They have the best service at this location. I would recommend all my family and friends to this location. See Malik for sales and see Jeff for the service center. Awesome!!! Jeff in the service center made sure my vehicle was taken care of and it was at no cost due to manufacture issue. Jeff is awesome and if you go to any Ford dealership it should be the Westport location. Page and Lindbergh because they make a way for you no matter what. I Love These Guys here!!!

The 1st plus was the availability to make an appointment with a feasible time frame. No knock to other Ford Dealerships Service departments, but anything over a week out you should be recommending other Ford locations. Who has 3 weeks to wait to fix an issue. Anyway Ford actually gave me a Complete Check on a used Ford I purchased. I actually had a free option to have that dealers Service Shop to do that BUT, I wanted an actual unbiased but knowledgeable check up. Also my Ford service rep discounted my cost. To the point I used that saved money and purchased new floor mats! That non-Ford dealership couldn’t give me an actual Service time and date either. It was a “drop it off all day and maybe will finish is 45 min or maybe 7 hours.” They literally said that. Not Suntrup. They did what they said they would do. The texted appointment reminders are great and the “Your vehicle is ready.” text are awesome too. Clean waiting room and bathrooms.

My usual preference is to not go to dealerships for maintenance/repairs but when I had a car issue a few weeks ago it was really my only option. This was probably my best experience at a dealership, it took awhile but that is happening everywhere right now. Robert was great at communicating! And one they could actually get to my car it was quickly fixed. Dealerships still aren't my first choice but if I need to use one suntrup will definitely be my first choice

I would highly recommend this service team to anybody who's needing service to their vehicles. Thoroughly informed me about what services were performed and if any recalls were needed for my vehicle. Told I'd get approved and that they would get me the deal. Sent me home with the vehicle to wait on "system" to load only to get a call a couple hours later stating I needed a co-signer. Was told it wasn't my credit score but was the fact that I don't have much credit on my credit report. I was humiliated and let down. Felt as though I was played. Awful.

Tina set up an appointment with Heather, I immediately felt like a friend she was not at all trying to lead me to what she wanted me to buy and worked real hard( texting and calling ) to get me exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted. Was thinking I was getting a good deal on a truck ford honestly didn't know anything about the vehicle falsely advertised a 6cd changer and a clean bill of health certified whatever they say oh that's what happens with used cars but a 3500 dollar engine problem not even two day from purchase the check engine light cam on I proceeded to bring my truck back four times the fourth time Bob Stapleton said it was my fault no they won't give me a loaner and that I should drive for 10 days then bring it back weirdly enough it passed safety and emission that day they sent my truck to Suntrup GM where it's been sitting since no word from the warranty they have lied to me to get a sale the 6cd changer is actually a single disc that doesn't even work thanks for selling me someone else's problem and saying it's my fault the dealership is trash I will never come back and I advise you to go to a different dealership even Breckinridge motors on the rock road sells better used cars and truck and they aren't even certified. And to crystal the e commerce director for ford needs to side with the person that's having the issue and not take sides with the sales manager who has no idea what he's exactly selling that's my lovely experience thus far

The most unprofessional staff I've encountered, especially David Evans. They add Ford incentives into trade-in values and then lie to customers by telling them no incentives are currently available to appear like they are getting a good trade-in. They don't care about the large commitment customers are making at the time and Suntrup's customers service is awful. Ford needs to look into this dealership because they give the great brand a horrible name!

I was in the market for a new 2015 F150, in either a Super Crew Cab or a Super Cab. I searched nearly 25 dealers before I ended up browsing Suntrup Ford Westport's website. Their pricing simply could not be matched by any other dealer in the state (I'm looking at you, in particular, Machens). I emailed about a specific truck and was immediately contacted by Bob Stapleton. He provided me with the requested information and we eventually hashed out a deal on a new '15 and a trade-in for my old truck. 2 days later I showed up to finalize the deal and he was waiting for me as soon as I got there. The truck was ready for me to test drive and there were no games or hidden fees waiting for me like most dealers. Michael Jackson in financing was truly exceptional and had our paperwork completed and ready to go very quickly. Bob was the best salesman I've ever dealt with, Michael took great care of us in finance, and the whole dealership experience was the best my wife and I have experienced to date. As soon as we are in the market for another Ford we will be headed back.

I'll keep this short and to the point after having just typed a lengthy review that went way too far into an explanation of why I was satisfied with this dealership, my salesman and the financing experience. I showed up on a Friday to test drive two (2) vehicles that I was considering. He basically handed me the keys and told me he'd see me back when I was done. I drove them and told my salesman, Bob Stapleton, that I was going to look at other vehicles from other manufacturers. He encouraged me to do so with very little pressure or coercing. I came back the very next day, Saturday, to attempt working a deal for one of the two cars I had driven a day earlier. I was less than confident due to the 'other' dealership the day earlier pressuring me to buy from them because 'their' cars were more reliable than Fords. They also offered me a very low amount for my trade-in. Therefore, when I came back that Saturday to work a deal with Bob and Suntrup Ford Westport I wasn't going in with much confidence. They exceeded my expectations and with very little hardball negotiating gave me the deal I wanted on their car AND on my trade-in. I was very satisfied with Bob, who had a very kind, friendly, easy-going personality. I was also very happy with the interaction I had with Michael Jackson. I was in and out of financing in almost no time flat and Mr. Jackson was a really nice guy. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience. I was there for about an hour test-driving cars on Friday and was in and out the door with my new car on Saturday in about two hours or less. It was easily TOP 3 in car dealership experiences I have had while purchasing a car in my entire life and I've bought a total of 17 cars from other manufacturers/dealerships prior to visiting Suntrup Ford Westport that Friday morning.

