This was my first time buying a car, and I'm not knowledgeable about cars at all, so I was nervous about the process. But my experience with Toyota of GR was great! This is a strange time to be buying a car, since availability is so limited, but they still made it work. Kevin M. and Nick H. were both excellent and got me a good deal considering how high prices are right now. The process was clear, and I didn't feel like I was pressured into adding anything I didn't want to buy. And of course, I love the car!

Love my car! Purchased a 2018 Camry with 21,000 miles. Good used cars are hard to find and they go quick but the sales team stayed on it and I'm very happy with it! Relatively fast service. Expected faster check in and check out for a new vehicle I purchased there. No one had a mask on so we had to wait outside. Expected a knowledgeable staff that knew we were coming, what needed done, and a more detailed inspection sheet, did not get that. The highlight was our salesman “Emil” saw us in the parking lot and he did offer to bring us we needed. Positive was that we got our step in instead of sitting. Got sprinkled on but no rain.

I was looking to upgrade my 2013 RAV4 Limited to the newest model and also hybrid model. The local dealership did not have any in stock so I searched in Grand Rapids. They had a sale / internet discount going on on some of their 2017 RAV4 Hybrid Limited so I found one that I liked the most and contacted the dealership. Very Helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The climate to buy a new car was very friendly and no pressure. Our sales rep Tara Helmer was very knodwledgeable and always kept us informed of where we were in the process and what we could expect. No surprises or hassels. The rest of the sales staff was very helpful even though they were not directly involved with the process. I would buy every car from them if I have the resources.

Came here to potentially upgrade from my old aging sedan and found the whole process remarkably unpleasant. The trade in evaluation was fair and the sales associate was pleasant enough, but before I could even look at any vehicles I was pushed into a credit check and a form disclosing my financial information. If I was looking at something higher end I might understand this, but I was planning on looking at an entry level Camry! Eventually after a half hour of paperwork, an appraisal of my trade in and a credit investigation I was shown a couple of cars, which I ultimately wasn't very interested in either and I wanted to shop around for a few other brands. They do not seem to understand this concept at all. Next thing I know a manager is pushing a used Lexus on me. The car was nice, but outside my budget and the interior was an ugly color. After I remarked that I wasn't interested, he laughed and finally relented. As far as I can tell, if they can't push you to close the day you come in, they aren't interested in dealing with you. My advice, try the dealers on the North end of GR. They seem to be much more relaxed and understanding.

This is my 2nd leasing experience with Toyota of GR, specifically with Nick Snyder. He listened to my need and wants, and did an awesome job of hooking me up with what I was looking for without the common pressure you see at dealerships. We were turning in 2 leases and looking to lease 2 new vehicles. Bruce Diamond did a great job checking me in for repair work and explaining what needed to be done. I was so glad that they are open late some evenings since I arrived late afternoon. I needed front and rear brake work. They had all the parts necessary for the repair and finished just at closing time. Very efficient!

Had my Sienna in to check on needed repairs. Brad DeMott checked me and and was very patient with my long list of things I gave him to be checked. He was polite and professional. When everything was finished Vern Hall went over all the fixes they found and options. He was super personable, gave me the good, bad and ugly and I did not feel pressured in any way. I really felt like he was looking out for my best interest. Very happy with my experience...and they have Starbucks coffee in their waiting area!

Arrived for the 150,000 mile oil change, Ben Dekruyter review the list of services my 2005 Prius should also have at this point. We chose some of the items and will do the rest at the next oil change.Ben later came in the waiting area and told me my springs were broken. We discussed the cost and timing of replacing them. So he is ordering the springs and I'm hoping my a schedule will lighten up a little to get this repaired. Ben also informed me about how I can drop off my car and they will drop me off at work. Just might take them up on that service.Thank you for all your help, I'll be back soon!

Ben DeKruyter is an awesome service advisor, along with the rest of the service advisors at Toyota of Grand Rapids. I have never had a bad experience with an advisor or with any maintenance or repair.The only room for improvement would be that they have moved their service scheduling to a call center and there is a long wait time to get through to schedule your service now. I will be using their online app from now on, which is what I think they are wanting us to do now.

I bought a used car and Emmy Granderson was a great person to work with. She had great communication skills and a great sense of humor. While I have driven Camrys for many years, this was the first time I was purchasing a new car by myself. Tara Helmer listened carefully to my list of what I wanted in a car. I would like to congratulate Nick Synder on a well executed used car sale to my wife and I. We looked at vehicles from Philadelphia to Ohio and ended up back here, local. You can't believe a word the other dealers tell you, so you travel that far to look at junk. Before I flew out to Philly to look at vehicle #3 I had spoken with Nick and he said just come on in and take this one for a ride, I thought I could find a better deal. So after searching the nation my bride and I headed in to Nick, we test drove the vehicle and the bride loved it. It is a very clean vehicle with the fewest miles of all we looked at and after just talking with Nick I was happy with the price. The best part is now I won't feel bad about returning to Toyota of Grand Rapids to get service done on my local purchase. Thanks again Nick!

Ron Jones Rocks. Every time I go in for my basic service on my 2010 Rav4, Ron is helpful. He listens. He gives advice. And, the thing that he does that is highly appreciated is he gives you an estimate of how much time a job will take and if he cannot meet the estimated time, he will let you know. Of course, he always estimates it on time. He is thorough and he never will pressure you to do a service unless it is needed. That is also highly appreciated.

