedicated, hard working and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and worked hard to get me all the "perks" Chevrolet was handing out. I am certain that the Chevrolet Cruze in which I leased is a quality product and I enjoy driving it. This dealership is well managed and the sales people I met were very friendly. I felt I was being well taken care of while there. Needless to say, I never made it to the other dealership and really there was no need to go anywhere else!Thank you Sun Chevrolet!

I received a call from the dealership a couple of times, unfortunately I didn't remember the name of the person who called. When I walked in a gentleman asked who I was there to see and I explained my situation to him. He asked the salesmen who was trying to contact me and no one said it was them. He then asked who would like to help me and Jon Rose spoke up and said he would. If he is there the next time I decide to purchase my next vehicle I would definitely chose him to help me.

Was told that the best that I could get was a 9% interest rate, so I had to get my own loan at 6%. I did the salesman's job for him. Within 100 miles of driving the vehicle, the "Check Engine" light came on, so had to go back to the dealership. The salesman took it in, and within 15 minutes, brought it back and said that the computer couldn't detect anything, so sent us on our way. Within another 50 miles of driving the light came on again, and so we had to cancel a trip and take it back to the dealership which is an hour away from us. Told the salesman again that there was a problem, and that we didn't appreciate having to cancel our trip because they didn't identify the problem the first time. After trying to explain to the salesman that this light doesn't come on for no reason, and even providing him copies of computer scans from elsewhere identifying problems with sensors, he said he "couldn't trust 3rd party" scans. When again pressed for answers, the salesman developed an attitude and raised his voice at my wife. Never again will we do business with this dealership.

I had previously bought a used manual car from Sun Chevrolet in January of this year. I had a medical issue that made driving a manual car very difficult. I spoke with the salesman (Joel Cummings) who had helped me before. He stated that he thought he could help me out. In the end I bought a brand new car and traded in the manual one. I got the best trade in price I think I could get plus I get back money from the warranties I had bought. Joel drove the new car to my house for me so that I did not have to drive the manual one to trade it in. I live about 30-40 minutes from the Chittenango store. He not only brought the car to me but also explained all the new features in the Sonic (it's radio is unbelievable!). I cannot say enough about the customer service I received. If you are looking for either a new or used car - this is DEFINETLY the place to go.

Our buying experience was reasonably pleasant, given the adversarial relationship inherent in purchasing a vehicle. Chris worked to establish a relationship with my wife and I and we felt that the final deal was fair to both Sun and us.

He was very helpful in explaining how to use all the new features and was able to help me decide on my car which is a better model than the one I had originally planned on buying. Mike has sold us our last 2 cars , He works to get the car we need without the pushing and hassles. we did not feel pressured at all as we test drove different cars till my wife settled on the 2012 equinox , ( to be Honest i wanted the chevy traverse ) . Live and learn. I will never go there again. There was quite a discrepancy between how I was treated, and how my spouse was treated. Through out the experience we were passed to a couple other people. I believe simply so that they could claim they had no knowledge of the situation and blame the previous person. What a way to run a business. Dave lied to us from the get go. One lie after another, and then a couple more to cover for the previous ones. I would say he is friendly in the snake oil salesman sort of way. He tried to sell us a car, pretended to be giving us a deal on it. Then we saw their website where the very same car was listed $3000.00. At which point Dave claimed not only was it a mistake but blamed a third party and claimed the dealership was aware for 6 months of more that their prices were wrong. He then tried to back out of that statement when I asked if it was typical business to not only be aware of the false advertising but claiming that they have continued to knowledgeably do so for over 6 months. Despite what were obviously 100 red flags waving at us we purchased the vehicle (at a much better price). It continued to go downhill from there. The freshly "cleaned" car was not very clean. My kids were pulling out wrappers, crayons and even toys for under the seats. A part that was to be added before pick up was not done when we picked up the vehicle. We were promised a third party would be coming to our home to install the part within 3 days. The third day they called to give me the number of the third party. He made two appointments and did not follow through, no phone call or warning. I wasted two days waiting for this man. After several phone calls we finally set up a third appointment- at the dealership, while something else was being fixed. Yet again he failed to show, and claimed that more important work came up and it would be at least another 4-5 days before he could get to it. After speaking with a man named Bob who claimed to be management in sales at the dealership- twice, because after attempting to give me the run around some more and a promise to call me right back. He did not return my call, I called him back and after a few more heated words I was told it would be done that afternoon (now two weeks after it was suppose to be done in the first place). So I canceled plans and waited around again but at least it was done. I don't think it would be a stretch to say that most car dealerships use white lies and fabrications, but Sun Chevy in Chittenango takes the cake. I would not recommend them to to my worst enemy, let alone a friend.

I purchased 2 of the three above vehicles from her. The first I purchased from Randie B who was also very professional Far better dealer than Eagle in Riverhead who is a rip off
