One of the best dealership buying experiences I have ever had. My wife and I drove 60 miles to see a particular vehicle. Unfortunately the vehicle was sold before we got there. Jack from sales went above and beyond locating an even better vehicle for us and bent over backwards to get us a killer deal. His manager Mike was super accommodating and both of them together made the entire process a breeze and they really made my wife and I feel appreciated! Great team Pasadena Vdub!

I would just like to commend Steve Ross, the Service Manager and his excellent staff. I was having very challenging problems with my car and his and his staff's determination and hard work resolved my issue. They wouldn't stop until the issue was resolved to my extreme satisfaction. Don't hesitate for one second to bring your car in to Steve for service. He will go the extra mile to make sure the work is done right. He is a true gentleman and a professional. Dealing with him has been the highlight of owning a Volkswagen. To Steve and his staff, thank you very, very much. You really know how to treat a customer and make them feel welcome and taken care of.

I had a great experience and would recommend to everyone. The staff was very helpful, inviting, and friendly. I had an appointment with Billy. He was very communicative and friendly. He walked me through every question I had with a smile on his face and I had a great conversation with him when we were waiting on my car. Omar in finance was also very helpful and concise. As a first time buyer I was pleasantly surprised with my experience and interactions with everyone at this location!

Claire took care of me immediately. The "mechanic put the wrong size gas cap. He was too busy so she found the correct cap and installed it. Even this desk jockey knew how to do this, Bravo Claire and the VW dealership! Dr. Brenda

Made an appointment with Arsalan to check out a used car. Decided to pass on the vehicle, but Arsalan was a total pro about it. In fact, he made such a positive impression that we later changed our minds and returned to buy the car because we were so turned-off by other sales people at other dealers. No pressure at Volkswagen Pasadena, just a supportive, customer-focused atmosphere.

Wow! These guys are great! Kevin Ho helped me and was fantastic! He found literally the exact car I was looking for and was able to get it for me. I am in the Navy and was deployed and had no access to a phone. He promptly communicated through email and when I was home he was able to get everything done. When we got to the dealer, everything was set up! He answered every question we had about the car and helped us with a lot! Everyone else at the dealer was FANTASTIC! Arsalan Baig helped us finalize the sale and set up the car. He was patient, knowledgeable and assisted in everything else we need. I will definitely be returning for my next VW and service. I like 1.5 hours away, but it is well worth the drive! I HIGHLY recommend them and the Volkswagen product and set-up!

I went in with my 2004 jetta the timing belt broke. I also needed some maintenance. The service writer Matt was very helpfull. Explained all my needed repairs. In the past I have seen where other dealers have tried to take advantage of me. So I was very relentless to trust them. And here is where it was different then everywhere else. The technician Abe (which I later found out was their shop foreman ) showed me exactly what was wrong why I needed it and what could wait. He also went as far as talking with the advisor to get me a better deal. Needless to say I will gladly travel out of my way to get my car service at pasadena vw.

I had purchased a 2014 VW Beetle from VW Pasadena from Karl the sales manager. I live in Longs SC. I was nervous being so far away and not being able to see the car in person. Karl had told me from day 1 he promised things would run smooth with the purchase and the delivery. It was he kept his promise. He set up the shipping with a reputable company that was fully licensed and insured. The car arrived as promised when promised. Since the purchase of the car I have had a couple of things I needed done even though Karl is in California and I am in South Carolina he made sure everything was done and stood by my side the entire time. It has been a couple of months since I purchased the car and I'm having issues with my local dealer and believe it or not Karl stepped up and is handling it from 3000 miles away. I have never got any better service from any company I cannot believe what wonderful service I am getting from him. Highly recommended. ...

I am so thankful that when I called VW Pasadena to have my car serviced, Ron Hancock answered the phone. I had more than one disappointing experience at the New Century VW location. Just when I thought I lost all faith in anything/everything related to VW, Ron stepped in and made a huge difference. I can't thank him enough for the time and energy he put toward the service and repair of my Golf. What a great guy. VW Pasadena is fortunate to have him.