Al is very professional and dedicated to his clients, he helped us to make an informed decision when buying our 4Runner Limited Edition. Al patiently took the time to explain all the 4Runners features and showed us 4Runners in different colors and also a highlander because we were not sure which color and even which model to choose. He took the time to explained to us all the cars features, similarities and differences, and he also explained different financial options. We will continue to come back to Toyota of Grand Rapids when we need a vehicle because Al is professional, honest and friendly, and always provides us with all the needed information to choose the right car for our family.

Ben was not initially available when I came in with my TC for service last Fri. One of the other service tech's Shawn, was quick to get my information so I was not inconvenienced. He did advise me when my vehicle was ready, Ben would give me the summary regarding the condition of my car. Ben (and the service team in general)always make me feel like a friend, not just a customer. We shared some personal pleasantries initially and then got down to the mechanics. We talked about some cosmetic concerns I'm having with a rubber seal on the inside frame of the window. Ben made a couple of suggestions(some I had considered for a quick fix) and I was on my way! Ben is a Rock Star in my book and Toyota and all their "Friends" are Blessed to have him! Just as an aside, I miss the option to have a cappuccino while I wait!! :)

I recently purchased a 2016 Camry XSE V6. The customer service was low pressure and I was able to test drive and purchase the car the same day. I went in for my 80,000 mile service on my Tundra. The service rep told me that I needed to get the reccomended complete service which instead of $59 for the 80,000 mile service it was $1,145 for everything. I could not believe it but since I want this truck to last me for years to come, I hesintaely went along with it. Three and one half hours latter my truck was ready. About two hours in, another service rep , Ron Jones came to me ,apologized for the delay and offered to loan me a car if I wanted to leave for a while. I politely refused the offer and one hour later, mr Jones came and told me my truck was ready. Ron Jones was very apologetic and even offered a free car wash. As I drove away I could not help but think that the original service rep who wrote me up must have been too embarrassed for both the overall price and the delay. I will be dealing with Ron Jones from now own.

I returned to Toyota of Grand Rapids to have paint sealant applied and have the Prius undercoated. I made the appointment with Joe VanDyke when we purchased the Prius and returned this past Monday to have the services performed. The job took less time than expected which was a pleasant surprise and Joe called to let me know we could pick up the car as soon as it was finished. I had been watching the internet for a very specific used sports car for about a week. I found one and it was sold while I was making my mind up. Then within a couple days the same kind of car with all of the same details that I wanted appeared on the website with pictures not available yet. I returned a note saying that I might have some interest but had to see pictures before driving 400 miles to see the car. The next day on Sunday, his day off, Darren Harrold called and offered to help. I asked about dents, dings, nicks or scratches and general condition. He said he'd check for me and also send me some pictures. He sent some pictures and also said he only saw one small scratch on the hood. After more pictures and more assurances how nice the car was, he agreed to hold it for my wife and I until we could come the 400 miles to see and drive it......and purchase it. He had us on the road on Tuesday before it made it on the lot on Wednesday when we officially bought it. So much extra effort by Darren! I almost wrote "super salesman" here but I never felt that. He was just doing anything he could to sincerely help us buy what we were looking for. There should be a "Most Sincere Salesman award" for his desk in my opinion. I truly felt I could take his word to the bank. Thanks so much Darren Harrold and Toyota of Grand Rapids!

Tim Davis (Toyota of Grand Rapids) is an excellent customer service. As a first time buyer (new Toyota), my husband and I did not know a lot about new Toyota Camry 2016. Tim explained to us very detail about the car (the safeness , the economical/cost less in maintenance, the after sales service from Toyota). Tim even spent extra time showing how to use buttons/keys in the car, connecting car through Bluetooth with my phone, and did a test drive. He brought us to Toyota building tour, so we knows about the Toyota services. Finally after spending 2 hours time, we decided to buy Toyota Camry (It's a good car). Tim is very helpful and courteous ! He even said that we can ask him at any time in the future if we have any questions. He brings good reputation (customer care) of Toyota of Grand Rapids. We also feel proud to be a part of Toyota of Grand Rapids customers (even my husband's family are part of General Motor's & Ford families). Wonderful, service. Frank Tuner is the person I'd recommend going to when buying a car from Toyota. Very friendly, and puts 100% into his customers making sure that they are well taken care of. He makes suggestions on what is the better deal and leaves the ultimate decisions in your hands. He gives all of the information that he can provide you in very great details and is very patient when the customer does not understand something. Having a mother with Vietnamese as her primary language, its a bit time consuming to get her all of the information that she asks for, with that Frank is incredible accommodating with her. Haven't bought a new car in over 35 years. Since retiring we have spent a lot of time out of the country and have not had a need to have a car. Renting cars is getting pretty expensive so we started looking at buying brand new or leasing. Leasing definitely turned out to be cheaper than buying. Went to two year leasing because of our traveling and liked the fact that I should not have to pay for anything other than gas and the lease. I was actually checked in and out by different people.At check in they looked for possible recalls as well as for things that needed to be done. Although I didn't time it, service seemed to be quite fast. When I called for my appt., I was asked many questions that I didn't feel were that necessary to set an appt. after I had told them what I wanted. Vern Hall checked me out, and he was very pleasant. It was a miserable day outside, and he had someone go outside and back my car into the garage to spare me getting out in the elements. I was very pleased with his service.

