I got some new tires and a driver's side airbag safety recall service done yesterday. It only took a couple hours, and they offered me a loaner so that I didn't have to wait or get a ride. The tires seem to be fine, and its a relief to know that the airbag has been replaced. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and the friendly people.

They did a wonderful job taking care of the mechanical needs of the vehicle. They were thorough in their mechanical check up. They did a wonderful job cleaning the outside area of the car. When it came to cleaning the inside they did an over all good job but they did forget a few areas which was a little dissapointing considering the cist of the service but still good job.

I brought my 2011 Honda CRV in for the air bag recall. Bill Heir did a great job of getting the car in, diagnosing any other problems. He told me what it was going to cost and estimated time. I had to borrow a loaner car for the weekend. It was great! I got an text message saying my car was done. Bill went over the work that was done and the expenses line by line.I appreciate all the work the Vern Edie Honda employees do. Thanks Again!

Recently brought in my newly purchased 2008 Honda Accord to get the VTC actuator replaced. It was quoted to me at another dealership (the one I purchased it from) for over $250 more than what Vern Eide quoted me. I also had to get a new key fob done as well as oil change. While there, they took care of the open recalls out on the vehicle as well. Upon checkout, I used a $2 email coupon for the oil change. Not much, but any bit helped on a fairly large repair bill. While doing that, the receptionist put on an internet coupon code for $50 off $500 or more repair. When finished, they arranged for me to be picked up and my entire bill was less than the other dealerships quote for the VTC actuator alone. I spoke with about three different people throughout the scheduling of maintenance and check out procedure, and everyone of them was kind and courteous. Overall, great experience.

New customer, just moved to area. Made service appointment on-line and received quick email response confirming appointment. Arrived at specified time and met by service advisor Matt upon entering service area. He quickly took all my information as a new customer and what services I needed (oil & filter change, differential fluid change, tire rotation & Honda software service update.) He informed me that the work would take 1 hour 40 minutes to complete and that I could wait in the customer waiting lounge and enjoy the coffee or soft drinks and cookies. The lounge is nicely furnished with all the comforts: tables & chairs, easy chairs & end tables, TV's, reading materials, assorted coffees, several soft drinks, assorted cookies, an ATM and play area for children. One hour & 45 minutes later, Matt returned with my paperwork, explained the work that was performed and that everything looked good. My first visit here was enjoyable and all the employees I either dealt with or saw working here were very efficient and professional at all times.

Vern Eide is a great garage, but also very customer service oriented. I have brought my Hondas here for many years and can truly say that I've never had a complaint. The shuttle service is prompt with great drivers in a nice, clean vehicle; the waiting area is comfortable. I appreciate that I have never had an issue with the work done on my car nor gotten a larger than discussed bill. I also find it a good sign that I recognize a lot of the service staff as they have been with the company for some time; I feel well taken care of.

We have been purchasing cars from Vern Eide for over 20 years. Until recently we have been very happy with our service but the last few times we have noticed a definite drop in the quality of customer service. I was told it would take an hour for an oil change and it took closer to an hour and a half. The last few times we have had service the times have seemed lengthy. Tim was friendly and courteous but I feel he could gave advised me that it was taking a little longer than expected. I don't entirely blame him for this less than pleasant experience. Perhaps you need to to look at more staffing in your service dept.During my wait, I also observed that your cashier was not very friendly with customers and when they asked her questions, she acted rather annoyed and rude with her answers. Again, my experience with Vern Eide has been very good in the past and I don't plan to quit doing business with you but I know you can do better than this.

We have been getting our 2008 CRV serviced at Vern Eide for the past 3 years. When we make an appointment for service the service tech estimates when the job will be done and it has always been ready when they say it will be. They have a very nice waiting area with free snacks and drinks for the shorter waits or they will provide a ride for those who can't wait. I left my doctors office and found a tire alert on my Civic. I went right to Vern Eide and they took me in without any appointment. Since it would be a while to check out the problem, they arranged for a ride home for me. After I got home I realized I did not have my purse and called Vern Eide. They were very very helpful., They went right out to the van, found my purse, brought it in to the receptionist and called me back right away. A day that started out not so good, turned out great! A few weeks ago I took my vehicle in for something routine. The service person was alittle rude and pre-occupied. He made me wait by my car. I gave a not so nice review. Just so happens I had to come back for a recall and I received same service person. He was so amazing. Helpful and attentive. I asked to have a ride at 8:30 AM. I showed up at 8:15 AM. I did not get picked up until 9:05 PM was delivered to my office at 9:30 AM which was one half hour after I was scheduled to be there for a client. There needs to be better organize Seshan. None of the people I rode with what you're going to work that I know of and all reported after me. Lastly I had to bring up the free set of tires to the service representative because he knew nothing about it as and I had been advised the last time. That's $700 and new tires I was very disappointed that I had to bring it up when it was brought up to me by you in the first place.

I have always been satisfied with the service at Vern Eide until this time. Matt, I believe informedme that your volume of service is doing well at this time. I have a prepd. service plan with my 2016 Honda CRV and so had my oil changed and my tires rotated. I also now have a low sensor light that is on and my tires are only at 32 # of pressure. I have checked them twice and they should be 33#.

Arrived at the service garage on a Saturday 45 minutes before closing (thought they closed at 6:00 pm not 5:00). The service representative was courteous, positive, and very upbeat. All we needed was an oil change and the usual inspection that goes along with that service. Thirty minutes later, the car was ready to go. The technicians performed an efficient and thorough inspection even near the end of their day. We were very appreciative of the expedience and efficiency of the entire staff!

