Pat is the BEST service advisor ever! He is very professional, knowledgeable and service oriented. I had a question about a possible defect on a part on the taillight and he immediately tried to fix it himself. By far the easiest automobile purchase I have ever made. I’m 68 years old so I have purchased many new automobiles. Kendra made the deal right over the phone with me and when I went to Sunset to pick it up everything was ready to sign and go. On top of the smooth purchase I also got a great deal.

Well when I got there I was just looking to see what I want it had no intention of buying one that day. But the sales man walked up to me very polite. He was very polite good conversation he made me feel like part of the GM family it end up buying a brand new 2021 Malibu . And the whole time I was there he kept coming back talking to me asked me if I need any water or anything it’s very very nice man even let me drive the car to go pick up my grandson from school. I would recommend anybody for this dealership absolutely had an amazing time with these guys.ps I love my new car

The service employees were friendly. They are easy to talk to. They are helpful and patient. But my car was not repaired. I explained the problem and the "certified Buick mechanic" said he could not feel what me or my husband felt. As we drove we both told him each time the issue occurred. We left the car and was provided loaner. Within a couple of days Sunset called and said the car was repaired and ready. The car was not fixed. We returned the vehicle. When we got the car back the problem was still occurring!!!The same problem was still happening!!! We found out from a more competent certified Buick mechanic that the drive shaft and 2 axles were bad. This could have caused a FATAL accident!!! Thank goodness we were persistent about this issue and got it fixed. I would not take my car to Sunset Buick for service!!!

"Will Not Negotiate!!!!!!"Marie Fisher, sweet sweet lady but really no say in the matter, Mike Freeman, GM is who I was speaking with, tried to play with money factors & residuals on various lease deals to his advantage, Military, 800+, 39 month 2017 Buick Envision Lease Deal, then he was off for 3 days and his 2nd in command G Vizcarra refused to return my phone calls, 6 in total, multiple emails, finally got G on phone 7th call and he wanted to retract on the deal Mike had already promised me. Then Doug Black, Buick Sales Manager wanted to do the same thing, really Doug???? Hey GUYS, Edmunds.com, a Buyers Best Friend, shows exactly what you paid to put the car on your lot, all applicable rebates, sales & lease formulas, Dealer HOLDBACK!!!!!!! Then Mike really wanted to slam me on our current lease vehicle, 2016 Buick Encore, $27K MSRP, 4500 miles, clean, outstanding beautiful condition, 6 months old his lease buyout offer was $16K, when Edmunds & KBB both valued it at $20.6K, Really Mike, LOL!!!!!! Bought Elsewhere last night, very happy with deal & did the Encore Lease buyback without Killing Us!!!!!!!!!

Worse service ever!First, the one bit of good. The saleswoman Marie was great. Now the rest. Bought a brand new $48,00 2015 Sierra SLT and it started making whining noise at highway speeds within 2 weeks. I called to schedule service appointment and was told I had to wait over a week to get in. I live an hour away and told them I would have to wait on truck. When I showed up the service advisor said that I would have to leave the truck and that they should've told me that when I scheduled appointment. They told me that they didn't have a loaner vehicle available and I would have to come back in week if I needed loaner. Over 2 hours wasted for nothing! I dropped truck off next week and didn't hear anything for a week. I called and they said they were gonna replace exhaust and were waiting on parts. Another week goes by and of course they don't call, so I call them again. I'm told problem was fixed and they test drove it and noise was gone. I drive hour to pick it up and they bring up truck and it is has no gas and is filthy inside and out. You would think after 2 weeks they had time to clean up there mess. I head home and get on interstate and the whining noise is still there. I go back to dealer and they make me go on test drive to show them problem, again. We return back and they say I have to leave truck again and give me loaner back. 5 hours wasted that day! No call after a week so I call. I'm told they have to replace rear end of truck and parts wouldn't be available for 2 weeks. They then tell me they want me to return loaner and pick up my truck, then bring it back when parts arrive and leave the truck and pick up loaner then drive back again when it's "fixed". It's 2 hour round trip every time I have to go there. More time wasted. Rear end is too bad to fix that they have to replace whole thing yet it's good enough for me to drive? Of course truck is filthy when I pick up, now they have had for 3 weeks. Waiting on rear end to arrive and see if that fixes problem. Will never go back after they finally fix it Worse service ever!

