I love how awesome the staff members are. I've only been there twice for an oil change and received quality service. They explained to me bit by bit about how my car was doing and what possibly may be the next auto-part to keep an eye on or calculating when my next service will be. They even come to me in the waiting room and show me the colors of my oils from my car. I learn so much every time I come in. They are really friendly, funny, and patient with me (being that I know absolutely nothing about cars) and I don't feel like I am being taken advantage of or feeling ripped off. I would recommend any Honda customer to go visit Tyler Honda in Stevensville. Welcoming atmosphere is exactly what you'll get and professionalism.

This is an extension of the old car dealer stigma. I was lied to, had totally incompetent service. They could no alighn the rear wheels on my Pilot. I destroyed 2 sets of tires before they gave up and sent me to an independent who was astonished at the level of ineptitude. They are a GM dealer in Niles and have ectended that greasy haired white belt ethos. Avoid at all costs !

I had several issues with my 10 year old Honda Pilot; an VSA warning light came on, missing a bolt on my rooftop carrier, check the battery and do an oil change. Easy to get an appointment, polite and friendly check-in, good communication on prices, updates on progress, and a final bill less than expected! The paperwork had a great inspection report so I know what will be needing work in the future. A bit of a wait but comfortable waiting room. Overall, quite happy. I browsed the new car floor where the salesman was friendly but let me look as I'm not ready for a new car yet.

I first took the vehicle to another dealer in St Joe. That Dealer did a very poor job or charged us and did not do what was asked or well. Honda found the same that I thought had been fixed. And Eric and Honda did the job correctly and it now does not have the noise not to mention I could of had a much bigger and dangerous issue. Thanks to Honda the Van is safe again.

Tyler Service Dept. replaced multiple recalled airbags and performed free safety inspections on my older vehicles. Great service and pleasant and helpful staff from the initial phone call to driving my older Hondas home. Not pushy about service or repairs I didn't ask for (I have a good mechanic in my hometown). Facility is spotless and customer friendly. I decided to purchase a new Honda here after comparing prices online and my positive experience with the service department. Excellent sales help and facilitating financing (even though I did not go through Honda for the loan). Love my new car and will definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family.

I came in mostly due to a possible oil-related recall (which they are taking care of). But I also had recently had a minor squealing noise. The noise had gone away, but I feared my CRV's belts were still an issue. Another service center might have used the opportunity to sell me unnecessary belt service. But Tyler Honda inspected matters & then reassured me the belts (& the car overall) were in good shape.

Normally I have had good luck here, but Friday was not a good day. It was an oil change, tire rotation, and then some CDs were jammed in the CD player. Over 3 hours later, they finally come out to say that oil change and tire rotation is complete, but they were not able to get any of the CDs out. Over 3 hours for an oil change and tire rotation and a failed attempt to remove CDs. I expect more from them.

After having a poor service center experience(in particular the service manager) in the past I hesitated to take our vehicle back to Tyler. However since the issue was very possibly an electrical system issue...fuel tank light flashing and not registering, our mechanic recommended I start there. When I received the 'here is what's wrong' phone call my understanding was that there were 2 wires that had been chewed on and needed to be replaced. On the side it was mentioned that the alternator seemed to be going as well. I understood that it was something that would need to be look at over the next week or two. When I went to pick up my vehicle so I could also pick up 3 additional 11 year old girls for my daughter's birthday get together the vehicle was barely drive-able. The unhelpful attitude of the service manager was incredible! When I explained that I was to be on my way to pick up these other children and his attitude was that he would only help me with a loaner vehicle if I would pay an additional $459 for the alternator work. I had just wrote a check for $320 for 2 wires...which we did not know if they were fixed or not since the vehicle ran worse than when I dropped it off! I refused to be bullied into a repair! Thankfully the GM stepped in to save the birthday and gave us a loaner so we could have the afternoon back and try to make an informed decision on additional repairs. After due diligence, many phone calls, attempted communication with service center at Tyler to see if they would match prices...we decided to pull our vehicle -- Had to have it TOWED out of their parking lot after this repair to pay someone else a reasonable amount for the additional repair. Now it is working fine and my vehicle will NOT return to Tyler!!

I had to call and schedule my free oil change and Wayne was so friendly,upbeat and helpful.He made sure to schedule as soon as I got off work so I could enjoy the rest my day. The day of service was just as great! He had a smile the whole time. Made me laugh and took great care of my car. the appointment was even shorten than the estimated time. In today's world it is not easy to find good customer service people. You can truly tell that he cares about people and enjoys his job! Wayne that's for being such a great guy!!