When I got to Vern Eide service department today 7/30/16. The sevice person that I accosted was preoccupied and in a impolite matter told me to wait by my car. The shop didn't appear busy once he came over and found out my situation was a quick easy fix his attitude changed completely. He was much more polite and pleasant.

called for appt. because 15,000 mile service takes approximately 3 hours, employee on phone very patient. Got ride to mall called for ride back to dealer early. Driver very personable and prompt. After service finished, service writer explained what was done and explained he moved car out front, locked and left A/C on so would be cool when we got to it on this 92 degree day.

I emailed Jesse asking if he could help us buy out the lease on our 2014 Honda Accord as well as work with us to buy a newer truck. We set up time to meet with Jesse and wound up spending 6 hours with him, driving to various Vern Eide locations in Sioux Falls to test drive trucks. We were able to complete both transactions the same day. Never once did we feel like we were wasting his time or pressured to make a hasty decision to buy something. Buying a vehicle can be gruesome and intimidating - not this time! In fact, we actually had fun! Spilled soda on the showroom floor and all. :) This is 3rd time we have done business with Vern Eide, and will continue to come back. Jesse made our experience something we would look forward to doing again in the future. Hands down, he is THE BEST sales person I have ever worked with when purchasing a vehicle! We will recommend Jesse and Vern Eide to friends and family!

I've been using Vern Eide service for over 4 years and 2 different vehicles. Used to be the service was fast and efficient. Apparently they are getting too busy to schedule the service appointments and have outsourced to a 3rd party. Just the process of getting a service appointment scheduled was a nightmare....on hold for 15 minutes before transferred to a real person, then being interrogated by someone who obviously had no clue about Vern Eide. She then proceeded to schedule me for a 2:30pm drop off for a 30,000 mile inspection that usually takes over half a day, even after me inquiring if that would allow enough time. Needless to say the service rep wasn't the happiest when I showed up at 2:30 for a service that he wouldn't have enough time for. My car wasn't finished until 6pm, which at that time I no longer had a way to get back and pick it up so it had to sit there overnight. Then when I came back to pick it up they had a hard time getting a service rep back to explain the service and charges to me. For a $430 service to a vehicle that is less than a year old I think I deserve to have some details explained to me. Oh and I was told by my sales rep when I bought the car, I would get a complimentary car wash with the big services, which had never happened.

After only having my car for a day I noticed front end shaking. I called my sales Lady and she said call Monday to get it in. I made the appointment for that Friday. I was told that it should only be approximately half a day to fix. So I made the appointment at 11 and arrived about 10:45. I stood and waited at service for 15 minutes before I was even talk to. Then it took another 15 minutes to sign in the vehicle get the loaner car I had asked for. When I called at 3:40 (had to page service 3 xs before anyone answered) they told me it was still going to be another hour and a half. I was told by one of the workers which is a friend of mine that they didn't get the vehicle in right away because service stated I was rude. Which is a bad reason not to fix a vehicle when an appointment was made for a week ahead of time, and knowing I had 3 little kids in tow. I would not have been rude if somebody would have helped me as soon as I pulled my vehicle into the service area. And when I pulled my vehicle into the service area right away there was four men sitting behind your computer and look straight at me none of them asking to help me what I needed nothing they looked at me. Then they called around 5:30 to say it was finished and then I could come pick it up. My sales woman is amazing. The front end women are great. Finance/leasing amazing as well. The men in service we're a totally different subject.

Hey this used to be the best in the Midwest. Now you wouldn't want to buy here unless you know where you can get decent service elsewhere. I have bought a couple of new vehicles here, but have had about enough. A month or so ago I stopped by with a tire pressure light on, appr. two hours later they showed me the carpet tack that was causing the problem. Last week I stopped for 55000 mile service, basic oil, filter change and tire rotation. Close to two hours later I see my car going on to the rack, One guy grabbing the oil drop pan and the other starting on the tires.. At that time I asked for the service manager, forget it unless you want to know that the dealership has not enough space to do the job correctly. Took my car in for the 45,000 mile oil change (forgot that I needed to do other things as well) and my car was done quickley! Not only that..... I had driven over 1,400 miles and had not cleaned any of the bugs off my car. When they were done not only was my oil changed but the bugs were gone! That is service!!

We live 100 miles from Sioux Falls but agreed to Vern Eide's 7-7-7 service plan when we purchased a 2013 CR-V. Yesterday we brought in the CR-V for an oil change/tire rotation. Everything was handled well, although the service took a little longer than expected. It was not an issue, however, and the waiting area is very comfortable. We've had our vehicle a year now and have had no problems with Vern Eide

I was very upset when I went in to get my air conditioning fixed in my car this week and it worked for about 10 minutes after I left and is now not working again. I hate spending my hard earned money on fixing something and then its not fixed. This is especially frustrating due to the fact I'm pregnant and it is very hot outside.

I called from Pierre and made an appointment to diagnose a drip from my CRV, and after a brief inspection learned that at the time of my last oil change (not at a Honda dealership) the crankcase plug wasn't sufficiently tightened and was the source of my driveway drips. I was given a loaner vehicle to run a couple errands in and an hour later I was on my way home, all at no charge. I value such wonderful service. Kudos to Vern Eide Honda !!!

I am unsure of who it was but the employee that worked with us when bringing our car in for a recall, was very rude. His attitude towards us was snobby. We asked for a rental car beings it would take some time and we were charged and given a 2-door car. It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have a baby and a car seat to cram in the small back seat. I was very dissatisfied with how we were treated and also with the 2-door rental car that we received especially when we had to pay for it.

