I walked in with uncertainty of buying in that evening but Kris Hulsing gave a detailed and helping information on the car I was looking at. Result, We concluded the deal and I drove my new car home the same night. Although I found myself with two cars (my own previous car that I drove to the dealership) they offered to help me getting my old car to my house the next day. It was totally different car buying experience. They set the bar really high in the car selling business. Other dealers should take note from them.

My husband and I both agree this was the best car buying experience we have had. My husbad had been researching terrain's and we had went to several dealerships in our area and no one was even close to the pricing Thompsons offered or was as straight forward and friendly as the staff at Thompsons. ALL of the staff at Thompsons were excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was welcoming and very friendly. Not one time did we feel "pressure" from anyone to purchase a vehicle. We traded in our gmc acadia for a gmc terrain. We have had the car for a few days now and we love it! We drove from Stockton to purchase our vehicle and we plan to do it again some time in the furture when we decide to purchase another vehicle!

Purchased a 2011 Ford Escape from Thompsons Toyota on Labor Day. Salesmen were definitely very helpful and much friendlier than those we found in Sacramento. Daniel Cockrell was the best, he sat with us and entertained my grandson and I throughout the loooong paperwork process (which was probably due to the labor day sales) AND helped us to get both cars home. Overall a very much better experience than I think we would have had at any other dealership I've experienced. Would definitely go back again!

I purchased a Beautiful Buick Verano. I am not sure where to even start at telling the most story of the most wonderful shopping experience that I have ever had. I stopped in to just see what kind of cars they had that would give good gas mileage and meet my needs. I was just looking as I did not think I would be able to get into a new car now. I was educating myself for the future. I was greeted by Charlie. He is this calm confident caring person. We just clicked. Charlie is amazing and on top of that he was one of our brave veteran hero's that represented our country proudly and fought for our freedom. Charlie showed me a car that seemed perfect for me. We went in to discuss the car. It turned out to not be the right car for many reasons. I left that day that it was going to be a while before I would be able to purchase my dream car. Little did I know that Charlie, Randy Paul, Irving and team had been working for days behind the scenes finding me the right vehicle at the right price and financing. Charlie called me back in and told me to "pick a Color:!!! I thought he was kidding but he was not. I felt like I had one the lottery. They treated me like a celebrity. I am a women and bought this car on my own. I felt so comfortable at Thompsons. This is the best place. They truly took care of me and I felt they always had my best interest in mind! They paid off my trade And I drove off from the lot with a brand new car. I will save money with the gas savings. I cannot say enough about this sincere customer orientated team. The crew at Thompsons GMC in Placerville CA were great!! Excellent customer service orientation. I took my 2003 Pontiac Vibe in for 2 recalls notices on the SRS airbag systems. They were prompt and courteous in getting my car completed in a expeditious manner. My recall was completed in one day, by the time I was off work it was so easy! I cherish their honesty - I know a bit about cars and they never try to sell me something I don't need, just not able to do the work anymore. My Vibe needed an Automatic Transmission flush and they performed that along with my recall. Honesty, integrity,and follow through from start to finish - makes this my GM dealer for life.

I was amazed at the speed and ease of doing business over the phone and internet. I emailed at 1am on Wed night and by 6pm on Thursday - my new car was driven to me - and they took a trade in back with them!!! And to top it all off they brought me a bottle of wine. This is the new way to buy a car, especially when you are a working mom with 3 young children, packing for spring break trip the next day!!!!! As a sales person, I am very critical of car sales. I found this experience to be fair, honest, timely and a win, win for all.