Pasadena VW is great. Wendy welcomed me in. I did not have an appointment. She said no problem. She asked what I needed. My Jetta Hybrid needed the every 10,000 mile service. She knew just how long it would take and let me know. The location has a customer shuttle. They drove me home. Wendy called and left a message. My car was ready ahead of schedule. Great news!! As I arrived Claire saw me coming and steered me toward the cashier. My service was included at no charge and they washed my car. Just amazing. If you have a VW, my advise is get it serviced at Pasadena VW. Ask for Wendy or Claire. Both will take good care of you and your car.

Thank you Wendy Duong for taking care of my repairs. My car had several issues after I had taken it to a body shop for repairs. Wendy and the technicians at Volkswagen of Pasadena found several issues and performed the repairs successfully. They kept me informed during the process and gave me detailed explanations of the issue and the repairs they performed. I live in the south bay and don't mind driving to Pasadena. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FACILITY, VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY STAFF. THANK YOU.

I have had my VW's serviced at Volkswagen Pasadena for over 10 years. When I moved from Pasadena to Downtown LA I tried local VW dealers but never received the same level of service or value for money that I had in VW Pasadena. So now, even though its 15 miles from my home, I always come here. On my last visit, Ron Hancock took care of me and was able to accommodate my limited drop off and pick up times which made the whole experience easy and convenient. As someone who has tried most of the VW shops in the LA area, I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here.

The sales people understood the type of buyer I was very quickly and respected my wishes on how I wanted to buy the car and the limited time I had on hand. They come across as very honest and I was happy not get the heavy sales pitch to buy things I wasn't interested in purchasing. If a car buying experience can be pleasant, this one was.

I got a nice 2013 yellow Beetle from this dealer. It was great purchasing experience. Arturo, the sales consult was kind and nice and patient. He walked me through all the complex steps. I almost lost that yellow Beetle, somehow they finally managed to bring it to me. The price was good, the car is awesome!! If you want to get a VW, VW Pasadena is a great place to go.

My husband and I went in just to "look" at a Tiguan. We had just relocated from abroad and weren't financially "ready" for the purchase. We were welcomed from the second we got off our car by one rep... And from then on things just moved so smoothly we had out car delivered the morning after. They worked with our finances and we were able to settle for a great deal! They were all super friendly and professional, diligent and transparent. We are planning on getting a second car in a few months and we know we'll buy there again!

I came in on a Saturday morning without an appointment to see whether the service department would fit in an initial inspection service. They did the service, did it without delay, and the whole visit was pleasant and handled well by Matthew Bell, the service writer. It was nice to deal with a service writer who was intelligent and knowledgeable. I plan to continue using this service department.

I had to trade my car in, it was sooner than i had wanted to but it worked out ok. Pasadena VW was great and very pleased with the help. I got into another GLI with more features than my last GLI and I'm very Happy!! I wont go to any other dealer other than Pasadena although i live in West Covina CA. Tried a number of times to go to Bozanni VW and they have fail me, i got a call back from a manager who said he would follow up on the inncident that had happened and never got a call back, he was to call me to at least comp me. NEVER HAPPENED BOZZANI!! Anyways back to Pasadena, they we're all great with me and helped me out. Great Customer Service is what makes me keep coming back!! All the names i've listed are people i've dealt with yesterday. So if anyonce needs a good sales consultant ask for Arsalan Baig and then you will more than likely work with the others as they will work with your sales consultant to get you in the car you wish to own. They will show you around the dealer and show you service etc. PASADENA VW is the way to GO!!!Proud Owner of a 2013 Jetta GLI Autobahn

One word "Outstanding" Pasadena VW was great from the start!! After having a horrible experiance at Bozzani VW in Covina, I decided to come to Pasadena VW. I received a phone call from Jasmine Favela to follow up on my inquiry I had submitted via the internet. She was very helpful over the phone and advised she would be have a sales man contact me regarding the VW Jetta GLI I was interested in. No more than a couple hours later I received a phone call from Joseph Campos who was very nice and helpfull with all of my questions. He was on very prompt with follow calls. I later made an appointment with him for the following morning to take a test drive and make the deal happen. From the time i walked into Pasadena Volkswagen i was treated with respect!!! He introduced himself and before anything took me out to take a test drive to make sure the car was a fit. Sure enough i fell in love with the VW JETTA GLI. No pressure or pushing me to get the car, he asked what i thought. I said lets make this happen!!! I was introduced to the Sales Manager John Cook, very nice gentleman by the way. He stated he would be helping along the way and working with Joseph Campos to seal the deal. Both Joseph Campos and John Cook were a great help and knew what they were talking about. After submitting my application, instead of having to wait around for my approval. Joseph gave me a tour of Pasadena Volkswagen and introduced me to Service, Cashier and advised me of everything need to know about VW Pasadena.Once i was done with that little tour, I received the approval and off to financing to sign all my paper work! It was a very quick process!! Once i was done with that Joseph walked me out to swap all my personal belongings from my old car into the NEW VW JETTA GLI :)Total time at the dealership, 2 hours which went by really fast!!!Thank you PASADENA VWFive Stars *****