Our oil change was done fast and efficiently, however all the settings are messed up. We had it last time when the settings registered KM instead of mph. This time we can not see the settings. Guess we will have to take it in again. We have read the manual and it is a mystery as to what happened.

I had just had my oil changed at at my Honda dealership in Tennessee. After arriving in Sioux Falls I noticed a spot under my car. I brought it to Vern Eide and they kindly and quickly checked it for me. The drain plug was loose. It was fixed and the oil level checked. And I was on my way with no charge at all.

We learned that the old air bag in our CR-V was a risk and recalled for replacement. With a minimum of hassle, we were given a "loaner" to use while our vehicle waited at Vern Eide for the new part. I called to find out the service times and the call volume for recalls had me on a wait list that eventually went to voice mail. My call was returned by a service mgr between a half hour and an hour. The service mgr stated the times for service and for 'express service' for oil change, rotations and tire repairs. I entered the service bay (5:15 pm). I got out of the vehicle and was greeted in less than one minute by a young fella that didn't give his name after he asked for mine. I didn't recognize him as being in the bay when I entered. Other service agents were at the service desks but I wasn't acknowledged by them. They didn't say 'hello' or "Express service will be with you very soon". Once in, the tire repair was quick and the young man nicely handed me the culprit for the problem (a screw) and the billing. He walked me to cashier, told me where my vehicle was parked and he said "Thank you". This is our 1st Honda and has less than 350 miles. The vehicle has the paper license in the windows. I give an average rating. I had higher expectations and feel I would get the same service from a local repair or service center. Maybe the blue jeans the shirt that looked like I was with a towing company didn't allow me to look like a Honda owner.

In the past after pulling into the garage for service, someone always greeted you as soon as you got out of your car or even met you at your car before you even opened the door. The last couple times when getting our cars serviced I have gotten out of the car and stood there with no one so much as acknowledging me. The last time there were four people sitting right at their desks(not on the phone) and no one else was in the garage at the time getting serviced. It truly was uncomfortable and disappointing. We have purchased 5 vehicles from Vern Eide, and come from an hour away. The last two years the customer service in the service department has really changed from when we first started going to Vern Eide.

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Service manager explained already had the rotation last time so not needed. The service manager approached me again later showing the engine filter was very dirty w/ bugs in it(so agreed to replace). Then I thought wow that was dirty how come they did not replace that last time? Once you completed the oil change and paid i went out to my vehicle begin to leave and notice i forgot to have the wiper blade replaced as the passenger side needed it as the wiper blade was ripped. I looked at the oil change check sheet and notice that it was checked off as being ok. So with the really dirty engine filter with bugs in it not being changed or cleaned out until now and you checking off the wiper blade was fine when it needed to be changed. Just wonder if ever thing is really being checked? And that makes me wonder if I can trust I am being taken care of? I understand this is not Andy ' s fault but those work in in the oil change area.

I live in Sioux City. I went to my local Vern Edie to see about getting a new 2016 Honda Civic EX. I went through the whole process and they practically guaranteed me I would get the vehicle. Well, the next day they call me and tell me that I can't get it, due to my credit. So, I email Randy, in Sioux Falls, to see if there was anything there that I could get. Randy checked into it and made one call to the Sioux City store. I'm unsure what was said, but all of the sudden, I get a call from Vern Edie in Sioux City and they tell me I can get the car now. I don't know why they wouldn't let me get it the first time, but all because of Randy, I now own a 2016 Honda Civic EX. Randy, if you read this, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. If I didn't get this car, I would have had to leave my girlfriend and family for 5 months to go work in a different state, just to save up. I would highly recommend everyone to speak with Randy, if you're looking at getting a vehicle. I don't ever write reviews about any place, but I just want everyone to have the same amazing experience that I had.

We called to set an appointment for a 15000 mile service and were told the appointment would be an hour or so long. We planned for that as we were driving from more than an hour away. When we checked in we were told our appointment would be between 4-5 hours. When we explained that we had not planned on that, the solution was to reschedule or wait. Seeing as we were there, we opted to wait. Sensing our frustration, they rushed or vehicle in and it was done in under an hour and a half. When I came back to pick it up, it had not been washed so I had to ask to have that done and wait some more. No details of the servicing were gone over with me. We have had problems with every visit we have made to this dealer, and will not be purchasing or servicing another vehicle from here.

Time estimate was less than I expected, people were friendly, one sales person recognized me as if I were family. The verbal summary of what they checked on the vehicle was very personal. As most of you know, car repairs never happen at a convenient time. It was very hard to schedule an appointment and they do not even honor the time that you are given for an appointment. I brought my car in at 730 am ( I had already scheduled this appointment 5 days in advance) and it was not even looked at until 1pm. Not only that, but the service guy was very rude. He was not interested in helping me and made it seem as if I were a burden on his time. I am not fluent in cars so I need him to explain what needs to be done and what is actually important and he seemed frustrated because of that. He quoted me $1500 for something that was quoted $500 at my local shop in town. I was also charged $115 just for them to even look at my car. The service department had terrible customer service and they charge way too much. Would never suggest this to anyone. The only compliment I have is that the receptionist was very kind.

