Purchased a 2016 Rav 4. Chuck McIntyre was our sales person and it was the best experience I believe I have ever had in making a purchase. Chuck had everything ready we arrived at the dealership. It was an easy process. We had already researched the prices on the Rav so we had a price in mind and what we wanted for a monthly payment. When we talked to Chuck on the phone he really listened to us! Then he called us and quoted us a price and a payment we were very happy with. I would definitely recommend Chuck and this dealership to all of my friends. Also Mary Thompson in Finance was very pleasant. She explained all of the paperwork in a knowledgeable manner. There was several additional options that we could purchase for the Rav and Mary explained these, but at no time did we feel pressured to purchase any. Most of all we are very happy with our experience!

It is sad when you call to ask a question and a service professional cannot help you. Everything is schedule an appointment. If you have Toyota experts they should be able to at least let you ask a question it might be something they can tell you to do without having to miss work.

This was my first experience with this dealership and it was wonderful. No one there was ever pushy towards me and that I greatly appreciate! The first time I stopped by i just wanted to look at the selection of vans. I hoped no one would come out and start selling me anything and they didn't! But when I was ready to talk to someone i just walked in and became informed not sold on the van. My salesman was very informative about the vehicle I was looking at. When I was ready to talk #'s they were still wonderful and I felt no pressure to buy. I finished my experience with finance and again she worked to make the numbers the best possible payment for me. All this was very close to their close time which I didn't realize until it was to late and they never said anything about it. I will definitely tell everyone about my experience and that they should go to this dealership if looking for a new car.

I bought this truck from a local dealer to help support the economy. While I understood that they were moving across the street the week-end after I bought the truck, I assured them to take there time getting it clean and getting in ready. I still had a car and was just wanting things done right. It took two times to get the truck cleaned (over a week) in a way that mud was not covering the bottom, the engine was clean the the inside was detailed. The detail manager thought I was picky. After a couple of days, I called due to a shimmy in the transmission while shifting in overdrive, that was handled well. Although, I am not sure tires have too much to do with a shimmy at one speed, but not at higher speeds. While waiting over a month, I started to wonder why I did not have a title or the registration for the truck. We pay document fees now, so I was expecting both within a month. Well I called on the title and that is really up to the state timelines, so I am waiting for up to 60 days for that. I called again and talked to the business department and asked about the registration for the car. Another wait due to mistake as to where the payoff was made from the previous owner. I am not sure why the consumer has to pay for documents that are within Swopes control to treat those documents as not important. I was told, I would just have to wait cause they made a mistake. It is in the details for me, and I am very apprehensive now about the care they took to do the mechanical checks on the truck I bought. Espeically given, the lack of concern about cleaning it and getting documents done efficienty and done right. Please think twice about this dealership, they have very poor customer service, they do not work as thought they care or that your experience matters.

The General Manager Kathy made us feel at home and the Finance Manager was pressure free as can be. Swope Toyota service department stands behind their work. I had maintenance done on my car a week before I given it to a family member to use, unfortunately the following week another service issue came up, but the car was outside of Elizabethtown. My family member had no choice but to take the car to the nearest Toyota dealer. The problem was the out of town dealer did not return my phone calls to clarify the situation and the frustrating part; I was two states away. I immediately contacted the service department at Swope Toyota in Elizabethtown, I tried my best to communicate to them what I knew. The employee I spoke with said no problem what's the number I will give them a call to see how we can resolve the situation. Happy to say it was resolved in a proficient and professional manner. I have so much respect for Swope Toyota standing behind putting the customer first. I've never received that type of customer service before, they didn't have to step in but I'm sure glad that they did! Your employer went above and beyond to help me and my family, I will never forget that! He served as a liaison between both dealers and took charge of the situation and built up my confidence that my car will always be maintained by the best SWOPE TOYOTA in Elizabethtown!

How you like some one threw your driver side's floor mat to the passenger's side..upside-down and twisted? And you have to find this out after your service is completed and paid for, that is also when you are ready to drive your car away outside the service center. Then you also find this rude note tells you that basically your floor mat is not a good one (hint: shop mats from them??). I mean, how many times I have my car serviced by Swope Toyota in Etown with the same set of mats? Why this time; why not the first time I had my service there? What part of the "service" is this??? I spent more money there and thought would receive a better service there for my car. But I'm now pretty disappointed, by their attitude.