After checking my records, Ben DeKruiter informed me that the maintenance service had been done at my last oil change and all I needed was to have the tires rotated. I had already had that done. I have worked with Vern Hall on a couple occasions to have repairs done on our 2001 Camry that my son drives. Vern has always been courteous and helpful with questions.and communicates promptly. I do not like repairs or the cost so dealing with Vern does take some of the sting out. Just as a side note I do think you guys are very expensive! Other than that I have always received prompt attention and you do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. That is a culture and character thing and something I have come to hold in the highest regard.

I visited GR Toyota on 3/16/16 due to a recall on my recently purchased 2015 Camry. I was a little put out that this would happen, since I have a history of excellent experience with my Toyota automobiles. There was also some problem about the time factor and the ordering of parts, which further exacerbated my attitude. The Service Advisor, Sean Bier-Hobbs, was very professional and kind in helping me to regain a better attitude. He was not responsible for any of this inconvenience, and did a really good job of deflecting my anger and reestablishing GR Toyota in my good graces. He is a very fine, and important member of your Service Staff.I have purchased four new Toyota automobiles from GR Toyota, and any kind of stress or problem have been virtually nonexistent.

He even stayed a full hour after closing on a Saturday night to allow me time to test drive several vehicles. Bought a new 2016 Tundra and Darren, my sales associate, did a wonderful job. A very active dealership with high volume, and it shows in that they are flexible and focused on customer satisfaction. The vehicle I selected had no keys, then they could not get new keys re-coded, but the sales manager stepped in and offered a loaner car so I could get home that day. Picked up the vehicle the next day and everything was taken care of. I would definitely recommend this dealership, and especially Darren!

My steering wheel lock up was one. He took the time to figure out why, I have had a hip replacement and would grab the steering wheel to pull in and out of the car, result is lock up. My water pump failed, snapping my drive belt. It was past 4pm and shop closes at 8pm. Not only did my service rep Ben Dekuyser take my car with no appointment, but rushed it into service for repair. Thinking prior to this that I had to find a ride for the next day, the repair was completed by 6:30pm with enough time for me to go back to work on my 4 to mid shift. Thanks to Ben's prompt courtesy and the excellent work of the technician, it was definitely a five star performance all the way around!

This is my third Toyota from this facility. The first customer service representative I met had a bad attitude. He was very arrogant and defensive. We quickly agreed we could not work together and I requested for another rep. Fortunately I was introduced to Petr Strakos who was very nice to work with. He was very friendly and professional. I will recommend him to anyone I know that wants to buy a car. I worked with Nick Snyder on the lease for my Corolla. I can't imagine working with a better salesperson! He made the entire process so easy and fast. He went over all of the features with me, showed me how to use them, and told me several times to call him with any questions about settings or whatever I couldn't (or didn't want to take the time to) figure out! He assured me that it would not be an imposition if I had any questions. He walked me through the dealership to show me the service area, the waiting room, the amenities available while waiting for service to be completed (and there are many!), and the parts area. The next day he went above and beyond and called me to see how the first 24 hours with my new car went! Very thoughtful! I will recommend this dealership and Nick to everyone!

I own a 2015 Toyota Rav 4. I'm approaching my 5000 miles so decided to just show up for an oil change. I wasn't sure if I should make an appointment but this was going to be a great test to see how responsive the service department would be. It was very busy at the time but they had me pull in; they told me it would be about 30 minutes and they would have the car back to me; they did a 35 point inspection, 4 tire rotation and check my oil, filled all my fluids and my car all in 20 minutes. I was amazed! I'd like to thank BEN DEKRUYTER for great communication, answered all of my questions and was very kind to me. He scheduled my next 6 month inspection and sent me on my way free of charge. Great experience, pain free, and I was on my way. Thank You Toyota Scion of Grand Rapids and BEN DEKRUYTER!

This visit was a routine service appointment - oil change and tire rotation. During the 21 point vehicle inspection they found that a critter had been storing seed in my cabin air filter. They brought it to my attention and cleaned the filter at no charge, since it had been replaced at the last service visit and was still in good condition. everyone that I have dealt with in the service department over the nearly 10 years that I have owned my Prius has been completely professional and friendly.

I really appreciate the smooth flow of the process when getting serviced at Toyota of Grand Rapids. The check-in process is easy. I always feel welcomed. I love the fact that every bit of the Toyota service that's been done to my Prius over the last 230,000 miles is available right on the screen to help the conversation between me and my service guy, Vern Hall. I've come to trust his recommendations completely and it feels good to do business with someone who is looking out for my best interest. I like to wait for my car when possible because the facility is very comfortable and it builds my confidence in the service staff to hear them working with the various customers. Best of all, the service is keeping my Prius in tip top shape (sorry sales staff; not likely to be a new car customer any time soon).

I have never wrote a review of an auto dealership's facilities before. This is my first because of the impression of the person I dealt with when I checked in. Sean Bier-Hobbs was exceptional in his explaining the needed repairs beyond the oil change for my 2010 Prius I came in for. I expected a 'sell job' to get me to spend lots more. I didn't get it. I was treated with respect and honesty from the moment I came in. With over 174,000 miles on my Prius I discovered that the brakes finally needed new pads; just pads and not rotors. I highly recommend Toyota of Grand Rapids to anyone. I will be coming back.

Repaired bothersome wiper problem that entailed troublesome diagnostic detail and time beyond initial cost estimate. Toyota GR only charged me for initial estimate and cost of final part that resolved wiper issue without charging for intermediate part that did not solve wiper issue. Intermediate part was about 4-5x the cost of final part necessary to resolve issue. Toyota GR provides quiet customer work space with no-charge wifi access, which allowed me to do my work in peace and quiet while my vehicle was serviced; enjoyed free available coffee and popcorn, too.