While my initial online contact with Tyler was not as good as it could be, I ended up working with Jaime V. at the dealership, and everything was spot on. He came up with a great deal for us, listened for our wants and needs, and filled every one of them. I usually have purchased Honda's in the past away from my home town, however now I can just go down the street to our new Honda Family. This dealership literally bent over backwards to meet our needs, especially considering that the car we were originally interested in was sold before we talked to Jaime. What a shock! My Odyssey needed new pistons and rings $$$$$. But, Honda to the rescue; they have extended my warranty to cover that exact problem. Repair covered. They (Wayne) was good enough to point out that my brakes needed service soon, and suggested I get it done while the van was in for major service. Better to find out now than on the road to who knows where. Fortunately Honda sent me a booklet of coupons to help pay for the service. Still lots of $$$$, but I end up with piece of mind that my wife (and I)can continue to trust her Honda. Good job, Wayne and company.

After days of research (1st time car buyer over here), I came into contact with Andy (Tyler Automotive) whom referred me to one of the most charismatic car salesmen I've encountered. Jaime at Tyler Honda was able to get me the greatest deal on a brand new 2016 Honda HR-V. Being from Chicago I wan't sure I'd ever find a car without the pressure of a salesperson. I ended up feeling more like family than a customer. I was able to drive my car off the show room. The customer service was over and above. Also I only had to wheel in deal for one day and was able to work out an unbeatable deal. The facilities are great along with the repair shop wished I lived closer for the free oil changes offered in house. As a 1st time car buyer the buying process couldn't be easier. We just bought a truck two weeks ago from Tyler Honda. TJ was great to work with. Within a week of driving the truck we noticed something wrong with the steering. We brought it in to our local mechanic because we live two hours away. The steering shaft needed to be replaced. We called Tyler Honda and they agreed to pay our mechanic for the repair (again because we live so far and could not drive the truck that far back to them). Eric responded to our phone call about the new HONDA Accord EXL Hybrid. He invited us to come test drive it, which we did, and he was ready for us when we arrived. He accompanied us on our test drive, pointing out new features and making us aware of how the Hybrid actually works. Even though we have previously owned and enjoyed MANY Hondas, Eric is the first salesperson that really seemed to care about US.....not just making a sale. He readily pursued locating the exact color vehicle we wanted, and notified us as soon as it had been located. When we went to actually purchase the car, Eric was extremely efficient, pleasant, and knowledgeable in all aspects. He spent a great deal of time with us going over all the new technology features and making sure we understood how they worked. I would HIGHLY recommend Eric to friends as a salesperson who truly cares for his customers. We will return to TYLER HONDA for service on our vehicle and we will certainly seek Eric for any future Honda purchases.

I have leased my last three cars from Tyler Honda and every time my experience working with them gets better. Each time I go to Tyler Honda I am welcomed and everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Since the first car that I leased I have worked with Eric. Eric works very hard to find exactly what you are looking for and he stays within the price range the customer is looking for. Eric does not push people into cars that they can't afford or like. He is knowledgeable about Honda vehicles and he takes time to explain everything in detail. Eric always follows up after a purchase with emails and/or phone calls to see how the vehicle is working out and to see if there is any other way he can be of help. I have always been able to reach Eric as needed. I have gone to other dealerships to compare prices and cars and I will never go to another dealership again. The last time I went to a big dealership they took my keys to look over the car and didn't return them until I repeatedly asked and told them I wasn't buying a car from them. That experience took 3 hours and all I felt was pressured. I told that dealer what my price range was and each time they came back with a price way out of range and each time I said, "no" they would come back with a different price. It was nothing like my experiences working with Tyler Honda and Eric. I would highly recommend Tyler Honda and working with Eric.

