After a TEDIOUS, 2 month search to purchase a Mini Cooper…I arrived at Valley Auto Sales, on Valley Street in South Orange, New Jersey! Upon introductions, the owner, Alan, greeted me…with a WARM and GENUINE smile!, Alan’s distinctive CHARACTER…displayed HUMBLE, KIND and HONEST QUALITIES! Alan, undoubtedly created, a UNIQUE and EXTRAORDINARY…level of COMFORT…I NEVER thought…COULD or WOULD exist, during my very FIRST “USED CAR SHOPPING” experience!!! Test drove a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Limited & everything was fine until I noticed there wasn’t a rear view camera. He told me it was because the car radio was after market ( understandable ) he told me the breaks was fine but when I started driving it I noticed a problem. I brought all of this to his attention & he tells me “ I tell all my customers the same thing, if you come to a used car lot being picky to go buy a new one “ he seems nice at first but once you start having doubts he turns into a different person. I would never recommend this place to anyone ! Take your money else where !

Small dealership makes the most of his space with some nice cars, (mercedes, cadillac, lincoln, etc.). I worked with Andre and the owner, Alan. The communication was excellent by phone and email. Alan let me take a long test drive, he wanted to make sure I really liked the car. Then he gave me a great deal!! Its worth the trip to Valley Auto. Alan is a nice, honest guy and knows his cars.

Just got a Audi A3 from this dealer it is in great condition and it was priced great. All cars on the lot are in great conditions and the prices are very affordable. Definitely the place to go for great cars at great great prices with great service

Bought my 1 owner 94 Mercedes in 2006 and I still have it now...it rides like new....got the best deal ever. I even shipped this car overseas and it is still running great- only minimum repairs. My sister also got a reliable Jeep and has had it since 2006...she was well satisfied....I must honestly say that I truly love the quality and prices of their used cars. I'm ready to bring mom to pick one out :)

Like my title, these guys are very straightforward about the vehicles they are offering. This is not your bright and shiny new car dealership- they sell used cars and that's it. They don't guarantee their sales, not even for 30 days, but they offer a warranty for purchase. There were a few annoying things: the mileage was higher than the ad by almost 1k mi., a tire repair (that they said they were going to do before I came to pick it up) didn't happen, and my salesman seemed a little unknowledgeable about the out-of-state registration process which held things up for me back home. However, these wee hangups were handled professionally and quickly, and the owner was always reachable for resolution, which really goes against the used car salesman stereotype. Bottom line, these are good guys who mean well and almost always do what they say they're going to do, they had work receipts and made every effort to reassure me of my purchase. I never felt pressured to buy. I got the machine I wanted, which I love, at a fair price from a genuinely nice guy. If they have the next car I want, I'd definitely go back.

Not sure what traffic has to do with this dealership in terms of buying a used car. Unlike the previous reviewer i found my trip worth every penny, and found the dealer to be very honest and patient. I traveled 5 hours from Massachusetts to look at a 2008 Mercedes C-Class. I was also told by the dealer that it was worth taking a trip for, and as a serious buyer, I was happy to make the trip because of some of the upgrades this particular car had. Upon arrival I was trilled to find the car in better than described condition. My wife and I drove the car home the next day. Would come back again.

Car was not as described to me on phone salesman told me it was worth the drive guess what it wasn't The car should be sent to the junk yard it was a cadillac dts I should have figured it was junk when his pictures he posted were all taken under a shady tree (shady guy)

We had the best experience ever!!! They were so helpful and to the point. They made us feel at ease and we were in and out in an hour!with our 2003 Mercedes in tow. I am thrilled to see Valley Auto Sales on cars.com! This is a medium sized car dealership close to Seton Hall, and South Orange Ave in South Orange. I am a previous customer and hands down have not found better customer service anywhere else. The salesmen here are genuinely caring and pay special detail to customers specific request. You will never feel like you are getting 'the run around' here. I am looking to buy another used car and am thrilled to see there quality inventory here online. My previous car was purchased 3 years ago and I have no complaints. My salesman at the time understood I was looking for a reliable car for my large family that had all the perks and thrills of a newer car, and on a budget.