Joe Van Dyke noticed I was behind in certain maintenance. When he realized I was not expecting that comment, he slowly and respectfully worked through the issue and time frame. My appt successfully got my car up to date with maintenance. I am also aware of recommendations for 50,000 mile appt and can be prepared.

Service as always was wonderful. I drove in a little early and Chris was right there to greet me and get my car right in. I love the quiet room! It was 45 minutes of uninterrupted reading for me which is a gift! When my car was ready and on time Chris came in and reviewed the information with me. I took my car in for an oil change and rotate tires. The service I receive there is outstanding. I was a few minutes late for my appointment but they took me right in and I had my car back really fast. The waiting room is comfortable with popcorn, and other refreshments for the customers. They also have wifi, tv, fireplace and it is just an overall great experience while waiting for your car. All, I repeat all of the service advisors are totally customer focused and will assist you in any way. I am on my second Toyota that I purchased there and they have been 10 stars on every thing they do. I live in South Haven, Michigan and I go out of my way to go to this dealership and Toyota of Grand Rapids is well worth the extra distance and time.

Bruce Diamond was assigned to service my car. Only the driver car door would unlock. Manual unlock, key fob or remote touch of handle would not open any other doors. The clicks occurred like it wanted to but nothing happened. Not sure where to start, could be electronic, maybe not. Bruce heard the malfunction and took it back to his bay to start working on it. While trying to solve the mystery, it started working. He swapped the master lock with the same model on the lot and it kept working. Put mine in again and it continued to work. He had the car for 3 hours and I paid nothing for the visit! Because an exact cause of the problem could not be determined, he didn't want to charge me. The locks began working during the process of trying everything to figure it out but in 3 hours time, he felt the problem fixed itself and sent me on my way!

Vern Hall in the service department is always helpful. I only went in for an oil change but asked him about a minor fix with my glove box. A piece fell out holding it together and I could not get it back on so it sat on the floor for a month. He quickly put the piece on that holds it in place and it is fully functional again. I really appreciate his service.

After noticing a disturbing rattle in the undercarriage of our 2007 Yaris, I made an appointment and brought it in for service. Ron Wood assisted me explaining that the mangled piece of metal which looked like some sort of highway lizard clinging to its mother was actually the heat shield, a vital part of safety protection to deflect heat away from potentially combustible parts like the gas tank. It could even be repaired not replaced. I found the waiting room very comfortable, the atmosphere inviting and the service quick competent and budget-wise.

I currently have 3 Toyota's. I recently had my 2011 Camry serviced to replace the CV Boot. The service department is clean and professional. In the past I felt like they do the hard-sell to get you to replace everything to make your car perfect. However, my recent service visit went very smoothly. Still working through this dealership's incompetence when it comes to filing simple paperwork. Nearly 3 years later I'm still having issues with the State of Michigan not having the correct VIN on file. More than 20 communications with my insurance agent, state of Michigan, auto loan company and now my personal bank who is thankfully offering a way better deal on the last bit of financing, I'm trying to get my paperwork straight. It should be so easy to read a VIN and record it accurately but the legacy of their incompetence is driving me crazy. They have offered no help whatsoever to file the correct VIN with the state and have washed their hands of me as a customer. Of all the cars I've bought over the last 25 years, this is the only negative review I've ever left from a car buying experience! Love the used Subaru I bought there, but could never recommend the dealership to anyone.

My car was difficult to start so I drove directly to the service department. Although I had no appointment, Ben Dekruyter greeted me by name, arranged to get my car checked, change the oil, and rotate the tires. I was on my way within an hour. He had them check everything, and although nothing was wrong, Ben gave me his card with a direct number to call if I had anymore trouble. The service was professional, friendly, caring and competent. I left very happy, with complete confidence in the service provided by Ben.

I bought a new Toyota Sienna from Al Luke in December of 2002. Thirteen years and 449,500 miles later I retired the Sienna and bought another Toyota from Al. He remembered who I was and both experiences were easy. The quality the Sienna cannot be overstated. The only repair it ever needed, other than tires , oil and brakes, was an alternator. It still has the original spark plugs, exhaust, etc.

Jeremy, our salesperson, did an excellent job giving us all the details, warranties, test drive, etc for the Rav4. He sold us on the car, along with national rating reviews we had studied. The "average" rating on the "Buying process" was not a reflection on Jeremy, as far as we knew about staffing, etc at the dealership . Jeremey had all our paperwork, etc set to go between 11 AM and 12:30 PM. He could not get us to one of the finance agents, stating there were only two on staff that day. The Finance staff also encountered some kind of "problem" with one of our Social Security numbers. That was never entirely explained to us. We ended up not spending from 11 AM until 5:30 at the dealership. We saw the finance agent from 4 PM until 5:30. Jeremy did his best to do all kinds of preliminaries to fill the time. We unloaded all our vehicle contents to the new car, and Jeremy went over all of the mechanical and electronic details. We still spent at least 2 hours sitting around, which seemed a bit strange. The finance agent was very nice, but we were puzzled by this entire episode.

Ron Jones did great. My odometer indicated "maintenance required". Actually, he reviewed the status of everything on the car and found that only the brakes were scheduled for complete inspection for wear, etc, which resulted in no needed replacements. I had left a coupon for service work in the car, but he said it was not necessary and just gave me 10% off the bill. The popcorn and coffee are always appreciated also. Thanks, Ron C.