I bought a used SUV and with 3 weeks i had trouble starting it 3 times. Called my salesman and he said no problem bring it in for service and he would take care of it. Well take care of it meant I would have to pay half of the cost of repair. Seriously 3 weeks of having the car. I have to pay half of the repair... This was a problem before I bought the SUV and was overlooked by there service department. Still have temp tags and I have to pay... By the way they had my SUV for almost a week 6 days. Call and leave message for managers and no return calls.... I do not recommend this dealer at all.... Stir clear away and if I would have research before hand I would not have purchased from them. Missouri AG has a lawsuit against this company! Sales people lie and tell you anything to close the deal........

I walked around looking at used cars and Brian Jackson walked up and told me that he would put me in a new car for what I wanted to spend. Fifteen minutes later he found just the right car and had it delivered to his dealership within a day or two. He had the car prepped and handed me off to Bob Stapleton who took in my trade and finished up the paperwork. Finally I met Michael Jackson the finance guru and he finished the paperwork and made sure everything was copacetic. In my humble opinion, I had never met such a straight shooter in his role as Finance Director. I shook Mike's hand and met Bob once again who handed me the keys, explained the vehicle and off I went. My wife and I went to Suntrup Westport. It was refreshing not to get bombarded with salespeople like seagulls on bread crumbs the second we stepped out of our car. We were interested in the 2015 Mustangs. I saw one on line in a particular color I was interested in. However, in person, the color wasn't exactly as I expected. We walked around for a few minutes, focused our attention on a couple of other colors. At this point a salesperson helping another customer asked if anyone has helped us yet. We said no and he quickly found someone to attend to us. Chuck Johnson came right out introduced himself to me and my wife. We told him what we were interested in and he went to work pointing out the different features of the Mustangs they had in their inventory. I told him I like the 8 cylinder model for the power but didn't like the fuel mileage. He suggested the 4 cylinder with the turbo charge. We test drove it and I mashed the gas a couple of times. The 4 cylinder WILL push you back in the seat as it takes off. We went inside to crunch numbers. We were offered a cold beverage as we sat down to talk. Chuck was very helpful, not intimidating, not slick talking. He seemed very down to earth. We just wanted to buy a car we liked and he just wanted to sell us the car we wanted. The deal was made, the new car was purchased and he was all too pleased to point out the different features of our new car. He was willing to sync my cell phone up with the car...that may be the only negative point of our experience. He asked if I had my phone on me, I gave it to him and he looked at it, looked at me, giggled, opened the door, and announced " He has a flip phone." In conclusion, we had a great time. Chuck was funny, smart, helpful and down to earth. Thank you.

This was the first new car I've bought in 12 years and I was a bit nervous about a long negotiation process. However, Chuck Johnson was great to work with. I showed up unannounced (a habit of mine) and JD from the start was welcoming and humorous. I was test driving my desired car in under 6 minutes and the deal was sealed in no time. JD has a great sense of humor and didn't make me feel pressured. But then again I am two feet taller than him. Who can intimidate me? :PGreat service and good overall experience working with Suntrup Ford in Westport. The only tragic experience I had was when I noticed the lobby's couches look like they're from 1976. But then again I hear vintage is trendy.

Well it was a pretty easy buy, as they had a great inventory to choose from. I was not pressured and right from test drives to the signing of the papers(Michael Jackson very informative) it was a very easy and pleasured ride. Then the surprise came (at least for Bob Stapleton) when my girlfriend drove me to pick up my car ended up leaving her car at the dealership and drove home a new CMAX Hybrid. She is very happy so far with everything about the car also. Bob was great to work with and I think we made his day.

I wasted my Wednesday night at another dealership listening to them tell me how they were doing everything they could to get me the best price they could that was nowhere near the best price. After 4 hours I left with the intention of not even going anywhere else to try and buy a new truck. I made an appointment at Suntrup just to see if they would be willing to work with me. I walked in still thinking I was wasting my time there like I did the night before. I told Bob very frankly how I was treated at the other Ford dealer and how if we couldn't get to the price I wanted to pay then I was just wasting his and my time. He told me he could and give him the chance. I got the price I wanted, Michael got me the financing terms that not only worked for me but kept my wife from making me sleep in the back of my new F150. I couldn't be happier with these guys. I just hope both of them are there when it's time to buy my next vehicle. I will only recommend and shop at Suntrup since this is what the car buying experience should be like.

This was my first venture into buying a car and I could not have been more terrified. I'd grown up with everyone I know telling me the horrors of car buying from a dealer."They're out to get every last cent.""They'll pile on fees right at the very end.""Their job is to pressure you into buying."Things like that were the 'only' idea of dealers I had going into this. I had been informed to get pre-approved by my bank before going in so that took a good amount of pressure off.So I did some shopping online and found a 2012 Ford Focus. I knew it was a good car because my family has had Focus's for years, my brother's actually being a 2012. So sent a request for a test drive and in about 10 minutes I get a call to schedule a test drive with Bob Stapleton.I cannot explain how easy Bob made this entire process. There was no pressure to buy, not even slightly. On the test drive, he was quiet unless he was asked a question, so there went my fear of the pressure during the test drive I'd been told about. When we got back, he let me lead the conversation. I started by asking what the out-the-door price would be. In a few minutes he told me (it actually came out about $50 less from the sticker price)... AND IT STAYED THIS PRICE THE ENTIRE TIME. Strike out the sneaky added fee rumors I'd heard. I liked the car, I LOVED the dealership, so I decided to buy, The rest of the process was paperwork and checking to see if they could get me any cheaper rates. No pressure at all. None of the horror stories about dealers even came close to coming true with Bob.Bob made this the easiest experience ever. I think it took maybe 3 hours from walking in to driving away in my new car. If you're worried about the horror stories of dealers and the pressure they put on you like I was, go to Suntrup Ford in Westport. You can believe me when I say the next time I buy a car, it will be from Suntrup and I'm hoping Bob Stapleton is still around.

"Sold" me a car after giving me an estimate on my trade in that they hadn't even seen. Once I had already driven the car off the lot and brought the trade in at a later time, they decided they had overestimated the value of the trade and wanted to back out of the deal, after I had already left once again. They refuse to work out this problem that they caused, only speaking in threatening tones to me demanding I return the car that I have already put a couple hundred miles on. Absolutely terrible.

