Had a great experience with Toyota of Berkeley this past weekend buying our new car. My approach was to work with the internet sales team before coming into the showroom. In the end I chose Berkeley because not only did they give me the best deal, but because their internet team was the most responsive and most accommodating. Once in the showroom, there was a seamless transition from my quote to the sales manager and to finance. It was the best and quickest car buying experience I’ve had to date. Other dealers couldn’t match the service or pricing of Toyota of Berkeley.

I've taken my Toyota here a few times for repairs and I'm not coming back. They didn't actually listen and never fixed anything. Had my car overnight and gave it back without fixing the problem. A different mechanic found and fixed the problem within three hours. What gives?

Berkeley markup above MSRP during "chip shortage" was $0. Hilltop Toyota was $8K for same truck!! (Price gouging??) Had exactly the truck I needed. No pressure Brian (sales rep) was awesome, friendly, and gave me some great advice! Jack (Sales Manager) and Simon (F&I) were both equally awesome! Highly recommended.

This was a simple 20K service with no apparent problems. They did try and upsell an alignment and wheel balancing.

Every time I take my car in I am appalled at the customer service---Whether its the wait time, driving around in shuttle that is so old and rickety that it needs a face lift. Rushing in to have my car there early, then having to wait 30 min for the shuttle is not good business. Offering us a free breakfast around the corner? Also, I am used to having my car washed after a big service... maybe I am expecting to much, but this place is depressing and the only reason I keep going back is because it is the closest one to me...

We have purchased all of our family cars from this dealer since 1965. We use their Service Department even though it may be a bit pricier than other independent businesses because it's convenient and because they are very kind and efficient. The work is done on time, they call to discuss any new things they have discovered before proceeding, and we like to support our local businesses!

The best dealership service advisor i have ever met is Noy Damrong of the Blue Team of Berkeley Toyota . My experience with this dealership is superb. After our Volvo finally broke down on us we decided to get a Toyota. We did not know which one we knew we wanted a Hybrid. I went down to Berkeley Toyota Kriss the sales person went over every model with me and helped me to decide that the Camry Hybrid was the right fit for me and my family, he had great knowledge and was very patient and I am very happy with my choice.

I tried a few dealers but they did not have the car i was looking or they said they did and when i got their they did not, so on my way to the Berkeley bowl I decided to stop at Toyota of Berkeley I was greeted by a nice sales person Kriss he was great he answered all my questions took me for a test drive in exact car i was looking for. I love my Prius Plug In I wish i would have tried them first!

The buyer was really nice and accommodating to what we wanted. He was not pushy on anything and acted more like a guide in which we liked. However I wished he could be more up front about the cost, and just gave a the overall price with the fees instead of talking about the retail price of the car.

Stopped at I-80 Junction and they have an indoor showroom, that is simply beautiful and the selection is amazing!!..I saw cars from $5,000 and up to almost new. I had color choices on the car I was looking for, which is Corolla.....It was a short drive well worth it!!

Bought my second Toyota from this dealership and Abdul(Sales Rep) in the last 5 months. Very pleased with Sales rep Abdul. Both times he had to dealer trade to get my specific vehicle. Toyota of Berkeley has the best prices in the state. I check 50 dealers in Nor Cal and Southern Cal. NO ONE COULD TOUCH their price. Not even Longo Toyota. Very friendly, no pressure just great deals. GET THE BERKELEY PRICE. Go to Toyota of Berkeley. Ask for Abdul and drive home in a new Toyota at a great price..

Purchased a used VW this past Sunday, pulled off the lot on a completely empty tank of gas with the warning signal beeping at me. Three days after purchasing the car, the engine light came on accompanied with beeping warning signals. I was told that their service department would check it out but there was no promise of whether I would be paying for the service of not. Since the dealership is a good 20 miles from where I live and I wasn't sure if it was a serious problem that would either ruin the engine to drive with it that way or if I would end up broken down on the side of the road, I took it to a VW dealership 2 miles from my house. They discovered an emission valve was at fault and that until it was fixed, it would not pass smog inspections. After contacting Toyota about what I was told, they were smart elics, stating they felt there was no problem at all, that I probably just didn't screw the gas cap on properly and that whether it was 3 days, 3 weeks, or 3 years, I had purchased the vehicle and it was now my problem. I can't believe the way this dealership actually conducts business. If I had known, I would have never bought a vehicle from them. They don't deserve to be in business.

Sales person was very nice and professional. The car was great. However, the buying process was dreadful. Berkeley Toyota never wanted to list out exactly what they were trying to charge. There always seemed to be an extra $3000 added to the total, without an explanation of what it was for. The answer I kept receiving from the sales person was "i don't know - maybe my manager is adding an extended warrenty". Well, why can't you find out, salesperson? 3 hours of this and I finally walked out. Bought a Mini instead. Very happy.

I did a lot of research online and through friends to find the exact Prius I wanted at a price I could afford. Cars.com helped me refine my search, and at Toyota of Berkeley I found that exact car. The sales associate was helpful, intelligent, and very easy to work with. The financial officer was equally helpful, and within two hours I was on my way home with the perfect car and monthly payments I could afford.

I went in on a Wed to get a quote for my 00 Celica. I was asked if I was willing to sell it on the day itself to which I said yes, provided the number was right. This guy went in talked to his manager, then came back saying they dont have time to look at the car and offer a quote. Fair enough. He set up an appointment on the Friday. Went in on Friday, taking some time off work. I waited around for a while before anyone got around to me. It all seemed a bit unproffesional for a so-called dealership. The first guy I spoke wasnt around, some other bloke called bill blinks came around. Same questions, asked if I was willing to sell the car on the same day blah blah then tells me to come back next week as they are 'busy'. I just dont get it - totally snobbish, doesnt even look at the car. While I understand a used car may not fetch them as much as a new one, they could still have netted a 1.5-2 grand profit from it, me thinks. ssimply put, he was rude and I simply left, livid inside. Chances of me doing business with them - not in a million. <br>