He made my decision a great experience helping me find answers to the concerns I had in moving on to a new car or keeping my leased car. Trey Yarborough was the salesperson I bought my 2012 RAV4 from. I went in initially to look at it on my own and didn't feel pressured to buy it. I had my 2009 Highlander in for normal servicing. With over 107,000 miles, it was due for some routine items. I was explained the pros/cons of each item and I opted for a new PCV valve. During the oil change, they noticed that a gasket was starting to wear and would need replacing. Ben explained the circumstances and costs involved. He totally left it up to me on whether to have the work done or not. There was no pressure at all; and, I really appreciate that. I did opt to have the work done as there was time to do it. I also dealt with Ben a couple of weeks ago when I had my wife's 2007 Camry in for service. Ben is an asset to your organization. I've never had anything but prompt, respectful service from Ben.

I recently purchased a used Toyota. I've never had a Toyota before this time, so I didn't know what to expect. I brought the car into the dealership here for the first tune-up. I was treated very well. I am handicapped. Blaine Bbensyl personally opened the door for me. There were a few other things which he recommended and I had Toyota do some of the additional repairs that he had recommended. When it was time to leave, they pulled the car right up close to me so I could easily get in my car. Very happy with the service.

I had a warranty repair to be done so I dropped the car off first thing in the morning and used their shuttle service to get me back and forth to work. Blaine Bensyl called me at work when the car repair was done and explained under the power train warranty there was no deductible. He got me immediately on my way when I came back to the dealership after work. It is always a pleasure to do my business there

I always take my cars to Grand Rapids Toyota for service. I recently worked with Bruce Diamond to get my Highlander ready for winter. He provides excellent insight on how to maintain my vehicles. I have been very happy with the dependability of the Toyota line up. When you add that to the fantastic service that Bruce provides I keep coming back. I drive 25k miles a year. Having a dependable vehicle is very important to me and my wife. Service can be schedule online, there are appointment times that are convenient for work, and the completed work is always exceptional. Nice job Bruce!

Paul Gruber made buying a used car an excellent experience. Paul's patience, sense of humor, and thoroughness in explaining both the car and the process of buying it was outstanding. Since we were having to deal with a totaled-out car as well as buying a different one, Paul's expertise was most helpful. However, Paul was not the only great personality at the dealership. John, the floor manager kept us thoroughly entertained in Paul's absence and Jay was fantastic at explaining warranties and options. The service department personnel have always been very knowledgeable and helpful. Blaine Bensyl was my most recent service writer. He was prompty and attentive, explained as I was checking out, there was a new problem, not serious yet but should be addressed, that the department found during the oil change. It was a warranty service so he explained the next service call would need to be authorized. I am dropping the car off early, getting a shuttle to and from work that day and know the work will be completed when I pick the car up again. My Avalon is the finest car I have ever owned and the Grand Rapids service department is top notch .

I was very pleased to have had my car serviced at Toyota of Grand Rapids because I was provided excellent customer service. Mr. Blaine Bensyl, the Customer Service Representative, went above and beyond. How so? Well, he showed me the parts that came out of the car that had been replaced and explained what was wrong with the parts. Moreover, I had ordered extra parts for the car (extra rugs) which he did not just hand over to me. He made sure that he placed them in the designated area of the car. All I had to do was drive the car away. He was very professional and nice. Job well done.

Bought a new car in October 2015 - staff was accommodating of busy schedule on our end and straightforward in price negotiations. Darren Harrold kept in great contact and was very responsive to all inquiries. My only complaint was too many "follow-up" calls by other sales staff after my initial inquiry - no need to call every day to see if I remain interested. But overall the experience was very good and I'd recommend the dealership to a friend.

I was very pleased with the help Blaine Bensyl gave me on my Highlander. I came in for a scheduled oil change and Blaine met me as soon as I arrived. He did the paper work quickly and then invited my wife and I to wait in the lounge while the work was done. A short while later Blaine came and talked to me about two problems showing up on the underside of the engine. I had a leak in the oil pan and a leak in the water pump. He then took me back to the garage and showed me where the problem was. He told me the cost and let me know that if did both jobs at the same time it would be less money. He did not pressure me and said he would write both of them as needed repairs on my oil change receipt. He said the repairs were not needed immediately, but would gradually get worse. I was pleased that he did inform us of what was happening. Blaine was very courteous and helpful in his explanations. Brought my 2015 Prius V in for the 10,000 mile check up and came about 20 minutes early. Drove in, the service director was right there and said it would be about 35 minutes. Turned out less than that and pointed out what was done and what we should be doing for the next service. Always pleasant and thorough.

I'd been looking to purchase a recent model Toyota HIghlander for months, and Trey Yarborough, the sales professional who was assisting me, proactively contacted me whenever a vehicle was available that met the specs I was looking for. He wasn't at all "pushy", but was helpful and courteous, even when the model I drove wasn't quite what I wanted. I wouldn't have been able to find "just the right" Highlander if Trey hadn't contacted me just after it arrived on the lot and before it had been cleaned and detailed. He took pictures and scanned them to my office. Prior to leaving to making the drive to Grand Rapids to look at it, he emailed me a list of the each maintenance step that had been taken to prep the car for sale. And when I arrived he was waiting and able to answer all my questions....reminding me that this guy knows Highlanders! Completing the sale was also easy, with no surprises, always a bonus when purchasing a used car. In summary, I highly recommend Trey for his knowledge, courtesy and professionalism. Plus he's just a nice guy (and no- we're not related!).