Volkswagen Pasadena has had and in my opinion, will always have a terrible reputation. This has been the worst experience with purchasing a new vehicle that I have ever had in my life. There were a total of 2 competent employees by the name of "Peter" and "Josh". All of the rest are either liars or hagglers. My experience had started when I had come off of active duty military orders, my lease on my GTI was expiring and I had to have a new car. After hours of bargaining, the employee that I was working with, (Vic) and his manager, had promised that they would take care of my GTI's wear and tear issues if I was willing to drive off the lot with another car today. I had thought it was a great deal, and now...I am learning otherwise. My insurance payments have not gone through, nor have they been made and whenever I call to see what is going on, I am always given the same run around. "Let me check up on it and call you right back." Needless to say, I have never once received a return call or a status. The finance guy (Kevin) is completely condescending and rude if you deny the extra packages (which don't even help you at the end of your lease anyway apparently) and treats you with the utmost disrespect and also the same way with his co-workers. It's even worst that the managers are the ones who promote lying to the customer as well. I will not stop at fighting for my insurance claim, I will also be fighting to have these people replaced, because the fact of the matter is, that none of these people respect the customer at all. I will conclude this review by saying this. To my brothers and sisters serving in the United States Armed Forces, if these people at the dealership will not treat you with the respect that you deserve...imagine how they are treating the people who's freedoms that we defend.

I don't know about all the other reviews about this place, but my experiences here has been nothing but great. Ive worked with almost everyone in the service department here, I usually go to Mike, he is great everytime, and Norm is great too. Ive never had problems with scheduling, sometimes, I just go in on a whim and get my car serviced right away. They always wash my car, have wireless in the lounge, and a tv if I decide to wait. I bought my Jetta here, and bring it to be serviced. Ive never been ripped off, and in fact, they have fixed things in my car for me just out of courtesy! I have nothing bad to say about this place from my numerous visits here.

I went to buy a car from there but the sales people and the managers were so dishonest. They say oh let me introduce you to my manager, oh let me introduce you to my other manager, suddenly you will have like 3-4 people around you harassing you and being so unprofessional, I do not know how VW America gave them the license to sell Volkswagen, it gives such a bad name to the company. I obviously left and bought my car from some one else. Every site I have visited about dealership reviews this dealership has the worst one I can not believe how Volkswagen had not canceled their license!!!!

This has got to be the WORST VW dealership I've experienced. I was confronted (yes, confronted...not greeted.) by this guy NORMAN...what a condescending character. I was there for the first time for an oil change, and he started selling me services that I didn't need. After I told him that I already had my scheduled services done elsewhere and didn't want anything else to be performed other than the oil change, his attitude got worse. Then he told it'll cost me $92 for the oil change. WHAT? $92 for an oil change? I've taken my car to many VW dealerships in the Los Angeles County for oil changes and they all cost between $38-$45. Not until I asked him several times why it cost that much that he told me that they use synthetic oil, which was not necessary for my car. I asked him what was the price for the regular oil. He pulled out a seemingly price list and viewed it with secrecy. He told me it'll cost $68 for the regular oil. As a customer, why would I believe anyone that hides their prices from me and expect me to pay any random price that he pulls out of his *SS?