She caught me off guard and asked me, "Well I'm glad you took the time to look around at our location, When you are ready to take the next step, would you be trading a vehicle in?Well with me saying "Yes" she offered to see what my car is worth and while we are doing that then pick any car on the lot that you would like to take for a spin for the fun of it.I thought.. why not.. so with her just visiting with me and didn't push me but told me how special Vern Eide was to her and would feel honored to have me part of the family also.. well a few hours more I walked out wit a new car and am very happy and recommend to just to get to know Sheri because she's not just a sales woman but I am so honor to call her my new friend also! We went to Vern eide on 12th street and dealt with Steve initially we didn't make a deal and we assumed the deal was dead in the water. But then Steve surprised us and called us a few days later and said he got the deal to work with the vehicle we were interested in. After some wheeling and dealing Steve and Alex got the deal to work out. That's true customer service and is awesome to see. Would certainly recommend Vern Eide to any one and the whole team at 12th street was Great!!

I purchased a 2002 CRV, it was suppose to have gone through their "Honda Certified Inspection." There were things that didn't work on the vehicle, light and seatbelt chime, the salesman told us that it was turned off in programming. Ten years later, we found out that the switch that controlled these items was actually broken-it had fallen apart in the door. The Service advisor insisted that I have it fixed, so I relented, and had it repaired. Ever since the repair, I can't roll down the front passenger window. So, what really was an unnecessary repair now has me in line to pay for a repair that I need to have my window function.The service department is awful. I scheduled an appointment to have the actuator replaced for the second time on the driver's front door. I took my car in and planned to wait, the 1 hour it would take the service advisor yelled at me telling me that they don't make appointments, only drop off times. They would need the car for the entire day, and it would cost $500. I asked for my car back. The service advisor skidded the car across the parking lot, flung my open, ripped down the number from the rearview mirror, twisting the mirror, and stormed off back into the shop. I took the car down the street and 45 minutes later I had my car repaired for $195.Now, I just have to find the money to repair the window control that Vern Eide messed up when they repaired the switch, which should have been working when the car went through their "certified inspection." Lesson here, certified, doesn't mean working.

We were vehicle shopping and found one vehicle we liked they said we couldn't get it because with having not the best credit we had to have something newer with lower miles so after many vechule we were not interested in we said the only thing we will take Is the one we want they replied it is sold and you don't want it it has problems so we left and left it at that within days they call saying that car is avaiable if we want it we go pick it up it is great we love it but it has a ripped sit belt and has since we bought it which they have to replace due to a safety Hazzard well its been two months trying to get it in for an appointment to replace the belt they won't return calls if someone answers they are busy unsure or in a meeting

Where do i start i filled out a online credit application. My application was sent to numerous dealers but i chose verne eide due to there promptness and very polite salesmen who called. We discussed several options of vehicles and he stated that he had a 2007 suburban which would work great with a large family i thought great thats perfect since i have 5 children. So the next day i went there well the suburban wasnt ready but we have a yukon xl i thought ok great lets look at it. After test driving the vehicle i found nothing to worry about it. Well 5 days after we got it home transmission went out so i called my salesman steve witham and he said get it up here and we will fix it then it occurred to me how was i going to do that so i called a towing company and got a quote. I called steve with that quote and they said no just tow it to your closest dealer. Well i sat there for about 7 hrs waiting for them to figure out who was going to fix it. After that 7 hrs of waiting they brought me a honda accord to drive while mines being repaired. Im no mathematician but 5 children in a honda thats not going to work so i called them thats when someone i spoke with told me its not there problem and hung up. I calles them and said i am your problem until the yukon gets repaired. It took almost 2 wewks to get the yukon back. When i arrived at the dealership that was repairing it i noticed them changing the battery i asked and he said it was shot i thought kool well after i left the dealership that night i noticed headlights where going bright and dim the whole way home. The next morning i found out why the repairman didnt tighten thebattery cables i tried to talk with them with no such luck they never returned my calls i will never recommended them nor will i ever be buying anything from them any time soon. I removed ALL verne eide decals from my truck

I had a horrible experience! I had an issue with a tire valve sensor while traveling cross country. I went to the dealer because.. well, you think the dealer will do the best job possible and it's what you do when you want to feel confident that your (still new) car is fixed properly and ready for a long trip. Ultimately, the tire valve was not put in properly... this was only learned after a consistent, slow-leak was noted which caused great distress as we travelled to less populous parts of the country. We had to spend a handful of hours attending to this and it wasn't until we brought it into Walmart -- Walmart! -- which identified the problem instantly (a metal washer was put on the wrong side of the rubber gasket). The mechanic's immediately response to this was, "Ask Walmart for your money back. This should NEVER have happened!" This is exactly what I intend to do.Beyond the incompetence which threw a tension-filled wrench into our travels, the actual wait time was double what what we were told... And then we were told that they couldn't find the tool necessary to remove the TPMS message from appearing on the screen, creating an additional wait.An absolutely horrible experience. I will be talking to management for a full refund of this boggled transaction. It is the only thing that will restore my confidence in this dealership. Honda has always treated me well and I want to believe this is an isolated incidence of incompetence.