Over the past 11 yrs, we have purchased 4 Toyotas from Toyota of Grand Rapids. Working with Tara Helmer was the best experience yet. She was very professional and knowledgeable but fun to work with. Although we are pretty familiar with Toyotas, Tara took extra time to review all the features of our new Avalon. The dealership is loyal to its returning customers and works hard to put you in the vehicle you want. The service department at this dealership is also top notch. All of its members are very courteous and professional. They provide a thorough and clear explanation of the work needed to be done. We have never needed to return for work undone or done improperly. If they can save you a few dollars, they will.

Emmy was so nice and she made sure that I felt comfortable with the purchase and insisted that I take the time to make sure that my new Camry was the right purchase for me. She is very patient in explaining the details of the car and went above and beyond to make sure that I understood that car buying process as a first time buyer. I am so blessed that she was my sales consultant. Stephen took the time to explain to me all of the warranties that could be added to the vehicle and I sincerely felt that he had my best interest at heart. He fought for a lower APR on my vehicle for hours and gave me adjustments that insured that the car I was purchasing was in accordance with my budget. I felt bad that I was so naive to the car purchasing process but both Emmy and Stephen were patient enough to make sure I knew what I needed to know and had the information that I needed to make and informed decision.

I was shopping around for a used Prius and saw a couple I liked on the Toyota of Grand Rapids website--a beautiful green one they had particularly caught my eye. I spoke to my salesperson, Duane Eidenier, about the car I was interested in, and when I arrived at the dealership for my appointment the car was already pulled into the garage so I could look it over (it was a cold day out, so I appreciated the warm garage). Duane showed me all the features and I felt that he answered my questions honestly without trying to sell it too hard. Id done a lot of online research beforehand and the price was exactly in the range I was expectingI actually got a little bit better of a deal than Id been hoping for. When I decided to go for it, the finance team was very accommodating about allowing me to finance through my credit union in Lansing. Everyone I interacted with at the dealership was friendly and professional. It was so quick and painless... and I ended up with my dream car!

I was looking for a used car for my son and we found a very nice Subaru Outback sedan on the lot and after driving it decided we would think about making an offer. Not being one to rush into anything I decided to think about that car for a couple of days before making my decision. I finally decided to make the offer, and wouldn't you know, the car sold just prior to my showing up. I expressed my disappointment to the your lady who gave me the news and left the showroom. As I was about the leave the lot I noticed my sales person (Tara Helmer) heading toward my car. She said she was sorry the Subaru was gone and explained it was a similar situation and that a woman had bought it for her son. She then asked what I was looking for and said she was expecting a nice trade-in that pretty well fit the description of what we were looking for and that she would give me a call when it came in. I was thinking this is just a nice sales pitch and a way to keep me interested. However to my surprise she did call me in a couple of days, as promised, and sure enough the car was perfect. I took the car for a test drive - we came to an agreement on price and the rest is history. It was an uncommon car dealership experience and I also had the shop do some repairs and I was completely satisfied with that as well. I would not hesitate to go back to Toyota of Grand Rapids and certainly ask for Tara Helmer the next time I am looking for a car. I find Tara to be a person who does what she says she will do when she says she will do it! My experience has been that people like Tara are the exception rather than the rule. Bottom line it was a great experience and exceptional service!!!

The staff at Toyota was courteous and helpful with all questions! I would recommend this dealership to anyone! I've dealt with other places in the area and Frank and the staff went out of their way to help us getting the right car and financing that fit our needs!

I wish I could rate this zero stars and if I could return my Rav4 I would not because of the quality of the car, but simply because of the rude service. You don't deserve my business! To the coward who works at Toyota of Grand Rapids who called me in regards to MY survey online. Yes my survey! As in my experience, my opinion! Who refused to tell me his name when I repeatedly ask you think you're so bad through the phone, but thanks to you and your very rude customer service calling me and being upset about me "bashing" you on a survey you sent me to comment on? Due to actions I feel a need to let the public know NOT to spend money there. Obviously by all the star ratings you have on here you should know it's not my attitude that needs an adjustment it's obviously your staff. I won't go into details of how I was treated there, but I can tell others don't waste your time at Grand Rapids of Toyota I should have went to Kool Toyota in Plainfield instead. I will be contacting your general manager there and will be contacting your corporate office. Thank you for ruining your company's image! I own and operate a very small business, and was in a pickle about eight months ago. The car I used to transport clients had died. Toyota Care came to the rescue. My daughter hit a pothole and blew the tire. Called Toyota and told them her 2012 car was 1000 miles over expiration miles for roadside assistance. It was 11:15 pm, customer service rep. said " we will have someone out shortly, no charge". Fifteen minutes later, before I got to where she was, she called and said the tow truck was there already. Thanks for taking such great care of your customers.

