When I went to Varney's I had 9 months left on my lease with a Honda Civic. I went with the purpose of exploring some options and seeing what I liked. While I was there, Jared helped me to find a and test drive the GMC Terrain and Mazda CX-5. I drove the terrain first and my search was over. I absolutely fell in love with my terrain, it is a very confront able and smooth ride. Each time I drive my terrain I fall in love with it even more. I feel much safer with an SUV in the upcoming winter. My experience with Varney's was amazing- I had money left to lay on my old lease and was still able to lease my terrain at an extremely reasonable price. My salesman Jared made what could have been a very stressful experience one of the best I've ever had. Thank you Varney's and thank you Jared for my awesome terrain, you guys rock!

I had the pleasure of dealing with Jared when deciding on my new truck. He asked me what I was looking for in a truck and found a GMC Sierra that fit my needs perfectly. When I told him that I was still going to shop around and look at other dealers and brands, he invited me to come back to the dealership on a test drive and compare the two vehicles side by side, and bring the other salesman if they wanted. After shopping around at countless dealerships, nobody could touch Varney's offer or service. Their no pressure sales approach truly made it enjoyable to lease my new truck. I was very happy to find a sales person (Tim Hogan) that was able to meet my needs in a very short period of time. His willingness to meet those needs exceeded my expectations. My complete transaction from start to finish, included three gentlemen: the first being Tim Hogan, the second being a gentleman by the first name of Dean and the final person being the gentleman who did the financial paperwork and his last name is Morneau. The people behind the counter were great. The people who put the mud flaps on did a good job on them. The only issue I had is when I got my truck back the drivers door was covered in dirt. And there was grease on the passenger side front right behind the mudflap. I know that mechanics have a dirty job to do, but if you get something dirty clean it.

Upon our arrival we were looking for the previous salesman we had dealt with and were told he was no longer there, so we sat down with Dave Warme and told him what we were looking for, we took a test drive, came back and he explained our different options (lease or buy) and he went over all the details so we understood, he found the vehicle we wanted and offered to deliver it in two days to our home 120 miles away, we chose to drive down with our Terrain that we were trading, the financial end was taken care in a very short period of time, Dave showed us all the bells & whistles and syncing of our phones were done. We drove off the lot knowing we had made the right choice. We love the Acadia and Varneys and the staff were all great. The sales manager Neil was very helpful and welcoming as well.

My car would not start. I called on a Thursday to get an appointment because I cannot be without a car as I am a caretaker for an elderly person. The service person told me they were completely swamped both Thursday and Friday but to come in and they would do their best to accommodate me. They fit me in and within no time I was on my way with a new battery. They also wanted to do a full computer scan to ensure that it wasn't just the battery malfunctioning. When I left Varney's I felt secure that my car would start when I needed it.And as always, the service representatives were fantastic!

The actual experience was great. Nice friendly staff.The only issue that I have is with the condition of the vehicle. It had many scratches on it (hood, side, and within the door as well as on the steering wheel and middle tray) which needed to be buffed out. The tray is to be replaced. Not sure what the long-term impact on the quality of the vehicle's appearance is going to be. Any additional work on the vehicle is usually not up to par with the out of the factory results!!! Beautifull vehicle - nice ride - good gas mileage.

It was a great experience in your Sales and Service Departments but I have one suggestion for improvement. I had 2 recalls done on our 2014 GMC Sierra truck. After the recall work was done someone was emailing me insisting that I had not brought in the truck to have the recalls done. It turned out that the completed recall work was not yet posted on the GM Website. They entered the mileage for the service call incorrectly after having asked me they entered a number less than what I told them and less than my most recent fuel stop.Also I mentioned by dislike for Onstar and suggested that it be removed and that Sales people come to an understanding that all customers may not appreciate having it. Oil change, tire rotation, point check: 1.25 hr, tires were over filled to 34 when the manual says 32, mechanic was unable to get documents to print. I'd also mentioned that my car seems to be having shifting problems, usually down shifts too early at 29mph and then it hesitates and whines out after a slight steep incline going to flat. I felt like the mechanic didn't listen and was embarrassed when he asked another mechanic to go for a ride with me to see if the car would shift funny. Overall not that great of an experience, missed my sons birthday because I was told it would take 30 min... could have at least washed off my new car after a wait like that. ;o)

