This review is of the service center at Volvo of Santa Monica...I have been bringing my Volvo here for service since new all the way from Pasadena (yes, I know there is a Volvo dealer in Pasadena) and have been completely satisfied each time. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Maria and Carlos and they are great. Very friendly, personable, and helpful unlike at some of the other dealers (like the one in Pasadena) where the service advisors are basically just people that write up service tickets. They are da bomb! The entire service staff is great! My car is returned completely and correctly serviced, and clean. I was just there today for service and they even washed my car even though it was pouring rain! Now what dealer would wash your car for you when it's raining (not the one in Pasadena...they didn't even wash my car for me when I bought it because it was raining)?There are plenty of Volvo dealers in the Los Angelesl area and I've dealt with at least four of them in the past and Volvo of Santa Monica is by far the best!

I want to express my appreciation to Volvo of Santa Monica for a wonderful buying experience. From my first contact with Candice, to signing on the dotted line, Daniel, Mazi, Alma and the service technician ( forgot his name) were so friendly and helpful. I flew in from Texas to check out the car and they were very accommodating to my tight schedule. There was never a hardsell and I appreciate the honesty of Mazi when he was very up front with the fact that he did not know much about the car. I've purchased many cars, and one of the biggest turnoffs for me is some salesman making things up! The entire experience, from first contact thru purchase and delivery of the car, was exceptional. Thank you so much.

Avior presented herself with a relaxed and open manner. She appeared genuine at all times and seemed interested in helping me have a comfortable and low stress experience while I was at the dealership. She maintained a professional yet, at the same time, friendly and personable style. My wife enjoyed chatting with Avior about family while we waited our turn to complete the final paperwork. I was left with the impression that if Avior lived in our neighborhood she would make a great neighbor. The dealership in general seemed friendly and helpful overall and all persons I dealt with worked to facilitate a speedy and complete transaction. A very pleasant experience.

These guys were great. They offered me a price below KBB value on a used car and got me out the door with a minimum amount of time and hassle. When there was a problem with the car they handled it like gentlemen with the utmost professionalism and two days later I was back on the road with the car running perfectly.

I was supposed to go golfing with my Dad on a Sunday morning and he called to say it was too rainy. My Dad said, instead, your mother and I have decided that we want to buy you a new car today:) I was in shock and the sheer excitement set in. I was shopping for a new car after having a Ford Explorer for 16 years! I didn't know where to start. Do I get an Infiniti, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Mercedes, Range Rover? I wanted an SUV. Ironically, I parked in front of the Volvo dealership because I saw an Infiniti crossover for sale and I wanted to check it out. Sure enough, it was too small but the Volvo cars had caught my eye. After hours of test driving other vehicles, I returned to the dealership to test drive the Volvo Xc60. I knew from the moment I pulled away that this was my new car:) Thomas was a great salesperson because he never pressured. He let the car sell itself. He was informative, cordial, and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Santa Monica Volvo because their staff represents the quality of the car they are selling. All of them joined in to help which showed me the family oriented nature of that dealership. After years of driving, I am finally excited to drive my new car and look forward to many more years as a Volvo owner.

I have bought a lot of cars in the past and had been to every Volvo dealer in town before finally buying this car. Tom was great to work with. He gave me a no haggle price and Glen really made it happen by finding me a good rate. The whole staff was personable and we felt comfortable and cared for. There was no rush and no pressure. The whole team worked together to got me into a car I wanted at a great price. I've already handed out Tom's card to someone shopping for a Volvo and would do it again and again.

I recently purchased a Volvo S60 and just wanted to thank the crew at Volvo of Santa Monica. I love the car and the purchase was smooth and and actually fun. Thomas Browne was a laid back no hard sell type of salesman who even gave me one of his famous breakfast burritos. Glenn gave me a great deal on the car as well as great financing rate. He even threw in a couple perks which I won't disclose because I don't know if he does that for everybody. When going over the contract Alma was very open to any questions I had, and went over every option available with no hidden cost. In closing I would like to thank everyone at SM Volvo because buying a car can really be a pain. Everyone from sales, finance, and technicians were very upbeat. They even detailed the car before handing it over! Once again, thanks to all.DF

I now own my second volvo. And both this and my previous have been serviced at Volvo of Santa Monica. In fact, because of the reliability, friendliness, honestly and help that I have received, I knew that I would buy a volvo again when my first began to get old. Everyone is extremely friendly. They have always gone out of their way to extend courtesy and help me with my car. Even after my warranty expired, I still went to Volvo Santa Monica for my repairs. Even though I knew that it was a little more expensive than other service centers, I trust Carlos and that is very rare and valuable. As a blond woman in LA, I have had numerous experiences where mechanics try to take advantage of me and my car repairs, mistakingly assuming me as naive. So to have a place to take my car, where I know I am not being lied to or mislead, and where i know the work will be done exceptionally well, I feel very lucky. Just let me say this ,In this world we live in today it is a breath of fresh air to have someone honest and forthright who makes me feel that my business is worth something ! Pleasantly suprised to find Volvo of Santa Monica a very relaxed environment and non pressure atmosphere. Our initial experience included a finance person introducing us to the model we were looking for and then suggesting that we spend some time with the car and he would come back to answer questions and review the car. It was nice to not have the traditional 20 questions as to "when are you going to buy, what are you trading, how's your credit...etc."We were introduced to Thomas Browne, a sales associate that took care of us through the negotiation process and getting the car we wanted. He took the extra time to look for cars beyond their inventory, he even delivered paperwork and accessories for the car directly to our home saving us a trip into their office.The purchasing experience that we had at Volvo of Santa Monica was great, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a Volvo.CheersTim

After being disappointed by a lot of different car brands and dealership while looking for a new crossover, i finally met Lev and one of the nicest dealership in town. They take time for you, don't rush you, they are proud of their products (and you can easily see why), they value your time. I have a 2004 XC90 and I have had really great experiences with this particular dealership. The service I received on my most recent visit was even more memorable. I have three small kids and Carlos the service advisor was very helpful . He not only was able to provide our family with a loaner car with basically , no stress or hassle he even helped me transfer the car seats. I was also contacted by Rick Cotwright the service director re: the job ,he explained everything throughly in terms I could understand . He was both professional and pleasant . When I came to pick up my car to my delight, it had been washed and for our busy family it was one more errand I did not have to make! It really comes down to great service along with is these little touches that keep me loyal. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to all my friends.Sheryl Seifer

Purchased a used Expedition, found that the A/C did not work once home. It took some negotiation, but they did fix it for free, although it took 2 trips. A power window motor broke while at the dealership, they fixed that too without a hassle. The service dept. is the best part of this dealership.