First off, I'm not much of a "leave a review" type of guy but I'm compelled to share my experience with Thompson's. As a previous GMC owner, I am aware of the high quality in the products and service. With those standards in mind, we have been interested in the GMC Yukon Denali for the past few years. Until recently, we have not been too committed in the search for an upgraded vehicle. After doing some online research and looking at inventory in the area, I found an ad for a 2012 Denali with all the features we wanted at the right price at Thompson's. They even had the Carfax available for all to see. Being an apprehensive shopper, I had a laundry list of questions. I called Thompson's and Cheryl Kerrigan was quick to answer them. A few hours later, we were talking to Kris Hulsing and test driving the vehicle. He was very personable, honest, & informative. He really took his time to ensure this was the vehicle for us and did not attempt to pressure a quick sale. Kris and Chuck Swift worked late hours that night attempting to package an acceptable deal. Since it was late, banks were not open and we had an opportunity to think more about the purchase and come back while they prepared the deal. Well... WE DID!! We came back and Kris, Cheryl, Chuck, & Irving welcomed us while we decided to pursue the vehicle. I got a great deal on my trade and a great price for the Denali. We came for the vehicle but stayed (and purchased) due to the stellar customer service, honesty, & willingness to work with us. I'm very impressed (if you knew me you'd know how hard that is to do)!

A few weeks ago I went shopping for a new vehicle. It was my first car buying experience. The first place we went to was Thompsons. Right away we were greeted with a very friendly gentleman; Kris. We explained to him exactly what we were looking for. Kris showed us right away all the vehicles that we were interested in. We had two vehicles in mind out of what he showed us that we were interested in. Because this was our first stop of the day we wanted to go explore other dealerships. Kris told us that we would be back, that the best deals were right here. Well Kris was right, within a few hours we were back ready to by my first Truck. This was a lucky day for me. It truly was the truck I had been wanting for a long time. There was no hassle at all, and everyone that was involved in the purchasing process truly did everything in their power to get me this Truck that was just what I was looking for. Kris Hulsing in Sales was great, and so was Irving Zepeda from Finance. I was very impressed with every aspect of my experience with this car dealer and their employees, down to the last detail. I bought a used car that had been thoroughly checked to be at a very high standard. It was also totally clean in and out and a pleasure to drive. The price was very reasonable. 3 hours before we'd seen a similar model car that we liked and intended to buy, but good thing we looked at this one on our list anyway because it was a much better value. There was no pressure put on us, which is refreshing. I felt all my questions were answered honestly and politely. My wife and I were made to feel comfortable and welcome. What can I say except I highly recommend this dealer, Kris, and Irving.

I stopped in at Thompsons to see new trucks as mine was 13 and showing it's age. Met Kris and he showed me around the lot, quickly zeroing in on what I wanted. Dealer went out of there way to get the vehicle we wanted. Never charged us more for it actually lowered the price.Nice friendly no BS dealer.I will buy here again. Overall our experience was Very Good. The evening we took delivery of the Buick Verano, we noticed a foggy film on the inside and outside of all windows that has been very problematic to remove even with Windex. Also shortly after we took delivery, we viewed National advertising that offer the same vehicle with more features, i.e. Pandora radio and priced several thousand dollars less the the vehicle we purchased. I am not very happy that Thompson's did not inform us of the upcoming decrease in price.

Cheryl was so helpful not at all pushy which is why I went back there after going to another dealership and had a really bad "meat market" experience there. She was very knowable and super friendly and had lots of patience with us. And even after we bought the car she kept being very helpful whenever we had a question or concern.

We worked mostly with Kris in the beginning. We obtained a quote for a truck. Then we decided to go for a different vehicle at a different dealership. Kris called to follow up with us, even though we told him we were buying a different truck. He was easy to work with, persistent, but not obnoxious. He worked with us to get a deal that was acceptable to both parties. He was very professional and was a pleasure to work with.Cheryl was the person that helped us when we picked up the truck!! She was very nice to work with. She was very knowledgable and explained the different features on the truck to us. She too was very professional and pleasant to work with. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. They are professional, knowledgable, fair, honest, and we have an excellent experience with them. We ordered seat betl extenders and we have receied those by mail. We didn't have to wait weeks for them. Kris called after the transaction to see if we had any questions, etc. Also told us to call if we had any.