I brough my 2012 Buick Lacrosse in because it was running poorly. Your Service Representative, John Banasiak, handled my problem. We found it to be robent damage, which required numerous parts. This most recent experience was great however in the fall last year I was in for brake pads, I asked to be called if anything else was found. Mr Schenk authorized new rotors without calling me. When I arrived he told me about the rotors. When I asked why I wasn't called he said,"we'll I'm sorry but you needed them". I did not have the money that day and was very upset about not receiving a call. I thought he was very rude and interestingly enough, I never received a call or a survey after that experience. That was the worst experience I have had there and I did take my business elsewhere for some work. Otherwise the other staff have always been helpful and courteous. John is wonderful to deal with. My car was in the garage all night and in the morning, when I took it and was driving, it was not melting the snow on the rear defog correctly. Only the center of the window was melted so I had to roll down my window to back out. I called the dealership and told them I was coming in but only had a few minutes before class. The service guy was waiting outside waiting for me. I got out, handed him my keys and he said it would be ready to pick up after my class. I picked it up right on time. Very smooth. They said my defog was functioning like the other 2014 Regals they had on the lot so there was no solution to the problem.

We were unable to get a baby sitter last minute because of the weather. The waiting room was a great place to let kids play and watch TV. Also Katie was more accommodating that we could have even hoped for. She mad my 3 year old sons experience one he still talks about a week later. Service department was backed up. I tried to make an appointment for lube and rotation for later in the day; but they gave me a loaner and sent me to do my shopping and called when it was done. That's how service should be done !!!

Our buying experience was a pleasant surprise. Our sales person, Joe Cyr, was able to find exactly what we were looking for. Joe when above and beyond for us, making arrangements to have us picked up at the bus station and taken to the dealership. When we arrived at the dealership we were greeted in a very friendly manner and we could see everything was ready and available for us, just as promised. It was a great pleasure doing business with Varney. We would recommend them to anybody. Thank you.

Jeff S. was easy to work with in service. He loaned us a suv to use while our truck was being worked on. Being that it was just prior to Christmas it was extremely helpful. Our extended warranty was a bit confusing but was quickly straightened out by the nice man in financing. Thanks for all your help in making our transaction so much easier.

Needed an oil change, so dropped in as we were in the area. We live in Enfield about 45 minutes away. We were able to have it serviced and only had to wait about an hour. Your service is always wonderful!

Taken in timely and treated very fairly by service department. I bought my first Varney vehicle in 2007 and have bought 2 more since because the service department doesn't try to sell me unneeded repairs like they do across the street.

My first contact when I had an engine problem was John in the service dept. Without any prior contact from me, he took my truck right in to see what the problem was....really appreciate that. Also talked with Larry and Mac out front, and then talked with owner Rick Varney.....all 3 expressed their concern, and gave me the "time of day." Just outstanding folks. Great service as usual. Extremely efficient, courteous, friendly and they get the job done in no time at all. I was in the showroom looking at new Buicks when my car was finished and they came in and found me to tell me the car was ready to go. Lots of places would just let you come back to the service dept. when you get ready. I appreciate their customer service. I believe the man's name was Mike Bamford. But you know they are all very, very good to do business with. I have never met anyone that was not courteous, efficient and great to do business with in that service dept. Keep up the good work! I was able to drop my vehicle of in the morning before going to work and was able to pick it up at the end of the day when I was free to get it. Service department was very helpful with making sure all of the items that needed to be checked were and gave me information about my service plan and what it included.

the work, oil change, tire rotation, and installation of a remote starter was done well. my only complaint was the length of time it took to complete the work. 31/2 hrs. instead of the quoted time of 1 1/2 hrs.

I purchased my 2013 GMC Sierra at Varney GMC in November of 2012; my sales associate was Kate Mairhuber who provided me with outstanding customer service. Not only did she find the exact vehicle I was looking for, her knowledge of the vehicle was impecable. There was not a question or an item on the truck that she was not able to provide me with an explanation or an answer to. A recent visit to the service center reinforced my decision to purchase my vehicle from Varney GMC In Bangor. The service staff at Varney GMC was friendly and helpful; they serviced my vehicle quickly and was able to provide quick informative answers to all my questions. I will purchase my next vehicle from Varney GMC (hopefully from Katie Mairhuber) and would recommend them to all my friends and family.

I don't think the buying public ever really knows how they did when trading vehicles, however, when all was said and done, everyone was still smiling and I thought I was used well. I guess that's a sign of a good deal all around.