I went to sunset chevrolet on 2/11/15 and purchased a 2007 toyota camery with 85k miles on it for $ 7,500 good deal huh? Well make a long story short a month latter the car started making noises so I called the sales person who sold me the car and he said bring the car in a week from now so in the middle of that time I was supposed to bring it in the car broke down so I had the car towed in. A cuple days later I still here nothing from the dealership so I shoot them a call and ask what the problem with my car ? They said the who engine need to be replaced! So because I didn't have a warranty I would have to pay the whole thing. So the gm gives me a call and says come get a rental car until your is fixed. I'm in a rental car for a month in a half and still no word on my car so when I started calling everyday that when u started seeing progress . So the day I come and pick up my car I noticed the ac was making knocking noises so the next day I call Nazar the service manager and he say that's normal and u told him it wasn't making that noise until you guys did work on it. So they set up a schedule again for the car to get looked at again and then put me in a rental car once again. So a cuple days latter I picked up my car no noise no nothing a week later the car didn't go pass 40 mph so at that moment I gave up I called santander told them to come get the car and that was it my credit got shot al the way to a 530. so be careful with these people. And now I'm in the process of looking for another car and no one wants to finance me ......... thanks guy's!

Our salesman, Chris, was excellent and not pushy at all. He gave us time and showed us a lot of respect. The sales manager, Ryan, was extremely easy to work with. When we had some issues with the car, Ryan promised us he would make them right and he did. We interfaced with Todd in service and he was very helpful. I went to try to purchase a used car on 10/17/13. Kent was excellent with his customer service, but the Finance person was kind of questionable and I had a funny feeling in the pit of stomach. I left the dealership and the Finance person comes running behind me. He tried hard to talk me into coming back and making a deal. First they were going to finance me through Capital one and my payments were higher than expected. When I told the finance person what I expected my payments to be, he stated that I was purchasing the wrong car. To make a long story short. Today, 10/21/2013, I drove into Bradenton and received a better deal on a Honda Civic. While there, I found out the finance person/banks at Sunset accessed my credit report nine times. I do not know what they he or the banks were thinking, but if you cannot finance a customer, please let them know right away. Due to the way my credit was mistreated, I would not go there again . A persons credit does not need to be accessed nine times. Sunset should have another finance person.

Buyer beware! Customer service is severely lacking at this dealership. Dont expect them to go above and beyond for you. From sales to finance to management, its a juggling circus. Especially if your in the market for a CPO vehicle. DONT BUY . Make sure you ask for all your pictures up front. In fact dont even do business at this ship. If you get to deal with John DAVIS, turn around and go somewhere else. I promise you, i drove over 300 miles and my tahoe wasnt even detailed. Spent 30k and I didnt even get a clean car. If you go tell them you heard this from A HYBRID tahoe owner. They will offer you 4 to 6 k less than what they can sell your car for.

I had a problem with an oil pan leak. They said that they do not fix seepage from the oil pan gasket. I had purchase a GMPP extended warranty for just this type of issue, which can be costly because some issues, such a rear main seals can take many hours to repair. I took the issue up with Chevrolet Customer Service. The dealership has since contacted me and said they would work with me on the issues with my car and my warranty. I am reserving judgement. I will not recommend them until and unless I am satisfied with the outcome.

i tried to work with this dealership twice because i love chevys and ended up woking with the same salesman who was horrible. they call you once and never follow up on NOTHING NOTHING do you get my point ,. the finance manager mike was very condensending i would ask for a manager to talk with and all they did was put me off nothing ever got resolved

Ruth was very friendly and helpful during the process. The only thing that I didn't like was that I was not told that the new car had over 5,000 miles before me signing the sell papers. I believe that they should had disclose that to me early in the selling process.

BAD MECHANIC AT THIS DEALERSHIP, Sunset chevrolet ,Bay Rd ,Sarasota fl.(in for clack noise at shifting manual trans)while in for repair CAUSED more damage to truck, mechanic left bolt out of bellhousing, clutch hose cable laying on hot exhaust,broke/he cracked bellhousing,installed seal incorrectly causing trans input shaft seal leak,mis diagnoised leak and put in oil pan ,installed pan wrong and that leaked,cut harness above transmission and only taped wires together causing engine lights to come on,while putting in oil pan cracked timing cover, all had to be repaired at another dealer Bill Bucks in Venice FL in shops over 35 days,just purchased 21,000 mile truck .