Looked on line found 2014.5 Camry I wanted at a price lower than other dealers which were 75 miles closer to me. Bought as a gift and surprise for my son and family. Called they had the car with a big red bow on it sitting outside showroom doors, I must admit it is the first time I have bought a vehicle and never turned on the ignition or drove it or had to haggle on a price. What a great experience....Jeremy (such a nice young man and a cutie as well)!!! Mary in business office was very quick on correcting a difference in pricing for me to my satisfaction. Beautiful dealership and facilities. My son and daughter n law was VERY happy, my grandsons were happy, I was happy, Jeremy was happy, Mary was happy, heck it was one big happy family and day!!!! I plan on buying a Rav4 in next couple months and I am sure they will be able to make me happy again. Reviews are very important....so do your homework before you go anywhere else. There is a Toyota dealership in Louisville on Shelbyville Rd that you want to stay away from (won't even mention their name)!!!!!! THANKS SWOPE TOYOTA on Dixie in Etown....I drove a little further but got a lot more :)

Since the spring of 2013, my boyfriend and I have purchased 3 new Toyota's. The staff is very knowledge about each vehicle and will go to any length to ensure you are completely satisfied with your new purchase. When we return to have our vehicles serviced, we tend to spend an additional 30 minutes or more just conversing with staff who are now our friends. My husband and I went to look at two vehicles I found on their site. After we were told that both vehicles were out on loans, one gentleman tried to get me into a same year model with 96k miles (the other 2 vehicles were same year, less than 50k miles). We had the same gentleman look over my car to see what we could get on a trade. We were offered a rather low insulting figure. After my husband spoke with this gentleman, my husband discovered that the incorrect miles were used (they used 94k, my car has 73k) and not all of the options my car has was inputted into their system - they basically put my car at it's base model. We were absolutely insulted and walked out.

The dealer had a nice certified Toyota Sienna advertised at a good price. Since we were about 2 1/2 hours drive from there, I wanted to work out most of the details of the deal and trade ahead of time so I knew what we were getting into. After some intial confusion on the value of the trade-in, the matter was quickly taken care of and we were able to purchase the vehicle. The salesman, and all of the staff there very very nice people to deal with. I would definitely recommend looking into this dealer if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle.

Stopped to look at a car and discussed trading in my vehicle. We did not even get close to a price that was acceptable, which is ok, but the salesman and lady who discussed my offer were somewhat rude and pompous. My family has bought 3 vehicles there in last 4 years which totaled around $50,000 I have spent there, but we will be taking our buisness elsewhere. I am totally fine with them not negotiating to my price, but there attitude was not acceptable.

Outstanding customer service by all. I was on my way to Florida and passing thru KY when I noticed my transmission gauge was running hot. I arrived prior to the service area opening and waited for them to open. Upon opening they figured out the problem right away and I was back on the road in less than 45 minutes. Amazing customer service, they were courteous and well qualified experts in their respective field.

Marshall Weaver stayed late on his day off to help me test drive two different vehicles. On top of this it was a very icy and snowy day and I had my 2 and 4 year old children with me. This required a great deal of patience and kindness from him which I was so impressed by. He was helpful and positive as we wrestled to get the car seats in an out of both vehicles and really asked a lot of helpful questions to help us think about our best option for our family! This really stood out as remarkable because other dealers have acted annoyed and impatient when my children were in tow and as I'm sure many customers will be shopping with their children along, this was a valuable part of our shopping experience.Marshall was able to answer all of our questions about the off-brand (Honda and Volvo) used vehicles we were considering as well as providing very helpful information about similar Toyota vehicles also available to consider.We worked with him off and on for over a month and he always politely checked in and provided updates without being overly persistent.He is a true professional and very knowledgeable and helpful. He really seems to go above and beyond with sincerity and not rushing you at all. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and for sure refer them to Marshall.