Julian Nichifor made my experience of buying a car easy, pleasant and positive. I dreaded buying a new car because I didn't want to deal with a car salesman that would just try to sell me anything they could. Julian has been my salesperson for the last two CR-Vs that I purchased. Shopping for and buying a car is truly a positive experience with Julian. He listens carefully to my specific preferences, is not pushy and works hard to find the best option for me while paying attention to every detail. But his contact with me doesn't stop once I buy the car. When I come back for service it's like coming home as he greets me like one of the family and checks in to find out about me personally and if I have any questions about my car. Looking to get your car serviced, buy new, or trade? This is the dealership for you! We took our car in for service and while we were waiting, we looked at the inventory on the lot. We were greeted by the friendly staff and said we were waiting for our car. Julian, the personable salesman that he is, asked if we would you like to drive the Honda we had our eyes on. Our first response was no, but after talking a little bit we decided why not? We took the car for a drive and when we came back, we agreed the car was nice but we were just waiting for ours to get serviced. Julian looked at our car and came back and said if we liked the new car we could trade? That was all it took for us to decide! With the help of Greg Behrens and Bryan Thu, we are driving a nice Honda Accord. They took their time with us, answered the questions we had, and we never felt pressured. The car is awesome, but more importantly we were immensely impressed with the level of professionalism and honesty that this dealership exemplified at all times. Julian has renewed my faith and trust in car salesman. From the very beginning I kept wondering if this guy is for real, because he was so nice and professional, I kept wondering when is it going to change. He was very easy to work with about the price and I had him go around the entire car and check for any scratches, dents, chips, etc. He not only did that he also took a picture on his phone and emailed it to me showing 2 little scratches, and 2 little chips. He put his finger in the picture so I had something to compare it against for size. When I flew in he offered to pick me up at the airport and give me a ride to the hotel even though I didn't arrive until 10:30 P.M., but he offered anyway. The hotel had a shuttle which I took. He also located me a hotel very close to the dealership and picked me up the next morning to go get the car. When we got to the dealership to pick my car up he already had my paperwork ready and it took about 10 minutes then I was on my way. Which was great because I had an 11 hour drive home. I'm telling you, it was tremendously easy and simple. I've been in sells for 32 years and I know how sales people live off commission, and want to close the deal so they can get paid, but this was different, it was like he wanted to do the right thing and give tremendous customer service and treat people the way he wanted to be treated and let the commission come when they come. I would honestly recommend Julian to anyone who wants to buy a car. My wife will be in the market for a car in the near future and I guarantee we will check with Julian first. I was referred to honda by a family member. I went there and did not have a very good experience with the person who I first had contact with. I then went to Julian as that is who my family member went to. I felt much better about the purchase I was making. He went over all the details of how to work everything in the car before and after my purchase to make sure I had it all down. He then called me a few days afterwards to make sure everything was to my liking, had things figured out and if I had any questions. My experience did a 360 after I dealt with Julian. I was not planning to buy a car that day, but he was able to find me a deal that I could not pass up. Kelly Harbin and the finance manager, Brad Lynch at Vern Eide made my buying experience like none other. I had so many questions and couldn't make my mind up for weeks. Kelly patiently responded to all my texts, calls and emails and never pushed. He just told me to let him know what I wanted to do. I have some credit issues so I was afraid to go and fall in love with a car that I would be denied for. So Kelly completely went to bat for me. He ran the numbers and my report and before I ever even walked into the dealership he let me know what I would need for a down payment and let me know if I could do thy down payment I could drive away with a 2013 Civic or Accord. I had my car picked out before ever walking in the door. He made the process so easy and was so organized. I wasn't a number here. I was treated like someone walking into the door with a credit score of 850 instead of the fairly low score I have. They never once made me feel bad about it. He told me what I needed to do to improve that score. Even after the purchase was made he taught me how to sync my phone up to the Bluetooth and how to program everything. He spent more time with me than I could have asked. I have never been more impressed or pleased. I will never do business with another dealership in Sioux Falls ever. Great job to Kelly and the entire staff at Vern Eide. I can't say enough good and can't extend my thanks enough for working with me. I love my 2013 Honda Accord and I am confident that nobody else in Sioux Falls could have made this happen for me. It's nice to know that some places still have enough faith to give people like me second chances at the car of our dreams that we NEVER thought we could get financed for. Many thanks!!! I have owned 2 Honda Civic Hybrids--a 2001 and 2006. Both were purchased from Vern Eide Honda and I have been very pleased with their service. Their "Honfidence" program with free tire replacement if you do all your maintenance (oil change, etc) with them is an excellent deal! While I love the mileage I get with the Civic Hybrid, I found myself wanting a vehicle that handles better in snow and ice--winters in Sioux Falls can make driving challenging! I did some research and decided I was interested in a CR-V. I stopped out at Vern Eide on Saturday afternoon and spent a most enjoyable afternoon working with Julian Nichifor--the gentleman who also sold me the 2006 Hybrid. Julian thoroughly explained the features of the EX and EX-L models. When it came time to negotiate a price, Julian was respectful and made what can be a very stressful process seem friendly and comfortable. When the purchase was complete, Julian took the time to make sure I understood all the "techie" features of the vehicle--including how to pair my phone with the vehicle. (what a difference from the days when power windows were the most advanced techological luxury available in a new car!). I'm sure I will turn first to Vern Eide when it's time for a new vehicle in a few years and I certainly hope Julian will still be there. I will highly recommend both Vern Eide and Julian to my friends and family!