I purchased my brand new 2014 Ford F-150 from Suntrup Ford Westport. Bob Stapleton was my sales person and he was extremely helpful. The night I went to look at the truck, it was very cold, but Bob took the time to show me two different trucks to find the one I liked. After we test drove the truck, we went inside and started seeing what we could do to put a deal together. Bob was able to get me more for my trade-in than what I likely could have gotten selling it outright. We were able to meet on a price to get the deal done. After I met with the finance group and completed all the paperwork, Bob stayed well past his shift ended to make sure the truck was washed, filled up, switched the plates over, and showed me how to connect to Sync. Overall it was exceptional experience, and I feel I got a best deal possible.

After searching the internet for some time, I stumbled across Suntrup Ford Westport. Looking at their inventory I noticed they had a larger selection than most. I made a drive out on a Saturday to go shopping. Pulling into the parking lot I noticed a large selection of vehicles in all sorts of colors. Not 2 minutes after walking in the lot I was greeted friendly by Chuck. Most of the time I dont like to be bothered when browsing but I was in the market and I actually wanted to speak with someone about purchasing a vehicle. Having browsed a few lots chuck was the only one to greet me or even ask if I needed anything. This meant alot because this shows he was not judgemental. I want to bring attention to this amazing dealership I had the pleasure of visiting last week. I originally started looking for a new car and kind of knew what I wanted. After a brief conversation with Bob Stapleton through email where I checked out the dealership online, I was setup with a time and place to meet with Richard on the following day (since Bob was off). I met with Richard McCabe and we discussed what I was looking for. He didn't try to pressure me into something I didn't want but he was real with me and explained the different packages of the Ford Fusion I was looking at. Richard handled himself very well. After some discussion and pricing I found what I had wanted at a good price after trade-in (on my Grand Prix). After stopping by on my lunch break, Richard had nearly gotten me all taken care of on a new car aside from the paperwork. The next day I came and met with Bob who wasn't just professional, but also friendly and very easy to approach and work with. After getting the paperwork handled, I met with Michael Jackson who not only possesses good taste in watches, but a very professional yet friendly demeanor. Each and every one of these gentlemen at the dealership not only made my visits to the dealership a great, friendly, good experience, but also something I will remember. I want to bring attention to this amazing dealership I had the pleasure of visiting last week. I originally started looking for a new car and kind of knew what I wanted. After a brief conversation with Bob Stapleton through email where I checked out the dealership online, I was setup with a time and place to meet with Richard on the following day (since Bob was off). I met with Richard McCabe and we discussed what I was looking for. He didn't try to pressure me into something I didn't want but he was real with me and explained the different packages of the Ford Fusion I was looking at. Richard handled himself very well. After some discussion and pricing I found what I had wanted at a good price after trade-in (on my Grand Prix). After stopping by on my lunch break, Richard had nearly gotten me all taken care of on a new car aside from the paperwork. The next day I came and met with Bob who wasn't just professional, but also friendly and very easy to approach and work with. After getting the paperwork handled, I met with Michael Jackson who not only possesses good taste in watches, but a very professional yet friendly demeanor. Each and every one of these gentlemen at the dealership not only made my visits to the dealership a great, friendly, good experience, but also something I will remember. Stay away from this place ... seriously. Bought a used car 2/7/2015 and was given the "autocheck" history that stated no prior accidents, well-maintained, and a score of 91/100. I thought this was great and was (in hindsight) hustled into buying the car. Over the weekend I was looking through the glovebox to read the manual and noticed the previous owner's service statements. The car had actually been in an accident and had $1000+ in damages repaired AND was reported to State Farm insurance. I brought this up to my salesman, Mike Kearns, today and he said, "it wasn't on our history" and WALKED away without explanation. He seriously does not even act like he cares about you - in the slightest - after he gets his cut on the sale. While closing the sale I overheard other employees talking and heard them say "xxxx" several times while telling stories. Real professional and classy at Suntrup Ford West!Also just noticed a previous reviewer mentioned how he (Mike Kearns) was xxxxxx towards her and I can confirm that he is (at least) a total sleaze. They also threw away my license plate frames and put on their dealer frames and gave me the car with the gas tank on empty with windshield wipers that are way past their prime. I'm going to have my car inspected by my go-to mechanic this weekend because I can only imagine how 'great' their service department was in going over this vehicle. Save yourself a headache and buy from someone else. I'm not even going to sponsor a different dealer because -literally- any other one is better than this place.Purchased a Jetta. Michael Jackson was a nice person!

I went to quite a few dealerships in my recent vehicle search. I looked at small SUVs at Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, and Ford. I also contacted 4 different Ford dealers to ask about Escapes in their inventory and visited 3. Out of ALL of those dealerships and ALL of those brands, Suntrup Westport was the only one that managed the basics. When I made an appointment, my salesman, Bob, was waiting for me with the car I wanted to drive parked in front. Within 10 minutes we were on the road; none of this waiting 20 minutes just to find the car. When I said my husband would want to see the car before I purchased it, Bob gladly offered to let me take it home overnight. He even helped me get my car seat installed. When I came back the next day ready to do the deal, his fist offer was incredibly fair. In fact, if I compared it to other Escapes being offered, it was significantly below comparable vehicles. Knowing I had a good offer in front of me, I really didn't push the issue. They did throw me a bone though, and I appreciate the gesture. In total, I spent about 2.5 hours at the dealership between the two days. That included the initial test drive, moving all my stuff to the car for the overnight, and the actual purchase including a credit application. I could never have imagined the whole process going so smoothly.As a person, Bob is friendly and welcoming. He also really knew his stuff about the car. I do lots of research and I admit to asking questions I already know the answer to in order to find out who I'm dealing with. Bob answered them all clearly and concisely and knew more about the car than I did. That's exactly what SHOULD happen when you go to the dealer. Michael in finance was also incredibly friendly. He answered my questions accurately and clearly and, knowing there were parts of the contract I had clarified before we even printed them, make a special point to show me that what he had said was also in writing.If I were to give one piece of constructive criticism, it would be in regards to online pricing. The online prices do reflect all possible rebates. With that in mind, go in knowing that you will probably not qualify for all of them. This may not be the most ethical practice, but the online listings do state this very clearly, so I understood the situation as I came in. My guess is that there are other shoppers who don't pay as close attention and are surprised when they realize the change.Walking in to Suntrup Westport, I had a bit of a chip on my shoulder regarding the service I had received elsewhere. Walking out I feel confident that I got the best deal possible. I was treated respectfully as was my time. I'm happy to say I can continue to be a loyal Ford customer and I will gladly recommend this dealership along with Bob and Michael to anyone who asks. Keep up the great work!