I would not recommend this company to even my worst enemy and I have not even been to their dealership, live in Ohio, and from my telephone experience with them, think they must be crooks. We have a mentally challenged 34-year son for whom I am legal guardian since he is over 21. This company left a telephone message for him asking him to call back at 1-800-560-5800. Since I am legally required to handle his business affairs I called and asked who I was speaking to. They refused to tell me. I asked what company this was to be sure I had reached the number left on our answering machine. They said Volkswagon of Pasadenia which was the name of the company left. I asked why my son was being harrassed (three messages left) and I was given the biggest run-around ever. I was told by a George Ruiz that I should be in a mental institution. I was told by a Janice who claimed to be the Office Manager that no one called. I was told by a Roger Clemmons that it must have been a wrong number. I asked him "How could someone call our number in Ohio, ask for my son John specifically giving our last name (which to our knowledge there are only 16 in the entire US as it is so unusual) and not be correct. He only laughed. I was hung up on over 15 times by various individuals in trying to get to the bottom of this harrassment. Our son's identity had been stolen and someone has used his name to get credit and we get bills that our not ours. I wanted to be sure this was not another one. Volkswagon of Pasadena aka TransOcean Volkswagon obviously is one of most diabolical companies in the Volkswagon organization and really should be investigated as they would not deny that they hire illegal aliens.

After reading all these bad reviews, I will have to be more vigilant in verifying my future service records. Overall, my experiences with Trans Ocean has been good, though I've had a couple of unresolved issues with my Jetta: right front passenger window still opens and shuts uncontrollably even after it was serviced free for some defect; my ABS light still flashes on and off, even after the guys "fixed" it. However, I mostly go in for my free oil changes and scheduled maintenance, and everyone is cordial. My favorite employees there are "George," as well as the old guy who shuttles me to work. I can say that a couple of employees do give off a sense of attitude. Besides that, they have always been on time, if not early on their delivery promise. I need that as a busy working mom.

I always trusted them with the maintenance of my passat since I bought it in 2002, because they seem to be nice people when you talk to them. But I just learned that you can't always trust people who are apparently nice. I took my car there for 40,000 mile maintenance; they included a lot of items that needs to be replaced and cleaned, which ended costing me about $900. This doesn't include the problem they found out: my CV boots need to be replaced because there are holes on them which will cost about extra $550. I asked the person if this should be covered under warranty(I'm still under warranty mileage and period), she told me no, it's tear and wear like breaks, NOT Covered. I said I would need to think about it. I asked different mechanics who quoted me much lower price, around $200-300. Before having any jobs done, I called VW Pasadena again just to confirm that if I have this job done by a non-dealer mechanic, it would not affect my warranty. I talked to a different person at the service department, and I asked again if it should be covered under warranty, this time the person said it should be if it's natural wear instead of caused by an accident. So I asked to talk to their service manager. Their service manager first tried to cover it by saying that it could be caused by running over a box on the road, etc, so that's why their advisor said it's not covered under warranty the first time. I told him that I never had an accident or have the car towed. He finally agreed that probably it's natural cause and should be covered under warranty. So I took my car there and they fixed it for free. The next day when I was filing my maintenance records, I found that during my 40,000 mile maintenance, they recommended and preformed throttle body cleaning which they did the same during my 35,000 maintenance. So I called a couple of dealers and asked how often this should be done. The answer I got is that it should be cleaned every 20,000 to 50,000 miles depending on the driving habit and gas type used. So I took the paperwork back to them again, the service manager couldn't give any explanation, beside their service advisor overlooked it. He had to agree to refund me the money they charged me for it last time. I escalated this issue to their service director, and asked him if the part is not dirty, why their technician recommended cleaning it. He said, they recommended it based on the mileage, which normally should be cleaned around every 30, 000 miles, that's why they recommended it when I had 35,000 and 40,000 miles, and their service advisor didn't check the record which shows that it has been done at 35,000 maintenance. Basically they only said sorry that their staff overlooked it.Then my question would be, 1. The technician only recommended it because it's about time, not really because the throttle body was dirty and needed to be cleaned. 2. Did the technician really cleaned the throttle body as they claimed on record, because it should be pretty clean since it was cleaned only 3 months ago. I found these out after double and triple checking, I cant imagine how many times I was ripped off during the years I always trusted them.I would never recommend anyone to use their service, because they simply not honest people.