I went out to Vern Eide Honda on Saturday, December 8th, to find a new car to replace my 2002 Honda Civic, which I had driven for the past 10 years. After receiving an email stating offers that Honda was offering, I went out there to see what they had available. Upon getting there, I was greeted by my friend and salesman Julian Nichifor. I explained to Julian that I was looking for a new car and showed him the email. After perusing it very briefly, he said let me show you what I got. We then went and found a pair of 2012 Honda Civic EXs and LXs. He explained for EX's, I got a Metallic Polished or a Baby Blue. I instantly liked the Metallic Polished. He went and retrieved the keys while I walked around the car inspecting it. After he got the keys and brushed off a little snow, he said "Let's take it for a drive." I said, "OK." I felt so comfortable in the car driving it down 57th Street before jumping on I-229. I remarked to Julian that it was so smooth and didn't even feel like I was going as fast as I was in fact going. I loved the dashboard with the lights, the clock, the temperature, and of course, the visual speedometer. We returned to the dealership and I test drove an LX. I liked it but not as much as the EX. We returned again to the dealership and had my mind pretty much made up but didn't want to buy that day. I told him I'd call him Monday (the 10th) and come out that night. Over the next couple of days, I took my parents out and showed it to them. They both liked it as well. I went back to Vern Eide on the night of the 10th and signed the papers and met also with Damon to discuss the financing for the car. He was very helpful explaining what I needed to do and how everything was going to go. Julian wished me a Happy Birthday since my birthday was the next day and also told me that I was really going to like the car. I didn't pick it up until the 15th but it was well worth the wait. Julian helped me get my Bluetooth/phone set up as well as the car's other options. I have had the car for almost two weeks and I absolutely love it. Thank you, Julian, for being a good friend and helping me to find this great car.

My wife and I drive a Pilot and an Accord. Daughter a CRV and her husband just bought a used Ridgeline. This review is for the great team at Vern Eide's body shop. You hope to never see these folks but on a recent trip my wife and I met an uncovered gravel truck which dropped some of its load at 65 miles an hour across the hood and into the windshield of our Pilot. We took the car in the following Monday for repairs, got a free loaner for the wife, and for the next few days hoped the car would look like new again. It was ready for pick-up on Friday and looked GREAT! Black is not an easy color to work with but the repairs look "factory". As I said, these are guys you really don't want to see but, if you do, be assured they will take excellent care of you and your car.

I wish all car salesmen were as professional and easy to work with as Julian. We bought our car right before closing and he washed the car himself and stayed to explain everything about the car to us. There were a couple little niggly things, and Julian instantly said "bring it back & we will fix everything". Julian and Vern Eide have been wonderful. When we were back in to get the things fixed 2 weeks after we bought the Pilot, the Manager remembered us and details such as what my husband does for a living. Impressive considering how busy it is there. I recommend them and will be going back to see Julian when it's time for a new car.

Wow!! In 40 years of purchasing my own cars, I can honestly say this was one of the very best experiences I have EVER had. The dealership seems to have a great reputation for being honest in their dealings and a lot of the testimonials I read supported the fact that beyond the sale, they really want to help put you in a vehicle that you love and that is best suited for you and your needs. When I did come into the store, he talked to my kids and included them in the whole process. My teenage daughter was able to see how financing works and learned about credit. Howie let my 10 year old son help with taking off the plates on my old car. This was a great experience from them. Several years ago, I had bought this very nice new red Honda Accord from Vern Eide. The car was around one and a half years old when it drowned. Sioux Falls had 8 inches of rain in one night. At that time, I was living in an apartment just east of 18th and Marion Road. The complex had underground parking. My car was one of approximately 30 vehicles that drowned that night. I was devastated that my Honda was no longer drivable. I went to Vern Eide to see if I could get another car. Julian happened to be working that day and helped me purchase a new vehicle. The original person that I had worked with when I bought the red Honda no longer worked there. Julian was so caring and helped me pick out another Accord. He made the process so easy and it didn't take that long and I had another vehicle to drive. He turned a bad experience into a very positive experience. Since that time, I have bought other vehicles from Julian. The experience is always very positive and very pleasant. When I bring my vehicle in for servicing (such as an oil change), he always greets me and makes me feel very special. Julian always goes the extra mile to make my visits to Vern Eide very pleasant.

Kelly was great to work with when I went in to check out a new Odyssey. He was helpful with answering my questions and didn't try to BS me like some other dealers, if he didn't know the answer he found out and gave me real answers. I let him know that I didn't have a lot of time because of other things going on, and he was very accommodating to my schedule and was able to get me out the door in my new van in time to get to where I needed to be. He followed up with me after the sale and even detailed the vehicle the next week since there wasn't time when I bought it. All in all a very good experience with my first Honda thanks to Kelly.

He asked the right questions to find out exactly what I was looking for in regards to the model, price, the available options and age of the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. He thoroughly explained the services provided by Honda and provided the details of the tire program. He answered all my questions, listened to my needs as a customer and was very respectful. He went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he find me the exact vehicle I that I wanted he also took the initiative to take pictures of my previous vehicle, complete the write-up and added it to Craigs list. He checked the listing on a daily basis and made sure it was at the top of the list so it would be seen. I attribute the selling of my previous vehicle solely to Kelly. Mr. French worked with us on the phone before we arrived from out of town to the dealership, as well as waited for us afterward, while we went to a different dealer to compare a different make of car. He stayed late, after hours, so we could complete the transaction that day because we live 3 1/2 hours away so couldn't get there that early and wouldn't have wanted to return the next day to finish up. We appreciated that. He was polite and friendly and I was able to get a hold of him easily afterwards, or another worker there, the few times I had questions about my new car.

We have given this rating because Bryan and Steve were EXCELLENT to work with. Bryan went above and beyond for us and was always so kind and personable - very easy to talk to. I give an overall experience an A- and the only reason it wasn't an A+ is because we didn't get to actually have the vehicle for 1 full week. But that wasn't the fault of Steve or Bryan...(I give them both A+'s!!!) It was partially because the vehicle had just been traded and hadn't been through the maintenence and detail yet, and partially because something wasn't fixed right/didn't have all the parts in when they needed them. All in all, it was great, we are so thankful for Godly people working with us and being so concerned that everything was as good as it could be before we took it home. It means a lot to us to know that we have a safe, reliable vehicle for our family. Thank you Bryan and Steve!

