We just had our airbag that was recalled by the supplier replaced by Thelen Honda. They did a great job, contacted us when it was in to schedule it when we were available, and took only about 25 minutes. Everything was great and they were very professional.

My current Audi is the second Audi purchased at Thelen. Part of the reason I returned to Thelen was because of the excellent customer service. Shannon and all of the staff have always been great - I can reserve a rental if I want to take a trip to the mall, or I can wait in the comfortable lounge. They accurately estimate the time that my service/repair will take so I can decide in advance if I want to hang around or go run some errands. I live in Mt Pleasant (an hour drive from Bay City) so having a rental makes the most of my time.

I had my oil changed on Tuesday Aug. 30 at Thelen Honda. Overall, it was a nice experience. The service personnel were courteous and helpful. My oil change was done fast and I was out of there within an hour. Not only did they change the oil, they also performed a standard safety check of the entire vehicle and then washed the car. I will definitely recommend Thelen Honda to my friends and family

After a bad experience with the service department at this dealership with a past vehicle (2003 Mazda MPV), I was very hesitant to bring this Subaru to the service department. I purchased the car at a different dealership, but have been questioning their service since my purchase in 2014. I have to admit I was not ever going to go back to Thelen, but after my experience 12/4/15 where I had to decide to drive and hour to the other dealership with a check oil pressure light on or drive to Thelen I chose the closer to protect possible damage to my vehicle. They got me right in and I was impressed with the thorough inspection which I never received in the 3 oil changes at the other dealership. Even checking the warranty for my cracked windshield. Thanks for the great service and I definitely will use Thelen service in the future.

My 2012 VW Passat was flat bedded to Thelen VW. Thelen gave us a loaner car to continue our trip.Service Dept. Jaymes was very good and the auto technician Chad did a good installing a new engine. We think the engine problem was a faulty injector. Received a new long block and all related work, Fluids etc. 2012 Passat TDI, 38,000 miles.

As always, I was greeted promptly and courteously for my scheduled appointment. Routine service was completed promptly. No complaints there. Waiting area is cramped and has no place to comfortably set up a laptop for work. TV is tuned to morning TV crap that did seem to interest other patrons. One insisted on wanting to share his thoughts on Kelly and Michael. Did not help me get my document written. I have certainly experienced nicer accommodations, but not better service. If I were closer to the dealership, I would certainly be dropped off. I have also retreated to McDonald's in the past. This time it was raining hard enough that I didn't want to walk just to have a table to work on.

The Service Department at Thelen Audi is exceptional. Great technicians who are as personable as they are talented. Service Manager who treats you with respect and is truly authentic in service delivery and a Part Manager who takes the extra steps to make the experience memorable and positive. The facility is neat and clean with comfortable seating, refreshments and WIFI (fast too). When your car is done it is presented to you in such a way that it feels like a new car all over again. Service makes all the differences and although I bought my car elsewhere (used and up north), I will definitely look to Thelen to buy my next car because of the outstanding service recieved.

Tl;dr - Their detailer ruins all of their used car's paint, even if they're virtually brand-new. Emailed the GM to give feedback and was immediately blown off. Sales people were initially great, aftercare was non-existant. First of all, Justin was one of the best salespeople I've ever worked with - from both a customer and sales perspective. He struck the perfect combination of listening and leading the interaction to make my wife and I feel comfortable yet more confident in our decision. I was equally impressed at the lengths he and Josh were willing to go to to close the deal, given that we had intentionally not brought our title for trade-in, had no intention of buying, and hadn't even yet applied for a loan. I have serious respect for his ability to close a sale. During the interaction while negotiating the value of our trade in, Justin made mention of, what sounded to me like, a third party whom they use for detailing or "restoring" used cars prior to putting them on the lot. Whoever this person or group is, they need to stop giving them their business. The cars they sell would be worth more if the "detailer" had never touched them. I spend a decent amount of my free time detailing cars, and know enough to tell you that the techniques they are using are incredibly lazy and, in cases such as with our car, can cause severe damage to the car's paint. The damage to our car's paint was likely caused by someone using an incredibly aggressive wool pad on a rotary buffer, which was in no way necessary. These are usually reserved for use in body shops to remove wetsanding marks in between multiple coats of new paint. I was able - after about 9 hours of work - to remove the holograms caused by their "detailer," but there is no way to rebuild the significant amount of clear coat they unnecessarily removed. This was also evident on ALL the other used cars I glanced at on their lot - a 2014 Audi S5, two 2013 Mazda3 sedans, a 2013 Camaro. All cars that, like ours, were probably in fairly clean condition before being "restored" and made much worse. After finishing fixing the mess they had created, I emailed the GM, CC'ing the salesman and sales manager that had assisted us, trying to let them know that they should find someone else to do their detailing work for them and showing them pictures of the damaged paint. I wasn't asking for compensation and wasn't angry. The response I got was "Thank you for your business and feedback Zack." I used URL shorteners for the links I sent to the pictures so that I could track whether they were clicked through or not, and only one of them was clicked once between the three people who received the email. I would not recommend shopping here unless you want to buy a car that's paint will fail years before it should.

We had asked for three things to be completed before we came in to finish the purchase of our used vehicle, and not one of the items had been taken care of. Yet they were real eager to take our money. We will never buy another vehicle from Thelen. The only thing we liked about this purchase was that it was the price we were looking for.

Let me start by saying I have never written a negative review before (mostly because people only take the time to write them when there have a problem) however this is a warning STAY AWAY!!!! They had my car for 13 (yes thirteen!!!) weeks for what they told my insurance company was a 5 day job. I got the gamut of excuses...waiting on part, technician had a baby, waiting on insurance company (even though they never sent my insurance company any paperwork), I could go on and on. They refused to pay for any part of the rental car. Interestingly enough when I returned the car, the people at the rental place said they have experienced problems with them as well and people around know not to go there - wish I would have had that information. So I picked up my car last night - my bumper is fixed with a ZIPTIE - ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! ...started my car up this morning and my check engine light is on. Bottom line WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN ANY INDUSTRY. If there was a 0 star rating, I'd give it. Took it to a dealership to make sure the job was done right - couldnt have made a worse decision. I will never buy a Mazda again.
