We purchased a 2006 Yukon Denali from John Sr. We love the vehicle and the service they provided has been even better. After purchasing the vehicle we noticed that the sunroof would not go all the way back. I contacted John and he said bring it back and they would look at it. They gave me a nice loaner at no charge. Not only did they fix the issue, but they had to replace the entire sunroof and I know that was very expensive. They did not charge me a penny. I am very thankful for what they did because we are on a fixed income and I would not have been able to pay for the repair. Not many dealerships would have done all that they did. I am truly blessed that a family dealership like this still exists. I can not thank John and his boys enough for the wonderful vehicle and the amazing service. I would recommend them to anyone.

I found a car I was interested in, on line. The car was physically 14 hours away. I talked with the salesman, at length, who answered each and every question in a straight forward, no nonsense manner. I bought the car sight unseen and after having the car shipped to my door, which they took care of, I couldn't be happier.

Very nice dealing with people who actually care what you think and need . No sitting in office waiting for salesman to talk to manager back and forth. Brothers do deal very quickly and no asking manager what to do. I've been in other dealer ships 6-8 hours waiting to talk finance and managers. Very happy here.

Found a very nice looking Suburban 2500 at Thiel on line. with 30-40 images of the vehicle we felt comfortable making a 3 hour drive from Wisconsin to take a look. From the start communication with Jim Thiel was solid, returning calls and E-mails promptly. I was fortunate to find a GM dealer right down the road so I set up an appointment to bring it in for an independent inspection. Jim was cool with this in face he encouraged it. I believe his words were something like "If there is a problem lets discover it and handle it before the sale. whatever it takes to satisfy the customer." We ended up taking the truck to lunch and then to the dealer. While driving the truck I noticed the message display indicating a problem with the trailer braking system. Other then that the dealer looked it over and found it to be in great shape. After returning to the showroom and attempting repairs Jim gave me an option to either drop the asking price or they would pay for the repairs when I returned home. I chose the latter and within two days of e-mailing him a copy of the receipt I received a check in the mail. I had the opportunity to chat with Jims father while we waited for the paperwork to process. He seems like a real down to earth guy as well. They have a nice collection of classic cars in their showroom as well as an additional building filled with them. This is a very nice family owned business that Jims grandfather started. In todays world of rip-off artists and people saying one thing and doing another. it is very refreshing to do business with a company like Thiel Motor Sales. I would highly recommend them! I recently bought a 2008 F250 Super Duty from these guys. I live nearly 700 miles away and they were very understanding of my situation and were willing to work with me until I got a chance to drive up and take a look at it in person. I'm not one to buy a vehicle without driving/looking at it in person. All I really wanted to do was drive it and take a quick look under it and make sure the ball joints were in good shape, the transmission case and bell housing were clean, and that there was minimal rust. All of these are indicators that the truck really was low mileage as advertised and hadn't been refitted with a new gauge cluster and interior before being sold at auction prior to arriving at the dealership. That happens sometimes (though rarely) with heavy duty trucks especially if they were former fleet service vehicles. They get ran hard and then fitted with a new interior and prettied up to sell for a premium price. Carfax doesn't know everything. The reason I'm saying this is because these guys were honest about the vehicle, they knew the history of it, they serviced it before I took it off their hands, and it was nice and shiny inside and out when I drove it home. Not a spot of rust on it, not even on the underside. If they managed to find this 7 year old truck with 20k miles on it in this great condition, then I'm sure they can find whatever you might be looking for in a vehicle. It was well worth the round trip 1,400 mile drive.

My wife and I found ourselves stranded in DeWitt, Iowa after our Ford Diesel took a serious turn for the worse. After receiving several recommendations from a few locals, we went to Thiel Motors. We drove several trucks, and fell in love with a 2011 Chevy. We felt we received a very fair deal, especially given the condition of our trade. The new truck pulls our trailer great and we are very satisfied with our truck. I got to meet the owner and had a nice experience with our salesman Josh. Highly recommend this place if you need a truck!

My wife and I purchased a 2006 F350 from Thiel Motors to pull our camper. We had a limited amount to spend, so it made it hard to find a truck in our price range. After shopping for about a month we decided to make the hour and half trip to Theil because they had a lot of diesels. We drove three trucks. The truck we liked the most and ended up buying had 160,000 miles on it. More than we wanted. The salesman Jim assured us that it was a good truck. He said that they serviced it and inspected it prior to offering it for sale. So we ended up making the purchase. Well, 3 months later we could not be happier. We just got back from a 4000 mile trip and the truck was perfect. I didn't even know my trailer was behind me. Check them out if you are in the market for a truck.

bought a truck on line an original w/ 70,000 miles non smoker get truck 7 burn spots in door panels , rocker panels cut out repaired rust would not pass state inspection in texas without some brake work,so beware if you cant see it in person I would pass on it . their word is not good still have no title .

We spoke with John Jr. via phone on a Duramax Chevrolet truck. He did a complete walk-around on the truck and told us about any flaws he found. We gave him a deposit over the phone to hold the truck. Upon arrival (after a 6 hour drive), the truck was everything he said it was on the phone. Great people to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone! WOW! I've bought many vehicles over the years and have never had a better buying experience than just had Thiel Motors in DeWitt. My salesperson was super easy to deal with and I even dealt directly with the owner during the negotiation process. I got the exact truck I had been searching for nearly 3 months - and I even paid a little less than I anticipated. They have an AMAZING selection of trucks!

I recently purchased a small SUV from Thiel's. I felt like I was treated fairly, and wasn't pressured at all into the purchase. I looked for a few months, and other car dealers were very pushy and rude when I didn't buy on my first test drive. If I'm spending $20,000. I don't want pressure. Thank you Thiel, for a nice experience and a nice used car. They also repaired a defective passenger seat for me 3 weeks after my purchase. Awesome!

I stopped by Theil motors because I liked a truck on Cars.com. I had a bad feeling after arriving because I had to "find" a sales person. After test driving the truck we agreed on a price and arranged to take delivery after some repairs were made. Two weeks later I purchased a truck from another dealership. Jim Theil would not answer the phone or return my phone calls. I actually called and asked to speak to a different owner and still did not recieve a call. I have never heard of a car salesman that would not call a customer back. Terrible experience but I am glad it did not workout because I was able to locate a better truck. Do not waste your time.

I purchased my Lexus from Thiel Motor Sales in 2009. The service them was great. I just recently brought it back in for Service Work. I had an oil change and break work done and it was done very quickly and at a very reasonable rate. I am very happy with sales and service work. They have very friendly staff and everyone is always willing to help you out. I would recommend Sales and Service to everyone!

My husband and I drove from Des Moines to look at a truck and ended up buying it. Very fair deal and they gave us a good prie for our trade. Jim was able to get us a finance rate lower than our home town bank. Over-all this was the best car buying experiance we have ever had. We will be calling Thiel for our next vehicle.