I recently went in for an oil change and was shocked to find out they had doubled the price since the last time I was there. No joke: $90 for an oil change. Can you say "bend over"?Then again, why should I be surprised? The service dept at Transocean has done nothing but give outrageous, bloated estimates for the last 3 years. The day I purchased my used Passat from Transocean they installed an aftermarket battery in the vehicle (I have the invoice to prove it). Volkswagon's manual clearly states this may cuase problems. And it it did. 2 years later my ABS light started blinking. Brought it in to get it checked and it turned out there was wire misfire between the battery and the ABS computer, rendering it useless. Price of repare: $2000. And this was a "dealer-only" repair. How convenient.Transocean took no responsiblity for the misfire despite the fact that it was directly related to the faulty battery that they installed. After haggling back and forth and talking to the manager I was able to get a VW battery installed at no cost. The $2000 repair was recently reduced to $1300. Still outrageous.I have contacted VW of America with my complaint. It remains unresolved to date.

I bought my car here through the Costco "hassle-free" type program and worked directly with the sales manager on the sale. I had a very good experience with him. (As a side note, the interaction I first had was with a floor salesman was not so good. He was a bit pushy and slick. He quoted me a price for a CD player extra that was several hundred dollars too high, which I discovered when the sales manager --not knowing about this previous interaction-- gave me a different price.)However, I would never go back here now because I refuse to deal with the service department again. I last went in for for a recall repair to the electrical switch for the hazar lights and an oil change. (I happen to have a coupon for free oil changes that was provided to me by the sales manager because my family had bought cars here three separate times. No more though, my mother got her most recent Volkswagen in Glendale and has been happier with that relationship.) Norman, the service mgr, looked at a supposed notation on my service record from 10 months prior regarding the timing belt. He came out and listened to my engine and said that he could hear that the swing-arm tensioner for the timing belt was binding, and that could cause wear and early failure of the timing belt. He said that he WOULD NOT take my car in for the oil change unless I agreed to a $500 repair to the timing-belt tensioner! because he did not want to be responsible if it broke while at their shop.My timing belt had less than 20k miles on it (I had it changed by another, more honest mechanic.) There are still no unusual sounds coming from my engine. I have had this checked out by another mechanic who found no issues. I have continued to drive my car around without incident.I would not buy another Volkswagen here because I do not want to have to deal with the service department ever again. I am going to forego my free oil changes and pay for them somewhere else because I really do not trust those guys at all now.As I indicated, this is not the first incident I have had with them. Another memorable time my check engine light came on and I brought it in to them according to the manual. It turned out that the cap to the gas tank was not screwed on tight enough. They charged me $80 to tighten my gas cap!If necessary I would suggest you deal with George in service, and stay the hell away from Norman. But regardless, to me it seems apparent that this place is not being run with an emphasis on integrity in their customer service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO TRANS OCEAN VW IN PASADENA.
They are TERRIBLE!

We dealt with FOUR different people. I cannot recall the main sales guy who helped us intially. He is the only nice one. We could tell he even thought everyone were crooks. He was going to help us get a cd changer from another store at cost...really cool.

Anyways, we went in wanting to buy a certified pre-owned car. Found one we loved.
Short version is: we went on a Friday night and after having to deal with Kevin (big guy, with fuzz-like mustache). We left furious with how weazley and rude he was.

Returned Saturday after speaking with Long on the phone, him saying we could get the same deal as we had discussed the night before.
We get there, drove 50 miles, btw...Long pushed us on another salesperson! This new one, Andy Tran, was the worst! Talked over us, kept repeating himself, avoiding answering questions.
They wouldnt stick to their word about the discussion from the previous night. Kevin completely LIED about what he had said.

GRRRRRR! I would rather pay thousands more and go somewhere else!
I wouldnt trust them with servicing either from all of the posts Ive read.
Read up on them at www.vwvortex.com. Search the forum archives and read up!
KC and Dave made everything fairly painless. I did have to ask them to drop $100 of the invoice because I did not want to pay for detailing and gas. Dave dropped it without much discussion.

So far, Dave has been extremely helpful in assuring that the only problem so far, a loose antenna mount, was resolved promptly and without any pain and suffering.

The repair department people strike me as extremely professional and courteous. The car is running great so far (only problem - my wife keeps taking it leaving me with the Mountaineer!!!).

This dealer is widely known to be one of the worst VW dealers in SoCal, and my experiences there bore that out. I went there specifically to buy a car from the only competent people there, the internet/fleet dept. After spending an hour dealing with someone who insisted that the person I was there to see didnt work there, and at times insisting that there was no fleet dept., I was finally able to see them after demanding repeatedly. All in all, I would not want to shop there if I wasn't using the fleet department, and if you value your time at all you won't either.