I initially went to this dealership looking to test drive a new Fiesta ST. I was approached by Larry Persons, and hit the jackpot working with him. I test drove the exact car I was looking for (down to the color and options), but didn't act quickly enough to get it. Larry found me a new car within 3 weeks, which was phenomenal considering how rare these cars really are. What truly made my buying experience so great was Larry's fantastic attitude. He was polite, knowledgeable and straight to the point, no sales pitch nonsense, not to mention how personable he is. I received a trade in offer in the mail, and since I did indeed own a 2012 Ford truck with over 60,000 miles on it (already), decided to come in and check it out. The dealership was easy to find and made quite an impression as I drove up. Even before I got to the door I was met by Mr Malik Adams and ended up driving home that same day in a 2014 Ford truck which I am absolutely loving. While buying the car was a tolerable experience, when I went to pay sales tax on the 2014 Mustang, I was not able to as there was a failed emissions test. Seems like a simple enough fix, I brought it to the dealership where it failed again. They had me bring the car and leave it on a Friday so they would work on it. Had to put up a fight to get a loaner car. They did not fix the car by the end of the day on Friday (temp tags expired on Monday). They have been sitting on the car for 12 days now. There were issues with them swapping out the loaner for one that had ZERO gas in it and a flat tire. There has been no one taking ownership of this problem aside from Mike in service. Everyone else I have dealt with has made this entire experience a complete nightmare. Plus as part of the agreement when I bought the car, they were to put stripes on it. The appointment was for Wednesday of last week (a day when they had the car). They have not put the stripes on and have no idea when those will be installed with no explanation as to what happened. It's as if no one at this dealership has ever worked in customer service.

We purchased a used vehicle for our daughter. The car came with a three month warranty. After approximately one month, the digital odometer went out. We scheduled an appointment with the service department to have it fixed. Then they try to say that the warranty does not cover the odometer and want to charge us $900 to make the repair. I then called my salesman, who stated that it should be covered because it's electrical, but he will check and call me back. Needless to say I never got a return call. Disgusted, we picked up the car as we were not going to pay $900 to have an odometer fixed. Then they try to charge us over $100 because they ran a diagnostic on it. After much discussion, at least they waived that. This company does not stand behind their used car warranties, and we will never deal with them again. Good job Suntrup Ford, I hope that you not honoring your warranty is worth all the negative comments that we are going to leave about your company!!

This was my first time buying a car and my mom came with me. After doing our research on cars, we came to Suntrup Ford knowing the car we wanted to see. Once Larry gave us a test drive, we were relaxed and knew he would "take care of us". I was able to buy my car and the fact that Larry was honest and "real" with us made our time joyful and exciting. From the initial email to the closing of the deal it was a great experience. Still shocked by the great deal I got. Will definitely be going back to purchase another Ford. Saw a 2014 Focus listed on their site, the price listed was noted that it included "all applicable Ford discounts" with the normal Ford discount info listed (nothing about special military/student discounts). After I arrived at the dealer and test drove the vehicle, Jason told me that the price they listed was if I was eligible for both the military and student discount from Ford (which I know Ford will NOT give both, only one). The price they offered me was $1000 more than listed on their site. I gave him a number I would be comfortable paying, he took it to the manager and said they couldn't do it. We left, went to another dealer, and got the same car for the correct price without any haggling or frustration.Jason called me back on Monday and said his manager "had reconsidered" and that they could meet my price. I told them it was too late and they had lost a good customer.Beware dealing with Suntrup, they seem to follow the old model of "bait and switch".

Met by Jason who turned me over to Cindy as I was interested in a used vehicle. The process was very 'clean'; I took the vehicle for a test drive, then Cindy retrieved my information, they made an appraisal of my trade in, and then finance called us. The video finance. The only thing I didn't care for was there was no negotiation or anyone to negotiate with. When finance went over the pricing, they offered me four different financial modules, when I told finance where I wanted to be they advised this is all that they could offer of the four and that I was top heavy in my trade in. I ended up purchasing the vehicle, I really wanted it, I think we are always top heavy in our trade in unless it is completely paid off - and then of course they don't give us anything for it. I hope this will not be a financial struggle until I can refinanced, which they advised me I could do in 6 - 8 months. Ended up with extended warranty as well. Again, The dealership was great - just not bowled over with the financing options or opportunity.