I purchased a 2012 Impala recently. This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. No pressure and no dishonest salespeople. Even though we were buying a used car from another manufacturer, we were, nevertheless, treated no differently than if we were buying the most expensive Toyota on the lot. Tracy, Keith, Mary, and Becky were all a pleasure to deal with. Herman Smith was our salesperson and he was the best. Very professional. We will be back.

I found my 2005 Tacoma online using Car Gurus. The Tacoma was part of the inventory at Swope Toyota dealership. The ad online was awesome, because Swope must have a photo showroom that is used especially for the online vehicles. The pictures in the ad were amazing and very high quality. Swope Toyota is not a local dealership for me. I actually drove over 4 hours to look at a used Tacoma that the dealership had in its inventory. So the high quality pictures were very helpful to me in knowing the condition of the truck before I drove the long distance to the dealership. When we arrived, the staff at Swope were very helpful and polite! Chuck McIntyre let me test drive the truck that I was interested in. Chuck was super nice, and he was very knowledgable about Tacomas in general. Once I decided I wanted to buy the truck, the buying process was wonderful. The financial team at Swope was very nice, and the process was very efficient. There were no hidden fees, and I was driving the truck in less than half an hour. I would definitely recommend the team at Swope Toyota for purchasing a used Toyota vehicle!

Becky and Mary answered all my questions and got everything ready for me so when I arrived, it was a seamless process. Chuck was great when I arrived on the lot. I never felt pressured and I truly felt they wanted me to have the vehicle I wanted and they wanted me to be happy! We recently bought a 2013 Toyota Camry and had the very best experience! We owned a Camry, loved it and wanted to update to a new model. Mike Parrish treated us with professionalism and friendliness, in fact we were given the royal treatment...he was there to meet our requests. Mary Thompson was just great also - very professional and friendly. Both Mike and Mary were so knowledgeable and excited to be working with us. Mike went above and beyond...since my Husband is disabled while we were completing the finance portion of the sale he transferred our belongings from our tradein car to our 2013 and it was ready for us to drive away! Most of my experience with Swope was with thier internet sales person , Becky Matthews, who was very accomidating. I appreciated her pleasant demeanour and prompt response to my questions. The buying transaction ( financing, etc.) was very fluid and expedient thanks to Mary Thompson, who also was pleasant to work with. I certainly will be checking with Swope in the future on my next automoble purchase even though I live "480" miles away! It was definately worth the trip!

When purchasing my Prius all sales personnel were wonderful! Greg Brown is the greatest! Hes genuine and dedicated to customer satisfaction not only during the sale, but also since. He has made certain all problems with my Prius have been taken care of even when Service isn't willing to do so. This is my problem with Swope Toyota. It seems to be a hassle to have warranty items taken care of. The woman that sells the extended warranty will tell you, as she told me, it would cover "everything". When asked specifically, again, it was "EVERYTHING". For almost $2000 it should be expected only to find when the actual paperwork arrives at your home after the sale, it covers mostly nothing and when the issue is forced it is always a hassle. Greg has really worked to make things right. The rear window deicer wouldn't work, hassle. The clear-coat paint flaked off (which was repaired by Swopes own shop 2 mos before my purchase!)wasn't covered because I wasn't the owner at the time of repair! Outragious! Greg stepped in and had it repaired! My last experience,recently and still ongoing,was a leaking front windshield. Think my "everything" warranty would cover this? HASSLE! Got it "repaired" along with 2 recall issues. My Prius was returned to me with a caustic film on windshield, tilted steering wheel from the recall repair and the next morning I experienced "screaming" from under the hood to find fluid running out of the motor compartment. This also attriubted to recall service. This will mean getting it to a local dealership (30Miles) for inspection and then back to Swope's (70miles) for yet another repair. Oh have I mentioned, I have only owned my Prius less than a year. Yay me. Will I go again to Swopes? Not after all this mess is straightened out! and DON'T buy any extended warranties from them..............not worth the paper or this ongoing HASSLE!