Having looked at multiple cars at other dealers online, this dealership offered the most fair and attractive pricing as well as great quality cars. I didn't even bother going anywhere else. Three of my family members have bought cars here in the last couple of weeks and we have all felt like we got great deals and treated fairly. Larry Slotsema helped me feel a lot less stressed about having to buy a car and made everything as easy as possible, which is great when you're 9 months pregnant! My wife and I are visiting Grand Rapids from our home in Huntsville, Texas. On our drive up, we experienced heavy storms, and we discovered our wiper blades were in bad shape. I took our Highlander to Toyota of Grand Rapids, where Blaine in the service department took the time to replace the blades himself. We just purchased our third new vehicle from Toyota of Grand Rapids. From years of experience we can testify that the service is impecable. The facilities are absolutely first rate and appealing, and the sales staff is friendly, courteous and extremely helpful (Thanks, Jan!!!!). So why am I giving this review only 4 stars? The buying/financing left something to be desired. This time, instead of buying the vehicle, we decided to lease it. This where the problem arose. The gentleman who handled the financing tried very hard to sell us what he called a "gap" policy, which covered the difference between the lease value and what the insurance would pay in the event the vehicle was totalled in the first few years of the lease. He quoted a price of a little over $20 per month for this and was quite pursuasive that we really needed it and that almost everybody bought it.. In addition, we had to accept it right then and there. We couldn't wait and buy it later. We declined and once we got home we called our insurance company (AAA) to inquire if they had a similar policy. Wow! Were we glad we declined Toyota's offer! We got the very same "Gap" coverage that Toyota wanted $20+/month for. AAA's price: $18 per year!!!!! Now we can see why Toyota wanted to sell us this plan so bad. If you take this plan for 3 years, the normal time of the lease, you would be paying $720 to Toyota as opposed to $44 to AAA for the same thing! Watch out folks. If you decide to lease your vehicle, check with your insurance company BEFORE you sign the papers for your new car. Doing so may save you a significant amount of money.

In 2007 I leased a Toyota Pruis from Toyota/Scion of Grand Rapids, and when the lease period was up, I purchased the car. All of my service was at the dealership. I found all of the sales and service staff to be top notch. Because of my positive experiences there, when I decided to lease another Pruis, I stayed with this dealership. Our sales and leasing consultant was Alfred Luke and I can't say enough positives about his professional and personable manner. It took me awhile to decide and Al never pushed me. He always was there to take time to answer questions and to explain the details. He became a very friendly face at the dealership. In all of my years with the dealership I never had a complaint with the staff and service. The service staff always took time to make sure that my car was kept in great shape and they treated me like my business and satisfaction was important to them. Al and the sales manager and financial person all made sure that I was satisfied and that all of my questions were answered. I'm a big fan of Toyota/Scion of Grand Rapids and I always recommend them to my friends.

Service Rep. Bruce Diamond is one of the best. He and his service reps. are willing to discuss, in detail, service problems that are identified. This is important to me because it allows for an informed decision making relative to cost. i also enjoy the service tech that meets the cars, direct where to park inside, place a floor mat and check all fluids. A nice, and necessary touch.

All the service advisors are great guys. They know their stuff, work with you, not against you. Can't say the same thing for all the sales help I've encountered over the years. Al Lukes is the exception in sales.

I have had several Toyota & Lexus vehicles over the past 10 years and the service at Grand Rapids Toyota Scion has always been great. I believe the best thing about the service is Ben Dekruyter, the service manager that I have come to rely on for outstanding work. I know that Ben will ensure that all of the work that is ordered is completed as promised. He is also on top of what needs to be done to keep my Sienna and RX350 in excellent condition. I find that having someone you can rely on is the single most important reason to keep coming back.

Nick (my fantastic salesperson months ago) was happy to see me and Ben (service) was very friendly every step of the way. After thinking I would be able to look at cars while it was raining and not be bothered by a salesperson, out came Larry into the pouring rain. I was pleasantly surprised. I told him what I wanted, what price I wanted to be at per month, and he got me there. I felt Larry and the dealership had the best interest of myself, that was a nice feeling. I appreciate the professionalism of the whole staff and how nice every one was. I would refer this dealership and Larry if you are looking for a new Toyota. I bought a certified used Toyota from a dealership in the Chicago area and brought it here for service...I live in Grand Rapids. The experience there was good, but after bringing my car here for service (08' Sequoia Limited) I wish I could have kept my purchase local. Ben Dekryter (I'm pretty sure I spelled the last name incorrectly) in service did a phenomenal job, which I brought in 2 hours before my service, explaining what was to be done, called me to say what was needed and what I could hold off on repairing; furthermore, he even saved me a couple dollars by going to the vehicle afterward and showing me how to change the cabin filter and where to access the lights. Oh, and the car was finished shortly after my scheduled appointment. Oh, and he even showed my 2 year old son around the shop which was way cool. I'd highly recommend bringing your vehicle here for service and I look forward to purchasing my next vehicle (I'm a first time Toyota buyer) here in the future.

Toyota does provide great customer service! We made our appt. online which is a quick and easy way to do it. We drove our car there the evening before our appt., and left the key in the envelope with the form to check off what the car needed. We said we needed to pick the car up around noon. Ben (our service agent) knows us well and knows our various cars too!! Our car was ready on time, even with adding one serviced item to the list (which Ben had called us about earlier that morning. So, in short, no problems, no delays, AND a free cup of cappuccino!!Thanks Ben!

After an attempt to purchase an Avalon at a dealership failed, I tried the internet. I looked at many Toyota dealers online, some advertising internet prices and some not. I focused on Toyota of Grand Rapids and requested an online quote. I received a call from Kendra and although she didn't match the discount at an Indianapolis dealer it was close enough considering the Indy car wasn't a hybrid and I didn't have to travel the extra 4 hours to get the car. I orderd the car over the phone with a small downpayment. Kendra was very attentive and helpful throughout the process. She went out of way to find the exact car we wanted and because there wasn't one, she ordered it for us. The day it arrived she emailed us a picture, we went to Grand Rapids the next day and picked up our car after a smooth and seamless transaction process. She also introduced us to a number of service people that we will be dealing with in the future. She went over all the important details of the car and called us a couple of days later to see if we had any questions. I know we can contact her anytime we have a question. It was the best car buying experience we have ever had.