I traveled from the southwest side of Chicago to purchase my 2013 Mustang and I was very happy I did. The closing of the deal with a person on video conference was quite different but I guess that's what technology today is like. It was the only impersonal part of the purchase experience. Our intention of visiting Suntrup Ford was to purchase a vehicle. We found this such vehicle online which even before seeing, was an 85% chance we were going to purchase it. We were in contact with Cindy, which should have been an indicator of how our experience would be considering that it was extremely difficult getting in contact with her or for her to return our phone calls in a timely manner. We explained to her that we would be at the dealership the following Saturday morning to view the vehicle in person and to take it for a drive. We also explained that we had two children, ages 2 and 4 so we wanted to make sure the process would move along quickly. At the advisement of Cindy, we filled out an online credit application to make sure we were eligible for financing, which we did. According to her, this would expedite the process the day we arrived to view and possibly purchase the vehicle. We were then called back by Cindy, verifying they had received the application and that they would be able to come close to the payment we were attempting to target.Fast forward to that Saturday and my family, including my wife and kids show up to the dealership at 11 A.M. in the pouring down rain. Expecting the vehicle to be waiting for us to view, which it wasn't, we go inside the dealership, introduce ourselves to Cindy and are seated at a table in the lobby. At this point, we were the only customers at the dealership. In fact, we didn't see another customer until almost two hours later. Cindy acknowledged our small children and assured us that this entire process would take absolutely no time. The vehicle wasn't made available for us to view and or drive until at least 40 to 45 minutes after we arrived. Fast forward 3 hours later during which time we watched the rest of the sales staff, who we now know based on the website included Dan Gibbons, goof around and play games with each other while we sat at the same table with absolutely no idea what was going on. We weren't getting any communication from Cindy who was inside the secret double window watch tower in the corner of the lobby where Mr.Unprofessional David Evans was seated, eating Fazoli's. She indicated that he apparently was having trouble with some hi tech equipment, a color printer, and that it would be in the next 10 minutes before things would wrap up. After a couple of times of Cindy promising things were being taken care of and also letting her know that our children were tired, hungry and begging to go home, we decided enough was enough. We approached the watch tower where Cindy was seated and let her know we were leaving. We requested the keys which she then replied that her manager had possession of them and there was nothing she could do. A few minutes later Mr. Evans storms up the stairs in the tower, obviously irritated and acting extremely unfriendly, and sits down at his computer. He said absolutely nothing, not even acknowledging we were standing there. I finally had to ask if he was the person holding the keys to my vehicle. At that point, Mr. Evans flung whatever small notepad and pen down on his keyboard, tossing papers out of his way trying to find my keys. At this point, I'm finding it absolutely shocking the level of unprofessionalism and rude behavior being exhibited by this so called manager. He found my key and again, without saying a word, handed it over. I asked him if that was it which he replied that the ball was in my court, whatever that was supposed to mean. He then began saying that he had placed an order for four new tires for the vehicle and that because it was Saturday, that was delaying whatever financing options he was working on. This was all with an annoyed attitude as if I was a complete waste of his time and that we were a nuassance. I stayed professional as adults do and explained that unfortunately, we needed to leave but he could contact us either the following week or we could work on a deal after the holidays. Upon leaving, we expressed our disappointment to Cindy in the way we were treated by Mr. Evans and that we were second guessing purchasing the vehicle after his shocking behavior. On a two and a half hour drive home, we decided to call Cindy back and let her know that we still wanted the vehicle, but did not feel comfortable nor did we want to have to work with Mr. Evans again. She understood and explained that wouldn't be a problem.She would be in touch next week or when she had additional news about the vehicle. About an hour following that conversation, we received a call from Cindy who explained the Mr. Evans was no longer willing to work with us in regards to our trade value, in other words saying that he no longer wanted to do business with us. Not even after his tantrum did he have the slightest bit of professionalism and call us personally. Although we were disappointed, it was almost a relief not having to deal with this dealership again after our horrible experience. My wife and I during our lifetime have purchased over 10 vehicles with numerous different dealerships and have never, ever experienced this level of rude behavior directed at a paying customer, especially a customer who sat in a dealership for three hours with two small children with little to no communication.I also work in sales and couldn't imagine running my business with an employee such as Mr. Evans in a managerial position. The severe lack of customer service, professionalism and common courtesy at Suntrup Ford is mind-boggling. My wife and I will be buying a new vehicle in the next month and not only will it not be from Suntrup Ford, but we will never consider this dealership again. We will also be advising our family and friends who live in the St. Louis region to not purchase a vehicle from them either.

My wife and I recently went shopping for a certified pre-owned car after our car was stolen. After intense internet research we felt confident with the make and model of car we wanted to purchase and proceeded to look at a ford fusion and Suntrup Ford. When we got there we had about a 10 minute wait to get help (waiting became the theme of this car purchase). We were hoping to meet with Cindy (who I had emailed back and forth prior to going), but she was unavailable and so we were shown cars by Malik. Malik was a nice and friendly car salesman, however, it did not seem like he was very knowledgable about the car we were looking at, but this was ok since we had done plenty of research prior to our shopping. After test driving the car we felt comfortable that it was time to purchase. We sat and negotiated with Malik, which went fine and again he was very friendly, and were able to get the cost down some as well as get free ford certification. So up to this point I would say that our visit was acceptable. However, after we had decided on a price the wheels came off. We had been pre-approved for an auto loan, but Malik thought they could get us a better deal. Having gone through this process at other dealerships I figured it would only take a few minutes to sort out and so we agreed to let them try and get a better loan for us. After an hour+ of waiting on an empty stomach Malik comes back and says the finance guy could not find anything near as good. I am glad that we wasted so much time sitting in that office that night (it felt mainly like it was the end of the day/month and they were ready to go home). We made arrangements to drop the car off thursday for the certification process and to finish off the paper work and went home. The next day we get a call from Malik asking if we can bring the car in friday instead of thursday for certification. We had already rearranged our schedule to fit in a thursday morning appointment, but really wanted the security of the certification so agreed to bring it in first thing friday morning (830am) so that we can make a 10am appointment we had that day. Friday morning we had a further 30 minute wait as Malik is late to our appointment. As we were rushed to get to our appointment, we were unable to finish paperwork that morning. Friday afternoon we got a call that our car will not be finished with inspections until monday, further adding to the many delays we experienced in this process. Finally on Monday we went to collect our car, and to our surprise we had to meet with Cindy instead of Malik (Cindy was also quite friendly). Unfortunately I don't think Cindy was fully aware of what we needed to sign and this greatly added to our confusion. We did finally get everything done, but it was a long drawn out process that saw us sit and stare at the wall a this dealership way to long. One more thing to add is that the car is supposed to be returned with a full tank of gas after the certification process and the dealership failed to do that, but we were so tired of waiting around we decided to let it slide. In summary, we came into the dealership knowing what car we wanted and got the price we wanted. So they had to do no working in convincing us of a car, and proceeded to make us wait and waste time for the rest of the experience. We would be highly unlikely to buy from this dealership again.