I bought my first car from Swope Toyota in Elizabeth town ... They were absolutely wonderful!! I found a 2011 Nissan Altima at the dealership using cars.com within my price and mileage range. I spoke to Gary Allen at 615pm on Election Day (when most places are closed). He took the time to go outside and tell me about the car and had the keys waiting for me at 10am the next morning!! I was so impressed and will definitely make the almost two hour drive back to Swope Toyota!!

First I would like to say that I give the overall rating 5 stars! The experience was nothing less than remarkable. This is the second vehicle I have bought from the Swope Family in ETOWN and I must say they treat you like a king. Mile Thomas is an honest down to earth salesman that wants to make sure that you are in total agreement with what you buy and will not lie to you. No more driving around to dealerships. I used the net to determine which vechicle I wanted, then contacted (or tried to) multiple dealers. Most didn't respond, some were lackadaisical but only Swope Toyota was prompt and informative. Becky Matthews, their internet co-ordinator, answered each question promptly. When I visited, Chuck McIntyre assisted Becky, politely and without pressure. They had to find the silver Sienna I wanted (had just sold the only one in stock) but that only took a day. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat, even though they are about 35 miles from my house.

We were interested in the 2012 Yaris LE we ended up purchasing because of all the great features it has as well as being a beautiful car. Jim Lackey was our sales person and he did a wonderful job pointing this out to us. It drives like a dream and personally I especially love the steering ease and the feature where you can raise the drivers seat (I'm short!). We were also very pleased with the credit obtained on our trade in as well as the overall price of the Yaris. We were treated like royalty by EVERYONE in the dealership, a very pleasant and efficient experience. We also had some extras done to the car afterward and we're very impressed with the service and detailing departments also. It was a pleasure doing business with Swope Toyota and I look forward to visiting again come service time.

I just told them what i was looking for my price range and they made is happen.... It was fast i didnt spend all day and find out after that i couldnt get a car/truck..... I recently bought a 2011 Toyota Venza. Mike Parrish made it so easy, I'd buy another one if I had some place to park it. I simply told him what I wanted and all the extra I wanted on it and he found it for me. I had a great experience this past Saturday buying a vehicle. In fact, it started even before Saturday. I contacted them about a vehicle I saw on the internet and was very seriously interested in. Greg was amazing to work with. He helped me right from the start. He was upfront and I didn't feel like I was being played or tricked. We drove almost 2 hours to get there, but it was definitely worth it. The price of the vehicle was actually below Kelly Blue Book Value AND they continued to work with us on our trade in to make it an EVEN BETTER deal! We found a minor defect on the vehicle and without hesitation he dropped the price more than enough to fix the problem. Likewise, he and the rest of the staff were more than patient while I worked through my own finanical worries. They helped me understand everything about the loan process and come to a price I was comfortable with. It was obvious I was the only customer Greg was worried about at the moment. I walked away feeling like I got a great deal! I haven't even had any "buyer's remorse", which is rare for me. I never knew buying a vehicle could be such a great experience! I will most definitely be back. I highly recommend this dealership and Greg!

Would I recommend this dealership? I am not sure, where most sales people are to aggressive, these people just don't seem to care if they have your business or not. They were friendly enought but I drove over a hundred miles to look a vehicle that was on the internet. For one thing it wasn't cleaned up enough on the outside enough for me to detect if there were body flaws. I made them an offer and was told the internet price was the lowest that it would be offered for and if they didn't get that it would be sold at auction. Two days later the internet price dropped again and they didn't even bother to call and let me know. Which if they had dropped the price while I was there I would have bought it then. And another thing they said they actually preferred financing instead me paying cash. So, all in all I don't think I want to do business there.

Would I recommend this dealer. I am not sure, I thought at first they were very professional but when we came back in to sign the paper work and pick up the vehicle. Every thing was different, the price/payment had changed. The vehicle in question had some scratches marks and dings that they were willing to "fix" but were not willing to drop the price. So in the end we left the dealership and now they have been calling my house trying to work something out. It seems like they have a lot of knowledgeable individuals that work their but none of them seem to communicate with each other, which transcends to their customers. so right now I can not honestly say that I would recommend them, but I believe in giving a second chance, and that is where I am at. If they want my business then they will have to work a lot harder for it