By mid afternoon Wiley had called me 3 times keeping us informed as to what was taking place. Wiley wasn't demanding at any time he always made a suggestion or asked us first before he moved forward. Wiley has treated us very well. Jason Brooks also made sure everything went smooth in the purchase of the truck we bought. We are first time buyers. The employees made promises and kept them. This dealership is very good to people and knows how to treat people right! Camille Oppold what an awesome receptionists. She does her job very well. She did everything she could to keep me content while on the phone. I was never on hold for maybe 30 seconds at the most. If she couldn't get the person to the answer the page she took my number and call me back as soon as she got ahold of the person I wanted. She is very prompt,polite,and friendly. These employees need a PAT ON THE BACK for the job they did for us. We have already been bragging the dealership up to our friends. This was by far the BEST car buying experience that I have ever had. I was especially happy about the patience they showed me as I was waiting for a check from a third party insurance carrier and after that they took my rental car back to Enterprise for me! That was above and beyond! It seemed to me that I received the same level of customer care and service that the couple buying the brand new Accord got even though I was purchasing a used Civic. Julian is amazing! He came to my rescue when my 1 year old Honda had a freak malfunction coming home from work at about 6 pm. I tried calling the number in the Honda book and I was told I was going to have to pay for the car (which was being leased) to be towed 110 miles and get my own rental vehicle to use while my car was being repaired. I was furious, so I made one quick call to Julian...after hours....and the problem was remedied! He had a truck deliver a car to me within 3 hours and then proceeded to drive an additional 20 miles to pick up the Honda that malfunctioned. He was definitely a lifesaver in this particular incident. His ability to calm me down in that moment because he could assure me that Honda (Vern Eide) will always take care of me was something I have not been able to get from other salesmen. Julian always stops to talk when we are in Vern Eide. His concern and care for us as people, rather than solely customers, is evident in the time he spends with us discussing jobs, family, vacations, etc. The time he gives us illustrates his dedication to his customers. Steve Larson was my salesman at the vern eide used cars on 12th st in Sioux Falls, SD. I had a great experience when I purchased my car last year. On Easter of 2012 I had trouble with my transmission. I mistakenly brought it to the Ford dealship because I thought it would be a small fix and they would have the parts. It turned out that my transmission was shot do to improper fuid put in be the previous owner. Vern eide did not have to help me since i was getting the warranty work done at Ford, but they gave me a loaner car to use for 2 weeks until my car was fixed. They went above and beyond and I can t thank them enough.

Robert Williams was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. He knew his vehicles and listened to me when I told him what I wanted and why. I had never considered a Pilot until talking to him --- I wanted leg room in the back seat and something my husband could get into easily. He was able to explain all of the features and demonstrate them so I could see them work. After getting our quote, we moved on to other dealerships to look at other vehicles. Was I disappointed, talk about high pressure salesmen! At other dealerships, I felt like nobody was listening and when they did answer, their answers were so "high pressure salesmen" answers that it turned me off completely. By the time we got home that night, I realized that I had the best deal of them all with Vern Eide --- people I could trust to have my best interests at heart.Robert called back and wanted to know how the rest of my day went. I have gave Vern Eide very good ratings as they have always treated me well and like a person, not a dumb woman that has no idea what she is doing. I have delt with a couple of other car dealerships in town and have never got the service that I get at Vern Eide. The service department always does a great job when they are servicing my car and they never do anything unless they call me and get my permission which I greatly appreicate. When I bought my car back in Oct, 2011 I worked with a salesman named Tim. I had been through some financial hardships right before needing a different car. Tim came out on the lot, introduced himself tried out several different cars with me. When I decided on a car Tim did a lot of work with the finance department and spent a week working with me to get the car at a payment I could afford after my financial hardships. Tim took the time to help me move stuff from my car that I traded in, put on the license plates for me, filled the car with gas and washed it so I was able to drive away in a new (to me anyway) clean car. Tim told me to call him anytime that i have questions or problems and when I do he is always good to return my call if he does not answer the first time. Tim also calls me from time to time to see how the car is running, if I have questions or have any problems. Vern Eide has certianly earned my trust, I will not buy from another dealership and I hope they continue to keep their friendly customer service. I will recommend Vern Eide and Tim (as the salesman) to anyone I know looking for a car. THANK YOU VERN EIDE!