There was a dent in the new vehicle I was buying. We agreed that it would be fix so that it was like new. They put touch up paint on it! Unbelievable. Very poor saleswoman - promised a lot and never delivered.

My daughter lives about 60 miles out of town, and was looking for a Ford Fusion. Options for the car she wanted was not available in her area. So I told her I would try and find one here in the St Louis. I found a car on Suntrup Westport web site and called Billy Putnam. Billy was great. Billy brought the car to me (across town). From that point on he worked with my daughter via phone and text, until she could get to Suntrup today and pickup her Fusion. Billy Answered every call and replied to every text. This was the absolute best experience I have ever had regarding purchasing a new vehicle. I told Dave Evans exactly how much I had to spend on a vehicle, told him what I was hoping to get for that price, and he immediately began showing me vehicles and assured me the price would not exceed my price. The vehicles were far beyond what I expected to be able to purchase and were not a penny over my price. There was absolutely no attempt to get me to spend more. I did not have to spend even one minute on negotiating a price. I stated my price, was shown several vehicles in a matter of minutes, and was able to choose one immediately. Unbelievable! Dave then had Billy Putnam handle the sale. Billy wrote up the contract and did everything he could to accomodate us, make us comfortable, and get us through the process smoothly and efficienty. When we moved on to financing with Michael Jackson it was swift and easy too.This was by far the best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. We were interested in purchasing a Nissan Xterra (2012), so our online searching led us to Suntrup Ford Westport--where one was listed with extremely low miles. Our hopes were to gain information from the dealer in order to buy (cash in hand) that day. Here is what happened: 1. Spoke to Richard with questions around 9 a.m. 2. Richard stated he would call back in a few minutes 3. Nearly 2 hours later, we call back for information about the vehicle--because Richard did not call back "in a few minutes," as his contact (with our answers) was supposedly in a meeting 4. He apologizes to us and states that he will call us back around 12:30 with our information. 5. We decide to drive up to St. Louis (about 2.5 hours away) to look at the vehicle ourselves, as we were getting nowhere on the phone. 6. Richard never did call back. 7. We arrive at the dealership . . . Richard informs us that the car has sold and that he is sorry he didn't call us. Even if one assumes that Richard could've been busy, he should've handed off his prospective dealings with us to another available sales rep. With technology as it is and phones fairly easy to use--this behavior from a sales rep is very difficult to understand. In addition, why would Suntrup advertise on the Internet without adhering to some kind of professional protocol that would be fair to all consumers: live or virtual.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Cindy Wilson (salesperson) and Michael Jackson (Finance Director) when we purchased our C-Max hybrid. They were both extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Cindy was particularly helpful in our decision making about what car to get, and both she and Michael were great in assisting with the financial processes involved with buying a new car. My fiance and I were looking for a used Mercury Milan or Ford Fusion but was unlucky in the search to find one in our price range. We were looking to return to the dealer in which we had bought our previous two cars but after a rather unpleasant phone conversation with one of the sales reps, we decided to look elsewhere. After a internet search I found a used Fusion in our price rate at Suntrup so I called the number that was listed online and it led us to a rockstar of a salesman, Billy Putman. Billy treated us with the utmost respect and really made us feel at ease with the entire process. The financing was taking a bit longer than expected but Billy made sure we were comfy and relaxed and what really stood out to me was when we got a bit hungry and didnt have any change for the vending machine, he payed for our snacks out of his own pocket just so we wouldnt have to go to the store and get change for a twenty. After the financing was done he sent us over to Mike Jackson to discuss the terms and he was really cool to deal with as well. Due to Mike "Beating up the banks" we ended up with a brand new 2013 with a very low interest rate. We really enjoyed our experience at Suntrup today and will forever be a customer and will recommend every one i know who may be in the market for a new car to definitely give Billy a call, he'll take care of you!

I visited this Ford dealership tonight after doing extensive research on the new Fusion. I was still a bit undecided between the regular gas and hybrid model and wanted specific pricing information on each so I could make an informed decision. My intent was to make a purchase if all the numbers made sense. At first the sales person was friendly and helpful during a short test drive. She mentioned she had recently started working there. When we went back inside, she began to be very aggressive. She acted as if I was wasting her time (although there wasn't another customer in site) and was argumentative. She kept insisting that I sign that I intended to buy a vehicle, otherwise she wouldn't give me further information. When I refused to sign that I would buy the car, she refused to have anyone give me a trade in value on my car. After I was fed up with her aggressive and disrespectful behavior, I got up to leave. She asked if I'd like to speak with the manager, which I took her up on. Her introduction of me to the manager consisted of "I tried with her, but now she's all pissed off at me and wants to talk to you." The manager tried to be helpful and apologized. He offered to work with me instead and gave me a trade in value. At this point, I couldn't stomach working further with this dealership. I plan to make a purchase very soon - but with another Ford dealer. I was so very disappointed with this experience. No one should be treated this way and it's not the way to sell anything. I've been a manager for years and would be very upset if one of my staff ever spoke to a customer that way.

Talked to billy on phone and in person and when I got to the dealership I knew it was and uphill battle but low and behold in three hours, usually with other dealerships 1 to 2 days with nothing, Michael Jackson put the thriller in my loan and got me approved at a much lower int rate than I was paying. These two are a great combo and a great pleasure do biz with two hard workers who don't mind putting forth above average effort to build a great business relationship...they have my future business...they understood my delimna and fixed it to put me in a much better car....this dealership has a couple of great team members...will def send any biz their way.