I had friends that bought with Tyler Honda, so we decided to go with them. I talked to T.J., a sales representative, and told him that I want to but from them, but that my husbands employer gave him a discount at their competitor Harold Zeigler in Kalamazoo, MI. I asked if he would price match. T.J. went to speak to his manager and returned saying, Go to Zeigler and see what price they give you. We will price match or beat the price. So I did exactly that and called T.J. to give him the price Zeigler gave me out the door; which was $30,000 after taxes for a 2014 Honda CRV Ex-l with Navigation. MSRP was at $31,250; only $1,250 below retail. I even provided an email to confirm the price. T.J. replies, after talking to his manager, We cannot match that price because it is too low. Its a good deal. I think Im going to buy 4 or 5 from them. This upset me so I called the manager Al Remick. I told him what was going on, which he already knew about, and told him that I didnt appreciate T.J. lying to me and that they wasted my time. Al responded by correcting me on T.J.s last name. I pronounced it correctly and said that my pronunciation was not the reason I was calling. He then said, The offer sounds suspicious and that I must have misunderstood the sales rep. on saying that they would price match. I fail to see how we wasted your time since you only drove to the business once. He also commented that he would buy 4 or 5 vehicles for his lot. This infuriated me even more and said that I was going to write a review and he responded by saying, I will tell them how you are.This is very poor customer service and I will let every person I come across not to buy from Tyler Honda in Stevensville MI.

Tyler had just moved to Stevensville so they got a brand new building. Infrastructure was really good, but that was it. I visited there several times and average delay to contact soebody was halp an hour. They gave me a car to do a test drive and I notice rear suspension was wierd. They claimed it was just a ground leveling issue. In the end, the car had lots of old manuals in the trunk. I chose another vehicle, we agreed on a selling price, had my auto loan done with the check and they delayed more than 2 weeks to deliver the vehicle. At the end, I cancelled the check and bought another vehicle from a dealer 35 miles away from my house (Tyler was 3 miles away). During these 2 weeks they were just giving me excuses after calling me to take the vehicle and bring the check. After third time, I decided to get another car. Honda should not accept this level of customer service for their authorized dealers. I'll never come back there and will make sure all my friends in the region are aware of their poor service.

We went over everything with the car, how things were previously handled, and what they were willing to do to make a deal. I appreciate the time they took to have me come back and continue to work on a potential deal for the car. They did not have to do this, but I appreciate what they did to make things right.

Not the place you would want to but a used car from. Before finalizing the details of the purchase, I took the used car to a mechanic to make sure nothing was wrong with the car. The mechanic found a few minor things and gave me a report noting what they were. I took this back to Tyler and they declaring these were not issues with the car and that I was wrong. They mentioned that if there were issues that the car was under warranty and could be fixed but they said were not willing to take the car themselves to get it fixed. They gave me the car to drive with the gas light on and a rear taillight out. Once we were discussing the issues of the car, three people came out to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the car and the place I took it to could not be trusted. I am sorry but this was horrible customer service all around and I would never recommend buying a car from them if this is how they treat customers. The worst experience I have ever had.

THE IS MY SECOND TIME USING THEM FIRST TIME I WAS ALSO IMPRESSED BUT BLOWN AWAY THIS TIME I called them when my car broke down at a local hospital they sent a tow truck and had my car to their shop with in hours and covered the two bill till the repairs were done.. my repairs were way worse then what i had thought!!! (i am a gear head so there is no chance of pulling one on me) they even let me look and check and confirm the problem. The service department person I worked with was Chris ( you could not ask for a better person) due to the cost of the repairs and other work I asked the service department to speak to management to set up a service plan for payment (car stayed on lot of course more then fair and i put money down) I was longer then agreed on payment arrangements made. when i picked up the car the amount did not change or no interest was added. (if they did and interest or service fee It would have still been fair) I have had the care for a few month now and it has worked as it should.. They fixed it so well i do not need a new Honda for a while but this will be the "ONLY" place i will buy one...

We communicated with this dealership for a couple of weeks regarding a used vehicle before making the nearly 2 hour trip. When we arrived to test drive the vehicle, it became clear that the prior owner had smoked in the vehicle. When we asked the question, the dealership quickly denied it, yet they immediately sprayed a deodorizer and left the doors open while we completed our negotiation and signed the paperwork. While communicating online, the salesman also offered a full tank of gas (which I always thought was a given, anyway) and added, "we'll even buy you lunch for making the trip". After we actually made the trip, however, the service level quickly declined. When we completed our negotiation, our salesman told us it would be a 30 minute wait to sign the paperwork. That 30-minute-wait actually turned into more than 90 minutes. No lunch, no gas tank fill-up while we waited; just the doors left open on our Flex the entire time to air out the vehicle and mask the smell. A couple days later, I emailed the salesperson to express my displeasure that our tank wasn't filled (we left with about a 1/4 tank) and to let him know that the smell was still in the vehicle. I asked him to send us a gas card to fulfill his promise. I haven't heard from him since. I've also emailed the general manager, as well as the internet sales manager regarding this ~ no response. Oh, they emailed us coupons to come and shop their President's Day sale (just a few days after we bought our Flex). It was obvious to us that this dealership is more interested in making the sale, rather than satisfying the customer. This is not an honest dealership. Sadly for them, we will be in the market for another vehicle in the next 6-9 months, but we will look elsewhere.... and we will warn all of our friends, as well.