I called to talk to a salesperson and was transferred to Randy. He was great to work with and helped answer all my questions and made the purchasing experience very smooth. After I had the car 3 months, a large pop spilled in the car at a fast food drive thru. I wanted to have the carpet cleaned, but wasn't sure how to go about it, so I called Randy. He set-up the appointment for me and made sure the carpet was cleaned and everything looked great. I was only charged $10 for the service! I was very impressed. Randy also followed up with me after my purchase and I know if I have any questions or problems going forward I can call him and he will help no matter how long it has been since I've purchased my vehicle. That kind of service is why I keep coming back to Vern Eide! I would definatley recommend Randy to any friends and family looking for a vehicle! Last fall I contacted Randy Finch at Vern Eide looking to refinance my vehicle due to a recent divorce. After checking my information, Randy advised me to wait and build my credit back to workable rating. I appreciated his honest opinion and thanked hiim for NOT rushing me into a financial disaster. Again, after the first of the year, I stopped in Vern Eide on my way through Sioux Falls. I wanted to see if there were any options for me. Randy once again collected my information and advised me that I was now in a better situation financially. I was interested in improving my current vehicle situation. I needed to possibly drop my monthly payment a bit but my real need was to find something that allowed me to get better gas mileage. After discussing a few different options, Randy went to work for me as he found the best possible option. I had to leave early due to work and asked Randy to call and let me know the status of my situation. Driving to work, Randy calls and tells me the great news that, by working with his boss, he was able to put me in a 2012 Honda Civic and also leasing was the best option. I truly appreciated the fact that Randy was concerned about my financial situation and helped to find what worked best for me and my kids rather than just selling a vehicle to make money as some other salesmen/dealerships do. I have had great success working with Vern Eide and Randy Finch and will continue to use them to purchase future vehicles. To top of the deal, Randy made a special effort to deliver my new vehicle to me 90+ miles away...right to my driveway and drove my old van back to Sioux Falls for me. This is NOT the first time that Randy has went out of his way to help us with a vehicle purchase. I believe this is the third trip that he has made to help my family purchase a vehicle from Vern Eide. He even delivered it to me personally for a test drive. The orientation I recieved to my vehicle was detailed, friendly and non-threatening (I am not techy at all)! The first (and only) visit to the body shop was also a refreshing experience. Randy made sure they were expecting me (and aware of my tight schedule on this particular day), and the staff treated my like a queen - I felt like I was at the spa! The most impressive thing about Julian is that he is willing to go the extra mile to help me and my wife while we were at Vern Eide. For example he washed and vacumed my wife's car & in my opinion that is pretty impressive. But that's not al--he noticed that my wife's car had some paint marks from another persons vehicle. Julian then took her car back to wax and buff the areas of paint off her car. I have never had a sales person do that for me. One of the greatest things about my car-buying experience was Bill's approach. I did not feel pressured in the slightest, and there were no sales staff waiting to approach the minute we entered the lot, which is not something I can say about most car dealerships in the Sioux Falls area. I felt like the approach was timed well - when I was becoming more interested in the vehicle and at a point where I felt comfortable discussing the possibility of a purchase.Additionally, the ease with which Bill handled the transaction from initial interest to purchase was impressive. After we bought the car and got it home, we noticed a large paint ding on the hood. When my wife brought it in for Bill's manager to look at, he immediately said that was the best they were going to do. I had to threaten to return the car and cancel the sale before Vern Eide would properly fix the ding. That is not the way a good dealership should work.

well customer service that bryan provides is just amazing i have now gone to him twice and will keep going. keep it up i have talked to a few friends and i recommended him because i felt i wasnt forced into buying a car. he stuck with what i was wanting in for monthly payment and will continue to go to bryan thu great salesman.

I have never heard of or had a good experience with Condon Honda in Sioux City IA where I live so I travelled to Sioux Falls... I bought both of my Honda'a from Bryan Thu... When I bought my Accord I walked in and decided too pick the youngest salesman I seen... Well it was Bryan... He was good to me and so I returned to buy my Pilot 5 yrs later... Good guy and has taken care of me...

This is the 2nd car I have bought from Bryan. The reason is hes knowledgeable, polite and works hard to please the customer.He has the patience of Job in teaching a senior citizen the technology, which is not an easy task. He is never condescending and gives as many time as is needed. By now he could teach school! Another reason I return to Bryan is hes accessible. He knows you and is as helpful six months down the road as before the sale. Lastly, I trust Bryan.

I am a repeat customer of Julian Nichifor and have worked with him for over 10 years. I am pleased to say that when it comes to customer service and needs he is exceptional. He does not try to convince you to buy a vehicle, he tries to fit the automobile to the needs of the customer. He is very knowledgeable not only in his product but in the competitor product. Called in to vern eide looking for new hondas, I talked to Howie lien and truely couldnt of asked for a nicer person. Everysingle question i had he had the answer right away. In the past ive delt with salesman making me feel dumb or trying to push me towards a certian car. Howie did not, he told me the ups and downs of every car i was interested in, It supprized me. In my mind by far the best salesmen i have ever delt with, if anyone ever asked me who to go to when looking for a car i will refer Howie lien.

The service I received was EXCELLENT! I mainly worked with Howie but also Matt in the tire department. They seemed to work together and got me in and out in 20 mintues for fixing 2 holes in my tire. Thanks a lot!

Extremely welcoming and no pressure sales; answered all my questions. Validated my research that the CRV is a great product. Poor attitudes and service. Made an appt at 1:45 - when they finally got to the car at about 3:00 they informed me that my "appt" time is actually a "check in" time. Bought my first car with them in 1985 and just bought my LAST car this year. Never again. Poor dealership.

I brought my 2006 Honda Civic in to Vern Eide for service. I had a loud rattle coming from under the hood. They told me that the block was damaged by the AC Compressor and the only thing I could do is order a new block for for big $$ and have them install it. I said no and they charged me a 100 bucks did no work and gave me my still broken car. I took the car apart myself and sound that the AC Compressor bracket had cracked and was rattling, ordered a new on for 30 bucks and it fixed all my problems. Vern Eide just wanted to take money from me and I will never do business with them again. Wish I could get my 100 bucks back.

I went in to Verne Eide on 21st and Minnisota to look at a used vehicle. When I got there I was greeted immediately by a sales person who started talking to me profusely about the vehicle I was looking at. We went for a test drive and all the time he is telling me about how Verne Eide is a family owned business and takes pride in making their customers happy. I decided I liked the car enough to buy it, and got caught up in the moment. After the sale was over however, calls to the dealership because of issues I found (missing ashtray for example) got a very cold "I'll see what I can do" response and never a call back. They are very happy to sell you a car, but drop the ball when it comes to "working with the customer to keep them happy." I would not go back.