Poor service, poor financing and deceitfulness is all I can say about this dealership. The car I got on Friday was great wasn't exactly cleaned out very well but ok. I took in on Friday and had to come back to prove income on Monday. I did include my promotion on the credit app thinking that I would be fine however I wasn't they wanted to know what I made now and that wasn't good enough for their financing dept. Long story short I had to return my car that day and take back my trade in...but right after I went to Dave Sinclair and got just what I wanted without hesitation and from the same credit union that Suntrup said I couldn't get one from!!!! DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE I AM WARNING YOU!!! GO TO DAVE SINCLAIR!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!

Overall my experience with Suntrup Ford West Port was good. Communication with Tony Skalnican was good. He responded to the questions I had and was able to find the kind of vehicle that I was interested in. We sat down to discuss the details and I was upfront with him that if a deal couldnt be made I was fine with that as I still liked my current vehicle and could just walk away but with the current incentives that FORD had it was worth a try as they may offset some of the cost of what I owed on the trade in. We talked numbers and they drove the vehicle I was going to trade in and they assessed a value for it. I would have liked to see it a bit higher but it did have high mileage for the year it was. We talked numbers again and got the price and payment to where I wanted it and felt comfortable with. Now off to talk with the finance person.Then we sat for two hours waiting for finance with a few promises that they were working on it and we were next. I finally said that we needed to come back tomorrow as we needed to get home for the evening. Was told they were having some trouble finding finance with no money down but they would continue to try. I was given the potential new car to drive home that evening.The next day the finance person was out of the office so they would call the next day for sure. The next day the call did come in that they found finance and could I come in to sign the forms. Once I was back at the dealer it went pretty quick and I signed the papers. They were able to find financing at an excellent rate and I put some money down as well. I will note that I live in Illinois and asked that the sales tax be rolled in and I knew the appropriate sales tax rate however when sent the papers and payment to pay for the taxes and transfer plates the sales tax was figured wrong and was $165 dollars BELOW what the check was to that the dealership figured. So Illinois buyers beware or know how the dealer should figure the tax. I would have thought that a dealer who receives customers from Illinois would know how to properly figure the sales tax and provide the right amount.Didnt get the FORD extended warranty through this dealership as you can get one MUCH cheaper if you do a little searching on the web and looking in a few FORD forums for suggestions and names of other dealers. They may tell you that it is not the same but it is. Also check with your insurance company on GAP coverage some insurance companies offer the coverage at a MUCH cheaper rate as well.So overall a good experience but it could have been better with just plain old good customer service. Doing the little things to show the customer who just spent a large amount of money with your dealership that you value them and you want them to remember so they come back and purchase again. For instance after signing all the documents to purchase the new car provide an envelope to put the papers in for the customer. Why should the customer have to fold them up and try to make sure they dont lose anything on the way to their new car?Have the sales person go over the features and functions of your new car with you. Such as:pairing your phone to SYNC if availableshowing how to use the keyless lock if availablewhere things are in the car emergency flashers, hidden compartments, headlights, radio, wipers, fold down the seats, adjust the headrests, adjust the seats, things like that.talking about the maintenance of the car how often on oil changes where to find this information etc.Having the sales person write a short note thanking the customer you for the purchase or calling a few weeks after having the car just to check in and make sure things are going well. Showing the customer what accessories are available and providing a discount if bought within the first month of ownership.While this may seem like a waste of time to some buyers it shows that the salesman is there for the long haul and you can turn to them if you have questions and not feel like once the papers are signed you arent important to them anymore since the deal is made. A customer may be very familiar with FORD products and able to read and learn on their own but doing that little extra in customer service can perhaps make or break the customer returning in the future.Just my two cents!

We stopped in to look at the new 2013 Ford Explorer. The entire experience was top notch from start to finish. Starting with the actually vehicle, the Ford is fantastic. We never thought we'd ever buy a Ford. Next the dealership, very pleasant experience. There was no pressure - period. And that alone was nice. We worked with Cindy Wilson and Michael Jackson (awesome name by the way :), and they were both fantastic thoughout the entire purchasing process. Thank you for such a great car buying experience. I had a superb new car shopping experience at Suntrup Westport recently. This is the second new Focus I've purchased from this dealership. I ordered a 2007 at the end of '06 and was quite happy with it until this Spring when it was heavily hail damaged and I was faced with an estimated nine-day repair. I figured that I would instead invest the insurance and vehicle in a new Focus and start the good experience all over again. So I went back to Suntrup with exactly what I wanted already in mind... and knowing that the end of model year production might be scarce to order what I pictured. Cindy was both cordial and friendly, and determined to find what I wanted as we laid out my options. Dave Evans worked very hard in his search for me and Cindy kept my name project in the forefront until one was found. I was impressed with their efforts and result. Michael Jackson handled my accounting seamlessly and made financing an event with no anxiety. I commend these folks and the dealership that I'll most likely come back to for my next new one. Thanks

I recommend Suntrup, they are a pleasure to work with. The people are friendly and if there is any concern no matter how small, they take it seriously and try to resolve it. I found this out after the sale when I had a little trouble reaching Michael/Cindy, they immediately responded and answered my questions. Thank you Michael & Cindy and to the other coworkers at Suntrup Ford!! I will return if/when the time comes to purchase another vehicle!

i knew i was gonna have issues getting what i needed for my trade. and getting the financials to go through, but i tried anyways. sales and fincance were always up front about everything. they came as far as they could for my trade and was more than i was offered else where.my financing was actually really great signed one deal and had another come back with better rates. ended up with a great new 2012 mustang gt/cs. the atmosphere and environment was very clean and friendly. when i need another new car purchase i will return. everything was quick and easy was in and out in two and a half hours on a saturday. defiently my best car buying experience yet.