Just a follow up: I went in two days ago to have my lumbar support "looked at". This is what the corporate office arranged after speaking with them regarding my previous experience with Chris Tyler. While there I asked to speak with Chris Tyler after the horrible phone call I had with him 2 weeks ago. I thought that maybe if he put a face with a name, he might realize that customers on the phone are people too and not be quite so abrasive the next time he dealt with someone on the phone. I thought that possibly, we could correct the situation with brief talk and simple apology. I had my 2 young children with me. The whole conversation lasted roughly 3 minutes of him yelling nonstop at me and interrupting me every time I tried to speak. I was shocked an appalled. At the very end, after I wasn't able to say a single thing because he kept railroading me every time I tried to talk, I was at least able to ask if he treated all of his customers this way, to which he replied, "All the mean ones!" and turned and stalked back into his office content with having completely insulted and humiliated a customer! He brought me to tears in front of my kids. The other employee who was there heard the whole conversation and so I asked, "Did I do anything to bring this about?" He replied, "No." and thought Chris Tyler's treatment was unprofessional and extremely rude but couldn't do anything because Chris Tyler was the owner and could treat people however he wanted. Chris Tyler had the opportunity to fix the problem simply by being courteous and offering a simple apology for screaming and insulting me on the phone previously. Instead, he chose to make matters worse by continuing his course of action by trying to publicly humiliate and taunt me in front of his staff and my own children. Chris Tyler is not the kind of person I want to support financially, so I am choosing to never enter his dealership in Stevensville, MI again. If I ever buy Honda again, and that is a huge if after the treatment I received from the owner of a Honda dealership, I will drive several hours to avoid giving him my $45K that I will spend on my next car. I have always been a loyal Honda customer and had already spoken with a sales representative several weeks ago (prior to this whole experience) regarding purchasing a brand new 2013 Honda Odyssey Touring and we were planning to purchase it in the beginning of the new year. Now we are researching our options for a similar vehicle due solely to the fact that Chris Tyler is a greedy, insulting, arrogant, hot-tempered, and abusive owner. Is he the kind of dealer you want to support?

My mother went to try a key to see if she won a car (sales gimmick! Had a car with a payment of $120 a mo. she is 70 year old diabetic , and on a fix income. She said it would be nice to buy a car but payments couldn't be over $200 a month. This was late afternoon Thursday and if anyone knows a diabetic they become lathargic, confused or more impressionable the later in the day. they talked her into a ford fiest with just the basic package for a finance amount of just over $25,000.00! The next morning we call and said she cant do $350 payments thats a 1/3 of her income. they said they would help and call back in 1 hour. They didn't We called again and left voice message at 4:30 no return call friday. Saturday contacted bank they said loan has not been processed yet so all the dealership has to do is tear up the contract. Went to dealership They said they are in the business of making money! And they will not void the contract. And made light of her diabetic condition. Which I told him a medical condition is nothing to even make light of, and if he knew someone with diabetes he would of never done that! Thats when the general manager walked up said he heard everything, and told us to leave. I asked them both if making money was more important then doing the right thing? There answer was YES! They should be ashamed to sentance a 70 year old diabetic widower, on a fixed income to live on less then $800 a month for the next 7 years!

I went in and bought a used truck. Within 24 hours the check engine light came on. I had it cleared at an auto body shop. They told me that the oxygen sensors were going bad and that the catalytic converter was bad. I took it back and they stated it was something that I must have done but that they would replace the oxygen sensors and that that should fix the check engine light. After about a week the engine light came back on and this time it was the converter. I called and they stated that they would not replace the converter. This all happened with 2 weeks of getting the truck but would you put your family in a truck that could break down at anytime? Not only was this the case but also I asked the sales person if this was a smokers truck, they stated no. After a week, I started to get numbness in my fingers. I went to the doctor and was surprised to find out it was because of smokers tar that had built up on the steering wheel. Even more money out my pocket to clean the truck.