We came to Toyota of GR after an aborted deal due to customer-service failure at another dealership. I was expecting to face the same type of "pitch" at Toyota of GR, but Sean Bier-Hobbs wasn't your stereotypical "car salesman." He made the buying process as smooth as possible; and to top it off, Jeff the F&I guy was very personable. These guys are good at what they do, but they don't let the "business" trump inter-personal relations.

We have bought 4 cars over the past 12 years from Al Luke at this dealership. Al is very patient, not pushy, really listens to what you want in a car. The service department is top notch, I have never felt that they were trying to oversell me, they take the time to explain what is needed and what can wait. I LOVE the $9.99 oil changes, if these were not offered I would probably not have all of my service work done here. Actually I lie, I don't have all of my service done here but would if---- they would do FREE TIRE rotation. Come on Toyota of G.R. Offer this free service to your customers and I can assure you you would increase the sale of tires. Presently I will take my car to Discount for the free rotation and when I need new tires they get my business.

It was time for the 5000 mile or 6-month Toyota Care on my 2013 Venza. Ben Dekruter was my service manager. Ben greeted me, wrote up the work order made sure the care was moved to Ashton Heydenberk's work area. Once service was completed Ben again appeared and announced my car was ready to go. The car is running great the synthetic oil change and multi-point inspection was performed in record time. I think it took only 45-mins. Thank you Ben and Thank you Ashton!

I recently bought a used car from Toyota Scion of GR. Newer vehicle, but not a Toyota or Scion product. Sales person seemed moderately knowledgeable about the vehicle and didn't push me onto another vehicle because I was interested in this one car I saw online. The car sold itself not the dealership sold me the car. As expected I was there for upward of 5 hours for appox 45 minutes of actual work by the staff. The salesperson was polite and helpful but seemed overworked and could never dedicate enough time to me or anything else. After the final signing of papers on a Saturday, I picked the car up the following Monday. From that day, it took me 3 1/2 weeks to get my new plate. The temporary had expired and I was driving on an expired plate for 11 days. There was no communication from the dealership as to when a new plate would be available. When pressed, they blamed it on the State of Michigan but DOT said there should have been no issue getting a plate. After the failures of the dealership in communication and incomplete stories about problems, I'm convinced I was simply being dismissed. Three phone messages to the salesperson without response. Even a message to the general manager went without response. Finally had a response after an angry email to the salesperson. It finally happened that I drove to meet one of the staff to get my new plate after they promised to deliver the plate to me. Again, failure. Have had no communication since then with the salesperson and it appears that they don't care about me as a customer. The only positive part of the experience was when I scheduled a service appointment for something that was under warranty, they arranged for service at another dealership.

It didn't take us long to becomed attached to the 2010 Prius waiting for us there. Newby Larry Slotsema was an awesome salesperson who felt like a long lost friend. No pressure just friendly assistance and they even let me take the car overnight while I was thinking about it. Great service department that I hope we don't have to use, except when the oil needs changing in one year, all for a whopping $9.95!

A one hour job on my vehicle took 4 hours. I would not take my vehicle to this dealer again nor would i buy a vehicle from them. When the job was done the attendent said there's your truck out front have a nice day. Well they ruined my day. I will also give this information to Toyoa Company.

I have bought several cars from this dealership in the past, but when I was shopping for my Prius two years ago, the salesman told me I had to put money down to be on the waiting list. He then proceeded to try to talk me into the Scion, which was on the lot. His knowledge of the Prius was extremely limited. I drive to Crown Motors in Holland and purchased a Prius in the color I desired from a knowledgeable salesman, who found it on a lot in Indiana. No money to be on list. Immediate possession. When I needed the windsheer replaced recently, I was given a $900.00 quote for the Toyota part and installation at Grand Rapids Toyota. Hansen Collision did the work for under $500.00 using Toyota parts. Be very careful. Basic oil changes and routine maintenance can be fine, and these are nice guys. But the pricing structure is not in the customers' favor.

The salesman was very unprofessional and the only thing that saved the purchase was the manager that answered our answers completely and respectfully. The other person that was great was the financial person that explained the piles of paperwork very thoroughly. We have purchased 3 others cars from this dealership and after this very unprofessional experience we would not return nor recommend them. I can not say enough about how awful the sales person was! Very disappointed!!!

I traveled 100 miles + to purchase a new car from this dealership. It was worth it. Sean was great. I began my car shopping experience with an attitude of distrust and caution, but felt very different about the whole process after working with this dealership. I highly recommend them. They were recommended to me by someone in my home town.

I always find the customer service personal to be professional as well as proficient. The cost for oil change & multipoint inspections are very modest. They alert me, without high pressure selling, regarding minor issues with my vehicles. I continue to return for my Toyota maintenance.

I'm very pleased with my new 2012 Highlander Hybrid! I love it!! It rides great and gets great gas mileage. I have had it serviced since my purchase and was in and out of the dealership within the time frame they said my SUV would be ready. The staff was friendly and the technicians were very courteous. I will continue to have my car serviced at Toyota of Grand Rapids and whenever I decide to upgrade I will buy there again!