Michael Jackson was great he went through all of the paperwork for the financing and made it a quick process. After being called,repeatedly, to come in and speak with a "manager" regarding trading in our '09 Flex, we set an appointment. We arrived at the scheduled time - 9 a.m. - and no one seemed to have any knowledge about what was going on. Bad start.Richard "greeted" us, and after hearing our reason, assured us he was "your man for the sale." We browsed a while, and finally agreed to look at a Taurus, but requested one with the eco boost system. Richard was going to "bring a couple up for you" but he didn't. Instead, we walked out to the lot, looked at a few of the vehicles. We pointed out that none of them had the eco boost. Richard told us he had not found one, yet. We drove one, anyhow. Nice ride. Returned from the test drive. Richard wanted to have the numbers worked up on our Flex. We had already expressed that we were not interested in trading in the Flex, but he kept pushing. We asked for a few moments, at which he suggested a crew cab truck. We again told him we were not trading the Flex, and my husband walked away. Richard and I exchanged a few words, and I joined my husband. We found a used Taurus, which had a large sign stating "$22,990" on it. Tires were bad on the back. We asked to drive it anyhow. The engine "pulled and hesitated" when we accelerated, and Richard's explanation: It is cold.When we returned, we made an offer of $19,000, said we would be willing to go to $20,000, and wanted new tires on the back.Richard took to offer to the business manager, and returned a while later with a counter offer of $22,696. Suddenly, the "price" had gone up to $25,990, lowered to the stated number on the car, added the administrative fee, did not mention the tires, and gave us the offer.We explained that we were insulted at the offer, and did not appreciate the "switch" in prices, to which Richard explained that "that is a $34,000 car!". My husband pointed to the brand-new Taurus on the showroom floor, and said, "No, THAT is a $34,000 car - that one out THERE is a $22,000 car! We have had enough. Have a good day. You just lost a sale."We left, went to lunch, and found an ad for Bommarito Ford. The ad listed a '12 Taurus for $21,777....and I paid $22,000+/- for it, and drove it home, later that afternoon.We were ASKED to come to the dealership. We were SUPPOSED to have met with a sales MANAGER, not a SALESMAN. NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT, IN SPITE OF REPEATED, INSISTENT CALLS BEGGING US TO COME IN. What is up with that?????????No, we will NOT purchase any future Fords from Suntrup. I am willing to drive the extra 15 minutes to Bommarito.Debbie Taylor

My salesperson was very good to work with. He wasn't pushy at all. I presented to him the price I would pay for the car I was interested in and he went to Jeanie Suntrup for approval. He got the thumbs up. I had to squabble on what I should receive for my trade-in but we agreed I would get what KBB said it was worth. That should be a regular practice in my eyes. That's why I rated overall experience a 4. The finance manager was top notch also, found me a great interest rate via on-line.One thing I would like to mention for the Suntrup website. Have available on your site the window sticker on each new car on your lot. Other dealers do that and that is very helpful. One click of the mouse shows you exactly what options (if any) is on the car/truck. I haven't utilized the service dept. because it's hard to schedule anything do to my work schedule.

HE was more than friendly. His negotiation tactics were fair and polite. When we finally agreed to the pricing the car was cleaned and ready when he said it would be. I have over 18 cars and trucks in the last 6 years (mostly Ford) and the cars are never ready when they say they will be. Either gas or washing pr paperwork???? So yes I was impressed. This is the first time i have used this dealership and now we will be using it for all our repairs and i look forward to this service being continued. When i was about to leave the parking lot he hailed me down and made sure my cell phone synced wiht the car. THat was great!!!

We purchased a 2010 black Ford Escape Hybrid on Jan. 5, 2011. It was really great to work with both Terry Weir and Michael Jackson. They are very knowledgeable and both have a calm demeanor when interacting with clients. We appreciated their attentiveness throughout our visits.We unfortunately felt that our interaction with Rich was not as positive. I also would have preferred to get a car tutorial indoors instead of out in the cold. In past car-buying experiences, the new vehicle was brought inside the service center area when learning about its features and asking questions. I feel this presented a more comfortable atmosphere. I also think that each potential buyer should be reminded, prior to the day of buying, that the sales tax on the vehicle needs to be added to the final payment. It shouldn't be assumed that just because it is not discussed, the client knows all of the financial legalities.

I have purchased 2 cars from the Suntrup pontiac when they were still in existance. I decided to make a change and I went on a hunt for Michael Jackson, because he was the sales person that sold me my cars at the other dealership. I was so glad to find him, and it was at another Suntrup, but this time it's a Ford! I love the car, I trust his judgement, I made a call and told him what I wanted. He pulled up several vehicles found me the car, sent me a copy of it, I came in on my lunch break worked everything out in that hour and drove off the lot with a new Ford Fusion, 2011. Now thats superior service! When I got back to work I told several people I purchased a car on my lunch break, now one would believe me, until they went outside and saw it. I love the quality of the car and it's perfect! It's a beautiful car, color and all! I sent my sister-n-law to him, and she purchased one too!!!!!!!!!!! I would suggest this dealership to anyone, looking for good service and honest people that care about what you want and not trying to just make a buck! I purchased a new 2010 ford F250. The price was fair and the salesman was friendly. I noticed on the truck that the tailgate, was rubbing the right side of the body, when it was opened. I had Bryan Eikmann of the service dept. look at the problem. He did and ordered the new bushings. He had me drop the truck off once they had the bushings in hand. I dropped the truck off and waited nine days. I decided to call and see what was taking so long. Their claim was that the body shop had noticed a fault within the paint below the rear bumper line and needed more time to fix this. I made a trip to their kirkwood body shop on the evening of day ten. The truck was outside and their job was completed. I called early noon on the eleventh day. I spoke with Jean suntrup about the problem with the new truck. I explained the fault that I had with the truck and I did not understand how something so small could take so long to repair. She was very nice and said she would look in to the problem. She called me back and explained to me that everybody on her team had a reason. Jean called me back at 4:30 that evening to let me know that I could pick up my truck. I arrived at the Westport Dealership. Jean Suntrup greated me at the door and was very pleasant. She explained that she had just had a porter take the truck and fill up the fuel tank. I was feeling a little better and thanked her. Once the truck was back we looked the truck over and I thought all was good. I drove home and opened the tailgate several times. To my disbelief I noticed that the tailgate was rubbing on the right side of the body, AGAIN! I decided to do the repair myself.