I am a single woman who has heard the negative stories of women dealing with car dealerships. I can tell you for a fact and now from experience I found zero of that with Thompson's. My husband and I were in the market for a used car. We found that Thompson's website was easy to use and their prices on used cars could not be beat (we looked!). Placerville is a little bit of a drive for us, so we contacted Jack before going up to make sure the car we were interested in was still available. When we arrived, Jack had the car waiting for us to test drive. He was helpful and informative, but not pushy at all. Even the paperwork, which is always a bit time consuming, was easy to fill out with Jack's guidance. We love our new-to-us car! This was one of the easiest car-buying experiences I've ever had!

I started building a relationship with the people at Thompsons some years back by tacking my truck and car to them for service. Their service team is second to none ... they don't up sell on service and they back their work 100%.When I started thinking about a new truck I met Craig in sales, he asked some basic questions and provided all the help that I needed. Some 6 months later when "I" was ready Craig was there to help me along the truck building process. Craig and the sales team when right to work to insure that I was getting the right truck for me. After some major confusion and frustation due to a smog problem and warranty issue, John Greenly and Tim Deklotz helped us resolve the issue. After listening to our problem, Tim had the repair and smog done at no expense to us and the work was done right away. Tim even drove my husband home because the truck had to stay overnight. Thank you to both John and Tim. We have been loyal Thompsons customers for 19 years and purchased many vehicles and the service that goes along with them. We like to keep our business local and not have to go down the hill. We also want to thank Rodriquez for being the great mechanic he is. My husband doesn't let anyone else work on his vehicles. This is the second purchase for us at Thompsons. (see, we came back) Dave Massey was terrific, awesome, funny, thorough, honest, and oh so easy to work with. So was Scott, with whom we had to sign all the papers. Jerry and he talked "Classic cars" as they both had '55 Chevys. Thompsons gave us the full value for our trade in and this purchase went totally awesome. We walked out of there with no car payment and driving a 2009 Chevy Impala...beautiful car! We are so happy! My wife and I wanted to give this high rating and acknowledge the employees listed. This is our second purchase from this location and everything went so great, much better than expected. We take the drive all the way up from Rocklin, we don't get treated this well down at the Roseville Automall. Even though we had to make two trips up, Monday and Tuesday, it was well worth it, Cache was able to work some magic and get us a better than expected interest rate, Scott made signing those long forms as painless as possible and Dave was with us every step of the way, he especially made us feel very comfortable. This will definitely be our purchase location for the next vehicle down the road.

My husband and I found a car listed online at Thompsons that we were very interested in, so we drove more than 4 hours to check it out. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful the entire time we were there. After our test drive and inspection we indicated that we were interested in buying it, and Barbara made the rest of our visit quick and easy. We got our car for a great price, much lower than anywhere else we had looked, which made it worth the 8 hour drive there and back! They have a plethora of testimonials on their website and its easy to see how every one is true. They were so great! We love our new car and are extremely glad we drove all that way. We would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a car, whether you live in the area or not! They turned what could have easily been a stressful experience into a great one. Thanks again!

Not only did this dealership have the lowest price around on the GMC Sierra 2500 we purchased, but they went above and beyond to find us the vehicle that we really wanted. Even if that meant doing a dealer trade. In fact we changed our minds at the last minute and they didn't even seem to mind, they were super understanding and very accommodating. We didn't have to wait for anything. They had the paperwork pre-ready for us and the vehicle was washed and fully fueled when we arrived. I highly recommend Thompsons for any of your vehicle maintenance or repair needs. They are very polite, the price is always more than fair, and when I pick my car up, its always been washed for me.Ive been going there for several years and wouldnt go anywhere else. I live in Folsom and today the shuttle driver Mark (who is nice, professional and a great driver) drove me all the way home You cant ask for better service than that. I came from out of town to look at a used Subaru. I didn't make my decision to buy during my visit, but decided a few days later. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to be able to make it back to Thompson's until the following weekend, but since I was set to buy, they worked with me to complete my loan over the phone and drove the car out to me that night!