We told them about the problem and they serviced the transmission twice within a month to make sure it was trip ready for us. The buying process was fine until we went into the finance manager's office. After fighting to have him remove the extended warranty they snuck in an etching fee. Due to the way the contract was written (no itemizations) I didn't realize the fee was added until I was home and got out my calculator. My mistake. But I put up with the crap to get a good vehicle so overall I'm happy. The salesperson was young and honest, can't say as much about the rest of the crew. A shame because I have bought at Tyler's in Niles a few times and they were always honest. I would recommend this dealer if and only if you review the paperwork in detail before signing. I requested a copy of the purchase agreement and never received it.

I am a very picky person, and never thought that I could find a salesperson as patient and accomodating as her. I spent almost a week bouncing back and forth between dealerships, before I finally purchased from Tyler's. The experience I had with them is unparallel to any other. Amanda and the finance manager, Joe Guzman, made my car shopping experience much less scarier than I anticipated it would be. I just took my Camry in for service and couldn't be more pleased with my experience. After indicating that they were new, the Service Manager Chris and his Assistant Eric did a great job. I usually go to Signature down the road because I do have a Toyota, but after receiving a ridiculous quote I had to shop around. I took the estimate in and Eric had Signature beat by $175 for the SAME work! The waiting area was full but I had an oil change, tires rotated, back lights replaced, and my muffler patched in less than two hours. These guys may be new to the dealership's service area, but they did a fantastic job! They also were really great with explaining to me what needed to be done, their process and how they charged. I feel like I'm rambling but I can't say enough. I would highly recommend these guys.

I did my research nonlinear, but when I walked into their show room there was a sales rep that showed me the inside and out of the car. He showed me features that I didn't even know existed. The dealership however, is pretty open and does not have an extremely large selection of cars. Overall the entire process was as painless as car buying can be.

Took our 2006 Honda Odyssey (55k mi) in to Tyler in 12/2011 to address a power steering problem that was also under recall from Honda. Initially was told when scheduling the appointment that the recall service could be performed within 2 hours, so I planned on waiting for my car.Upon arriving they indicated they would get right to the vehicle but didn't get started on it until over an hour later. Upon looking at the vehicle, the tech came up and confirmed the problem... only to have the service manager correct him on the spot and claim the problem was caused by dirty power steering fluid, thus not covered under the recall. He then proceeded to start working up a several hundred dollar estimate for service (not including the power steering pump) before I left after 2.5 hours and no work performed. He even tried to insist the work needed to be done right then due to how unsafe the steering was at the time.Afterwards (at another facility), the power steer problem confirmed was well documented and covered by the recall, applied to my vehicle, and completed the repair in approx 1 hour with no additional charges.

I've been to Lake Michigan Honda twice for oil changes and tire rotations. They did change the oil! However, they have a problem with not rotating the tires and then charging you for it... I have a four year maintenance degree in aviation and mark my tires to make sure that the rotation is done properly. The first time I overheard the mechanic tell the service manager that the tires did not require rotation. When I ask for something to be done I expect it to be accomplished especially if I am the one paying for it. Well, Lake Michigan Honda charged me for not doing it anyway. The second time they balanced the front right tire and once again failed to rotate them, but again they charged me for service never done. They are dishonest and devious in their dealings with consumers. I bought my civic from O'Hare Honda, well worth the drive. I now have my car serviced by Bosak in Michigan City.. Consumer beware, they are a bunch of arrogant crooks!Jay

I called to make an appointment for an oil change today (called at 4:38 PM on 4/12/10). The person who answered the phone in the Service Department responded by very quickly rattling off business hours and I believe the hours that customers are to call to make an apointment. I did not quite understand what he said and made him aware of this. He then repeated like a robot the same thing. Again I didn't understand what he was saying. Finally I plainly asked if I could get my car in tonight or not and he responded "no, we're closed". One would expect at minimum an effort to ensure customers understood what was said and/or an effort to get them in the next day. Even though I have a coupon for Lake Michigan Honda I'll be taking my car to Midas. Appearantly this dealership is overburdoned with business and does not have time to take phone calls to help customers understand the process of getting a car in for an oil change.

Being close to Chicago, 120 miles, I was inclined more towards the Chicago dealers for the obvious reasons of many dealerships and high sale volumes which would help me in getting a better deal. I dealt with John Parish who was friendly, professional, and honest.
